I DID IT. I SURVIVED GREEN CREEK.
My struggle has essentially been EXACTLY like the characters in this series, just as difficult, just as treacherous, just as HEARTBREAKING.
this is the truth.

Aight so now that I have finished Brothersong I have THOUGHTS on further logistical breakdowns of how Green Creek could be adapted to a GLAAD Award-Winning HBO TV show. Spoilers so here is a cut for anyone who wants to be fresh to the series.
PRE-PRODUCTION
OKAY SO! The filming block for Season 1/Wolfsong would MOST LIKELY be the biggest, especially for scenes involving younger versions of the actors. As these are spread out across, like, all four books, some are just “scene we’ve seen but from a different perspective or with ‘Dream Seauence VFX’ so we just need more blocking/extra takes to make it all seem believeable using B-roll” to “yeah this requires Young Thomas and various child actors so we’re filming this beforehand so that everyone looks the same when these scenes come up later” to “ah hell we gotta shave their heads anyways might as well film the revenge road trip.” Thus, basically everyone but, like, Dominique would have to be cast by Season 1, and probably all of Season 1 and half of season 2 would need to be written and finalized and drafts/outlines of Season 3 and 4 would need to be made before casting would begin. Writer’s room would include TJ and a racially-diverse LGBT staff.
Caswell wouldn’t need to be fully built but enough of a location would be needed to film individual scenes with the younger actors and scenes set in the big house at Caswell (ie arguments between Mark and Thomas, Joe being taken, Thomas in the woods with the kids, Thomas writing the letters)
Title sequence would be based on the lovely new covers for the hardcover editions from Tor. They’d get longer with each season and by the end we see the whole pack in the papercraft style of the covers.
CASTING
Yeah we’d need a big ass cast. With multiple actors to play different characters at different ages.
Babies:
Carter, Kelly, Joe, maybe also Gavin depending on things
Children:
Gordo, Gavin, Mark, Rico, Chris, Tanner, Carter, Kelly, Joe, Robbie
Young Adult (ie Teen to Mid 20s) and Adult (ie by the Rough Present of when Ox first discoveres the secret of the Bennetts)
Basically everyone else
The tricky part will be that, yeah, there will probably need to be different actors for 20s Thomas, Elizabeth, Mark, and Gordo because while a 20-something can play 16 or so, its harder for 30-40 year olds to play 20-something. The upside being that an older actor CAN play Gordo for the scenes after Ox’s dad leaves (also Ox’s dad will need a name lol). You would need to switch to older actors for the Bennett kids and Ox basically once Ox graduates high school. But then you can keep all the same actors for the rest of the “present” set scenes. Osmond, and Robert Livingstone would also need younger actors. Richard Collins would only need one actor he’s barely in the flashbacks as it is.
STRUCTURE/PLOT RAMBLINGS
There are a few things that would need to be done in order to improve the pacing for TV, imo. Mainly, that the handing off of Alpha of All to the Fairbanks pack needs to feel more earned and less semi-random. Like, show them taking in Omegas at the end of Season 2, have them be allies at Caswell in Season 3 and the final battle in Season 4. Flesh them out a bit more. Also some continuity smoothing would be needed (ie clarifying that Gordo refused Mark’s MATE bite not Thomas’s BECOME WOLF bite).
Some more forshadowing of Robert’s failsafe in Season 2 would help. Obviously SHOW Gavin’s timber wolf in the attack on Jessie (and ideally have the actor be the body actor wearing the CGI ball suit moving all wolf-like in the scene) in Season 1.
I’d personally add in more of a wrap-up in Caswell at the end of Season 4. And also an extended aftermath scene or episode after Ox’s resurrection. Joe’s wolf is still bigger than almost everyone else, but not as big as it was when he was Alpha. One thing that I’d ask to be added is, maybe with the death of Robert and the ressurrection of Ox there’s a big ass magic pulse and we get a follow-up with the new Alpha of All from Alaska training Betas who have become Alphas thanks to Mystical Moon Magic as they rebuild packs across the continent. Idk the story needs more of a denumont. Alpha of All making more of an effort to try and bring Omegas back from the brink before just automatically deciding to kill them.
Dominique could have human bite marks on her to show thar Jessie tried to “Mate Bite” too even as a human. Bambi and Rico too.
He/They Gavin? Maybe? Gavin feels very he/they. Also Elizabeth showing affection to Maggie (hey if we’re gonna imply that Thomas and Richard had a kind of romantic love for each other in Brothersong before he went Omega Lizzie can make side-eye at Maggie).
Show more of the three year gap between Ravensong and Heartsong (not a lot but more than just one bit when Robbie is kidnapped). And the new story in the deluxe hardcover books too. The myth or whatever. That can be animated in a sketchy style (think Princess Kaguya or Wolfwalkers) with VO from Elizabeth.
Anyway rambling over I love these books so much. TJ I woudn’t say no to a LIGHT DRAMA/mostly fluff 5th book or short story. Maybe from Chris or Tanner’s perspective? Or Jessie’s?

*drops this and runs*
Robbie laughed. “What’s he gonna do? Sic Rico on me? I can take him.” Everyone in the group tensed at the same time and Kevin dropped his phone, cursing under his breath. Kelly, Dominique and Robbie noticed, and Jessie’s brow furrowed.
“You guys ok?” Robbie asked.
“Ha,” Nicky said, voice a bit tight. “Yeah, yeah, we just--well we don’t have the best experience with Rikos, but as long as yours doesn’t have any face tattoos and murderous tendencies I’m sure it's fine.”
The four’s eyes bounced between Neil and Kevin’s tattoos. “Uh,” Robbie said. “Yeah, no tattoos.”
“He might have a tramp stamp,” Jessie said thoughtfully, and Robbie whirled on her.
“No--there’s no way, are you being serious?? How did he hide it?!”
Jessie and Kelly both laughed. “I don’t know, I just wouldn’t put it past him,” she said.
“Gordo would know,” Kelly said.
“Gordo would hide it,” Robbie said.
Jessie and Kelly snorted. “no, he would not,” they said at the same time.

BENNET PACK HEADCANONS
Part 3 of ?
Green creek series spoilers
Remember that scene where original human team was with Gordo hanging out at the Lighthouse and writing down what Gordo likes in a man?
Imagine if Mark found the list.
“Elizabeth?”
“Yeah?”
“Do you think im fat?”
“… Excuse me, what?”
Since he found it, he continuously stares at Carter, trying to erase the disturbing image of him and Gordo dating.
But… he checks almost all the boxes in Gordo’s type’s list. He isn’t even jealous, just curious.
“Gordo, do you think you could date anyone much younger than you?”
Gordo’s sitting on the couch with his head on Mark’s lap “What the fuck? What kind of question is that? I’m not into children Mark.”
“No, I mean… someone that has around… idk, 30 years?”
“Huh… maybe?”
“Would you ever date Carter then?”
“WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK MARK”
“Is not that weird if you think about it, also your brother looks a lot like you so he wouldn’t be that-”
“Wait, WAIT. Rico showed you the list, right? Oh that fucking asshole, Im going to murder him.”
Robbie enters the room drinking apple juice, he heard everything.
“…”
“…”
“…”
“You know, it kinda makes sense, Carter and Gavin are like a much younger, inexperienced and softer version of you two-”
*Lamp explodes*
One day Robbie was scrolling through social media feeds and a video about benefits of yoga appeared.
“It relaxes and perfects body posture?”
He sends it to Gordo, Carter and Gavin. They all reply: no. Except for Gavin.
So once a week they go to the forest and try it out.
Jessie joins Robbie and Gavin after she founds them following the instructions of a Youtube video and failing miserably.
She is probably the most flexible of them all, so she is able to teach them. Also, she likes it.
Dominique and Elizabeth join too after a while.
In the end, most of the pack is bonding through yoga and Carter and Gordo try it out. They get bored after a while, and Gordo keeps saying things like “im too old for this” or “should have left the town when i had the chance”
But he likes the look on Marks face when they are doing exercises in pairs, he seems happy and calm.
This lead us to another thing. And is that Mark feels a lot more calm when Gordo’s around.
Elizabeth was the first one to notice.
I like to think this two are as close as siblings. Sometimes when they are alone they get comfortable on the couch and drink tea while they talk about their past, Thomas, their pack, how glad they are they all found their soulmates…
Everyone knows Elizabeth will never be the same, her heart has been shattered to many times. But she is still able to smile and be a good mother and a good person.
Part of that is thanks to Mark, sometimes she feels worst than usual, and looks for Mark. Of course they all notice, but they know Mark is the only one that is able to take it all out. Since he’s been with her all the time.
They sit in the forest and talk. And laugh. And cry.
When they are done they just lay there for hours until the pack arrives and make sure they already finished talking.
One by one they sit near them, or lay their heads on their chest of stomach. And just… exist.
Sometimes they talk. About what they did that day. Others Elizabeth tells stories about Thomas or the old pack.
When she does that they all listen quietly, letting her voice and the forest’s sounds cuddle them.

I forgot to upload this here. Honestly I've been so disappointed about the response to this elsewhere and I don't expect to get much better here. It sucks because I spent so many hours on it and it took a lot of courage for me to post this. It's hard for me because I don't want to share my art if nobody fucking cares. I dunno man.
Anyway here is the description:
I recently read the Green Creek/Wolfsong series by TJ Klune and I really loved it. I love how the werewolves behave with each other, it's a beautiful story and I enjoyed the whole thing.
So the characters are as follows: Timber colored wolf is Gavin, he's cuddling with Carter. Top middle is Robbie (top) and Kelly. Top right is Elizabeth. Middle is Oxnard (black) and Joe (white.) Middle right is Rico (wolf) and Bambi with their baby. Bottom left is Dominique (wolf) and Jessie. Bottom middle is Chris and Tanner. Bottom right is Mark (wolf) and Gordo.
First, some of the wolf forms don't have very detailed descriptions, so I had fun and went a little wild designing those ones. I didn't stick very close to how the humans are described because I had a picture in my head and these are what they looked like to me. Probably my biggest headcanon in this whole thing is Carter. When I was reading their book I noticed they were going through a lot of struggles as I did when I first started working out I was trans. In that spirit, I made Carter transfem/mtf. As I was thinking through this I envisioned her realizing it after the conclusion of the series and that she's started hormone therapy. Because of this, when she transforms she is a female bodied werewolf. I've always done this with my wereanimal characters so I decided to do this here. It's just something I've always found comforting and fun as a transmasc person when I make wereanimal characters.

2019 & 2010s Best/Worst
Because I like lists and cataloguing the dumb shit I cared about. As my brother once said after seeing and reviewing NOW YOU SEE ME on a lazy Sunday, ‘Some would say it was a waste of time, others might say it was a colossal waste of time.’
I’ll admit, it’s a bit over-the-top. Particularly including the Pats, but yeah, in the Tom Brady era that started when I was 14 as a Freshman in high school to 33 years old now and wrapping up soon-ish (?), there’s not a chance in hell I’ll care as intimately about this shit. I grew up with it at just the right time.

Ten fresh living spaces with white interiors
Interiors that are (almost) completely white can have a calming, minimalist feel. For our latest lookbook we have collected ten examples from the Dezeen archive, ranging from an Australian penthouse to a Japanese-informed apartment in Barcelona.
While most of these interiors also feature some colour, what unites them is their bright white walls and mostly wooden floors. The lack of paintings and other wall hangings could have felt cold and sparse, but instead creates an almost monastic, peaceful feeling.
Book collections in vibrant colours liven up some of these monochrome rooms, while others feature one detail in a contrasting hue or add tactile accessories to create more visual interest.
This is the latest roundup in our Dezeen Lookbooks series providing visual inspiration for the home. Previous roundups include Scandi-style living rooms, loft conversions by architects and L-shaped kitchens.
Penthouse M, Australia, by CJH Studio
In this penthouse on Australia's Gold Coast, beautifully curved shapes are used to add interest to the almost entirely white interior.
Beige tones and black details were added to contrast against the white and to create a luxurious atmosphere by using a restrained colour palette. Flos' adjustable 265 Wall Lamp hangs above a Macbeth side table in black hemlock wood.
Find out more about Penthouse M ›
Urgell Apartment, Spain, by Bach Arquitectes
Bach Arquitectes' interior design for the Urgell Apartment in Barcelona features salvaged tiles, which add a decorative touch to this living room with its white walls and white sofas.
An extensive book collection and a selection of plants create a warm, welcoming feel, while a contrasting black dining chair from Safeveih adds a darker note to the interiors.

House on Drolet Street, Canada, by Dominique Jacquet and Anne Sophie Goneau
It doesn't get simpler than this interior in House on Drolet Street: white walls, white floors, and mostly white furniture, as well as a Catifa Lounge Chair in grey from Arper.
An LP-player is the reason for the only splash of colour in the room, a collection of vinyl records that sit next to the empty wall. Rather than feeling boring, the sparseness of the decoration allows the listener to relax and focus on the musical experience in this music corner.
Find out more about House on Drolet Street ›
House 23, US, by Vondalwig Architecture
The exterior of House 23 in New York is clad in blackened wood, in sharp contrast to its white interior. In the sitting room, a pale-pink daybed stands out against the white walls, and a Kalon Stump Wood stool matches the wooden floor.
The yellow Nordic Round Knot Stool from Homary is perfectly juxtaposed against the sofa. The two colours are almost opposite each other on the colour wheel, making them a good match according to colour theory.

116 Sorauren and 118 Sorauren, Canada, by Ancerl Studio
Ancerl Studio designed this pair of Toronto houses to look like a single building. Inside, a variety of finishes – including steel, reclaimed wood and weathered bricks – give the white-painted interiors a more organic touch.
A deep sofa and comfortable chairs in beige and off-white pick up the white of the walls and ceiling.
Find out more about 116 Sorauren and 118 Sorauren ›
House and the River, Lithuania, by After Party
This characterful creek-side home in Lithuania features a pink kitchen, but most of its interiors are soothing white. In the living space, an off-white daybed sits next to a cosy cream rug.
While the floors and walls are white, the space surrounding the fireplace, which sits on a boulder, has been painted gold to create an eye-catching detail.
Find out more about House and the River ›
Akari House, Spain, by Mas-aqui
Named after the Japanese term for light, the bright Akari House lives up to its name. In the open-plan kitchen and living room, a low off-white sofa sits against one wall, with a clear view of two flower paintings on a floating wood shelf on the opposite side.
A white ceiling fan and white tiles completes the pale interior, which also features built-in wooden furniture and a wood floor.
Find out more about Akari House ›
White Dormitory, Japan, by Case-Real
White Dormitory provides accommodation for three restaurant workers on Teshima Island, Japan. Its three bedrooms all have their own kitchen area and feature white-washed wood floors.
Pale wood benches with sage-green pillows and brown ceiling beams soften the room and give it a more rustic feel.
Find out more about White Dormitory ›
Soho Loft, US, by Julian King
A sculptural white wall adds a bit of drama to the clean, simple interior of this Soho loft designed by Julian King.
A tall bookshelf with a rolling ladder provides the only colour in the room, which also has a dining area with a live-edge walnut table and wooden chairs.

Lina’s Legacy
Tumblr media
Lina’s granddaughters: Kathleen, Natalie, Michelle, Tonya, Dominique, 2018.
“The Basque Girls”
Written by Michelle
One hundred and two years ago, Lina  Bidegain stepped off a Great Northern Train onto the Glasgow, Montana depot platform, a newly arrived Basque immigrant from the French Pyrenees. Lina was met at the station by her employer, John Etchart, and they traveled thirty-five miles by horse and wagon on primitive roads across sprawling prairie wilderness to the Stone House Ranch. There she worked side-by side with his wife, Catherine, cooking for Basque sheep herders and helping care for the Etchart’s small children, Ferne and Gene.
These experiences became wonderful stories told to her grandchildren. We could practically feel the icy air, see the sheep on the hillside, and smell her soup cooking.
In June 2018, we, Lina’s five American granddaughters, also made a train journey, traveling by Amtrak from Whitefish to Glasgow, stepping out into her footsteps at the very same depot. We met the Etchart family, decendents of John and Catherine, and traveled across rangeland, coolies and gulches in pickup trucks to visit the Stone House.
Rita Etchart Gallagher refers to us as the Basque Girls; it is a name we embrace.
Tumblr media
Glasgow From the station, we walked two-blocks to our hotel in the heart of downtown Glasgow. The Rundle Suites building was constructed in 1915, the year before Lina arrived. It is currently being renovated by Jon and Rebecca Johnston and their family into a modern boutique hotel.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Glasgow is today, as it was in Lina‘s time, a small town. Established in 1887 to support the railroad industry and the ranching business, its current population is about 3,500. On the main street you will find wonderful small businesses: The Loaded Toad Coffee, Western Drug, Wheatgrass Arts and Gallery, Soma-Dis Deli.  And just a few blocks away, the Busted Knuckle Brewery.
The Etchart family soon arrived to meet us. Paul and Rita, grandchildren of John and Catherine, hosted a pizza dinner in Paul’s home. We had the opportunity to meet other  Etchart family members: Paul & Barbara, Rita and Mitch Gallagher, Matt Page and Emma, his father Steve Page.  We also met Bengochea family members: Marlene Bengochea, her daughter Denise Bengochea Winchester, her son Jon and his wife Erika. The Bengocheas, like the Bidegains, worked on the Stone House Ranch.
The star of the gathering, however, was Mitch Etchart, ninety-six years old.
Mitch Etchart is the last living child of John and Catherine, younger brother to Ferne and Gene whom our grandmother cared for.  He was born in Glasgow in 1920 not long after she returned to the Pyrenees. Mitch is the family patriarch and a good story teller with a wonderful sense of humor.
Tumblr media
Bottom row: Mitch, Dominique, Natalie, Kathleen, Natalie, Erika, Barbara. Top row; Denise, Rita, Michelle, Tonya.
Across the Prairie
The following morning, we loaded into two pickup trucks. Our guides: Paul Etchart and 16 -year old Emma Page in one truck, Matt Page and Rita in the second. Matt is the great grandson of John Etchart and currently works on the ranch. Denise Bengochea Winchester came along as well.
The Stone House is located at the head of Willow Creek. This South Ranch was John Etchart’s first land holding, established in 1911.  The family lived on the property and worked the ranch until the 1920′s when they moved to Tampico. The South Ranch and Tampico River Ranch were leased to Page-Whitham Land and Cattle in 1983. It was a ten year lease with purchase in 1993. Steve Page is married to Michele, an Etchart granddaughter.
We headed out a gravel road, winding through a labyrinth of rolling grassland dotted with sage and yucca, furrowed coulees, pools of water, rounded hilltops and stands of cottonwoods. In the distance, layers of mountains: the far-off shadowy peaks of the Little Rockies, the distant deep brown of the Larb Hills, and the closer green rise of Square Creek.  We saw herds of antelopes and clusters of cattle. On hill tops stood piles of flat stones called Sheep Herder Monuments that served as guide posts in the days before GPS.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
After an hour of driving we came over a rise and, in the distance, against a backdrop of cottonwoods along the Willow Creek, the Stone House and barn sat in a small valley of sloping hills.
Tumblr media
The Stone House The pickup trucks wound down the dirt road, through the corral gate, past the barn, and parked on the hill next to the house.
In 1914, when the Etcharts decided to make Montana their permanent home, John commissioned the building of a new house for his bride. The house and barn would be built of stone in a style reminiscent of the Basque bassaris (farms) in the French Pyrenees. Two German stonemasons cut sandrock from the surrounding hillsides and hauled it by wagon to the ranch. The hip roof was made of cedar shingles. Wooden porches were added to shield the front and back entrances from the cold. In a landscape of log cabins, sod houses and wooden barns, the Etchart ranch was uniquely beautiful.
Tumblr media
Lina and Catherine would have pumped water from a well built over a natural spring located in the cottonwood grove on the banks of Willow Creek. The ranch residents used an outhouse and maintained a stack of fire wood for the kitchen range. Catherine would have planted a garden near the house to grow vegetables: tomatoes, onions, beans, potatoes…  Nearby outbuildings may have housed chicken coops and a pig sty.
Today the house has running water from tanks, propane for cooking and heating, electricity from a generator and a modern composition shingle roof. Cowboys working the Page-Whitham range use the building as a bunk house.
Tumblr media
We entered through the small back porch.  On the first floor, a long kitchen runs the length of one side of the house.
In Lina’s day, a wood burning cast iron stove and a long table with seating for sheep herders would have filled the space. Cooking equipment would have been stored on open shelving or hung from hooks.
A narrow staircase leads down to the basement, stone walls and a dirt floor. Here they would have stored baskets of potato and onions, bags of flour and oats, sides of cured pork.
Tumblr media
Two bedrooms take up the other side of the first floor, a larger front bedroom for John and Catherine, a second smaller room in the back corner for Lina. They might have been furnished with wrought iron bedsteads, wash stands, dressers or chests for storage, lanterns, quilts and a baby cradle.
Today, the larger bedroom has a closet and the smaller room has been converted to a bathroom with a toilet and shower.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Windows on all sides of the house provide natural light and views of the ranch and surrounding hillsides.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
View from Lina’s bedroom
Wooden stairs lead up to two large rooms built under the roof slope. Here the Basque herders bunked during the seasons when they were not trailing sheep on the hillsides. As many as 8 to 10 herders could have worked on the ranch, helping with breeding, lambing, docking, and sheering.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
They would have slept on cots and owned a minimum of personal items. In their free time, perhaps they smoked cigarettes and played the card game Mus or challenged each other to contests of strength throwing iron bars or sacks of grain.
The Barn It is a short walk out the front porch, down the hill, past the coulee pond, to the barn gate.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The barn has stone walls and an upper story of wood. It is surrounded by wooden corral fencing.
Tumblr media
In those early ranch days, the barn would have housed horses needed for transportation and ranch work.  Catherine also kept cows for milk, cream and cheese, just as her family had done in Les Aldudes. It stored their buggy and wagon, as well as farm tools: axes, saws and hammers, and milk cans
Tumblr media
Today the barn has an almost museum feel, the empty stalls house an old sheep herders wagon, a collection of old horse shoes, ropes, saddles and bridles.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
We wandered the ranch buildings, strolled the corral and coulee pond, wondered where the well and garden may have been. Our eyes surveyed the cottonwood trees and hillsides.  We pictured flocks of grazing sheep watched over by Basque herders, Lina’s brother Antonio among them.
Tumblr media
Rita’s picture of the Stone House gang.
We tried to imagine Lina and Catherine, two beautiful, young Basque women in long skirts and button-up boots, going about their busy day cooking, gardening washing clothes, Ferne and Gene playing nearby.
Their footprints were almost visible.
Tumblr media
A last view of the Stone House ranch.
Many thanks to the generosity of the Etchart family for making this visit to the Stone House possible. Thanks to Paul Etchart for his wealth of information and to Rita, a perfect hostess. Thanks to Denise for sharing her own family history of living in the Stone House. Thanks also to Matt, an excellent guide, who shared childhood memories of the ranch.  And to Emma, our favorite cowgirl!

A Taste of Pebble Beach Food and Wine 2019
Join me for highlights of the 12th Annual Pebble Beach Food and Wine and get a taste of the 2019 PBFW Lexus Grand Tasting!
When the wisteria is in full bloom and the hills are a brilliant green, and the rain seems to have finally taken a well-deserved break, there is a hubbub of delicious activity in a little corner of Northern California.
Pebble Beach is already known for its gorgeous coastline, 17-mile drive, and a golfer’s heaven, but for me, springtime in Pebble Beach is all about Pebble Beach Food and Wine. This year marks PBFW’s 12th year and my 5th of tasting and sipping from some of the culinary world’s greatest talents.
I was happy to be a guest of Balsamic Vinegar of Modena at the Saturday Lexus Grand Tasting. Imagine, more than 300 wines and 25 celebrity chefs serving up delicious, inventive bites to over 2000 guests — it’s always so much fun! I was especially pleased that my friends from Balsamic Vinegar of Modena were there, sharing tastes of their exquisite liquid gold. If you’ve ever had authentic Balsamic Vinegar of Modena (look for the seal on your bottle), then you know how this ingredient is so versatile, from adding flavor to simple salads to balancing sweet desserts!
Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Each year, I come away with some memorable flavors that leave a long lasting impression on my palette. This year was no different, and I was especially glad to see my beloved Filipino flavors highlighted at the tasting! Some of my favorite tastes and moments of Pebble Beach Beach Food & Wine 2019 include:
Uni Palabok from Chef Anna Marie Bayonito of Sticks, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Tablas Creek Wines, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Raspberry Pavlova from Chef Dominique Ansel of 189 by Dominique Ansel, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Puffed Pasta “Nachos” from Chef Joe Sasto, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Petite Pois a la Francaise from Chef Vincent Lesage, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Churros from Chef Antonia Lofaso of DAMA Fashion District, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Smoked Ocean Trout from Chef Antonia Lofaso of DAMA Fashion District, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Pineapple Upside Down Cake from Chef Michelle Lee Bayonito of IC The Clement Monterey, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
Potato Gnocchi from Chef Dominique Ansel of 189 by Dominique Ansel, PBFW Grand Tasting, 2019.
My sincere thanks to Balsamic Vinegar of Modena for inviting me to join them for this year’s Grand Tasting. I hope you enjoyed tasting along with me at Pebble Beach Beach Food & Wine 2019! Until next year!
IF YOU ENJOYED THIS TASTING OF PEBBLE BEACH FOOD & WINE 2019, BE SURE TO VISIT PREVIOUS YEARS!

Explore the trendy neighborhood’s range of eclectic cafes, restaurants, vintage stores and vibrant arts district.
Guest review: “My wife and I stayed here for our 5th anniversary weekend. The pictures of the decor are what initially caught our attention. When we checked in, the place looked better than the pictures online, and we couldn’t stop talking about how fun it would be to have a studio decorated just like it. The location is amazing. We had never been to Asheville before, but this spot made it super easy to get to anything fun in town. It is near some amazing shops and restaurants and is a short drive from downtown. Needless to say, my wife and I were extremely satisfied with our weekend.” – Andrew
