I’m makin breakfast rn and I figured I’d post the recipe while they’re in the oven!
Breakfast Stuffed Croissants!!
These r honestly really fucking good- I think my mom found the recipe on Facebook somewhere years ago, but I’ll be sharing how we make em! They’re very flexible though, you can stuff them with pretty much anything!
Ingredients:
Prepackaged croissant dough (like pillsbury but off brand works just as well)
Some sort of filling: what we do is
A fistful or two of shredded cheese (usually cheddar)
A bit of crumbled sausage (we use precooked Jimmy dean turkey sausage, but bacon bits would slap, or chorizo, or honestly whatever you’ve got)
And that’s all she wrote!
Step 1: roll out the dough into triangles

2: Add filling in the center of the wide end

3: pinch together the corners on the short end to keep the filling from spilling out

4. Roll up like a normal croissant, pinching closed any seam that the cheese could leak out

5. Bake according to package instructions, or until golden brown!

You can really stuff these with anything! I bet itd be good with scrambled eggs or bacon, or chocolate chips for a budget pain au chocolate!

I formally recommend making slow-cooked tacos, some chorizo fino+beef cooked on medium-highheat with tons of paprika+cayenne pepper+cumin+minced garlic and no water only hot sauce or jars of salsa for liquid content (though one half-cup of a alcohol like whiskey or rum for deglazing is supreme), I usually add a single dark chocolate bar to bring the flavors out more but outright cocoa works too if done is small amounts.
Obviously adjust to your spice tolerance, but I highly suggest taco-meat this way in a dutch oven, add whatever rice/vegetables/beans/additives you like to it halfway through to let them soak in the flavors.
If tacos aren't what you're in the mood for then a simple pull-apart bread recipe might be better. Can make it cheesy, garlicy, or even stuffed with already cooked meats for pull-apart meat-buns.
Sorry for the text-wall I am fond of cooking although not a chef nor cook.

Recipe :: Beef Mince, Spring Onion, Onion, Garlic, Smoked Paprika, Jamaican seasoning & lemon juice.
I start w/ the garlic and spring onions in a low heat saucepan w/ some oil. When it starts bubbling, add in white onion, diced / sliced, however u wants. Get those brown, then add in your mince, can pre-season w/ the Jamaican seasoning / salt / pepper, or add it in the saucepan to brown with the mince.
Cook it hella through - stir and season more to taste.
I added chorizo, so I didn't need to add in any salt, cause that badboi is a salt god for me, so can skip adding chorizo slices / tears offs and instead season w/ salt.
Cooking it out and make sure it's all to flavour. I added milk for creaminess. -chefkiss- - cook it out whilst u set up your peppers, half and remove all innards then stuff with a spoonful of the mince and pop in the oven for 10-20 mins, 30-45 if they are big peppers. I like crunch in my peppers so mine were just 15 mins or so.
