Sawyer grins as he watches the horses eat he offered his own horse a carrot and she whinnies as she plucks it from his hand “Good girl Dolly” He pets his horse

“Sawyer”

He turned around and saw his pregnant wife Sarah behind him “Honey what are you doing out of bed you need rest”

“I’m fine Sawyer I just wanted to see you”

“I’m glad you did” He wraps his arms around her “But still your health sweetie”

“I feel fine today and besides walking is good”

“Well if you say so I trust you”

“Thanks Sawyer now we can” A stream of liquid goes down her leg “Oh Sawyer I think my water just broke”

Sawyer’s eyes go wide “What?!” He scoops her into his arms “Come on we gotta get to the doctor!” He carries her to his truck then tries to start it but the engine sputters and smoke billow’s out of it “Damn! Of all the times to blow a gasket!”

“What are we gonna do Sawyer the contractions will start”

Sawyer pauses then smirks “Wait here” He gets out the truck then returns a few minutes later on horse back “Let’s go Sarah”

“We’re riding on Dolly? Can she carry us both especially with my stomach?”

“She can Dolly is strong enough to do it”

“I don’t know Sawyer we need to get to the doctor’s quickly and how you gonna make sure I don’t fall off”

“Don’t you trust me Sarah?”

“I do but I’m looking at it rationally”

Sawyer rests his forehead against hers “I’m not gonna let you down Sarah I wouldn’t suggest this if I didn’t believe in Dolley and we don’t really have a choice we gotta get you to the doctor unless you wanna have the baby here on the ground”

Sarah looks around then nods “Ok Sawyer”

Sawyer grins then he puts her on the horse then rides as quickly as he can to the doctor office”

Sarah feels the contractions begin to start she grits her teeth then waits till the pain passes

After what feels like hours they finally reach the town’s clinic Sawyer scoops her up and carries her inside “See I told you we’ll get there”

“I’m glad Sawyer but the contractions have started”

“Right can we get a room my wife is about to give birth”

A nurse pulls out a wheelchair and Sawyer sits her down. They roll her into the delivery room. As she was prepped for delivery Sarah turned to Sawyer “Hold my hand”

Sawyer grips her hand “Squeeze the life out of it”

The doctor walks in “Ok Mrs. Oakley you ready?”

Sarah bites her lip then nods “Yes I am”

After pushing the hospital room is filled with the sounds of a baby crying Sarah let’s out tears of joy as she holds her daughter

Sawyer grins “Hi there cutie I’m your daddy” He kisses her forehead “She’s beautiful Sarah she has my face”

Sarah raises an eyebrow “Your face? This is my face”

Sawyer chuckles “Come on you can’t deny she looks like me”

Sarah giggles “Maybe around the eyes”

Sawyer laughs then smiles “What shall we name her?”

Sarah smirks “Well I was gonna name her Sawyer Jr. cause I thought she was gonna be a boy”

“Oh hell no if we have any boys down the line you better not name them that”

Sarah giggles then smiles “I’ve always loved the name Clemintine rhymes with Brooklynne”

Sawyer chuckles then grins “I love it welcome to the world little Clemintine” He kisses her softly “I love you”

“I love you too”

It really hadn’t been something that you would normally wear but given you’d had to go undercover to a nightclub to find your suspect and drag him out you guess you had no choice but to wear the white batwing bodycon dress. Now back at the office and in your own clothes ready to write up your report your shocked at the words that leave your work partners lips

“Ya know that outfit looked really good on ya Y/N” he says, biting his lip subtly and you blush flustered. You’d had a crush on your partner for the last two years so hearing him say that was definitely not making this easier. So you decided to brush it off

“Oh… Th-thank you haha” you say, turning back to your computer. When you look up again you're shocked to see Chris standing right in front of your desk.

“Ah’d like ta take ya out on a date sometime Y/N, please?” he asks and you gasp

“I-uh, yes” you reply.

Kat’s Guide to Choices: Fave Books and LIs

Hey everyone! For those of you who don’t know me, my name is Kat, and I’ve been playing Choices since ~2016. Being on the app for so long has given me a lot of time to read a lot of series, and of course, I’ve accumulated a lot of favourites from among them. Some of those favourites are unsurprising, because they’re widely recognised as well-written or they’re similar to ‘real-life’ books that I enjoy: think Blades of Light & Shadow, Most Wanted, Mother of the Year. Others are surprising, even to me, because at first glance they seem like shallow romances but if you play them just right then they go straight for your heart: think Baby Bump (I dare you to play it romancing Myra Dixon), Big Sky Country (I dare you to play it as an MLM romance), The Cursed Heart (it doesn’t even matter how you play that one, I think it’s the most underrated series Choices has ever had). It’s gotten to the point where I think it’d be cool to have this pinned post of all the series that stand out to me on the app, plus all the LIs that made them feel special. I’m not the type of person who likes picking between favourites, so it’s not going to be a ranked list, or a list with a limited number of slots – I’ve just done it alphabetically, and I’ll keep adding to it as I go. I hope that it helps people celebrate their own favourites, and maybe even inspires people to read something new 😊

Last month, an anon asked me about a potential Choices sprite for Max Valentine. Since Max is an OC, I had to really thinking about it. We batted around some options and I promised the anon a manip if I found the right sprite.

BSC's Sawyer Oakley is the only male sprite I found with blond hair and green-ish eyes. So I'm trying this out for size. Might try different outfits for Sienna one day, but for now I'm sticking with the default.

Choices

Joel: I still haven't come up with a surname but I'm leaning towards McLean, Whitley, Rhodes, and/or Parrish. He is the identical twin brother of Henry from Open Heart: Third Year and lives in Northbridge. I wrote two fanfics where he appears and I was working on a third.

Pari Varma: She is Jackie's cousin who lives in Northbridge and is a fan of Nick Bastion's (Crimes of Passion) crime novels. She works in Human Resources for KryTek Enterprises which is the company from Open Heart: Third Year. I did write a fanfic where she appears but haven't posted it yet.

Shaun Reinhardt: He is someone who I came up with but I'm not sure what to do. He is Travis Perry's twin brother and works as a US Marshal with Marshal Keane from Witness. I was thinking he shows up at Edenbrook and causes Casey to have a panic attack.

Meredith Stanton: She is Duke Oakley's biological mother. I came up with my own version of Duke since I was irritated with what Pixelberry did to him. Meredith and Cliff met the same way the main character met Sawyer and after a brief fling, Meredith found out she was pregnant. Meredith comes from a wealthy Massachusetts family and when her father found out about the child he was furious. So Meredith went back to Sweetridge and left Duke with Cliff, now married to Adelaide, and fled back to Massachusetts. She moved on with her life, went to college, and married. She has a daughter who is a successful shoe designer. After Cliff's death, she reached out to Duke and invites him to her home to make up for the lost time.

Other Games

Daniella Hopkins: She exists in the Merge Mansion universe. She and Maddie attended the same college and went their separate ways after graduation. They stayed in touch through social media, phone calls, and texting. Occasionally she visits the Boulton estate to check on Maddie and see the progress she has made with renovations. When she isn't hanging out with Maddie, she is hitting the town with Jackie (a character from an early December event). A part of me has wanted to write a fanfic where she hooks up with Roddy.

Sawyer leans against the fence as he watches the sunset he pulls out his phone and smiles as he sees a picture of him and his wife Gabrielle. He sighs and he recalls the first day he saw her…

Sawyer sits on his horse and looks around at the field he nods as he pats his horse “Looks good I think we can” He pauses as he notices someone standing by their car and sees smoke coming out the engine “Hm looks like someone’s having car trouble I’ll go see if I can help them” He rides up to the person and he stops for a moment as he takes a good look at her his lips part as he drinks her in “My God she’s so beautiful” He grins “Well looks like it’s Sawyer to the rescue” He kicks his legs and spurs his horse forward

Sawyer grins as he scrolls through the pictures since that day they’ve never been apart. Ever since she helped them save the ranch they’ve been closer than ever. Sawyer knew in heart that this was the girl he wanted to spend the rest of his life with. He remembers the day he proposed to her…

“We’re almost there” Sawyer covered her eyes as they walked through the field

“Sawyer where are you taking me hope I’m not stepping in anything”

Sawyer chuckles “No I’m looking out for you don’t worry nothing disgusting yet” They keep walking for a while till he stops “We’re here”

He removes his hands and Gabrielle grins at the sight of the beautiful starry sky “Wow Sawyer this is amazing”

“I’m glad you love it”

“Sawyer look a shooting star make a wish”

“Don’t need to”

“Why not?”

“Because only you can make my wish come true”

“Sawyer what do you” Gabrielle gasps as she sees him down on one knee

“Gab from the first”

“Yes!”

Sawyer laughs “You didn’t even let me finish come on Gab I spent hours rehearsing this”

Gabrielle giggles “I’m sorry continue”

“From the first time I saw you I knew you were the one for me you were so beautiful that day and ever since I’ve never wanted to leave you I love you with everything within me so will you marry me?”

“Yes I will Sawyer”

Sawyer grins as he slips the ring on her finger he stands and pulls her closer “See you made my wish come true no need for stars”

Gab giggles “I love you Sawyer”

“I love you too forever and always

Sawyer sighs “God I love that girl I can’t wait till” He hears a car pull up into the driveway and he immediately runs to the house and sees Gab come out of the car

“Gab!” Sawyer lifts her up and spins her around

She laughs “Sawyer put me down!”

He sets her down and kisses her deeply “I missed you baby”

“I missed you too”

“How was your parents?”

“Great they missed me as I much as I did we spent as much time as we could went everywhere”

“I can’t wait to hear all about it and pictures baby”

“Of course but first I have something to tell you” She hands him a baby onesie that says See you in May daddy

Sawyer’s eyes widen “You’re pregnant?”

“Yes I am found out yesterday in”

She’s cut off by Sawyer kisses her deeply “Oh God this is the best news I’ve heard all day I love you Gabby”

“I love you too Sawyer”

Sawyer knees down “I love you too little boy or girl I can’t wait to meet you” He kisses her stomach then stands “Me and my beautiful wife and our baby sounds so amazing” He kisses her cheek

The smell of freshly baked cookies and goodies were all Sawyer could smell as he walked through the house. It had been a crazy first term with her own class and it was almost Christmas holidays. So the teacher made sure she had a treat for the kids on the last day. Sawyer heard the delightful voice of Leona Lewis singing Christmas songs as he approached his wife, she was in a world of her own as she pulled a batch of pastries out the oven. He daren’t interrupt her.

The smile on her face was infectious, her kiddos had been such a great group of kids to kickstart her first year as a teacher to. They had been so responsive to her and they were just as excited about being at school as she was. It must be the reward systems she had come up with and her constant positivity even when she wasn’t exactly feeling it herself.

“How much have you made?” Sawyer pulled her out her little trance she had gotten into, she hadn’t even realised he had walked through the house but she turned to him.

“I made some gluten-free and normal biscuits for them to decorate tomorrow as well as some gluten-free brownies and some cake, and also some little sausage rolls, for our Christmas party” She smiled and he smiled at her in awe. She looked as if she had been on her feet for so long but she cared about the kids having a wonderful last day of school before Christmas.

“You are just so extra” He chuckled. This was not a opinion he had of her before but now he saw her as a teacher, this was what he thought to it. But, the fact she clearly loved her kids, and it was clear as day they loved her.

“My kids love it” She defended herself and he kissed her forehead, she was so amazing and he loved her so much. She started to put some biscuits away in the biscuit tin waiting and he helped her, she looked at him thankfully. She had been in such a busy state trying to get everything done, even having dinner on the go.

“I know women are multi-tankers but you are on another level” Sawyer chuckled as she checked on the chicken and sauce she had made.

“I made spicy chicken in a spicy tomato sauce, i thought we could have pasts with it, I have the garlic bread ready to go in the oven” She explained and his heart just exploded. How perfect his wife was, it was just one of those things he had to constantly pinch himself about.

“Does anything else need putting in the oven?” He asks and she looked around, chewing on her lip.

“No, ive finished the baking, I just need to make the kids gift bags to take home, I need arrange all those things but I‘ll do that after dinner” She explained and Sawyer smiled.

“You are just amazing, Mrs Oakley” He commented, wrapping his arms around her from behind and she sighed contently, feeling warmth from his embrace and quite frankly, just his presence made her feel warm and safe. The husband and wife just took a moment to be in each other’s arms before Charity put some pasta on.

“I am just me” She whispered honestly, she was someone who didn’t take compliments too well, she just hated it when people complimented her, no matter who the person was.

“You are still amazing” He commented kissing her softly on the side of her neck.

It was some time later, and Charity had just dished up the food, and the food, goodness it smelt amazing. She had set the table and it was a perfect husband and wife dinner setting. She even lit some candles just to be a bit extra as she knew he loved it.

“Sawyer, dinners ready” She called as she piled the tubs with the goodies for her class, walking to the side and grabbing a couple of glasses and she poured them both a drink, him one of his ginger ales and herself some lemonade as he walks through, taking a long sniff and the scents of the fresh food for dinner fill his nostrils.

“It smells amazing” He comments as he takes a seat and she brings the drinks over, and smiles.

“I put some sour cream as a little garnish incase it is too spicy” she smiles and he chuckled, so extra. “I’m deadly serious, I think i put too much Cajun spice on the chicken” she gave him a serious look.

“I’m sure it will be beautiful” He assured her and took a mouthful and moaned in pleasure, whatever spices she put in the chicken and sauce worked amazingly, it was beautiful.

“Its spicy but not too much” he observed and she ate some and she nodded slowly.

“I thought I just put too much spice in it but I’m glad I didn’t” she chuckled and he just gazed at her for a long moment, just taking in the fact that this beautiful, extra, woman was really his wife.

Charity had noticed he had been staring at her and she raised an eyebrow at him. “Everything ok?” She asked, flicking her hair behind her as she chewed her lip, before grabbing her fork and she got some more chicken on her fork.

“I just love you” he answered and she smiled at him with eyes full of affection.

“Not as much as I love you” she responded and the smile on his face was massive, her telling him she loved him never grew old. The husband and wife continued to eat, enjoying their little moment together where they could just focus on one another.
