You know, I'm replaying Big Sky Country and some of the things that Sawyer says about his childhood are low-key (very high-key) concerning. His father buzzed all his hair off because he dyed it blue, his mother made him walk back to his house when he was veeeeery young while everybody else was in the car because of a fight between brothers, and uh, well, I'm sure something else will come up in future chapters.

Honestly, I'm starting to wonder if another reason Duke left is because maybe he thought that they would have been "strict" (iykyk) with his daughter too.

I'm replaying with a m!MC and Sawyer doesn't even try to hide the fact that he's flirting. PB would probably never go for that route, and there is even a complete sequel now, but mh I do pity this sweet cowboy a bit by thinking of his hypothetical coming out.

Last month, an anon asked me about a potential Choices sprite for Max Valentine. Since Max is an OC, I had to really thinking about it. We batted around some options and I promised the anon a manip if I found the right sprite.

BSC's Sawyer Oakley is the only male sprite I found with blond hair and green-ish eyes. So I'm trying this out for size. Might try different outfits for Sienna one day, but for now I'm sticking with the default.

Ok this is going to sound silly but, I like characters who had worn cowboy hats. Is it possible for you to do the following: Matt Rodriguez from RCD, Sawyer Oakley from BSC, Caucasian Liam, Drake, Maxwell from TRR and Caucasian Male Kit for Untameable in not only their underwear, but also wearing their Stetsons as well? Reason is because how they do Rodeo here down in Texas in different cities during February and March.

Other than the ones you mentioned, I think Perfect Match, Big Sky Country, Nightbound, and Sunkissed would’ve been single LI as well. It’s kind of crazy that PM had multiple LIs considering we took a whole quiz to determine who our perfect match was supposed to be. But I’m so glad it came out before their single LI madness era because we would’ve never gotten Damien otherwise.

I feel like NB is a given, given their whole “His to protect” rebranding thing they did because the book was flopping. It would’ve been a very different story with more focus on the bodyguard romance aspect with Nik.

And then for BSC and SK, I feel like they basically would’ve just combined all of the LIs into 1 - made Sawyer more distant at first (like Dallas) and Nate into a jack of all trades as a woodworking lifeguard who aspires to be a marine biologist lmao. Sawyer was obviously the main LI anyway. And I hate to say it, but the girls were pretty irrelevant to the plot in book 1 at least, which is why I don’t think Sawyer would’ve gotten any of their character traits. And then of course white Nate would’ve been kept on the cover of SK and mainly used to promote the book, but they’d have other face options to choose from in game.

I can’t think of many other single LI books that would’ve been multiple LI ones in the past. But I do think Hot Shot might’ve been one of them. Casey probably still would’ve been the main LI, but we would’ve had the option to date other people on the team and maybe our cameraman or another reporter as well

What are some Choices books that you feel if they came out today, they’d probably be single LI books? Because I've given it some thought and I'd say some of them might have been:

The Royal Romance: Would have absolutely been a Liam-only book (I’ve talked about this a bunch in the past), so you’d end up marrying the heir to the throne, Liam/Lia instead, and honestly it would’ve probably worked out better for the writers in the long run if they were only going for a specific narrative instead of trying to force the one-arc-fits-all thing most players have complained about in the series at some point.

Ride-or-Die: Not only is MC’s attraction to Logan something that sets off the story, but I also can’t imagine Colt or Mona being love interests following how modern books are. Don’t know what f!Logan would be called, though.

Save the Date: I mentioned this once before, but I think it would’ve been a Justin book which would’ve leaned harder into a “forbidden romance”, but I imagine this book having come out in their affairs era because it would have been the epitome of the stuff PB loved back then: an LI who’s MC’s “boss” and also I maintain that they would’ve made Justin/Justine the one having the wedding, and of course you’d end up breaking them and their fiancée up, so there’s that other component PB was obsessed with. But since that wave of books seems to have ended (abated?), then the engagement/fiancée arc possibly wouldn’t be a thing today, but there’s every chance they’d still throw in a gf to be MC’s rival as a subplot.

I also wonder if they’d have made Open Heart a single LI book (they practically did anyway) but the thing about OH is that it’s not mandatorily a romance book, so for that they’d have had to make the romance a main part of the story.

But at the same time! Are there any recent(ish) Choices books that you feel would have been multiple LI books in the past? Because I’ve got thoughts about that, too, but the only thing I've got so far is:

Crimes of Passion: Ruby and Luke would’ve absolutely been romanceable, and they’d have been a bigger part of the story for it, too. The MC x Trystan romance doesn’t really play a crucial role until b2 anyway, and everything that happened in b1 could’ve been accomplished with them as good friends as well. Trystan would’ve still been the main LI, just not the only one.

And then sometimes I've wondered if TCH (b1 at least, if they hadn't planned it as a series) would have let you choose whether you ended up with Kieran or a Sun Court LI (potentially Radiance if they weren't a traitor and dead—moreso because of the dead part because even as a traitor they could've had the same b2 arc they gave Aerin in Blades 2, since Radiance is already a copy of b1 Aerin), but idk, probably not, since the series hinges so much on Kieran being in love with MC and them having that Beauty and the Beast thing going on.

The smell of freshly baked cookies and goodies were all Sawyer could smell as he walked through the house. It had been a crazy first term with her own class and it was almost Christmas holidays. So the teacher made sure she had a treat for the kids on the last day. Sawyer heard the delightful voice of Leona Lewis singing Christmas songs as he approached his wife, she was in a world of her own as she pulled a batch of pastries out the oven. He daren’t interrupt her.

The smile on her face was infectious, her kiddos had been such a great group of kids to kickstart her first year as a teacher to. They had been so responsive to her and they were just as excited about being at school as she was. It must be the reward systems she had come up with and her constant positivity even when she wasn’t exactly feeling it herself.

“How much have you made?” Sawyer pulled her out her little trance she had gotten into, she hadn’t even realised he had walked through the house but she turned to him.

“I made some gluten-free and normal biscuits for them to decorate tomorrow as well as some gluten-free brownies and some cake, and also some little sausage rolls, for our Christmas party” She smiled and he smiled at her in awe. She looked as if she had been on her feet for so long but she cared about the kids having a wonderful last day of school before Christmas.

“You are just so extra” He chuckled. This was not a opinion he had of her before but now he saw her as a teacher, this was what he thought to it. But, the fact she clearly loved her kids, and it was clear as day they loved her.

“My kids love it” She defended herself and he kissed her forehead, she was so amazing and he loved her so much. She started to put some biscuits away in the biscuit tin waiting and he helped her, she looked at him thankfully. She had been in such a busy state trying to get everything done, even having dinner on the go.

“I know women are multi-tankers but you are on another level” Sawyer chuckled as she checked on the chicken and sauce she had made.

“I made spicy chicken in a spicy tomato sauce, i thought we could have pasts with it, I have the garlic bread ready to go in the oven” She explained and his heart just exploded. How perfect his wife was, it was just one of those things he had to constantly pinch himself about.

“Does anything else need putting in the oven?” He asks and she looked around, chewing on her lip.

“No, ive finished the baking, I just need to make the kids gift bags to take home, I need arrange all those things but I‘ll do that after dinner” She explained and Sawyer smiled.

“You are just amazing, Mrs Oakley” He commented, wrapping his arms around her from behind and she sighed contently, feeling warmth from his embrace and quite frankly, just his presence made her feel warm and safe. The husband and wife just took a moment to be in each other’s arms before Charity put some pasta on.

“I am just me” She whispered honestly, she was someone who didn’t take compliments too well, she just hated it when people complimented her, no matter who the person was.

“You are still amazing” He commented kissing her softly on the side of her neck.

It was some time later, and Charity had just dished up the food, and the food, goodness it smelt amazing. She had set the table and it was a perfect husband and wife dinner setting. She even lit some candles just to be a bit extra as she knew he loved it.

“Sawyer, dinners ready” She called as she piled the tubs with the goodies for her class, walking to the side and grabbing a couple of glasses and she poured them both a drink, him one of his ginger ales and herself some lemonade as he walks through, taking a long sniff and the scents of the fresh food for dinner fill his nostrils.

“It smells amazing” He comments as he takes a seat and she brings the drinks over, and smiles.

“I put some sour cream as a little garnish incase it is too spicy” she smiles and he chuckled, so extra. “I’m deadly serious, I think i put too much Cajun spice on the chicken” she gave him a serious look.

“I’m sure it will be beautiful” He assured her and took a mouthful and moaned in pleasure, whatever spices she put in the chicken and sauce worked amazingly, it was beautiful.

“Its spicy but not too much” he observed and she ate some and she nodded slowly.

“I thought I just put too much spice in it but I’m glad I didn’t” she chuckled and he just gazed at her for a long moment, just taking in the fact that this beautiful, extra, woman was really his wife.

Charity had noticed he had been staring at her and she raised an eyebrow at him. “Everything ok?” She asked, flicking her hair behind her as she chewed her lip, before grabbing her fork and she got some more chicken on her fork.

“I just love you” he answered and she smiled at him with eyes full of affection.

“Not as much as I love you” she responded and the smile on his face was massive, her telling him she loved him never grew old. The husband and wife continued to eat, enjoying their little moment together where they could just focus on one another.
