‘the MC in Ms. Match is truly terrible. Jack/Jess is right, we completely lucked out and we definitely don't deserve to be CEO. I normally hate the way Choices does enemies to lovers, but it worked here because the MC was simply wrong. i wanted to drop out of the competition and help Jess win :(’

Welcome to the twenty-eighth official Cadybear's Reviews VERY Brief Thoughts! Today I'll be talking about Ms. Match, which I have ranked on the "Stone Tier" at 4 stars out of a possible 10. My last and only playthrough of this was during January-May 2022.

Besides the MC and LI’s hatefuck-y dynamic which was fun to watch sometimes, this one was honestly pretty forgettable. It wasn’t outright terrible, but there wasn’t anything special or remarkable about it either.

Probably the highlight of the book was how I gave my MC the last name “Match” for the sole purpose of eventually hearing someone refer to her as “Ms. Match” and say the title of the movie in the movie. And sure enough, I got to see that in around Chapter 11/12. 

Also, very pointlessly genderlocked. The only thing that justifies this genderlock is that the pun in the title would otherwise be lost. Then again, people have suggested “Mx. Match”, so do with that what you will.

i can't believe that the first ever image that surfaced about the movie (I think at the end of 2021!) actually already gave us a hint about how this movie was going to end... I was just so in denial about it that I completely erased those early theories out of my mind. Not to say that I didn't love the movie, I had a blast in the theater, but that ending with everyone learning about and accepting the turtles and them going to school was not for me. Maybe I'll change my mind about it when I see future installments of this new version, but for now I'm being one of those sulking older fans about it.
