This bronze is exceptional in its naturalistic sculptural quality and fully embellished surface that includes fantastic animals, tigers, birds, and a diamond-shaped mark on the ram's forehead. Bronzes comparable in style were excavated in the Yangzi River region and are believed to have been cast in the south. The ram is a stellar example of the region's sophisticated bronze production.”

not only the possibility of sensitivity to wine/etc itself but just. the alcohol fuzziness meaning maybe they let a sneeze creep up on them without noticing, and the lack of inhibitions meaning they let it out without any shame they may usually have..... maybe even being more dramatic than usual, louder, bending at the waist, dazed after.... accepting care they may usually deny because they are drunk and happy and vulnerable

Clingy drunk zhao yuanzhou fic

A/N: Just a short one :)

It's hard to do anything when your left and right arms are the favourite gripping toys for an ape of a demon and a child prodigy who really should stop whining right into your ear about how it's unfair that Zhao Yuanzhou gets the privilege of having your arm and have it slung around his waist.

Xiao Zhuo really does not want to have this talk about the birds and the bees, though judging by the life Bai Jiu has had, he's sure the kid knows more than most his age about the matter.

As is, he resigns himself to blinking pleadingly at a silently chortling Ying Lei who, thankfully, takes pity on him and quickly swoops in to pick the boy off him.

"Let go." He shakes his arm where it is still being latched on to by Zhao Yuanzhou. The demon stinks of wine, though Xiao Zhuo can't say he hates the scent of peaches on his breath when he laughs softly, nuzzling into his cheek.

"Don' wanna..." He sighs. "It's comfortable here."

Switching tactics, Xiao Zhuo shifts to hold him by the waist. "You'd be more comfortable in bed." He coaxes.

"Mm... In our bed? Will you be there?"

The words are a quiet question and even under the fondly amused attentions of their friends, Xiao Zhuo can feel himself being even more enamoured than he already is. Smiling a little, he tilts his head, leaning in. "Mn. So be good for your Xiao Zhuo-daren, go to bed."

Zhao Yuanzhou lifts his face from where it is pressed to Xiao Zhuo's shoulder. "Come with me?"

"Of course."

With a careful sweep, Xiao Zhuo takes him into a carry. Deftly tipping his head in goodbye to their companions and resolutely ignoring how their smiles grow at how he does not scurry away with an armful of a giggling demon.

He's coincidentally, all of a sudden, pretty tired himself too. Nothing wrong with going to bed early.

I'm pretty sure the current Tim hc race is half Korean, but like... I can see Tim being half Singaporean, or Indonesian. It would also be really funny because it would make Damian and Tim look really similar and just imagine a random white lady walking up to the both of them and going "Oh! is this your brother?" and Damian going "No! I wrote a poem for Cold Sands danmei novel years ago, right after I finished the novel because I was so inspired by the story and it made my heart ache. Here is the poem:

Wings clipped by truth The fall swift and harsh Lies unveiled  Fate strung a web of deceit  A trap, snaring the victim This bird, tied down Voice cut-out -silenced Never to sing Never to cry out Never to sing its beautiful melodies once more Never to give sound to its pain The world itself, what a beautiful cage- A big and wide unknown, and sometimes deceitful place Freedom- is only a short illusory image  Unobtainable- A Mirage in the desert when one is dying from thirst Just out of reach, as though grasping at sand as it slips through your fingertips And as the dark begins to unravel Twist and unwind- Mighty is the weight thrust upon the heart, Subduing its pulse, the beating drum- a strangled ba-thump...ba-thump...ba-thump... An anchor drowning the soul, Just as as heavy as one that bears a crown upon their head,  No escape is possible now  As the strings of fate tighten, the birds wings are broken Fragmented and shattered Unable to never fly Never again to soar the skies

Did you ever once hear the Greek tale of a boy, the boy who wanted to fly close to the sun?

His father created wings of made wax for his child and warned him, told him not to fly to high, to not fly to close to the sun.

However, the boy, Icarus, didn't listen to his father's words.

He flew, soaring higher, and higher, as close as he could get to the sun. His wings made of wax were melted away by the suns brilliance and Icarus fell to earth.

To his end.

And the Lotus flower, that blooms at the bottom of a lake, steeped in mud, struggles and craves, longing and yearning for the suns brilliance, but they can never touch the sun.

And a bird, born with wings to fly, can only fly so high, but never crossing that line, that boundary.

And sometimes love is just the same.

Not every story can have a happy ending, no matter the toil, the strife, the pain.

And some times, no my matter how much you love someone, you may forever be enemies, on opposing sides, love hidden deep in your heart, and all you can do, is to stare wistfully at the horizon, yearning until the end.

Cloudy Wine Table of The Spring and Autumn Period

Another attribute of the antique bar: a bronze wine table Jin (禁).

The name of this piece of furniture involves social advertising.  Jin means “forbidden”. The name is aimed at potential consumers, encouraging them to be moderate in drinking.

It was believed that the Shang and Xia dynasties fell into decline due to alcohol abuse. The term itself has been in use since the Zhou Dynasty, when the first Dry Law was proclaimed. Wine was allowed only in rituals, in other cases, drinking it entailed the death penalty. For the same reason, it could be assumed that the table also had a religious purpose.

The wine table belonged to the Grand Chancellor Zi Geng during the reign of King Kang of Chu (楚康王).

It was manufactured with a lost-wax casting, a technology that is more often used in jewelry. The wine table rests on twelve dragons that serve as its legs. Twelve more surround it, trying to climb onto the tabletop from all sides.

Sophisticated clouds are not just for decoration. It is an allegory of the primordial forces, accumulated between Heaven and Earth, in action. The very pictograph for Qi, invented just in the Spring and Autumn period, refers to the clouds.

Finely crafted, the table was unearthed in fragments. It was a feat on the part of the restorers to bring it together. Rebuilding under the guidance of the bronze ware expert Wang Changqing took more than two years.

Qiang Jin Jiu (The Ballad of Sword and Wine) Truly Mesmerizing!

Qiang Jin Jiu (The Ballad of Sword and Wine) by Tang Jiu Qing, has officially been taken and published by Seven Seas Publishing.

将进酒 Qiāng jìn jiǔ, which literally means 'let's drink wine', is translated as "The Ballad of Sword and Wine" in the official English translation. I've been rolling myself on the bed for the few days I first read this because of how aesthetic and tantalizing the title translation is. I love it so much.😤❤

Ever since the 1st volume came out, it has stirred big fuss over the fandom because of Xiao Chiye's expression and sexy body lmao.🤭

Not mentioning Shen Zechuan is as beautiful as ever..😏✨

And it has again been made a big fuss because the 2nd volume cover is revealed today--

A truly, different vibe and color palette used compared to the 1st volume! ✨✨

For me personally I really love the way Xiao Chiye's eyes is overlapped with Meng (Xiao Chiye's bird pet) which makes Chiye's vision even more sharpened and overwhelming.

Meanwhile, Shen Zechuan's eyes just practically seems ready to draw out your fear-- if we readers really read and take adventure in this 2nd volume. Truly menacing, but I love it!!!❤❤

It looks like Zechuan will kill us if we dare snatch a glance at Chiye omg 🤣🤣

Moreover, Zechuan wears the red robe as his position keeps pushing up. Oh geez, he's truly suitable with white and red! ❤✨

If the first volume is the introduction of the angst and drama in Qiang Jin Jiu, it's as if the 2nd volume practically welcomes readers to indulge and take part in the story.🤭
