I was thinking, so at the end of chapter 1 the policemen don't pull over Nichiteru because they were AFRAID OF HIM???? And I just thought that it might be interesting if he's a part of something bigger. I'm not saying yakuza or a cult... but yes I am indeed saying that. Just a small theory/headcanon.

Also I know that he just has a high status among the regions of Masuda village but I was always curious on HOW he got the status, knowing that he wasn't born in the village and moved in with his second wife (Mariha's mother) who later went missing, yadda yadda. And a yakuza/cult member scenario could be possible because there's DEFINITELY something going on in the village. It could also be possible since Wakako, the author of the manga, is psychic and could put some supernatural plot into her manga.
