Guess who's fishkeeping again~! ✨💕🐟👌 Yesterday we came home w a new betta boyo! He's a lil difficult to get a pic of since he's a mostly black crowntail, but he's got gorgeous bits of iridescence webbed between the spines of his fins and up along his back. He was such a character at the shop, we put our fingers up to the glass of his box and he flared n stretched n posed. No name for him yet, but I feel like it should be rightfully draconic. He's such a lil bab, only just a half n inch or so; I can't wait to see how his colour develops! The big 30gal belongs to my partner @chinburd and their ancient upside-down catfish Nervous. At around 15 years of age he's bounced back from his near-death experience earlier this year. Nervous was living w my partner's folks due to concerns around their living situation, and we're so happy to have him home now that it's improved. Their folks did their best for him, and I can't criticize their kindness n charity (esp w how soft their Da has become toward the ugly old lad). There's lots of room to improve tho, and spoiling the old man delights me. Most of his fins have either melted or rotted clean off but I'm hopeful that some consistency in his routine will show improvement. Two days in and some of his remaining fins have started to relax.. fingers crossed! I'm really hoping he recovers, so I can introduce more catfish and he can have the safety n reassurance of a school once again!

I was really hoping for a productive afternoon, but work was rocky and it ended up being a bad brain day. My buddy @chinburd sent me some good wub wub beats and I managed to knock out one crow pattern before bed. She tells me to call her Darling and she seems very friendly! These purples I was really excited to use!!

Taking a lil break from the crows while I work through some burnout. My mental health hasn't been great so far this week, and the brain weasels aren't making things easy. I'm really happy w the results on this project though! I offered to turn my friend @chinburd 's character Cas into a gryph plush! As it turns out, I had the right obnoxiously neon orange felt to get the job done haha.
