Thoughts on china?
Just that its modern political history is a paradigm of modern politics more generally, as I began to think through here. As for my nation's current enmity toward China, I don't see how it could be otherwise, and it could even be salubrious (for us, I mean) if we take China's extreme technocracy as a paradigm of how not to organize our own liberty-loving polity. (I speak in archetypes here rather than realities.) The paranoia can get out of hand, though, as if China's ownership of TikTok alone dictated the virality of oversimplified radical politics among the young—as if such moral swarming were not in the nature of online life per se, and as if it has not been in the nature of youth since the French Revolution to adopt silly and dangerous forms of political chiliasm. That's all I can tell you. I hope to study Chinese culture seriously someday, and I take no pleasure in telling you how much my current understanding of Chinese culture has been mediated through Ezra Pound! One could do worse than Pound, however, as far as English-language poets go. It was Tennyson who wrote, in Victoria's century, "Better fifty years of Europe than a cycle of Cathay," while Pound, debunking such cheap progressive certainties, found his slogan of revolutionary traditionalism, of traditionalist revolution, on Ch’eng T’ang's washbasin: Make It New!—a line of poetry predating Homer, a commandment older than the composition of Genesis, after Pound's popularization of which our western arts were never the same.

An ecclesiastical court is about to consider the case of Ioann Burdin, a defrocked cleric from Kostroma who’s a vocal objector to the Ukraine war.
According to the case documents, the hearing scheduled for June 16 will consider Burdin’s criticisms of the war. The complaint describes them as “undermining the believers’ trust in the patriarch and the bishops” and damaging to the church and its unity.
The defendant has posted some of the case materials on his Telegram channel. One of the preliminary filings, for example, says that
in different epochs of church history, pacifism has been part of heretical doctrines like Gnosticism, Paulicianism, and the teachings of the Bogomils, Albigensians, and Tolstoyans, revealing, similarly to other utopian ideologies, its ties with ancient chiliasm.
In other words, a pacifist position may be deemed heretical on the basis of being close to the idea of establishing a “heaven on earth,” instead of waiting for the world-to-come.
Apart from connecting pacifism with heretical utopianism, the complaint also says that the Russian Orthodox Church has historically “blessed warriors to defend the Fatherland” and that the former priest’s pacifist position is distinctly anti-Russian, and therefore “unacceptable.”

Is Heaven the Goal?
Protestant ministers, Roman Catholic priests, and Pope Francis have all claimed that heaven is the goal for Christians. But is that what early Christians believed according to scholars? What does the Bible teach? What is the plain truth about what Christians, heirs to the promises to Abraham, are to inherit? Did Egyptian, Greek, and Gnostic pagans teach that heaven was the reward of the saved? What was the goal of Mithraism? Could Emperor Constantine's sun-god religion have affected the Greco-Roman Catholics and later the Protestants? What about the 'Beatific vision' that Thomas Aquinas and others have promoted? Is God so egotistical that He made humans just to praise Him? Does God have a plan for everyone involving giving love? What about keeping the Commandments? Did early Christians teach God is reproducing Himself and that we are to be born as sons and daughters in His kingdom after the resurrection? Was the kingdom of God the goal for early Christians? Why will the kingdom of God be so wonderful? If our reward is in heaven, does the Bible teach it will come down to the earth? Are the meek to inherit the earth as Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount? Will eternity be boring or exciting? Is your purpose to give love in a unique way in order to make eternity better for yourself and everyone else? Will multiple billions of resurrected and converted humans each be able to make your eternity better?
An article about heaven is available titled: 'Did Early Christians Teach They Were Going to Heaven?'
A free booklet on God's plan is available online titled 'The MYSTERY of GOD’s PLAN: Why Did God Create Anything? Why Did God Make You?'

From my sermon on Revelation chapters 6-7
The History of Eschatological Views (End Times.
“
many who belong to the pure and pious faith, and are true Christians, think otherwise.” -Justin Martyr (2nd century)
“Full-length commentaries from the first three centuries of the church have not survived for us to examine, with the exception of that of Victorinus of Pettau (early 4th century d. 303), which seems to have come down to us in a form altered from its original state. We know that Melito of Sardis (later second century 170), Irenaeus (late second century 180), and Hippolytus of Rome (early third century 220) all wrote complete commentaries on Revelation, but none of these have survived to the present.
There are fragments of exposition on Revelation to be found in Justin Martyr (d.165), Melito, Irenaeus, Hippolytus, and other early fathers. In his writings, Tertullian (d. 220) quoted from eighteen of the twenty-two chapters.
We do not have access to much that was written in the first four centuries of the church, and a large variety of interpretations may have been held for which no documentation has survived.”
Justin Martyr(2nd century) (a Chiliastic(kill-e-asm) premillennialist), writing on this very subject, left clear testimony to the presence in his day of alternative viewpoints in the church.
In his Dialogue With Trypho, Justin wrote:
“I am not so miserable a fellow, Trypho, as to say one thing and think another. I admitted to you formerly, that I and many others are of this opinion premillennialism and believe that such will take place, as you assuredly are aware; but on the other hand, I signified to you that many who belong to the pure and pious faith, and are true Christians, think otherwise.”
There are two principal varieties of premillennialism:
Historic premillennialism and dispensational premillennialism or, simply, dispensationalism. The latter differs from the former in its emphasis on the continuing centrality of national Israel in God's eschatological program and in anticipating a Rapture of Christians to heaven before the beginning of the Tribulation.

Promoters: Origen (185-254 AD), Eusebius (260-340 AD), Augustine (400) - Luther (1500), Calvin, et al.

đŸš« Millennialism Debunked
By Eli Kittim
The Contradictions of Millennialism
Millennialism is a belief that there will be a paradise here on earth before the final judgment. There are, of course, various scriptural discrepancies within this view, as I have often pointed out in my other papers. For example, how will people live here on earth if the earth itself will be destroyed in a great conflagration? 2 Pet. 3.10 reads:
“the heavens will pass away with a loud
noise, and the elements will be dissolved
with fire.”
Besides, there are other contradictions. For instance, how could the same people who would not be resurrected “until the thousand years were completed” (Rev. 20.5) simultaneously live and reign with Christ for a millennium? (Rev. 20.4). They cannot be both dead and alive at the same time! There are other contradictions as well. For example, Millennialism directly contradicts scripture by implying that there will be at least 2 additional comings of Christ, 2 appearances by Satan, 2 Great Wars, 2 Great tribulations, 2 resurrections, 2 apocalypses, 2 Armageddons, 2 judgments, 2 Great Ends, and so on. This is preposterous. In Scripture, there is only one of each. Scripture mentions only one resurrection (Dan. 12.2) and only one Armageddon (Rev. 16.16)! Where else does it mention a second resurrection or a second Armageddon? Besides, 1 Thess. 4.17 says that after the rapture “we will be with the Lord forever,” not just for 1,000 years. And the Book of Daniel is clear that both the Saved and the Damned will be resurrected simultaneously, not successively (12.2). Therefore, this DOUBLING of scriptural events is unwarranted and without merit! It is worth mentioning that the doctrine of millennialism was formally condemned at the Second Ecumenical Council in 381 AD.
Millennialism Repeats Events a Second Time; But Revelation is Recording Single Events
The same event that is mentioned in Ezekiel 38 is repeated in Revelation 20. The endtime Gog/Magog war that Satan is said to unleash at the end of the millennium (Rev. 20.8) is the exact same Gog/Magog war that is mentioned in Ezekiel 38, which is also alluded to in Luke 21.20! The Book of Revelation isn’t saying that the exact same Gog/Magog war of Ezekiel will repeat 1,000 years later. That’s ridiculous. It’s actually talking about one and the same Gog-Magog war; not 2. In fact, the phrase that is used to indicate that Satan will be released “for a little while” (Rev 20.3) is actually a reference to the Great Tribulation, which only lasts for “a little while,” namely, only 3 and a half years, or 42 months, or 1,260 days, or a time, and times, and half a time (cf. Rev. 11.2; 12.6, 14; 13.5)!
Moreover, the narrative in Rev 19 & 20 is basically telling the reader what will happen when God no longer restrains Satan (see 2 Thess 2.7)——that is, when the restrainer is removed——and the Antichrist is finally revealed at the end of a thousand years. That’s when Satan will be unleashed, once and for all, to wreak havoc “for a little while” (i.e. for 3 and a half years, during the Great Tribulation)!
Why would the Book of Revelation REPEAT the exact same story TWICE, like the film “Edge Of Tomorrow”? Why would Satan (Incarnated; Rev. 12.9) come out TWICE “to deceive the nations at the four corners of the earth [from the exact same location, Gog & Magog (Ezekiel 38)] in order to gather them for the [exact same] battle” (Rev. 20.7-9)? And why is it that “fire came down from heaven and consumed them” (Rev 20.9) exactly as it did in Ezekiel 38.22? And why is it that they “surrounded the camp of the saints and the beloved city” exactly as they did in Luke 21.20? Are you kidding me? What is this, a repeat of “Groundhog Day”?
There’s an Interpretive Mixup: Millennialists Conflate Scenes that Occur Before 1,000 Years with Scenes that Occur After 1,000 Years
If Jesus appears BEFORE the millennium on a white horse, and the beast and his armies are killed, and the beast is then captured and “thrown alive into the lake of fire” (Rev 19.19-21), then how does Satan manage to escape “the lake of fire” and mount a comeback? Notice that following Christ’s FIRST encounter with the Beast, BEFORE the millennium (Rev. ch. 20), the Beast was captured & immediately “thrown alive into the lake of fire” (Rev. ch. 19)! But the lake of fire is the second death! It’s game over! No one survives the lake of fire and comes back to to tell stories about it. That’s another red flag. It would be a scriptural contradiction to state that AFTER being “thrown into the lake of fire,” the Antichrist escaped and mounted a comeback. That would constitute a scriptural contradiction. Notice the description of the “lake of fire” in Rev. 20.14:
“Then Death and Hades were thrown into the
lake of fire. This is the second death, the
lake of fire.”
This event is final! It is the final separation of life and death. So, it’s completely bogus to say that Satan survived the lake of fire in chapter 19 & came back physically to fulfill chapter 20. It’s complete nonsense! Moreover, Satan’s activities in Rev. 20 suggest that he’s incarnate, otherwise how does a nonphysical being fight a war on earth? Besides, Rev. 12.9 tells us that Satan will be incarnated on earth! So, the Millennialists are mixing apples with oranges. They’re conflating scenes that happen BEFORE the 1,000 years (Rev. 19) with scenes that take place AFTER the 1,000 years (Rev. 20)! And if the description in Rev 20.10—-concerning what happens to Satan AFTER the supposed 1,000 years——turns out to be the exact same version of Rev 19.20—-about what happens to Satan BEFORE the 1,000 years——then we obviously have one story, not two!
Conclusion
The Bible never mentions the alleged “thousand-year reign of Christ on earth.” Only 2 verses mention those who “reigned with Christ a thousand years.” These are temporal signs that reveal the timing of Christ’s coming and of the apocalyptic events! In other words, when the thousand years are completed, Satan will be loosed for a little while (a reference to the 3 and a half year Great Tribulation). Then, the resurrection will occur, followed by the rapture, and the believers will henceforth reign with Christ forever!

Why Every Self-Respecting Calvinist is NOT A Premillennial Dispensationalist: A Concise Case for Reformed Amillennialism
Do you wrestle with your view on eschatology? In this post @TheRealTony777 explains what’s wrong with Premillennial Dispensationalism and why the case for Amillennialism is the most biblically compelling.
In 2007, Pastor John MacArthur, a premillennial dispensationalist, gave a controversial lecture at the Shepherd’s Conference entitled Why Every Self-Respecting Calvinist Is A Premillennialist. In his speech, he made the controversial assertion that if you’re an amillennialist, you’re saying “The kingdom as identified in the Old Testament and promised to Israel will not happen.” The lecture was

Christ said to His Disciples: “Assuredly, I say to you that there are some standing here who will not taste death till they see the kingdom [basileia in Greek] of God present with power” (Mark 9:1). St. Gregory Palamas explains that His Transfiguration on Mount Tabor followed immediately after these words. Thus seeing the vasileia of God is the theoria (vision) of the uncreated Light on Mount Tabor during the Transfiguration of Christ. It follows that participation in the uncreated Light is participation in the basileia of God, which comes “with power”, through the energy of the Holy Spirit. #stgregorypalamas #GenuineOrthodoxy #Hesychasm #empiricaldogmatics BEWARE OF #clericalism #pietism #moralism #rationalism #papismposingasorthodoxy #orthodoxyposingaspapism #barlaamism #chiliasm #emptyform (at Cobleskill, New York)

While Second Coming has already taken place - instead of accepting “cynical Christians” just make money from the prophecy!?
While Second Coming has already taken place – instead of accepting “cynical Christians” just make money from the prophecy!?
I just quote a paragraph from an article: ” Armageddon Books describes itself as the “World’s largest Bible prophecy bookstore featuring books, videos, and charts on Armageddon, Antichrist, 666, Tribulation, Rapture, Revelation.” It is just one of scores of such sites. The sales of items related to the end times and the Rapture should not be dismissed as merely an attempt by cynical profiteers

Petit Testament
Ern Malley
In the twenty-fifth year of my age
I find myself to be a dromedary
That has run short of water between
One oasis and the next mirage
And having despaired of ever
Making my obsessions intelligible
I am content at last to be
The sole clerk of my metamorphoses.
Begin here:
In the year 1943
I resigned to the living all collateral images
Reserving to myself a man’s
Inalienable right to be sad
At his own funeral.
(Here the peacock blinks the eyes
of his multipennate tail.)
In the same year
I said to my love (who is living)
Dear we shall never be that verb
Perched on the sole Arabian Tree
Not having learnt in our green age to forget
The sins that flow between the hands and feet
(Here the Tree weep gum tears
Which are also real: I tell you
These things are real)
So I forced a parting
Scrubbing my few dingy words to brightness.
Where I have lived
The bed-bug sleeps in the seam, the cockroach
Inhabits the crack and the careful spider
Spins his aphorisms in the comer.
I have heard them shout in the streets
The chiliasms of the Socialist Reich
And in the magazines I have read
The Popular Front-to-Back.
But where I have lived
Spain weeps in the gutters of Footscray
Guernica is the ticking of the clock
The nightmare has become real, not as belief
But in the scrub-typhus of Mubo.
It is something to be at last speaking
Though in this No-Man’s-language appropriate
Only to No-Man’s-Land.
Set this down too:
I have pursued rhyme, image, and metre,
Known all the clefts in which the foot may stick,
Stumbled often, stammered,
But in time the fading voice grows wise
And seizing the co-ordinates of all existence
Traces the inevitable graph
And in conclusion:
There is a moment when the pelvis
Explodes like a grenade. I
Who have lived in the shadow that each act
Casts on the next act now emerge
As loyal as the thistle that in session
Puffs its full seed upon the indicative air.
I have split the infinite. Beyond is anything.

by R. Scott Clark | There have always been three main types of Christian eschatology: chiliasm (historic premillennialism), postmillennialism, and amillennialism. From about the middle of the 19th century there developed subsets of chiliasm (e.g., pre-tribulational premillennialism etc). The same cannot be said...

A Detail Guide To Buy And Use Of Vaping Products
Being confused as to which vape to choose is a sad reality! Especially if you are on a mission to quit smoking the conventional cigarette or are tired of borrowing your friend's vaporizer or GeekVape G18 Starter Pen Kit.
That's why knowing what you are buying is essential so that there is no frustration when receiving a product that was not what you expected. Therefore, this article will be the definitive guide for knowing exactly which electronic cigarette to buy. We will cover the best vape kits for beginners, their differences and quote valuable tips to help you. The first thing to understand is that, in general, there are three main basic categories of devices.
Conventional kits are: that the sticks include sprays and with internal and external batteries;
Pod systems: disposable devices and also vapes for the use of liquids with a high nicotine content; Herbal vaporizers: They are specific devices that we use for dry herbs.
How to choose a perfect vape?
Suppose you are looking for something for entertainment or using at parties. In that case, your best option is the conventional vaporizer, as your primary focus is on the production of steam and flavor, with little or no nicotine use in the liquids. Now, suppose you are a conventional cigarette smoker, looking for higher nicotine levels and want to quit smoking or replace this habit with something less harmful. In that case, your best options will be pod systems or disposable pod kits like Pod-systeme Uwell-havok v1 and VooPoo Vinci X 2 Pod Kit.
It is essential to find out how often the vape you should use, whether you are looking for something to produce steam and flavor or quench the desire to smoke conventional cigarettes. It is also necessary to look for references about the store that is buying your device, as, unfortunately, many of them sell counterfeit products or clones, which can pose a high risk to your health.
Use Of Vaporizer For Beginners
First, it is necessary to have a liquid (e-juice) for the vaporizer and pod system kits to work correctly. This e-juice may or may not contain nicotine in its composition, and there are a multitude of flavors that you can choose. Beginner vaporizers should use only freebase juices, which are liquids with little or no nicotine. On the other hand, Pod System kits are best to use with nic salt liquids, which have high nicotine concentrations in their mixture.
It would be best if you inhaled the vapor and then exhaled it. Some users, especially smokers, prefer to swallow this vapor when there is nicotine in the liquids used, but it is optional. In no way use dried herbs or any other product type in place of the specific juices for vapes and pod systems. It is worth remembering to use the herbal vaporizers should only be used with dry herbs and derivatives, such as dry tobacco. Never use conventional vape oils and liquids in your herbal vape.

Quote
[T]he systemic evil that critical studies of all types seeks to trace involves ultimately the fallenness of human nature and its drive to power, influenced by demonic forces. Utopianism that would attempt to establish a perfect society in human or post-human technological terms is doomed to fail, as the classic totalitarian systems of Soviet Communism and Nazi Germany did in their own variant forms of twisted utopianism. Their[s] was and is the heresy of chiliasm. There is no salvation in extremes of the political Right or Left, nor in their identitarianisms. As Alexander Solzhenitsyn wrote in the section on “The Soul and Barbed Wire” in his The Gulag Archipelago, “Gradually it was disclosed to me that the line separating good and evil passes not through states nor between classes, nor between political parties, but right through every human heart.”

The Millennial Kingdom of God
Did Jesus proclaim the gospel of the Kingdom of God? Does the Bible teach a millennial reign? Are resurrected saints to be kings and priests and rule with Christ during the thousand year period known as the millennium? Is this world Satan's world according to the Bible and Herbert W. Armstrong? What about Satan during the millennium? Will the world be productive? Will there be peace and prosperity? Is all the world to receive a witness of the coming Kingdom of God? Will this trigger persecution? What are some things God had the prophets Isaiah, Daniel, and Micah write about the millennial kingdom? What did Papias write about agricultural production in the millennial kingdom? Dr. Thiel addresses these topics and more.

Eschatological leftists, rather than genuine liberals, or for that matter eschatological nationalists or religious fanatics, are not interested in righting this or that individual wrong, reforming this or that defective institution; they aim at resetting the terms and limits of human existence itself. They are like doctors who, instead of wanting to cure illness, want to abolish death. They dream of an existence in which there are no frustrations, no contradictory desires, no conflicting interests. For them anything less than root and branch change is but a sticking plaster over a gaping wound, and anyone who enjoys the present moment is deficient in compassion for those who are not in a position to do so. The only permissible enjoyment is in fighting the good fight.
Why? What is the gaping wound that they want to heal? It is the transitoriness of human life to which, in the absence of religious belief, they cannot reconcile themselves, the life that Macbeth says is full of sound and fury that signifies nothing. They seek in political action that transcendence that would assure them that their lives in fact have significance; and since the problem is a metaphysical one that will never be solved, victory over eschatological political belief, of whatsoever kind, is never final or even very lasting. Indeed, as things get materially better chiliasm grows stronger, for people have greater leisure to dwell upon their dissatisfactions.
Theodore Dalrymple
