The framed photo is actually from his own personal collection! He thought adding the motivational posters and the "rest in peace" would help calm patients. :) He's very proud, please don't be rude.

What is a pediatric dentist?
During childhood, kids have to face many health problems. Dental woes are pretty painful, and if an issue arises, a pediatric dentist can help. A pediatric dentist is a person who has accomplished a dentistry course that caters to handling kids' dental problems. The course he accomplished lasts for 2-3 years and is followed by training. Here we will discuss what a pediatric dentist is.
General dentists are also trained in pediatric dentistry when they are in dental college. However, some of them are more suited to handling kids than others, which they realize during their college days.
Tumblr media
What will a pediatric dentist do?
The job duties of a pediatric dentist are pretty extensive. During his hospital training, he has to practice teeth straightening methods and handle dental needs and emergencies of small kids. Pediatric dentists have to work in tandem with dentists and pediatricians. Generally, it is the dentists who refer the patients to a pediatric dentist.
What is the age of patients of a pediatric dentist?
The pediatric dentist can take care of a toddler to a college-going kid. In case the child has developmental issues, the pediatric dentist is taught the manner to tackle the problem. Such children are dealt with well, and the pediatric dentist knows his dental history and treats him in adulthood as well.
How does a pediatric dentist benefit the children
A pediatric dentist keeps parents aware of the prevention and treatment of any dental problem in children. They also research new age problems and the best methods to deal with them. There are lots of brochures and pamphlets published with regard to the dental treatment of kids. Mostly it is pediatric dentists who guide and inform the right way of handling kids' dental problems.  You can look for a pediatric dentist near me to find out the best options.
Summing up
The job of a pediatric dentist is well chalked out. He has to take care of children's dental complications, which is problematic.  If you are looking for a pediatric dentist in Delhi, you should contact Smritiraj dentistry. They have vast experience in the pediatric field and would help your kid cope up with the treatment.

Top 8 Pediatric Dentist Tips for Maintaining Your Child’s Dental Health
Tumblr media
As a parent, you want the best for your child, and that includes a healthy, happy smile.
At Capture Life Dental Care, we're dedicated to providing top-notch pediatric dental care to help your child develop good oral hygiene habits that will last a lifetime.
In this blog, we'll share our top tips from a pediatric dentist that every parent should know, from establishing a routine to avoiding sugary snacks.
Tip 1: Establish a Routine
Establishing a routine is key to developing good oral hygiene habits in your child. Encourage your child to brush their teeth at least twice a day, once in the morning and once before bedtime, using a fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush. Make brushing teeth a fun and engaging experience by singing songs or using a timer to ensure they brush for the full 2 minutes.
Tip 2: Avoid Sugary Snacks
Sugary snacks are a major contributor to tooth decay and cavities in children. Try to limit your child's consumption of sugary snacks and drinks, such as candy, cookies, and soda. Instead, offer healthy alternatives like fruits, vegetables, and cheese. Remember, even healthy snacks like fruit can be detrimental to oral health if they're high in sugar.
Tip 3: Use a Fluoride Toothpaste
Fluoride toothpaste is essential for developing strong, healthy teeth in children. Look for a toothpaste that carries the American Dental Association (ADA) Seal of Acceptance, which ensures that it meets strict guidelines for safety and effectiveness.
Tip 4: Don't Forget the Tongue
When brushing your child's teeth, don't forget to brush their tongue as well. A clean tongue is essential for fresh breath and a healthy mouth. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and a gentle touch to brush your child's tongue.
Tip 5: Make it Fun
Make oral hygiene a fun and engaging experience for your child. Use a favorite character toothbrush or toothpaste, or create a reward system to encourage good oral hygiene habits. You can even make up a fun song or dance to sing while brushing teeth!
Tip 6: Schedule Regular Check-Ups
Regular check-ups with a pediatric dentist are essential for maintaining your child's oral health. Schedule regular appointments every 6 months to ensure that your child's teeth are developing properly and to catch any potential problems early.
Tip 7: Be a Good Role Model
Children learn by example, so make sure you're practicing good oral hygiene habits yourself. Brush your teeth with your child, and show them that taking care of your teeth is important.
Tip 8: Don't Wait Until It Hurts
Don't wait until your child is experiencing tooth pain or discomfort to take them to the dentist. Regular check-ups can help prevent problems before they become painful and expensive to treat.
Conclusion
In conclusion, establishing good oral hygiene habits in your child is essential for their overall health and wellbeing. By following these tips from a pediatric dentist, you can help your child develop a healthy, happy smile that will last a lifetime.
At Capture Life Dental Care, we're dedicated to providing top-notch pediatric dental care to help your child achieve optimal oral health.
Contact us today to schedule a consultation and take the first step towards a healthier, happier smile!

It's been announced that clinical trials for a potential tooth regrowth treatment are set to begin in July 2024, building on decades of research in the field. If those trials are successful, therapeutic drugs could be available by 2030. A team from the Medical Research Institute at Kitano Hospital in Japan is in charge of the trial, which is targeting people with anodontia, a rare genetic condition that prevents baby teeth and adult teeth from growing in the normal way. The treatment would initially target young children with the condition, but further down the line, the researchers think it could also be used more broadly – with people who have more common dental problems, such as gum disease, for example. "The idea of growing new teeth is every dentist's dream," Katsu Takahashi, head of the dentistry and oral surgery department at Kitano Hospital, told The Mainichi. "I've been working on this since I was a graduate student. I was confident I'd be able to make it happen." Here's how it works: having found a link between a specific gene called USAG-1 and limits on tooth growth in mice, the researchers then moved on to tests that tried to block the expression of USAG-1.

Common Dreams - Opinion
July 30, 2024
Even after nearly six decades of Medicare’s overall success, we must continually protect it from conservatives’ attempts to cut and privatize the program.
Before Medicare was signed into law by President Lyndon Johnson 59 years ago today, nearly half of American seniors had no hospital insurance. Private insurance companies were reluctant to cover anyone over 65. Even fewer seniors had coverage for non-hospital services like doctor’s visits. Many of the elderly were forced to exhaust their retirement savings to pay for medical care; some fell into poverty because of it. All of that changed with Medicare.
In Medicare’s first year of coverage, poverty decreased by 66% among the senior population. From 1965, when Medicare was enacted, to 1994, life expectancy at age 65 increased nearly three full years. This was no coincidence. Access to Medicare coverage for those who were previously uninsured helped lift seniors out of poverty and extend their lives.
As with Social Security, workers would contribute with each paycheck toward their future Medicare benefits. Upon putting his signature on this new program, a keystone of the Great Society, President Johnson declared, “Every citizen will be able, in their productive years when they are earning, to insure themselves against the ravages of illness in old age.”
Project 2025, the right-wing blueprint for a second Trump presidency, would gut traditional Medicare by accelerating privatization and repealing drug price negotiation.
Medicare has been improved several times over the decades. In 1972, Americans with disabilities (under 65 years of age) became eligible for Medicare coverage—along with people suffering from chronic kidney disease needing dialysis or transplants. In 2003, prescription drug coverage was added to Medicare (though the program was prohibited from negotiating prices with drugmakers). The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 finally empowered Medicare to negotiate prices with Big Pharma—and lowered seniors’ costs by capping their out-of-pocket expenses for prescription drugs and insulin.
Nearly 60 years after it was enacted, Medicare is one of the most popular and efficient federal programs. Ninety-four percent of beneficiaries say they are “satisfied” or “very satisfied” with their quality of care. Unlike many other federal programs, Medicare spends less than 2% of its budget on administrative costs.
Medicare isn’t perfect. It should be expanded to cover dental, hearing, and vision care. More urgently, though, the privatized version of the program, Medicare Advantage (MA), is gobbling up a larger share of the program despite myriad problems, including MA insurers overbilling the government and denying care that’s always offered by traditional Medicare. The Biden-Harris administration has been working to hold those private plans more accountable, but much remains to be done to protect traditional Medicare from efforts toward privatization.
Even after 59 years of Medicare’s overall success, we must continually defend Medicare against conservatives’ attempts to cut and privatize the program. Our founder, Rep. James Roosevelt, Sr. (D-Calif.), son of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, knew that Medicare (along with Social Security) would need continuous advocacy to withstand assaults from antagonistic political forces. That’s why the word “preserve” is in our organization’s name.
Many conservatives opposed Medicare from the start, labeling it “socialism” and “socialized medicine.” In 1962, Ronald Reagan warned that if Medicare were to be enacted, “One of these days you and I are going to spend our sunset years telling our children, and our children’s children, what it once was like in America when men were free.”
Today, the onslaught continues. The House Republican Study Committee’s (RSC) 2025 budget proposes to cut Medicare by an estimated $1 trillion over the next decade. The RSC would replace Medicare’s current system with vouchers, and push seniors into private plans that can and do deny coverage. Project 2025, the right-wing blueprint for a second Trump presidency, would gut traditional Medicare by accelerating privatization and repealing drug price negotiation.
Democrats by and large support protecting and even expanding Medicare. President Joe Biden tried to add dental, vision, and hearing coverage in his Build Back Better Act, but encountered resistance from Republicans and centrist Democrats. It’s still a laudable goal.
Republicans, for the most part, advocate cutting Medicare benefits and privatization. We endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for president, because she knows the importance of Medicare to America’s seniors and people with disabilities—and has vowed to protect them. Former President Donald Trump, on the other hand, has been rhetorically all over the map on this topic, telling CNBC he is “open” to “cutting entitlements” but claiming to support Medicare. (His budgets as president called for billions of dollars in Medicare cuts.)
The 59th anniversary of Medicare is both an occasion for celebrating the program’s enormous successes over the past six decades—and a time to defend Medicare in the marbled halls of Washington, D.C., and at the ballot box this November.
Max Richtman is president and CEO of the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare. He is former staff director at the United States Senate Special Committee on Aging.

Assisted Living & Caretaking - Please Read ‼️
Hello, this is extremely difficult and embarrassing for me to post, but my disabled grandma was recently dumped on the street and is in my care until she is approved to be transitioned into assisted living which I cannot afford on my own, nor can I afford to take care of her by myself in the meantime, or to get her the essentials she needs and does not have at this time. We’re currently in the process of getting her approved for disability, but I don’t know when or what kind of aid we’ll receive. She has already been receiving SSI benefits and EBT, however her last caretaker was using them fraudulently for their own pleasure (this is in the process of being reported as well) and have already been drained for the month, not being recharged until next month. Due to the length of the situation, I’ve included the details and link to a GoFundMe I’ve made under the readmore. Please do not feel obligated to donate if you are unable to do so, I do not want anyone to feel guilted into supporting me, or to financially hurt themselves just to be kind.
My 64 year old grandma was found abandoned wandering around a nearby neighborhood around 9 am this morning. Thankfully someone was kind enough to (safely) coax her into a car and call any numbers she could after charging her phone for her. After calling my younger sibling, who then called me later, she was unable to help any further and dropped my grandma off at a nearby grocery store per the (unfortunate) request of my sibling.
She was dumped by her son around 9 pm, an ambulance was called when somebody else saw her wandering aimlessly alone in the dark and cold weather, which she then eloped from the hospital with the IV in her arm until she was found like described above.
None of her children will take her in under their care, and have even threatened to dump her again if put back in their care. Adult Protective Services are involved, but I don’t currently know if the case will be investigated any further.
My grandma has stroke related dementia, a permanent walking disability due to her repetitive strokes and head injuries, and extreme arthritis. To express the extent of her current dementia, I’ll share that she eloped from the hospital with the IV still in her arm and couldn’t recall why it was in her arm and thought she had it for over a week (and that it was jewelry before attempting to unsafely remove it herself), and she is in the early stages of doing things like misusing appliances, asking questions out of context, and not recognizing very familiar faces. (Repeatedly asked who my childhood best friend was who she has know since they were 13).
She is currently staying in my room until we find her an assisted living complex, but was also abandoned with no essentials. She is unable to eat certain foods due to the fact her partial was lost while in their care, and currently has no dental or medical (we are in the process of changing that), and was only left with 2 garbage bags of clothes that mostly have holes (including the extremely few pairs of underwear and socks she has).
Anything donated will go towards getting her essentials (clothes, food, hygienic products, etc.), any medical and dental expenses, any assisted living costs, and making my home a safe space for her disabilities until she is transitioned out and into assisted living (installing locks on cupboards for appliances and sharp kitchen tools, covering sharp corners, hand rail in our long hallway, modifying our stand in shower/getting a sitting situation for her to bathe comfortably and independently in, etc.)
Thankfully I am waiting for a promotion and pay raise from my current job, so this financial need will hopefully be temporary.
Anything helps and I appreciate you taking the time to read and/or share.

Radio Free Monday
Good morning everyone, and welcome to Radio Free Monday!
Ways to Give:
fira211's sister, the single mother of a 5-year-old, has Stage 3 breast cancer and is currently unsure what insurance will cover in terms of treatment; they know at least some of the testing will not be covered but the rest may be subject to change. They're raising funds to help with treatment and other expenses; you can read more and support the fundraiser here.
inkstainedchocolateeyes linked to Ellery, who is raising funds to cover his top surgery; it's being billed in-network but he still needs about $7K for what insurance won't cover, and in addition is moving to a new apartment with all its attendant expenses. You can read more and support the fundraiser here.
inkstainedchocolateeyes linked to phrawger, who is in her fifth year of fundraising for the charity Extra Life, which supports children's hospitals via game streaming. Phrawger is behind on donations due to the ongoing issues with Twitter, where she received was most of her historical pre-game donations. If she reaches $1.5K during the stream it will put her at $10K lifetime raised for Extra Life; she's also offering incentives and "enhanced" stream features for various milestones. You can watch and give at noon eastern on Saturday 11/4, running for 24 hours; you can read more and reblog here, give via Extra Life here, and join the discord to get updates here. (I usually vet all the links I share and while I did vet the first two and I'm sure the third is fine, I don't use Discord so I haven't checked that last one.)
Buy Stuff, Help Out:
bisexualbaker is offering crochet patterns of cute cats in exchange for proof of relief donations to Palestine and/or Israel; you can read more, reblog, see photos, and find out more about how to get your pattern here. (The post includes links for recommended nonprofits to donate to.)
uncle_cool is fundraising to cover future care costs for their cat, Drogo; Drogo was hit with an infection and has had to see an emergency vet. They've already covered the majority of his care bills, but will need help with further treatment expenses. Any excess above costs will be paid forward to cover care costs for other animals brought in to the emergency veterinary office. You can read more and support the fundraiser here.
Recurring Needs:
just-juniper-joy is raising $390 to get through a lapse in emergency assistance; they are currently waiting for disability paperwork to go through and in the process of renewing the emergency aid in the meantime, but their county office is moving slowly, and they need to pay for medication, phone, and internet, as well as rent. You can read more and support the fundraiser here.
rilee16 is raising funds after having to use rent money to pay their electric bill; their roommate, with whom they have had a number of issues, has been an ongoing issue and is also costing them money. They have caught up on October costs but now need to cover November; you can read more, reblog, and find giving information here.
gwydion linked to a fundraiser for Squirrel, a good friend who has recently lost his job and needs to raise about $800 to cover bills and food this month. You can give via paypal here.
gwydion linked to a fundraiser for a friend, whose dog Rosie needs medical care, dental work, and special food; you can read more and give here at gofundme.
And this has been Radio Free Monday! Thank you for your time. You can post items for my attention at the Radio Free Monday submissions form. If you're new to fundraising, you may want to check out my guide to fundraising here.

Title: Not Another Statistic
Author: Nena-96, Nena96 on ao3
Selected Trope: Muggle AU
Brief Summary: After hearing four dreadful words, Hermione’s world had been turned upside down. The voices in her head mock her relentlessly, how could her body betray her? How is she ever going to go on? Was this a sign that motherhood turned its back on her? Most of all….why did it happen to her?
However, those demon-like voices are miraculously put to silence the moment she meets a nurse with the most captivating blue eyes that she’s ever seen. Nurse Ron Weasley, when she visits St. Mungo’s Women’s Health Center.
Word Count: 1,727 (multi-chapter)
Any relevant triggers: Miscarriage, Infertility issues
(A/N this dedicated to a nurse who helped me tremendously and I always think of her. Also, inspired by TSwift’s song Bigger Than The Whole Sky)
Chapter 1: No Heartbeat
“No words appear before me in the aftermath
Salt streams out my eyes and into my ears…”
🔹🔹🔹🔹
Laying on the hospital bed, Hermione stares at the paintings that cover the ceiling. She absolutely hates how the stick figures of children playing in the park, mocked her. How could an innocent painting cause such pain? Well, it’s simple, it felt as though fate was mocking her with something she couldn’t have. Something that was stolen from her, then again how can it be stolen if it was never hers to begin with?
As the time ticked past, all Hermione could do was wait, until the nurse brought her the discharge papers. Then she’ll be able to go back home and wallow in her own sorrow. It wasn’t anything she could do to change her fate, even if magic was real she doubted it could take the pain out of her heart. No, it wasn’t possible at all…it felt as if a magical dagger was thrown and hit
It’s ludicrous, knowing that she came into the emergency room because of stomach pain. Then after waiting roughly an hour and a half, to be seen and taken to a room. After roughly ten minutes, she was given the news that her wretched body had betrayed her.
Sorry there’s no heartbeat.
Hearing those words was nothing compared to what was said next, six weeks.
It was six weeks.
It was forty-two days.
It was her personal hell.
For someone who could talk a mile a minute, Hermione had no words to say, it was as if every vocabulary word she knew was completely wiped away from her mind.
No words, just tortured thoughts. Just an ache in her heart that she will never overcome, no matter the days, months or even years that pass.
She wondered how long it would take the nurses to come back with her discharge papers, she wanted to leave. Yet, it seemed like everyone were taking their sweet time, while she dies on the inside. Things shouldn't have happened this way, the empty seat a few feet away from the bed shouldn't be empty. Yet, that's what happens when she makes a mistake and having a night of rendezvous with someone she meet at the dental gala that her parents were invited to. It was too good to be true, he was the perfect gentleman that night but he didn't have the capability of staying the next morning. Neither, did he explain that he was married, oh no...she found that out after receiving a phone call one morning that almost made her lose all hearing in her right ear.
How could she have been so careless that night, if only there was a way to back in time and prevented herself from going home with that junior dental assistant. Then she wouldn't be all alone, fighting the voices in her heard that's mocking her and laughing at her pain. She would be at home preparing Crookshanks' dinner for the night, instead of listening to the annoying beeping of the monitors around her.
Not having to wear a light blue and purple stripped hospital gown, all alone in a room that felt as if the walls were ready to close in on her at any given second.
Instead fate had decided to make a move and completely turn her world upside down.
Yes, she could always call her parents and let them know what's going on, but two things were stopping her from acting on that urge to hear their voices. The first reason, is her parents had just left on vacation to Australia a few days ago, and the second reason was simply not seeing the disappointment in their faces when she tells them she failed.
That...somehow motherhood gave one long look at her and said, nope she isn't dignified to hold the title as a mum. How could her body betray her in this fashion? Yes, she'll admit that motherhood wasn't in her plans for another few years, since she's trying her best to...to what actually? Keep a job, no..she already has a job that pays her well enough to buy all the things that she needs. So, what exactly was she waiting for?
It wasn't like she was a struggling college student that was barely making it through take-away meals. While constantly having going to the cafeteria to "borrow" utensils and plates because the closest store was an hour away from the campus. She wasn't irresponsible, so why couldn't the gentle arms of motherhood welcome her into a warm embrace? It didn't make sense at all-
Light tapping on glass of the sliding door, causes Hermione to break away from her thoughts as she turns her head. Dr. Slughorn was waiting on the other side of the door and gesture for her from if it's fine to enter the room. She only nodded and watched as slid open the door and walked into the room."Excuse me, Miss. Granger, sorry for the long wait. We're a bit short staffed, but here's your discharge papers, we recommend making an appointment. I've heard that St. Mungo's has an excellent Women's Health..."
As the Dr. Slughorn trailed off with praise of another clinic, Hermione simply felt as if everything was just white noise. It didn't seem real, even though she was staring at the papers that the doctor had given her...it just wasn't real. It couldn't be real, oh how she wished this was a cruel nightmare, in which she can wake up from. Yet, the words that graced the paper in her hands was the cold-hard truth that this was her painful reality.
She traced the words on the papers that held the horrid truth that was her reality.
After Visit Summary Hogwarts Emergency Center
Hermione Jean Granger
Reason for Visit: Miscarriage at 6 weeks
Hermione stared at the discharge summary in hatred and disgust, she couldn't stop herself from seeing the words that emphasized how her body had kept a secret from her for six weeks.
Six fucking weeks.
She sniffled and noticed how droplets of her tears began to fall, soon enough there were far too many splotches of water that now decorated the documents. She tried to keep herself from choking out a sob, yet it was proving to be far too difficult. Her world was spinning and the voices in her head, mixed with the aggravating sound of Dr. Slughorn's voice was causing her to get an headache.
This wasn't how her discharge papers should've been, she only came to Hogwarts ER, because of cramping...not....because of this.
At least you're young
A disgusting thought poisoned her mind, while mocking her with loud and obnoxious laugh. Wait wait...that wasn't her thoughts, nor was that even how she laughed. Those words came from Dr. Slughorn.
Hermione clenched the papers in her hands and looked up at the man wearing a pristine white lab coat and a pair of stethoscope around his neck, as he continued talking almost as if she wasn't there. It was as if he was treating her as just another statistic in the world, just another whimsical women who has gotten her life thrown into an abyss of despair.
"I beg your pardon, what did you just say?' Hermione gritted out as she tried to restraint herself from yelling at the doctor in front of her.
"Oh, I was simply saying that make sure to set up an appointment and you are free to go," Dr. Slughorn said with the most aggravating smile she has ever seen in her life.
"No, before that. You said, 'at least you're young.' Hermione glared at him with such fury, that if looks could kill, Dr. Slughorn wouldn't be standing wearing that ridiculous smile on his face.
"Oh- well yes. I did, I just meant that since you are still relatively young-"
"Excuse me, but why the fuck does it even matter that I'm young? A loss is still a fucking loss, how can you even say that?" Hermione forced herself to say, as she watched the man's face turn bright red in embarrassment, it was as if he realized a little too late what was spoken.
"Oh- no, I-I erm, I'm sorry...let me, oh heavens, I just realized," he tried to check the time on his watch, except he wasn't wearing one at all. This made him become even more nervous than before, "I uhm, another patient needed something. If everything is alright, you are free to go, make sure to uhm... set up an appointment at St. Mungo's," and with that half-arsed response, Dr. Slughorn left the room quickly. Hermione watched as Slughorn walked quickly down the hallway and out of her peripheral vision, and once again she was alone.
Except now, instead of her mind taunting her, Hermione wonders if she was just another statistic in the medical world. If she was just another statistic of a women who lost before having the chance to even love. Another statistic in this cruel world filled with deception and atrocities.
Was she just another statistic?
Now instead of being known as Hermione Jean Granger, a dedicated librarian...she had simply become a statistic in the world. She had become just another, one out of four women who experience miscarriage.
No. She wouldn't allow that to happen, she wasn't just another statistic in the world, no... she's Hermione Granger. She's going to prove to idiots like Slughorn, and the world that she wasn't just another number, and with that Hermione grabbed her belongings and marched over to the sliding door. Flinging the door open with such force that the noise had caught the attention from the nurses at the circulation desk. Hermione watched as the nurses looked at her with pity, and she tried her best not to shed a single tear. No, not right now....she'll save her tears once she goes home and cries into Crookshanks bright ginger fur.
Instead, she raised her chin and ignored the stares and proceeded to walk down the hallway and soon enough out of the building. She's going to prove that she wasn't just another statistic in this world and she knew exactly what she was going to do.

Everyone talks about their disability and how it effects them. THAT IS FAIR.
HOWEVER, let's talk about the children/adults who are also the caretakers, the ones with no disabilities and with a neurological brain. The ones who do everything for their siblings. SOMETIMES and I mean SOMETIMES they are called the Glass Child.
Let's Talk about the Glass Child.
Tumblr media

The Glass Child is often referred to as the Forgotten Child, since the parents forget about the other child's needs. Since they don't have a disability or neurodivergent brain. The parent will often use all their attention on the other sibling with a disability, because they need more care and observation. The other child will be left behind because they don't need that much attention. This will lead the child to feel hopeless and worthless, hence the Glass Child.
The Glass Child will often be;
Fiercely independent – they don’t ask for help when they need it and feel more responsibility at a younger age.
Fear – Did I cause this? Can/will this also happen to me?
Pressured/perfectionism/high standards – too many demands placed on them, feeling they can’t make a mistake; they must do things perfect to “not rock the boat”.
Silenced/feeling forgotten – let them have a voice, they want to be seen and heard.

The Glass Child SOMETIMES have to look after their disabled sibling and help out with their parents. Due to this, their needs aren't being met and they often feel isolated, let down and this can cause depression and anxiety in their adult life. Since they help out the parents, they seek validation and people please, all because their needs aren't being met. Again, this can cause resentment and feeling left out. They often feel, they aren't "good enough", since the parents will put all the attention on the other sibling. They will often push back hospital appointments, dental appointments and other important needs last, since the other sibling needs more attention than the 'Glass Child'. They often feel "less important".
Even to a point the Glass Child will ignore their own medical conditions, because the other sibling with a disability, will have their needs met, compared to the Glass Child. This CAN and MAYBE cause trauma to their childhood to adult life, since they didn't put their needs in front of their own. The Glass Child simply ignored their needs because they weren't "good enough". Again, this can cause resentment towards the other sibling with a disability.
Moreso, to leave high paying jobs, to look after the sibling. Moving back home, to make sure the sibling is taken care of. Again, ignoring their needs and wishes. Also again, can cause resentment. Even a rift in the family.
What are the results in Adult life?
Having problems to connect with people on a deep level
Struggle making friends
Depression
Anxiety
Self-hatred/unhealthy self-esteem
Being overly concerned for other people well being and not putting their needs first
People pleasing
Finding it hard to set boundaries
Finding it hard to say "no".
Being "perfect"
Guilt
Self-blame
Invisibility during social interactions

All of this, combined, the Glass Child doesn't feel loved. Since, the disabled sibling will get their needs met first, while the Glass Child will not.
WORST WORST WORST case scenario, being a Glass Child can and I mean POSSIBLY cause PTSD or CPTSD.
Glass children take on mature responsibilities at a young age.
They might feel obligated to do more around the house or have higher expectations of themselves because they’re more capable. They might even start assuming caregiver responsibilities for their sibling. As a result, the glass child may miss out on some normal childhood activities and experiences.
For example, a glass child may not participate in afterschool activities if they feel the need to be home to care for their sibling or don’t want to add logistical pressure on their parents.
Some studies suggest glass children are prone to anxiety or depression. The circumstances of a glass child often lead to feelings of isolation, loneliness, or hopelessness. When action isn’t taken early on to make the child feel validated and they internalize these feelings, the child may be more likely to suffer from clinical anxiety, depression, or even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) as teens and adults.
