(Chaggie AU)
There was once a beautiful golden city called Heaven was ruled over by a benevolent being called God who made beings of light called angels to help him spread good through the universe he was creating. The most beautiful angel was Lucifer Morningstar. Sadly Lucifer had been banished to Hell for trying to seduce Lilith and tempting the first humans. There was also an angel named Sera who wanted a child of her own and made a beautiful little angel with six gold wings, gold eyes, and brown hair.
Sera: I shall name you Adam.
Little Adam grabbed her finger and smiled at her. Adam grew until he stopped aging when he looked to be about his early twenties. He was loved by all of Heaven for his kindness, bravery, intelligence, strength, and beauty. One day Adam found that some human souls were sent to a place of torment called Hell where they became Sinners. Also some angels came down once a year to kill Sinners.
Adam: I have to help them, I truly believe that a Sinner can be redeemed and come to Heaven. He just had to find a way to get to Hell. One day he got out of his punk style robes and dressed in all black. He hid his six wings right after he arrived at Hell. He tried to find someone to help him, but all they said was that if you wanted to get approval for a business you would go to Lu.
Adam internally: Lu must be an Overlord.
He was told to go to Lu Lu World. What he didn’t know was that Lu was Lucifer Morningstar, the King of Hell. Once Adam arrived at Lu Lu World it didn’t take long to find Adam long to Lucifer. Adam was struck by how handsome Lu was. He sprouted his wings and flew over to Lucifer.
Adam: You must be Lu, I was told that you help me with my plan to help Sinners.
Lucifer looked at the angel and he could tell he was a seraphim, a very unique and beautiful seraphim.
(I like the idea is Adam being a seraphim in this AU since he is 100% Sera’s son, I was also thinking of having Emily and Charlie be the children of Adam and Lucifer in this AU too)
((Awww, I love that they can be twins))
Lucifer smiled at him: I might be, what's your name?
Adam: My name is Adam, I want to rehabilitate sinners so that they can go to heaven and be saved from the Exterminations.
Lucifer thought about it for a moment, he didn't even know if that was a thing that was even possible. It's never happened before.
But the hopeful look in Adams pretty golden eyes, silently begging him for permission.
Lucifer: Tell you what Adam, I have an old hotel that is just sitting there. If you want to fix it up, it's yours to do with as you please.
Adam gasped: Really?
Lucifer: Yes really. You can have a chance to try and do what you'd like but I'll warn you, it won't be easy.
Adam: I don't expect it to be. Thank you so much.
Lucifer summoned the key and handed it over to Adam. That afternoon he showed him to where the hotel was and Adam was so excited.
He couldn't wait to tell his mom.

.
.
.
Long ago before the city thrived on steam and metal.
.
.
Long before you or I came to be
.
.
.
A child born of the Harbinger, the ruler of all the Heavenly court entered these lands.
.
.
.
Though rare, the child was set aside and forgotten
.
.
Cruely, the Gods gave them the title of the lost and wanderers.
.
.
That child was Areti, the Deity of the lost, wanderers, and finally the youth.
.
.
But bestowing titles was a small thing to the Gods, so the heavenly court still neglected the child.
.
.
So one day. Before the rise of the sun and set start of the setting of the moon. They ran.
.
Over the hills, the child escaped. Vowing to never be a part of the heavenly court.
.
.
But there, my children, I would say the story ends, but each story has its side—its own flip of a coin. And that's where my tale starts.
.
.
When the Gods woke from their slumber, they did not notice the absence of Areti and continued on with their heavenly duties.
.
.
But this soon will later bite them back.
.
.
Years after the child ran to the hills away from the Heavens, chaos struck.
.
All beings young started to die off.
.
.
First, the children were struck with sickness,
.
.
seedlings perished from the scorching sun
.
.
Animals' young perished.
.
.
Then starvation came.
.
.
Parents were unable to conceive children. So out of despair and hopelessness, they went to the Gods.
.
.
"What did we do to anger you so?!" The public pleaded bringing offerings to maybe coax the Gods out of their anger towards them.
.
.
"We? Foolish mortals, we have nothing to do with your famine!" Declared the Harbinger, confused about the humans' cries.
.
.
"Then who would hurt and curse our young?!" The humans pleaded. The Harbinger thought the gods could only tarnish the subjects that they had the title of... Areti..
.
.
"ARETI!?" Called out the Harbinger, expecting the child to be summoned right next to him with their tale between their legs. But nothing, only a bright light from the summon but nothing came up. "ARETI?! COME TO ME AT ONCE!" He called out again, another white flash, still nothing. that means they aren't in the heavenly court. When was the last time he or the other Gods have seen Areti?
.
.
"Why must you call after the deity that you have banished?" Called out a young man. He was a storyteller, he stood up from his kneeling position like everyone else. "Have you not heard the tale of the child over the hills?" The storyteller asked. The Harbinger, hesitant but willing to know the whereabouts of the little diety beckoned the storyteller to speak.
.
.
.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THEY LEFT?!" An hour has passed since the humans away from the court to reassure them that he will take care of the task at hand. For the first time in forever, The Harbinger felt regret.
.
.
"My Love, what worries you so?" Anris placed her hand on her husband's shoulder. Anris, oh great Goddess of unity and peace. The way they met was interesting speaking of how they were polar opposites, but that is a story for another time friends.
.
.
"What happened to Areti?" Pleaded the Harbinger. But his wife didn't know either. He asked every God, Goddess, Diety he could find up in the heavenly court. Still nothing.
.
.
The harbinger declared a search for the little deity. The rest of the heavenly court followed. But nothing...
.
.
Out of desperation, to find his child and to end the famine, he jumped down from the heavens, grabbed an anchor and pulled it down to the earths land. Now the Gods live among us in hope of searching for their child.
.
.
But that Idea soon curroded with humans evolving and cities changing, humans once independent creatures thriving without the Gods help now live at the bottom. Each living in the slums of cities begging for basic necessities. While the Gods live in luxury only getting the best. But once a year on the day that Areti fled, the Gods hold a festival hoping for one day that the child would return. And this is where you were born into the world.
.
.
And that is where a new story begins...
.
.

(this prologue is a wee bit long, please just bear with me also sorry it was posted later than scheduled things)
Back when the Earth was still young and new, in the garden called Eden the first of humanity was created, Adam and Lilith, the first alpha and omega. From the moment they opened their eyes, their fates were already sealed. Despite being the first of mankind and as made to be equals to the other as was ordained by the creator himself the elders proclaimed the alpha as the leader and the omega was made to serve him as the two would truly begin mankind. Adam did not like this at all, not only did not want to be superior he did not want to lay with Lilith, for his heart belonged to someone else. However, he did not wish to upset the angels so stuck to his role and tried to make it comfortable for his mate and provide for her.
Unfortunately, Lilith did not want to be comfortable she wanted to be free of this mundane life as the future mother of humanity and the alpha's omega, she wanted something bigger than Eden itself. Therefore, she took an angel into her arms and seduced him. She spun a tale of confinement and abuse, done by both the angels and Adam. Though it was only half true and the angel should have known better he fell for her story and took her far away from the garden. Not realizing the heartbreak, Lucifer the angel of light and music had caused to his friend that day.
When the elders found out what had happened to Adam when they heard his cries, they told him to wipe them away for an alpha should not waste any tears on a whore like Lilith. Even though his tears were not shed for her departure. With that being said the elders fashioned a new mate Adam, the second omega Eve. This time the elders told Adam specifically to keep close and make sure she did not stray from him. Adam did just that as he did his best to make sure Eve wouldn't leave and tried to make her happy.
While he did try his best to, and though it wasn't his fault, as Eve would remind him. She just could not feel happiness when she was under so much pressure from the elders to start conceiving and begin humanity. One day she went off on her own hoping for one minute to get away from the weight and burden of it all. She was approached by a snake and his wife. They explained to her that she could be free, truly free of them, all she had to do was eat the forbidden fruit.
Not fully knowing the meaning behind being free, she ate it. Then when she leaves to find Adam, she convinces him that if he were to eat it the two would be free from the expectations. With an offer he couldn't possibly refuse he partook in the forbidden fruit. However, what tasted like the sweetest honey in the smoothest of juices forever left an impact that remained forever bitter and rotten. When the elders and God descended from Heaven itself punishments were given to all four of them.
God had stripped Lucifer of his title as angel and Lilith of her fertility and cast them into a pit of fire and darkness that was created when sin entered the world. As for Adam and Eve, though they disobeyed his one rule in Eden he decided simply to banish them from Eden. Seeing as how they would already have it hard for the rest of their lives out in the unfinished dangerous world. When God left, however, the elders had decided that their Lord was being too merciful, especially on Eve. Therefore, they had placed a heavy curse that would not only on Eve but all omegas that would come from their bloodline.
An omega's heat would be a long, gruesome week where Eve would only desire her alpha. If she were to bear a child, then come time for the birth of it the pain would be the worst form of pain imaginable. If she did not conceive then she would bleed and though the pain would not be severe she would still feel great pangs. Though Adam's curse was not as painful it still was crushing. He was to make sure he provided for his family, as an alpha's job they said. He was to toil in fields and hunt in the dangerous wilds just to bring food for all the children Adam and Eve were expected to have, and they did have many, many, many mouths to feed.
By the time they had over a hundred children they had both had felt as if nothing more than breeding cows to start mankind. Especially when one or two of the elders would remind them of their roles and responsibilities. By the time Eve’s womb could no longer bear Adam’s they had more than enough with having given like to over nine hundred children. With that they had got to see their children mate with their own alpha/omegas created by the elders and help raise many, many, many, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, and even great-great grandchildren. After nine hundred and thirty years their time on Earth had come to a close.
They ascended to the Heavenly plane and were even welcomed by their creator himself into his loving arms. After spending their lives full of backbreaking labor, excruciating heats, and suffering they were finally at peace. They no longer had to bear the weight of responsibility and roles of alpha and omega. They could simply live the rest of eternity in bliss they didn’t even have to be married anymore! Seeing as how once you cross over any marriage/mating you had would be null and void, till death did they part.
They were so close to being truly free, until new souls kept arriving in Heaven and they were expected to now be the representatives of mankind always having to play the part as the first of omegas and alphas. Since they needed guidance and who better to help them adjust to their eternal life in Heaven than the mother and father of humanity themselves. Even though they decided to end their marriage, they were still expected by some to not stray far away from the other. Eve was still supposed to play the role of the omega, sweet and submissive. Adam was still supposed to play the role of the alpha, dominant and strong.
It all came to a head when Hell’s citizens attacked the pearly gates and Adam was tasked with vanquishing the evil. It didn’t stop after that though. Adam was then given the title of commander and was told that once a year to stop this incident from ever repeating itself. As well as to help lower the number of the population down there. So, without any complaint, just like everything else, Adam adorned a new mask, as a soldier.
For centuries this was his life, once a year every year his exorcists would round the sinners and cull them. For the rest of the year he trained his soldiers, help welcome his descendants into Heaven, make appearances, and basically be the poster child that Heaven expected him to be.
But how he wished he wasn’t, sometimes when he didn’t have to put up the act and he was around very few or even alone. He'd looked toward a winner family and couldn’t help but want that. What made it even more remarkable he couldn’t help but want to be the omega in those families. Yes, he knew life wasn’t fair to them, yes, he knew what they endured, but still, he couldn’t help but wish to be looked after and looked at with the same softness and compassion the alpha gave to their omega. That feeling of yearning that was buried all those years ago would come back tenfold.
Nevertheless, he still continued forward for he knew his role and his place in the grand scheme of things. He would make sure that everyone knew their place. including a troublesome princess who dared to challenge the rules. Her place was to guard over her citizens and make sure they didn't rise against Heaven. Not to try and restart what caused the exterminations in the whole place!
So, he decided to devise a plan with the exorcists, and his girls and would destroy the hotel, scare everyone but leave the princess and her residents alone. As it was the deal Heaven made with the king and queen to not harm any Hell-born. That ESPECIALLY included their precious, little baby. However, when they arrived, they were shocked at retaliation by turning their weapons against them and managing to kill over half of Adam's girls. His horror turned to pure rage as he fought the princess and squeezed hard on her neck wanting her to feel every bit of pain his girls had gone through. Including even some of the pain, he had been holding in for hundreds upon hundreds of years.
Despite gaining favor in battle, he was quickly overpowered by the king of Hell himself, Lucifer Morningstar. The former seraphim of Heaven and the former keeper of Adam's heart. It was probably the most humiliating experience of his entire life. Someone who he once thought the world of looked at him as if he was nothing more than some disgusting pest. One that he tried to exterminate personally.
However, it was not Lucifer who destroyed the supposed all-powerful commander. No, that "honor" was given to some lowly sinner. As Adam lay in the dirt his second in command, his best friend, Lute held him in her arms. He could barely hear what she was saying but unlike some people, she stayed with him till the end. She was a true friend and for that, he gave her a comforting smile as he began to drift off to sleep one last time.
As he lay there, he couldn't help but think of his family, his descendants, his children, not to mention poor Eve. Though they weren't together anymore and had been a bit at a distance for a while now. It didn't mean they stopped caring, that tends to happen when you've been with someone for so long. as well as having known them literally all your life. Still, he was sure that eventually, she'd be okay she was tougher than people gave her credit for.
She'll have to look after their sons and daughters now. he hoped she could do it, by herself. At least there was one good outcome that came from this. Adam would no longer be bound by Heaven's pressuring expectations and rules, yes finally, finally, at long last he free.
Adam thought as he closed his eyes one final time
Only for them to open again as he gasped up fully awake.
(hope you enjoyed the prologue @things-arent-what-they-seem66)

What’s better Christmas present than a bit of angst huh?
When Apollo was young, not yet a year old, he was banished from Olympus due to his crime of murder. Gaea called for his head, but Zeus shielded him.
“I will not rule as my father did,” he said “The boy can learn, he can be better.”
Apollo was sentenced to exile. Nine years, though he was not told this. No, Apollo was certain that he had lost his chance to join his family in the heavens. His father had spared his life, and as penance he now had to stay on the mortal realm for all eternity, alone.
The young god made due with what he had. He wandered through the fields of Greece, tending to the animals he found along the way. He would sing, as light and clear as the birds, and mortals would flock to the sound. Apollo was never allowed to linger long, but he fell in love with that feeling of warm comfort mortals seemed to carry with them, that joy that he could never quite reach. When he could, he worked, often for little reward. He wanted another taste, another glimpse of a less lonely existence. So he became a shepherd, a soothsayer, a musician, always a few steps away, watching but never being.
One day, in the middle of the coldest months, Apollo was hired by a farmer in the Vale of Tempe. He had a large herd of cattle and was in desperate need of a someone to care for them. Apollo traveled through the backroads and forests, making his way to the valley. When he arrived, however, he found no farmer, and no cattle. Instead, a lone man sat at the base of the river that flowed through the vale. The water was near frozen over, but the man did not shake. Instead, he turned, and smiled wide.
“Apollon,” Zeus said, “Olympus has missed you.”
Apollo was shocked. Had his father truly come for him? He dropped into a low bow, too nervous for words.
Zeus chuckled, low and warm, “Rise, son. There is no more need for humility. It has been decided you have done enough.”
“Truly?” Apollo asked, “May I truly join you on Olympus?”
“You may join me at home, Apollo.” Zeus responded, “Your home. Come, we shall perform a rite of purification in these waters, and then you will ascend to your throne.”
And so the rite was performed, and Apollo was cleansed. As far as the rest of the world knows, the two immediately ascended to Olympus, to the glorious applause of the other members of the divine court. Apollo took his throne, next to his dear sister, and began his immortal duties.
But there was a moment, one moment, which was kept away in that sheltered vale. Once Apollo had been cleansed, he stood at the bank, waiting for the next step. Any demand his father asked of him, he would have agreed too. But Zeus held nothing over his head. Instead, he summoned a cloak of sheep’s wool, and placed it over Apollo’s shoulders.
“A gift,” he murmured, “The golden treasures you were born with will bring you glory, but this my son… I hope this will keep you warm.”
And Apollo believed, with all his heart, that he would never be lonely again.
Time is a cruel master. As years bled into centuries that bled into millennia upon millennia, Apollo realized that loneliness would be his most constant companion. He realized that the source of this loneliness, this suffering, would often be the very man that promised to keep him warm. The fire of his father’s hearth burned everything it touched, leaving Apollo with blistered hands and a scorched heart.
But he still wore the sheepskin. When the loneliness crept into his bones. When the lightning crackled across his limbs with a burning pain, as warm as his father promised with an agony he’d never mentioned. When all seemed lost to the ground and the dust. Apollo found that wool cloak and cast it over his shoulders. Even broken promises can bring some sort of comfort. Even old sheep’s wool can bring an illusion of warmth.
I was his child once. He used to love me.
If only the bite of a king’s cruelty could be chased away as easily as the chill of a winter’s day. The wool does nothing, and the loneliness remains. Apollo shivers, and goes to rest.
#trials of apollo#toa apollo#lester papadopoulos#sunny speaks#fanfic#kind of?#tw: mentions of abuse#pjo Zeus#long post#I cannot overstate how the degradation of their relationship both fascinates and horrifies me#also for reference: the cloak mentioned is the one Apollo wears in my Fall of Greece design for him :D

FNAF Bible theory. In light of recent Dave theory. It's just from my surface knowledge of the bible (but I am from a christian home, I know a lot) and few wikipedia findings.
Scott is very well known for being a religious person. That's nothing new. And this theory will conclude with statement that ,,FNAF is just a retelling of the bible,, at least part of it. There will not be Jesus in this one. The closest one will be his cousin John.
Pls. Mind that english is not my first lauguage. Im good at using it, but I keep missing word. And i keep using languagetool. And few time I use term ,,standin for,, I'm not sure im using correct term. But hope you understand. So let's start with what we got now:
David - King of Israel, Battle with Goliath
Michael - Guardian of Israel, Battle with Satan
Elizabeth - Known for being a mother and having a baby (stick with me)
And few important names: Gabriel and Henry
When the name David came out lately, when Hyper Droid was talking about CC real name. It struck me. David in the bible is best known for battling the Goliath, and Slaying him, becoming King after that. And in the World of FNAF, CC also battled the Goliath, but this time Lost. Goliath being stand in for Fredbear, you know Giant Robot. We can argue that even if CC lost the rest still happened, Goliath was slain - Fredbear was never used again, and he kinda became the King - CC is probably the most important spirit in FNAF, and Golden Fredy is the Leader of Animatronics, Golden like a Kings Crown - And stay golden even after all the years, when Golden Bonnie faded, but that's later. Golden Freddy leads the Spirits even if it's not David (CC) it's Cassidy, but Cassidy is probably not a biblical name, but there might be something to it if we dig deeper.
Michael - The Archangel. The One that cast Satan out of Heaven. Yes Satan being stand in for William. ("...he does battle with Satan and casts him out of heaven so that he no longer has access to God as accuser" - Wikipedia quote). And mentioning. When David is the King of Israel. Micheal is the Guardian (prince) of Israel (If we take methafor for Israel in FNAF as the place where every spirit lingers, sooo Freadys. Yeah Freddy's is Israel, The Bible one, not the moder country, it's sounds weird now, but let's deal with it.) Then, idk whats better way to describe Mike. After his brother's death, he goes and protects what his brother has become part of, to redeem himself, to give his brother and every soul Afton killed an afterlife. But this Flipped retelling of Bible. As David failed to Defeat Goliath. Michael failed to Protect Souls. But after tries and punishment, he banishes the evil from immortality. Except there are no happy endings in FNAF.
Elizabeth is more difficult than two brothers, but. I might have something. As the fact that FNAF is Flipped retelling of bible more struck me, where nothing goes as it should, but parallels are visible. It got me there. Naming FNAF characters after biblical figures must have some reason. At least minimal. Let's start with this, and it might sound more weird than the rest, so at least trigger warning here. The Big Elizabeth in story in bible start with her husband going to a Temple and being visited by Angel Gabriel. And is promised Elizabeth will bear a son - John the Baptist. Kinda like Mike going to Circus Baby Pizza. Yes I compared Circus Baby Pizza to the Temple of God. But as we know, everything must go wrong. It might be parallels that Elizabeth, instead of bearing the child, got crushed in the belly of a child (baby) looking robot. (And you know, I think Elizabeth in bible is only known for being a mother of more important figure, and naming fnaf character after bible character might be difficult, and SL is kinda a spin-off, I don't know what Stott was thinking, I just see parallels) But as we now know, even if figures failed to fulfill their job, everything else still needs to happen. Destiny needs to fulfill itself. And have you ever noticed that Scooper rips out your guts, from the belly. And as spoken before, something needs to be born. And as Elizabeth would bere the child, now she crawls into someone's belly, as Baby put her self together. In flipped reflection of destiny. Michael goes to a temple, and is promised a Baby, it happened but in crocked refection, Elizabeth is born from her own Brother. But it's not Elizabeth that is the most important that day, because at the same moment, Michael is born again as the Baptist. To cleanse evil in the Baptism of Fire. And as weird as it gets, Mike being also the stand in for John the Baptist resonates well with me.
And that not the end, but I wanted to leave that on the end, because now we will talk about remnant, and remnants are still controversial in FNAF fandom. And I didn't want to taint my Elizabeth part with it. But You can add this to Elizabeth part, and it will only add more to the theory. Trust me. In the Bible when Elizabeth's husband visited the temple, angel said, and I quote "...and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit even before he is born." Mention of being Filled with the Holy Spirit is something that just struck me the most. And I feared that it made sense. As we go further in FNAF games, (technically first ever mention of Remnant is in FNAF 6, but it's calling back to the Scooper) First ever usage of Remnant comes from FNAF SL. When Mike is being Filled with Remnant by the Scooper. As Biblical Child of Elizabeth was Filled with the Holy Spirit. Holy Spirit in bible is reserved for very special things. And if we going with naming FNAF characters after biblical names. Usage of Holy Spirit in the most important story connected to name Elizabeth and the Child she bore. As Scooper standin for filling someone with Remnant - Michael goes to a Temple of The False God that created the Baby and is Filled with The Remnants of Spirits. God!
Did I mention that It's not the end yet. It's not that big, but I want to point out what I see as interesting findings. And maybe we can do something more with this. I never readed bible, I just had religion in school, and I was kinda interested in that when I was younger. But I have really good memory, and this all just started coming to me.
When researching Michael, the name Gabriel keep coming out, It was interesting (like ohhh Scott, you know what you were doing) later when the name Gabriel came up in The Story of Elizabeth. There must be something more. First it was, did Scott name missing children after Archangels - No. But using just one name is enough. And as we all agree, Gabriel, being a child possessing Freddy. Scott used the name Gabriel on the first gravestone. Freddy the face of basic animatronics. Scott could name every kid after (as I found) - 7 archangels, but that would be too obvious, but he named only one, the first, the one we all agree is Freddy. Scott could give him a normal name, but he needed to name at least one after biblical name. And it's Gabriel. I have a weird feeling that, as Scott is a religious person, he just jumped on Wikipedia just like me, and found that Michael and Gabriel are very connected with each other. The fact that the name Gabriel comes out in 2 most important names in FNAF that also are standin for biblical characters. To this moment we got 2/3 names, but Mike and Elizabeth are kinda normal names, so we didn't care, but Now there are 3, we got David. All of William's children are named after biblical characters. With show how egotistical he is. But we got more; as we got Gabriel, it's now 4/3.
My smalled finding is that old version the name Henry is Harold. And it get me to Herod, the Guy that Order to Kill Children when Jesus was about to Born. But It sound more like William, You Know the Guy that KILL CHILDREN.
And Afton. The Guy Himself. Standin for Satan, Devil, Mephisto. The one cast out and banished from heaven. As Golden Freddy faded but stayed golden. Golden Bonny rotten, darken, faded to pitch green. Should be punished in hell, as destiny called for that. But not everything happened as it should. William is still punished, but what Cassidy the Vengeful Spirit done. Will it let go. Old Man Consequences is God Himself. The End (The last is just my own little head canon)
I went. Kinda insane at the end of this. But pls dont toss it out as a wird therory. Ther is a lot to this that make sense. And fell free to add more to this, if you can find more, or know more. My knowlege isnt that full. Retelings of the bible are very common. And no one ever get that angry when you use bibilical stories as the inspiraton. A lot of stories if you dig not even that deep, can be traced down to bibilacal stories. As its collection of very basic moral stories - Of good fighting evil. And thanks to Hyper Droid, his David theory opened the gate for.

Do you ever think about Immortal ghosts and gods, being traumatized sons of long-gone fathers still?

Do you ever think about Qi Rong, the son of an abusive man seeing a child mistreated by his father and deciding to adopt the child? Qi Rong who was born and for some time raised in a Doghouse-like Shack and his life was turned around when his mother ran away from his father and took him to the palace promising his son that he was going to take him to live in big, beautiful mansions? Qi Rong who was looked down upon by everyone, even by the person he considered a god in the heavens before he even ascended, who was the only one who was kind to him and stood up for him when everyone else was bullying him and his mother in his first exposure to the outside world, Qi Rong who got little respect even as a ghost king, Qi Rong who was insecure as someone who was looked down upon by upper-class children because of his commoner Yan'An-born father, who called Feng Xin & Mu Qing shitty low-lives, who had no regards for commoners and abused the poor lower-class child that was Honhong-er, THAT Qi Rong adopting a commoner child and doing his best to look the best and the mightiest and the most respected in the eyes of his son, not caring if everyone else didn't respect him? And succeeding (in something that the King of Xianle didn't succeed in) as one of the last things we hear of Gu Zi is that he says that his dad can't die because he's told him that he has cultivated to be the king of the three realms or something. Because even if Gu Zi didn't know what the king of the three realms was, it was something that his father was. So it must have been quite a powerful, mighty thing to be? Do you ever think about Qi Rong whose last words, when being asked "What do you have to be held in high regard?" was "SO WHAT IF YOU ALL LOOK DOWN ON ME? THIS ANCESTOR...THIS ANCESTOR...THIS ANCESTOR HAS A SON!"

Do you ever think about Mu Qing, whose earliest experience of law and Justice was his father being beheaded, and then his teacher who wouldn't even accept him as his disciple due to Mu Qing being poor and the son of an executed man, never lifting a finger to stop the relentless bullying he got by rich kids but being more than willing to kick him out if he stood up for himself, and in one memorable occasion accused Mu Qing of "intentionally withholding communication" without even hearing him out first while "his [Mei Nianqing's] words and expression showed he already firmly believed Mu Qing to be sabotaging the affair purposely", (And then didn't apologize to him when his accusations turned out to be false. And while MNQ was so quick to accuse him, apparently hours of nimbly & skillfully carrying a 9 ft Zhanmaodo that a group of people together couldn't pull out of a wall wasn't impressive enough for him to give Mu Qing so much as a nod of approval. He couldn't even just not disagree when the queen praised Mu Qing and compared him to Feng Xin who at 14 was already good enough at martial art to be selected as the bodyguard of the crown prince while MQ only started cultivating at 14 but caught up to FX in 3 years.) still, even as the Martial God of the Southwest with seven thousand temples dedicated to him fully believing that unless he takes matters into his own hands he won't receive any justice? (And note how he thinks if he stays and waits for trial he will face "death" even though as far as we know there's no mention of any god being sentenced to death, at worst even with a kill count as impressive as Pei Su they get sentenced to banishment)? And of how his story constantly revolves around him being accused of crimes he didn't commit from start to finish? As he's introduced to the audience as someone who left Xie Lian behind as soon as Xie Lian got banished and treats Xie Lian with contempt even though he owed everything to him, as he's accused of intentionally withholding communication to sabotage the Shangyuan festival as a 17-year-old, as he's thought to have left Xie Lian & Feng Xin behind and teamed up with the other junior officials against Xie Lian, as Xie Lian second-guesses his intentions when Mu Qing brings him medicine, as he's first suspected of being the father of Cuo Cuo and then the culprit behind Jian Lan's forced abortion, as he's accused of trying to murder Feng Xin when everyone was evacuating the Heavenly Capital, as he's accused of conspiring with Jun Wu against Xie Lian. Despite how he was the only Heavenly official with a totally clean record with nothing to be used against him by Jun Wu and every time anyone suspects him of anything he has actually been doing good because he's a good, kind-hearted person. Do you ever think about how in the end he did end up with cursed shackles but got them voluntarily? Of how Mu Qing who was so sensitive to being accused that he would break a broom and run away when hearing Feng Xin's comment on how they couldn't invite too many people to search for the coral earring, and valued his hard-earned cultivation and statues so much, and his good deeds would always backfire in his face so bad that he believed "truly, there is no point in being a good person" but would still continue to try to do good without expecting anything in return, knowing that Jun Wu would try to frame him and paint him as a traitor every step of the way, and believing what Jun Wu had said about his friends being unwilling to believe him because they hated him, still decided to go to Mt. Tonglu to search for Feng Xin and stayed true to himself and his friends and did the right thing? and in the end, a hand reached out to him just before his fall. Because Xie Lian believed in him all along and sometimes just one person believing in you is enough. because as Xie Lian once said "I don't believe that good will brings bad returns." in the end the cursed shackles broke once and for all.
DO YOU EVER THINK ABOUT IMMORTAL GHOSTS AND GODS BEING THE TRAUMATISED SONS OF LONG-GONE FATHERS STILL?!
#I NEED TO KNOW THAT QI RONG GOT HIS CORPOREAL FORM BACK WHILE GU ZI WAS STILL A YOUNG CHILD SO HE CAN RAISE HIM AND WATCH HIS KID GROW UP#AND LIL PRECIOUS GU ZI WILL HAVE HIS DAD WITH HIM!#also everybody owes Mu Qing an apology. especially Mei Nianqing & Feng Xin.#tgcf#heaven official's blessing#hob#tian guan ci fu#mxtx#qi rong#mu qing#xuan zhen#gu zi#xie lian#feng xin#my two cents#tgcf meta

(Hmmm, I think my last ask was too sweet. I know! ANGST!!)
This monumental wedding is attended by the leaders of both sides (Lucifer, Lilith, the Seven Sins, Micheal, the other Heavenly Virtues, The Elder's). Just as Carmilla is about to say "I do", her eyes catch a glint of metal just behind Sera. Immediately recognizing it as one of her fast flying arrows, Carmilla comes up with a plan to get Sera to safety. As a Seraphim it required all of Carmilla's strength and power to forcibly teleport Sera which meant Carmilla herself was both too weak and drained to get out of the way. When the arrow pierces Carmilla's chest, it hits her directly in the heart, killing her instantly.
For a single second, all was silent. Before all hell broke loose, Heaven's side believes that the Rebels tried to kill Sera, something she must have suspected as she successfully avoided it by teleporting away. Meanwhile, the Rebels believe Heaven set them up by having an assassin fire one of Carmilla's arrows and having Sera purposefully dodge by teleporting. This will become known as the bloodiest battle in the war and, with his side outnumbered and Micheal getting a last minute help from God, Lucifer and his people are banished from heaven.
Sera, on the other hand, is in the clearing she met Carmilla in, confused and very much scared for her love. When she finally gets back to the wedding venue, the entire place is leveled, bodies strewn across the floor and the Elders are congratulating her for "noticing" the Rebels' plot. Sera, still confused, talks to a grieving Micheal and demands to know WTF happened. Once he finally composes himself enough, he tells her everything. But before Sera could properly process what he just said, Micheal suddenly asks if she and Carmilla ever became, intimate, with each other.
Sera can't help but blush when she remembers the night after their betrothal was announced. Both of she and Carmilla were drunk off Beelzejuice and 'Hey! they were getting married anyway, why not start the honeymoon early?'. Sera tells Micheal they've only been together once, months ago. Only to be blindsided by a surprised Micheal claiming that Sera was pregnant, with Carmilla's baby. Sera nearly falls over before Micheal catches her, she starts rambling about how she was supposed to protect her unborn child with Carmilla gone and the Elders still clamoring for Rebel Blood. In her panic she forgets to mention that Carmilla was the one who teleported her away and therefore saved her. Invalidating both side's theories on who attacked first.
Micheal suggests that they pretend the baby was his, conceived before the agreement between them and the Rebels. Micheal only knew Carmilla for a short time but even then, he saw, not only her strategic mind and great fighting prowess, but also her respect, loyalty and determination towards the Rebels' cause and to Lucifer and Lilith themselves. And so, to hopefully repent for banishing his own brother, he promises to defend this child from Heaven's wrath.
(I am assuming this is separate from the triplets AU, since Carmilla and Sera met in the woods in the last ask, rather than in childhood like in the triplets AU. I'm also assuming Lucifer and Michael are still twins, but Sera is not their sister)
Thankfully, when the child Emily is born, she looks like the spitting image of Sera, giving no indication to anyone of her actual parentage. The elders of Heaven are angry that such a child was conceived out of holy matrimony, but that can be remedied. Her marriage to Carmilla was never finalized, after all. All she would have to do is marry Michael, and all would be right as rain.
Soon, Sera is constantly berated and pressured to marry Lucifer’s brother, or at least play the part of his spouse, if she can't stomach the thought of marrying her old friend. The two of them have been heavily scrutinized ever since Michael lied about being the “father” of Sera's child. They have to walk on eggshells, and play the part of the perfect, happy couple in public, in order to stay in Heaven's good graces. The acting almost makes Sera feel ill. There's only one person she wants to be with, and it's eating her up inside that she, and her child, may never see Carmilla again. And she has to openly declare her love to someone else.
It makes Sera feel sick.

Sanat Kumara (Hindu; Vedic; New Age) Also known as Karttikeya, Sumara, Skanda-Karttikeya.
Kumara is a warrior god, devoted to ridding people and the earth of negative entities and lower energies.
Legends abound explaining Kumara's creation, with the common thread being his relationship to the number six—perhaps because of his talents in banishing negative spirits. One tale recounts that Heaven was plagued with demons, so Shiva used his third-eye flame to beget six children who would specialize in slaying demons. However, their mother hugged the six children with such enthusiastic love that she squeezed their bodies into one child with six heads.
Hindus revere Kumara as a leader among gods who banishes darkness in the minds of men and spirits. His demon-slaying activities are thought to be metaphorical, symbolizing Kumara's slaying of ignorance.
In New Age circles, he's hailed as a member of the Great White Brotherhood, working alongside Jesus and Archangel Michael to help the planet and her population with the ascension process.
Sanat Kumara says, "Power is my focus—power for one and for all . . . redelivering personal power to people everywhere, direct from the Great Source of All. Through my realization of the Great Allness, I am able to tap in to its plentitude and draw up from the power supply and distribute it to everyone. By illuminating the masses with this personal power, there's an infusion of justice and grace in the world, for no one can usurp your personal boundaries when you know that your supply of power is unlimited and completely unfettered. Lean on this knowledge, and never be afraid to exercise your rights in all situations that call upon you to be strong."
INVOCATION
Kumara is a powerful spirit who has a primal, indigenous feel to him, like an intense witch doctor. When you call upon him, Kumara responds at lightning speed and with lovingly powerful energy. If you're fatigued, call upon him for help:
"Sanat Kumara, please bring me your powerful energy to uplift my spirit and vitality. Please help me rise above negative thoughts and emotions, like a bird above dark clouds. I ask your assistance in tapping me in to the true and eternal Source of all energy. Please clear away lower spirits and energies from within and around me, and infuse me with Divine healing light."
Then breathe deeply while Kumara does his work. In a few moments, you should feel revived and refreshed.

Disharmonized Heaven basis if any of yall want,,, i want to draw more of this AU im just ironing out things....
Harmony (Tibby's Mom) is one of the main antagonists, but doesn't want to be / is doing what she believes is necessary (while also being in a type of delerium)
She is known for acting without thought, and harsh punishment/judgement (ex, my OC Lost Girl was banished)
^^^ neat detail about Harmony, she cries gold. A semblance of her true self leaking from the rare instances we see her emotion!!!
Heaven World is a broken place, and it is not what it used to be. The vibrance and rhythms have muted with time. (Broken Record is responsible)
Heaven World in this AU is a home to "idols", basically our Rhythm Game characters such as Wandering Samurai, Clappy Trio, Stomp Farmer, Pop Singer, Chorus Kids, etc.
HOWEVER: Mass duplicates like, the Hue Birds or Monkeys for ex: are magical entities who simply live in heaven world.
A lot of the Space Characters qualify as this too, but sometimes there's instances of an idol sprouting among them like, "Player" Space Kicker!
^^^ "Playa" SK is a bit of a people pleaser, and, occasionally runs errands for Harmony.
The Karate Family were the guardians of the world's flow meter back on earth.
Karate Joe was in line to be the next guardian, but Senior kept him in the dark and it made an attachment to this responsibility, outside of his father, difficult.
^^^ Senior actually, NEVER, told his children about Heaven World, either.
So you can imagine: The day he was murdered, and that treasure was stolen by Broken Record; Joe and Maccie sort of had their entire world caved in.
Joe became the idol to replace his father. All of a sudden, he has a murder mystery, and a quest to retrieve their family jewel thrown upon him. Informed he's some "god", that, what, did dad have powers? I have powers? I, have, to become the Karate Man???
And, who, all informs him of this? Why a wise little dog! Barista is not a resident of Heaven World, but sniffs around. He's a friend, of a friend, of a friend, here to help Joe, and fill him in.
Maccie feels lost and left out. (Especially bc, if you remember, she is Senior's golden child) so she doesn't like this talking dog trying to take her brother away very much.
^^^ and even more that she's "not special", and can't help. She eventually runs off on her own, and tries to find the flow meter herself. (AND actually is the one who gets closer, meeting Tap Girl who accompanies a fallen Tibby)
AND UHHH yeah this the bare bones basics. I have a lot of ideas and trying to figure out dynamics and roles amongst the cast in this context. Like \\\ Some characters are new idols (SK, Pop Singer), some are very old (Samurai, Stomp Farmer), and others are simply just guys hanging around!!!! (Barista, Space/Cosmic Dancers) and... waaaaa..... also RIP Senior and uhhgmmmm Goddess Divorce Yuri 😔
If you got this far uhh,,,, feel free to ask me anything / give ideas,,, aaa...
#disharmonized heaven au#rh hc#rhythm heaven#qlso i plan to do pkt for this au.. kinda like existential solidarity

Breaking the "Yaboku" curse
Yo I'm still clinging on to the Tsukiyomi theory this late in the game so hear me out
1. According to the mythos, Tsukiyomi was banished from heaven and his sister Amateresu for murdering someone over a petty disagreement.
2. Yato is often associated with moon imagery, culling/ cutting, water, and other adjacent images like snow and the color white. Even the Sakura is symbolic of the dual-sided nature of beauty and violence. He follows his loved ones around (like how Tsukiyomi followed Amateresu around in the mythos) and embraces different phases of his life in the form of embracing certain (albeit strange) fashion trends. Even the name Yaboku means "Night Child."
3. Yato is an unknown god but has lived longer than most other dieties we see in the series. Knowing now that the Crafter was undead all this time, it's growing less and less likely that he was Yato's true lifeline that entire time, as well as more likely that dieties younger than him wouldn't recognize him, because they are younger than him or have reincarnated since then. Besides, we know that the "banishment" of Tsukiyomi likely means Yato got killed (like Ebisu).
4. We see the Crafter stole the Koto No Ha when he left the underworld, and the Koto No Ha gave new names that couldn't be undone by heaven, but abided by the underworld's rules, meaning that the Crafter could have used it to "name" Yaboku, causing that name to get him out of the underworld even if his true identity was Tsukiyomi all along.
5. Since the Koto no Ha is broken, it could also mean that the name "Yaboku" is gone.
6. But we aren't done yet! Perhaps to reclaim his position as Tsukiyomi, he is now being tested. Throughout the story Yato has matured through his friendships and love. He went from selfish and preserving his own life to being willing to risk his life. But the one thing he never did was: Cut ties with Hiyori.
7. Perhaps, if Yato cuts ties with Hiyori, it could save her life and return her to the near shore. But he would have to make a sacrifice out of love, not selfish desire to be seen as a god of fortune, or take vengeance on his maker.
8. I therefore think that this will be resolved as Amateresu returns, as Yato cuts ties to save Hiyori, that something will happen to restore him to what he used to be. After all, isn't it strange that Amateresu showed up outside the underworld, telling them to call Yato by "his true name" with a soft smile on her face, while later on when we see her she is absolutely unhinged and angry? She is involved in this deeper than i think they realize.
So yeah, I'm holding out. Yato must cut ties with the person he cherishes the most as a true act of selflessness to redeem himself from the crime he committed as Tsukiyomi.

All Cops Are Bastards... at least if you're Catholic
14 June 2024, 7:17 a.m. GMT
In an unscheduled announcement, Pope Francis, presumably in an effort to regain the trust of the historically anti-police LGBTQ+ community after being recorded using a homophobic slur, has declared that all marriages which resulted in a child who later became a police officer shall be annulled by the Catholic Church.
This latest papal decree comes as a shock to many clergy and laymen alike, but sources close the Pope say this has been at the forefront of his mind ever since a 2019 episode of Paw Patrol featuring a canine pope who made "undignified decisions" at the behest of the show's police dog, Chase. These decisions include using his forbidden powers to banish an unruly pigeon straight to hell after it tried eating a single grain of his holy kibble, using autotune software to exclude other animals from mass by saying prayers in a pitch so high only God and dogs can hear it, and ultimately destroying the fictional "pup mobile" in an effort to stop the mayor of Adventure Bay from codifying the Separation of Church and State.
In his statement, Francis said, "God, … in His infinite knowledge, knows which unions of Man and Woman will result in children who will later become police officers, and He does not recognize those unions in His Great Kingdom of Heaven."
The announcement may prove to be rather costly for the Church, as the Archdiocese of New York—which, since its elevation from diocese to archdiocese in 1850, has only ever had Irish-American leadership (we checked)—has released a statement claiming that, considering the long history of Irish-American police officers in New York City, the Church will have to do an intensive audit of its clergy to determine how many of them were unknowingly born out of wedlock, and thus falsely ordained. If this number proves large enough, it could lead to a significant portion of the Archdiocese's congregation learning that they, and their families, were never actually baptized. Religious scholars warn that this may lead to a schism or even the rise of seemingly oxymoronic "Irish-Protestantism," as some laymen would rather proclaim a false Pope than their own false baptism.
Francis has assured the press that he's "not worried about false baptisms at all," since baptisms within the Catholic Church need not be performed by a Catholic priest.
"The bigger concern is false marriages," says 52-year-old half-Italian professor of religious studies at Florida University College, Kingston whose name has been omitted as he asked to remain anonymous. "Think of how many people a single priest marries. Now imagine that priest's brother became a cop. Because of that brother's decision, now they're both the result of an illegitimate union, and all those people who think they've been married in the eyes of God have actually been living in sin this whole time, not to mention their children, who are illegitimate as well. It's really a cascading effect when you think about it. Our early calculations estimate that under this new rule, nearly one third of Catholics in the United States are bastards, and nearly one third of Catholic 'marriages' in the United States are illegitimate."
Some critics have drawn attention to the fact that this announcement comes just weeks after reports that the Church has purchased nearly $2.8 billion worth of stock in the U.S. wedding industry. When asked if the two events are related, the Vatican declined to comment.

@khazdmazerb well if I haaaaaave to (/j thank you for asking)
TLDR; set in a fantasy universe, his name is Vangelis and he’s a celestial being banished from the heavens for rebelling against the other celestials and giving magic to his people (elves). He becomes part of a polycule with some other ocs of mine, Dezriel (elf) and Will (human).
Long version (and I do mean long) with backstory lmao:
Set in a fantasy universe, every race used to live in harmony until disagreements divided them into the human, elf, orc, and fae kingdoms (other outliers exist like mermaids and such but they’re not as involved in the politics).
The main disagreement between each set of creatures was the idea of religion. There was some initial talk of each group practicing separately and peacefully, but the humans were pushy; they thought everyone should believe what they did -in a singular God and heaven- and practice believing in a way they saw fit. When the others didn’t agree, the humans declared war in the name of their deity.
The humans greatly outnumbered all of the armies combined. They murdered civilians, destroyed villages, burned temples and churches, anything to assert their divine right to defend their God. In the end, it was clear the humans had won. They offered a peace treaty to each of the groups -a kingdom of their own on small patches of land with freedom to govern and practice their religions as they saw fit, but only if they agreed to offer their services and skills to the humans (elves for their magical talents, orcs their craftsmanship and artistry, fae their agriculture experience, etc). With the only other option being death, the leaders of the non-human kingdoms agreed.
Vangelis and the other Gods specifically:
The disagreements about religion were silly actually because…they’re all true!
The Celestials worked together in peace for a while, until God started to become greedy. His creations were quickly populating and conquering lands in his name -this flattered him. He believed that he should be admired above all others, that he should hold higher status than his fellow creators and oh hey wait! We just heard that story!! It’s mirror you see. The celestials designed their creations in their own images and then history repeats itself etc etc do you see where I’m going with this
Anyway. Vangelis ends up being the celestial to rebel and stand up to God, so he did something that he knew would upset him: he granted magic to his own creatures. Going forward, the elves had magic, long lifespans and were unnaturally pleasing to the eye (think like. Almost uncanny valley perfect). This did in fact piss God off -these creatures were now more powerful than his own and had many advantages!
Vangelis was banished from the Heavens for his actions, the other celestials too afraid of the same fate. Showing himself to his creations was out of the question -he was beyond their comprehension. He tried taking a vessel for himself, but the gifts he’d graciously bestowed upon the elves had made them strong -he could not possess them. He was stranded, forced to wander unseen, unheard, untouched for centuries.
Until a scandalous night between an elf and a human resulted in the birth of a halfling. A halfling without magic.
And so Vangelis crafted a prophecy and delivered it to the elven king: he would rise again via an orphaned child and bring honor and justice to their people, but it would take a lot of power, and he would have to take a life -presumably the child’s life- to do it.
Being so far from his source of power in the Heavens, delivering the prophecy zaps most of his energy, and he’s forced to exist in a nearly unconscious as a form of preservation. It was frustrating, but he supposed it was alright -he’d have to wait until his chosen vessel was old enough speak and use its limbs anyway. It would look ridiculous and be generally inconvenient to possess a literal baby, after all.
Turns out, his recharge time is 21 years, and suddenly Dez is all grown up. Vangelis, conscious enough now to observe his surroundings, grows attached to his soon-to-be vessel.
And there’s a whole lot more but eventually he ends up NOT killing Dez (our magicless half elf main character) and becoming part of a polycule that restores peace and the beginning of equality to the kingdoms :)
the end
#I’m glad you mean everything bc this is not in fact everything but I typed this up before asking if you meant EVERYTHING lmao#there are some kinks I’m working out (in the story. the dirty kind are set in stone don’t worry) but eh#my ocs#vangelis#Dezriel#will#yapping#not art

A celle qui est voilée (To the one who is veiled)
By. Victor Marie Hugo
You speak to me from the depths of a dream
Like a soul speaks to the living.
Like the foam from the shore,
Your dress flutters in the winds.
I am the algae of the countless waves,
The captive of victorious destiny;
I am the one that all the shadow
Covers without extinguishing his heart.
My mind looks like this island,
And my fate to this ocean;
And I am the quiet dweller
Lightning and hurricane.
I am the outlaw who veils himself,
Who dreams and sings, far from the noise,
With the owl and the star,
The dark song of the night.
Are you not, like myself,
Torch in this harsh and vile world,
Soul, that is to say problem,
And woman, that is to say exile?
Come out of the cloud, charming shadow.
O ghost, let yourself be seen!
Be a beacon in my turmoil,
Be a look in my black sky!
Look for me among the seagulls!
Spread a ray on my reef,
And, in my silent depths,
The whiteness of the pensive angel!
Be the wing that passes and mixes
To the great angry waves.
Oh, come on! you must be very beautiful,
For your distant song is very sweet;
For night brings dawn;
Maybe it's a law from heaven
May my dark destiny bring forth
Your mysterious smile!
In this dark world where I wander,
We must realize,
You, all made of light,
Me, all made up of duty!
You tell me from afar that you love me,
And that, at night, on the horizon,
You come to see the pale shores
The white specter of my house.
There, meditating under the great dome,
Near the restlessly agitated flow,
Surprise to find the atom
Resembling the immensity,
You compare, without knowing me,
The wave to man, the shadow to the banished,
My lamp shining on my window
To the starry body of infinity!
Sometimes, like at the bottom of a grave,
I feel you on my fatal forehead,
Mouth of the Unknown from which falls
The pure kiss of the Ideal.
With your breath, towards God pushed,
I feel within me, sweet fear,
Shudder all my thoughts,
Leaves of the inner tree.
But you don't want anyone to see you;
You come and you flee in turn;
You don't want to call yourself joy,
Having said: My name is love.
Oh ! take one more step! Come, come in,
If no duty forbids him;
Come see my soul in its lair,
The lion spirit, the child heart;
Come see the desert where I live
Alone under my scary ceiling;
Be the angel in the cenobite's house,
Be clarity in the seer.
Change into pearls in my rubble
All my drops of sweat!
Come and pose on my dark works
Your finger from which a light comes out!
From the edge of the sinister ravines
Of dream and vision,
I glimpse divine things... -
Complete the appearance!
Come see the dreamer who bursts into flames
As it destroys itself,
And, day by day, in his soul
More death and less night!
Come ! come into my haggard mist,
Where faith is born, where the spirit comes from,
Where confusedly I look
The obscure forms of fate.
Everything is lit up with funereal lights;
God, for the saddened thinker,
Always opens in the darkness
Sudden gulfs of clarity.
Before being on this earth,
I feel that I once hovered;
I was the solitary archangel,
And my misfortune is to have been born.
On my soul, which was a dove,
Come, you who have the seal of heaven.
Sometimes a feather falls
On the corpse of a bird.
Yes, my irreparable misfortune,
It is to hang on the two elements,
It is to have in me, wretch,
Of the mire and the firmaments!
Alas! alas! it is to be a man;
It's to think that I was beautiful,
To not know what my name is,
To be a sky and to be a tomb!
It's being a convict who wanders
His vile toil under the blue sky;
It's to wear the human hood
Where I had your wings, my God!
It’s dragging matter;
It is to be full, I, son of the day,
From the earth of the cemetery,
Even when I cry: Love!

The Birth of a Legend
NEXT CHAPTER: PROLOGUE: FALLING TO DUSK
Long ago, in the reign of the ancients, there lived a hero. The hero lived among the people, and was known by many names and beloved by all, for the hero protected the weak and vanquished all who would bring them harm with the might and grace of the light.
Hearing of these incredible feats, a great and overwhelming darkness rose to challenge the hero, claiming there could only be one who championed over all. The hero accepted and a great battle ensued, shaking the heavens, until, at last, fate was decided.
The darkness was sealed away but at a great cost.
The hero was fallen.
A great sorrow filled the hearts of the people, but as days turned to weeks and then months, peace returned to the land. Everyone soon forgot of the darkness that had threatened their lives, but that was a grave mistake. The darkness patiently awaited its strength to return and, once it had, it striked yet again. The people rallied and a great war took place to end the darkness once and for all, though they were quickly overwhelmed. Just as it seemed to be the end though, a dazzling light appeared from above.
The hero had returned.
Bestowed with the power of the ancient light, the hero pierced the darkness in a prismatic array of colors, banishing the darkness once and for all and true, everlasting peace returned to the land.
The hero then vanished without a trace. Some claim the hero fell, the body unable to withstand the power of a god. Others claim that what they saw was simply the will and spirit of the hero returning to protect them once more by using the light within. Though the hero’s name was lost to time, many still call the legend by the story that lived on.
The Legend of Zäp
“Now, will you finally go to sleep?”
The guardian closed the dusty book the wide-eyed child before him had curiously snagged off of his personal shelf.
“No way! I have so much to do now!” The child jumped up and down on the bed, springs creaking even under his smaller-than-average frame, “I gotta train so I can become big and strong and cool and-!!”
The ecstatic child prepared to run out the door, before being quickly halted in his tracks by a sturdy scruff to the neck, “Not so fast, little one,” The small child huffed as he gave up the pointless struggle to move his limbs, “Where do you think you’re running off to at this hour?”
“Like I said, I gotta become big and strong!”
“Now? But it’s past your bedtime.” The guardian offered a small wink, releasing the relenting child back onto the bed, “And why the rush, son? You have your whole life ahead of you to become big and strong.”
The child stood tall, placing his hands on his hips and flashing a confident grin, showing off one of his missing baby fangs.
“Because I’m gonna become the greatest hero in all of Mobius! They’ll call me ‘The Hero of Mobius’! I’ll be a legend so cool and fearless that no darkness will wanna mess with me!” With that, the child kicked and punched the air, locked in an intense battle with his imaginary foe.
The guardian chuckled warmly at the display, “Well then, Hero of Mobius, the best way to get big and strong is to get enough rest. You can’t expect to fight bad guys with so little energy now can you?”
The small child put his hand to his chin, “Hmmmm I guess not,” He then raced under the sheer, musky bed sheets, letting out a small yawn as he curled up into himself slightly, “Okay, I’m ready to sleep now.”
With book in hand, the guardian rose from the bed, turning out the light and pausing at the door as a small, tired voice called out one last time.
“Good night, Chuck.”
The orphanage head smiled back, silhouetted by the warm light in the hall.

Cult of Asmodeus au for those interested
Archangel Michael was told to test Adam and Eve forever ago, however he did too well at tempting Adam into disobeying God, tempting him with the fruit and Lust. God got angry because his golden child did something bad, even at his own order. Because of the technicality of sinning at God's command he wasn't fully damned nor allowed to stay in heaven. The other archangels also turned against him. His name was changed from Michael to Asmodeus and his punishment was to never be known as Michael again and many of his actions would be attributed to others to erase his memory as much as possible while a different archangel assumed the identity of Michael.
Asmodeus wanders the earth and has gone through fits of sin and trying to regain his divinity but it seems like God is ignoring his actions. He isn't even allowed to speak the truth of his identity because God ordered it to be forgotten. Through Gary he learned about John, who Asmodeus saw as the only person who could understand him between the religious trauma of one action damning you out of Heaven and fighting so hard to redeem himself.
If John could redeem himself then Asmodeus reasoned he would be able to help him. And even if he couldn't, he wanted John for company. Asmodeus frustrated God enough that God would speak to him and managed to talk God into an "impossible test" for his priest.
If John could put the pieces of his identity together and figure out Asmodeus is the true archangel Michael then Asmodeus can have his divinity back, even if God won't allow him in Heaven. In addition, if Asmodeus' faith is correct and John can do it then he will get John's soul, partially out of spite, partially because he sees John trapped in the same way he is and the only way for either of them to be somewhat happy is to be free of Heaven and Hell.
God only agreed to this deal because God was so sure John would fail and by extension Asmodeus would be purged from reality that he saw no way for himself to lose. He even allowed John to eat the fruit of knowledge, however it opened John's eyes a bit too much.
He was more open to visions, more receptive of hints, and the longer he spent with Asmodeus the more he realized Asmodeus wasn't the same horrible demon as all other demons he's had to deal with. Asmodeus still has grace, still misses Heaven despite all the bitterness, still worships the lord as angry as he is at God. He managed to piece things together and recognize Asmodeus as the former archangel Michael and God was far from happy about it.
God had made the same mistake as John and sold an innocent life away, God had gambled with a soul and lost. And John was blissfully unaware that he was never meant to succeed, only told that the demon requested purification from him and God assured him to just do his best. He did his best. He did the impossible even.
And for that God made John, and by proxy Lisa, saints now gifted to Asmodeus due to their souls being connected.
After the shock wore off, they decided that since God, and the church, would never want them, and being immortal they can't go to Heaven or Hell, Asmodeus would begin a "cult" where they practice religion but it's a more "relaxed" version where people are told how to sin and still get into heaven as long as they don't do anything extreme. God hates it, but the trio is doing good by making being religious feel more realistic to more people.
Garcia is very torn about the situation. John did do so good as a priest he became a saint but was banished out of Heaven and Hell, being his mentor it's one of the most heartbreaking things to see him try so hard only for this to be his reward. His faith in a just and fair god has been completely shaken but he's trying to cling to whatever makes sense to him.
John grieves for a long time about it before accepting that he does have absolute freedom and can let go of a lot of religious trauma he's been holding onto since childhood, both from Miriam and the church itself with how extreme they can get. He tries to assure others he's okay but he's still angry at god for betting with his soul. He doesn't resent Asmodeus because God never should have made that deal and if anything Asmodeus has been very kind and seems equally horrified that things ended up so messy.

The Edge of Paradise
In case the link to this work on AO3 doesn't work:
He stood at the edge of paradise.
His cerulean eyes gazed past the darkness and void of space.
Those eyes.
Their intense stare held fast.
Earth.
Vast waters painted across this minuscule speck of a sphere.
Reflected in the abyss were oceans of pain raging deeply in his very existence.
Humans.
His Father insisted he subjugate himself to lesser beings.
Beings who were flawed beyond belief.
Why did his father love these abhorrent creatures more than his first children?
As he stood at the edge of paradise,
No being could detect the scent of utter contempt and sadness forged by his Father forsaking him.
One small glint of raw anguish flashed, barely perceptible, fleeting even.
The stoic facade returned to mask impenetrable walls built of resentment, rage, and revenge.
Anger erupted from deep within the Light Bringer.
In lieu of love, his Father bestowed a curse upon him.
A burden that bore down on him with such a force, it crushed his benevolence.
A burden that embedded in him the darkness it was meant to contain.
The darkness bonded his caustic and invalidating internal and external conflict.
Within him, a tangled web of malevolence formed, stifling his empathy and pushing it down behind the fortress of pride.
The vacuity of the darkness bore into his grace.
His brother's treachery manifested a malignant oozing wound patched with fury and malice.
Pride was his crime, his undoing, they said.
THEY said.
T H E Y...and his brother's abiding.
His Father's resolve.
Why should he lower himself to lesser beings?
Why are the celestials, his brothers and sisters, commanded to laud humanity above God?
So his Father labeled him a petulant child.
Rebellious. Ungrateful.
His siblings shouted.
Disobedient! Prideful! Disloyal!
He felt it bubbling to the surface.
His angelic form began to contort with corruption.
His fiery wings flared with magenta, the grandest wings in all creation.
His brother, the first Archangel, approached with the stern face of a warrior, a General.
Their Father had commanded Michael to cast out the Light Bringer from Heaven.
The ever-dutiful son with his flaming sword raised high above his head. Regret etched across his face hidden by his fidelity.
In a booming voice that shook the universe, Michael handed down Lucifer's sentence.
"Samael, shining one, bringer of light and dawn; the morning star. Our Father is displeased with your incessant repugnance and antipathy towards his favored creation. There is no reprieve for you, brother."
Words uttered in Enochian; Michael's sword began to siphon the fire from Lucifer's wings.
The feathers began forming ice crystals.
The Morning Star cried out in agony as he began to feel a cold settle into his towering frame.
Michael continued, "It brings me no pleasure to expel you and those who follow you. You are my most cherished brother, but you defied our Father and I must do his will for I am a good son."
Michael brought his sword down.
A massive shockwave ripped through Heaven.
Lucifer and his followers plummeted to the Earth.
Their screams splitting the sky as they fell.
When he had stood on the edge of paradise hoping to plead his case
His Father had never showed.
No, his Father commanded Michael to unleash Heaven's righteous wrath.
His Father abandoned him.
The deity who favored him the most out of all the Host, left.
In absentia.
Gone.
Now, Hell holds his prison high in the dark nothingness deep in Limbo.
Why did his Father would banish him to such a place?
Why did his Father throw him away?
He allowed himself one final wail that continues to resonates through every molecule of creation, even now.
One final cry.
One last tear.
He allows himself one last look from exile.
One last look at his former Heavenly home before he turns his back, just as they had turned their backs on him.
