The ‘Fantastic Four’ Trailer Is An Adjective You Can Guess

Disney has finally released the Fantastic Four: First Steps trailer, bringing the Marvel’s First Family to the MCU in the biggest addition to the universe in an exceptionally long time. Arguably since the Avengers themselves first assembled.

The initial spot is a minute and a half long, and while yes, this is an MCU project, this movie is (at least at the start) taking place in an entirely separate universe akin to the Jetsons with ‘50s era aesthetics and seemingly no other superheroes around.

Sometimes I think that there’s such a bad storm in Gotham that Bruce can’t go out. Like he can’t see one foot in front of him and will/has crash the Batmobile. So unless there’s something big happening, going out just does more harm than good.

Damian doesn’t seem to understand this. He huffs and whines and criticizes. Now all of his kids have complained about not going out on nights like this, but he doesn’t think they were this upset.

It’s just them and Alfred in the Manor tonight. Perhaps it’s time for some much needed father son bonding.

They start out with a game of chess. They play a couple of rounds, Bruce winning most of them. However they’re pretty evenly matched. Damian makes him talk through his strategy to see where he went wrong.

Eventually they decide to quit and watch a movie or something. They settle on a wildlife documentary that follows a young cheetah going out on her own for the first time. As Bruce predicted, Damian falls asleep before the documentary is over. They finish out the movie and Bruce waits for a bit before gently picking Damian up and taking him to bed.

Damian is a light sleeper, he has to be. And even though Bruce could've probably moved any other child without waking them up, unfortunately it's not true for his son. Luckily, Damian is curious as to what his father is doing when he thinks that Damian is asleep. Although he wouldn't allow it otherwise, he lets himself be carried to bed and tucked it. Even as Bruce leans down and kisses his forehead.

🔮 When you guys had your first child, Blitz, he was amazed at how much he resembled his father. From his skin color to his eyes, his first born son was the basic copy of him. And as he grew and aged into an older teenager, he proved to be almost exactly like Hit

🔮 Now, with your second born, Swat, he looked like an exact mixture of you both. He had your skin color with a tint of purple, more specifically, around his mouth was a light purple -matching Hit-. He also had one of his eyes your color and the other Hit's red. He proved to be more like you with personality though

🔮 Satin on the other hand, she was your first girl. And when Hit first held her, he ordered himself to keep her safe no matter what. Despite the fact that she looks almost exactly like Hit and her oldest brother, she did have long purple hair that you would weave flowers into daily. Her personality was more soft and kind, matching her name's meaning

🔮 When your fourth was born, your three older kids were around middle school and upper elementary ages, so they were happy to see the tiny boy in their parent's arms. Bolt was a lot like you in appearance, but took on his father's colors. So his skin was purple with lighter parts and he had eyes that looked like yours but had Hit's color

🔮 Lastly was Hue. Hue was the most unique compared to her older siblings. She had her father's eyes with her hair starting with your color but then ending with a lilac tone. She also had a very small stature, which she would use against her taller siblings when training

🔮 Now, onto him raising them with you!

🔮 Hit loves all of his kids without a doubt. And he loves the fact that he had them with you even more. He has deep connections with all of them, and not only the one of connected DNA

🔮 With Blitz, he loves to train with him, whether it be mental or physical. They also get confused with siblings when Blitz grows up to be a teen. Like when Goku first met him during the Tournament of Power, he asked what it was like being a Hitman's brother, much to Hit's annoyance

🔮 Swat and Satin are on a similar level. The two are quite similar, they were strong, but preferred to stray from battle. Instead of training them physically, he would help them mentally. That meaning he would teach them hard games -like Chess- and help them with any kind of issue that faced them without second thought

🔮 Bolt and Hit get along the second-best. Bolt loves to mess with his father, whether it be from pranking him to simply conning him for the fun of it. And instead of getting angry like he would with others, Hit just chuckles and tells his son how smart he is with his actions, thinking carefully and not not thinking at all

🔮 Hue and Hit are the cutest though! Hit loves to just sit by her crib and either tell her stories of himself and you or read her ones from old books you kept over time. He also adores holding her in his arms and doing anything with her. And I mean that. Hit would let her color his face in paint if she wanted too, he finds it wholesome. And y'know what? IT IS.

🔮 Whenever you would walk by and see your large family sleeping on the floor with some random documentary on whatever playing in the background, you can never resist the urge of taking a photo and laying down with your husband and children in a little sleepy huddle of sorts

🔮 When all of your kids age, Hit hides his true sadness, missing the times when they were young and so tiny that their hands could barely wrap around his finger. And if any of your daughters were to bring home a guy, let's just say your husband makes sure he doesn't even think of mistreating your babies

Zamasu's Children; Tsuki (First; Female), Kiyoshi (Second; Male), Megumi (Third; Female), and Taki (Fourth; Male)

🍵 Zamasu honestly never wanted a family. He found the idea of it to be a hassle, after all, he was an apprentice for the position of Supreme Kai in Universe 10, where you both resided

🍵 But, when he finally slowed down after speaking to Gowasu, the Shinjin finally began to actually think and imagine what it would be like having a family with you, leading to your four children being born a mere couple of years later

🍵 Your oldest daughter, Tsuki, was born during a full moon. She shared similar characteristics to her father, that being her ears and white hair. Her skin, on the other hand, was a more natural green (a tinted tone of your own color)

🍵 After Tsuki came Kiyoshi, whom came on the opposite as his sister. He arrived on a bright day, and he looked exactly like you, but had the same physical stature of his father, much to Zamasu's glee

🍵 Then arrived your youngest two, only a mere nine months apart due to natural gestation time. (yes I google that bite me) Megumi was first, she looked like her father the most, having his skin, hair, and eyes. Taki came later and looked exactly like you, minus his ears

🍵 Much like Hit, Zamasu does love his children, but he doesn't show it as much. While he does mess around with them from time to time, he mostly teaches them real things. From learning how to yield their powers they inherited from both you and him to understanding how the role of a Supreme Kai can affect others. Hell, you caught him teaching Tsuki about a flower she had come across!

🍵 He also has certain things he bonds with more with his separate children. With Tsuki it's nature, with Kiyoshi it's the roles of being a Supreme Kai and the rest of the ranks in the divine system, Megumi and him love to speak about fighting techniques and the ways your universe worked and finally Zamasu and Taki bond over tea making and almost everything with creativity (arts and crafts)

🍵 As the children aged, Zamasu wouldn't admit it but he missed when they were all young and innocent. He loved it when each of his children would lightly tug on either his pant leg or his sleeve to ask him what something meant or what it was in general

🍵 He isn't the best if the children were in a confrontation, he merely just tells them that they shouldn't let such an incident escalate

🍵 He hopes you don't overhear most of the time because you were far more prone to physical violence than he is. But, if the situation needed it, Zamasu would tell his children some ways to get into their opponent's head

🍵 Yeah, not only are your four children strong when it comes to their more 'magical' abilities, but they are also pretty much mentally invincible

🍵 Unlike most fathers, Zamasu doesn't really care if his children (male or female) were to bring home a man. But, if he thought something was up, and not in a good way, he would either find out the truth or pry it out of the suspect himself

🍵 Overall he would be a 7.5/10 father in my opinion

Jiren's Children: Kemuri (First; Male), Hana (Second; Female), Kiko (Third; Female), Takeshi (Fourth; Female), and Tatsu (Fifth; Female)

🥊 Jiren never thought of himself to ever have a lover, nonetheless a family of his own after his traumatic loses in the past

🥊 But, after meeting you after the Tournament of Power from Goku, who just wanted to introduce one of his most quiet friends, and pretty much one of his only ones outside of his home of Universe 7

🥊 When you guys first married, he felt this urge to have a family with you. Call it the 'Sasuke-urge' for my Naruto fans out there. He really wanted to restart his clan, make his own family into what it once was before they were annihilated

🥊 This did prove to be fruitful, as you had five children together. Your first being your only male, Kemuri. Kemuri was almost a carbon-copy of Jiren, he just has a more humanoid shape when it came to his eyes. But, other than that, he was exactly like his father

🥊 Hana, your oldest daughter, was just like you in every way except her eyes. She basically swapped with her brother. She adored the more simple things in life, but that doesn't mean the little sweetheart couldn't throw a punch if necessary

🥊 Then came your third and fourth babies, Kiko and Takeshi. Kiko was basically you while Takeshi was her father. Unlike their older siblings, these two had the full physical appearances of one parent and one parent alone. Even their personalities were exactly like the parent they looked like

🥊 After those four came your youngest and last girl, Tatsu. This little demon was the devil of the family. She could slip anywhere and do almost everything that you and Jiren could. It was honestly scary sometimes. It's even scarier if you saw a tiny little pure-white human with the most empty-yet-sparkly black eyes just smiling at you from below

🥊 Jiren, like the others unsurprisingly, loves his kids to bits. While he does have his favorites to be around (Kemuri and Takeshi), he does enjoy being around his other three offspring

🥊 Your husband does like training his kids, making sure they were able to keep themselves and the rest of the family safe from any harm they came across. Whether it be somebody like you (a human) to be someone like the being who killed his old family

🥊 But, unlike others, Jiren does not feel that bad as his kids age. He understands what it's like to grow up faster than you should first-hand. And while growing up was hard for him, watching your five children grow and mature was something that this alien actually loved to see. It showed him that he can do things other than cause harm

🥊 Jiren, if it were to happen, saw any of his children get harmed from anything, whether it be a mental issue or a physical issue, would tear it down. If it was mental, he would inspire his child to rise above, but if it was physical... let's just say seeing a 6'4 extremely-muscular alien standing behind a smaller-built child with an overwhelming aura glaring at you would scare anyone

Beerus' Children: Martinez (First; Male), Tini (Second; Female), Rumi (Third-Triplet; Male), Rita (Fourth-Triplet; Female), Politan (Fifth-Triplet; Male), Taimai (Sixth; Male), Pinya (Seventh-Twin; Female), and Cola (Eighth-Twin; Female)

💣 Since he's a God, Beerus lives a long and pretty simple life. His days consist of; wake up, eat, destroy a few less than worthy worlds, eat again, and sleep. But, when you came in and you guys decided to grow a family, he proved to step up to the plate surprisingly well

💣 You guys wanted a small family at first, but, that quickly turned 180 degrees around after having your eight, yes, EIGHT KIDS

💣 Your firstborn child, your son Martinez, looked like a human with purple hair with cat ears and a long tail. His nails were also fairly long and pointy like his father's claws. Hell, even his eyes looked like his father's! Everyone, including Whis, thought that Beerus cloned himself, made that clone a baby and a human when they first saw him

💣 A few years after Martinez was born, you both had your firstborn daughter whom you named Tini. Tini looked a lot like her mother, from her skin to her eyes and to her hair, she just was a little copy of you. But her personality was a carbon-copy of her father's, she was sleepy a majority of the time but she also had a playful side to her

💣 When Tini was 5 and Martinez was 7, you both found out you were having yet another child. But, when you came back from the doctor and your fellow co-workers (the Angels, Zen'o, and the Gods) asked about the baby, they were surprised to hear you were having three. Yes, three children.

💣 When they were born, you had Zen'o (whom you watched over most of the time), Whis (Beerus' closest friend), and Champa (Beerus' twin brother) name each of them. Zen'o named your final-born Politan, Whis named your firstborn Rumi, and Champa named your second triplet Rita

💣 They all looked exactly like Beerus. Literally. From his body type (bone-showing no matter what), tall purple ears that matched their hairless skin, narrowed yellow eyes -though Rita's eyes were a hint more wide-, his nails and tail, these children had it all

💣 Since you guys now had five kids, you let them grow up quite a bit. You eventually found out you were pregnant again with your sixth child, that being your last son. When he arrived, your toddler-aged children were happy to see he looked exactly like Beerus as well, except he had a shorter tail than him

💣 Beerus and you finally decided to hang your towel up after Taimai (your sixth child) was born. But, something in the universe just wanted your body to suffer another pregnancy. Except this time, you were having twins, more specifically twin girls

💣 It was only after your fully-human appearing girls were born that you literally asked Zen'o if he could make you infertile for the rest of your immortal life. But, he just laughed, pat your head, and went on playing with your previous six kids outside

💣 Pinya and Cola (your twins), like I said, looked fully human. But, they did have small qualities of your husband. Pinya had a tiny and oddly-shaped nose with randomly placed purple-tinted skin (like vitiglo in a way). Cola, on the other hand, had longer nails with all of her skin being tinted purple along with yellow-colored irises

💣 While your kids aged, Beerus would watch over them whenever you had work to do back at the Omni-King's palace. Though, since he has a habit of falling asleep, Whis would stay by his side more often and handle the kids when Beerus needed some sleep. Key-word: NEEDED. Most of the time, Beerus would stay awake, but when he didn't his angelic assistant would poke his tail with his staff

💣 Your husband did like holding his children when they were newborns. Whenever they needed a nap, he would pick her/him up and hold them with their head laying on his chest -which was covered by a robe that you gave him so your kid's nails wouldn't shred his shirt-, and just fall asleep alongside their father

💣 Even as the eight beings grew up and into young adults, they enjoyed napping alongside their father. It was the one thing that they all had in common with one another. And you would happily join your large family in the room you had specially designed for some quality family-bonding. You would have your husband's thin-yet strong arms around your waist while your kids were holding onto one of you somehow

some are more accurate maybe, some had to be mustered up to be filled in since I had no ideas D:

the guys:

Dutch — Hear me out; fashion shows. This man is first in line for the TV remote when theres a Victoria's Secret runway on one of the channels. That, or those "Wear or Tear" shows. He becomes a true fashionista.

Arthur — I feel, same with Charles, he'd be into watching Bear Grylls surviving in the wild. I don't know how to explain this one tbh, it just sounds right to me.

John — I really struggled with this one, honestly. I could NOT think of one thing he would watch. Anyhow, Abigail doesn't let him watch too much of it, but he'll also tune in when theres a football match OR, even better; baseball. I feel like he's a baseball type guy.

Javier — Another hear me out; Spanish cooking shows. This I have literally no explanation for, it came to me and I instantly said 'oh, YES' aloud. So, I'm sticking with it.

Micah — Would be big into sport channels, football and especially big on ice hockey. Let's be honest, he's literally a dad on Sunday afternoons but like, every day of the week, my little couch potato. His main thing would be ice hockey and I stand firm by that.

Lenny — Just a hunch here, but I think Lenny would like crime shows. Whether it's something like Criminal Minds or actual criminal cases and how they were solved, he'd be very much interested in that.

Sean — LOVES to watch people wrestle. He's either laughing about someone getting their shit handed to them or screaming at the TV for one of the people to punch harder.

Bill — Dog shows!! He loves those dog competitions where people train their dogs to run around and complete the courses, always cheers a certain dog on like it's his own and like he's getting the prize money.

Hosea — Chess competitions. I also don't know how to explain this one much, but I feel like he'd enjoy learning to play/to get better at chess through watching others play it, making little notes on a paper.

Strauss — Gotta be those old people Bingo channels with like, live games. He tried making his own bingo cards and literally nobody wanted to play with him because they said it was boring—and that he did it all wrong :( Otherwise peepaw loves that stuff.

Josiah — He loves watching "[Country]'s Got Talent", any country really. As soon as he sees a magician come up, he instantly locks in to see if he knows the trick that person is trying to do, and he especially loves the dangerous stunt compilations on Youtube. Rewatches them on a daily.

Reverend — Mostly online church services and those live broadcasts of it. If not that, which he does daily imo, it'll be some drug documentary. (struggled with this one D:)

Charles — National Geographic Documentaries; do I need say more? It's how he mostly learns about wildlife, if you don't count books. That, or I feel like he'd enjoy watching Bear Grylls surviving in the wilderness.

Jack — Honorable mention for Jack, the Kratt Brothers.

the girlies:

Sadie — She's also into crime shows, and especially true crime. You can't watch it with her because she loves to comment on EVERYTHING happening in the show, stuff like calling the killers bastards and finding what the clues the police find mean before the people in the show do sometimes.

Tilly — I was unsure of this at first, but I feel like she'd enjoy either cooking or gardening shows, but I'm more leaning to the latter. Likes to learn about all the different plants, sometimes writes information down in case she wants to plant something herself.

Mary-Beth — You know she'd be big into drama series and all the different reality TV shows. I swear, she'd literally LOVE Croatian drama shows and series so much, on the edge of her seat the entire time, literally. That, or she loves cheesy romances, of course.

Karen — I don't know if you guys have this, but we have a show which roughly translates to "Marriage at first", where two people get married at first sight. You can say yes or no at the altar after you see them for the first time, and the show leads you through the upcoming two-three weeks before the wedding. She'd love that, would be judging the wedding dresses the women pick the entire time.

Molly — Watches sickly sweet romcoms to heal her poor, broken heart. Good for her. :(

Abigail — Watches whatever Jack wants to watch mostly, but if she's got free time to watch something herself, she'll mostly use drama shows as background noise. Somehow, I feel like she isn't big on watching TV, so like myself basically.

Susan — She reminds me so much of my grandma that I have to say Turkish drama shows. My grandma has to be in bed by 8pm sharp with her shows, and that is exactly how I see Susan😭

Aaaaa the Mine has a bit of its own thing going on followers-wise. About a year ago I watched a documentary about mine workers, and I got really fascinated with the way they talked about their daily routine. The gist of it is that the work in the mines has to continue 24/7, otherwise the oxidation process inside will grow and no one really wants that, BUT they didn't say it like I did just now, they talked about it as if the mine was a living thing. "It starts to suffocate if there is no one down there" they said. And it really gripped my brain and now in Tginf lore this situation is litteral.

The Mine needs to have followers doing work inside of her, otherwise she starts to suffocate, HOWEVER, she is quite toxic, and her followers don't live particularly long if they stay below with her. Thus she is in a constant need of the new ones. And while the King of the road, for example, likes to play in infrastructure and gives all of his followers (besides the Knight) made up townsfolk roles like Radio host and Diner worker, the Mine dedicates all of the people she gets to either staying with her or promoting the service to her to the passing travellers. They are all Promoters, just under the different numbers.

What I'm getting to - she is quite busy...well... surviving to indulge in a petty rivalry the King of the Road and the Oxygen have going on, and without this rivalry there would've never been more than one knight on the road in the first place. The King of the Road made his Knight because he is very physically fragile and was in need of protection. Oxygen on the other hand is the only feudal that never had to rely on anyone in her existence in pre canon, and could actually allow herself to make a living being out of thin air just for the kick of it, thus she made the Dummy even though she didn't had any actual need for him besides entertainment.

BUT I STILL LIKE YOUR IDEA A LOT and honestly this would be incredibly fun to design. The checkers theme is so cool and fitting im gnawing at walls thank you for this ask 😭😭😭 (and sorry for this ramble)

My Personal Spencer Reid Headcanons Part 2/? (Dad!Spence Edition)

He gets Derek to help him build a little bookshelf that can be completely dedicated to children's books

Reads every book on early childhood development he can get his hands on because he's a worry wart

GIRL! DAD! Although for me, I imagine he has a daughter first, then a son a few years later (mostly because I'm a first-born daughter and my brother is four years younger than me)

He does the thing where whenever his baby babbles or makes any type of noise, he responds with something like "Oh, really?" or "That's very interesting, tell me more" to help them build up their conversation skills

Fully commits to the bit during play time. Whether he's pretending to slay an imaginary dragon or falling over when hit with pretend magic, he'll do the absolute most to make his kids laugh

Would probably show up to work with his baby strapped to his chest in a baby carrier if it wasn't against FBI protocol to have a literal child in the same room as crime scene photos and multiple firearms

He'll carry his baby around and point out seemingly mundane things, but explain it to them in a way that makes it seem like the most interesting thing in the world. Especially with people, like he'll say, "See that pretty lady right there? That's your mommy, and she's the most wonderful person in the whole wide world."

He falls asleep with his kid on his chest all the time, especially after a rough case involving kids and he just needs to know that they're there and they're okay

Vehemently hates mindless children's programming, so he's definitely a nature documentary dad. Although he will allow Bluey, because he likes that it makes harder subjects easier for kids to digest while still being entertaining and fun

He gets his kids into puzzles as soon as their hand eye coordination develops, so whenever he's not on a case, he can usually be found at the kitchen table poring over a puzzle with his mini-me

Always hams it up with the voices when reading or telling his kids a bedtime story to make them laugh

He does magic tricks for his kids when they're babies just to see their eyes triple in size because their little baby brains don't have enough power to process what just happened

He cries whenever his kids copy what he does because it's too cute, whether it be mismatching their socks to match him, or calling you whatever sappy nickname he has for you like it's your name "because that's what Daddy calls you, and Daddy's always right"

Inhumanly fast at changing diapers. You once timed him, and he changed the baby's diaper and outfit in less than five minutes

He loves doing arts and crafts with his littles, and he loves it when they make something for him at school. Your fridge is positively covered in artwork, and whenever he swaps one drawing for another, he puts the old one in a memento box because he'll be damned if he throws away something his kid makes for him

He takes his kids to the park as often as he can to teach them how to play chess once they get old enough

Once you guys move to the suburbs away from all the light pollution, his favorite thing to do is to take his kids into the backyard, set up a little nest of blankets and pillows, and stargaze with them to teach them about all the constellations and planets

Sometimes he goes through little anxiety spats where he worries he's not cut out to be a dad, but the second his little one bursts through the door and yells, "DADDY, GUESS WHAT HAPPENED AT SCHOOL TODAY!!!!", every fear or doubt about his abilities melts away, and he jumps right back into World's Best Dad Mode™

Paul loves reading, as we know; he's in an LGBTQ+ book club that he really enjoys. He invites Carlos to it and Carlos finds it really meaningful; now they go together once a month! This isn’t a hobby, but in my mind Paul has two cats who he names Sherlock and Watson (because he is such a good detective). He loves playing with them and snuggling with them to read a book or watch a movie. He (and Carlos) tend to watch a lot of documentaries.

Random thought, but Paul would love going to escape rooms so he can get to use his detective skills. The Catan Crew would have SO much fun going to escape rooms together, although Paul and Carlos would figure out most of the clues. Carlos's hobbies include going for runs/exercising and cooking — he loves to experiment with new recipes, and TK is always happy to be his taste tester! 

We know from season 5 that TK is on a softball team! I think it’s not super competitive, mostly recreational, and that Nancy is on the team too. TK invited her to join because he wanted his paramedic bestie to get involved! She gained confidence after being crowned MVP in that Red vs. Blue game, and now it’s something they enjoy doing together, especially to unwind after long or emotionally difficult shifts.

I can see Nancy enjoying those painting and wine classes; she takes Mateo to one on a date. His painting is horrendous, but Nancy absolutely loves it and hangs it up on her wall because it reminds her of how much fun they had that night.

Marjan attempted to learn how to knit during the pandemic, but that did not last long. She was far too impatient and became easily frustrated. She only got like halfway through a lumpy, wonky scarf for Paul before she gave up and burned it. Marjan is very athletic, so I can see her being on a soccer team (since we know she did soccer when she was a kid, and she was really good at it!). And of course she has her roller derby!

Chaotic Academia for Broke Academics (AKA me)

As someone who wholeheartedly loves chaotic academia and its acceptance of messiness and peculiarity, but is sadly too broke to afford the style and too busy to do many of the things / extracurriculars I enjoy, I have accumulated a list of ways to enjoy the little subculture that has become academia without breaking your brain or bank :)

Look The Part / Decorations:

Collect pens, pencils, sharpies, and other school supplies from just about anywhere. Stack them in your desk drawers, inside little pots on your desk, or piled randomly in your backpack and pockets. If the pens and sharpies are all various colors that helps too. Annotate shit in pretty pink ink if you want!

Put pins on whatever bag you use for school. Loop cute keychains on it too if possible. Hot Topic, Spencers, and Etsy are good places for cheap-ish pins with witty sayings or dark humor. Put stickers on your computer / tablet / phone case. Same idea: dark, funny, witty, maybe puns.

Write and doodle on yourself. Put notes on your wrist, stars on your fingers, pretty words on your knee. This also helps if you can’t afford tattoos yet!

Stick stupid things to your walls. I have a mobile order receipt on my dorm wall from when my order number was 666. I used to cut off my name from Starbucks cups when the barista put a smiley face or a doodle and tape those to my wall.

Collect strange things and put them where you’ll see them. I collect Monster cans and Soda cans and stack them everywhere on my desk!

Get a simple ring, a simple chain necklace, or a simple bracelet. Wear it with everything. Rub it for comfort or when fidgeting so it shows wear and love.

Invest in a cute reusable water bottle, temperature controlled. Put stickers on it. Keep coffee, soda, juice, tea, or even water in it. Carry it everywhere. You look environmentally friendly and you can hit people with it if they give you trouble.

Go thrifting / antiquing. Look for clothes you like, obviously, but finding things with wear on them already gives a nice “messily put-together” look. Blacks, browns, beige, off-white, dark greens, and dark blues are all nice! Look for leather jackets, trench coats, hoodies, knitted sweaters, and cargo pants—all things that would probably be more expensive elsewhere. (I bought my trench coat for $5 at a yard sale and it turned out to be from Sach’s Fifth Avenue!)

Black jeans are your friend!

Black fingerless gloves are good for winter and just compliment most outfits.

Wear hoodies! Chaotic academia is about the messy side of academics, so look the part in a comfy hoodie! Pair with a chain necklace if you need something more put-together.

Paint your nails whatever color you want, but let it chip, let it be smeared. Get the polish on your hands.

Act The Part:

Keep detailed schedules that aren’t necessarily neat. Mix glitter pens with sharpie, write your assignments in multiple colors that have no reason. If you work best with neat schedules, then have colorfully coordinated lists with matching stickers. Keep a main schedule for classes and assignments, a second schedule for day-to-day micromanaging, and as many more as you need to remind you when to eat, drink, or exercise.

Have a workout routine at least once a week. Whether it’s going to the gym to walk on the treadmill while reading, taking a stroll around campus to jump in leaf piles or snow banks, walking up and down a stairwell while memorizing psychology / astronomy terms, or doing at home workouts in your room, just find something that you like to do to get yourself moving. Join a dance class or outdoor group if your school offers one for free too!

Watch crime shows / listen to crime podcasts. Old lawyer shows are also super fun!

Join some clubs related to the supernatural, film, Shakespeare, literature, or chess.

Watch psychological thriller movies then go watch videos on YouTube analyzing those movies.

Watch documentaries about space, disgusting history, fun conspiracy theories, the apocalypse, natural disasters, and literary theorists.

Read weird shit. Quote it often.

Listen to a wide variety of music! Listen to remixes!

Pirate everything.

Have a dedicated coffee order. Get it when you can. Savor it.

If you can study with music in the background then find classical music playlists, dark cello music, epic orchestral covers of songs, or soundtracks to movies and tv shows you like.

Doodle in your books and textbooks (if possible)

Write down random things you hear and see throughout the day. Save it all and use those things to write a poem or a story when you need inspiration.

Bruce, mutual info dumping about a cold case documentary we were watching together. I don't think he realised he was info dumping back at me.

Alfred, first time we played chess together. He didn't assume I didn't know how to play just based on my age, he asked if I wanted to and if I knew the rules and when I said yes to both, we just played. Still haven't beaten him, it's been three years.

Dick: That first trip to a photography museum in New York. We go every year now just to look at new exhibits and artists and spend some one-on-one time together.

Barbara: Hacking matches~ Something she came up with. We both make some kind of prize and then come up with various ways to defend it. And obviously we use spare laptops and hard drives and even virtual desktops and hard drives so we can be as mean as we like without compromising anything we actually use in our daily lives. And then we try to hack into each other's device to try and get that prize.

Jason: I never got the privilege of meeting Jason unfortunately. Waking up from a nasty bout of flu last year. Dick had to stay in Bludhaven that week for work and then later because he came down with something too so couldn't have made the trip anyway. But Jason was there. Checking on his temperature, making sure he took his meds on time, reading to him to help him sleep. If anything proved that Jason was changing for the better, it was that.

Robin is the ghost of a caveman who has lived on the grounds of the house the show takes place in for thousands of years, hes shown to be a bit rough around the edges and is generally a comic relief character. But hes also very intelligent and emotionally mature. His people had tools and families and traded with one another. After death he learns to speak french and english, but is more fluent in french. He loves to play chess against a man who died in the 90s and does win some of their matches. He loves playing tricks on people and studying space with a particular interest in the moon as, in life, it had a religious significance to him. He cares deeply for those around him, is very protective of others, and has some really sweet moments comforting other characters because hes been around so long hes seen it all and knows how to help.

They really nail him as a caveman character in the present, he watches documentaries on tv, he loves long walks in nature and animals, hes just like us.

Not pertinent to anything in particular but I do think it's kinda weird that we keep depicting cavemen in media crawling around on all fours covered in dirt with tangled, matted hair, speaking in broken, cobbled-together toddler language when like.

Connor Adams has always been the quiet one in a family full of big personalities.
