Hey, have you ever wanted a really high quality custom chemise?
My mother in law is retired and helps to support herself with a little Etsy shop. It’s located here!

She makes absolutely stunning period garb for the SCA and her workmanship is stunning.
(She made my beautiful tunic on the left)

She only has those three listings but I believe she’s open to custom historical garb orders. Check it out! She’s great!

been thinking a lot about the Layers in fashion during the 15th-16th centuries in europe... this is a highly inaccurate mishmash because i was just doing more or less the original design and put on some slashed sleeves lmao

Cotton flannel t-tunic/chemise
I used an old bedsheet and made it from one solid piece of material. Since I used a bedsheet, I was able to just utilize the hemming on the bottom and ends of the sleeves -minimal work! The collar and side seams are all hand sewn. It took about two days to complete.
This will be the base layer for most of my winter medieval outfits. Linen is most traditional, but technically cotton was available, it was just more costly (reverse of modern day). It's both soft and warm, perfect for cold weather!
