Note
We need a TD character who fights with the chef for the right to cook great food
Or just a TD character who's an extreme gourmet chef who thinks all the food on the show is a crime against humanity

Irondad fic ideas #152
Every year around the holidays, a "bug war" breaks out in the Parker-Stark households
Not bugs as in creepy crawlies. Technology bugs. Surveillance.
Tony and Peter are both determined to figure out what the other wants for the holidays
The two are on surprisingly even ground: Peter's spider-sense doesn't consider this a threat, and FRIDAY won't snitch. They both have to find any "bugs" the old fashioned way.
Bonus:
Soon enough the whole Ironfam is wrapped up in it. November and December become a time of yearly paranoia, everyone watching what they say and "checking for bugs."
Even Peter's friends discover tiny bugs on them. When Ned first learns the itty bitty robot behind his coat button is from Tony Stark trying to find out what he wants for Christmas he faints on the spot
Bonus 2, Crack Taken Seriously Boogaloo:
For a bit of drama: it's all fun and games until one year Peter gets kidnapped. The situation is bad. They only find him in time thanks to one of the "holiday bugs" Tony recently snuck on

Happy WBW! If you had to pick a chef/cook from one country/location in your setting to cook you a fancy dinner, where would you pick and why?
Will I be delving into one of the most niche corners of Honor's Outcasts for this? Yes I will
In book 2, Izjik and Djek get take-out from a goblin resteraunt run by an old broodmatron named Kutt ir Kana. Goblin food (in Earth terms) is like a sea-food heavy blend of Jamaican and Cajun cuisine. Staples include jerk crawfish (eaten by goblins with the shell on), blackened dolear (a cactus grown by dwarves similar in taste to a plantain), spicy catfish stew, okra curry, and coconut biscuits. It's all got a rather sweet-spicy taste to it and features lots of seared vegetables. I would eat this delicious meal where it's meant to be enjoyed; on the wharves of the trade city Nacé, watching the crowd after a hard day's work. Goblins tend to exist everywhere on Illaros, especially since their mother nation was co-opted into the Republic during the War of Conquest. Nacé is simply one of many places where they and their delicious food have gained a foothold.
Thanks for the ask, I always love talking about the more grounded aspects of cultures!

Gordon ramsay
Has anyone ever felt like gordon ramsey was a beginner to cooking at first then developing his cooking skills to be a great chef. No just me okay well it seems like everyone is saying Gordon ramsey was a great chef to begin with, but I feel like gordon ramsey was not a really..really good chef to begin with, I feel as though he had to start out cooking from the start in order to be an amazing chef. Im not hating on gordon ramsey im just stating a fact.

here's my food reviews from today:
so no photo for breakfast but i put some cut slices of ham on top of some mini croissants with a glass of orange juice
croissants with ham: 8.5/10
— the croissants were a little dry :(
orange juice: 9/10
— they barley gave me any!
overall: 8.75/10
Tumblr media
lunch was salmón a la plancha which is pretty much grilled salmon and you can see it came with fries
salmon: 6.5/10
— i've honestly had better, it was lacking a lot of flavor and honestly wouldn't have been good without the fries
fries: 8/10
— needed a bit more salt
overall: 7.25/10
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
dinner was a 3 course meal of potato salad, baked pork with patatoes:
potato salad: 2/10
— it was cold and had the nastiest fucking aftertaste, would never try again because i nearly didn't finish it :(
baked pork: 12/10
— my big back self are mine and my friends cause it was just soooooo good!!!
flan: 1/10
— hated it, never ever had flan this disgusting, honestly felt like a waste of desert.
overall: 5/10
