The best part of that one story where Gawain goes to China is the realization that I can now make him and Hua Mulan besties. They bond over cool swords and show off their horses like parents do baby pictures. Their sparring sessions are absolutely insane.

I unironically love following people who are bilingual and occasionally post in other languages. PP   has   become   my   lifeline   as   of   late   so   Jamie   is   getting   a   verse   as   well   ! Chapter   3   spoilers   ahead towards the end   !

Following   the   FNAF   6   location   incident,   Jamie   was   brought   in   to   be   gaslit   and   lied   to   by   their   therapists   and   subsequently   experimented   on   as   usual.   However,   this   time   it's   different!   This   time   they're   being   run   into   the   ground   by   Doctor   Sawyer   --   though   they   don't   know   his   name   when   they're   being   tested.   When   that   doesn't   work,   Faz   Ent   decides   to   cut   their   losses   and   send   them   to   a   facility   they're   partnered   with.   

Playtime   Co.

Now,   on   the   outside,   Playtime   Co.   seems   like   a   dream.   A   high   quality   facility   that   really   cares   about   people,   about   children,   and   about   the   quality   of   their   toys.   Still   shaken   up   from   having   to   deal   with   haunted   animatronics,   Jamie   delightfully   takes   the   offer   from   Playtime   Co.   and   agrees   to   work   there.

Jamie   is   kept   on   the   top   levels,   not   permitted   into   the   deeper   wings   but   not   really   minding   either.   Whatever   is   going   on   there   is   probably   just   Corporate   type   stuff,   though   they   were   incredibly   interested   in   coming   on   as   someone   to   offer   their   designs   to   the   company.   Which   is   something   they   brought   up   to   their   supervisor   while   being   shown   around,   to   which   they   laughed   fondly   and   stated   that   Playtime   Co.   is   always   looking   for   new   talent   --   fresh   meat!   

Jamie   didn't   realize   what   that   meant   then.

Jamie   works   there   as   a   supervisor   over   quality   control   and   is   very   specific   about   it.   Over   time,   I   think   they   may   have   felt   a   little   safer   about   going   to   visit   their   family.   Especially   because   they   weren't   aware   of   the   partnership   between   the   two   facilities   and   thought   perhaps   Faz   Ent.   was   simply   done   with   them.

The   Hour   of   Joy   occurs   while   they're   gone,   and   they   don't   understand   what's   going   on   when   they   return   to   work   their   first   day   back.   The   entire   place   is   blocked   off,   shut   down,   and   they   never   figure   out   what   happened   there.   What   happened   to   everyone.

But   they   have   a   sneaking   suspicion   it   isn't   as   simple   as   a   "gas   leak"   or   something.   

Years   later,   their   conscience   finally   getting   to   them,   they   decide   to   venture   back   into   the   facility   and   find   the   horrors   that   await   there.   Riddled   with   guilt,   they   head   in   deeper   and   deeper.   They   don't   exactly   trust   Poppy   at   first,   but   when   she's   yanked   away   by   that   strange   thing   their   conscience   won't   allow   them   to   just   wait   it   out   or   try   to   find   another   way   to   leave.   

Despite   how   rough   around   the   edges   they   are,   they   slowly   begin   to   realize   what's   going   on   here   and   the   deeper   they   go,   the   more   horrified   they   are   by   what   they   find.   The   words   spoken   by   Mommy   Long   Legs   in   the   Statues   game   haunts   them,   and   hits   them   deep.

"      ...   But   you   used   to   work   here,   if   anyone   deserves   to   die   it's   you.   "

Chapter   3   spoilers   ahead   !

Jamie   most   certainly   tries   to   save   DogDay   and   CatNap.   Desperate   to   help   them   and   distrusting   of   Ollie   in   spite   of   how   he's   helped   them.   It   takes   a   while   for   Jamie   to   trust   anyone   as   that   much   is   clear   but   it's   only   because   of   how   untrustworthy   other   people   have   proven   to   be.   

But,   as   time   goes   on,   and   they   see   the   tragedy   that's   unravelled   here   under   their   nose.   And   the   toys   look   on   in   hope   --   in   spite   of   the   massive   amount   of   imposter   syndrome   that   they   have,   they   decide   to   press   on.

After   the   DogDay   encounter   and   CatNap   bossfight   things   are   most   certainly   personal.   The   Prototype   is   something   most   likely   huge,   an   amalgamation   beyond   their   size   and   strength.   

But   they   have   to   try,   stubbornly   and   stupid   and   as   much   of   a   fools   errand   it   feels   like.   They   have   to   try.
