tallulah's team:

galarian weezing: this is a gift from wilbur! it's essentially a service pokemon for tallulah, as galarian weezing purifies the air around it, making it easier for her to breath

chimecho: tallulah's partner pokemon! i like to imagine they met when tallulah was playing some music by phil's house and they've been together ever since

carnivine: on the wiki it said that tallulah had several venus fly traps, so i decided to give her a carnivine! carnivine was one of the first pokemon she caught, with her and chayanne spending a long time staked out in a swamp to find one

eevee: my friend roleb suggested eevee! she really seems like she would have one aksjdfhlaksdf eevee and carnivine get along really well! no idea what it would evolve into though lol

flabebe: i think chayanne and tallulah found this flabebe injured during their journey and immediately got attached while nursing it back to health! more flowers for tallulah askjfhskladf

pumpkaboo: a gift from chayanne! i imagine she hangs out with pumpkaboo when she's feeling lonely

chayanne's team:

lechonk: he has this for technoblade related reasons aklsdfhlkasdfha

capsakid and farfetch'd: these two are together as they're both cooking themed pokemon! i imagine the farfetch'd was a gift from philza and chayanne just woke up one night to capsakid staring him down and was like yeah alright. farfetch'd also evolves into sirfetch'd, which is part of the little knight motif i wanted to have for chayanne

riolu: another suggestion from roleb! this is chayanne's main partner, and he's a very fighty lil guy

charcadet: knight motif part two! charcadet also provides some needed firepower for chayanne's team composition which is something i imagine chayanne is concerned about

absol: this is actually one of phil's pokemon! he sent it along with chayanne and tallulah to keep an eye on them because absol can sense danger

the plot of this au is tallulah and chayanne going on their pokemon adventure while dealing with the villainous federation. tallulah is doing concerts while chayanne goes through the gym challenge!

Philza knew his boyfriend was a horrible fighter, Missa was a pacifist not a fighter. Still, he couldn't help but be surprised when his boyfriend came screaming into ‘Casa bonita’ with a bunch of mobs following close behind him and his only weapon being a stick he surely found lying around.

‘PHIL!’ Missa's cry, who sounded utterly desperate, echoed across the island, ‘PHIL, MY LOVE, MY LIFE, HELP!’

Philza looked up from where he was helping Tallulah plant a couple of flowers, to see her boyfriend running like hell, with zombies, skeletons and creepers hot on his heels. The stick was nothing more than a prop, because his boyfriend was simply waving it like a flytrap around his head.

‘DEAR PLEASE!’ Missa shouted, stumbling up the steps to the entrance, barely managing to dodge a couple of arrows, ’I'M TOO CUTE TO DIE!’

‘It's literally death,’ she chuckled to Tallulah, grabbing her sword and shield to save her boyfriend, after all, what kind of knight would he be if he didn't save his damsel in distress.

‘It's literally death,’ repeated Chayanne, who had just arrived with a basket full of apples, only to see his dad Missa running in circles around Tallulah's garden, waving the stick as if shooing away flies.

‘PHILZA!’ Missa shrieked as a creeper got too close for her liking. ‘MY HEAVEN, MY KING, MY EVERYTHING, HURRY UP!’

Phil couldn't help but laugh as he ran to the rescue. It was funny how someone who could make the bravest warrior tremble with just his presence could be so dramatic over a couple of mobs. Tallulah watched from a safe distance, clapping her hands in excitement every time her dad Phil took down a creature.

‘MY HERO!’ Missa exclaimed, throwing herself dramatically into Phil's arms once the last zombie fell. ‘My brave knight, my prince charming, my-’

‘Papa Missa,’ interrupted Chayanne, 'you literally could have wiped them out just by thinking about it.'

‘Ah, but then your father couldn't show off,’ Missa replied with a wink, still hanging onto Phil's neck. ’Besides, have you seen how handsome he looks when he fights?’

Continuing on Fairytale Au (Primarily involving Knight Missa and Fae Phil)

1) Chayanne doesn’t have a mother. The plot twist will be that he is a changeling child Missa decided was his son. Missa knows this but let rumors spread that the mother left him or he had Chayanne out of wed lock. He loves Chayanne so much. Even if as a Fae child he is very much mischievous.

2) Tallulah meanwhile is the fae child Phil took under his wing as she is way too curious about humans for her own good. She eventually grows to love Missa as her father. She is sorta like a nature spirit for the poppy flower.

3) Not connected to the main story but I like to imagine Cellbit and Roier have a similar story to like the crane wife. Excerpt Roier was just a spider that asked BadBoyHalo (he is pretty much a more cute version of rumplestilkin) to be human to be with Cellbit. Roier is the best seamster in the land. Missa is good friends with Roier but also doesn’t know he is a spider.

4) Fitpac on the other hand I like to imagine it’s a parody on a princess being trapped in a castle guarded by a dragon. Pac is said unwanted prince who DOESNT want to be saved (ESPECIALLY if in this au the evil king is his dad). And Fit in the OG kingdom best knight that have been secretly working on a rebellion after Missa was sent away on a death mission. And he comes to save Pac. Mike is the half dragon guard. And both run away from the castle once all realize what is going on.

5) Bad is fully the rumpleskilskin of the AU. He is mischievous and a bit mean. He is a demon that makes heroes and heroines do impossible tasks. Example he tasked Missa to empty out a lake with just a spoon (luckily Phil helped him). Phil made a smaller lake (practially a puddle) to empty because bad didn’t say what lake just to empty a lake. Bad can only appreciate the loophole abuse. Fae are best at words never forget. From my friends: He wakes up to a little crow chirping at him, so he follows it to a clearing with a little pool in it labeled "A Lake", a lake that he easily clears out with the spoon nearby

6) Bagina is fully just gay little mermaid. Tina is a mermaid that wants to be human. And Bagina is an adventurer mapping out new lands. (This is a happy ending though)

wanted to let you know your transfem chayanne post has completely and utterly rewired my brain. i will be doing chores and it will pop up and that's all i'll think about for the next 10 minutes. oh i love her she's everything to me. something about both your role models being men and having this idea of warriors and knights being strong men and how it makes her feel like she can never be what her father wants her to be unless she fully dedicates herself to that role and what it implies. just so so good

theres also something to be said about ramón's masculinity, the fact his mustache not being real deeply upsets him, his early relationship with fit and how fit was early on that could be said but that's a different conversation entirely. just something i thought about while considering chayanne. living up to expectations and all that

oh i love it. the trans coding of them both just absolutely consumes my brain.

Chayanne already has all of this like. shame about not being enough like techno sometimes, not beinf strong enough to protect lullah or his family. It’s like hardwired into her being.

And by no fault of her family that morphed into feeling like she had to be exactly like phil and techno, her heroes, because the alternative wasnt an option. just take missa’s reaction to her forgetting spanish. what a way to accidentally reinforce that if she changes too much she might not be loved anymore

its not true of course but. shes just a kid.

i feel like shes also just a Pinch resentful of lullah sometimes. because of how very feminine she is. chay probably is more masculine and she likes Being that but often feels like she cant be a girl because Lullah is the way girls are supposed to be. Pretty and gentle and kind and like pink and purple (again; not accurate to all of lullah but)

so post coming out chay just jumps from one fearful need to be like One person to Another. bc god forbid she just be herself :(

Adventure time au stuff for funsies

Tallulah:

Tallulah was once a princess who was overthrown from her kingdom due to her being too young to rule it. Unfortunately she was overthrown by someone who was hungry for power, someone who became a tyrant that caused pain and suffering to her citizens. There was once a king, her father, but he mysteriously disappeared one day. No one really knows where he is now but Tallulah made it her mission to find her missing father so that he can once again take his rightful place as ruler of the mushroom kingdom(she also misses him too ofc).

Chayanne:

He is a warrior who looks for adventures and/or missions he can do. He isn't really experienced with these types of things and because of this, no one really trusted him to complete these missions. However eversince he befriended Tallulah, she was the one who is able to vouch for him which lead to more oppurtunity for adventures! Chayanne has a father that he gets to see every once in a full moon, he gets very excited whenever he meets him. He is aware of another father he has but he hasn't really met him yet. He hopes to see him one day though! He does have a mentor who teaches him how to fight in order to defend himself and others.

Additional notes:

Chayanne's mentor is actually his other father aka Phil, he's just isn't aware of it for some reason and I find this funny.

Tallulah never really believes that Missa exist(the moon dad) at first. The first time she met him was the only time he happens to be late to their little meeting.

Chayanne is a biiig risk taker whenever he's out on adventures.

Tallulah appointed Chayanne as her knight since she knows Chayanne wanted to be a cool knight. This made Chayanne prioritize her safety more than his own.

Flippa - the hearts on her shirt changing depending on the lives she has. Where like a layer sweater shirt combo but specificly the sweater sleeves looks like the trans flag, the shirt looks like charlie and her skirt is yellow to match with Mariana

Chayanne - with neopolitin hair is really cute, hes the ONLY canon blondy to me and it stand on that, my favorite little warrior.

1st variant of Minecraft Diaries x QSMP crossover.

qMariana is Aphmau, Juanaflippa is Levin and qCharlie is Laurance

Mariana just kinda appeared outta nowhere and Juanita got left at his door and as the Lord of the Quesadilla Village he just fuckin' had to keep her until he found her mother

on said adventure he meets this very pretty guy who for reason has really long green hair and pieces of slime on him like HUH? AND HE'S FLIRTING WITH HIM?? AND HE COMES OVER TO VOUCH FOR HIS INNOCENCE ALONG WITH HIS OWN KNIGHT FOOLISH?

okay and now he has a fucking Wyvern and offered to give him a ride? fuck yesss, but honestly even if he wants to jump this man's bones like every other bitch but he has a kid to take care of! and a village! also Foolish is kinda hot and Charlie is a knight for another village

Mariana just looks like his normal self, some people question the outfit but he doesn't really know either

Charlie's outfit is exactly like Laurance's, but his hair is Green because his childhood friend, aka. Wilbur Soot, and who he considers his brother, dyed his hair and disappeared before he could change it back

Charlie ended up having to take care of Tallulah, Wilbur's daughter. Phil, the new Lord of Meteli also takes care of her and his other son, Chayanne. Missa is his guard.

Quackity takes Sasha's role, having died and turning into a Shadow Knight. Tilín disappeared after his death and Charlie is still working on trying to find them.

when Mariana goes to save the Chicken Shaman, aka. Maximus, Charlie sacrifices himself to save them, hoping for Maximus to turn Wilbur back to himself

he gets raptured and turned into a Shadow Knight, where he sees Quackity as Sasha, Luzu as Gene and someone else (i have yet to figure out who should be Vylad. )

Mariana is honestly fucking devastated that Charlie is in the Nether with no help and no way to come back, until he sees him while on a trip with Juanita. Charlie wanted to reach out to Mariana and hug him and kiss him, but he couldn't. the rage imbued in him by the Shadow Lord making it also impossible from pulling out his sword and gutting Mariana, the last Lord he served. but seeing little Juana there, staring at him with big bright eyes and a smile, reminded him of Tilín and Tallulah. it broke his heart and he fled, afraid of hurting the poor child.

when Mariana later finds Charlie, blind, hurt and nearly on death's door with the wyvern, Cucurucho (yes Cucurucho bc qCharlie's interactions with it are funny and adorable and sad) suddenly turned dark and disappearing

Wilbur, now turned normal thanks to the combined efforts of Vegetta (Zoey) and Cellbit (Kawaii-Chan), came to visit and Mariana left to give them space, but thennnnnnn

the High Priest, Rubius, is outside his tattered house which was blown up by Leo (Zenix) while he was on his adventure for the mother of Juanita. threatening Charlie

yaddi yaddi yada, story goes as normal y'know, except arguments and love between Charlie and Mariana and jealousy with Charlie over Foolish and Mariana

now misc facts about this version of this AU go! -> Charlie is a slime elemental and human hybrid. Mariana is still Lady Irene and i guess a reincarnation? Aaron doesn't exist in this version. Tilín takes Malachi's role, having died and become a ghost with the same fear powers, but Charlie takes them in instead of Mariana. Roier is Dante. Donna and Logan are Forever and Bad respectively. Jaiden is Kiki, and Fit is Brendan. Emmalyn's role is taken up by Baghera. Lucinda is Etoiles and Nicole is Melissa. yes. no, it doesn't make sense. yes, i know.

Charlie, instead of being greedy and mean, is very friendly and weird and quite diabolical, a slime hybrid. when he gets turned into a werewolf, it messes with his slime and instead transforms him into and eldritch mix of werewolf, slime and demon with too many limbs, too many eyes and teeth and claws, too much fur and goop and,,,, tentacles? goo goobie bitches

Mariana is a nurse who got moved into the "Babe House", and after seeing the hot buff merchant, he's very much into it and wants to become a sugar baby, but instead falls in love and gets married. mission failed successfully?

their relationship is very much playfighting and joke arguments that seem a bit too real for others. they are madly in love and have done el sexo de grande multiple times. even with Charlie in monster form. Charlie gets ruts btw– *gets shot*

when they get kidnapped, Charlie fights tooth and nail to keep Mariana safe, at the expense of his health. he's near death when rescued by the Lord, and frantic in going back to Mariana

Flippa, the lone survivor of the murder of her tribe, later found by Charlie, instead of the Lord of his village. he takes her in and treats her just like he would his own biological daughter

then when he sees Mariana again, reencuentro el sexo de grande

when they go back home, Charlie goes back to his job and dotes on his brand new daughter and his bitch wife like no other, it's sickening how much he adores his family

and during the war, Charlie stays behind to fight, wreaking havoc against his opponents. and during the 15 year time-skip, he waits for Mariana patiently, sitting at the docks like dog waiting for its owner. when he comes back with Flippa, Charlie almost tackles them into the ocean with how happy he was, crying with Flippa about missing each other and kissing Mariana breathless

the Backflippo family is one of the few who stayed at the village. Charlie is one of the few people who are capable of fighting off the bandits easily, along with the help of Juanaflippa, but he has to he away to keep getting more resources and food to keep everything ok and running

Mariana starts a garden at the wish of Juanita, giving them to Charlie to sell and Juana to make crowns of and press them. he farms as well and makes sure everyone stays healthy, rasing Juanita while Charlie is off doing business and exchanging letters with him almost every single day, sending them talking about their days and how they're doing while away

they're so in love your honor

Juana is very hyper and very energetic, practically hounding Charlie to play and teach her how to be a werewolf every time he's home. whenever that happens Mariana takes a big big nap and enjoys whatever gift Charlie brought back

I am a renfaire, dnd, high fantasy nerd. I haven't read all the classic high fantasy books, but I love dnd, and when I can't make it to the ren faire for a season I get really upset (Im planning on going next saturday :D ) And I have thoughts on what eggs/ certain parents would wear to a ren faire, so indulge me for a bit. I'll start with Tallulah/Death family since she won the QSMP 'which egg would' poll (Hi im the one that submitted it :P)

Tallulah would totally wear the classic lace up loose front dress in purple like she's wearing in the lovely edit by 'qsmp where they shouldn't be'. I imagine that she is wearing black flats and still has the mushroom hat. Fully embracing the cottage core vibes.

Chayanne I think would be casual. like a loose white shirt, comfortable pants and a colored over shirt to go over the long sleeved white one. either that or techno cosplay (something I actually saw at a renfaire a few years ago and it was super cool)

I think Phil and Missa would also go in costume, but a similar chill vibe to Chayanne. nothing too fancy. Phil would have a green long sleeved loose shirt with black accents, and Missa would have a similar one but in purple. Phil would have the Robin Hood style hat with a Crow feather in it, while I think Missa would still rock the skull mask.

Now Morning crew >:) (I have so many thoughts)

Sunny and Em would be the reason almost everyone goes in the first place. (mostly Sunny)

Sunny would insist on going in a full orange princess dress with a crown to match, She would like it to be floor length but renfaire is outside and as much as she likes working with her pa, she doesn't want her dress to get ruined so it's just off the ground.

Em similar to Tallulah goes full cottage core. A light pink and tan dress, with some small fairy wings for fun. she decorates her hair with fake flowers and leaves.

Richas would go full fantasy. He would rock up looking as much like a dragon has he could. Painted and made it himself (with some help but mostly himself)

(All three of them beg for face paint when they see it. Sunny gets another crown on her forehead (cause you can never have too many crowns) and Em would get an owl on her cheek, and Richas would get a dragon.)

Ramon would go as a knight, simply cause Sunny asked. Not the full thing, but he has the sword and shield, along with a (fake, like a plastic or something) chain mail shirt, that ends around where a T-shirt would.

Fit would also go as a knight because he's Sunny's body guard. He has a bit more of the heavy gear, having his chain shirt go to his elbows, and be made out of a light metal. He also has the sword and shield matching with Ramon. He would still sport the green cape scarf thing. (Also this man would hunt down the turkey leg stand and get two to slit with the group.)

Pac would be super excited to go at the first mention, and immediately run to his closet to grab an outfit. He would wear a long blue shirt with black pants and boots. For props he would have a hip quiver and a bow.

Tubbo would be really reluctant at first, but eventually decided to go. He would fully put sunny in charge of his outfit. He would get a long kings cape and a crown (a princess's dad *has* to be a king) He would also get the white under shirt treatment, but he would also just wear his tennis shoes. (Upon arrival he would immediately get jealous of all the steam punk people walking around but not want to disappoint sunny. He promised himself that next year he would make the coolest steam punk outfit and put everyone else to shame)

Bagi would have long white underdress with a forest green over skirt. The sleeves would be off the shoulder, and she would have a belt with a knife sheath cause you can never not be prepared. Her hair would be in a half up half down style the 'half up' being a braid.

Mike goes wearing his normal clothes, but richas convinces him to get his face painted, so he gets the same dragon design as Richas.

Bad and Dapper go in full plague doctor gear and you can't tell me im wrong. They would walk around and tell people plague facts like they were there and try to heal people from it. If you let them they would give you some poesy to put in your pocket to keep the illness at bay.

Philza’s wings twitched slightly from nervousness as he watched from the kitchen as Techno introduced Ranboo to Chayanne and Tallulah, he’d been in the middle of preparing lunch when they got the call that their, more so Techno’s, adoption of Ranboo went through and that they could pick him up that day. They’d already had Ranboo’s room setup, at least partially, so Techno had gone to pick up the young enderian while Philza watched over his kids as they played in the yard. From what he could tell, they’d been playing some sort of ‘princess and her knight’ game, though Philza was a little far away to hear anything they were saying.

And then Techno got back with Ranboo and had called the two over towards him so that he could introduce the nervous preteen. Had Philza not known his best friend as well as he did, he would have missed the tell tale signs that the great Technoblade was nervous. Philza was too, but he’d gone with Techno a few times to meet Ranboo and Philza had the strongest feeling that the three would get along… But Philza was a father at heart and he would always worry.

The slightest drop in Techno’s shoulder and the slightest glint in Techno’s eyes had Philza smiling. He watched as Chayanne jumped forward to grab Ranboo’s hand, and while they appeared nervous to follow the two kids, a glance back at Techno let them calm down enough. They could set up their room with the things they’d brought in a little bit. Until then, Techno was making his way towards the house with a slight smile on his face as Ranboo followed the two smaller children.

Philza could even see Tallulah begin teaching Ranboo a few of the common signs that she uses. They looked a little overwhelmed, which would concern Philza if Ranboo didn’t also look a little excited. He turned back to his task of preparing lunch as Techno made his way inside; the feeling of relief nearly dripping off of Techno as he made his way to the kitchen.

“Relieved?” Philza teased lightly, glancing over his shoulder towards his friend. Techno gave him a look which only earned a laugh from the Avian as Philza turned back to his task. Techno grumbled lightly as he sat at the table, in perfect view of the wall that the two had worked hard on over the summer to turn into a window-wall. He was watching over the three kids like a nervous parent, or uncle in the case of Chayanne and Tallulah. It was amusing to say the least, seeing his friend like that.

“I didn’t think they’d allow the adoption to go through.” Techno admitted quietly after a few minutes of silence. Philza paused in his movements, a tilt of his head as a noise of confusion escaped him.

“Why not?”

“I’m part Piglin, Phil,” Techno sighed, a sadness in his eyes that was dimmed by the happiness whenever he glanced out the window to see the kids playing. Philza did too, occasionally, finding that Ranboo was picking up on some of the signs quickly, mainly the basics of ‘yes’, ‘no’, ‘sorry’, ‘please’, and spelling out Tallulah’s name. Ranboo was incredibly intelligent, Philza noted. Philza himself took months before he had a good number of the basics down after adopting Tallulah.

“Being a hybrid does not make you a bad person, Tech.” Philza told him, turning and smiling at him. “You are an amazing uncle to Chayanne and Tallulah, something of which people all over town have seen. You’ll be an amazing parent to Ranboo if that’s the route that Ranboo chooses to go with you.” Techno seemed a little reassured after Philza spoke, so that was a good thing. “Now, how was the ride back from the agency?” Philza asked, getting a snort from Techno.

“Filled with questions.” Techno mused; Philza laughed lightly as he finished up lunch. He’d call the kids inside in a few minutes, he wanted to hear more about the car ride first. “They were nervous about their stuff, apologizing for perceived slights through conversations, asking about rules, asking more about Chayanne and Tallulah, and asking about schooling.” Techno’s head fell back. “I didn’t realize how much went into taking in a kid, Phil.”

“Good thing you’re not alone then, yeah?” Philza teased. He knew that should Techno have been alone, he would have been just fine with Ranboo. Techno glared, playfully, at him anyways. “I’m gonna call the kids in for lunch, you want to get Ranboo’s things?” Phil asked, and Techno nodded slightly as he glanced back at the window.

“Yeah, actually, I’ll call them in when I go out for Ranboo’s stuff.” Techno pushed himself up, glancing at what was made and making a hum of satisfaction. Philza rolled his eyes with a smile as he turned back towards the window and watched over the kids. Chayanne was clinging to Ranboo’s back, a bright smile on his face, and Ranboo was sitting with Tallulah in front of them, braiding flowers into her hair.

They three glanced up at Techno’s voice carried through the air, and Chayanne was quick to release Ranboo and begin running towards the house, though Ranboo walked beside Tallulah as she held their hand, looking up at them and asking questions. Philza smiled as he noticed that Ranboo wasn’t hiding their tail, which was flicking about behind them almost like a cat’s.

Philza could see Ranboo asking Techno a question, could nearly hear it though not quite. Chayanne barrelling into the house stopped Philza from hearing Techno’s reply.

“Having fun out there?” Philza asked, chuckling as he moved to grab the plates to put at the table. Fruit salads with a fruit dip that he remembered from childhood. And there was some added animal crackers on the side since he knew the younger two liked them. He hoped Ranboo did too, though Philza was sure that Tallulah and Chayanne would share Ranboo’s portion if they didn’t want any.

“Yeah! Ranboo’s super smart and he-they are really good at braiding hair.” Chayanne explained, a smile on his face as Ranboo and Tallulah made it into the room, both looking happy. Philza smiled at them and motioned for everyone at the table.

“Really good at braiding hair, huh?” Philza smiled, which Ranboo flushed about. It got Tallulah excited though, and she started rambling about Ranboo braiding her hair, and the flowers and the meanings that Ranboo knew about them. Every so often Chayanne chimed in, though the three were eating happily.

“Llulah, remember to eat.” Philza told her when she took a moment to stop and breathe. She smiled and nodded as she kneeled on her chair. Ranboo was flushed bright red, though there was a smile on their face as they ate their salad, and the animal crackers much to Tallulah and Chayanne’s playful disappointment.

Philza was moving about the kitchen, making sure that the kids had something to drink, and waving off Ranboo when they offered to help with anything.

“You just eat, mate. The kids are probably going to drag you back outside to play afterwards.” Phil was happy that the kids were in fact getting along. He’d be able to reassure Techno even more afterwards.

Ranboo was nervous about going back outside to play, but Tallulah wanted to hear his stories about the clouds that they’d hinted at earlier, and Chayanne also seemed interested in hearing them. Which is how they’d found themselves back outside after eating lunch, which was the first thing they’d had all day, having accidentally missed breakfast that morning.

They found they quite liked fruit salads, and the animal crackers were a fond memory from childhood. Ranboo huffed lightly as the three of them laid out in the yard, though they were hesitant on the slightly damp grass. They were careful as the kids laid down beside him, their heads all near each other in a circle like formation.

For the briefest moment, it wasn’t Tallulah and Chayanne laying down beside them and it wasn’t just two people laying next to him; it was three others and they were all laughing and arguing over what clouds looked like or about the stories over the stars. Though they pushed that memory away as Tallulah asked about their stories.

“Well, what does that cloud look like,” Ranboo asked, pointing up at a cloud. Tallulah made a noise as she stared at it.

“It looks like… a mountain!” Tallulah decided. It was probably the angle that Tallulah was laying at, because to Ranboo it looked more like a bowl, but they would go with her decision.

“Well, what lives on a mountain?” Ranboo asked. This time it was Chayanne that answered.

“They can, yeah.” Ranboo hummed, mind racing to think of a story. “Well, I have a story about a dragon, but I just… can’t seem to think of a name for this dragon, do either of you two have a name?” Ranboo asked, a smile slowly pulling itself onto their face. Both kids hummed as they tried to think of a name before the other.

“Lily!” Tallulah finally decided on, “A dragon named Lily!”

“Lily? That’s a lovely name.” Ranboo hummed, and Tallulah made a noise as if she was happy. “Well, Lily lived on a mountain where it snowed often. She had two eggs that were close to hatching.” Ranboo’s eyes watched the moving clouds, he spotted a cloud that looked almost like a stick. “One day she woke up and found that one of her eggs was missing!” Tallulah gasped as Chayanne made a noise, though Ranboo couldn’t tell what it meant.

“Yeah, missing! She woke up and found that she only had one egg.” Ranboo scrambled to figure out a reason for the egg being missing as they spoke. “Upset over one of her eggs being missing, she panicked and looked around her nest, had she accidentally knocked it from her nest as she was laying down the night before? Has someone managed to sneak up on a dragon and take her egg from her?” Ranboo found themself getting into the story.

“But no one can sneak up on a dragon!” Chayanne groused.

“That was what Lily thought too,” Ranboo nodded. “She looked everywhere for her egg, though taking care to not stray too far from her nest, as she didn’t want to lose her second egg too. She wasn’t able to find her egg… until the squeaks of a baby dragon filled the air.”

“The egg hatched!” Tallulah sounded excited, Chayanne making a noise of similar agreement. “Oh, what’s the baby dragon? Can we name the baby dragon?” Tallulah asked excitedly.

“Yeah, can we?” Chayanne joined his sister in begging Ranboo.

“Well, you better think of two names quickly. Soon after Lily found her baby, she heard the sounds of her other egg cracking!” Ranboo told them, their voice doing something weird, it was almost changing in pitch in a childish way.

“Hmm….” Tallulah made a noise of concentration as Ranboo thought about the next course of the story. He spotted a cloud that reminded him a bit of a shell, although a weird looking one.

“What about… Oh! Shelly!” Tallulah decided, “Chayanne, you pick a name!” Ranboo could see Tallulah roll over, and they could guess that Tallulah was poking Chayanne, given that he laughed and Ranboo heard the light sound of a hand being lightly smacked away.

“Okay, okay… What about…” Chayanne made a noise. “Poppy! Shelly and Poppy! Shelly is like Ranboo though!” Chayanne decided, and Ranboo felt a warmth as they turned their head and smiled at Chayanne.

“Poppy’s like you then!” Tallulah decided, laying back down and staring up at the sky.

“Okay, so we have Lily and her babies, Poppy and Shelly,” Ranboo had a small recap of the characters. “And after Poppy and Shelly were born, they were mighty curious. Stumbling everywhere and trying to learn everything that they could. It left Lily chasing after them with laughter as she herded her children to stay in safety, most of the time she didn’t want them to leave the nest.”

“Until one day, Shelly had managed to find their way down the mountain, with Poppy chasing after them as Lily chased after him.” Ranboo laughed lightly.

“Where was Shelly going?” Chayanne asked curiously.

“Shelly had spotted a sandy terrain nearby their mountain and had wanted to go see what it was. It was a beach, but Shelly didn’t know what a beach was.”

“What did Shelly find at the beach? Did Shelly reach the beach?” Tallulah asked.

“Shelly found a friend in a sea turtle.” Ranboo answered, a smile on their face. “And that Sea turtle was named Luna.” Ranboo had decided on that name themself, which seemed to suit both kids fine.

“What was Luna doing?” Tallulah asked.

“Luna was learning how to swim so she could join her family in the ocean, however, Luna was scared of the water.”

“Luna the sea turtle was scared of the water?” Chayanne asked in confusion.

“Yeah, but Shelly and Poppy wanted to help her. Lily was also nervous about the water, it wasn’t something she was used to being around. She’s a dragon, she flys, she does not swim. However, she watched carefully, fully ready to intervene if her hatchlings needed help, as her babies helped Luna be not afraid of the water.” Ranboo explained.

“Can dragons swim?” Chayanne asked, Talluah made a noise like she was excited.

“Yes! Some dragons can, some dragons are made for the water, right Ranboo?” Tallulah asked.

“Yeah, some dragons can. And the other dragon parent was in fact a water dragon! So Shelly and Poppy were able to swim, and found that they loved swimming. They helped Luna get over her fear of water, and they got to learn that they loved shells found in the ocean. They brought back one for Lily before she herded them back up the mountain.” Ranboo attempted to finish the story.

“Awe, I love that!” Tallulah cheered. “What did you think Chayanne?”

“I liked the story, but is-are they able to do another story about a cloud?” Chayanne asked, Ranboo was nervous for a moment before realizing that Chayanne was teasing them.

“I can certainly try, it’s been a while since I’ve done this.” Ranboo answered. Ranboo laughed as the two urged him to continue telling stories as they used the clouds for reference and ideas.

They spent most of the afternoon like that, which Tallulah and Chayanne happily retold to Phil and Techno when they went inside for dinner that night. Ranboo found that they were going to be feeling embarrassed and happy for quite a few days, if this was how the kids were like all the time.

Spending the evening inside near the fireplace was also a bonus, as apparently, Ranboo was much more allergic to water than they’d originally thought. They weren’t allowed back outside for now.

Life in the nursery has always been quiet for Missa, it was him, the soft little rag doll, Roier, Cellbit and Bagi, the spider and kitten stuffed animals in little clothes, Maximus, a little wooden horse, and Mariana and Charlie, a Barbie and Ken, well until Chayanne came home to his little girl, Tallulah, and brought with him Etoiles, Pierre, Antoine, and Baghera, an army of little wooden soldiers, Foolish, a big rubber shark, Philza, an action man, and Vegetta, a stuffed wolf.

In Missa's simple opinion, the boy toys were savages, lacked manners, and never minded his delicate seams, well maybe almost all of them except Vegetta, the wolf was a true gentleman.  

Chayanne was an energetic and chaotic boy, always creating passionate stories, tales of pirates, intergalactic ships and knights in shining armour, Philza was always the hero of those adventures. 

Now that Chayanne and Tallulah were playing together, Missa found himself being the helpless victim more and more often. Missa didn't mind because he usually sat comfortably in his little chair and waited to be ‘rescued’ by Philza, but the knight was anything but a gentleman.  

‘Watch out!’ shouted Chayanne, as he slammed Philza's hard plastic body into Missa's rag, making popping sounds, ’I've come to save you Missa!’ 

‘Chay! Missa is a little rag doll,’ Tallulah shouted back, snatching the doll from her brother's hands, ’you have to be careful with him.’ 

Missa felt the warmth of the little girl's hand caressing her rag doll skin, and if his smile wasn't stitched, he would have smiled wider.

‘If you want to play with me, you play the way I want,’ the boy told her, for all the mother-of-pearl buttons, how rude boys were, Missa thought. 

Philza lay on the ground, unmoving and oblivious to the fight, but Missa could swear the knight's plastic was itching to spring into action, to jump up, stand at attention, shout ‘hangar’ and draw his sword. 

Tallulah stroked the woollens on Missa's head, ignoring her brother for now, his girl smiled at him, and murmuring said, ‘Ignore them Missa, I'll take care of you.’ 

Though he could not answer her, Missa felt it. Tallulah's words were like a silent promise that echoed inside him. Every time the girl treated him with such affection, Missa felt lucky to be her favourite toy, safe from the turbulent and frantic stories that Chayanne and Philza brought with them.

‘Kids, dinner!’ That was one of the children's parents, that meant bedtime was approaching and everyone's favourite part of the day in the nursery toys was beginning. 

‘Come on, Tallulah!’ shouted Chayanne, quickly forgetting the squabble. 

‘I'm going to say, good night, first.’ Said Tallulah, Ay, coloured threads, at last, thought Missa.

‘Ugh!’ How rude, ’Girls, always so sentimental.’ Said the boy then ran off to the dining room. 

Tallulah picked Philza up off the floor, ‘Sorry, Sir Philza, my brother isn't very careful, but don't worry, you can spend the night with Missa, he's soft.’ 

Tallulah set them both down on a little bed, ‘Goodnight Missa, goodnight Philza.’ Said the girl, giving each of them a kiss on the forehead. 

‘Good night, Cellbit, Bagi and Roier,’ said the girl, changing them into their nightclothes and tucking them into their beds. 

‘Good night, Maximus, tomorrow morning I will bring you more hay.’ Said the girl, combing the mane of the wooden horse. 

‘Good night, Mariana and Charlie,’ the girl tucked the plastic dolls into their doll house. 

‘Good night, Etoiles, Pierre, Antoine, and Baghera, you can rest now, soldiers.’ Said the little girl, taking off their little hats and putting away their weapons. 

‘Good night, Foolish, may you dream of little fishes.’ Said the girl, stroking the shark's fin.

‘And good night, Mr. Vegetta,’ said the little girl giving the wolf's fur a kiss, ’have a nice night and sweet dreams, little toys.’ The little girl said goodbye. 

As the little girl stepped out of the nursery, the toys came to life.

A Kinder World AU- Part  9

Jaiden, Roier, and Bobby’s House

Jaiden is a lawyer who inherited her grandfather’s house in Quesadilla after his death, Roier is the town’s resident therapist, and Bobby is Roier’s little brother and their bestest chingon. Together they fight crime live a happy life. 

1) Bobby is a hyperactive kid with a lot of energy to burn and two very busy platonic co-parents who both work a fair bit of the week. As such, he often spends large chunks of each day playing in the yard outside his house- soccer, hop scotch, jump rope, you name a sport and he’s at least tried it, sometimes to limited success. His favorite activity to blow off steam is to play knights and dragons with his friends, taking up his silver cardboard sword with Juanaflippa and Richarlyson to defeat the evil dragons, Tilin and Chayanne, with Tallulah as the princess to rescue and Ramon and Dapper as the evil space wizards, choosing to help or hinder as they please. They’ll sometimes even pull in passing Quesadilla citizens if they have the time. Not that anyone understand the full story, mind you, but the kids sure seem to be having fun.

2) Some days, however, Bobby feels a little more quiet. On such days, he’ll walk down to the water and settle into the sand with his sketch book, given to him by Jaiden for his birthday. There he sits and sketches the boats of his friends and family as they enter and leave and cross paths with each other. On days when he’s particularly lonely or sad, he’ll sometimes spend the whole day drawing so he’ll have a complete collection of every boat that passed him by that day, that he’ll later present to his parents to tell them what they missed. Jaiden loves to encourage his hobby, bringing him expensive paper and pencils from the mainland after her business trips as an apology for her absence, but Bobby prefers the printer paper and sharpies Roier gives him to distract him during telehealth calls when he brings the kid with him to work.

3) Jaiden and Roier are partners in a purely platonic sense, and have separate bedrooms so that they each have a space of their own. Jaiden is in the master bedroom in the main part of the house with Bobby and Roier stays in the tower so as to avoid waking anyone with his nightmares. When Roier first fled to Quesadilla town with Bobby and Spreen, the town had a vote to see if they would be accepted into the community, then another to debate where the then-teens and kid would stay. Jaiden, feeling lonely in her big house by herself, decided to take in Roier and Bobby, with Fit taking in Spreen. Moving Roier into the tower was easy enough but it took a long time for him to actually sleep there, instead crashing at the kitchen table, a sleep deprived mess from nightmares and trying to finish his degree (and sometimes nightmares about said degree). Even still Roier likes to creep down from his tower and sleep elsewhere some nights, but Jaiden refuses to ask him about his escapades. If he wants to tell her, that's his choice and she'll let him keep his secrets if that makes him feel safe enough to stay.

4) Jaiden's job as a lawyer is incredibly stressful and having a hyperactive kid running around trying to make a mess of things makes life... Difficult. Especially when it falls to her to tell Bobby that certain papers are for leaving alone, not for drawing on. When life gets to be too much, she climbs up on the roof and sunbathes for a while, baking herself until she feels better. She'll also destress by visiting Los Casualonas with Roier, buying a drink or three from the bar tender, Cucurucho, and enjoying whatever live music is playing that night. When Jaiden and Roier go together, he often ends up dancing and that always brings a smile to her face. Watching other people be happy is a guilty pleasure of hers because if she can't be happy, then making others feel good is the next best thing. These days, however, Roier has gotten to be much better at reading her mood, as has Roier's crush Cellbit. She's not sure how to feel about that.

5) While Roier's tower is oddly barren, the downstairs is richly decorated with things Jaiden's grandfather kept around the home. Done up in hues of rich red and deep blues and greens, the interior looks like it's been pulled right from the ages when top hats and tailcoats were a thing. Jaiden hates it and initially only kept it that way because her grandfather loved the decor, but with Roier and Bobby now with her, she's been using their presence as an excuse to renovate. Currently, the only room completely finished is her own, now done up in hues of pale purple with paintings and giant plushies everywhere. When the never ending peacock hues get to be too much for Bobby, he goes on a "break everything" spree, something that both parents tolerate with fond amusement. Anything broken is just something to be replaced with something better- unless someone gets the bright idea to make a replacement instead. Usually to mixed results.

6) The house itself is divided up into Roier’s tower, Jaiden’s bed room, the living room (currently taken up to act as Bobby’s bedroom and the focal point of the house), one bathroom, Jaiden’s office-cum-closet, and a well-loved kitchen. Much of the house is too fancy to be used casually but slowly Jaiden and her new family are working on making the house into a home, even if that means making a bit of a mess in the process. The kitchen is her current project of choice, where Roier is attempting to teach her to cook. While the man is a dab hand at anything greasy, sweet, or Mexican-themed, his skills leave much to be desired outside that unless he has a cookbook on hand- something that Jaiden not only lacks, but has mistakenly used for kindling in the living room’s fireplace. Not that she ever used to begin with, having been borne with the rare ability to set fire to boiling water when trying to cook. The duo muddle along regardless and most times, the food they make ends up tasting pretty good! The one casualty, however, is the kitchen, but it’s not like they were too hung up on it remaining white and clinically clean anyway.

7) Jaiden’s work as a lawyer keeps her very busy and as such, she’s often pulled away from Quesadilla to complete trials and other duties on the mainland for her clients. She focuses mainly on being a defense lawyer, but all Bobby understands is that his new mama is a hero who protects people. It’s the only reason he tolerates her frequent absences at all, and even then he’s prone to tantrums whenever she has to board her motorboat with her briefcase and backpack and leave for another week or two. At best he waits for her at the dock to see her off, at worst he’ll run away and force her to track him down. Roier despairs too, but it’s much quieter, hidden with forced smiles and witty banter until his platonic partner is too busy laughing to notice how awful he feels about being left behind again. Jaiden knows enough about Roier’s past to feel guilty about having to leave but it’s primarily her salary that the family lives on so she just has to suck it up and cry it out into her pillow at night. Whenever the family is together it feels like nothing could ever go wrong, and when they’re apart it feels like the world has suddenly gone grey. It scares the duo, sometimes, how quickly they fell together, sliding into place like puzzle pieces, but they wouldn’t trade for anything, ever- being whole and happy and able to trust that someone will be there to catch you when you fall is addictive after all. They just need  practice stretching beyond each other to find other people to call home.

Clears my throat! Ok ok ok. You’re right though!! Pomme initially does not, like, absolutely despise Chayanne but there is some strong envy and maybe even hate in there. For a lot of reasons: Chayanne is assigned her personal knight AND the chosen hero despite the fact that she can beat his ass in a fight. His appearance with The Master Sword also gave the kingdoms a lot of hope that she couldn’t, since she was struggling to unlock her powers. There were so many eyes on her, digging into her back, depending on her, she couldn’t help but wish it was her as the chosen hero instead. It would’ve made everything so much easier.

But like Zelda and Link, they do eventually start to bond and a friendship starts building between the two. Nothing romantic, for obvious reasons, but that doesn’t mean it’s not important!!! They start connecting and confiding in each other, and more importantly, believing in each other. They give each other hope. Maybe they won’t fail. Maybe destiny is right, and they’ll win, and then after they can go anywhere in the world. Chayanne can bring her to the Antarctic Empire and show her everything the way she’s shown him!!

Of course, you know what happens <— says me being dramatic as I crumple to the floor in absolute pain crying. By the way do you ever think about Pomme unlocking her powers because Chayanne is about to die, will die. Do you think about her clinging to his injured body knowing he’s past the point of waking up. After BOTW is done, they’re both just so. God. Ough. They both cling to each other and the guilt of what they’ve failed to do haunts them in every moment they will ever live. In a way only the other is going to ever understand. Their nightmares are mirrors of each other, their failures each others as much as theirs. Destiny has brought them the same pain. But the other is alive and they hold the other so hard their nails bite into skin, they both shadow each other. They’re alive together, and haunted.

They’re very much fighting to protect the other, arms and legs clashing as they try to push the other behind them to protect them. They learn to fight together and cover each others weaknesses and become an absolutely terrifying force to be reckonened with. People are convinced it’s part of the triforce.

They can probably read the other better than themselves, maybe even KNOW each other better than each other. They have a category 5 moment if the other ever gets missing or is gone. But in the end they’re both also just kids. Heroes, Legends even!!! The Hero and The Goddess!! But still just kids. Kids finally learning how to live, not worrying if they have seen the other for the last time. Soulmates who have been denied peace again and again, who are starting to fight back and claw it forward together, just for the other. Just so they can be happy.
