“Drop and give me twenty!”

Chass let out a long, theatrical groan as she dropped to the ground and started doing push ups next to Wyl, who was already doing his. “I think I hate this guy,” she mumbled.

“He’s… an acquired taste,” Wyl offered.

“That’s how you say you hate someone on Polyneus, right?” Nath said from next to them. The man was breathing hard, but still wore an easy grin.

Before Wyl could answer, their drill sergeant spoke up. It was tough for a grown man to look menacing while wrangling a five year old, but Kanan Jarrus managed to at least look stern. “Tensent, you seem like you’re enjoying yourself. This getting too easy for you?”

“Not at all, sir,” Nath called back.

“What about you, Chadic? You ready to take a break?”

Scowling at him, Chass said, “You know what you can do with your break? You can take it and—”

“Mr. Jarrus.” The clear, familiar voice of General Syndulla cut through whatever Chass had been about to say. Striding into the room where they were training, the general clasped her hands behind her back, surveying them with a thoughtful expression as she took it all in— Chass, Wyl, Nath, and Quell all doing push ups, while Jarrus watched, holding his kid’s backpack leash in one hand as Jacen explored the confines of the room.

“General Hera,” Kanan said, the corner of his mouth tipping up into a smile. Chass still wasn’t sure how this guy, of all people, got away with using the general’s first name. But then, there was a lot about him that she neither knew nor cared to know. Because she hated his guts.

“I take it things are going well?” General Syndulla said.

“More or less. With a little more training and discipline, I might even be able to whip them into shape. You’re welcome to stay and watch, if you want.”

“Tempting though that offer may be,” the general said, “I have other projects to work on. I just wanted to make sure things were running smoothly.”

“Absolutely, general. Drop by anytime,” he continued, and Chass could swear there was something almost flirtatious in his tone. I’m definitely imagining it, she told herself.

“After all, I’m always happy to have you around,” he added.

Oh yeah I’m not imagining that. Was their drill sergeant flirting with the general? Chass exchanged a glance with Wyl, who was grimacing. He’s lost his mind.

General Syndulla’s eyebrow went up. But all she said was, “As I said, I’m busy. But the offer is appreciated. Keep up the good work.”

Turning on her heel, she headed out of the room, and if he hadn’t been blind, Chass would swear that Kanan watched her go.

As they finished their push ups, Wyl hopped to his feet and went over to Kanan. “Uh, sir? About General Syndulla…”

“What about her?” Kanan said, frowning at him.

“Well, it’s just— I thought you should know. We’re pretty sure she’s married.”

To Chass’s surprise, Kanan found this so uproariously funny that he forgot to make them do their next set of drills, and sent them off to their ship maintenance time while he was still chuckling.

Okay. who in Alphabet Squadron gets the most

Yrica Quell: Does okay I think. She's mentioned having at least one long-term girlfriend and boyfriend, and "sharing a bunk" with a couple squadmates in Shadow Wing. She mostly has sex when she's in a bad mood

Wyl Lark: Has only had sex once, but he gets propositioned a lot. He's totally the kind of guy to only fuck when he has an intense emotional connection with the person. He's also way younger than almost anyone else in the battle group

Nath Tensent: Drowning in it. Coming in from all sides. Everyone loves a bear. He's the kind of guy you have sex with as a friend and it doesn't make things weird

Kairos: Does not fuck. Has no interest in doing so

Chass na Chadic: I think everyone assumes Chass has tons of sex because she's hot, but she has a lot of trauma that prevents her from being intimate with people, even casually. She's had sex maybe 6-7 times and hated it every time

Caern Adan: Gets zero dick. Gets negative dick. Has a force field that actively repels dick. Even IT-O won't fuck him

Yrica Quell

Bisexual pilot.

Yrica Quell grew up under the empire. Inspired by the Rebellion and was convinced to do something by her then girlfriend Nette. Nette ran off to join the rebellion right away, but Yrica, not knowing anything about fighting, decided to join the Imperial Academy first. So she could get trained then defect.

Her resolve waivered though. She grew attached to the people she trained and served with. She began to believe the Imperial propaganda. Though her faith in the empire wasn't absolute. She struggles with her thoughts all the way through the aftermath of Endor. She defected to the New Republic not long after that, but not before committing war crimes for the Empire.

Yrica's past was reviewed where she told the New Republic everything about her life, past girlfriends and boyfriends, and most of her service for the Empire. She hid the crimes she was ashamed of. She knew they would get her imprisoned or worse.

She flew missions for the New Republic and fought hard for the ideals she had once lost sight of. After many battles, she became a squadron leader. Her squadron included a variety of misfits, including the hot-headed Chass na Chadic. Her and Chass were especially contentious with each other. After a rocky beginning, they all became an accomplished squadron.

None of them completely trusted her at first, but she slowly gained their trust until her crimes were revealed. Her squadron didn't know what to believe at first, but they knew that she was haunted by her past and trying to be better. This led to her trying to take on the Empire alone and Chass tracked her down and beat her up.

She feared the worst and was in disbelief that she was instead given a medal and kicked out. Barred from any future service, she became a cargo pilot for medical supplies. She was joined by her past wingmate, new partner, and future lover Chass.
