2. second favorite movie Oh no, I’m terrible at picking favourites. I’ll probabaly pick another one tomorrow, but The Empire Strikes Back.

3. favorite planet

Corsucant is by far the coolest, but Naboo is pretty and looks like something I’d actually like to live in. It’s a tie.

9. which era would you rather live in? Oh dear. Whichever isn’t plagued by a horrible galactic scale war, so during the hight of the Republic.

17. which character would you want to be your best friend? Hmm... I’m trying to think who I’d actually get along with. Luke, maybe.

20. which character deserves more material? S T A R K I L L E R I love Galen. I want to more of him. But also, Sabé, Beru, Firmus Piett, Erv Lekauf.

22. describe your dream lightsaber(s) I’d love to see a very ornate lightsaber. With like, maybe some patterns etched on it, and even some hanging decorations. But in a way that it’s still functional, of course.

23. your favorite canon lightsaber(s)? I like the fairly simple design of Anakin’s, Qui-Gon’s and Yoda’s hilts. Fits my Nordic aesthetic.

24. favorite theme in the star wars story? Redemption. But also fight for injustice by a small force against a giant. Kinda like the Winter War except it ended better for the underdog. ┐(￣∀￣)┌

appreciation post for my dude lekauf who just really cares about and is extremely loyal to vader, at the risk of his own life, and is exactly the kind of friend anakin needs. he didn’t seem overly invested in palps or the empire at large, but he’d do anything for vader. and vader was so touched by lekauf’s loyalty that he started up an entire line of clones using his dna, then saved lekauf from burning because it was what he wished obi-wan had done for him

When Vader cares about his injured / dying subordinates...

For someone who was so feared by the population of the galaxy, Vader for sure had a lot of loyal people, who served him very well. Their reasons were various; some like Wrenga Jixton saw the service as a way to save people he cared about. There were soldiers, like Erv Lekauf, who really believed in Empire and admired Vader because his lord “never asks his men to do anything that he wouldn't do himself” and Vader did cared about him, even when Lekauf was unable to serve anymore due to his injury. Or people like Nas Ghent - a former hero of CIS, who after war was more like wrack of man than anything else... and yet Vader hired him as a new trainer for Imperial pilots. And that gave Nas a new pursuit in life. And now there is also a doctor Aphra, rogue archaeologist hired by Vader - she knows she will die if she fail him or when she became useless, yet she wants serve him. Because it’s the best mission she ever had and I really hope she will not die.

Vader may be seen as monster by many - and choking people doesn’t help to gain trust of imperial soldiers (though I think this is real reason why Palpatine wants him to act in such manners. It’s not only about “motivating” people by fear, it’s about alienating Vader so he wouldn’t gain allies and betray his master), yet Vader found loyal individuals. He was respected by them. And in his own way, he cared about them too. And the Sith’s way can be damned

I really like Vader relationship with his trusted subordinates. Not to mention all those soldiers he promoted even despite Empire’s corruption.
