Ouuuhjjj give me some bluddy Kimothy headcanons đđŸđđŸ
The crew calls him Kimmo :)
He's tall and lanky but also muscular. He's got that Abraham Lincoln body type.
I was confused when I saw his new wiki art showing him so well-dressed because his OG wiki image (the teal puppet) seems to show him wearing rags. I still like to imagine that he dresses like Crocodile Dundee, but a little more stylish. He wears jewelry and stuff.
Also, seeing that his name is "Bloody" Kimothy, I assumed he was, like, a weapons expert, and would be out on the field cutting up people, but realizing now that he just does the cannons seems incongruent to me. But again, I still like to imagine he's the master-at-arms in addition to the gunner. He carries three or four weapons at a time (like that one character from Sinbad) and knows how to use all of them.
He grew up on Previously-Abandoned-Now-Inhabited Island and was raised by the natives there (his biological parents wrecked their ship and drowned when he was a baby). He wound up joining the crew when the Jolly Hounds came there looking for treasure.
He has a severe mumble, poor guy. (I think maybe he can speak the PANI Islanders' language normally but still has problems speaking English). Roger can understand him perfectly fine though.
He has a BEAUTIFUL singing voice. You wouldn't expect it because he mumbles and his voice is kind of gravelly, but he can sing really well and people are confused by it. Like that scene from Over the Garden Wall with the frog.
Whenever the crew gets treasure and splits it up, he haggles with them to get all the gems, but he doesn't actually cash them or do anything with them. He just puts them in a chest in his room and occassionally opens it to look at them and giggle. (I'm debating if i want to make him an aspiring jeweler or gemologist but I don't wanna flanderize him.)
#i read somewhere that there was a woman who was mute but could sing just fine#because talking and singing involve different parts of the brain#that was my inspiration for him singing well despite having a mumble#candle cove#bloody kimothy#headcanons

Dear Author of the Hockey Holidays 2023 fic exhange
Thank you for participating and yay for writing for me! Iâve always been super excited about every gift fic I have received, and Iâm looking forward to the privilege of receiving the fic that you want to write.
That said, some guidelines on my preferences as a reader and some reasons why I chose the pairings in my request below.
I'm a Canes and Team Finland fan. That doesn't mean that I'd prefer you to write the Canes pairings or Finnish players in this exchange! Just a heads-up, when choosing side characters or secondary teams, please don't be too mean to my faves.
Likes: I like a mature, nuanced view on human nature, characters who have their flaws and shortcomings; characters with dubious morals but maybe sort of a good heart. I love good characterization and character dynamics, be it romance, porn or a gen fic studying personal development of an athlete in his sports career or group dynamics of a sports team.
As themes/tropes I like friends to lovers, fuckbuddies to lovers, enemies to lovers. I like my filth: scheming, pwp, Locker room gang bangs, Winnerâs room. I love equal partners, but I also find status imbalances & age and size differences HOT.
Dislikes: a/b/o, mpreg, tentacles, body horror, gore, rule 63, suicide/self harm. I'm not into BDSM AU -- Dom/sub undertones, BDSM elements and kink in smut are very welcome but not the predestined dynamics universe stuff. I donât want to see any mentions of Alexander Ovechkin. No slander of irl SO's or writing them as villains, but Iâm OK with them existing in the story, even if it involves cheating the spouse with the ship partner. Fights aren't a huge turn-on for me.
If you're writing Finnish characters, please don't use google translated Finnish or phrases picked from a dictionary without consulting a native level speaker for beta help.
About AU:s: I like mundane, realistic AUs. I'm mostly into spy / politics / crime / war stories at the moment, and I like band AUs. No high fantasy, please. Some magical realism / supernatural elements are fine if they are what you like to write. Werevolves or vampires? Team vampires, definitely. (But you know what's WAY better: angels. I just might have a bit of a religious kink.)
Prompts for requested pairings (and one pairing that didn't make it to the exchange in time but would make my day)
Remember: these are mere ideas, not requests. Vaguely in order of preference, but pick whichever gets YOUR creative juices flowing, that'll make the best reading, too!
Blake Wheeler/Jacob Trouba: Ex teammates meet on a new team. Has the hierarchy between them shifted when Wheeler has now lost his captaincy over Trouba, and Trouba has established himself as a needed brutal force in his new team? I'd love these dynamics explored, and I don't mind if it has darkish, nasty elements. I don't mind unhealthy dynamics or even violence, but if you see the situation as a chance for healing, redemption and soft landing, go for it.
Esa Lindell/Jere Pöyhönen | KÀÀrijÀ: Give me anything you have for this crazy ship, I want to see it all.
Sebastian Aho (b. 1997)/Teuvo Teravainen: I'd appreciate an updated look at the current state of my Finnish Cherubs OTP. Teuvo is having a monster season and the hottest stick (lol) on the team, does Sebastian reward him? Or is he jealous? Is he proud? (Please note that Sebastian is jacked, hairy and feisty on the ice but still so devastatingly pretty)
Teuvo Teravainen/Kimmo Timonen: Why not a melancholic story of Teuvo carrying on a relationship to an older married man for years? And for what? Does it ever reach a breaking point, and what then?
Sebastian Aho (b. 1997)/Justin Williams: These Tumblr text posts by @andreisvechnikov say it all: "he's a lot of thingsâŠkinda like daddy to me sometimes" - Sebastian Aho on then captain Justin Williams and watching Justin Williams get his Canes' HOF thing and knowing Sebastian "he's kind of like daddy to me" Aho was there because he loves him
Sebastian Aho (b. 1997)/Roope Hintz/Jesse Puljujarvi: I'm curious. Did they have a thing at Junior Worlds 2016? Or before that? Or after that? Tell me!
Sebastian Aho (b. 1997)/Brent Burns:Â Sebastian expressed a strong interest to be invited to Burnzie's ranch, saying he's "into that kind of stuff" and he'd "grab his own backpack and go". I'd love a messy smut version of how it went down over there. Dom Brent please.
Sebastian Aho/Brent Burns/Jordan Staal: Bottom Sebastian getting it good from two large men. That's all. But, like, a plot-driven war or spy AU could work too.
PLUS ONE: I totally forgot to nominate this crack pairing before it was too late: Roope Hintz/Sergei Fedorov. They look SO alike, don't they? I've always wanted to read an AU fic playing on their resemblance; they could be con artists, thieves, spies or whatever pretending to be father and son but being nothing of the sort. If this tickles somebody's imagination enough to prompt a tiny treat, I'd be ecstatic.
All of this is just to give you ideas, not to limit your creativity! Have fun writing and take care of yourself, Happy Hockey Holidays!
This is my hidden side Tumblr. The actual ones are @caixxa (main) and @badhockeymom (hockey).
If you have more questions, anon ask on any of these three blogs works.

Now that I think of it Kimmo the ghost (he's Finnish) isn't the first character has a veil to hide their face. Some years ago I had a dream where I was an alien creature living in a factory. I had a square of fabrics over my head because my face was too hideous for the other inhabitants of the factory to behold.
I also had a lead pipe for a weapon and sometimes had premonitions. I wrote down the dream and a little bit of plot, but decided to tackle a non-human POV later.

War Comics - Gone With the Blastwave
Gone with the Blastwave is a web comic by Kimo Lemetti.
Gone With The Blastwave is a post-apocalyptic war comic by Kimmo Lemetti that appears written for the gamers. Setting of the comic is a ruined city, and the comic itself swings from pondering serious questions to making fun of behavior of the players in online first-person shooters. As a result, characters can feel vaguely psychopathic while at the same time being utterly funny, with suicidalâŠ

One thought that I forgot to bring up is - Teuvo is, such a character, you know? Like his way of talking and the sneaky wry humor is so consistent, like he was written by a witty comedic genius. He actually only gets awkward and silent when the hosts try to get him to analyze Carolina's flaws or Rod's coaching critically, he feels uncomfortable talking about the playoff loss. But on other subjects, his seamless back-and-forth with Kimmo and Antti, but especially Kimmo, is a pleasure to listen to.
Cup Besties talking
It's about this —
And this ‎
Can't recommend this enough if you know any Finnish. They were veteran dad and rookie son, winning the most coveted prize in the hockey world, one to start off his NHL career, one to finally get the crown on his before retiring.
This is just the beginning of the roughly 1,5 hour conversation of Teuvo as a guest on Kimmo Timonen's and Antti MĂ€kinen's podcast. Teuvo's deadpan sarcasm and his subtle chuckles that soften his wry chirps and self-mockery work like a charm, sending his forty-something hosts into fits of laughter.
May be continued but let me put this out there first.
Kimmo: Our next guest hails from Helsinki. He's full 29 years old, but still has the face of a child. He goes by the nickname Turbo, which I don't understand, because he isn't that fast. A produce of the Jokerit, he has got, among other accolades, the Finnish rookie of the year award. From Jokerit, he went to Chicago, where we won the Stanley Cup together in 2015. Nowadays he plays for the Carolina Hurricanes alongside Sebastian Aho. Welcome, my good friend, Teuvo Teukka TerÀvÀinen, to the Kimanttia podcast!
Teuvo: Thanks a lot, (chuckle) nice to be here even though you forced me to come.
Kimmo: (laugs) For your information, listeners, I've tried to goad Teukka for a guest appearance for two or three years, but he has always, always declined before now. It's good, it's great to hear your voice, man.
Antti (co-host Antti MĂ€kinen): I was so sure that Teuvo has been on the show but it's great that you're there now.
Teuvo: Yes, I always say to Kime that someday I'll come, and now I felt it's time.
Kimmo: Are you in Finland, Teukka?
Teuvo: Yes, a few days ago. I came straight to the cottage, it's nice to wind down for a few days here. Nothing special.
(They go on asking if Teuvo has watched the Worlds, he reminds the hosts that Canes were still playing when the games started.)
Kimmo: I wanted to ask, before we start going through your career, how long are you staying in Finland, and will you spend time at the cottage or do you have plans?
Teuvo: I usually head back to the States in the beginning of September, to settle down a little before the camp starts. In Finland, this summer will be quite busy, all my weekends are pretty much locked down, I have so many weddings and bachelor parties this summer.
Kimmo: Oh, you're getting married? I haven't got an invitation.
Teuvo: Yeah, multiple times. (Antti and Kimmo laugh) No, fortunately it isn't my wedding. They're nice events, but they do take up your time.
Kimmo: Yes they do, weekends come and go.
(Antti tells a story about a golf live stream during the covid lockdown, where Teuvo played against Patrik Laine. Both played well but in the end, Teuvo lost. He left the course with very few words, and after an half an hour, posted a pic of his golf bag on his Instagram story, captioned "Clubs for sale")
Teuvo: I remember that. It's what it is, it's never nice to lose.
Kimmo: (laughs) That sounds familiar because I've also sometimes played golf with Teukka, and the round has gone fine, and he says, I'm quitting this game.
Teuvo: Yeah... We've played tennis, too.
Antti: How do you do against him in tennis, can you hold your own?
Teuvo: Well, I don't think i've yet won Kime, at least on his home court.
Kimmo: Well now, there we heard the truth.
Teuvo: But now i have my own homecourt here at the cottage, you're welcome to challenge me here.
Kimmo: (softly) I must come over.
Teuvo: On my own court I haven't lost to anyone else but Henkka Kontinen who's a pretty good player. (Pro tennis player, doubles specialist, career high rank 1 in doubles)
Kimmo: Oh. I'll have to come and challenge you this summer.
Teuvo: You'll have to.
Antti: Hey, that guy is a professional at that tennis hobby of his, he does have an advance.
Teuvo: Or used to be, he hadn't been playing for a full year when he defeated me.
~~~
So, that's just the first five minutes.
A little extra treat from the next segment:
Kimmo: I did some research about your junior years, and it said you started on Helsingin Kojootit (Helsinki Coyotes). Where's Helsingin Kojootit?
Teuvo: It's -- in Helsinki. (chuckles.) Like it says, Helsingin Kojootit, how didn't you pick it up from the name?
(Laughter, Antti is dying)
For the ask game: 4, 7, 63, 91 :)
4. what is the plot bunny youâve been carrying for the longest? optional bonus question: do you ever wonder why you havenât written it yet?
I tend to let ideas go and move on, so no unwritten "one day I will..." plot bunnies stay with me too long. The one still hanging the longest is a Teemu SelÀnne taking advantage of young players thing because I can't decide things like who all to use as characters or whether to make it an AU or no.
7. tell us about the plot of the first fanfic you ever wrote
It's football rpf from 2016 and it's still on my ao3 because I started late in life and I've posted every fic I have finished (and even some that I haven't).
The summary tells the plot pretty well:
Then they, of course, do.
63. whatâs the best insult youâve read in a fic?
It's no specific insult but a whole series of actions meant to insult. In the mob AU fic Uskollisuus | Fidelity by @thosedaysthatwill mob boss Kimmo Timonen acts out his jealousy by only referring to his protégé/ secret lover's protégé /not-that-secret lover as "it" or "junkie whore", and humiliating them in various (sexually charged) ways. It's all very good and that's why it has stuck with me so long, it's harder for me to remember individual lines or quotes that I read.
91. how has your writing style changed over the years?
I hope that my English has got better! And I think I dare to leave more open for interpretation by the reader.
--
Thank you for the ask!
3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year
I didn't write a lot that I posted this year. I have some really great stuff that only @isconnormcdavidok knows about that was my favorite. Maybe I'll get something posted of it someday. But of what I posted, the whole thing of "Haastattelu | The Interview" that's just one long scene that popped into my head out of nowhere. I enjoyed their banter. It wasn't very popular, but then I tend to write super niche stuff anyway, and I really enjoyed it so that's what matters.
12. favorite character to write about this year
Oh it's got to be Roope and Sebastian. But a very very very close second place is awarded to Teuvo and Esa.
24. favorite fic you read this year
I had to go back and read my favorite fics of the year to pick and that was such a hardship. Dear gods, were there some good ones. I think There Is No Remedy For It (Teuvo/Kimmo, Teuvo/Esa, mafia au) wins because damn is there so much sensory detail there and wow I eat that up with a spoon. But Lost Is All I Found (Teuvo/Esa, Teuvo/Kimmo, ballet au) is a really close second. And a third would be KesÀranta (Roope/Sebastian, WJC '16). And I have to mention i am building a fire (and everyday i add more fuel) which I'm proud to have beta'ed.
27. favorite fanfic author of the year
Hannah. (Sister_Grimm.) Not just of the year, always. Everything she writes is perfect and I'm lucky enough to get to write with her. Caixa is also a lot of fun to read, and I'm glad she's writing again.
THANKS FOR ASKING! đ
16. do i get asks: Occasionally, yes
17. why i chose my url: I was bummed out that, at the time, it felt like majority of the solarpunk scene assumed the amount of social interaction and community building, that were very out of character for me personally, and to the Finnish society and wanted to figure out ways to solarpunk[verb] that weren't tied to interaction with other people. The Outbound Ghost story driven RPG prefers Linux
The Outbound Ghost adventure RPG game's Linux port to help ghosts ascend after Mac and Windows PC release. Thanks to details from developer Conradical Games. Due to arrive later this year on Steam. Indie developer Conradical Games is eager to confirm the news of The Outbound Ghost. Which is a hauntingly adorable RPG, to Linux, Mac, and Windows PC later this year (Q4 2022). In development since 2020, solo dev Conrad Grindheim, combines quests, exploration, turn-based combat, and crafting.
We're hoping to get a Linux version done post release, but we can't confirm anything at the moment. We would love to though, so we'll work hard to do whatever we can.
The Outbound Ghost development is taking play by Unity 3D. According to an email reply from the developer they are considering a Linux port. Which is being stated in the Steam Discussions reply. But the developer obviously wants to make a port possible. Especially giving the success of the Steam Deck. Stating that Proton should work well. Although the email points out, "I totally understand that a full port would be preferable." You can share your Tux Love in the The Outbound Ghost Discussion post. The more native games we have on Linux, the more we will see on the Steam Deck. The Outbound Ghost is a story driven adventure. One where players take control of an amnesiac spook with no memory of who they are or how they died. Arriving in Outbound, a small village with its own mysterious and tragic past. The spectral hero finds it haunted by former residents unable to pass over to the other side. The player must help the ghostly residents to resolve their unfinished earthly business and find peace. While allowing the restless souls to ascend to the afterlife.
List of the characters in Kalevala
By popular demand (haha what a joke there was no demand for this post, itâs just a dream of mine to some day use that phrase) hereâs a list of the characters of Kalevala, organised by place of residence.
