currently whoring out for anything vampire related because it's august BUT! i can't figure out if grace would be a feeding victim or a turned vampire but either way, these are the things she would have on her at the time of her death both ways, since i like the idea that turned vampires must die to be turned.

it's a slushy march. middle of the month and despite the light snow, grace was hardly dressed for the weather. she decided to walk to the party, her mother using the car. her hair would be flat ironed, held together with hairspray and open-center clips. smudged purple shimmer eyeshadow and drugstore blush. a borrowed pair of heels that tracy lent her, "just for the night," she had harshly reminded. tracy would probably selfishly ask a police officer for the grimy pair back, unbothered that grace died. a pair of sheer tights stolen from her mother's drawer, ripped apart by the harsh conditions she endured before and after death. a pleated black mini skirt, stolen from the mall two months ago. a quarter-sleeve henley, her bra peeking out just enough for the police who found her to mistake her as a "sorostitute" for delta delta phi. a black puffer jacket, worn and loved, with a faux fur lined hood. she would wear various bracelets, mostly the beaded ones on her left wrist that she never took off, and a silver pair of hoop earrings.

in her purse would be her cell, buzzing insistently with texts and calls from her mother, the same snippet of a $2.99 ringtone on repeat. a roll-on shimmer tube made by nyx and an elf lipstick. essie nail polish. a crumpled paper with a boy's number on it, his name bitterly scribbled out. a blue glitter pen. $10 in cash because it's all her mother could afford to give her. a credit card in her father's name. loose juicy fruit gum. bath and body works perfume. glitter hand sanitizer. quarters and dimes. various crumpled receipts. a pack of marlboros with only three cigs left.

i will never understand how people have the heart to hate Jason even after they found out that his Ambrosia tastes like fucking sawdust. Ambrosia being tasty is like one single happy thing a demigod can have despite their tragic lives, because it reminds them of the home they once had, but lost. And Jason doesn't even have that, he doesn't even have a home to lose in the first place.

veilguard spoilers regarding a josie romance. but can we talk about the letter josie sends to a romanced inquisitor because. i’m sorry. fucking losing my mind at the fact that the inquisitor and josephine are close enough friends with the guy the inquisitor duels in her romance to be invited to meet his third child. implying they’ve been invited to the other two. at a baby shower and getting introduced as the one who dueled the baby’s father because he was trying to steal your girl. antivan romances insane.

ITS TOO FUNNY. i cannot imagine how they met and how yvette probably was like “teehee…. the man that my sister spurned…. has fallen in love with ME!” and the best/worst part is that ortranto really has. i like to think of them running around with each other and secretly meeting as though their families actually hate each other (they really don’t lol) . the ortrantos would probably be delighted to have their son actually marry a montilyet like they wanted, even better that they’re actually in love and it’s not arranged!

i have this image of josie going like “you can’t marry him. is this a joke, because it’s not funny. i almost embarrassed him! the only reason the ortrantos do not hate us is because he is a very kind man who saw that i was in love with the inquisitor! ….yes i suppose a very kind man like that could love you…….. yes of course i want you to be happy…… yvette gabrielle montilyet, i fear you are not hearing what i’m saying— DON’T SAY YOU ARE ALREADY AN ORTRANTO. DID YOU ELOPE? ah okay. don’t do that. i said don’t do that. yvette come back and listen to me” etc etc

of course i must believe that there was a big scene caused (once again) by a montilyet and ortranto that ends with lord ortranto making a speech where the publicly declares his love for yvette in front of all of antiva city to see and hear. so there’s no backing out from this one. in my mind there’s a rehash of the big “BECAUSE I LOVE HER!” (ortranto, desperate but genuine), “you do?” (completely aghast josie who has somehow missed the fact her sister has been giggling even more than usual), plus an “OF COURSE HE DOES!” (a thrilled yvette) that reminds josie so fondly of her own love story that she's immediately relaxed (and suddenly accepting) about this whole thing <3

simon's arc and growth in s3 was one of my favorite storylines and is one of the main reasons i like s3 so much.

in s1 we got to see the foundations of such a beautiful complex character - a boy who loves his family and those who have earned their way into his heart almost more than himself, loyal to a fault, vibrant and not afraid to make himself more of an outsider by standing by his ethos and personality.

and simon being his truest self taught the 2 most important ppl in his life their key lessons. sara now understands the gift of giving ppl second chances and wanting to hope they wont always fuck it all up. and wille learned everything from simon. how to love unashamedly. how to believe in yourself. how to look outside of yourself. how to speak your mind. how to forgive. how to live freely

idk i think there is something so missing in ppl who cant understand his character in s3 and maybe its a lack of life experience but knowing when you need to remove yourself from a situation that is destroying you and the ppl you love is important and real. he made himself so small to try and fit for willes life and that hurt them both, wille needed shining simon as much as simon did.

love is not always enough and simon was brave for recognizing that. for continuing to stand by issues and ideals that were deeply important to him. to recognize when his own actions were causing ppl harm. to continue to forgive and give ppl more chances despite being hurt but also knowing when he needs to put himself first

on my first watch of s3ep6 it something i couldnt stop thinking abt and i stand by it on a few rewatches, for someone so integral to everyone's personal growth bc he was that catalyst or lesson for them, he felt a bit forgotten. and i get there was a lot of loose ends to be tied up but im ngl he felt a little rushed/in limbo bc of it but i still think he had a full beautiful arc in s3. and the way ppl still damn him for every move makes me wish he had even more time to develop throughout esp s2 i wish everyone could see just how beautiful and complex simon is and how he is the base of everyone around him

Katherine of Aragon is one of my favourite historical figures ever and I honestly feel so mad on her behalf every time I think of her fuck-ass second husband.

Imagine you marry at 15 to another child your own age of whom you can only communicate via written Latin with, and then you both get sick and he dies, your marriage unconsummated. Then you have to marry his little brother - and you have a much more legitimate lineage than he does. So you're married off to him in order to make this guy's claim to the English throne legit. Without you, his legitimacy would be disputed. He wouldn't be shit without you.

Anyway, you're married to this guy for 20 years. In that time, you give him a daughter and have about 4 miscarriages / still births. You rule England on his behalf as "Governor of the Realm and Captain General" while he's off fighting a war in France, and during which you assist in winning a war against Scotland for him (while heavily pregnant), all the while pioneering women's educational rights and trying to help the poor.

And how does this fuck-ass man repay your grace, decorum, determination and spirit? By serially cheating on you and throwing a middle finger to your sacred faith to anull your marriage, and cause the entire country to split from your religion, all so he could shack up with a woman he only spent THREE YEARS married to before he killed her anyway. In doing so, he also essentially questions your virtue, sister-zones you, and implies you lied about not consummating the marriage with your first husband / his older brother. Basically, slandering you to hell and back. During all this, he prevents you from seeing or even writing letters to your own daughter. I'd be raging. And she did rage - but with so much fucking grace she was considered a martyr by many at the time.

Thomas Cromwell, who very much did not like Katherine, even had this to say for her: "If not for her sex, she could have defied all the heroes of History."
