For those who don't know yet, character ia has removed the bots on the Marauders and I suppose by extension those of Harry Potter. To make bots on this universe, it will now be necessary to do as with those HOtD, find fails to bypass the censorship.

Personally, I put the same names but I space out the last letter of the last name. For example, bots named James Potter will be now James Potte r.

I understand all your annoyance and disappointment, about this new restriction, it’s the same for me. I will try as a bots creator to put as many new ones as possible. Requests are welcome.

Update that nobody wanted; sir-im-a-gentleman at the end with his darling with triples and at two months and half of pregnancy just dive-bomb that from the moment he see them fall from the portal they plot to no only have them, be their mother of his child and that darling couldn't got home ever. Darling just process to try to stay calm for the babies and just propone collar him when he bad, the dog got dog brain and screw up things now he upset his pregnant love, what could got wrong? There's a fine line between "my vitriol for this character is so intense it loops back around to joy and I love when they're onscreen because hating them is so fun" and "this character's presence in the story actively makes the story less enjoyable as a whole" and I think the distinction lies with the author's intent. A character you hate because the author wrote them to be hated and did an amazing job, versus a character the author expects you to love and keeps shoving down your throat, causing you to choke on your own vomit.

did you guys know you can enjoy fiction even when you want to kill some of the characters with hammers on account of they are interesting and evocative characters that cause strong emotions and those strong emotions do not always need to be positive. crazy stuff

This just popped up on my dash and I don't expect you to post this but ia with you completely. You can see from AO3 top ships how rare it is to have a popular gay pairing that has a black man in it, but instead of examining why fandoms ignore black gay men instead we get people make jokes black gay man= straight pairing/not queer enough.

The lack of awareness over how black gay men are portrayed and seen in fandoms (not just this one) in general is actually mind boggling. Either as that broader aggressive and angry black man stereotype, or they're a campy 'ooh gurl' side character. And when presented with a nuanced gay black man like Louis who isn't a stereotype it's all 'welp let's just straight code him because I don't know how to talk about black men as main characters let alone gay ones'.

Like good for you if you like the black lesbian characters and the other poc gay men- that's great, have half a cookie, but doesn't mean you aren't still capable of making antiblack jokes or statements. This person really needs to ask themselves why they think the ship where one half is a kinda crochety old white man who has been married to two women, and which has one chapter in thirteen books and no onscreen sex scenes so far is gayer than the one with two queer characters that have already fucked multiple times on the show and had the creator of the universe outline their whole ass wedding.

* This one is the ideal action fan cam. it’s one of my favorite songs to hype myself up on my gym playlist, and I feel like this would be used for action scenes with Talia, especially the bounty hunter chase scene from chapter 5 where she’s fighting in her going out dress.

* I could go on for hours about how criminally underrated If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power is as an album, tbh so many of these songs were background writing/brainstorming music because they’re so well written and the sound is so good, if you haven’t listened I totally recommend. This song in particular is amazing, and I feel like it would be great for those kinda female rage edits, or angsty ones showing off Talia’s power in juxtaposition with how she’s feeling left out of the Order.

3. Unknown Soldier - Breaking Benjamin

* Taking a break from Talia to show Storm a little love, and this is a bit of a cop out because i’ve talked about this song in general for the clones before but I think it works very well for Storm’s character because what was all his fighting for? He was originally in the wolf pack, and only missed abregado because he was promoted to a captain and just moved to the 412th to miss the event that killed most of the men he had just served with, and he has some guilt over that. Then with the 412th, he wasn’t on the ground when Maul attacked and massacred the men, leaving Talia injured, so that’s another realm of guilt he has.

He’s the soldier that always pushes on, even when the galaxy moves on around him. I don’t know if i’ll ever get to write much of his and Rhys’s story, but he has a chance for life outside the army but it’s complicated and he’s the type of noble man that couldn’t leave his brothers behind even if his own happiness is lost. and he does make it to the end of the war, but for those that read IA you know that his ending is not happy, no matter that outcome of the unknown.

4. illicit affairs - taylor swift

* I know, a shocker. BUT I actually was debating for awhile if I would include a taylor song here and which one, and this did really feel like the right one because I could include why i titled the fic this, because rex and talia’s relationship doesn’t totally mirror the relationship in the song, because that definitely seems like a more unhealthy and unhappy affair. but the passion of the bridge is what spoke to me (which is why I linked a video of taylor singing the bridge on tour), and I think there is an argument to I healthy aspects of Rex and Talia’s relationship on both sides, but I think that’s due to their environment and also they’re both young people who’ve never loved before. but the bridge really speaks to the passion they feel, and would be used so much for edits particularly around the breakup chapters and flashing back to happier times.

Do you think Gwen and Frederick should be the only “original” couple to get the happily ever after marriage? Should Frederick wait until he’s in a much healthier state of mind until he can ask Gwen to marry him? I mean after he got past her appearance he put her on this pedestal which was just as unhealthy and expected her to fix him. Prince Frederick should realize that he should see Gwen as a person first before committing.

Hello! That's such a heavy topic questions to ask for, but I hope it's okay with mixing the canon with the fanon hopes of "what-ifs" scenario

Personally, I think not only Gwen and Frederick as the "original couple" (I feel you refer to Plaid-Pastel) to get the happily ever after marriage... because? Deep down everyone are all kind people and actually matching each other great like have potentials for great relationships that ends to the happy marriage BUT the current plot story shows that's likely only Gwen/Frederick that becomes endgame, Lance/Lorena is dubious but seems at the end they'll be buddies instead lovers, Maria/Blaine now in shambles as Blaine trickery to opening the door that leads to the invasion - there's no salvation left for their (healthly romantic) relationship anymore

I feel that I am one of the passenger left on the sinking ship of Maria/Blaine and Lorena/Lance but I hope I won't be that delusional of shipper that demanding the creator/author to make their ships to be canon (in other fandoms, extreme shipper like that EXIST with infamous example is a Rukia/Ichigo shipper from BLEACH that burning their entire collection of the comic because they're heartbroken that the endgame is Orihime/Ichigo) - I just want to tell my hurts over the potential what ifs, their tragic ships...

There's so many interpretation over the honest love feelings between Plaid-Pastel, and IMHO all of those valid but subjective without proper canon facts.. We need more canon details like the inner narrative of each character, as so far what we know is what they say in public-to others people so personally I am not sure if those are honest (espc to themself). Those talk without inner honest imho not realiable for true truth. Exception is Frederick but I explain later

Blaine: when asked by Frederick at dungeon if he truly loves Maria (ep 143), he didn't answers as instead mocking Frederick. Blaine looks so jealous when he see Maria chatting along with Beckett, using the guard name as the trick to opening the door.. And it's works. Blaine ia the most confusing character in my opinion but the past talk with Isaac @the-giggling-guava give me keyword-Anger. Blaine is very angry towards everything and everyone, espc Maria as the 'savior' that Blaine anchoring his self worth (coughs, coping both Frederick and Gwen) to believes he's not that all bad - he's not just have the ugly sides, but the gala fiasco make him fell into the dark pit to believes he's totally evil

Maria: as the oldest Pastel Siblings that get oversheltered so much for 18 years of her life, this makes her so quick and jumpy over notion of romance (even sexual desires, the most thirsty) and no one really pointing out about it clearly (Isolde in her icy way tell that Maria didn't really know about Plaid Princes is spot on, but wish for more gentle and elaboration honestly). It's only after 'incidentally' has talks with Beckett that she realizes herself over how downbad she is to objectify Blaine and after that at the piano duel, she shown great development by supporting Blaine as telling that she rooting for him

Maria/Blaine? Is a tragic ship as realistically it can't happen even with so much progress both of them had as seen that Maria is objectify him while Blaine do Frederick's initial move "have romantic partner for escapade (Isaac again gives very good analysis that Blaine wish for Maria to be his means to achieving "Freedom", so the idea of the lover not the actual person"). There's huge what-if fanfic project that I make, but even with that scenario of basically making amends early I can't make Maria/Blaine works healthy as the best outcome for them is open ending ship with them starting from zero (0) as a friend with Maria treats herself first by chasing her singing dream while Blaine completely let go of idealism being the perfect plaid prince first. If both of them meet up earlier, in normal family setting, I could see them being a healthy lovers tho - simply as the oldest sibling that loves music

Lance: the hardest CPC character to interpret because how passive he is canonically, he got defined by his relationships with others instead himself that define his character. This born from weird realization that he never had monologue or inner talk which the perfect example of when being the most honest self. He is so lacking on personality as he feels just there, not engaging to others on really intimate tone. Remember that the kiss he had with Lorena, is initiated by her? Or that he's not sure what he really wants, he just agreed to help Blaine archives his dream OR when he just realizes he didn't want to become a trophy husband for Lorena army only after Suzie nudging it? Also overall Lance treats Lorena more like buddies instead lover vibes somehow

Lorena: Lorena isn't downbad like Maria, but the effect of oversheltered makes her lonely to not really have (best) friend until meets Suzie which she clings the forced friend relationship for but it seems Suzie slowly don't mind about the notion. Does Lorena didn't have any romantic feeling towards Lance? Def not as she thirsting over the notion to becomes waffles so could get eaten by Lance. But I feel the current situation is she so hurt over passive way of Lance, born since when she depressed that her dream to leads the army initially not even supported by 2 males that she has high regards of opinion to (Jack severely againts it, Lance shown his fear over the notion). The passive way that turns to be cowardly way of Lance not doing anything to prevents the invasion arc as he just going along with the plan - Lance know the plan is evil, he utterly punished by Leland which Lorena not know the truth for, but Lorena is right about his passive-cism

Lorena/Lance? So ambiguous and messy, but not in total shambles like Maria/Blaine. That's why in my time travelling fic AU, I could make them works by changing several points of their characters. Have Lorena realizes how fucked up is Leland earlier. Have Lance to be more active, to believe that women isn't fragile porcellain doll as Lorena def capable to protects herself and others - she just need support, guidance and knowledge to do so as compares to the canon at invasion arc, Lorena's project is so impressive although ridiculous and naturally it's happen because her lack of knowledge of defense. They are literally dorky jocks that need some work in relationship to be together but could happen

Alright, I summary your questions first before answering them (1/ should Frederick waits to have healthier mental status first? 2/I am not sure which pedestal you refer, but I take free interpretation that after Frederick look past Gwen's appearance - while making various comparisons (witch√ cursed princess √ angel√) 3/ Frederick should see Gwen as a person first)

ALRIGHT!!! Here we go

1/ mental status is something that always fluctuate and actually it's not related to age (sure, older is wiser but there's more to it) but more about how each person deals with their mental issue - which from the very start they should realizes that they're in the problem first and thus act accordingly which mostly begins with acceptance 'that they're in deep shits and need help'. Now let's see Frederick overall. Frederick just realizes that his own family might abnormal only when meeting Whitney that gives example of what abnormal family is but he accept that his family might that bad, and got confirmed when punished in isolation treatment BUT he still clinging in naivety that his family not that bad bad by try to stops Blaine without any weapon and hoping words can help him. It's not, but thankfully Whitney and Prez saves him and curently the free pass in nutshell is Prez try to reasoning Blaine with sword dance (violent way)

So personally I think Frederick indeed need more work in his mental issue healing, but he's not starting (like Lance) or not even on the road (like Blaine) like his brothers. In the weird way of the CPC is, Frederick on the very first important step of acceptance - to anything. He already accepts that Gwen looks will stays like this, and he loves her just the way she is. He already accepts that his family is abnormal, but he hopes for his brothers still could be saved - like what normal people with high morality will do.

Also to me, the mental issue of Frederick isn't the standard for him asking out for Gwen's hand in marriage.. It's their age, both are minors and we shouldn't glorify teenager marriage (and pregnancy) - it could happen espc due to 'love accidents' (coughs, teenagers making love rawly and without future thinking thus suddenly realizes too late that the female are pregnant.. IRl scenario) but doesn't mean it can't be prevented. I find that gwenderick is the example of the most pure ship that can ever happen on my shipping book, mention of kissing already made them so flustered deeply which for themselves I believe they won't jump to marriage soon. They're will have the much needed time for mental healing of each other, but why can't make it together?

Mental issue healing is indeed a long road ahead filled with uncertainties, and I feel marriage shouldn't be standard milestone for relationship. Which in other world, GwenDerick could become healthy canon ship after the whole invasion arc end - when they reunite as Gwen awakes and Frederick reaches her as his true self.. But no need for marriage milestone, is just the event. The event that they're have chance to free from Leland's scheme and on their own pace when feeling completely ready, because what's one thing that entail to wedding-marriage? Progeny

With everything that they're going through to be lovers as now from the family with extreme parenting, I say with healthlier relationship that they'll get in the future..they could meet the middleground between oversheltered (Pastel) and overexposure (Plaid) to make their children, symbol of their love with combined aspect of them genetically, to be truly happy with loves

im nutshell, yes Frederick should waits in better mental status before courting Gwen.. But didn't mean for them to can't be together sooner. They could have free time of being together and dates.. Like right now after their incoming reunion. Being together =/= marriage

From witch initially - initial first thought of her having green skin and thoughts to wants poisoning him, the wrong confrontation that painting Gwen as immortal, her look that similar with Lilyth which haunting Frederick's palace for years. To Angel, the angel of the fortune, the entity that he thoughts to be his savior that completely lifting him up from the hole but later on that he realizes that he need to pull his own work too because the angel can't completely lifting him up - thus develop for his sense to protects the angel, because Gwen needs him

If putting someone on pedestal is unhealthy? Depends, but personally Gwen's wish that Frederick is the ultimate person to fix her =/= Frederick believes that Gwen is the angel as the present one. Why i say this? Because, for Frederick case that notion make him remembers Whitney saying that he could get chance to change his story then doing his own work (which helped by Laverne and LeoMieCake) to lifting himself from the hole he imprisoned in. For Gwen is different becaus after the gala fiasco, she's in despair believing no one loves her. She thinks her sisters hates her as breaking the engagement. She thinks that Frederick love to her indeed forced. She completely forgot about her father, her twin brother Jamie, the CPC... Then she eats the poisoned apple, the tragedy that LambCat paralelling as attempting suicide. But thankfully everything not too late, Gwen soul is still in this world and not die as what the success suicide is. Everyone involved on the light side outting their best ability to kicking out the Plaid Troop that the villain Leland leads while reaches Gwen to show - everyone loves her

Now, the incoming future episodes of the CPC, about who Gwen loves back..which I find will be so heartwarming if the revealation is that Gwen loves everyone back too ^^

I've finished the design for my main Tav, Luce Locke, the Luckless Liar. This is Luce, my Half-Elf 'bard' who is probably more technically a rogue with weaponized insults. [Mechanically, I realized after my run that I barely did any actual Bard stuff and just said mean things, lied, and stabbed people poorly.]

Officially, Luce romances Shadowheart with the bonus Halsin and banged no one else. I play unhorny bards. Unofficially, Luce would absolutely mouth off to Gortash and end up in a...situation. ------ I am bad at coming up with character names in general. So to make it easier for me to get through character creators, I have a mental repertoire of characters with names and personalities that I pull from before I start an RPG run. Luce originated as a Wildstar Spellslinger I had of the same name, for a story I was working on called Locke and Load -- the game died before I could get the story to a shareable point. In it, I was exploring themes of magic addiction as Luce became more and more addicted to being within the 'in-between' world that magic users have access to in Wildstar lore. She was losing her grip on reality and finding more work as a mercenary only to fund her ability to detach and embrace the other realm.

Wildstar Luce is distantly related to a WoW Mage I had by the name Aluciia, who was made to spite a teacher who called me the literal devil in class. From Lucifer to Luci to A(luci)ia to Luce. I used to pronounce Luce with a hard C, but after realizing it could be pronounced like Luce Locke = 'loose lock' I haven't gone back. It's too funny a coincidence. ---- From these origins, Luce isn't meant to be good at what she does. Her time in Baldur's Gate pre-tadpole was spent largely scrounging, sleeping on tavern floors, and distracting you long enough to swipe food off your plate while she smiled. She 'officially' became a Bard in an attempt to have a more consistent place to stay and fewer questions about why she was always in the pub. In actuality, she just desperately loved Pub Quizzes and proving her worth with little factoids. (We're a College of Lore Bard in this house.) This iteration of Luce is also avoiding real life. In this version, however, she's running from the more uncomfortable parts of being a halfbreed... The tadpole adventure changes her for the better. Everyone else may have been pulled down to level 1 from their higher places, but she had only ever made it that far. Thrust into adventure, she embraces the lie of a life she made for herself. As it keeps working, she fails forward more and more, falling in love with her Bear and Maiden Fair.

Happy Fandom Friday!

I have been branching out in my reading and I have a few series/one-shots to recommend. :)

Martyrs and Kings (@dystopicjumpsuit)*: This fic is the perfect blend of flirty, angst, and pain. Kix is going through it (who wouldn’t if they were in his place?) and I love that DJ is sensitively exploring his grief, survivor's guilt, and insecurities. Both him and Maree (who is quite the badass) have their personal issues and it makes the story that much more real. Their struggle with feelings and certain self-destructive habits is so raw and well-written. (I started this for the Indiana-Jones/history vibes and stayed for the witticism and pain.)

Illicit Affairs (@book-of-baba-fett)*: Iris has written such a beautiful romance built on mutual respect and trust. From the flashbacks establishing a deep bond to the angst of mutual yearning and insecurities, the feelings explored between Talia and Rex are tentative but also sexually tense. And the struggle between desire and duty is handled so well.

Absence/Fonder (@blueink-bluesoul)*: I don’t read TBB fic much but this was such a feel-good, soft part one. Sev balances all of the individual dynamics between TBB members and Reader while keeping them unique and special, all while creating a gentle yet erotic bond. Not to mention, you get some excellent pining from the batch members (and who doesn't like to see certain male characters pining?).

Songs in the Kitchen (@deejadabbles): Fun and domestically fluffy, this one-shot will give you a dose of dopamine. Deeja has written such a sweet dynamic between Reader and Omega (seeing Omega enjoy herself while learning a new skill is so precious), but also a trustful relationship with Hunter. All around good feels.

Uhura casting in SNW

I saw your post about the uhura miscasting. Do you believe in the theory some fans have that why they chose an ugly actress to play uhura was because they did not want her to be a threat to chrsitine chapel? I am glad I am not alone in thinking the new Uhura is highly very unattractive. So unattractive that it breaks the 4th wall. Like he creators don't see it. I was scared to say anything because I did not want to be labelled as a racist that hate dark skin black girls. There are very pretty dark skin black girl actresses.The Uhura actress is just not one.

Oh, Ce|ia Gοοding looks perfectly fine, my dear crap-stirring anon. Large, soulful eyes that draw the attention, a soft smile. Soft lines and curves. It's all there.

The creators of SΝW simply choose not to portray her Uhυra as attractive. And that's very easy to tell because they sure choose to do so with Chaρel. We see Chaρel be confident and cool and in a dress in a bar, we see all the ship teasing with her and Sρock and get to hear her talk about past trysts or a relationship or whatever that was. Her kissing Sρock has him feel~ things. Chaρel is actively painted as desirable by the narrative. SΝW Uhυra? We get to see her in her PJs and stuff her face hurriedly. She doesn't get to flirt with anyone. She randomly hums during a get-together to introduce a MacGuffin for later that is done so clumsily that Uhυra just comes off as a weirdo. Honestly, SΝW Uhυra's mannerisms remind me of Rοry Gilmοre. A book-smart, overachieving oddball, complete with juvenile exclamations during life or death situations ("And the crowd goes wild!").

That is not what TΟS Uhυra is like. TΟS Uhυra is refined and graceful. TΟS Uhυra is someone who is in control. She is someone who is confident. She is someone who draws attention to herself because she wants to. When she hums in the rec room and disrupts Sρock's playing, she owns it. She openly flirts with him. When Sρock tells her to hurry with the comm repairs she doesn't cave. You piss her off, she'll lock you in a closet. There was a slew of people who found her gorgeous. TΟS Uhυra was actively shown to be highly desirable (even if it couldn't go anywhere due to racism).

Hmm, did I just describe SΝW Chaρel? Oh my, what a coincidence.

If SΝW Chaρel and Uhυra switched personalities and backstories and Chaρel was written less like a 14-year-old's self-insert it would already make the characters more consistent with their TΟS counterparts. In fact, it'd make a lot of sense if Chaρel had massive daddy and self-esteem issues, explaining why in TΟS she'd latch onto the intentionally most emotionally distant man in the universe. Goodness, imagine. Exploring the reason for a woman's biggest character flaw in-depth instead of relegating her to just a dramatic love interest again. Because that's all Chaρel still is. Her modern upgrade has been knocking people out and being a spunky wisecracker, but she still has no relevance outside of her feelings for Sρock.

What an update.

To answer your question, I don't know what the creators were thinking, but it was definitely not casting an unattractive woman to get rid of competition. You can't even be unattractive as an actress. That's not how the show biz works. To me it looks more like yet another of the misguided takes about female empowerment that have been trending for the last 10+years that demand that "strong women" need to be independent and emotional hermits and not sexy because that is demeaning and women are not objects of desire or just there to be girlfriends, how dare you! what do you mean, that's what we do with Chaρel? that's completely different, oh em gee..!

The only character in SΝW who got the better deal is Τ'Ρring. She is actually a character now and not just more shallow drama for Sρock. Whoever is in charge of writing her should get a raise and be given the other characters, too, because SΝW started out strong but quickly became a kiddie pool of character depth.

No, I'm not a fan. The first half is fine but then it flushes itself down the toilet. Ηemmer dies and the focus is on Sρock's ship tease with Chaρel. Are you kidding me.

And then I have to sit through Ρike angsting about his fate yet again because the creators apparently hate disabled people.

People can scream all they want about JJ Τrek, but it got things right. It introduced new dynamics and elements that make sense and are interesting. JJ Τrek wasn't afraid to use romance and attractiveness to give depth to Uhυra and realize something that wasn't possible decades ago. It gave an attractive woman agency in her relationship that reveals as much about who she is as a person as the man she's with. Was JJ gunning for feminism? No, he was gunning for badass but got a lot of things right in the process.

They introduce her right after Sρock tells the Vυlcans to go eff themselves, showing us someone who is popular as she greets people here and there until she gets to the bar. Then Κirk comes leaning into the shot and immediately starts hitting on her. JJ Uhυra is not just popular, she is hot. So hot that the main guy sets his sights on her. And then they just start deconstructing the Hero Gets The Girl trope. You buy her a drink, she'll want something from you? Sorry, bro. You impress her with your knowledge, she'll want something from you? Nah, man. She smiles at you, she finally took the bait? Go sleep with some more farm animals, my dude.

Uhυra turning down legendary womanizer Κirk is such an important thing.

She is in control when Κirk is hitting on her, she is in control when she confronts Sρock about the Farragυt posting. Even when she's scared for her life facing the Κlingons, she remains in control of her emotions just like TΟS Uhυra when she admitted to her captain she was often scared but drew strength from him. One of her defining traits is being able to still do her job despite her emotional state.

SΝW Uhυra has none of that refinement and control. It's a completely different character. And I don't care if she is young because JJ's Τrek showed an Uhυra who was just as young, but where her core character traits were all present.

As for female empowerment, again, people can scream all they want, JJ Τrek still did a better job at it than SΝW. And why? Because an attractive woman doesn't automatically mean a sexualized woman. Yes, there is the underwear scene that was completely unnecessary and stupid, I'll own that. But aside from that dumb shot no one in the movie cares about, Uhυra being an attractive woman during the bar scene was not sexualizing Uhυra, it was portraying Κirk as a lecherous idiot. If people take a scene like that and think "Look! She's only an object of desire! She's only there to be the girlfriend!" instead of "Wow, what a jerk. Which part of no is so hard to understand, you loser?" that's on them and their male view interpretation and the bullcrap, internalized opinion that being attractive is an open invitation for every numbnut to hit on you.

It's not necessary for a strong woman or a non-sexualized woman to not have any sexuality at all. That's stupid and limiting. Like having to be allergic to nuclear families. This whole "You can’t want that, it’s demeaning!“ nonsense is pretty much the opposite of feminism. There's a reason Νichelle Νichols was wearing a freaking mini skirt during ΤOS. Because she wanted that right as a woman, not because she wanted to be a floozy.

Side note: I'm not gonna tag this anything because I have better things to do than get into arguments about a show I couldn't care less about. But I wanted to answer the ask nonetheless. I know anon will see it.
