Anybody writing, writing with, or asking for a character in their forties, I love you. Anybody writing, writing with, or asking for a character in their fifties, I love you. Sixties, I love you. Seventies, I love you. Eighties, so much. Nineties, you're beautiful and have damn fine longevity. Every step you take is awesome.

Survey on Character Design in She-Ra and in General
Hello, I would greatly appreciate if you could help me fill out this questionnaire on diversity in character design (specifically regarding character design in She-Ra.) If you could share it further that would be great, thank you! https://forms.gle/cdbufzFaPxgawtDi9

Writing x Characters When You Aren’t x, A Masterlist
x: a variable used to represent something unknown.
We’ve seen an influx of questions about how to write stories based around characters of color, disability, non-binary, etc. when the author does not fall into these categories. Rather than have these posts take over the site, we’ve decided to compile a list of resources to help our fellow writers become more educated about writing what they do not immediately know. However, this list is not the end-all-be-all of knowledge; one should always try to learn from someone with first hand experience in any topic. The world is constantly growing and changing, and because of that, there will always be more to learn. The admins at Plotline Hotline want to help writers form respectful, informed, and realistic characters that broaden the narrow range we see in literature today.
*Be wary that some of the topics listed below contain sensitive material. Reader discretion is advised.*
As always, the links I found to be especially apt will be in bold. Topics are listed alphabetically, excepting the “other” section.

Character designing
Sometimes I think my dragons are a bit lackluster but then I remember 'nah their fine'. Because their simple enough to exist in canon but are still unique enough to be told apart.
(can't say the same for literally any canon Nightwing or Icewing. see Hebi_Haberdashery (6:39) he have a display with multiple Nightwings and Icewings proving my point). Also his plushies are sick as.
For example when the Nightwings left the Night kingdom and got trapped on their volcano home, it would have stunted their genetical diversity(due to the amount of death), leading to multiple/ more traits to identify dragons by. Hence why Thoughttella has vitiligo and Fatekeeper has leucism and they were able to be together.
This is also why if malnourished Nightwings should be duller and less vibrant, see Blackout, if she was healthy she'd be as dark as Thoughttella who grew up inland his whole life. (health does contribute to scale health much like coat health to mammals(I think)). Moonwatcher is a great example of this and her mother makes a comment on how perfect she is.

Transgender allegory? In my digital circus? It's more likely than you think...
Edit: I know they cannonically use any pronouns, I meant that their relationship with body dysmorphia is not about being trans. They feel uncomfortable in a body that is not theirs, and this narrative is often used by trans people to describe their discomfort with their body. In Zooble's case, they are trapped in a digital avatar. That is why I called it an allegory, since Zooble's dysphoria is not directly about being trans.

Hey
- Make characters OTHER THAN VILLAINS fat too
- No not just the greedy or food loving ones
- Not just older people or moms
- Make more characters fat
- Like actually fat
- With double chins, bellies, thick arms, fat necks, rolls
- And let them be love interests or protagonists or in respected positions.
- Let them be portrayed as hot. While being fat yes
- Make more characters fat
