A Lotus doodle to brighten your day through the craziness life will sometimes throw your way.
~Em 🩷
I LOVE IT!!! Aw, Em, thank you so very much!! 😊💙
This is going right into my fanart collection and will be cherished for years to come 💙
Thank you for the smile!! Life has been crazy for a bit, but it’s finally starting to slow down. :) So much so I was able to finish the first draft of the next chapter of SIW!!
Because of your kind gift, here’s a little sneak peek. ;)
~
Lotus woke with a thrashing gasp, the air in her lungs stolen by another nightmare. Her hand shakily rose to her plastron as she tried to calm her pounding heart. The echoes of the monster’s threats slowly faded from her mind, but the adrenaline and fear still loomed over her like an inescapable smaug. Her dream still had its hold on her, morphing her reality as it saw fit; Shadows seemed to come alive as their claws shot out from the darkness. Every wall sprouted eyes and began to close in on her. Her stomach twisted in discomfort as she fought to forget her dream, closing her eyes and reminding herself again and again that it was over.
“I’m fine… It’s… It’s done..” She choked, still trying to regain her purloined breath.
Once the ghostly chorus of the phantom completely faded, she wearily opened her eyes. Everything had returned to normal, the shadows creeping back into their crevices awaiting the next time she would try to sleep. All the eyes had vanished from the walls. The room had stopped shrinking.
Before she could slump in relief her gut twisted again, making her wince as the discomfort only grew.
~
To God be the glory! :)

Here's a little hint at the first 6 epilogues...
Many of them occur at the same time and time jump lots in each chapter so not everything is in chronological order.
31 - Hinny Epilogue One:
Molly looked slightly put out by this before she turned her gaze on Harry and Ginny. “And what about you two? Two years you’ve just celebrated and what have you to show for it?”
Ginny bit her lip before she exchanged a look with Harry. “Actually, Mum, Harry and I do have some news to share.”
Molly shrieked, jumping up from the table. “Oh my goodness! I knew it! I knew it! I’m so happy! Oh, Ginny!”
Ginny was pulled into her mother’s arms before she could say anything otherwise and squeezed tightly. “Mum!”
“Oh, Ginny, you’re going to be such a good mum! I just know you two are going to have boy! I can feel it!” Molly exclaimed, tightening her grip on her daughter.
Harry cleared his throat. “Erm, Molly, we —”
“—and you!” Molly said, throwing her arms around Harry. “A baby! This calls for a celebration!”
“MUM!” Ginny shouted, making Molly turn to look at her. “I’m not pregnant.”
Molly’s face fell. “Not pregnant? What do you mean by telling me that you are!”
“I didn’t,” Ginny said. “I said that we had some news to share.”
32 - Luna Epilogue...
“I don’t like him,” Harry said again, crossing his arms in front of his chest. “She was bloody starkers when he met her, Gin! This bloke is dodgy, I can feel it! I don’t like him.”
“You do, actually,” Ginny said, her eyes twinkling. “In fact you like him very much.” At Harry’s look, she smiled. “His name is Rolf Scamander.”
“Rolf Sc — bloody hell,” Harry grumbled.
“He’s very nice, Harry,” Luna said. “We’ve been together most of the last two and half months. He makes me laugh and he’s kind. When he kisses me, I feel things that I’ve never felt before and he doesn’t seem to mind that I need a lot of foreplay to make me come. In fact, he rather enjoys spending time between my legs. Ginny, one night I came five times.”
Ginny chuckled. “He’s definitely a keeper.”
“Erm, sure,” Harry said, the back of his neck reddening. “I’ll leave you two to talk more.” He stood up and walked over to kiss Luna’s cheek. “If he hurts you, I’ll kill him.”
Luna gave Harry an amused look. “You know I can take care of myself, right?”
“Just pass it on,” Harry said, kissing her cheek again. “No one messes with you or they answer to me.”
“He gives me the best orgasms, I’m going to keep him for a bit.”
“Er, right,” Harry said.
33 - Theo Epilogue One...
"Theo, will you —”
"YES!"
Sebastian's lips curved. "You didn't even let me ask you.”
"Right, sorry," Theo said. "Try again.”
"Will you —”
“YES!" he squealed, biting his bottom lip. “Sorry. One more time, l'll be quiet, I swear.”
Sebastian beamed at him. "Will you marry —“
"YES!" Theo shouted, falling to his knees in front of Sebastian to kiss him. "A million times yes!!”
Sebastian kissed him back fervently. "You know, I had a plan here. I didn't even get to show you the ring.”
Theo kissed him, speaking in between more kisses. "Don't care. More kissing.”
34 - Romione Epilogue One...
Ron waved his mum off. “Nothing much, Mum, except for one thing — I’m calling for a vote. I think we can all agree that I’m the Weasley who gave the most romantic proposal ever, right?”
Fred snorted. “Pretty sure that’s a lie. No way was ickle Ronnikins the most romantic.”
“Nothing from you,” Ron said. “You haven’t even proposed to your girlfriend.”
Fred stuck his tongue out at his brother. “Git.”
“I don’t know,” Ginny said, smiling at her husband. “Harry set up a romantic picnic before we went for a fly on his broom. Then he wrote me a cheesy poem while he proposed during the sunset. That’s definitely up there for mad romance.”
Ron waved her off. “Yeah, yeah, Harry’s a contender! But I definitely beat out Percy!”
“I thought the ring in the champagne glass was very classy,” Percy said, pushing his glasses up his nose.
“It was,” Audrey said, tapping her husband’s cheek. “He took me out to a romantic dinner and told me how much he loved me. It was perfect.”
“I don’t know,” George said. “I think I win, I mean, I got Ange to propose to me.”
Angelina laughed. “And it worked for us, but I wouldn’t exactly call it romantic, George.”
George gasped. “How dare you! You even gave me this gawdy ring!” he exclaimed, wiggling his hand with the pirate ring on his finger.
Angelina picked up his other hand, the one that held his gold wedding band. “I love this one more.”
He grinned. “I’m a kept man and I like it.”
“Wait,” Ginny said, holding up her hands. “Ron keeps going on about how he had the most romantic proposal, but I don’t think we’ve even heard how he proposed.”
“What’s important, Ginny, is that I win!” Ron declared.
35 - Hinny Epilogue Two...
Harry kissed the top of her head. “Gin, if this is what you want, you know that I’m going to support you. You don’t have to work at all if you don’t want to.”
“I know,” Ginny said, tracing her fingertips into the groove of his abs. “I think maybe I’d like to do something else eventually, but I think that when it gets closer, I’ll think more about it. I just want to spend more time with our children and enjoy them, you know?”
Harry kissed the top of her head. “Whatever you want to do.”
Ginny’s fingers trailed a bit lower to squeeze him. “Then after I retire, maybe we can try for that magical number four?”
“Yeah?” he asked, a little breathlessly. “One more baby?”
“One more,” Ginny agreed. “I think four is the perfect number, don’t you?”
Her thumb brushed under the head of his cock and his breath hitched. “Yeah, that sounds perfect. Let’s try for another girl. Two and two, you know?”
Ginny smiled, slowly kissing her way down his chest. She dragged her tongue over him, sneaking a look at him under her lashes. “After I retire.”
“Deal,” he murmured and then her mouth wrapped around him and Harry watched her in awe, falling more in love with her all over again.
36 - Blaise Epilogue...
“I don’t even want to get married,” Blaise insisted. “I’m working my dream job. I have more money than I even know what to do with. I can buy whatever clothes I want, travel wherever I want, and bloody shag whomever I bloody want… why would I want to settle down? Seems boring.”
Theo sighed. “One of these days, Blaise Zabini, some witch is going to turn her nose up at you and you won’t know what to do about it.”
Blaise laughed. “Please. I’m everyone’s fantasy.”
Sebastian snorted. “His ego’s still working just fine, I see.”
Blaise grinned. “And you two love me for it.”
“Well, instead of your ego, can we talk about our plan for Paris?” Sebastian asked.
Theo pouted. “It’s not fair that you both get to go to Paris and I have to stay here.”
“You have to work,” Sebastian told him.
“And we’ll be working,” Blaise cut in. “You and your team are taking over all of the investigation, am I right?”
“Yes,” Sebastian said. “D, J, and I will keep track of it all and let you know what we find. You’re only defending Lavigne, correct?”
“Yeah, but from what I’ve heard, it’s causing a rift in the Ministry.”
“And then some,” Sebastian agreed. “My team is heading there tomorrow afternoon and as soon as know something, I’ll touch base.”
“Appreciate it,” Blaise told him. “Now, let’s chat about what kind of outrageous gift we can get Draco before I head off to Paris to shag my way around the city.”
Theo turned to look at his husband. “Why do we keep inviting him over?”
“Because you love him, baby.”
Theo wrinkled his nose. “It’s bloody inconvenient that that’s true.”
Blaise laughed and clinked his wine glass with Theo’s. “I’ll drink to that.”

Sneak Peek: Goblet of Fire — Chapter Thirty
Link to the main fic here
The two sat in silence, until Lyra broke it by saying, “You’ve been avoiding me.”
Harry swallowed thickly, and nodded. “Yeah, I sorta have.”
He didn’t think she had expected him to admit to it so easily, jumping to say, “It’s alright, I understand why you’ve wanted to—”
“I’ve just wanted to give you your space, that’s all—”
“I know I’m a lot right now, and you’ve been through a lot—”
“It’s not that,” he cut in strongly, putting an end to their momentary battle of out-explaining one another. “It’s not that you’re upset. I just don’t want to be the one upsetting you.”
“Why would you make me upset?” she asked, large eyes blinking at him in confusion.
Harry’s fingers dug into the skin of his palms as his fists clenched. “I know you want to know what happened, and when you ask, I’m going to tell you.” Eyes stinging, he glared a hole into the table, unable to look at her expression as he spoke. “And when I do, you’re going to find out I’m the reason he’s dead, Lyra.”
She pulled back, shocked by the statement. “I don’t believe that Harry.”
“It’s the truth. It’s my fault that your friend is dead,” he gasped, realizing he was close to tears.

Chapter Sneak Peek 👀
Well, it’s taking me a bit longer than I’d like to get the next chapter of The Boy posted, so I thought I’d throw up a little sneak peek. Hope you enjoy 😊 Chapter 10: Sensory Gratification
The thought of taking Jane to Palaven put warmth in Garrus’s heart. He thought of riding there on a shuttle together, taking her out in a skycar to see the countryside, taking her to his family’s villa.
“You’ll be fine in a little protective gear,” he told her. “And the courtyards and gardens at the country house have shielding, so you can walk around out there as much as you’d like.”
Trip already half planned in his head, he added, “You’ll have to watch out for my cousin’s baby, though, he’s running around now, and at the nibbly stage.”
She laughed, and held up her hand, a human gesture of promise. “I’ll be sure to wear thick socks at all times.”
“Better make it thick leather boots.”
Jane laughed, then her eyes landed on his mouth. “How sharp are your teeth?”
“Sharp enough to break skin.”
“Okay, but so are mine.”
“Sure, but my teeth would leave more of a mark on your skin, than your teeth on mine.”
Watching his mouth, she played at the center of her throat with her fingertips. “Not sure if that’s a warning, or you’re offering a good time.”
A sudden, large trill wedged in his throat. Any sort of reply was impossible, because words lodged just beneath the trill. She was in a very strange mood, had been all day, actually, considering how she acted at the range.
Jane's eyes shot to the top of his head. “Can I touch your fringe?”
“My fringe?”
“You always touch my hair.” Her soft features took on a sharp angle of curiosity.
“Sure,” he agreed, because that was a truth he couldn't deny. The idea that she’d want to touch him in a similar way never crossed his mind, though, maybe because he knew where his urge to get his hands on her came from, and it wasn’t friendly curiosity.
She didn’t take it as an agreement, though, she took it as permission. She scooted even closer, until her thigh pressed to his, tucked her legs up under her for a boost, and her hands landed on the very top of his head, her little groping fingers sailing over the smooth planes. The trill in his throat broke free, surfacing as a too-deep ripple that made her smile. He cleared his throat, and smiled too, thankful that the ripple sounded somewhat normal, and not the whorey thunder that he expected.
As her steady fingers dipped in the ridges in between each plane he followed every single freckle across her nose and cheeks, from one golden fleck to the next. He anchored his hands to his thighs to keep from running his fingertip over them, just to know what they felt like. He guessed they’d burn against his skin, like stars.
“This… is more like running my fingers over your scalp,” he said.
“Mm.”
Her eyes looped over his mouth, his nose, his eyes, his fringe, his eyes again. Following their path left him reeling. Had she ever been so close?
“I only touch the...tips of your hair.”
She sat up on her knees and her hands shot to the tips of his fringe, her face pressing in even closer. The greens of her eyes more vibrant, the curve of her cheek softer, her eyelashes flicking with each blink and a murmuring purr started in his chest; there was no stopping it.
“Is it more sensitive here?”
“Well, no.”
Her eyes connected to his and he swore there were shooting stars in her green irises. It wasn’t the spot that felt so good, every soft touch of a finger to any arch or groove of his fringe seared him in a way he’d never experienced before. Maybe because it had been so long since he’d been touched, maybe because all that time in sensory isolation, he’d been imagining what this would feel like. Her skin. On his body.
Her smile turned sly. “Would you like to run your hands over my scalp?”
Spirits yes. He dug his hand into his thigh so he wouldn’t. In a vid once, a turian gripped his lover’s hair, strands bound in his knotted fist. Despite trying very hard to forget, that image had burned into the most feral part of Garrus’s brain.
“Does this feel good?” Jane asked.
“Terrible,” he said on a hot breath, and she giggled.

Prologue Sneak Peek!
Since a few of you asked . . .
A grey impenetrable wall of fog masked the H.M.S. Dauntless as she made her voyage across the Atlantic bound for Port Royal. Governor Weatherby Swann had been appointed by the King of Great Britain as governor of the bustling harbour town and was making the trek with his two young daughters. While Elizabeth had been excited about their new adventure, Georgianna had to be dragged kicking and screaming aboard the vessel. Seeing his youngest daughter screaming for her dear late mama broke Governor Swann’s heart, but leaving their sorrows behind and starting anew was what he deemed necessary for their small family.
Young Georgianna spent most of her time below deck during the voyage. The young lass hadn’t developed her sea legs and therefore confined herself to her bed as her remedy for the seasickness. Even though the remedies of mint and ginger tea seemed to lessen her ailment.
Whereas Elizabeth appeared quite put together despite the voyage, Georgianna’s appearance was much more dishevelled. Her hair was matted, her face paler than at the start of the journey, and her clothes hung a bit looser than before. Young Georgianna looked as miserable on the outside as she felt on the inside. But Elizabeth took it upon herself to rectify that.
“Georgie, up,” Elizabeth said shaking her sister by the shoulders.
Georgianna simply groaned and rolled over, still dressed in her nightclothes and buried beneath the quilts.
“Georgie!”
Elizabeth yanked the quilts off her sister which tossed young Georgianna from her bed. She squealed as she fell to the floor before hitting it with a thud.
“Lieutenant Norrington said some fresh air might do you some good,” Elizabeth said matter-of-factly as she rested her hands on her hips.
Georgianna glared up at her sister with her arms folded across her chest. “I do not wish to go above deck,” Georgianna retorted.
“And I wish you would willingly do what I say.” Elizabeth looked at her sister pointedly. “Come now, Georgie. We might see pirates! Would you truly want to be below deck should we see them?”
Elizabeth reached down and pulled her sister reluctantly to her feet. Of course Georgianna wanted to see pirates. Although she wa not quite as fascinated with them as her sister. When the sisters had discovered they would be making the voyage, they played pirates in the garden. Much to Georgianna’s dismay, Elizabeth even made her walk the plank!
“We’d better see some pirates,” Georgianna muttered as Elizabeth forced her to sit on a stool so that her older sister could brush the rat’s nest from her hair.
After several passes of the brush through Georgianna’s hair, Elizabeth tugged at a knot. “Ouch!” Georgianna hissed, reaching for the back of her head. She attempted to pull away from her sister, but Elizabeth pulled her back. “Pirates will not care what my hair looks like!”
“No, but Father will.”
Georgianna rolled her eyes. She knew that as the new governor’s daughters they had appearances to keep. While her father had been a little more lax on the journey thus far, Georgianna knew that once they were in Port Royal they would have people who cared about such things. Why couldn’t girls wear their hair shorter like boys? It would make things much simpler. Why hadn’t she been born a boy?

Loyalty and Limerence - Part 3, Interlude
I feel bad that my update schedule isn't quite as fast as it used to be (shakes fist at the Universe), but I thought maybe I could post some peeks here in the meanwhile. I'm excited for this chapter, it was fun to write!
“Hurry up, Shepard!” The asari called back at them, “We need to move fast. I’m itching for revenge.” Jane jogged to catch up as a sardonic smile passed her lips. “You’ll do what you need to do.” She shrugged, trying not to imagine the bloodbath Aria planned to leave in her wake. Aria flashed her a raised brow as she slowed. “Huh, and I’d heard you’d gone soft under your brother’s thumb. I almost imagined you might come here trying to change me.” Her smile was pleased and dangerous. “I’m a Spectre, not a saint.” Jane snorted before continuing with a drawl, “I don’t give a shit what you do with the garbage occupying this station. We have a deal – I’ll do my part, you do yours. That’s all that matters.”
“I always did like you, Shepard.” Aria smirked, “You get me.” She led them up to the command center of the bunker, and began giving out orders and demanding information. Finally, together they began outlining their situation. “Our losses were significant.” Aria growled, “We can’t field an army large enough to face down Cerberus.” “Then we need to find allies.” Jane grumbled, ire prickling up her neck. “A pity we didn’t bring John along, he’s the people person.” “Don’t sell yourself short.” Garrus cut in from her elbow, and she felt a stab of gratitude for his faith in her. “We’ve confirmed there is a merc gang that’s still active.” Aria continued without acknowledging the interruption. “The Talons are resisting the occupation.” She gestured to a display showing a security clip of gangsters displaying the symbol they’d encountered earlier in the tunnels. “Not my first choice,” She spat with disgust, “but they’re all we’ve got.” “We’ll make them join.” Jane narrowed her eyes as she watched the clips of the rebel gang. “One way or another.” “Perfectly put.” Aria replied, her pleasure more evident in her voice than her emotionless face belied. At that moment, Aria’s attention was diverted by Bray announcing Nyreen’s disappearance, and Jane heard Garrus chuckle from where he stood behind her. “What?” She turned to face her amused boyfriend. He shook his head, but his smile remained. “Nothing. Shepard never could understand your friendship with Aria, but watching you guys, I think I get it.” “Oh?” Jane crossed her arms and shifted her weight to one side as she raised an eyebrow at him. “You guys are more alike than I’d realized. It’d be funny if it wasn’t so terrifying.” He grinned, and Jane felt something deep in her belly warm at the intensity in his eyes. “Just remind me not to get on your bad side…” He murmured, though something in the tone of his subvocals begged for a demonstration, and they both knew he wasn’t referring to her gunplay. Jane couldn’t help the hum of pleasure in the back of her throat. “Keep lookin’ at me like that, and I’ll show you just how bad I can be.”

“Is that them?” a voice shouts. Eddie glances up from where he’s just finished splinting the last kid’s wrist to find a heavy-set white guy storming towards them, literally spitting with anger. “Are those the shitheads that destroyed my construction site?”
“Sir,” Eddie says, moving to intercept. “Sir, I understand that you’re upset, but you need to stay behind the barriers.”
“You’re damn right, I’m upset!” the man yells. There’s this acrid stink of unbridled rage wafting off of him like the worst kind of body odor, the vein in his forehead throbbing furiously. “You fucking delinquents, do you have any idea what you’ve— Hey! Look at me when I’m talking to you!”
“Sir,” Eddie says again, voice firm. “This is an active emergency incident. You need to step back.”
“Three weeks behind schedule, hundreds of thousands of dollars in the hole,” he says, still screaming at the very top of his lungs. “And you’re treating their fucking booboos? I want them in handcuffs! I want them behind bars!”
“Sir, please calm—“
“Don’t tell me to—!”
The—obvious, inevitable, for fuck’s sake, really?—shove barely even phases him, but the heel of his boot catches on a piece of debris and his back foot goes skidding out from underneath him. His arms fly out as he fights for balance, bracing himself for a hard fall.
Instead, he lands against a firm, familiar chest.
“Do not,” Buck growls in a low, dangerous voice, because of course Buck’s here right as Eddie needs him, always watching his back. “Put your hands on him.”
He can’t quite smell him between the dust in the air and all the blockers he’s slathered on, but it doesn’t take a genius to identify a supremely pissed off alpha. Asshole Civilian must realize it too because his beady eyes go wide, his lips turning pale and thin as all the blood drains from his face.
“I— I was just—“
Buck tips Eddie back onto his feet, strong hands lingering on his hips for a moment as if to make certain he’s steady before pulling away.
“Firefighter Diaz told you to move back behind the barricade,” Buck says, his expression thunderous as he gets right up in the guy’s face. He’s got, maybe, four inches on this guy, but with the way he looms over him, it might as well be four feet. “I strongly suggest that you follow his instructions.”
Any intelligent person would cut their losses, scurrying away with their tail between their legs. But this guy proves himself to be a special type of stupid.
“This is my building,” he protests in a voice like a wet paper towel. “I have a right to expect—“
“Half of your building fell into a sinkhole,” Buck cuts in, thoroughly unimpressed, “and the other half is on fire. The entire area is under the purview of emergency personnel until further notice, and any interference,” he continues, “is considered an obstruction of justice. And attacking a firefighter is felony assault.”
Idiot Asshole Civilian makes a noise that’s somewhere between a gurgle and a wheeze, and somehow manages to pale even further.
“So, you can either calm down and find somewhere out of the way to wait for an update, or I will personally escort you off of the scene and directly into the back of the squad car. Your choice.”
He’s incredibly sexy like this: all protective and righteous on Eddie’s behalf, his cheeks flushed with fury and his lip curling like he’s barely holding back a snarl. If it weren’t for three-alarm fire blazing steadily behind them, he’d climb him like a fucking tree, right there in front of god and everbody.
“Down boy,” Eddie murmurs instead, pressing a hand to his chest, because when Buck starts to snap and snarl, it’s Eddie’s job to tug on his line and haul him back. “I think you’ve more than made your point.”
For a moment, he’s not sure if Buck will let it go. His nostrils flare like a dragon defending its hoard, his eyes flashing from blue to red and back again between one blink and the next.
He grinds out, “Back. Behind. The barricade.”
Then he turns on his heel and stalks away, disappearing into the throngs of first responders.

SNEAK PEEK!
Chapter 29 -- The One With the Beginning
Ginny knew that planning a wedding was going to be a lot and she also knew that being the only daughter was going to make Molly go a bit overboard with everything. It had been one week since she and Harry had announced their engagement to their friends and families and Molly and Zee were already working together to put ideas forward on the how, when, why, what, and where of the Weasley/Potter wedding.
Molly had calmed down somewhat after the announcement and Ginny had been pleased when they’d gone home and all her mother had said was that they would chat later about ideas. What she hadn’t expected was to be halfway to orgasm the very next morning, Harry’s tongue doing delicious things to her, only to be interrupted by a loud knock on their bedroom door.
“Ginny, dear? Are you awake? I brought the wedding scrapbook I made.”
Harry groaned into her thigh. “It’s half past six, Gin.”
“Ginny? Dear, are you awake?”
“I’ll be right down, Mum!” Ginny called out, burying her face in her hands. “Harry, it’s barely been twelve hours since we told her. She’s going to drive me to drink.”
“I’ll be in the kitchen,” Molly called out. “I’ll make you both breakfast.”
They heard her move away from the door and Harry kissed her thigh.
“She’s excited. She wants to plan things.”
“It’s our wedding.”
“Yes, and we’ll have final say,” he assured her. Then he ducked his head down and used his tongue again.
“Mmm, better be quick down there before she comes looking for us again,” Ginny warned.
His tongue circled her clit, flicking and twirling as his fingers joined in and she moaned. She could feel it building, the pleasure coiling inside of her. She was close enough to taste it and she reached down to grip Harry’s hair tighter, urging him forward just as Molly’s voice came through the door again.
“Ginny!”
“Bloody hell!” Ginny groaned, shoving Harry away.
He wiped his mouth with the back of his hand. “You were close, I could feel it.”
“Breakfast is ready,” Molly called through the door. “Are you coming?”
“Not anymore,” she grumbled making Harry laugh.
“We’ll be right down, Molly,” Harry called out.
They heard her disappear again and Ginny rolled over, letting out a small scream into the pillow. Harry kissed his way up her spine.
“I’ll make it up to you later. Come on, we better get downstairs before she sends out a search party.”
A moment later, Harry was in the shower and Ginny had reluctantly pulled on an old worn pair of cotton shorts and one of Harry’s tee shirts before heading downstairs. She found Molly sitting at the kitchen table with three plates of breakfast out and a huge scrapbook wrapped in white lace.
“Good morning, Ginny!”
Ginny gave her mum a small smile, kissing her cheek before she sat down. “Morning, Mum. This was nice of you.”
“Oh, it was nothing,” Molly said, waving her off. “I wanted to catch you early.”
Ginny let out a slow breath. “Mum, I love how excited you are. Truly. I’m excited too, but you really can’t just pop by at barely half past six. I don’t live at home anymore, Mum. I live here with Harry. Harry and I are working out a routine. We like to get up and have a run in the morning. It’s not that I don’t appreciate the breakfast, but as I said we’re getting into our own routine and a huge full breakfast isn’t part of that and… Mum, you can’t just show up bright and early,” she finished lamely.
Molly’s brown eyes widened. “Oh! Of course, I didn’t even… I won’t pop by so early next time. I just… I’m sorry, dear, I’m just so excited! I barely slept a wink after you lot left last night. I have so many ideas! I know that you’re not living at home anymore and I have to respect that. Things are different. I promise not to impose on you and Harry like this so early next time.”
“All right,” Ginny agreed. “That would be appreciated and maybe you know, ask first.”
Molly chuckled. “I’ll try, but that’s not the Weasley way, is it?”
Ginny shrugged. No, it definitely wasn’t. “Well, maybe not, but Harry and I would like some privacy. You um… interrupted.”
“Oh!” Molly exclaimed, her cheeks heating. “I didn’t even think about that. Merlin, Ginny! You two snuck off last night to have sex during our family dinner and now you’re telling me that you were still at it this morning?”
“We’re engaged and we’re celebrating,” Ginny said, her lips twitching. “And someone interrupted us this morning.”
Molly shook her head before her eyes twinkled. “Yes, you’re engaged. My baby girl is going to marry the man of her dreams.” She tapped her hand on the large lace scrapbook. “Does that mean we can chat about the wedding now?”
Ginny sighed. “I’m going to regret saying yes, aren’t I?”
Molly waved her off and opened a small planner that she had stacked on top before pulling out a pair or reading glasses from her purse.
“All right, so if we’re looking at July of 2000, we definitely want to do a weekend. Obviously Harry’s birthday is out, but what about the first week of July?”
“Mum, if we make it to the finals next year, I could be playing Quidditch up to the first week of July depending how the matches fall.”
Molly pursed her lips. “Well, that just won’t do. We can’t have you jumping off of your broom and getting married the next day, you’ll need time to decompress and get the last minute things organized. When do you start up again?”
“August twenty-first for training.”
Molly nodded, examining the calendar. “So July twenty-third is a week before Harry’s birthday, almost three weeks before yours which would give you four weeks between marrying Harry and returning to Quidditch giving you time for a honeymoon as well. Do you know where you’d like to go? Paris would be lovely. Or have you thought about some warm island? You could go back to Antigua or go to Greece? Maybe Rome?”
“Mum, let’s figure out the wedding first,” Ginny said, eating her bacon. “The twenty-third sounds great.”
Molly beamed. “All right. The twenty-third of July, two thousand, the day my baby marries Harry Potter,” she exclaimed, tears glistening in her eyes. “All right, I’ve written it down. Godric, you’re going to be a beautiful bride. Now, onto the venue. I do think having it here at Clevedon Court is the best option unless you want to find an outside source somewhere but that makes privacy from reporters a bit harder to hold into play. You’ll need a large venue as once we invite family and friends and plus ones, why just your cousins alone are going to be a big gathering and you and Harry are both becoming rather famous in your own right. We’re probably looking at a few hundred people.”
“A few hundred?” Ginny gasped. “Who are we inviting? All of Wizarding Britain?”
Molly scoffed. “Well, your grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, husbands and wives or plus ones, then children. You have your brothers and nieces and your friends, your teammates, then we’ll have Harry’s family and Zee’s side is a bit large, isn’t it? That’s not including Harry’s friends and colleagues.”
Listening to her mother list them off, she realized Molly was right. There was definitely no way that this was going to be small wedding, not unless they eloped.
“Then you’ll need to think of how many bridesmaids you want and Harry will have to coordinate with groomsmen as we can’t have an uneven number. Plus you’ll want a flower girl and a ring-bearer. And of course we’ll have to find someone respectable to perform the ceremony. The minister who did for Bill and Fleur was an old friend of the Delacour family.”
Ginny’s eyes were wide when Harry came into the kitchen. She watched him peck her mum’s cheek and thank her for breakfast before he sat next to her in his full Auror uniform. She grabbed his hand and mouthed, “save me.”
Harry chuckled as he dug into his breakfast. “So, how’s the planning going so far?”
By the time they finished breakfast, Ginny was already feeling overwhelmed. Harry stood up to leave for work and Ginny grabbed his arm.
“You can’t leave me!” she hissed.
He grinned and kissed her. “You’ll be fine, Gin.”
“You don’t know that. I could have you wearing something atrocious by the time you come home and we could be getting married by a troll.”
“Don’t care,” he said against her lips. “As long as you say ‘I do,’ I’ll be there. Love you. See you tonight.”
She watched him leave, softening at his words, but still feeling a bit of betrayal from him for doing so. She turned back to her mum with a sigh and thought it was going to be a long day.

Sneak Peek: Goblet of Fire — Chapter Twenty-Nine
Link to the main fic here
“I’ll set off at first light.”
“I need you to go now, Sirius—”
“My daughter is still covered in blood,” her father snapped lowly, not meaning for anyone but the two of them to be able to hear, yet failing. “She’s just lost a friend, and Harry had to watch that before being forced to take part in a demented ritual to revive the man who murdered his parents. I will remain here till morning.”
“They won’t be any better off if you leave in the morning, Sirius.”
“It’s hours less that they have to be alone in this.” Her father scoffed, like this was the most ridiculous and offensive conversation he’d ever had. “They should be coming with me! You can’t really think after tonight Harry’s safer with that aunt and uncle of his. And Lyra, she’s my daughter, she should be coming with me regardless! Cedric Diggory was her friend and she’s lost him. I know what that’s like, I can help her—"
“I have use of you, Sirius. I need you.”
“Not more than those kids,” he spat. “Yes, I do.” Dumbledore stepped closer, not as a form of intimidation, but to softly say, “The other side has already set things in motion. Time is of the essence. We need to get word out to ours. This could be the difference between winning and losing. I would not ask you to leave them if it wasn’t.”
