I felt like I dreamt a long dream... A nightmare... so real and vivid.

Alma? Matilda? You guys aren't here?

The castle inside is very quiet... Did I oversleep that much.

Someone—

[goes to open door]

[the hallway is burning]

Dia: What is this...? Even though today's my...

No... No, no...!

[runs]

Dia: Huff huff huff...!

[runs]

Dia: This hallway... isn't supposed to be this long. Just what on earth is happening...!

[darkness]

Dia: ...A dead end...!?

Castle Soldier: Lord Dia, where are you going?

Dia: That voice...! I'm glad I found you, I was searching for you.

The castle inside seems strange. We need to guard the area immediately...!

Castle Soldier: —When you say strange... do you mean something like this?

Dia: ...! What happened, to you! Someone brings the water!!

Male Servant: Water... water...

Female Servant: Hot... it's suffocating... Water...

Dia: Ah.... Ah... Aaah... No way...

—That's right...

Everyone is burned down. The castle, everyone, the people.

—I killed them.

Male Servant: It's your... fault...

Female Servant: You useless prince...

Castle Soldier: If you didn't exist at all...

Dia: ...That's right. That's fine.

Female Servant: I hate you... I resent you...

Male Servant: I'll curse you... even beyond my grave...

Dia: Alright. That's fine. Please never forgive me.

Until my body decays, I'll stay alone... I should keep on living alone.

Matilda: ... I've told you, Lord Dia. I can't. I'd get reprimanded by the Head Maid.

Young Dia: Then, all you need to do is eat it now so that you won't get caught.

Matilda: My, what a naughty prince you are. Then I shall obey the prince's command... nom.

Garden Keeper Christophe: You're coming here to play again, Lord Dia?

Young Dia: Yeah. I'm concerned about the fledglings.

Garden Keeper Christophe: Then please rest assured. Look.

Young Dia: ...! They've grown so big.

Garden Keeper Christophe: Their parents feed them diligently every day after all. I'm sure they'll grow into adult birds just fine.

Young Dia: I see... I'm glad.

Head Maid Alma: Lord Dia. Isn't now supposed to be the time for your kingcraft lessons?

Young Dia: ...! Alma, it's you. What's wrong.

Head Maid Alma: That's what Alma wanted to say. Why is Lord Dia here when he's supposed to be in his room?

Young Dia: That's... t-the teacher said they remember they have something urgent to do... then...

Head Maid Alma: My goodness. For the serious Lord Dia to skip out his lecture. You must have a very grave circumstance.

Since Alma didn't walk through this way, she didn't see anything.

Young Dia: You'd overlook this?

Head Maid Alma: Indeed. Because Alma didn't see anything after all.

Young Dia: Thanks, Alma.

Head Maid Alma: ...Be careful.

Dia: Everyone...

Head Maid Alma: We believe in you, Lord Dia.

Garden Keeper Christophe: Keep yourself safe...

Knight Ralph: I pray that you won't be filled with lonely thoughts.

Matilda: One day... the day of your salvation will come...

Dia: Are these... voices produced by the curse? Or an auditory hallucination...

If that's the case, then this is just my dream.

Head Maid Alma: Come now, prince. Your hand—

Matilda: Reach out your hand.

Garden Keeper Christophe: Hurry... before it's too late...

Dia: ...!

Espada: Lord Dia!!

Dia: Espada...?

Fiori: Jeez, this isn't the place to be idly!

Dia: Fiori...

Espada: Lord Dia. Please stay calm. I'm here by your side.

I will not leave Lord Dia alone.

Fiori: Hey Espada, don't act cool by yourself! There's still me!

Fiori: ... What's wrong? You're strangely honest. Are you really feeling well?

Dia: Yeah.

I seem to be dreaming... I dreamt of the bygone past.

Espada: A... dream?

Dia: That day... the day when the magic disaster occurred. Something unusual has slipped inside the castle.

I chased after its traces, but couldn't catch it.

—This brings me back. This sensation... it feels the same as the one from before.

... There!

[Blitz!]

???: —...!

Fiori: That surprised me...!

Espada: That was...

Dia: We were watched. Likely even before the operation begin.

Espada: Should we pursue it?

Dia: ...Now isn't the time. Purifying the spire is our priority.

Espada: Understood. We have finished tidying for the most part here.

Fiori: We've purified enough that they won't come after us.

Dia: Alright, thanks. I've also secured the shortcut on my side.

Espada: As expected of Lord Dia.

Fiori: We're cutting through the garden like this, right? There's still one spot left unpurified so be careful.

Espada: It's around that garden table huh.

Fiori: Yeah. It's that tea set.

...It's a vestige of someone's pleasant tea time from a thousand years ago.

Espada: ...Lord Dia, let's go.

Dia: Right.

Watching LEGION Season 2. Chapter 9.

Gods this show is so experimental. I love it.

It’s all about the mind and the power it can have once an idea takes ahold of creative and idiosyncratic people. It’s why it so heavily ties into mental health.

I said I wouldn’t do any commentary on my rewatch of this show but it’s just so damn thought-provoking, I can’t help expressing myself on how brilliant it is.

It’s stuff like this that really makes my INTP mind wild. And I’m just soaking all knowledge up like a sponge.

You know it pays well to be mentally predisposed because your preferred currency is information. And it’s always best when that information is open for interpretation and is given very little exposition.

It’s something for me - as the the person I am - to do because I care very little about crazy expensive CGI graphics and all the clever effects and tricks in the book if it’s not giving me anything for my mind to do.

That’s what I care most about with art/entertainment. The mental stimulation and consciousness expansion.

I know we are all worried about the pacing of this season's plot, but let's not forget the past two seasons weren't much different.

The "real action" always started only towards the sixth episode (with Greef's holocall in s1 and Grogu's kidnapping in s2). Before that, we had a general idea of what the quest was, but the stakes weren't too high. Heck, the main antagonist of the show was only introduced in the seventh episode of season 1. The first half of a season usually takes its time with side quests and little hints and installements and then it really delivers in the last 3 episodes.

So yeah, season 3 feels like it's dragging a little bit and the plot sure is less clear than in the precedent seasons, but it's not exactly a huge change from what we've seen in the past.

Does anyone know how long the Kenobi book (John Jackson Miller) takes to get into the story??

I’m listening to the audio book and I’m 4 chapters in and still there’s been no Kenobi POV. I’ve been spoiled by fanfics and their fantastic right-to-business starts. I know none of the characters this author is talking about. I assume they’re all his OCs.

He’s literally laying out a whole community before I figure out whether the chapters are days, months or years after the prologue (the only appearance of Obi-Wan so far)

TWIN RUNES - FAQ

What exactly is this AU about? Twin Runes is essentially a comedic crossover AU between the universes of Deltarune and Undertale. No fancy nicnacs. Just the characters being their chaotic selves. But there might be some darkness lurking up ahead... ____________________

When is the next comic? The comic updates most Sundays at 6:30 PM Central European Time. ____________________

Why is this AU called Twin Runes? The name is more or less a play on the typical naming format of most AU's by featuring the "Runes" part. There are no literal Twin Runes. The whole name is more of a stand in for Undertale and Deltarune as parallel worlds. Hence the "Twin" part. ____________________

When does Twin Runes take place? This AU takes place between a hypothetical Chapter 3 and Chapter 4 of Deltarune. On the Undertale side of things, it takes place post neutral route just as Frisk was about to deliver Undyne's letter to Alphys.

How many pages are there going to be? The script for this comic estimates that the comic is going to be 137 pages long (if I don't make any major changes). ____________________

Is the Player a thing in this AU? The Player(s) lost control over both human children as soon as Frisk entered the world of Deltarune. Essentially, the reader takes the role of the Player. You have no influence on the outcome of the story anymore. All you can do is watch. ____________________

Is there going to be a Weird Route? Due to the lack of Player, all choices made by Kris are now their own. How to engage in battle all depends on Kris, and not the Player. Because of that, there are NO DIFFERENT ROUTES. There is only one route and that one is based on Kris' choices. Because of the lack of save points, there is no "what-if" scenario. ____________________

When Chapter 3 and 4 are released, will it affect the story? Any chapters after Chapter 3 won't affect the story in the grand scheme of things. Twin Runes created a new timeline so to speak. ____________________

How old are the characters in this story? Frisk appears to be around 9 years old. Kris thinks they're 14. (Both Frisk and Kris don't know their actual age.) Chara died when they were around 10-11. Susie is around 15-16 (she was held back once) Ralsei appears to be the same age as Kris. ____________________

What's up with Kris' and Frisk's hair? The red bits of their hair is more or less a representation of their souls. That in turn is also why Chara doesn't have that feature. They are soulless. It's a stylistic choice. ____________________

What's that thing on Kris' chest? It's a scar they got from tearing out their soul.

And why do they have weird lines all over their body? Both Kris and Frisk's anatomy resemble that of ball-jointed dolls. They appear just as markings across their bodies. Think of them as elaborate birthmarks. Kris and Frisk are still made of flesh and blood, but are in fact hypermobile. The reason as to why they do is still a little secret :) People here like to refer to these markings as "puppet limbs". You can get a better look at them and the scar in this artwork

Why does Kris have braces? This is why:

Why is Dark World Frisk green? Frisk changes their main sweater colors with Kris when they enter the Dark World.

Can other ghosts see Chara? (pre Darkner transformation) No, only Frisk and Kris are able to see Chara. ____________________

IS KRIS NOW FRISK'S COUNTERPART OR CHARA'S???? :) ____________________

So, was Chara in the locket all along? No, Chara possessed the locket to become a Darkner. ____________________

Where are Jevil and Spamton? Are they in Castle Town? The Fun Gang have already fought these two in the previous chapters and added them into their inventory. Outside of that little dream sequence, neither will be making an appearance. ____________________

Is anyone from Undertale Yellow gonna make an apperance? Outside of a tiny cameo from Clover (that has no greater bearing on the story) no one from Undertale Yellow is going to make an appearance. ____________________

Is (insert character here) gonna go to the Dark World/underground? With the way the story is going to play out, only the main group will be heading to this new Dark World. The rest of the story will be taking place there. ____________________

How did you come up with the idea of Twin Runes? Twin Runes is an offshoot of a separate script I wrote. It's a similar concept but turned on its head. The funny moments in that script made me just continue what now is the start of Twin Runes. I pretty much just wanted to see if I am actually capable of drawing a comic to begin with. So... in a way Twin Runes is my first attempt at a comic ever. If I ever finish Twin Runes, then I know I can tackle turning that mammoth project of a script into a comic too. In the grand scheme of things these two projects are sister series. They have A LOT in common and even share similar plot elements. When Twin Runes is over you will automatically also know certain mysteries of The Other Script. ____________________

What is The Other Script? As of this moment I call The Other Script: "Lost in the In-Between". At its core it's an inverse of Twin Runes. I.e. Kris falling into the underground and being aided by Frisk on their quest to return home. The story and jokes are a considerably more grounded than in Twin Runes and so are the characters. Though they do have their moments from time to time. The overall mood of that script is a lot darker in nature and it's a 200+ page passion project of mine. ____________________

Am I allowed to make fanart? ABSOLUTELY! You are very welcome to make fanart if you feel like it. Happy 10th anniversary to the GSNK anime!

10 years ago in Japan, the GSNK anime made by Doga Kobo started airing as part of the Summer 2014 season! It was through this adaptation that fans fell in love with the idiotic shenanigans charms of Nozaki&co, and many went on to read the manga to see more of our gang tackling shoujo manga tropes.

The anime adapted Chapters 1-48 of the manga, albeit sadly with a lot of skipped/shortened content (and interesting... changes). However, the adaptation really brought the series to life thanks to the stellar Japanese voice cast, A+ soundtrack, and the animators elevating some scenes with some added wackiness (those two panels of Hori finding himself piggybacked by bull!Kashima, expanded to 40 seconds of the most hilarious riding(?) sequence ever? iconic).

The anime has 12 episodes (plus 6 special mini episodes) and can be currently streamed legally on HIDIVE amongst other sources (depending on your region). It's been dubbed in a few languages, including an English dub by Sentai Filmworks.
