One reason I love and adore Colin Bridgerton is because he is sooooo chaotic. Chaos Colin just adds fuel to Blind Colin and Dumb Boy Colin.
Chaos Colin reached a peak in episodes 4 and 5 because this dude literally went from being super broody to realizing he couldn’t lose his best friend and love of his life in about 5 minutes.
And then in the span of about 12 hours he proceeds to:
Break up Pen’s impending proposal
Chases Pen down in her carriage
Professes his love
Fingers her in said carriage
Proposes marriage
Announces engagement
Goes to confess his love again and instead stands up to Portia Featherington epicly
Takes Pen to their future home
Confesses his love again
Teaches her all about confidence
Pops Pen’s cherry and gets her pregnant
That’s peak Chaos Colin and we live for it. Never change Chaos Colin.

" Your brother is an idiot." You said, gritting your teeth as your mail blew with applicants, beautiful young ladies with peculiar yet remarkable talents.
" That." Benedict catched the grape midair with his mouth," we know of." He added with a cocky grin.
" Read another ! " Colin peppered, stealing your cookies which you ignored, sighing as you opened another mail.
" Tiana Young, twenty-one, I like to read, write and sing, my favourite author is Collen Hoover—" Benedict snorted, " —I like children and hope to be a mother, I am very soft spoken and good natured, my neighbours call me Ti, because I am a tea kinda person—"
" What's a tea kinda person ? " Colin bited the smuggled cookie, Benedict pulled the remaining to his side hastily, you felt your appetite long gone.
" It's like...they are like tea..." Benedict said, more in doubt as he looked for affirmation.
" Like milk tea or another tea ? " You asked, perhaps tea could takeaway your headache.
" What's an another tea ? " Colin's hand began to pull the tray, Benedict frowned but said nothing, taking one hurriedly and breaking it into two parts, offering you the bigger one.
" No thank-you, let me fix this Tiana's appointment." You exhaled, copy pasting a paragraph how (un) grateful you were to her for reaching out, she would soon have her appointment date and bla bla bla.
" I knew my brother was workholic but this wife hunting thingy is so exhausting." Benedict wiggled his eyebrows, you knew he was being kind but he wasn't helping at all.
" It would have been over if his requirements weren't so high, like he's not looking for a wife but some utopian woman god has yet to create ! " You were ranting, you knew, but this was the only way you could stop yourself from punching Anthony for putting you into this misery.
" Why can't he just fall in love ? " Colin looked at you and Benedict seriously, his mouth covered in crumbs, " Come on, love is like...like a force to be reckoned with ! " He beamed, ofcourse it was a force, didn't Penelope wrote something smiliary in her latest book, you somehow felt your heart shuddering, what would happen if Anthony were to be in love, some intelligent, beautiful woman, some utopian goddess of his, you didn't like the idea one bit, so you laughed it off.
" Brother in love ? " Benedict was in stitches, banging his palm on the table, shaking few very important papers that laid without any significance. They will be probably used as napkin if you weren't there.
" It's not funny." Colin got up, taking his coat, he rolled his eyes when Benedict refused to stop laughing, you shaked your head helplessly as another mail popped up, Jasmine had written a essay about global peace and increasing capatilism, you groaned, damn you Anthony bridgerton!
_
" Good evening Anthony." You tapped save on your screen as Anthony entered the office, a beak of sweat trickling down his neck line, okay, someone got either fired or roasted down to their very existence, you preferred the former.
" Good evening y/n." He looked up at you, he worried his jaw to say more but decided against it as he settled on his chair, it was very comfy and very big, years of working with him but you couldn't fathom the courage to ever have a taste, perhaps Benedict would help, maybe then.
" There are twelve appointments I have scheduled for tomorrow, Miss Becka—"
" Cancel them."
" What ?! " You almost shouted, you didn't waste your whole day to adjust and fit these pretty woman according to the time and weather and place and Anthony's mood so nothing went wrong, did he just said cancel them like it was nothing, this—
" We are going out Tommorow, it might take all day so cancel them." Anthony ran a hand through his hair as he exhaled sharply, your brain short circuited at the words more and more made some meaning, we ?! Did he, for heaven's sake said we ?
" You and me ? " You blurted and lowered your gaze when his eyes snapped to you, a deep color blazed your nose as you fiddled with your skirt.
" Yes, me and you." He confirmed and you could swore, that was a smile, a small, thin, almost unrecognisable on his always stern face, but that was a smile.
" Why ? " You closed your laptop, tucking the strands of your hair that usually came out after a long day, behind you ear.
Anthony pressed a key and it beeped, he shifted his face to you, thinking that he was almost frowning and finally, he said with a neutral face.
" I have found a match." His face gave nothing away, " Miss Edwina will be most suitable for marriage." He said it like it wasn't his marriage he was talking about, " she's very graceful and witty and would make a amiable wife and a kind loving mot—"
" Right." You snapped mid course, his mouth was hanging open with words lost in void, you knew very well Miss Edwina was a fine young lady, she was beautiful and kind and sharp at wits, ofcourse this ended your torment or perhaps began another, but not now, you needed to think.
" I..I promised Benedict for dinner. " You muttered, feeling your whole body numb as you stumbled out of your seat, Anthony watched, something glazed in his eyes but you couldn't place it, you might if you looked longer but you had no courage left now. You were almost at the glassy door, he was watching you intently and you felt his gaze burn at your back.
" You like my brother quite very much." He startled you, you paused, heart beats echoing through your throat. It was like he was accusing you, almost jabbing his finger on your chest. What does that mean ?
" What could I say ? He's very amiable." You turned to smile at him, it trembled on your lips and Anthony scoffed slightly, mouth curving in disdain but it was gone as soon as it crossed his face. Damn you !
" Have a nice day sir." You closed the door behind you, covering your face as a muffled scream cut through your cartilage.
_
" Miss Edwina ?! " Benedict almost screamed as you narrowed your eye sternly at him, he lowered his voice in a whisper, ducking his head down towards you, " sorry but Miss Edwina ?! "
" I know, I know." You swigged another gulp of the dizzy bubbling liquid that will give you a terrible headache tommorow but right now, you just wanted this uneasiness feeling to go away.
" Didn't her scary sister vowed to ruin him or something like that ? " Benedict licked his thumb, eye's watering at the spice, you loved this place's Chole bhature very much, last time Benedict cried when he accidentally bited the green masala filled chilly.
" Yeah, she refused to take ahead the Mayfair deal, or something like that, not that it would ruin anything and—" You sighed, leaning back your head as the soft music tickled your senses.
" What ? " You heard his faint murmur.
" Well Anthony was right, as soon as our team announced his engagement, ofcourse not revealing the bride, he's well trending—"
" He's always trending." Benedict groaned, chugging water as his lips were swollen with spiced heat.
" Yes, but not for thirsty things, i meant that Aubreyton is trending and our shares are touching the sky and it's a whole profitable season ahead." You ended breathlessly, you stared at him for full second before both your eye's crinkled with smiles and laughter that came from your hearts, it lightened the air somehow as well as your heart.
" You do remember I am part of the executive board ? " Benedict tilted his head with a warm smile and you shaked your head, feeling tipsy.
" Like you do anything except torment me and poor Colin ! " You pouted, feeling your cheeks flush as Benedict threw his head back and laughed.
" Poor Colin ? " He cooed, " he's probably getting laid tonight." He added with a wink, you slapped his shoulder nervously.
" Penelope replied ? "
" Ofcourse, my dear little brother wrote a whole ass three page message, with a picture of all her books that too hardcover and first editions."
" Wow." You said, impressed, Colin was head over heels, it was only a matter of time since the dazzling author knew.
" And what of Miss Beckett ? " You wiggled your eyebrows like Benedict did when he teased you, he turned a beetroot red as he fumbled with the last contents of his glass.
" She refused for a live in relationship." He said, his face grew sad and you mentally winced for putting him there.
" Oh." You nodded, Sophia lived with her evil mother who liked to see her suffer and she was, afterall, too good of a girl.
" Benedict..." You whispered when he closed his eyes softly, hiding his face behind his palms.
" I am not crying." He was. He sniffed as a few heads turned towards the pair of you, many with sympathy, probably thinking you had refused to marry him or something.
" Hey, hey, hey..." You pulled yourself as you dizzily tripped over to his side, wrapping your arms around him as he melted in your embrace.
" She doesn't understand..." He said it so muffled that it was unable to make out what he said, but you understood it anyway.
" She will, she loves you so much." You kissed his head and he nodded, tears streaking your shirt as he finally emerged with red, sticky face and puppy bright eyes.
" I think i drank too much." He admitted, you nodded, feeling yourself floating too.
" Let's call a cab, we shouldn't drive." You suggested, fiddling with cash as you payed the bill, leaving good tip for the teenager waiter, who smiled kindly at every inner joke Benedict shot.
" Uh huh." He focused hard on his phone, sticking his tongue out like he did when he was really, really drunk and or just really, felt the need to, or he was about to do something stupid, which he did.
Twelve minutes later, Anthony bridgerton was standing outside the restaurant with a heavy frown and it was strange to see him in normal clothes, like that grey t-shirt felt odd yet gorgeous and those sweatpants, you were way too drunk, you realised.
" You'll make a fine gentleman." Anthony curted his mouth, his words dripped with sarcasm that you and Benedict were too drunk to catch on.
" Thankyou, the cab idea was mine." He said smugly, ducking out when you smacked his ass with your purse, Anthony watched with wide eyes.
" Liar." You jabbed at him, he started to giggle and stumbled, taking you along before Anthony grabbed you by the waist and pulled you away from him, Benedict winked at you when Anthony closed his eyes, frustration or whatever that dazed him, his touch was electrifying, like current jostling in water.
Anthony pulled away his arms from you, his eyes strained like it pained him just the same it hurt you.
" You are wasting my time brother, get in the car." He glared, " come." He said to you, his gaze softened but that could be alcohol, you weren't reliable narrator especially when it was Anthony bridgerton.
" Well you could have refused." Benedict ran and sprawled inside like a bear, covering the whole back seat with his wasted body.
" Yes well, I didn't come for y—" he clamped his mouth in a thin line, nerve twitching on his forehead as he breathed hard, eyeing you as you ran after Benedict's seat thievery, you opened the door and his head almost snapped when he looked up you, it was a nauseous enough to make you vomit.
" Move." You pulled his hair, in no hell you will sit in the front seat, not like you haven't, but you were drunk and you were angry and you hated Anthony and you wished so much to just, to just, just once, once just, kiss him hard, that's alcohol, bloody alcohol.
" Leave this idiot." Anthony was suddenly behind you, he touched your elbow with same electric touch, guiding you to the empty front seat as he opened the door, you could feel Benedict wiggling his eye, you will deal with this bastard later.
" I was thinking—" Benedict started, once Anthony started driving, he was shut real quick when Anthony glared with words.
" Stop thinking." Anthony rolled the steering wheel and you looked away, those veins taunted and lured you, it was maddening and the streets were much dull and undistracting.
Benedict giggled at something he probably said in his head, you chuckled when he burped, he did too, only Anthony didn't.
" Don't you have a date tommorow with Mr. Dorset ? " Benedict craned his neck to get a view of you, two Bridgerton's eyes were too much to take as you thought hard, well yes a date, with Mr. Dorset, yes, you did remember.
" Ofcourse." You said, Anthony drifted a turn that jerked your head forward and you would have got a concussion if it wasn't his big palm that came for rescue.
" Are you okay ? " He asked, slowing down the car as his fingers pushed you back until the back of your head was pressed against the seat.
" Yeah." You confirmed, nothing was more threatening than his touch. He should bloody know that.
" Are you okay ? " Benedict mimicked and you realised he was down there, squashed on the car floor, his face hidden somewhere.
Anthony ignored him as his expressions hardened, he was breathing hard as he worried his lips, thinking and thinking.
" You do know it might take all day." Anthony finally said and you cocked your head to his side, you were drunk and well, sleepy too.
" What ? Well, it's a dinner date." You assured, Mr. Dorset wasn't letting go and a Thai curry wouldn't hurt anyway.
" Yes well, it might be very late." He was frowning now, his eyes were on the road but he would glance between nano seconds.
" Really ? " You pouted, you were way too gone now, it didn't matter, Anthony's eyes stopped at your lips and when he looked up, something changed, like it must have changed a long ago but it's colours were only visible now, like moon hiding behind the clouds, beaming but not seen and when it's finally high, hanging at sky, you blinked, expecting it to be gone, like everything, but when you opened your eyes, it was still there, as clear as ever, shimmering at you. That's alcohol, bloody alcohol.
" Yes.." Anthony gulped hard, pulling at Benedict's apartment, how much he wanted sophie to built a home with him, soon, you thought, soon.
" Oi y/n, I think I found your lipstick." Benedict hopped up, his face had lines where because he didn't bother to get up once he had fallen, with a shade that you never used in your whole lifetime, Anthony looked away when you tried to catch his eyes.
" That's not mine." You said, feeling anger creep up your neck, not knowing why, it's not that you were the only one who sat in his car and ofcourse you weren't his girlfriend, you weren't his friend even, he was your boss, you were his assistant, that's it, that's fucking it, you really wanted to punch his face, that's bloody alcohol, you would never drink again.
" Benedict, my brother." Anthony took the lipstick away which Benedict was trying to apply on himself, " get the fuck out."
" Goodbye to you too brother." He leaned to smooch Anthony when he hastily pulled away, growling.
" Bye bye sweetheart." Benedict smooched your cheek then and his lips only touched your warm skin before Anthony pushed him back in the back seat, it was, kinda rough.
" You are drunk." He told Benedict who shrugged, blinking heavily.
"He always kissed me goodbye." You glared at Anthony, this freaking bastard, chew on your lipstick, Idiot. You leaned down to kiss Benedict's cheek and he giggled softly, eyes locked with Anthony, his wide bastard grin flashing, glittering as Anthony eye rolled.
When Benedict was dropped, it was your turn, Anthony stared ahead like a statue, you were suffering in your own head.
The silence became heavy in air as the music was either tragic or too loud for your head and Anthony sensed the discomfort, turning it off altogether.
" What are we going to do actually? Venue deciding or something." You finally spoke, remembering how much you stared and stared when the article popped up, Anthony bridgerton looking for a wife !! You remembered the qualification list, should be well spoken, should be linguistic, should want kids, should be family loving, should be this, should be that, should have good enough hips to bear a child like what ?!
You remembered days and days when he would have his appointments, yes appointments, most of times he was out within five minutes, a frown on his face.
" She doesn't know algebra." He said one time when he came out within two minutes and you shrugged, well algebra was hard afterall.
And now Miss Edwina had ended all your miseries and torture, no lists, no more algebra's and Collen Hoover's, nothing of that anymore, Anthony would be a husband soon and perhaps he would love her, or already love her, he was so determined even when Kate sharma threatened to cut deals with Aubreyton if didn't stop sending flowers, well that was your doing, sending flowers because it was your idea, but well, it didn't matter.
" Well not the venue, but wedding ring and wedding dresses, Mother say we match and cake tasting and flowers—" we.
" When's the wedding ? " You looked at him scornfully, Anthony's eyes lowered at you as he stopped the car.
" Next week." Fuck you Anthony!
" Shouldn't you decide that with Miss Edwina herself ? " You were glad, but you had this feeling that he would be taken away from you, once married, he might not be yours, he was never yours, but still, why not start now ?
He frowned like it wasn't the most sensible and obvious thing.
" I..." He hesitated, " Miss Edwina might not want to go, since the wedding is too near and also, to keep it a private engagement."
" Oh." You didn't get a thing, your mind wasn't working as Anthony leaned down to open your door, you freezed, only your heart thudded loudly, could he hear ? What he did to you, well it wouldn't surprise you if he knew and still chose to torture your poor soul. " Why not state it publicly ? "
" I can't deal with the fanfictions." He said in matter of factly way. " And paparazzi giving Edwina trouble." Don't say her name, don't.
" Fanfictions ?! " You laughed so loud that he actually stopped thinking whatever he was, and just looked at you, as if taking in every detail, savouring them, drinking every bit of you in, he looked like he was mesmerized but that was just alcohol, just your silly heart, just you, who had read all those one shots, about you and him, ofcourse you weren't going to admit it and ofcourse you would be quite dammed if you ever saw Anthony getting shipped with Edwina Sharma, they are getting married in a week idiot, yes, but not today, not now, later, when it was time, please, not now. Later, now he was yours.
" You have a good choice either way." He was, for no reason, walking you to your door, you remembered how Benedict was practically kicked out earlier, he would tease you so much if you were to ever tell him.
" Oh please." You chuckled, rubbing your hands together in the chilly air, " I gifted Benedict onesies on his birthday."
Anthony smiled, it didn't leave his face until he caught you staring and you noticed how different he looked, when those lines were of joy instead of worry, he looked young and his boyishness made your heart do cartwheels.
" That was just a joke." He amused, " wasn't it ? " His smile faltered when you shaked your head in a no, fumbling for you keys.
" It wasn't so bad." Anthony said, somewhat traumatised, " Benedict wore them anyway."
" It had penguins ! " You cringed at the memory, a drunkish Polaroid like, blurred and saturated, it was vivid but just like yesterday, Anthony didn't dance until you were both so drunk, perhaps he smiled back than too, and looked just as dazzling.
" You are good y/n." Anthony said sincerely, " stop being mean to yourself." You opened the door but your hands freezed at the doornob, why Anthony had to cut the right wires, why he had to upside down your whole world ?
" Well, same to you Anthony." You said, he lingered on the doorway more than he should, it was alcohol, it really, really was but no amount of gaslighting could blur the memory away, you always remembered how brave you were that night when you leaned down, one step not much, and placed a small, chaste kiss, just a brush of your lips against his blazing skin. A touch to his soul, it sparkled and rose and busted into a thousand orbs and sprinkled like glitters on you and him.
" Good night." You whispered, Anthony stared, too stunned to say anything, then he smiled, small and enchanting.
" Good night y/n." His smile stayed.

Since I'm having fun with these take on BridgertonS3 I've asked the best comunity on Tumblr to give me some more Colin "I'm unhinged" Bridgerton moments, so I have some more inspiration (thank you @rottentiger-art ).
Let's recap the wildest day the Ton has ever seen, and they thought Anthony was the wild one (while we know it's all downhill from here on).
I'll start even a moment before the ball, because Colin doesn't want to got the ball at all and he is snappy with Violet. After that he contemplates a candle for along time, thinking montage style of all the moments with Pen, until he decides that he's done thinking and it's time to acting. Love that for him.
Tumblr media
Of course, he decided the most unhinged, chaotic course of action is to stop mid dance to talk with Pen. Debling who? She could have been dancing with the Pope and it would not matter for Colin. Then, he decided to make a waste land so dry no marriage can grow up on by reinforce every single doubt Pen has and making them loud enough for everyone to hear.
Tumblr media
But he is just started. He goes after that carriage, gets on his knees and just lays out his heart. Proceed to look at her like he wants to devour her (and here we meet Colin "boobs - Pen's boobs specifically - are my religion) and than take propriety so far away it is not even register. After ruining Pen by giving her a couple of fingers, he pops the question in the most chaotic way possible.
Tumblr media
He follows that to present her as her fiance without even talking with Portia. Goes to sleep I'm supposed (while Pen is wide awake for a lot of reasons I believe, so awake she manages to write and send to print the Whistledown issue, talking about matching his freaks... Unhinged edition lol)
Tumblr media
The morning after he goes into her house, tell her mother down and reminds everyone this is a love match. He didn't say my wife but he did say our bridgerton name, which is about the same thing. Then, he takes her hand and goes alone with her - Portia doesn't know where or why.
Tumblr media
He takes her at their future house, and decide - with her consent of course - that enough is enough, so let's make things official. Sets the standards of their relationship with a first time for the ages, puts a baby in her and gives her indescribable pleasure (Pen's words, not mine).
Tumblr media
Their engagement party is tame comparing to the rest of the unhinged stuff he is done in less than a day, if you think about it.
Tumblr media
But tbh, I love a man that once he is done thinking, he just goes for it, commits to the bit, and delivers. Everyone mistakes Colin for a quiet one, but then he sneaks by and surprises you (remember Daphne's words in season two?).
A day that will remain in history for sure.

I love Season 3 of Bridgerton so much (Part 2)
I loved Colin and Penelope's story. The Lady Whistledown reveal, the angst, oh, it was perfection. I thought the mirror scene was immaculate and just nailed their friends-to-lovers vibe perfectly. Also, Colin asking for consent at each step is so hot, but we digress. The whole of part 2 had me stressing, with all the Whistledown angst, but I did desperately enjoy the fact that despite how angry Colin was, there was never any doubting his love for Penelope, like they got married and he stroked her fac during their wedding dance (which was another wonderful scene) while he was still upset. This is true Colin 'My Wife' Bridgerton behaviour. Luke Newton and Nicola Coughlan did amazingly well in their roles, particularly in the most heated and emotional moments. Penelope was wonderful as well, the fact that she was willing to give up Whistledown was so important, but the way it ended, with her not having to give it up was even better, in my opinion. It helps the show maintain its natural dynamic with the narrator in Julie Andrews, while neatly bringing the Whistledown storyline to a close. Also, the ending, with Polin's son inheriting the Featherington estate has pulled that storyline to a close as well, with the Featheringtons properly secured. I enjoyed the growth that both Colin and Penelope went through in Part 2 and it felt like a natural continuation from Part 1, although Debling did just kinda vanish.
Speaking of disappearing suitors, Lord Samadani also vanished after Part 1. I think this was able to happen because Queen Charlotte became so entangled with Whistledown, she stopped caring about the Season and the Diamond, otherwise she may have tried to push Lord Samadani at Francesca a little more. Francesca and John were just beautiful in Part 2, their engagement and wedding was sweet and low-key and fit them both perfectly. I was pleased to see that Francesca flourished with John and she in turn, was able to help him become a little more comfortable among her chaotic family. Francesca is also my bi-icon. I will love her forever. The definition of Gay Panic when Michaela Stirling walks in. I do like that Francesca teaches Violet that love does not always have to be exactly as she experienced it, and Violet explains how she fell in love, which we see happen for Francesca when Michaela walks in. I think Francesca is still in love with and happy with John, she's just had her bi-awakening and does not know what to do about it.
Speaking of bi-icons, Benedict Bridgerton has finally, properly entered the ring after 2.5 seasons of humming and harring. While I was not the biggest fan of the fact that it was introduced via a threesome that just kept popping up between heartfelt or emotional scenes, I am glad the writers committed to it, even though when push came to shove, Benedict avoided the commitment and ran away, again. I think his season is next due to his chats with Eloise right at the end of the season (swing chats, my beloved).
Eloise did well in Part 2. Her anger was mostly as a protection for Colin and I was pleased to see her mature and grow into an adult. She and Penelope had some beautiful growth, with Eloise learning that while Whistledown was not necessarily kindly written, it did not lie and Penelope had tried warning Eloise multiple times about hanging around Theo. Penelope also had growth in being willing to give up Whistledown which I think helped Eloise's understanding significantly and also with her promise to write more carefully in the future. I was so pleased to see the two of them being friends again. I had missed them. I also think that a trip to Scotland will help Eloise expand her horizons, possibly allowing her to understand the ton a little more as well, preparing her for her story in Season 5 I hope. I do however think that Eloise's treatment of Cressida was a little callous, but she can't win them all.
Cressida is an interesting one. Personally I am still not her greatest fan, however, seeing why she was so desperate to escape did bring motive to her claiming Whistledown's identity, even if it was not the most well thought out plan. Jessica Madsen did an excellent job with providing depth and clarity to Cressida's story and I will be at least a little interested to see where it goes from here. Also, reading what the Cowpers thought of the Bridgertons was truly shocking (and hilarious) and you can see that Cressida's mean girl persona comes from her mum, solidified by her dad's pressure.
Queen Charlotte did exceptionally well for me this season. I could truly feel the power she weilds and how dangerous it would be to go up against her so blatantly as Whistledown had. I did appreciate Lady Danbury basically telling QC that her life would become infinitely more boring if she were to truly put an end to Whistledown and Brimsley with QC is an unstoppable duo, particularly after QC:ABS.
Lady Danbury, another highlight of the season. Her scenes with Marcus Anderson and with Violet are among some of my favourite in the whole show and I'm gonna use another post to talk about Violet and Marcus and Agatha, because this post is ridiculously long and I could talk about this particular plot for days. I was pleased to see Agatha helping the Mondrichs get settled and happy to know that she had suspected Penelope was Lady Whistledown. It makes sense, as she is the most perceptive in the ton. I was a little upset that we didn't get to see much of Polin and Lady Danbury interacting, but I can see why. It almost felt more powerful for it to just be them trying to figure out their problems together.
The Mondrichs. I enjoyed their story, it was good, nice to see them get settled into society once and for all. It felt like a natural conclusion from the three season with them hosting a successful ball for the season.
The Featheringtons, I will admit, they impressed me. Their ball was a success, and their comedic timing was immaculate once more. Seeing the development that Penelope and Portia went through was excellent and very much needed for Penelope to have a healthy relationship with Portia. I enjoyed that Portia stayed true to her word and stuck by Penelope during the LW reveal etc. But I was also amazed by Colin's speech when Portia was insulting Penelope in Ep5, because those assumptions were rude and insulting to Penelope and to Colin and she needed to be brought down a few pegs in order to develop properly. It was also nice to see the three sisters getting along, to an extent, in the final scene. I also though that Violet and Portia were excellent together. Props to Ruth Gemmell and Polly Walker for somehow managing to infuse so much awkwardness into the 5 minutes they shared on screen, simple and pure comedy, I loved it. Also pleased to see that the Featherington boys continue to be Husbands first and men second.
Also Kanthony was nice, glad to see them helping Colin out. Violet really brought in the heavy artillery for her fighting newly-weds. Also pleased to see Kate take on the older sister role and Anthony literally being the most besotted man on the planet.
Gregory and Hyacinth were also excellent. I feel like the sibling scenes really thrived in part 2.

Note
🧠 how about your fav headcannon for each bridgerton sibling?
Anthony - is as invested in all of his nieces and nephews as he is with his own children. Any of his siblings or in-laws concerns for their own children become his concerns and he always does everything he can to assist the younger generation. He insists on paying for the best doctors should he hear of any nibling falling ill, and he is listed as the first port of call for any of his nephews attending Eton should a matter need to be discussed seeing as he's the most local.
Benedict - hosts art sessions at Aubrey Hall during the summer for his nieces and nephews who want to learn. He takes great pleasure in guiding them and showing them different art forms, and he's lucky that the kids who have shown an interest are all on the quieter and more retiring side. Benedict actually uses the art sessions as a way of weaseling his way out of seeing after the more chaotic children and as soon as he hears screaming and shouting from somewhere in the house, he simply gets up and shuts the door of the drawing room he's in with his group, pretending as if he heard nothing at all.
Colin - when Agatha turns three he gifts her a kitten, who she is immediately besotted with and carries around with her all the time. He had hoped to get revenge on Benedict naming the feral cat that roams around My Cottage after him, and tells Agatha that the kitten's name is Ben with a petty little grin - except, Agatha doesn't agree with the kitten's name and keeps calling him Bobby. When Colin snapped at her to call the kitten Ben, his little girl burst into tears and he realised he was putting his petty little gripe with his brother above Agatha's happiness, and he apologised by getting a collar with Bobby's name engraved to cheer her up.
Daphne - starts a hunting club for the Bridgerton ladies and competes with the men every year at Aubrey Hall with who can collect the most kills. Kate, Eloise, and Lucy make up the rest of the group and though they are outnumbered by the men, it's Daphne's strong-willed determination to best her husband and brothers that leads to the women's victory every single year, much to Anthony's chagrin.
Eloise - one of her favourite things to do as a parent is host little tea parties with her children, as well as her nieces and nephews. She quite happily sits in a chair far too small for her, let's one of the kids pop a funny hat on her, and she sits and converses with them just as she would with Penelope. She never puts on a softer voice or dumbs herself down for the children, treating them with the same respect and grace as she would anyone else.
Francesca - knits baby blankets for each and every one of her niblings. Following her miscarriage and during the years where she yearned for a baby, making the blankets made her feel melancholy for a life she was missing out on but she persisted nonetheless as it still brought her great joy to visit the nursery at Aubrey Hall and see her infant nieces and nephews snuggled up or clutching the blankets she had lovingly made.
Gregory - for whatever reason I think he'd really be into bird-watching. Hunting has never interested him and he much prefers to admire and watch game birds, and can quite happily sit still and watch in fascination as the birds go about their business. He'd have even picked up on and learnt to mimic bird calls and whistles, and later on with his nine children he has a specific bird call or whistle allocated to each of them that he uses to summon whichever one he's in need of.
Hyacinth - spent the last few years of Lady Danbury's life dutifully by her side and was as devastated as Gareth when she passed away peacefully in her sleep. She inherited a lot of Lady D's personal possessions including her jewellery, hats, and her walking stick (or as the great lady had coined herself; the stick of death). Hyacinth vowed to keep Lady Danbury's legacy alive and would regularly scare the shit out of her brothers when they heard the familiar smacking of the stick of death against the floor echoing down the hall, only for her to enter the room with the walking stick and laugh in their faces.

Soo one of Anthony’s sisters loves Kate’s show in Buttons. Can we see her reaction to learning her brother is dating an actress from that show??
Ahh This is fun
(Don’t worry everyone the Buttons spice is coming)
But let’s see how chaotic it was when TV’s Kate Sharma (BAFTA nominee) met The Bridgertons
“Anthony, darling I thought we better discuss what we’re doing for your birthday this year.” His mother’s voice had sounded casual as he sat in the kitchen only a few weeks into his new relationship, and he’d barely suspected that she had an ulterior motive. But of course she had.
Anthony had shrugged, his hands in fists on the table. “Dinner here’s fine. Just like always.”
He was doomed to recreate it. Every year just the same as the one two days before his father had died.
His mum had hummed, kissing his forehead as she walked past, swatting Colin away from the stove. “Alright, dinner for ten then, Daphne’ll bring Simon so no hitting please.”
And it had risen up in him, what he’d been meaning to say for weeks, bursting to. “Um. Can I bring my girlfriend Kate?”
The entire room had fallen silent, his mother tossing a sharp look around in a clear Don’t you lot dare spoil this for me! Before a shuddering breath had escaped her.
“Of course, Sweetheart. We’d love to meet Kate. Who is…? Very pretty? The mother of my future grandchildren? Blonde? Brunette? Auburn?? Rainbow haired?”
He’d bitten back a smirk “Not pretty, Stunning. I hope so, and Brunette.”
He’d gone home and barely noticed he hadn’t said her last name and perhaps in hindsight. Given the chaos that ensued, he should have given them some forewarning. Should have known that his family could not be trusted in a social situation that required even a little tact.
“I totally get it, if you’re not ready to meet my family.” Anthony had said as he lay in bed that night, Kate’s head cushioned against his chest.
Kate had rolled her eyes, “You met my sister. And My Mum saw your dick.”
Anthony flushed at the memory of walking confidently from Kate’s shower last week, not a stitch of clothing on, forced to cover himself with his hand when he found not Kate but another woman in the living room who’d raised her eyebrow and said
“Kate just popped out to get some milk, you must be Anthony. Lovely to meet you.”
“I think I can sit through dinner with yours.”
And his heart had pounded in his chest, happy and content as he always was these days.
“Babe, I’m really sorry, we’re running over today, we can’t get this fucking shot done.” Kate’s voice had been aching with apology when she’d called him just hours before they were supposed to leave.
“Oh. Um. That’s okay, I’ll just see you at home, it’s fine.”
Kate had sighed, “It’s definitely not okay. It’s your birthday and I want to be there for you and meet your family, just text me the address and I’ll be there as soon as I can.”
And for some reason it had made tears spring to his eyes, someone going out of their way to spend time with him, like no one had in years.
“Kate, I love you.”
There’s been silence on the other end of the phone, for a long stretch, he could hear people calling for her in the background before her own voice said a little distantly
“I just need a minute.” And then it was stronger in his ear again. “Okay, really unfair of you to tell me that when I can’t drag you to the bedroom but I love you too.”
He’d grinned the entire way to his mum’s, brushed off any remarks about his imaginary girlfriend from Daphne and sat, eagerly awaiting Kate’s arrival in the living room, Hyacinth chatting his ear off about this book she was reading where someone’s mother had been killed by pigeons.
He sprung out of his seat the second a knock sounded at the door, desperate to finally see her and there she was. A bright smile on her face, her hair falling around her in a chaotic tumble her stage makeup still on, a cake box held delicately in her hands.
“Hi, I’m looking for my boyfriend?”
Anthony grinned: “ooof lost boyfriend. What’s he look like?”
Kate smirked “He’s like six foot? Brown hair? Dick like an elephant and knows how to use it? Answers to Galahad?”
“Yeah I think I’ve seen him around somewhere.” He couldn’t keep the smile off his face tugging her into the house, making her step between his legs, his lips meeting hers for a long moment.
“Happy birthday, Babe, I love you.”
“Holy fucking shit.” Daphne’s stunned voice cracked through the hallway before Anthony could respond, startling them both.
“You’re Kate Sharma.”
Kate peered curiously around Anthony, a smirk on her lips, On my better days, yeah.”
“Mum!” Daphne screeched down the hall clearly stunned.
Anthony heard his mother bustling through the hall, clearly holding back a sprint
“Is she here?!”
Anthony groaned “I’m so sorry for what’s about to happen.”
His mum appeared in the hallway her eyes already scouting around curiously, and then her mouth fell open. “Anthony, sweetheart. You said you were bringing your girlfriend, Kate.”
Anthony’s brow furrowed, “This is my girlfriend, Kate.” He held up their clasped hands a little petulantly.
“That’s Kate Sharma from Knottsville.”
It was odd really, he’d seen the show, seen most of the things Kate had been in actually, but he never really thought of her that way. Never thought of her as anything but Kate.
Footsteps pounded in the hallway the entire clan of Bridgertons appearing curiously over Daphne’s shoulder.
Kate cleared her throat. “Mrs Bridgerton, it’s so lovely to meet you, and I’m so sorry I’m late. We had a problem with our horses not wanting to run in the rain and then Michael-”
“You we’re filming with Michael Stirling?!” Anthony didn’t even know who asked it. Sighing with frustration as Colin said
“But you told Frederick not to call on you anymore at the end of last season! You’re marrying Andrew!”
Anthony looked bemusedly at him.
“I have varied interests Anthony, mind yours.”
“Kate, this might sound odd but I have a poster of you on my wall.”
What sixteen year old Gregory was doing with a poster of Kate on his wall he’d really rather not think about but he’d be confiscating that before he left tonight.
“I’m sorry, I have to say it: You’re even more stunning in person.” His mother was nearly fainting with excitement.
“I’m sorry, does everyone know who this is?!” Anthony snapped a little wildly, “Am I the only person who didn’t recognize her immediately.”
His mother tutted. “Oh Anthony sweetheart you’re a little behind.”
Anthony looked to Kate for back up who cleared her throat awkwardly. “I was a little surprised you didn’t recognize me when we first met.”
“Right! Well! Jesus!” He turned back to his family, panic welling in his chest. “While your shock and concern’s touching, I assure you, Kate and I are dating.”
“Kate, blink twice if Anthony’s holding you hostage.”
And for some ridiculous reason, as Kate threw back her head and laughed, the house ringing with the music of it, he didn’t have it in him to care about any of it.
The only thing he cared about was the kiss she left against his cheek her lips brushing his ear as she said “You couldn’t pay me to be anywhere else.”
Anthony still left with Greg’s poster though. He wasn’t feeling that generous.

Hello again! I’ve been on vacation this week so I’m just dropping stuff left and right. Who knows what will happen when I go back to work on Monday?
Please enjoy this chaotic proposal ficlet. Rated T.
Snippet!
Penelope sat at her desk in the study, formerly Eloise’s bedroom; Colin’s empty desk faced her. Her boyfriend had provided quite a lot of inspiration to her latest romance novel, and now she worked on tying up loose ends. But where was Colin? He had been popping out at random times on secretive errands. Distracted from her work, she let her eyes wander around the room. All traces of Eloise were gone, except for a few family photographs. Framed pictures of Colin’s travels dotted the walls, along with the covers of Penelope’s published works. Bookcases covered the one windowless wall from floor to ceiling, an organized chaos of tomes, souvenirs, and knickknacks.
It was hard to believe that it had been three months since her flatmate of five years had moved out, replaced by Eloise’s brother. Colin had unpacked his bags that very same day, filling up the empty space in the apartment with his boisterous laughter and boyish charm. She had gotten out of the shower to find his socks “cuddling” with her own, his clothing meshed haphazardly in the other drawers.
“Colin, are you… moving in?” she had asked slowly.
“Obviously. Unless you want me to keep sleeping on the couch?” His puppy dog eyes had been ruined only slightly by the faint quirk of his lips. “It seemed silly to keep living out of a suitcase.”

Not to be dramatic or anything, but I would die for your Bridgerton AU fanfic, I love it sooooooo much!!! I have one question though, do you plan to include more of the other Bridgerton siblings? I mean, we already got a glimpse of Anthony and a hint at Eloise, do you have ideas/headcanons about the rest of them?
keepitcoolkeepitcoolkeepitcool
I’m pretty sure this is the first anon ask I’ve ever got about my writing, so hey nonnie! It’s so flattering to hear you like my fic that much!
In terms of the fic, Anthony will probably be the one who gets mentioned the most but *spoilers* I have a ~dinner scene in mind for the next chapter where other Bridgertons pop up. As for the headcanons...
RIGHT. They’re all a bit of chaotic messes in my head. For different reasons. Also - fair warning, this is all quite tongue-in-cheek.
Anthony’s graduated a year ago and moved to Clapham cause he wanted his space (I mean boy lives in a houseshare with 3 other people plus Benedict) and that’s where all the Oxbridge grads move. He’s got a cushy consultancy job but he still goes back to Cambridge ALL. THE. TIME for ~reasons.
Benedict studied sculpture at St Martins College architecture before intermitting (he still hasn’t told Violet but it’s not really a secret). He’s either crashing in Anthony’s flatshare or somewhere in Hackney warehouses. He’s gonna go back to uni, he just needs figure some things out.
Colin is def one of the gap yah types. He went backpacking through South East Asia after his A-levels to find himself and now brings it up a lot. Like a lot a lot. During their house parties, Anthony and Benedict have a drinking game going where they have to down their drink whenever Colin’s when I was on my gap yah comes up. They’re off their tits within an hour.
Eloise had an offer for Oxford but turned it down to make a statement and just started at Bristol to do Philosophy and French instead. She sends Guardian opinion pieces with comments IN ALL CAPS to the family group chat, goes on Extinction Rebellion marches and has 🌹in her twitter bio. Daphne's got a video of her chanting oh Jeremy Corbyn somewhere on her phone.
Francesca’s in 6th form and she doesn’t really know what she wants to do next. She’s got a grade 8 in piano, so she could technically apply to Royal Academy of Music (that was the plan). But lately, she’s just confused and questioning everything. All the studies Eloise shares about how disadvantaged women are in the workforce really don’t help.
Gregory and Hyacinth are babies. Not literal babies but everyone treats them as such. They were too little to get involved when older Bridgertons were getting into scruffles so now everyone just babies them. Especially since most of their older siblings don’t live at home most of the time. Gregory loves it cause he gets tons of sweets when they visit. Hyacinth - not so much cause she’s 12 and not a little girl anymore, thank you very much, and her sisters keep having these weird chats and she just wants to be involved.
This got a bit out of hand, sorry nonnie!

Hi!! I love your reviews and would love to hear which Bridgerton books and couples are your favorite and least favorite so far. I have mixed feelings about these books (and the TV series), though overall the good outweighs the bad for me, and I love characters like Eloise and Penelope too much to ever stay away :)
Hello there lovely! I'm so glad to hear you enjoy my book reviews, that means so much! I swear 80-90% of my life is obsessing over books I love or want to read so it's always wonderful to meet with like-minded people. Seriously. I get little a thrill every time I meet a new one! :-D
Anyway, so far I've read the first five novels of the Bridgerton series. I imagine I'll get to the rest of them in due time. Like you, I also have mixed feelings about the books and show (there are some problematic elements in both, right?) but even so, they're mostly enjoyable. I love the big family dynamic with all of the siblings. It's warm and chaotic, with roughhousing and ribbing and sarcasm, plus all the "proper" way one's supposed to approach love and marriage given the time period. The Bridgerton family is a little reminiscent of the Bennets from Pride and Prejudice to me because of that. I love how they're always butting into each other's lives, how Violet's essentially scheming to get them all married off, one-by-one. Granted, she's not quite as advantageous-minded or nervous-hysterical as our dear Mrs. Bennet but it's that same Helicopter Mom energy. She also has a sweet, sensitive, and caring side to her which means she yearns to see all her children happily settled so naturally she's one of my favorite characters.
Ship-wise, my favorite pairing is definitely Penelope and Colin. Romancing Mister Bridgerton is my favorite of the series as well. I really enjoyed the Lady Whistledown subplot of that book. Plus, I think their friends-to-lovers dynamic is well developed. It took a different tack than I was expecting!
Kate and Anthony rank a close second. Like, super close. They have the enemies-to-lovers arc I salivate over in books. Also, I think I laughed the hardest throughout The Viscount Who Loved Me because of all the ridiculous situations they find themselves in together. There's the corgi chasing, the Pall Mall, the tumbling into a lake, the sucking out of bee poison--I just can't.
I want to say that Eloise and Phillip and Sophie and Benedict are tied for my next favorites. There were things I liked about both these ships and others I didn't care for, which, ironically, came down to how the heroes treated/talked/reacted to the heroines in certain moments.
Plot-wise, though, I liked To Sir Phillip, With Love better than An Offer From a Gentleman. I think I was more drawn to the idea of Eloise and Phillip falling in (idealized) love over letters first than I was to another same old-same old Cinderella retelling. Also, the former has the BEST sibling scene. I love it when all the Bridgerton brothers come charging into the house to "defend" Eloise's honor. It's hysterical. The kids were a nice addition to that book, too.
As for The Duke and I, you know, I think I'd rank the book and ship (Daphne and Simon) higher if only it weren't for that one awful scene where she tricks/manipulates him with alcohol. I HATE IT SO MUCH. It poisoned the overall story/dynamic for me, which sucks because I truly did enjoy the fake courting. And the fact that they forged a relationship built on mutual respect and friendship first. C'est la vie, am I right?
If we're talking specifically about characters now, females in particular, I will protect Penelope Featherington with my life! She harbors a lot of similar insecurities as I do so I couldn't help but relate to her. Kate and Eloise are fabulous as well. Kate has the fiery, I'm the oldest and am protective of my younger siblings, take no prisoners attitude I have myself but want more of in spades. And Eloise...she's just so endearing! I really do love that she has no filter whatsoever. She simply HAS to share what's going through her head. Sophie is a darn precious peach, too. She has this pure-heartedness to her. I also have a soft spot for Mama Bridgerton as well, like I mentioned before.
Out of the boys, I have to say Colin is my favorite. He's just so damn charming and agreeable! He's also a bit cavalier in the beginning, not really paying attention to what's in front of him, so his growth is the a lot of fun to witness. Anthony comes next. I love me a good brooding hero. You might say I have a soft spot for them. I don't know, there's just something so delicious about a repressed man who opens up, blossoms, only for the woman he loves, you know? Simon was a decent character overall, too. I liked some of his backstory, particularly the daddy issues and the speech impediment. He overcame a lot.
Benedict and Phillip I wanted to love more than I did. Benedict had a tendency to be a little patronizing with Sophie, getting angry, refusing to listen to reasons why she declined to be his mistress. As for Phillip, I did enjoy his nerdy side and how he was so invested in his plants. He didn't treat Eloise too great, though. He could be rather peevish and petulant. I didn't like hearing how he viewed being married to Marina, who was mentally ill, at all.
How about you? Who are your faves and least faves? Anyone you wish who would've been in the narrative more? Personally, I thought Amanda could've end up having her own whole book instead of just a happily ever after epilogue. And I would've loved to see more of Lady Danbury! I so relished her popping up in book 4.

I know you’ve kind of touched upon this previously & in your writing but when Sophie worked as a maid for the Bridgertons, when did each of them realise there was something between Ben & Soph? Or what was the moment for each of them that made them realise? 🧐 I mean Violet probably knew straight away but I’ve always wondered when exactly people knew & also what went through their head as Ben showed up for surprise visit the 123 time that week 😂
So I agree that Violet knew the moment Benedict introduced Sophie to her, but as for his siblings and in-laws;
Anthony: had been encouraging Benedict to settle down (if he could get a Kate, he was sure his brother could find his own Kate) but noticed his brother seemed distracted since he returned from Wiltshire, when he notices his brother exchanging charged gazes with their sisters lady's maid, he goes to his mother to reveal this big news to her only to be told by Violet that he was very slow on the uptake since everyone else was well aware there was something between Benedict and Sophie, leaving him disgruntled that no one felt the need to mention any of this to him
Colin: as soon as his mother told him that his sisters new lady's maid had been brought to Number Five by his brother, he just knew there was something between them, though it wasn't until he saw them in the same room together after Benedict had fallen off of his chair and Sophie had come racing over to check he was alright that he realised that there was a deeper connection between the pair and that his brother was quite literally head over heels for Sophie
Daphne: following the chaotic afternoon in which Benedict came to Sophie's aid, she noticed how adoringly Sophie looked to Benedict as he held Caroline and she also noticed the way her brother gazed back at her with equal adoration in his eyes, then once she was informed that Benedict had met Sophie back in Wiltshire and had brought her to London, she knew for certain that the pair were in love and had most likely formed an attachment at My Cottage
Eloise: the first to know that there was something between the pair, when Benedict had returned home from Wiltshire and she began wittering away to him, she realised he wasn't even remotely paying any attention to her, looking straight past her to where Sophie was sat with their sisters, and she knew in an instant that her brother was in love and infatuated with the woman he had insisted his mother hired as the girls lady's maid, she had wondered if the feeling was returned but all it took was her notice of Sophie glancing at Benedict before blushing and shyly looking away for her to know assuredly that both parties were deeply in love with the other
Francesca: when Benedict popped round the day after bringing Sophie to Number Five she had thought it sweet of him to check in on the lady's maid to make sure she was settling in alright, it was only when he returned a second time that very same day that she cottoned on that her brother was in love, and it was upon his third visit where Sophie had dropped the pins she was dressing her hair with upon the announcement he would be joining them for dinner that confirmed her curiosity that her new lady's maid possessed the greatest of affections for her brother
Gregory: didn't know until he was summoned from Eton for the wedding day, got given the lowdown by Hyacinth and was confident had he been present he too would have picked up on the love between Benedict and his new bride
Hyacinth: saw Benedict kissing Sophie in the garden and went about threatening him to stay away as Sophie was the best lady's maid she had ever had and didn't want him ruining it for her
Kate: saw Sophie walking away from Benedict as his fingers skimmed the ribbon of her apron and knew right away there was something between them (but opted not to tell Anthony, lest he charge in and make a mess of things)
Simon: heard his wife regaling the events of the chaotic afternoon in which Benedict came to the new lady's maid's aid, automatically thought to himself that his brother-in-law was in love with the young woman from the sounds of it (but like Kate, opted not to say anything to his wife and get her excited for a possible wedding on the horizon)
Penelope: recognised Sophie as the woman in silver when she first met her, assumed Benedict knew her identity as he was so clearly enamoured with her (also she didn't think Benedict stupid enough to not recognise the woman he fell in love with that night)
Newton: humped Sophie's leg and picked up on how angry Benedict was that time, continued to hump Sophie's leg or even approach her just to get a rise out of Anthony's brother (because Newton loves messing with Anthony's siblings for his own amusement)

I am fortunate enough to have met a couple of fanfic writers who have become instrumental in my writing process. Neither of them are on Tumblr but I wanted to give them a little signal boost. Not that I have that many followers, but the tags will reach somebody, right?
If you haven’t already you should check out Stillpink and LadyTicklebotham.
Both of them write Polin fics. There is some angst and fluff and lots of smut, so if that’s your thing, give them a click!

Hello, friends! I wrote another Polin fic. It is the longest oneshot I have ever written, and my first modern AU. There is some angst, but it has a happy ending, I swear.
Rated E for spiciness.
Snippet!
Colin threw his bag into the hatch of Eloise’s blue Mini and folded himself into the passenger seat. He adjusted the seat to give himself more leg room, wondering if she had pulled it forward on purpose to crowd him. Probably.
"Thanks for picking me up, El. I know it was short notice."
She mumbled her acceptance while checking her mirrors, then pulled away from the curb. "You've made me late to meet Pen at Danbury’s. Are you still staying at Anthony's? Or would you rather go to Number Five?"
"Can't I stay with you and Pen?" he asked, surprised.
She snorted. "Absolutely not."
"What? Why not?"
She turned briefly to glare at him. "You know why," she said savagely.
Colin felt the breath knocked out of him by the force of her words. They had never openly discussed his failed entanglement with Penelope. His mouth fell open and he floundered a moment, trying to gather his thoughts.
"Eloise, I know I messed up. Big time. That's why I need to see her!"
"'Messed up?' That's putting it mildly! You broke her heart, Colin. She tried to hide it from me, but I know her too well. I caught her crying for weeks after you left. And imagine how I felt for bringing you into her life, just so you could do that.” Eloise made a disgusted sound, half growl, half snort. “She would never have let you so close if she didn't think you actually cared about her. Then you slept with her, and as soon as you got what you wanted, you ran. I can't believe you!" Her words had risen in pitch and volume as she went on.

A third! I was fed an image of Penelope sitting on Colin’s lap in a bouncing carriage, and here we are.
Snippet!
Penelope shifted in her seat for what had to have been the thousandth time. They had been on the road for hours, making their way to Gloucestershire for Eloise’s rather rushed wedding. She huffed under her breath as she glanced at her husband, carelessly dozing beside her. Colin claimed that his travels had accustomed him to sleeping in all manner of places at any time of day, and clearly sitting up in a carriage was no exception. It really wasn’t fair. She couldn’t even write to occupy her time due to all the bouncing and rocking; there would have been ink everywhere. She had tried reading, but was having a hard time concentrating. So she spent most of her time staring out the window and being annoyed at her husband.
It wasn’t easy to maintain that annoyance, though. She studied his profile, half in shadow, the subtle rise and fall of his chest as he slept. Even in slumber, one corner of his mouth seemed quirked in amusement. Since they would be spending the entire day travelling, he had not shaved, eschewing the societal convention in favor of spending a little extra time in bed with his wife. Her thoughts drifted back to that morning, remembering how he had woken her gently but insistently, making love to her slowly. The passion of the night before was not lost, but rather sweetened and drawn out, with gentle caresses and whispered words of adoration. She felt the color rise in her cheeks as warmth spread throughout her body, centered between her legs.

Soooo here’s some Polin smut for you. There’s Nutella play and a possession kink, fair warning. I’m not even sorry.
Snippet!
“Now, if we’re done with breakfast, we have unfinished business with the Nutella.” Colin grinned devilishly at her from his seat at the table.
Penelope blushed and bit her lip. The tears caused by Eloise’s sudden departure were still fresh in her eyes, but when Colin looked at her like that, all other thoughts flew from her mind. Colin picked up their plates and put them in the sink, grabbing the jar of chocolate hazelnut spread off the counter on his way back out. Giggling, Penelope raced him to the bedroom. He set the container on the nightstand and reached for her, fingers tangling in the hem of her sweatshirt. The shirt came over her head, curls springing free as he leaned in for a kiss. His warm hands came around to her back, stroking her smooth skin, the light brush of his fingertips raising goosebumps on her skin.
