I used this tutorial, specifically the "little drop" one. I didn't write this out like the others, because I thought it'd be stealing. When you reach the "1 sc, decrease" part, switch from blue to yellow.

I embroidered the mouth with some standard black yarn.

Magic ring, single crochet 6

increase all around

Single crochet all around

one row of nothing but decreases. Stuff and sew it to the stem on the head. You could also make it a heart to be cute ❤️

eyes X 2 (4mm hook)

chain 4 in the pupil colour

skipping the first chain, single crochet 2

Put 3 stitches in the last chain, and begin working down the other side of the chain

Put 2 more stitches in the first chain we worked a stitch in. Cut and fasten off.

Using your sclera colour, slip stitch in every stitch.

Sew them to the face

Chain 7, skip first 2 chains and double crochet 5 down the row

put 3 stitches total in the last chain

Work down other side of chain, just like what we did for the eyes

I'm gonna call this hat "The Lil Stinker" design, it's a play on the rectangle cat hats for beginners but modified a bit to resemble a dark flying chao from Sonic Adventure, which is itself a reference to Night from Nights into Dreams.
