Final Fantasy II Stream Reminder: Live at 7:30pm Pacific

Hey Friends! Who actually wants to watch an old fuddy-duddy play some new-fangled vidja game, when they could watch them play a retro remaster of a game released in the late 1900s? Well, I might just have the thing for you! At 7:30pm Pacific tonight (10:30pm Eastern, 7:30am GMT), we continue our foray into Final Fantasy II! Our armor is oiled, our robes pressed, and our shields... shiney-d? Tonight we continue our run through all six games in the Final Fantasy Pixel Remaster series.

Tonight: We've brought our friend and ally back into the fold, despite him being the Black Knight this whole time. I've spent part of this week grinding to make my team more powerful. It's time to head into the Jade Passage and confront the Undead Emperor somewhere in the bowels of Pandaemonium itself. Should be entertaining.

Quick #StateOfTheStream post, First, I did it. Not only hitting surpassing 195 Platinums and setting up the #FinalFive, but I also passed 10K overall trophies (cue "Ten Thousand Fists" by @disturbed). It was only in March when I hit #Over9000 and getting to 10K is something special. Thank you to everyone that's been along with this journey. Second, it's about time I finally tackle a franchise that inspired this journey the past 3 years. #Uncharted was the reason I bought a PS3, now all that remains for me to complete iz the remastered trilogy, which begins tonight. I'm nervous mainly because Crushing is no joke and I have no idea how rusty I am, but I got this. TWITCH GONE WRONG: So one of the very cool things about twitch is spending a lot of time in one stream, and earning channel points for cool redemptions. Well in my homie @hedspin's stream, for 15,000 points he will mail you a hard boiled egg. I am no longer proud that I accomplished this goal. On 4/21 an egg was placed into a Easter egg and mailed to me from Toronto, It arrived to my house on 5/3, the egg broke in transit, and the smell was so putrid that I may have lost a year of life just holding the package. The sad part is that Hedspin added stickers that I can not get to because the smell was so bad. Short answer: Due to a joke at 2:28:42 in a HBomb stream (2 TREASURE ROOMS TODAY?) H has to write Iskall a discord message to expain what a cuck is, the content of which briefly gets mentioned at 2:37:27.

Long answer: Okay, so on this HBomb stream, about halfway through he gets in a call with Fundy. Fundy tells him about the new vault armor he got that had a +luck modifier (vault armor is randomly generated armor only usable in vaults (randomly generated dungeons) which can have special extra effects. It's generally better than netherite armor, which is heavily nerfed in this series. Vault Hunters functions as an rpg in that you constantly grind to get slightly better armor and loot). Because of this modifier, he tried to name his hat "Luck hat", but because he typed too fast and didn't check his spelling, he ended up naming it "Lcuck hat" instead. And because that's generally pretty funny he decided to stick with it and name his other armor pieces "Lcuck x" as well.

Fast forward to them making cuck jokes occasionally and deciding to run a coop vault together (basically multiplayer vaults that are more difficult but give better loot, scaling with the amount of people that go in) and inviting Iskall to join them. Iskall joins the call and seems amused but confused at their comments, not understanding the context. So at 2:28:42 HBomb makes a joke ("Lcuck boy needs help finishing! He needs everyone to watch him finish!") which cracks him and Fundy up to such a degree that Iskall just goes and asks outright what any of this means, at which point H legit writes him a Discord message to explain what a cuck is, the contents of which Iskall briefly mentions again at 2:37:27 So yeah that's the story of how they taught Iskall what a cuck is. You'd think it ends there but no.

After they leave the vault they start joking around again (starting from 3:02:37 ) except this time Iskall understands their jokes. Not this whole conversation is inuendos, but the longer it goes on the worse it gets until it's basically every other sentence. And it's not just "they explained to Iskall what a cuck is", it's "Iskall actively joins in with making cuck jokes". And even if you don't know the context of what they're talking about here, this is a conversation you want to at least fast forward through once for the lols (oh no the hermit is making cuck jokes, what is this).

Anyway to end this off: Anon is 100% correct and they should say it

Hot take: HBomb and Fundy will influence Iskall enough and he’ll end up saying fuck on Vault Hunters
