The Day I Nearly Lost My Peacock Feathers Over a Space Probe (or, How I Ended Up Telling Stories About the Moon)
Oh, dear reader, you’ll never believe how I, the so-called serene Lord Krishna, found myself here, prattling on about satellites and lunar orbits. And why? Because one fine morning—brimming with the tranquility that only a divine flute session can bring—I made the terrible mistake of trying to have a leisurely conversation with the moon itself. Yes, I had forgotten that our beloved moon, Chandra, is easily ruffled, especially when one mentions Earthlings poking around in his craters.
Now, mind you, I was just making polite conversation, asking him if he'd seen anything interesting up there lately—celestial gossip, if you will. But he huffed and puffed (metaphorically, of course; space lacks air, but you get the idea) about these "curious mortals" who’d been "scurrying around with rockets and landers," poking at his surface like it's some roadside stand.
You see, I hadn't quite been paying attention. I mean, mortals do send up rockets all the time, don’t they? But Chandra, it turns out, was referring to a little something called Chandrayaan-3, which the folks at ISRO, India’s very own celestial cabal, sent aloft. Apparently, they’d landed something on the moon that had Chandra all riled up—"I’m a dignified celestial being, not a testing ground!" he snapped. He practically begged me to tell the Earthlings that he’s had it with all the prodding and rover tracks on his divine visage.
Well, I thought it might calm him down to actually show him what Chandrayaan-3 was up to. Imagine his surprise when he saw, plain as day, that this wasn’t just idle prying but a rather spectacular, carefully executed scientific exploration. Oh, how he sniffed at the little lander—like an emperor humoring a mouse—but you could see the curiosity peeking through. "Fine," he relented, "but at least tell your Earthly friends not to bother my far side. I have secrets!" (Again, figuratively—he’s such a drama moon.)
I knew that if Chandra could be won over, I’d have to share this moment with the world. People needed to know how a modest space probe had managed to charm even the most standoffish of celestial personalities. And so, a little whisper among the mortal minds turned into an idea for this video, breaking down how India’s lunar prodigy, Chandrayaan-3, gracefully navigated the cosmic stage, landing softly on our lunar friend without so much as ruffling a crater.
So, here it is, dear mortals—watch, enjoy, and perhaps consider the moon’s feelings the next time you stare up, full of dreams. Chandra may still be scowling about that new rover track, but he’s warming up to the idea of some polite visitors. And if not, well, I may have to send over a few divine sweets to smooth things over.

Chandrayaan 3 created milestone, Chandrayaan 4 & 5 will follow: Jitendra Singh
Tumblr media
Chandrayaan 3, which scripted history in 2023 by becoming the first to land on the South Pole of the Moon, created “a milestone” that will soon be followed by Chandrayaan 4 and 5, said Union Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday, on the eve of first National Space Day.
On August 23, India is set to celebrate its maiden National Space Day, to celebrate the achievements of Chandrayaan at the Bharat Mandapam, Plenary Hall in New Delhi.

Chandrayaan 3: How can you benefit from its success?
UPDATE: CHANDRAYAAN 3 HAS SUCCESSFULLY LANDED ON THE LUNAR SOUTH POLE ON 23rd AUGUST 2023 AT 6:04 PM.
The successful launch of Chandrayaan-3 on 14 July was a source of great pride for India. This significant achievement has the potential to bring numerous benefits to the nation, especially if the soft landing is successful. Only three nations—Russia, China, and the United States—have succeeded in making a soft landing on the moon. Since the moon lacks an atmosphere, soft landings are also referred to as "15 minutes of terror" because of the accuracy needed for the rocket engine to ignite.
The success of the mission could lead to new chances for India's space industry, technological developments, and scientific breakthroughs that will unquestionably be advantageous to the country and its people.
Read the full article and learn about both the listed and unlisted companies that were involved in the making of Chandrayaan-3 and will benefit from its success only on Insider by Finology.

2023 August, the Month of Bharat
Dr. Shruchi Singh August 2023, coincided with the Hindu month of Shrāvan (derived from Shravan – to hear). This month is relevant to Bharat in numerous ways. Historically, this is the month when the nation got its independence from British rule (15th August 1947); philosophically, it brings people close to Dharma by encouraging them towards learning, self-development, and the prayer and pledge…

Chandrayaan-3: ISRO releases 3D 'anaglyph' images of Moon's surface - Rediff.com India News
The Indian Space Research Organisation on Tuesday put out a 3-dimensional ‘anaglyph’ image of the Chandrayaan-3 Vikram lander from the south pole of the Moon.  ...
...  “The Anaglyph presented here is created using NavCam Stereo Images, which consist of both a left and right image captured onboard the Pragyan Rover," the space agency said...
Anaglyph is a simple visualization of the object or terrain in three dimensions from stereo or multi-view images.
"In this 3-channel image, the left image is positioned in the red channel, while the right image is placed in the blue and green channels (creating cyan). The difference in perspective between these two images results in the stereo effect, which gives the visual impression of three dimensions. Red and cyan glasses are recommended for viewing in 3D," ISRO stated.
Red and cyan glasses are recommended for viewing in 3D.  ...

Ok so here is my Chandrayaan 3 post
First of all: AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Second: HOLY FUCKING HELL. WE FUCKING DID IT!!!!!!!
Third: my story/experience
I remember, on the 14 July my school kept us back a little late for the launch of Chandrayaan 3. (Background on my class, many ppl in it are misogynistic, homophobic, hindu nationalists and highly conservative and me being the liberal atheist bisexual feminist I am, have many debates with them). So we were seated at our desks and the live stream of the launch is playing on the screen. Once the countdown started everyone went quiet (a big feat) and paid rapt attention to the screen. At the 10 second countdown, we all started counting down along with the timer. And when the countdown was at 0 and the rocket launched, the whole school screamed in joy and happiness. And when the launch was deemed successful, many of us started crying and hugging each other.
For a moment, all conservatives and liberals, all misogynists and feminists and all homophobic and allies, hindu nationalists and atheists, let their beliefs and hate to be forgotten and embraced each other as Indians.
Time Skip to landing day
I was studying for my Physics Unit Test (ironic Ik) while watching the livestream. While I wasn't giving 100% of my attention to the livestream, I stopped studying when it was at 100m distance. The emotions that overtook me were something completely different. These emotions weren't for myself they were for every scientist, physical labourer, homemaker, cook, janitor, chai wala who helped this mission reach a success.
As soon as the distance closed to about 20m, I was strangely calm, I somehow knew that this would be a success. And when it landed, I burst out laughing and crying, tears were dripping down my chin as screeches of joy were being ripped out of my throat.
