He fell first, but you fell harder. It wasn't obvious at first, but the way he looked at people, who you spend a lot of time with, who made you laugh. He was sooo jealous. Spinning around you, showing why he is better option then guy you just talked to.

His love language is quality time. He is ready to spend every minute with you, showing off or just talking. At first you will think he is just annoying as hell, but after some talks he would find way to make you comfortable. Even if it means that he should ask someone about things you like.

Pet names, huh? "Darling, sweetheart, little sparrow, birdie". (No one can change my mind:) And it doesn't really matter if you aren't rito)

Sidon:

You fell first, but he fell harder. This man told you about his feelings as soon as they appeared, so no way you won't know about that. And he never would be ashamed!

His love language is physical contact. Really. Every time you are around he is so touchy! Hugs, kisses, everything is here. He would literally hold onto your then he is sad. (You'll get double of that if it's Sidon+Yona)

Pet names are difficult... Probably "Sunshine, pearl, love, my queen" and something like that.

Daruk:

He fell first, but you fell harder. It's a little complicated with him. He fell first, but it took some time to understand that. Probably someone from his fellow champions pointed at his affection towards you (he talked about you so much that others knew your favorite color and what is your favorite place in Hyrule) and it clicked.

His love language is quality time. Literally spending every second of his free time with you! But of course if you are comfortable with that. He knows then to stop.

He uses: "love, babe, jem, sweet cheeks" as nicknames for you. Sometimes "honey bun", telling you that you are as sweet as one.

Yunobo:

He fell first and he fell harder. It's just the way he is. So sweet and cute. He cares about you deeply, and was so nervous to tell you what he feels, because he was scared he would ruin your friendship. (You probably was the first one to confess)

Gifts! And a lot! Yeah. His love language is gift giving. He remembers every little thing that you mentioned in your talks, or you looked a little too long at market. And he will get it for you! He wants to make you happy! But if you do the same he would be so embarrassed to take something from you!

Can "goro" be called pet name? I think yes. If we talk about another options... "Sweetheart, my love, ruby (Yeah. Goron Ruby), baby, sunshine" will work, along with every sweet name he would master at moment.

"I kind of already made a promise that I'd go practice with them. You're really busy anyway. You have all that champion stuff you have to do. I wouldn't want to be a bother."

It seems like that Rito is about to have a flying accident. It'll be such a pity that they accidentally broke their wings and plummeted towards the ground. Their body will be barely recognizable. A pity. Such a pity.

"Nonsense. I could not allow my Hylian visitor to look like a fool in my village.However, if you already promised, it would be disrespectful of me to try and twist your word. Just take one of my feathers, will you? As good luck for your practice."

when Sidon has a crush on someone it goes one of two ways depending on how deeply he feels for that lucky person

if it’s in the beginning stages of him realizing that he likes them, he actually becomes a bit timid whenever they’re around

it’s not that he’s scared of these new found feelings, he’s just new to the concept of actually liking someone as opposed to being the object of affection like he is to so many others

once he gets past figuring things out and really starts having it hard for his crush, he’s back to his extravagant self

will absolutely boast about great qualities he sees in them, not just in private but to others as well

was already a huge supporter to begin with, but becomes even more so and always finds ways to be there for his crush

absolutely takes no shit from others talking about his crush behind their back

overall Sidon’s way of flirting or letting his feelings be known to his crush is grand action and devotion; he wants them to know how much they mean to him and how much he’s willing to do for them should they except him

Revali:

this feathered butt head is such a pain when he first realizes he has a crush on someone

absolute tsundere if you will

he’s just not used to the idea of being that fond of someone, that someone could hold such a power over him to make his heart feel like it’s falling from the sky by just walking into the same vicinity

once he gets past his complicated feelings about the ordeal, Revali starts to accept the ideas of why he developed feelings for this person and it turns into honorable admiration

he isn’t going to just fall for anyone of course

the Rito takes note in impressionable skills his crush possesses, such as how swift they are with a bow or how they’re able to finely put ingredients together to cook the perfect meal

if you don’t know Revali very well you probably wouldn’t be able to notice when he’s coming on to his crush; it’s all subtle compliments that could be mistaken as ire for the other

the closer he gets to his crush, he’ll actually start giving them small gifts as he finds it easier than trying to express how he feels with words, which is a shock to not just his crush but him as well, since the Rito Champion is known for having a colorful vocabulary

Mipha:

Mipha’s had crushes before, so depending on how close she is with the person she’s crushing on will determine whether or not she pursues those feelings

if she does, her crush can expect to be spending a lot more time with her

she’ll go out of her way to spend time with them when not swamped by her duties as not just the Zora Princess but also their Champion

much like her brother, she’s very supportive of her crush, just not in such an extravagant manner

she’s much more subtle with making her feelings known, almost in a shy kind of way

is always making sure her crush is safe and protected, and much like she had with Link in the game, she promises to always be there to heal them if they need

the further things pass on, she might start to also gift her crush small trinkets

gifts that remind her of them, such as shells that match their eyes, or some jewelry that accentuates their lovely smile

No matter how much you rearranged your home, it never felt as comfortable the next day. The pillows suddenly weren't situated the right way. The plants didn't look as marvelous in the last spot you had them. There was always something that felt off to you, and seeing as how you were due in a few months, you really were starting to get stir crazy. As you settled some of your beloved trinkets on a different shelf than yesterday, you missed the emerald stare from the entryway.

"You're going to drive yourself to the brink of insanity if you keep shuffling about like this," rang a dulcet timbre from just behind you. Though his words sounded as though they were meant to scold you, they were said with genuine care. Soft feathers caressed the roundness of your stomach; plumage colored in berry and cream hues gently molding to tummy. You tilted your head backwards, sheepish smile meeting his endearing one. Revali gave you a knowing look, "Were you not told you should be resting?"

Your lips pursed playfully as you shifted your gaze away from his,

"Yeeees but," the sigh you let out was lengthy, "I just can't...sit still, you know? I get organized one day, but then come the next, everything feels...just slightly out of place."

Revali chuckles a bit, and you pout further. Both of his wings come around your frame. The warmth of him around you, holding you like this brings you comfort - settles that unfamiliar energy inside of you that's been plaguing you the last few weeks.

"You're nesting, dove," he begins quietly, "Not uncommon for my race or yours."

Humming in understanding, it makes total sense to you. Your space was soon welcoming another life. Without even realizing it, you were subconsciously preparing a comfortable environment for you to take care of your baby. You only wished your mind would actually let you rest!

"It's exhausting, I'll admit," you say, your own hands now coming to your belly. Suddenly, you are lifted up, Revali's long feathered fingers carrying you over to your bed. He laid you down with careful ease, leaving just enough room for him to nestle in beside you, "That's exactly why you should be resting".

His beak tilted downward, sharp eyes holding yours, "Or do I need to remind you that we're expecting?"

With a roll of your eyes and a shake of your head you quickly shot out a "No, no, no" before shimmying yourself further into the bed for more comfort. Revali's wing cradled the back of your head, drawing you close enough for his beak to lovingly peck a kiss to your forehead. His expression shifted into a pleased one,

"If it's any consolation - our home looks nothing less than perfect."

This lit you up, "Does it? I know I've been fussing about it every day, it just never feels like I'm making it look nice enough, and I-"

A plumed finger touches your lips.

"It's because you arranged it that way...that it looks perfect."

Your heart swells at his words, though you take the opportunity to playfully say, "And I know you'd know a thing or two about perfection, wouldn't you, Revali?"

His eyes don't leave yours. The upturn of his beak is genuine, heartwarming. The finger that stopped at your lips now travels to tuck a lock of your hair behind your ear.

"I think it goes without saying that I have an eye for it."

the lands of Hyrule are vast

the open fields feel just like a dream

like home in a way

and though you know how this story goes

you wander around for a while

and at some point you find yourself laying in the soft grass

you look at the blue, partial cloudy sky with a smile spread across your face

faint laughter can be heard close by

you lift your head up and peek from just above the tall blades of grass to see a bird, blue in color, preening about something you didn’t quite hear

Urbosa spots you peeking just before you duck back down

‘I knew that I wasn’t home… but how did I get…here?’

“What’s wrong Urbosa?”

Mipha’s concerned

yet Revali and Daruk shrug it off

Urbosa’s now standing above you, hands on her hips, giving you a stern look

Mipha seems pleased see you though

“A Hylian? In this part of Hyrule?”

and you shake your head as you stand

Urbosa looks you up and down

“Couldn’t be. [They] don’t have pointed ears.”

Mipha tilts her head

“Pardon my manners, but… what exactly are you?”

“No forgive me, Princess Mipha, Lady Urbosa. My name is y/n. I’m a human from a VERY distant land. I’m actually not quite sure how I ended up here…”

“What took you both so long? I’ve been losing feathers with how long we’ve been waiting.”

and they’re confused, yet amazed at how your piping in every so often to share little bits of info about theirselves 

“How do you know that?”

Revali looks a little heated that you cut him off

“And I though you were a know it all, Revali!”

you laugh at Daruk’s statement

“Say, how DO you know all these things, little bird?”

“Your journey and the Calamity is sort of… a fantasy story in where I come from.”

Revali rolls his eyes in disbelief

Mipha smiles at you, however, fully trusting you

“Can you tell me how it goes?”

you nod and start from the beginning

and once you reach the end of each of their stories, you hesitate

“So how does it end?”

and you’re silent

“Do you not know?”

“I know, Revali. But why tell you how it ends when it’s just beginning?”

“And maybe this little bit of information could, you know, change that ending.”

Revali tilts his head

“You could be onto something there.”

The Champions with an S/O That's a Sword Spirit:

Urbosa:

When Urbosa found out, she would not stop talking about how cool that was and how awesome you were.

Whenever she was in battle, she would casually talk to you while in sword form.

Stuff like what you wanted for dinner and if that new Geurudo restaurant down the street sounded good.

She frequently prays to whichever god created you (like how Hylia made the master sword) and is like, "if you put my s/o in danger I swear to Hylia I will find a way to kill you."

Mipha:

She panicked a little when she found out and started worrying about whether you were safe or not.

She's too scared to use the sword you embody because she doesn't want to hurt you.

She also pouts when you're in sword form because she can't hug you.

She did a whole bunch of research on sword spirits to the point where she fell asleep at her desk surrounded by books.

Daruk:

He didn't really understand when you told him but was supportive nonetheless.

When you showed him that you could actually become the sword he was like, "Wait so you are the sword?? And you can talk to me?? That's so badass!!"

He insists on making you food after you transform back because he assumes that holding that form is tiring. It isn't, but you let him anyways.

He also brags about how cool you are, but to other people. Revali's gotten a little sick of it, but that's just more incentive for Daruk to keep talking about you.

Revali:

It took him a while to completely comprehend what exactly a sword spirit was, but he's trying his best.

He definitely bickers with you allll the time.

It's mostly because he worries about your safety as a spirit, but he won't admit that.

He gets nervous every time you're in battle, and whenever you get hurt he's frantic to get you somewhere safe, even if the injury is minor.

when he looks at you, its not a smirk, its not a crooked grin, its a genuine smile of pure love

Listen, he will learn an instrument for you. For the Ritos, its common for the girls to learn to sing, but obviously its not just the girls since Kass plays an instrument too so he learns an instrument to serenade you, sings about his love for you

when you two cuddle, he likes to be the big spoon more often than not. Will tuck you under his beak and wrap you up in his wings.

When he lets you big spoon him, he will lay on your chest and listen to the steady rhythm of your heart beat. After a while, it sounds like he is purring on you

his perception skills are amazing, on par with Urbosa, so he reads you really well. Will notice if you are not one hundred percent comfortable, will fix it if he can

He teaches you archery and he will be so proud of you whenever you hit a target. Surprisingly patient with you (probably with you only though, not gonna lie)

let this man braid your hair for you, and you can do his braids too

He really does love having physical contact with you. You're very grounding to him

loves the comfortable silence between the two of you. You two can share so much with out making a single peep.

he is a walking heater so if you're ever cold, he is your man. Like if you shiver for one second, hes next to you.

Your legs swung back and forth from your spot on the flight lading, as you watched the Rito champion swoop back and forth. You could watch Revali fly for hours on end and never get bored of his daring swoops and graceful spins. You had always been curious about what it was like up there, but your fear of heights kept you confined to the ground.

Suddenly, Revali flew back down to the landing, interrupting your daydreaming.

“As much as I enjoy you watching me in complete adoration, I think it’s time that you joined me up there,” Revali said, crossing his arms haughtily after landing.

You blushed at his words. “I can’t fly, Revali.”

“Well obviously,” the Rito scoffed. “Do you have the paraglider Princess Zelda gave you?” He asked, drawing closer to you.

“I, er, yes I do,” you said, checking that you still had it with you. You didn’t quite like where this was going.

“Good, you’ll use that, then.”

What?! The highest you had ever glided was from the top of a tree!

“But it’s so high up!” You said, not daring to peer over the landing.

“Don’t be foolish. I’ll be right beside you the whole time. I’m sure you’ll fare a better chance at success with Hyrule’s best flyer with you.”

Swallowing your nervousness, you nodded. “Alright, but stay with me the whole time, okay?”

Once you were sure Revali wasn’t trying to trick you for the purpose of watching a naive hylian gliding off into the Hebra frontier, you stood beside your friend on the landing.

“Make sure to hold on tight the entire time, and keep your body steady so you can steer the glider,” Revali said, making sure you were ready.

“Okay, I think I can do it,” you said, shivering from both fear and the chilly air. Taking in a deep breath, you focused your gaze on the horizon instead of the bottomless darkness below you, you stepped off of the landing while holding onto your paraglider for dear life.

After a few seconds, you realized that it was working and you suddenly didn’t feel as scared anymore. Almost immediately, Revali appeared right beside you, steadily riding the wind. “Very good!” He praised in the most genuine way you had ever heard from him.

Ignoring your stomach doing a back flip, you smiled giddily as you continued to glide, the wind blowing in your face pleasantly. This was much more fun than you had imagined.

“Let’s get you a bit higher!” The champion said, suddenly taking a dive towards the ground.

For a minute you lost sight of him and panic began to set in. Where was that stupid bird?

Then, the soaring form of Revali shot up into the sky in front of you, creating a gust of wind that carried you upwards. You laughed with amazement as he kept you up in the sky, and he was soaring alongside you once again.

Shifting his gaze from the horizon and onto you, Revali felt the smallest smile appear on his face. You were a natural. Not that he doubted your abilities, of course, but many hylians tended to prefer their feet on the ground. You, however, looked like you belonged in the sky.

Suddenly, your voice broke him out of his stupor. “Revali? How do I land?”

Oops. The rito champion had forgotten to tell you how to land.

The moment your legs hit the snowy ground, you went rolling into the snow.

Revali gasped and swooped in to land by your side. “(Y/n)? (Y/n), are you alright?” He asked, frantically brushing snow off of you.

You, however, were laughing happily, even though you were covered in snow and slightly sore from your tumble. “That was amazing! I never knew I could do that!”

Revali’s concern washed away only to be replaced with relief and maybe a twinge of annoyance. “You had me worried, you silly girl.”

Taking the wing he offered, you lifted yourself up, still grinning excitedly. “We have to do this again,” you insisted, your cheeks and the tips of your ears flushed red from the cold and the rush of excitement you felt.

“Eager, are we? I’m rather surprised at your persistence considering you just fell into about four feet of snow,” Revali said, rolling his eyes at your determination.

“Oh. Right,” you said, brushing the last of the snow off of yourself. “We should probably head back for the village.”

“Hmm, are you sure? If we wait long enough, you might turn a rather nice shade of blue,” the rito beside you said, observing your shivering form.

You gave him a mischievous smile. “Oh really? That sure would be unfortunate.”

A few of Revali’s royal blue feathers puffed up, and he made a move to take off. “Well, if that’s how you’re going to be…”

“Wait! C’mon, Revali, I was joking around. Take me back to the village!” You near-begged to your companion, who seemed to be considering your request.

“Fine. You win, little Hylian,” Revali said, slightly stooping so you could climb on his back.

It never failed to surprise you how the proud Rito had started to let you fly on his back. When you first met him, he would always make you walk back to wherever you came from, swooping away before anyone could protest. But after a while, he would offer you rides on his back. Just you.

Though no one would ever admit it, the rito villagers would always think of what a strange duo you two made. The princess’s diplomatic assistant and the rito champion. You had been making more visits to the village, unable to curb your fascination. Many of the villagers were quite fond of you due to how much more pleasant Revali acted in your presence.

You climbed on to the champion’s back, giving him a small “ready” when you were situated.

Your first time on his back, you had been so afraid of falling off you found some of Revali’s feathers in your hand whenever you had landed. That had earned you quite the scolding. But now, you had no fear of slipping off, and you had even gotten to the point where you could sit up straight. This had caused the Rito to mutter something about “not being your horse,” but you didn’t mind.

Your hum of contentment at being so close to him shot his heart rate up to a level that only the dangers of battle could replicate. For the remainder of the journey back to the village the rito made sure to soar as smoothly as possible, even making a few circles around the village, just to spend some more time with you. Not that he would ever admit that, though.

After your departure, Revali’s thoughts were clouded by the memory of your smile, laughter, and promise to return soon. The inn you were staying at in the closest village wasn’t very far, but his heart ached strangely when he watched you leave. To his annoyance and a bit of embarrassment, some other ritos asked about you teasingly, saying that they’d never seen Revali act so gently toward a Hylian. Revali would scoff and deny anything his fellow villagers try to insinuate, but when he lay in bed that night, trying to go to sleep, he still could not fight off the image of you in his head.

As he tossed and turned, Revali found himself submitting to this new, unfamiliar feeling. Eventually, the thing that got him to sleep was the memory of your warmth against him as the two of you soared through the cold winds of Hebra.

Revali is so tired. The fight was difficult, all the warriors were injured, him included. He barely could fly, fresh wound adored his left wing, so then Gannon was defeated and Rito warrior finally got down from Vah Medo, he was met with crowd of cheering people... but Revali doesn't really care for congratulations he recieves. His eyes search crowd for only one person who matters now. You.

As soon as his eyes land on you, champion moves forward. Rito healers trail after him, trying to stop him, so they could wrap his injured wing. Blood soaked through all the feathers around wound, but he couldn't care less, then your eyes finally found his.

He huggs you with his good wing, keeping blood away from your clothes. Revali thought this fight would be his last one. That he won't come back to you. So now he doesn't want to delay, no hesitation anymore.

Blue-feathered warrior steps back and looks you in the eyes. "Marry me"

Some months passed, he didn't even let his wing heal fully, hurrying all the preparations to have the wedding as soon as possible. Surprisingly, Revali insisted on small celebration. "Family only" like he said. Champions, Zelda and Link were where too. Wedding wasn't too loud, food and friendly talks here and where, that's all that Revali and you wished for after such close call only some months ago. Everything felt right. You and him felt right.

Night came. After receiving some encouraging words from Urbosa about upcoming wedding night, you are finally ready to go. With that, all the guests said last wishes and you with rito left to have time for yourself.

"Perfect" Your husband says between soft nuzzles and kisses at your neck and shoulders.

Everything fades in blurr afterwards. His warm body against yours, wings roaming your body. He was a little hesitant at the beginning, but then you both got into it, Revali didn't stop himself from getting his wings everywhere he could reach. Room got hot, hot in a good way. Soft sounds from both of you filled room, nothing harsh, honey sweet and loving.

"Oh, birdie..." Rito hisses, moving hips against yours in slow but steady rhythm. Chest to chest with you, leaning on his own wings on both sides of you, beak tucked in a crook of your neck, breathing in your scent.

"Close" You whine, pawing at his chest, legs wrapped around his hips.

I just found out that Revali is very similar to a blue jay and it makes so much sense.

I always wondered if he was inspired by or based off of a blue jay because of the way his feathers lay out on his head and his color as well. The attitude part makes a crap ton of sense too. This would explain why his first instinct was to attack Link when he arrived in Rito Village. Obviously, he probably isn’t literally a blue jay, since the rito are based off of— or are birds of prey. But he does have the traits and aspects of such. He has both the characteristics of a blue jay, AND a bird of prey.

This is honestly so cool to think about. I’ve always had an odd fascination with birds so it’d explain my fascination with the Rito too lol

Could you do Yandere BOTW Champions or TOTK Sages x Reader who has the Mask from Majora’s Mask? The reader is Hylian. But they have the usual four mask, Plus the Fierce Deity mask.

This is a mostly Linked Universe Blog, but sure! I'm not overly well versed on the whole Mask deal, so please bare with me.

I went with the BOTW Champions, since not everyone knows the sages.

Champion of the Masks

・❥・So, if you know the Champions, there's a good chance you are a knight or warrior in your own right.

・❥・You are someone powerful, probably because of said masks. For Hylia's sake, you have the Fierce Deity looking over you. You are practically untouchable.

・❥・And the other Champions are well aware of this fact. But that doesn't change anything.

・❥・Because you are still so vulnerable. What happens when you're separated from your masks? Then what? Hm? You are just so vulnerable, can't you see that?

・❥・You don't have any powers of the wind, not any form of protection. You can't control any elements, nor can you heal. You certainly don't have any part of the triforce. You are powerless.

・❥・Which is why they needed to be there to protect you!

・❥・Now, Revali. My loveable douche-bird. He tries to keep you at a distance, but still falls. And he falls hard. Revali is the only champion who wasn't born with his gift. He had to build Revali's gale into what it was from scratch.

・❥・Reader probably recognizes all of his hard work, because (and this is from my very limited research) to get all of the Masks in their possession? A bitch and a half. They weren't gifted these masks. Not without a price. So they can recognize a situation where you are pitted against these...demi-gods eons beyond your own abilities and forced to catch up or fall behind.

・❥・And Revali absolutely cherishes this. Having someone not look down on him, but instead stand on the very same footing he was? Man's is down bad.

・❥・He is particularly fond of your Breman Mask because you just look so pretty in feathers. And while yes, white looked nice on you, blue looked better.

・❥・I HC that every race has their own form of courting rituals, Rito included. They probably make their intended betrothed some sort of snow-quill headpiece meant for the cold, lined with their feathers and intricate braids of fine silks and expensive ribbons.

・❥・You just know that Revali, as a champion, would make a nice courting present. And you just know he is purposefully difficult and makes everyone else come to him in the Rito village (He is their best warrior and is shown to lead their army in AoC). You just know that he demands the princess bring her two best knights, which begrudgingly means Link, but it also means you. You who wears the snowquill bit with pride-- even if you don't know what if means really.

・❥・It doesn't matter because the others do.

・❥・The next one to fall is Urbosa.

・❥・She falls after seeing you in battle. The Gerudo, regardless of gender, can respect a Warrior when they see one. And you are a warrior. You with your sharp wit and insane reaction times, parrying a blade aimed for her.

・❥・Your strength alone makes her swoon because out of everything she can respect that.

・❥・Her favorite mask of yours is the Garo's mask. Not only does it fool these supposed Garo (You are so smart, did you know that? With all of your stories and journeys.), but it also fools the Yiga. The Mask of Truth does as well, but the thought of spilling her guts to you makes her uneasy.

・❥・Not because she doesn't want you to know how constantly you're running through her head, but she doesn't want you to know how deep these thoughts delve.

・❥・When you're able to fool the Yiga and get back to her about an ambush planned on her people, she knows you're the one.

・❥・I like to imagine the Gerudo focus more on jewelry for a courting action. Not rings, no. But intricate pieces of armor lined with gems aimed to aid in battles.

・❥・Brigandines lined with topaz; Gorgets lined with opals; spaulders ordained in rubies; Poleyn decorated in sapphires. Even your own Scmitar enhanced by diamonds. All of it custom made to you to show her devotion to you.

・❥・Now, with this being all useful items you can wear in battle, you're seen in it often.

・❥・Daruk is next. He falls for you after seeing you in his, coincidentally, favorite mask. You tell the tale of the Goron Mask after he asks, weaving this intricate legend that had him hanging onto every word.

・❥・The Gorons show their love through food. So Daruk makes it a point to constantly share his food, both sedimentary and otherwise. He loves knowing that you are well fed and cared for because of him.

・❥・I feel like the highest form of love that can be shown through food for a Goron is a Prime Rock Roast. And while he knows Hylian's can't eat rocks (Link excluded because...it's Link), he looks for the next best thing.

・❥・Intricate pasties filled with only the finest of whipped cream and dusted with powdered sugar; dripping roasts just oozing juice that practically fall of the bone; grilled fish where the smell alone is enough to make you sallivate

・❥・All of it are gifted to you to ensure you think of him whenever you feel hungry. That he is your go to.

・❥・Now, next is a tie between Link and Zelda.

・❥・Zelda probably falls first because she sees you interacting with the others and watches you. In fact, you watch her back. But the difference between you watching her and Link watching her, because her father has allowed you to take over for Link on the rare occasion, is that you give her space. You allow her to disappear into the divine beasts, waiting patiently for her to come to you.

・❥・You entertain her with stories upon stories.

・❥・You listen to her woes with a careful ear and offer your own advice.

・❥・You even braved her cooking.

・❥・She loves all of your masks and cherishes each story about them. But when you wear the Great Fairy Mask and let fairies tickle her cheeks?That's when she swoons the most.

・❥・Link falls during all the time he spends with you chasing after Zelda. You're able to hold your own, which is always appreciated, and you're okay with silence. Silence settles between you two often while waiting for Zelda and you don't push it.

・❥・And you don't look at him like he's anything other than a Hylian. Not the wielder of the sword that seals the darkness.

・❥・Not this random knight that was handed a legacy on a plate.

・❥・Not an annoyance that needed to be shook off,

・❥・He was just Link to you. And it made his heart sing.

・❥・Unfortunately, neither are quite in the position to court you. Not with Calamity on the horizon, nor with their standings in the royal council. And it tears them apart in the inside. Seeing you decked out in jewels with feathers woven into your hair, eating some of the finest things Hyrule has to offer, all of it makes them bitter and hungry. Hungry to show how you belong to them.

・❥・You get prefential treatment in the castle. The finest of rooms with the softest of sheets. Plump pillows and too many locks on the door to keep you right where she wants satin pajamas, all just for your enjoyment.

・❥・Or the best weapons and shields available to the royal guard. Bows re-strung just for you, or the lion's share of arrows provided. Want that Shield that Jimmy Whosit has? Give Link three minutes. No, there's no blood on the shield, what are you talking about? You must exhausted if you're seeing things, maybe you should just skip training all together?

・❥・It's all yours.

・❥・Now, the last person to fall, is Mipha. She's very hesitant to lend her heart out to you, but you know who isn't afraid of showing their emotions on their sleeves for everyone to see?

・❥・Sidon.

・❥・Sidon, in all his little fishy glory, loves you when you come around. when you dawn the Zora mask and swim with him. You play all the games that Mipha won't because they're 'too dangerous'. So when you come around he's ecstatic, dragging his sister down to see you alongside him.

・❥・Mipha tolerates you for the time being, probably still in love with a different knight, making him his own armor. But after she finishes it, it's no longer shaped to Link's form. No. Somewhere along the way it went from being formed to his broader shoulders to being shortened to your own narrower set. It no longer was long enough to fit his torso, instead fitted to your own.

・❥・Her heart had tainted her hands, making armor for you before she even knew what it all meant. The only reason the rest of her catches up is because she sees you with Sidon.

・❥・She watches you swim on you back, with Sidon clinging to your chest, laughter bubbling up from both of you.

・❥・And the last of them falls.

・❥・She aims to give you the armor after the fall of the calamity, but...I'm sure we all know how that'll play out...

・❥・Anyway, between them all, you get very little time to yourself. They are all constantly hovering over you.

・❥・You think you can get away with one of your masks?

・❥・Nice try.

・❥・Your precious Stone Mask? Gone. Confiscated under the order of Princess Zelda King Rhoam.

・❥・Think you can fight your way out?

・❥・Not even the Fierce Deity mask can save you from the champions, their Divine Beasts, and the Triforce of Wisdom and Courage, nor their wielders.

・❥・You wanna run and hide?

・❥・There is not a single inch of Hyrule that one of them doesn't know about.

・❥・You are well and truly trapped under their hold, just where they like you.

・❥・Trapped like a fucking bird in a cage while they fight amongst themselves to see who you stay with.

・❥・ Let's hope they decided quickly before the Calamity decides he's done being patient.
