Who fell first/who fell harder? Love language. Pet names.
Revali:
He fell first, but you fell harder. It wasn't obvious at first, but the way he looked at people, who you spend a lot of time with, who made you laugh. He was sooo jealous. Spinning around you, showing why he is better option then guy you just talked to.
His love language is quality time. He is ready to spend every minute with you, showing off or just talking. At first you will think he is just annoying as hell, but after some talks he would find way to make you comfortable. Even if it means that he should ask someone about things you like.
Pet names, huh? "Darling, sweetheart, little sparrow, birdie". (No one can change my mind:) And it doesn't really matter if you aren't rito)
Sidon:
You fell first, but he fell harder. This man told you about his feelings as soon as they appeared, so no way you won't know about that. And he never would be ashamed!
His love language is physical contact. Really. Every time you are around he is so touchy! Hugs, kisses, everything is here. He would literally hold onto your then he is sad. (You'll get double of that if it's Sidon+Yona)
Pet names are difficult... Probably "Sunshine, pearl, love, my queen" and something like that.
Daruk:
He fell first, but you fell harder. It's a little complicated with him. He fell first, but it took some time to understand that. Probably someone from his fellow champions pointed at his affection towards you (he talked about you so much that others knew your favorite color and what is your favorite place in Hyrule) and it clicked.
His love language is quality time. Literally spending every second of his free time with you! But of course if you are comfortable with that. He knows then to stop.
He uses: "love, babe, jem, sweet cheeks" as nicknames for you. Sometimes "honey bun", telling you that you are as sweet as one.
Yunobo:
He fell first and he fell harder. It's just the way he is. So sweet and cute. He cares about you deeply, and was so nervous to tell you what he feels, because he was scared he would ruin your friendship. (You probably was the first one to confess)
Gifts! And a lot! Yeah. His love language is gift giving. He remembers every little thing that you mentioned in your talks, or you looked a little too long at market. And he will get it for you! He wants to make you happy! But if you do the same he would be so embarrassed to take something from you!
Can "goro" be called pet name? I think yes. If we talk about another options... "Sweetheart, my love, ruby (Yeah. Goron Ruby), baby, sunshine" will work, along with every sweet name he would master at moment.
Female characters here!
And my requests are open!

Chapter 2: Campfire cuddles
Link ran fast through the grass with the others chasing behind us. He had shifted me so he could carry me with both his arms, sheathing his sword on his back. With a grunt, he jumped down from a ledge and continued to jog.
“Link! Wait up!”
“You can't have her!” he yelled back.
I looked up at him in shock, not having heard his voice before. The woman he was shouting out said he only speaks around people he trusts. Does that mean that he thinks I'm his friend? Do I have friends? I could feel my ears flick up and down in excitement and I puffed my cheeks out trying to stop them. Link just poked one of my cheeks as he stopped behind a rock, panting.
“You should put me down, catch your breath!”
He just grunted and placed me down, still holding me close. The others ran past the rock he had hunkered behind as I pried myself from his arms. His eyes narrowed as he reached out to grab me again and I pushed his arm down with a smile.
“Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere! Get some rest, I'll go get your friends.”
His eyes widened as I stood up fully and stepped on top of the rock. I could hear him start to speak but stop himself as he looked up at me from where he had crouched down. My skirt of leaves gathered by the Koroks was slightly messed up from his grabbing so I re-adjusted them before jumping to grab their attention. The blonde woman ran over quickly and grabbed my hands.
“Are you ok? It's starting to get dark we should set up a camp before heading back to Hyrule Castle tomorrow. We can use this as an opportunity to get to know you better!”
She smiled at me and pulled me towards the others as they began to set up tents that they must have been carrying with them. Her grip on my hand was just as tight as Link’s as if she was scared id leave. Link grumbled under his breath as he set up a campfire. It wasn't long until they were done and sat around the campfire.
The women went around the fire introducing everyone. I could only smile to myself as everyone began talking. Friends, I have friends that look like me now. Zelda just showed me the strange device she had, showing me the “camera” on it. Eventually, everyone went silent as I fiddled with the device, looking through the various places captured within.
“So, Y/N, if it isn't rude to ask, what are you?” Daruk asked.
I raised a brow at his question before the fish woman beside him spoke up.
“We know that the Koroks said you were a forest spirit, but you look rather similar to Hylians, like Link and Zelda. We're just a tad confused about if you're a type of forest spirit or a Hylain raised by forest spirits.”
“Oh, it isn't rude don't worry. I'm... Not sure. I've never left the forest before now, Hestu usually told me stories of their travels but I've never left myself.”
Oh, you poor thing! We must take you around Hyrule and show you how wonderful everything is!” Zelda exclaimed, hugging me tightly.
“Dont bother, Rito village will be so impressive she’ll never want to leave!” Revali spoke confidently.
I just smiled and laughed. Daruk soon began laughing as well.
“You say that but the hot springs have a great power! I never want to leave them when I go!” He laughed.
The others began laughing as well, and I felt Link’s hand grab one of my fingers. I looked over at him and he rubbed his thumb over the back of my hand. His eyes never left our stare until he faltered and glared at Zelda who was still hugging me. A strange feeling of dread settled in as the others grew silent and looked around. I was unsure what had alarmed them but I felt the wariness that sat heavy among the group. A strange red slip of paper landed on my lap and just stared at it, confused. It felt like someone was breathing against my neck.
“Hm, intresting, so the Princess has recruited another. I wonder what’s so special about her? What do you say, do we tell Astor?”
“She doesn’t appear to be a threat Master, but he will be angry if we don’t notify him.”
“True, let’s go.”
The slip of paper disappeared along with the voices. I looked around in shock as the others seemed to relax, had they not heard those voices?
“We should get some rest, goodnight!” Zelda said, crawling into her tent.
One by one they disappeared into their tents and I sat on the grass watching the stars. I didn’t wish to intrude on their sleep, that would be so rude. Link shuffled out of his tent and motioned for me to join him. I shook my head, his tent look so small, there would be no space between us. He just sighed and sat beside me, pulling my head to his chest while rubbing my back.
“Link? What are you-“
“Shh, sleep. I’ll keep watch.”
I went to speak again but something about his warm chest and scent lulled me to sleep faster than I had ever experienced before. It was like I was being hypnotised.

Oh, I wonder what those voices were aha ha... I made it so obvious I'm sorry-

Tumblr media
“Haven’t been active on tumblr for a while because of work, but I hope you’ve been doing better! I really enjoy reading all of the zelda content you make and seeing the other funny posts you have on your regular blog too, and I know it’s hard to keep up with mental health so I just want to say that you do have support from people here like me :) If you’re up to it, I think a request I want to make is different zelda characters simply making positive reinforcements or comments towards their s/o’s since everyone seems to be mentally tired and maybe it can be a little helpful to read positive content.  Please take care of yourself, taking a break even for a little bit can be good.” - @reva-rose

— I finally control this beast! Piece of cake! Goron shouted, turning sharply. — Let the other champions know and we'll see if they can keep up with the great Daruk!
[Reader] thought she was going to vomit. She desperately tried to keep her balance on the huge machine. Unlike the blonde standing next to her, who seemed to be glued to the surface of the giant lizard.
— Just look at these rocks scattered across the mountains. Delicious!
The girl wanted to cry with happiness when everything around her finally stopped spinning and her stomach seemed to be in place.
— I may not know much about this Ganon but believe me, I will defend Hyrule to the death. Do we understand each other? — The Champion patted them on the back.
[Reader] almost doubled over from the force of his impact on her spine.
She adored her giant friend but the ride had damaged her nerves so much that she didn't even have the strength to agree to his confession.
— By the way — he said to Link — congratulations on becoming the princess's personal knight! — Serious work, no pressure! — He laughed.
The girl didn't listen to the rest of the conversation. She did not share Goron's enthusiasm.
She protected the king and his daughter was often with him. This also made her Zelda's protector. They understood each other very well, they were of similar age. So she felt jealous every time she looked at the blue tunic that marked the blonde's important position. He was chosen.
Maybe everything would be easier if the princess accepted him. Meanwhile, she walked around as angry as a wasp every time he followed her. She was upset about the lost freedom that [Reader] had always respected. The boy, however, did not give her a moment's respite. Recently he had followed her all the way to the Gerudo Desert, where only women were allowed into the city. No one has ever found out how he managed to sneak there.
[Reader] looked up, only to see a huge piece of rock roll down the mountain.
— What the...
She closed her eyes, preparing for the impact. But when she opened them, she saw that Goron had covered them with a shield just in time. This broke the stone into tiny pieces. However, she was surprised to see Link shielding her with his body from a blow that never came.
— It was a bit strange. As far as I know, Death Mountain was dormant for decades. If it shakes enough to drop boulders that size… — Daruk frowned. — Never mind, forget about it.
The hero looked around, as if afraid of further shaking and moved away from the girl with a gentle smile.
Tumblr media
Link trained often and for long periods of time alone. However, he especially liked sparring with [Reader].
When he first saw her against the Moblins, he asked for lessons. Unfortunately, it became clear from the very beginning that the chosen one of the goddess Hylia could not be taught anything more in terms of swordsmanship. Not with the skills she had.
The blonde sometimes cheated and let her win. She scolded him every time she noticed, shouting that no one spares anyone on the battlefield. He accepted criticism but precedents were repeated from time to time.
There was something about Link that made her agree to practice almost every night. Even when, tired after a long day of service, she just wanted to collapse and fall asleep, she ran to the meeting place.
That day, she also found Revali training in the square in front of the castle:
— Have you ever wondered why he is the chosen one? Why not you or me?
[Reader] blinked rapidly.
Rito, known for his inflated ego, was still jealous enough to dwell on it. She gave up on herself quite a few months ago.
— You have experience and you stand by the king every day. You're his age and you've achieved so much. There has never been anyone like this in the history of the royal guard. And me? I am the best archer among my people. Nobody flies better than me. I control Vah Medoh, for Hylia's sake! What does he have other than a sword on his back?
— I was thinking about it — the girl began. — And I think I've found a satisfactory answer.
The champion's eyebrow rose.
— Really?
[Reader] sighed and turned her face towards the setting sun, trying to gather her thoughts.
— His skills far exceed ours. Moreover, he cares about Princess Zelda, although she rejects him every time, which is probably the most important thing in his job. You know what character she has. I've also never seen him refuse to help anyone and he wants to protect all of us here. Let's face it, he's better than the two of us combined. The perfect hero.
— And yet he doesn't talk to you.
Revali knew where to sting so that it would hurt.
— That's true but sometimes actions speak louder than words.
[Reader] picked up her sword and returned to training, thus ending the conversation. Meanwhile, the champion shook his bow and then took off into the sky with his bow.
Neither of them saw the sincere expression of gratitude in the blue eyes of the boy hidden behind the trees.
Tumblr media
The girl patiently listened to the story of how the hero dealt with the beasts. The princess told her about the battlefield he left behind and her worries.
[Reader] had to take care of a boy who showed up to training after the fight as if nothing had happened. Meanwhile, the condition of the wound, which Zelda had somehow secured, did not look good at all.
Despite his silent protest, she took the boy to the infirmary. Unfortunately, there was no medic in the room who was treating one of the generals, so she was forced to check the injuries herself.
She didn't stop herself from turning red as the blonde pulled off his blue tunic, revealing clearly defined muscles. To hide it, she went to one of the shelves in search of bandages, of which she actually had plenty.
The room didn't smell very pleasant. She never liked the smell of medicines and various strange mixtures. However, she forced herself to concentrate in order to restore the patient to a relative state of use. At least for a moment.
— Wait, Link — she asked before he could disappear out the door. — You should submit your report this evening. This is the most important thing now that we expect Ganon to return. Contact me for documents.
The boy looked tired. She just had to look at his face. She didn't want to burden him with writing down the entire massacre on paper but she had no choice. If the princess was right, they had to prepare for the worst.
The boy responded with a nod. Nothing to add, nothing to take away. All of him.
— And one more thing — she hesitated. — You should let go a little sometimes.
She saw the fire of determination in his blue eyes. She knew what he wanted to express with it. Ever since she met him, she had to learn how to understand him without words.
— I'm not saying you should give up completely. My point is that sometimes you have to know when to retreat. There is no shame in running away and these fights are not the end but the beginning of something bigger. If at some point Hyrule comes to face the power of Ganon, we will need you. Until then, I want to see you in one piece. Do we understand each other, hero?
Link froze, as if unsure whether he should nod again.
— I really wish I won't have to cry for you — she added sarcastically.
However, there was much more to this sentence. Something no one else could see.
— I promise — he whispered and left.
The sound of his voice resonated in her mind for a long time.
Tumblr media
Link knew this wasn't the time to dwell on defeat. He should pick up the princess and keep fighting.
Say anything. But what exactly?
— How... How did this happen? The Divine Beasts, the Guardians... Ganon has turned them all against us! Mipha, Urbosa, Revali and Daruk are trapped and it's all my fault. Our only hope ceased to exist because I could not harness this cursed power! — Zelda screamed. — Everything I've done so far has come to naught. I really am a failure! My friends, my kingdom, my father... [Reader]... I have tried and failed everyone. I left them for dead!
The hero felt all the words getting stuck in his throat. However, he couldn't get the thought out of his head that he hadn't said goodbye to [Reader]. They didn't have time to return to the castle when Ganon awoke. He knew that the girl had definitely stood by the king and stayed by his side until the very end.
Memories seemed to press into his head, wanting to bring tears to his eyes. Unfortunately, regret was a luxury he couldn't afford right now.
Another Guardian arrived.
The princess could no longer bear the burden of guilt that fell upon her.
— Save yourself Link! I can handle it. Run!
Standing on unsteady legs, he raised his sword, only to see Zelda run in front of him. Her hand emitted a bright glow, destroying enemies around them.
Power that was missing when it was needed most. It has awaken.
— Link! Everything will be...
Then darkness came.
Tumblr media
[Reader] floated with King Rhoam and the four champions above Hyrule Castle among the blue wisps. She wished she had gotten a chance to talk to the boy one last time like the others. But she knew Link remembered her. He finally regained his memories.
She saw that hint of nostalgia in his blue eyes.
After a hundred years, she was finally able to admire the beauty of the world again, now free from Ganon's rule.
This was enough for her to disappear in a light breeze with a smile on her face.
Link and Zelda, as if on cue, turned towards their former home.
However, all they saw were the petals of the Silent Princess carried by the wind.

The champions reacting to, when they first enter the divine beasts, hearing readers voice and reader explaining they were the first pilot?
thanks for requesting!! also, i wasn’t sure what to title this so if anyone has any alternate suggestions i would be happy to receive them
champions reacting to the original pilot
Tumblr media
pairing(s): revali x reader, mipha x reader, daruk x reader, urbosa x reader
media: breath of the wild
content warnings: none!
revali
➵ revali is perusing his newfound divine beast, checking for any secrets that might give him a leg up against a certain ganon when he hears the clearing of a throat and the beginning of your introduction.
➵ he listens curiously as you make a general introduction of youself, however, his interest is peaked when he hears that you were the original pilot of his divine beast.
➵ at first he feels a rush of protectiveness wash over him, as he’s come to identify greatly with being the champion of medoh, or rather the only one in recent history.
➵ but that’s another thing: you sound so modern, certainly not someone from a hundred thousand of years ago. its odd, and yet he feels himself becoming more and more intrigued by the second.
➵ you pose a question to him, asking if medoh is up to the standards of whoever might pilot the beast next. it was then that it truly dawned upon him, that these beasts were not only tools for defeating ganon, but also a legacy of which he will not be the first or last.
➵ after hearing your closing remarks, bidding him safe flights and calm winds aboard your prized medoh, revali sits upon one of the large wings, gazing out over his village.
➵ revali wonders if the person behind the voice ever sat here as well, and how many others have done the same.
mipha
➵ it was undeniable, at least to mipha herself, that she was utterly intimidated by the giant form of vah ruta. though she would never like to admit this, it was true, and it was something she was currently dealing with, standing outside the beast gazing at its opening.
➵ it was to be her first time entering the beast, for which she hoped a heaven sent epiphany would come and wash away her worries. tentative steps, and the small patter of fins upon the hard material sounded. mipha made her way into the main stairwell.
➵ contrary to her former beliefs, mipha’s prayer came true and a voice resounded through ruta. though, strangely enough, the voice had a ring of friendliness and familiarity.
➵ mipha was greeted with a hello as well as your name, age, and a couple other oddball facts. however, the one that was most shocking to mipha was your place as the original pilot of ruta.
➵ here she sat, in the middle of the cold hollow beast, being greated by a warm and inviting voice that said they had once been in her place.
➵ immediately she thought back to the story of ruto, a zora princess of the past, and the same feeling of familiarity passed. though your name was not ruto, and it was unlikely that you were also a zora she couldnt help feeling a kindship with you.
➵ how interesting, only a mere second ago vah ruta felt so cold and distrusting, however, with the grace of your voice and your story, mipha finally felt at ease.
➵ but just like that the recording was over, already she missed the ring to your voice, but somehow she knew that all over the divine beast was you. your little markings, and memories etched into the walls.
➵ it was a wonderfull thing, knowing that one day her memories too would join yours. ngl i almost made myself cry with this one im so soft for mipha
daruk
➵ daruk bid a booming farewell to the other gorons watching as he boarded vah rudania for the first time, feeling the swelling of pride and even more warmth spreading through him. it was no wonder the kind of honor he felt being able to call himself a champion.
➵ the elated cries of his bretheren could be heard as the hatch to rudania slowly closed, leaving him to finally be able to be alone with the divine beast.
➵ but something wasnt right, it was so isolated, and daruk already felt a shroud of loneliness hovering over him. he always had someone to protect, that was what kept him going in the middle of a battle. but even though the sounds of his people had just faded away he was lost.
➵ daruk knew that he was fighting for all of hyrule, for the gorons, princess zelda, as well as link. but for some reason, being alone in the dim light of the beast separated him from these things.
➵ suddenly, a greeting rang through rudania, startling daruk out of his short contemplation. you introduced yourself as the first pilot of the divine beast and daruk was frozen in shock.
➵ he became more and more familiar with the sound of your voice, and by hearing your story he realized that you were a person, someone who existed at some point in history. but you were speaking to him with such pride in the beast you originated.
➵ you were someone, and rudania was something meaningful to you; something to protect. like a torch had suddenly come to life, daruk surged at the feeling of having something in this divine beast to protect, it was you, your voice, and your story.
urbosa
➵ the gerudo cheif had little to worry about as she boarded the divine beast. generally very confident in her abilities, however, one thing lurked in the back of her mind. though she tried her hardest to trust in link, she was concerned about the state of zelda.
➵ urbosa had accompanied the princess on several of her trips to the springs, attempts at awakening her power, but she had watched as zelda failed each time. how would she fair? would urbosa exit vah naboris only to find the princess dead?
➵ these were all thoughts running through her head as urbosa boarded naboris for the first time. however, she was given very little time to reflect on it any more as a foreign voice sounded.
➵ urbosa was introduced to you, and instantly she was drawn to your story of being the first pilot of vah naboris. you sounded so young, how could it be that someone like you could pilot this beast, let alone be the first.
➵ something seemed familiar about your voice, and urbosa realized that it was reminding her more and more of princess zelda as she listened on to your ramblings.
➵ you were childlike, yes, but urbosa could tell from voice alone that you werent weak. had she ever thought of the princess in this way?
➵ if you were able to take control of a divine beast like vah naboris, some thousand years ago, what was stopping princess zelda from reaching her full potential now?
➵ the answer was simple the more urbosa thought about it. she should trust in the princess to do her job, there was no use worrying about others jobs when she has her own.
➵ but something else about your voice was stirring something in her. some kind of longing. it was interesting to think that this young voice could belong to someone so many years older than her. urbosa wished she could have met you, and shared in the glory of being a champion

A good partner for sparing
A/N: Revali is such a little brat. You can\t change my mind.
Summary: Revali doesn't know how to deal with his feelings.
Revali x Reader
Hanahaki Disease: is a fictional disease where the victim of unrequited or one-sided love begins to vomit or cough up the petals and flowers of a flowering plant growing in their lungs, which will eventually grow large enough to render breathing impossible if left untreated.
“Champion Revali, this is (Y/N). She is here to help me.” Zelda said, looking at you. “She is one of the best aerial fighters we’ve got from the castle. I believe you both can learn from each other.”
“Nice to meet you Champion. It is my pleasure.”
“A Hylian? Good at aerial fighting eh? We will see about that.‘ Revali scoffed.
The thing was, you were good. You were great in fact. It didn't take him long to figure it out. He didn’t want to admit it, you taught him a fair few tricks in fighting lower to the ground. You were a good sparring partner. You managed to keep up with him while staying so kind and soft.
He was in so much denial at first. Revali fell hard and fast for you and that freaked him out. Like he fell in love with you so much to the point that he was daydreaming about settling down with you. But, oh my god, you were so kind to him despite his attitude. He tried to be rash with you, be harsh with you, just to get you to hate him and to leave him, but you treated him with such gentleness.
You knew that he was working hard. You saw a lot of improvements in him from when he started to spar with you till now. He always had this arrogant smirk on his face but what drew you to him was that despite the front he put up, he was so soft with the young fledglings in the village. You were learning a lot about him and when his front was up or not. It was quite easy to see his emotions past the wall he put up. You loved the softer moments he had, and as much as his arrogant side would show up, you were able to take it into stride.
His chest tightens as the days move on and he struggles to hide the rose petals that fall out of his beak. He felt like people were all judging him when he was all flustered from a coughing fit. He would shove all the loose petals down his pocket and grumble about how annoying this was. When this happens more and more frequently, he panics. He starts to hide from you because he’s too proud to say anything first.
Revali asked Daruk to pile up stones in front of the flight range and Daruk was so confused, but okay, for another fellow champion, Daruk wasn’t gonna question it too much. It can’t stop the other Ritos from checkin up on him, but it would stop you, right? Sort of. You were determined to find out why he was ignoring you so much. What did you do wrong?
You walked to the flight range to find him to only see it blocked off. You can hear the bomb arrows going off and Revali coughing. Worrying for his safety, you scaled up the covered entrance to the flight range and saw petals falling down from everywhere. It was beautiful honestly. The rose petals had a sheen of frost to them before they were able to hit the ground.
Before you know it, Revali comes falling down nearly on top of you. He looks like shit, in all honesty. His feathers are all over the place. There’s a couple of rose petals stuck between his ruffled up feathers, he looks like he’s been eating dust. You stare at him unimpressed. You know what this was. You’re not stupid. He avoids looking at you. He knows you’re there and he has the audacity to try to walk it off, away from you. Revali gagged a bit more before he stumbled closer to the edge of the ground.
“And where do you think you’re going?”
“To train.”
“In this state?” You said vaguely gesturing to the petals around the flight range.
“Yeah.”
“No you’re not.”
“Yeah? Well what are you gonna do about it” He said, turning back to you.
You walk up to him and kiss him on his beak.He goes so quiet. He looked so flustered. But at least he’s not coughing up a storm anymore. When you let go, you whack him on the side of his head and call him a doofus.
“If you would’ve just told me like a normal person, you wouldn’t be like that for this long! I love you too, you massive idiot!”
He really should’ve just told you. He made you so worried to the point where you wanted to give him the silent treatment, but how could you. After you calmed yourself down from all the worry and anxiety, you sat him down.
“Revali, look, If it was something I’ve done to make you feel uncomfortable with you sharing your feelings with me, I apologise, but I really have learnt to care for you. Please, talk to me.” You shyly said to him. All the adrenaline left you and the cold was finally setting into your bones.
Revali was tired from hiding it all at this point. It hurt him and it still hurt despite the receding feeling of the flowers that once wrapped around his ribs. He didn’t want you to think that it was your fault because it wasn’t. He wrapped his wings around you.
“You’re shivering, (Y/N). I’ll take you home.” He gently helped you onto his back and flew back to the village. It was a lot quicker this way than just walking and from guessing how tightly you clung onto him, you were definitely in need of a nice fire and soup.
He set you down in his room and covered you in all the blankets he could get. The fire pit in the middle of his room did wonders to your freezing hands but it still didn’t stop the shivering that you’ve developed. He looked worryingly over you.
“What else can I do?” He looked over at you.
You shifted yourself so that there was room underneath the blankets. You looked up at him pleadingly. You knew it was going to be hard for him to accept any kind of physical affection, but in the moment, you really hoped that he would do it for you. It was private and it was after dark. God you hoped this was it, that this would help each other grow closer bit by bit.
He looked hesitant, but relented. He shuffled into the pile of blankets until he was seated nearly behind you. He was so warm and cosy.
“I really do care for you, Revali, you know that right?”
At those words, he tightened his wings around you. You felt his head rested on your shoulder and snuggled in a bit more.
“I…I care a lot about you too.”

A Special Favour
Part 9 of Memories of You
BOTW!Link x GN!Sheikah!Reader
Prev | Next
AN: I got hit with writers block so this took me soo long to finish but i’ve finally got it. This is tha last chapter before the finale so enjoy the happy vibes while they last :’)
Summary:  The ceremony for a group of heroes unites the diverse group as the Champions of Hyrule and, later they unite in the best cure for the crushing weight of destiny. Laughter.
------
“Lead our Champions, Princess. And together, protect our kingdom from the threat of Calamity Ganon.”
Y/n stood with their fellow Champions in a small pavilion outside the castle. The ceremony had been the longest hours the Sheikah had ever spent standing around, and they had once spent 6 hours meditating over the sacred temple deep beneath the shrine of resurrection. It was to unify their spirit with the great elders that now resided in a secret shrine of the hero. Apparently it would only open when the time was right. Guess the impending doom of the rising calamity wasn’t enough to wake the monk from their sleep to oversee the trials.
Moving on from their painful memories of meditations, the Sheikah now stood watching Daruk stretch out his arms. He was moaning about how exhausting fancy events were- something Y/n could definitely agree with. They were more of an outdoors person. Nonetheless, the Sheikah Champion stood with their pinky linked through Links as they played with the new scarf they had received.
“Y’know, as boring as these uppity ceremonies are,” This drew the attention of the other Champions and the Princess to their white-haired friend. Revali scoffed at the dismissal of the ceremony, naturally being a fan of the boost such high praise gave his ego. “I do have to say I’m a fan of these tokens you made for us Princess.”
The mentioned princess bowed her head with a soft smile. “It was nothing, truly. I am merely showing my gratitude towards you as the Champions that will protect Hyrule from the calamity.”
Y/n grinned back, dragging Link over with them to the bashful princess. That poor girl needed to get used to praise and up her confidence. Good thing she had her loyal friends beside here- yes, even Revali. “Now now Princess, don’t forget that you’re one of those Champions that will protect Hyrule. Why I’d even say you and Mr. Hero over here have the biggest roles of us all. And before you get down on yourself for not unlocking that power of yours don’t forget that, with or without the sealing power, you are just as much a hero as us. We have the utmost faith that when the time is right, you’ll blast good ol’ bacon-breath away and free us all!”
“Y/n is right.” Urbosa stepped between the Hylian and Sheikah, lacing a warm hand on their heads. Y/n grinned as they received head pats from the tall woman, sticking their tongue out as the princess giggled at the sight. “You are just as valuable to us as we are to you. Don’t you ever forget that we have faith in your abilities whether that power shows itself or not.”
Zelda looked between her friends with a soft smile. Perhaps she could do even a fraction of what was expected of her as long as she had her Champions standing beside her. She allowed her eyes to fall upon the Sheikah who was now teasing Link with the same praise. Zelda giggled as she watched red paint the boys cheeks from Y/n holding his hand to their chest as they sung his praises. He was just as bad at taking the compliments as her. Especially when it was from Y/n. The Sheikah had a way of making people feel like they could do anything with their infectious energy and confidence.
Mipha was the one to change the topic, having been given the Sheikah slate from Revali. “Is it true that this device can create true-to-life images?”
“Yes!” Zelda made her way over to the Zora Princess to explain the use of the rune she spoke of. While they had not unlocked all the functions of the device yet, they had focused their efforts on mastering the ones available to them. As such, they were quite good at capturing these images for their compendium.
Mipha stared at the tablet in awed thought. “Princess… may I ask a special favour of you?”
------
And that was how the group of Champions stood on the grass in front of an excited Purah and Robbie who was waving his arms around as a form of direction. As per Mipha’s request, they were about to take a photo together to commemorate the day they were officially named the Champions of Hyrule.
“Daruk can you crouch down? You’re as big as death mountain.” With a hearty laugh, the Goron Champion leaned closer to the group. Y/n meanwhile, was too busy teasing their bird-friend after they had caught him changing his stance upon seeing it matched Urbosa. Revali was swatting away their hands as they poked at him, ignoring Purah directing the rest of the group to fit into the picture. “Y/n, you’re gonna need to leave him alone or we’ll never get this done!”
The mentioned Sheikah gave one last poke at the Rito, snorting at his huff when arms wrapped around their waist. Link had grabbed his partner, bringing them to his side instead of Revali’s then closing their hand in his grasp. Y/n looked at him with wide eyes as they felt heat crawl up their neck. They offered a sheepish grin at the boy, something he matched with his own flushed grin. The two seemed so lost in their moment that they missed the click of the camera. Purah cackled as she stared at the zoomed in picture she had taken of the pair locked in a love-sick stare.
“Stay just like that!” Y/n grabbed her friend and boyfriend by the hands grinning widely at the Sheikah Slate. They felt a squeeze from LInk, catching his soft gaze again. THey were drawn out of it by Purah calling for them again. “Now, Smiiile!”
Just as the shutter clicked the group was knocked forward by the giant Goron behind them. Revali let out a squawk as he was thrown into the Gerudo beside him. Urbosa smiled down at Mipha who was matching Revali in her shock. Y/n laughed as they were knocked into Link who was staring at them in surprise, an arm out to steady them.
As the group stumbled to regain their balance (and dignity for Revali) Purah and Robbie cackled at the image on the slate. Revali was the first to recover, spinning to face Daruk in indignation. His glare however, had the opposite result he had hoped for seeing as the Goron let out a booming guffaw. Y/n was the next to react, letting out a snort as they watched Revali’s feathers literally get ruffled by Urbosa and Daruk. Watching the chaos unfold amongst the diverse group, they became unified- not only in their roles- but in their bonds.
And together they laughed.

Unusual
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild
Revali x Childish!Fem!Reader
Summary: You come to Revali to ask for his help with something unexpected.
Notes: Fluff
Tumblr media
“You did what?!”
You flinched at the tone of his voice, not expecting it to be so loud. Though you didn’t blame him. The situation you were in was rather alarming.
“I uh... Drove my Divine Beast into Death Mountain,” you quietly explained, feeling embarrassed from your foolish mistake. “And now it’s stuck in the lava.” You could practically feel the utter confusion and partial amazement radiating from him.
“Why would you even think about doing something so absurd?” He inquired, unable to come up with a logical reason for your actions. Revali had seen his fair share of activities and experiments you had tried, from using a shield to slide down the snowy mountains of Hebra to trying to create elixirs with downright impossible effects. But this. This was something the navy Rito never expected, even from someone as childish as you. Though perhaps he should have known something like this would eventually happen.
“Uh, I wanted to see if it could withstand the really hot temperature of the mountain, ya know, like Rudania!” Revali crossed his wings, looking at you with an expression that held no signs of amusement.
“And how exactly did your little experiment go?” He asked, quirking his eyebrow and trying to make you realize how stupid of an idea it was. You only smiled in excitement.
“It worked! None of the controls stopped working or anything like that. It was like she was made for fiery terrain!” Your smile died down as you quickly recalled how your Beast had gotten stuck in the molten lava, not being able to properly stand in it. “Well, kinda.” You sheepishly looked at him and he sighed.
“(Name), what do you think would happen if I purposely plunged Medoh into the sea hm?”
“You... Probably wouldn’t be able to get it back into the air...” You answered, not being able to look at him as he lectured you. Maybe it wasn’t such a good idea after all. You knew Revali took the Divine Beasts rather seriously, especially after working so hard to earn the right to pilot his and his reaction didn’t surprise you.
“Precisely,” he hummed. “The Divine Beasts are made to withstand a great deal of damage, but even they have their limits.” He looked at you, the corners of his beak turning into a teasing smirk. “I was under the impression that a Champion such as yourself was already aware of these limits.” You took his bait and were quick to defend your actions.
“I was! I just wanted-” A groan of frustration left your mouth. “Whatever. Revali, please can you just help me get her out of the volcano?” There was obvious desperation in your voice, that didn’t go unnoticed by the Rito. After all, he knew that despite your strange shenanigans, you cared about your duty as a Champion as much as everyone else.
“Me? Didn’t Daruk offer his help at all?” He asked, wondering why you had come all the way from Death Mountain to Rito village just to ask for help. Surely, the Goron Champion wouldn’t leave you to solve the situation on your own. You let out a heavy sigh.
“He did. There just wasn’t anything he could do. He just said: ‘If we try to shove Rudania in there as well, things could get ugly real fast.’“ You deepened your voice to imitate the Goron which Revali couldn’t help but slightly smile at. “Please, Revali. I need your help. You’re so good at controlling Medoh, maybe you could, I don’t know, pull her out or something?” you pleaded, which the Rito immediately took advantage of, letting out an amused chuckle.
“Oh, you flatter me, (Name). However, unfortunately, I am rather busy with-” You quickly threw your arms around his torso, not wanting to hear him declining your request. He stumbled back slightly surprised at the sudden contact. In truth, he was merely attempting to tease you. Your face buried itself in his feathers.
“Please please please, Revali! You’re my only hope! I don’t know what I’ll do if I can’t get her out of there!” You yelled into his chest, squeezing his body harder than you needed to, causing him to lightly gasp for air. How in the name of the Goddesses could a small Hylian like yourself have such strength?
“F-Fine! Fine! I’ll help,” He choked out, unable to withstand the pressure on his torso much longer. You loosened your grip and the Rito immediately took a deep breath. You looked up at him, a hopeful gaze shimmering in your (E/C).
“Oh, thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” You pressed kisses of gratitude on his beak and hugged him again, this time using much less force. His feathers ruffled up in embarrassment and he looked away slightly, but eventually hugged you back. The feeling of his warm wings around your form was comforting as you snuggled against him.
“What am I to do with you?” You heard him sigh, but his words were anything but malicious. He placed his beak on top of your head, wondering just how did you manage to do such bizarre and childlike things almost every day. It confused him, yet he found your nature quite amusing.
“Well, let’s get going.” The comfort of his wings disappeared from around you and you let go of him as well. Your eyes looked up at the bird-like machine that flew in the sky without its pilot. “Do you have a plan?” you asked and he let out a short laugh as a response.
“I’m fairly certain that with that creative mind of yours, we’ll have one soon enough.”

22. basorexia - the overwhelming desire to kiss.
pairing: revali x reader summary:  revali spirits you away to enjoy the new years eve festivities.
In the darkness of your room, you awoke to the sound of a soft tapping on your window. Twisting in the mess of blankets and pillows, you pushed aside the papers and textbooks that had accumulated at the foot of the bed, noticing only then that the candle at your desk had long since extinguished.
Head pounding, you rubbed at your tired eyes, feeling heavy. How long had you been asleep?
The tapping grew more insistent, forcing you to get up. Grumbling, you allowed yourself a second to stretch, ignoring how your room felt like water sloshing in a glass.
"Yeah, yeah. Hold on!" You said, hobbling to the window. Brushing the mess of hair from your eyes, you pulled the curtains away and roughly pushed it open.
The culprit hovered outside, eyes bright and smug. Revali looked very much at home though he was floating at a dizzying distance away from the ground. In the sleepy haze, he looked like a painting of some myth you had read before, with the late night sky as his backdrop and the outline of your window as his frame.
"Took you long enough."
"Apologies. I thought some tree branches were hitting the glass."
The Rito made a show of turning in the air. "Funny, I don't see any nearby trees."
"I know," you sighed, disappointed.
Revali rolled his eyes and poked his head through the window, feathers brushing past your cheek as he ignored your personal space in favour of scoping out your room. The stiff turn of his neck as he looked around reminded you of the curious and confused little birds that landed on the sill from time to time.
"Quite a dreary home you have here." Gesturing to the overall darkness, he pointed to your stack of scattered papers. "You shouldn't study without proper lighting, it's bad for your eyes."
"I was asleep."
"Why, I'm surprised. And here I thought you were one of the festive many who choose to stay awake at an ungodly hour in order to count down the remaining seconds of the year."
"Well," you shrugged, not wanting to meet his eyes. "Not like it's anything special. New year, same shit. What difference would a countdown do?"
Biting down on your tongue, you stopped yourself from saying anymore. The cold breeze sifted past the light shirt you were wearing, making you shiver.
He was right, normally you were one of those people who stayed up, excitedly watching the hands of the clocktower tick til they reached midnight. You enjoyed the energy of being in a collective crowd, waiting with bated breath for the first inhale and exhale you would take into the brand new year.
The final month on the Hylian calendar brought a sense of relief and a hope for new beginnings. Usually today of all days  you were at your happiest, jumping at the prospect of celebrating along with the rest of the kingdom and yet…
That sinking weight clawed at your chest again, forcing you to clamp down on it once more.
You grimaced. There it was; that bitter feeling. Hylia. How annoying. It twisted in your brain like an angry snake, pulling down your mood and enthusiasm along with it.
Last year you wanted to cheer and dance until the morning light. Now all you felt like was staring at the wall. Or falling asleep.
You blinked, turning back to the window to see Revali patiently waiting for you to continue. Feeling your face warm, you hustled your brain to get a move on. A coherent thought would be great right about…now!
"Hey have you ever wondered why they don't grow trees on this side of the castle? It's not fair the more expensive quarters get all the pretty greenery. I mean, non-noble guests still need that sweet oxygen everyone keeps raving about, you get me?" Shut up brain, that's enough. I said a coherent thought. C o h e r e n t.
Stars in his wings, Revali shook his head but answered anyway. "I agree, it's hardly fair. Also go change into something warm, we need to get you outside."
"What? Why?"
Something in the Rito's expression clued you in to the fact that he wasn't in the mood to play stupid. You've been sitting in the dark for the past few days and it didn't take a private investigator to know it was playing tricks with your head. "Fine, but when I say we go back--we go back, got it?"
He huffed, turning around to give you some privacy. "I promise on my honour."
The brightly lit lanterns of the town square made you squint as you shuffled closer to your guide, the sound of the city loud in your ears.
Though less prominent, the twisting feeling in your gut continued, making you more hyper-alert than usual to the world around you. Adjusting the sleeves of your coat, you followed Revali past the streets, the Rito expertly navigating through the sea of people.
Somewhere along the way he had taken your hand, and you told yourself it was a good way for you both to stick together. Wouldn't want you getting lost and spending the final minutes of the year playing an elaborate game of hide and seek after all. He was a great friend like that. Nevermind that everytime you would hold his wing a little tighter to remind yourself that he was there, he would always squeeze back.
You needed a distraction.
Just focus on everything that's not him.
The night was alive with the sound of music. It didn't matter if you partied with an alcoholic drink in hand, or a glass of milk, everyone in Hyrule was filled with an addictive buzz that came with an event that only happened once a year. Vendors with bright smiles called out from their stalls, the smell of freshly baked sweets or the sizzle of a barbecue beckoning you to take a closer look. To your left, a group of friends raised their hands in the air, loudly welcoming a Goron that had turned up late but regardless had finally arrived.
The archer followed your line of sight, guessing the question bouncing in your head. "Daruk is in Eldin, probably rattling Death Mountain with that story again about the Moblin camp and the barrel of explosives."
"I love that story."
"Of course you would."
"Sorry about your feathers though."
"Whatever, they grew back."
"How about the one's on your--"
"Anyway," he interjected quickly, playfully nudging you to the side and glowering at your laughter. "We've been told to 'take a break'. The other Champions have chosen to spend this day with their families and loved ones. We are planning to regroup and continue preparations in the days following."
"How about you?"
"I already said it."
Your cheeks coloured at the implications of his words, mind replaying the previous sentence. Families and loved ones. Families and loved ones. He didn't even hesitate. You both were not related. So that left you with...
"Woah!" Digging your heels into the dirt, you abruptly paused your brisk walk and saved yourself from colliding with the archer's back.
Stopping at one of the stalls, Revali held two fingers up. You glanced up at him questioningly but he refused to give anything away, expression relaxed. The vendor returned quickly, the Rito thanking them quietly and placing the payment on the bright yellow table cloth along with a large tip in their jar.
He turned around, dropping a square shaped pastry into your hands. It was some kind of rice cake, with a fluffy exterior and a golden baked surface that smelled of butter and felt warm like the sun.
Taking a bite, you smiled at the hints of coconut that were hidden in its sweet flavour. The sticky treat was familiar somehow. "Is this so luck sticks to you in the new year?"
Revali scoffed, though failed to hide his own smile behind the cake held in his wing. "You said the same thing when we first met. You need new material."
"Says the baron of bird puns."
"I am the king." He punctuated the statement by biting into his own rice cake. Offering his wing, he gently took your hand once more, turning back to step again into the busy promenade.
Following him, you noticed that the crowds ever so slowly began to thin. A lantern lit hill was coming up. The grassy expanse was dotted with a few people, though it was blessingly not as populous as the town square. "I should be the one that's surprised. Thought you hated crowds unless their attentions were all on you."
"It's tolerable so long as I am with good company."
The both of you walked up the hill with an unspoken agreement to make it to the top. Taking a seat on the grass, you allowed yourself to breathe, chest heaving from the small burst of exercise after days of being sedentary.
The twinkling lights of Castle Town stretched out before you. Gazing at it, you could imagine all the untold stories hidden in the glowing little pockets of the alleys and in the hushed whispers behind closed doors. Funny how in a city so full of people, one can feel so alone.
Revali was the first to speak, breaking you from your thoughts. "I think I can understand now. Looking at it from this distance, it really can feel like nothing much has changed."
You continued to stare at the lights, trying to focus on a certain string in an attempt to ground yourself. "Yeah. Sometimes it feels like though the world continues to spin, I'm remaining completely still. Just stagnant."
Frowning, you ran your hands through the grass, feeling the dirt shift under your fingers. You could feel your frustrations building, bubbling up to the surface with no way of dragging them back down.
"And the challenges just get worse every year. How am I going to face those old problems and these new ones if I'm still the same lost person I was back then?"
Your voice echoed at the last sentence, making you hide your head in embarrassment. That was loud.
Some strangers relaxing on the hill turned around to flash you an annoyed glare, before quickly returning to their picnics after spotting the Great Eagle Bow on your friend's back.
"I'm so sorry." You wanted more than anything then to dig a hole and hibernate preferrably for the next hundred years or so. "I'm yelling, that isn't like me. I'm so so--"
"There's nothing to be sorry about. You needed to say it." He glanced at you from the corner of his eye. There was a serious element to it that made it a little hard to breathe. "There is one part of that I don't agree with, however."
"What is it?"
"That entire section about you, how did you put it, stagnanting." He twisted a wing in the air, thinking on his words before pointing a feather directly at your face. "You're fully capable of enacting the change you want to see in yourself."
You felt a little dizzy now. But another kind of dizzy, one very different from the vertigo you felt waking up in the darkness of your room.
"And who said you were exactly the same as you were back then? You've changed. In a good way. You're stronger and more capable of things I'm sure the person you were two years ago or even less couldn't even fathom doing."
Turning to face you, Revali gave you his full attention, compelling you to do the same as the cadence of his speech joined the steady rhythm of your own beating heart. From the back of your mind, you could barely register the sound of people gathering together, their voices floating into the cold night air.
'Ten!'
"It's difficult to see your own progress from a distance."
'Nine!'
"So take my advice and start looking at yourself up close for once."
'Eight!'
He had that expression on his face, one that said he was thinking too hard about something. It was like watching him try to pull the planets together with just a piece of string. His brows were furrowed so deep that your fingers wished to run over his feathers and smoothe the worried creases.
'Seven!'
You slowly reached out to him, giving him enough time to back away. Revali stilled as your hands traced up the nape of his neck, leaning in as his pulse thrummed underneath the soft pads of your fingertips.
'Six!'
He opened his beak the moment you reached his face. You paused, half expecting him to tell you to let go and pretend like it never happened.
Instead, he called out your name.
'Five!'
He said your name again, though quieter now. It was enough to tug at the invisible force drawing you two together. Enough so that the polite distance nervously enforced by the both of you gradually began to dissipate, trailing away like a ribbon of smoke as you both leaned in closer.
'Four!'
"May I--," He cleared his throat, eyes darting away for a second before they were back on you again. Bright green in the lantern light. Emeralds in the desert sand.
'Three!'
"May I kiss you?"
"Yes."
'Two!'
"Your way or mine?" You couldn't help but joke. Revali smiled, exhaling a soft joyful laugh before pressing his forehead to yours.
'One!'
'Happy New Year!'
An earth-shaking boom rattled your ears, but all you could think of in that moment was Revali and the feel of his feathers against your skin; the utter elation of being so close to someone you deeply cared for and that cared just as deeply for you.
In the dazzling light you lifted your head from his, both your eyes meeting for a brief moment. Hands moving, you gently angled his face with a steady hand, feeling then the soft, butterfly light brush of his wings on your waist.
Closing your eyes again, you leaned in to press your lips against his beak, the blush on your face warmer than any fever or furnace. The Rito's soft sigh was barely audible as you trailed your kisses upwards, stopping at the red circle on his cheek.
Revali laughed again as you turned his face to press a kiss to the identical red mark on the other side. "You're very thorough."
"You deserve it." You beamed. "And this is just the beginning, just you wait at the end of the countdown I'll--"
"Actually my dear," he grinned, pointing to the sky.
"Huh?"
Above you were the vibrant colours of the firework display. It was beautiful and awe-inspiring, but a confirmation that you were definitely minutes in to the new year.
"Oh," you said, before shaking your head with a smile. "It's fine, we got 12 more months to prepare ourselves for the next one."
Revali nodded, pulling you closer so he could press your foreheads together again.
"Indeed," he grinned. "Now will you finish your sentence? What exactly were you going to do at the end of the countdown?"

If that's the case, could I ask for an Revali x reader where Revali was mean all the years to reader, but now they have to dance together on a festival because Revali's old dance partner broke her leg? (And the chief from the Ornis sad that revali have to dance with reader?) Thank you for reading ^^
The return of tsundere birb?????
I want tsundere birb.
Sorry if this took time, I was going back to my Otaku phase and I watched all Attack on Titan. Ngl, it's pretty cool and I believe in Mikasa and Levi supremacy. I'm not lying
Also, my teachers really said: don't let her rest, because I just had work after work every fucking day, but writing these was kinda refreshing.
I put a little bit of angst in this one, sorry~
I hope you like it ✨
Reader replacing Revali's old dance partner
I still have problem naming this hcs, help me please
Tumblr media
Another appointed knight of Zelda, Revali can't treat you the same as Link.
But he can actually, he doesn't treat you any different, except he doesn't insult you... That much.
If he doesn't like you, well, you neither.
You, nearly, respect him.
But you still are in a clearly inferior position then Revali.
So you don't have another choice to respect him.
He teases you every day.
Making you angry makes him kinda happy.
He thinks you look funny when you're angry.
He doesn't take you seriously 99% of the time.
Basically, Link and you must go for, kinda, the same treatment.
The worst part for you is that you past for this for literally years, since your parents were travellers, you visit a lot of places, and you lived near of the Rito village.
So, you had to see Revali's face for a long time.
Something amazing is that everyone thinks you are close to him.
Y'all got it wrong.
Couldn't be more different.
At first you did wanted to be friends, but he treated you kinda like a joke.
Going back to the present.
Revali still treats you like a joke
But now that just makes you annoyed so you keep your distance from him.
You can't do much when you, literally, are with Zelda all the time and she's always working with the Champion's.
A festival is coming to Rito Village, the elder invites all the Champions, including you.
You weren't sure to go, but even if you didn't want to, you had to, because if Zelda is there, you'll go.
You already went to that festival, it was colorful, vivid and had a great sense of home.
But when Revali was there, all of that fun go away, you may have left the festival on the moment he appeared.
You helped with the decorations, you lived almost all your life there, so you weren't a stranger to them.
Revali, surprisingly, took part of the preparations, he did loved his people.
Every Champion helped with the preparations.
Zelda was excited, she tried to hide it though, Link was... Happy? He didn't care that much, he seemed happy for Zelda.
Urbosa was interested, she had never go to one, Daruk was as much excited as Zelda, he's just always happy to be part of the celebration, Mipha was also interested in the festival, maybe she can buy some gift for Link.
Revali explained to them what they do in the festival, some archery games, for starters and professionals, a lot of traditional food and a music.
You talked with Link if he wanted to try the archery games, he agreed.
Revali just entered the conversation out of nowhere.
“Oh you want to participate on the archery competition? Be aware that I always participate and everytime I end on first place, there's no use on trying” I think I got carried with it
“Whatever you say big cucco, let's go Link, I haven't seen Zelda for a while after she went with the Rito children”
What he said to you... Kinda hurt.
You tried not think much about it.
At the day of the festival, you were always with Zelda y Link, the Champions sometimes followed but the go to something else.
Daruk and Mipha was with some kids, playing with them, Sidon was also invited so he stayed with her all the time.
Urbosa and Impa were looking everywhere, they liked the decorations.
Revali was showing off in the competitions, nothing new.
Zelda asked what you and Link wanted to do.
“Well, we were thinking about participating on one of those archery competitions but, princess, you are our priority”
“May you please forget that? Just for today, have fun, you can take this as you training time”
Link was surprised and conflicted, so do you.
“Are you sure princess?”
“Of course! I'll watch and cheer for you two, I'll tell the others, wait here” and she stormed off.
“Wait! princess- And she's gone... I think we should prepare” and Link just nodded.
Zelda returned with all the Champions, Sidon and Impa, except Revali.
They all go to the competition place, Link and you registered.
I like to think that the reader used something like the stealth mask, just because.
“Come to lose? I'm not blaming you, it's cute you want to try”
You tried to ignore him.
The competition was rather simple, you had to hit the target on the center of it and you gained points, some of the target were only available while flying, some other target's were constantly moving, other were so far away that you couldn't even see the center.
The competition was hard-fought, the three of you were almost tied, but in the final, Revali won.
“Very well... What a pleasant surprise, I could never imagine me losing to any of you two, after all, I'll be always the number one”
Now, that hurt.
Link was, as always, unbothered, but you were... Sad and really mad.
I don't think losing was the reason.
I think I making him really mean
You and Link got back with Zelda, the others noticed you were feeling down, Zelda tried to cheer you up.
“What if we go to see more of the festival? I know there's gonna be thing's you like” you appreciate her attempt's
Y'all continue walking through the festival until they announce a special dance is about to start, you and the others go to see.
You see Revali there and your mood immediately change to chill to about to go feral.
Zelda go where he was, Revali ease up when he sees her, it's the princess after all.
“Something's wrong Revali?”
“Of course not, just thing's aren't going as expected”
“What happened?”
“You are aware of the dance isn't? Well my dance partner broke their leg and nobody knows the dance except me and them”
Well... You knew the dance, you had see it since kid, but there's NO way you're gonna save his ass from embarrassment.
“Actually, I think there is someone” Urbosa stepped in the conversation.
“Really? Who?”
“Is someone you were disrespectful with no reason whatsoever, maybe if you start treating them with the respect everyone deserves and truly apologize, they might help you”
Revali got the hint immediately... And you knew.
Now, this is the moment you'd been waiting, let's see how long can he go to be honest and respect you truthfully.
Urbosa just smiled knowing that he didn't have any choice, is that or announcing he failed, and Revali hated that.
“Tsk... Fine, if it goes wrong, it's all your fault”
“You sure? Why mine and not the one who was disrespectful from the start?”
And that's how you attack the ego of a Rito.
Revali started walking towards you, he seem kinda awkward and upset.
“Not a step closer Rito champion, I know what you came for.... I have a question”
“What now?”
“You are really sorry or you just want to save yourself?”
Revali stayed silent some minutes, he wanted to say something but it didn't came out of his mouth.
“I thought so... If you're not really sorry, then don't even bother, also, you have to apologize truthfully with Link”
What? I wanted that too
“Wait.. I'm actually sorry...”
“And...?”
“It's just, I'm not used to this, I'm not use to have friends, alright? And you at the start really wanted to be one of them, and I panicked, I didn't knew how to react”
“Alright... You're leaving someone”
“Yes I know, I'm sorry Link for what I have tell you, you're... Not that bad...”
You looked at Link and he just smiled a little and nodded.
“Good try cucco, alright, I'll help you with this dance”
“You'll have to change clothing”
“...What?”
After a quick change to Rito clothing, you and Revali positioned on their places.
When the dance started, the elder was surprised, he'll have preferred a Rito partner.
But let me tell you, none of you care about it.
Revali had really smooth moves and you were light on your feet.
You finally had some fun with him.
When the dance finished, everyone started cheering and clapping, the dance was perfect!
You two went to the champion's, everyone was happy.
“What a show you two did!”
“Thanks your highness, I wasn't aware the cucco was able to dance”
“Are you kidding me? I'm better than you, obviously”
“What improvement you did”
You weren't his friend yet, but things were looking well.
“I gonna regret this... But you actually look pretty on Rito clothing”
Now, that was unexpected.
Every single one of the champions just stared at Revali completely confused.

hi hi!! could i get kinda of a continuation of the botw x platonic champion reader where the reader has a child? and then it like ends with the reader somethin bc i love my angst,, anyway i hope its not too confusing for u!! and i hope ur stayin safe and taking care of urself!!
You too! Thanks for requesting and sorry for the long wait! Hopefully I do okay with this! Angst isn’t really my forte but i tried
Warnings: Death, angst
Tumblr media
Okay, first of all, Urbosa loves your child and regularly steals them away for playdates with Riju
Sometimes Mipha brings Sidon on these playdates!
Zelda has 100% tried babysitting but... she ended up causing more trouble than she meant to
Daruk loves kids!! Whenever he babysits he’s teaching them all about different kids of rocks, which ones are good for eating, which ones to stay away from... (this kid is gonna have a lot of “useless” knowledge when they’re older)
Revali is prickly with everyone, but he does at least tolerate your kid, just don’t leave them alone around him
Mipha, Urbosa, Zelda, and Daruk spoil your child so much! No matter how many times you tell them to stop, they can’t
When the calamity hits, obviously you get your child to safety first
Purah and Robbie come up with a way to enhance the bunker so that it’s safer
You go into the battlefield, doing your best to protect Hyrule
Unfortunately, you get cornered by a hoard of enemies
You realize you can’t fight them all off by yourself, you send out an SOS signal... but no one comes
As you are struck down, you can hear the cheers of your enemies, your divine beast doing its best to stay active
You think back to your child, hoping they are safe and don’t have to endure the same fate as you
Once the fighting finally stops and everything is quiet, they go to count the casualties on the battlefield
Thankfully, your child was not one of them
Impa, Purah, and Robbie make sure to let them know about how great and brave you were
Your child grows up with stories about your strength and kindness
They visit your memorial constantly, wishing they could’ve gotten to know you better, and wonder what it would’ve been like if you would’ve survived

Daruk x reader fic
Sorry for any mistake you could see. I finished it late at night before sleep and I will look through it again soon. Promise :) P.S. Already did, but still sorry if left anything wrong here.
Warning! Angst, mistakes during text, short
He was your friend. The best friend you could ever dream of. You've always wanted you to be something more. Maybe the couple that younger generations would laugh about and older people would smile sweetly at. Or maybe even a family. A happily married couple, with a couple of kids who look like both you and him. But you never had the courage to admit your feelings for the champion of the gorons. Daruk is blind to these things, he did not notice those little touches, blushes and smiles that you gave him. He didn't understand that you felt something for him, but he didn't want to spoil your friendship either.
Daruk was rarely in such a state when he did not know what he wanted and wasn't sure of the clarity of his mind. But with you. When you were laughing together or sharing stories that happened while he was training in leading Rudania, and you were doing your own business. Every time you awkwardly bent over, inadvertently showing off more than you should, he would blush like crazy man and turn away.
At such moments, he got lost, strayed from the path he wanted to follow with you. Daruk was worried that you were making him feel feelings that he had never thought existed among gorons.
But he didn't want to ask for help. The Great Daruk decided that he would figure it out himself.
Calamity has come. You never told him how you felt, but you swore you'd tell him when he would come back after the fight. So did he.
You and the gorons watched as he entered the divine beast. No one then could have imagined that the indestructible goron warrior would never leave the mechanism again, along with the rest of the champions.
You've been waiting. You was ready to wait as long as it would took to tell him something important.
And Daruk fought. Fought fiercely not only for the sake of duty, but also for your sake. Just to tell you 3 simple words that would make you dance with joy.
But that didn't happen.
None of you had time to say these seemingly simple 3 words to each other. For all the time that you've been around, you haven't been able to. And now. Being on 2 different sides of the same world, you regret that you did not say them. None of you could have guessed that it was mutual. But you don't care. You just want to relieve the weight that hung on your heart.
It is painful for you to see Rudania. It hurts to look at the huge mechanism walking on the volcano. After all, your heart felt that he was still there. Still inside, separated from the others. Alone.
And then finally you decided to confess.
The pain in your chest was unbearable when you made a flying flashlight and lit a candle inside sending it into the sky.
The flashlight flew up to Rudania, which was frozen at that moment, and landed right on her roof.
The spirit of the champion appeared nearby. Daruk bent down to examine the object that was in his beast - the prison of his soul.
On the side of the flashlight is your signature and one simple phrase that made the great warrior burst into tears like a small child.
"I love you"

Hi is it alright if I can requests a botw daruk x small dragon reader both being old pals/ married couples being all cuddly, all that fluffy stuff uwu thank youz ( I know there no dragons npc that are dragons jest thought it would be cool ;w;)
↳ currently reading - with a small dragon reader
↳ featuring - daruk and gender-neutral reader
↳ from - loz: botw
↳ warnings? - small bit of angst at the end
↳ a/n - this request is super cute- i love Daruk and i think the lack of content i've seen for him is a crime. i do wanna say i wish i touched on the dragon aspect more but i’m suffering head-empty syndrome. sorry it’s so short! i’m very tired :’)
♤┈♢┈♧┈♡                       ✧                       ♡┈♧┈♢┈♤
▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀▄▀
♡┈♧┈♢┈♤                       ✧                       ♤┈♢┈♧┈♡
First things first, no matter your relationship with him, Daruk will think you're super cool.
He will constantly be fascinated by your scales and all your bumps and spikes.
And if you can fly? Dude wow.
If you are able to lift him off the ground he will constantly beg for you to take him flying around the volcano, almost immediately get scared of the height and ask you to put him down, then repeat the process next week.
If you are a fire dragon then great! You can hang out at the volcano with no worries :D
On the other hand, if you aren’t you unfortunately won’t see Daruk as much but he’ll totally go out of his way to see you so you’re in your own habitat :)
Daruk might want to spar with you once in a while too, he won’t fight to his full strength but he’ll definitely give you a workout.
That being said, you two are totally Eldin/Hyrule’s protective couple. No amount of bokoblins will stand in your way!
To be honest, no one can decipher y’all’s relationship. One minute you’re sparring and dude-broing each other, the next you’re snuggling under a tree and discussing your futures (a suspicious amount of that talk involves each other.)
The rest of the Champions are constantly 👀 when seeing you two interact if you aren’t already dating/married.
For a pinch of angst because I’m feeling particularly spicy; you were one of the last to know he died in the Calamity. He had promised to come back, so you waited. However, after about a month you ventured out, thoroughly tired of just waiting. You had come across two travelers and stopped them to ask what happened. They shared a look before telling you none of the Champions survived, they had failed. Seeing you freeze in your tracks, they continued walking while you stayed still just processing. In a blink everything they said came crashing at once. Daruk was gone.

An Enjoyable Evening Part 3 of 3 The Legend of Zelda: Breath of The Wild Revali x Reader
Hello! This is actually my first time requesting on Tumblr May I request a Revali x Reader? I really liked the last one you did and I was wondering if you could do a continuation of that oneshot. I'm curious of how the party will turn out. Will the other Champions be suprised that Revali bought a "date?" :0
Here’s the final part to the series! Sorry if the ending is rushed, enjoy!
Also yes, this was reposted, because I was trying to edit a typo on my phone and I accidentally deleted the entire thing...good job me!
It was around 9pm when the two of you landed at the castle grounds. The towering stone walls of the castle were in stark contrast with the tranquil view of nature you had witnessed in the sky not an hour earlier. Revali was leading you through a stone path. Ahead you could see a silver gazebo, with cream colored lanterns illuminated the surroundings, basking nobles and servants alike with light. Figures of blue, gold, black, and red drifted and danced through grass. While most seemed to be Hylian, there were also Zora, Sheikah, and other races in the mix. The night air was now cool, winds only strong enough to barely sway the lanterns. You walked behind the Rito as a guard approached the two of you.
“Ah, Master Revali. We thank you for your presence tonight.” He gave a polite bow. His deep blue outfit, adorned with silver trimming and gold tassels, gave an aura of authority.  “The Princess and the other Champions are here, shall I show you to them?”
“No, I don’t need an escort, thank you. I have the gift of sight so I’m sure I’ll manage fine.”
“Alright then, how about you lover here?”
“My wha-”
You both suddenly tensed. Revali’s feathers poofed up. You shuffled to the side and put some distance between you and Revali. The two of you started speaking rapidly over each other.
“Oh no, he’s not my— ”
“Uh, no. That’s not. they didn’t actually want to be here—”
“He’s incredibly annoying, and we hate each oth—”
“I mean, me, with a Hylian, *cough* obviously I w—”
“Well I don’t hate him, I’m just not, er—”
“Who would surround themselves with such a rude, and intelligent, b-but mostly rude—”
“—um, the point it”
“We’re just friends.” You both finally sputtered out in unison. When you went to look at Revali, your eyes met, and you both quickly turned away. Your cheeks were on fire. WHY? Why were they on fire???? The guard stood there with a raised eyebrow, staring at you both blankly.
“…OK then.” An awkward silence. “So, do you want me to—”
“We’ll just be on our way then!”
Revali quickly grabbed your hand before pulling you away towards the courtyard. You moved past the guard with steps, wanting to leave behind the embarrassing scene as fast as possible. Thankfully, it didn’t take long to take your mind off it as when you approached the rest of the party, delicious smells filling the air.
You stopped in your tracks, taking in the full picture. Tables were lined up on the side, cloaked in white cloth. On them, sat plates and plates and plates of food, more than you had ever seen in your life! There was meat and sauce and fish and steamed vegetables. Cakes and sweets and stews and rice. And in the center of it all sat a tower of exotic fruits, filled to the brim with apples, berries, hydromelons, bananas, and palm fruit. Sweet and savory aromas filled the air, not clashing, but blending into indescribable sensations that allowed you to taste everything before you could even touch it.
You then noticed Revali staring, how long had he been observing you?.
“What?”
“Why are you smiling so much? I thought the sight of such a large gathering might intimidate you.”
“Oh it does, but the food! Can you smell all that?? The food! It smells so good here…”
“Yes, well you see at parties, typically people attempt to enjoy themselves by eating edible foods, rather than five-day-old honeyed candies that you store away in a desk for when you stay up all night.”
You ignored his comment. “I’m going to the buffet.”
“Woah-woah, wait. We had a deal didn’t we? I’m sure you’ll still have ti—”
“A-shh-shh-shh-shh-shh!” You held a finger up to his face. “Hold your beak giant cucco, it’ll be just for a minute. I’ll come back if some boring noble attempts to bend your ear. Besides,” You gestured towards a Goron, Gerudo, and Zora, all adorned with bright blue garments. They were looking at Revali with curious expressions, seemingly wanting to approach . “It seems there are people here who have made the mistake of wanting to talk with you. I wouldn’t want to intrude on such a rare occurrence.”
Before he had a chance to object, you raced off towards the buffet.
… . .
“So, who was that?”
Revali sighed. “Just some scientist that desperately wanted to attend this event. So I did them a favor, considering I am known for my boundless generosity. It really doesn’t concern you, Urbosa.”
“OH-HO! You have a DATE, Revali?!?” Daruk slapped him across the back, playfully. Revali stumbled forward, nearly tripping over himself.
“AGH! Would you— ugh, first off,” he turned to face Urbosa, Daruk, and Mipha, “their name is [Name], and as I just stated, they’re not a date. If anything, we’re enemies, I don’t like them, we hate each other.” Mipha tilted her head askew. Urbosa cocked an eyebrow. “Secondly, [she’s/he’s] incredibly boring. Don’t bother asking them questions about me, or them, or how they got here, or how we met, anything that might cause unnecessary embarrassment between the two of you. As I said, they’re not that interesting, so I’ll be taking the burden of speaking with them throughout the night. Understand?
“Thirdly,” Revali glared at Daruk, “I would appreciate it if you didn’t bellow out things like that in the future. I’m sure [Name] wouldn’t appreciate you acting out so brashly during the night.”
“Aw,” Urbosa cooed, “Is Revali afraid we’ll scare away his date?”
Daruk gave out a mighty laugh, accompanied by Mipha’s giggling. Revali then shot daggers at Urbosa.
“Ha-ha. Very funny.”
“Yes I know, that’s why we laughed.” Urbosa gave out a smirk. Mipha started to snicker.
“Look little Rito,” Daruk moved closer, attempting to give a more gentle pat on his back. “I’m sure your buddy there is really great.”
“Did you say, little?”
“It’s nice to see you making new friends! Better than you being cooped up at the flight range every day, right? None of us are judging you here, we’re happy for you! I’m sure [Name] is a great, poised, confident, and respectable Hylian.”
CRASH!
The four Champions, along with the other startled guests, suddenly turned towards the buffet table where the noise originated from. The once towering fruit pile now sat collapsed in the dirt. The table it rested on was now a mess of colorful juices and littered utensils. Beside the scene, stood you, arms full of exotic fruits. Revali sighed, then chuckled to himself.
“Well, you never fail to make things more interesting, huh?”
He stared at the scene as he watched servants come rushing in to attend to the situation. “Definitely more exciting than spending anymore time praising that pesky knight.”  After a moment, Revali turned back to the others. His eyes narrowed.
“Where is Link anyway?”
… . .
You were shuffling between the servants, desperately trying to apologize for the mess you made.
“I am so, so sorry! I was just trying to move a random durian, and the whole thing just fell, I’m so sorry. The structure of the tower was off anyway, maybe you should add a frame behind it or something…without any infrastructure it was bound to fall sooner or later, it’s as tall as a Vah Naboris…n-not that I’m trying to blame this on you! It’s my fault, obviously, just, you know, it could have been prevented if the fancy lords and ladies put a bit more effort into public safety rather than grandiose gestures…but again, I’m really, really sorry.”
The servant waved you off bluntly, as if to say “it’s fine.” You attempted to spout out more words, in your ever expanding internal conflict of apologizing sincerely, but not sucking up to the noble guests who were eyeing you with distaste. However, you comically slipped on a banana peel.
“Wha—OH SH-”
The world tilted, as just as you were sure you were able to eat dirt, someone caught you. You staggered onto your feet and turned around.
“That was close. Thank you so much…” your eyes suddenly widened, “Master Link?”
Link shook his head and waved his arms. It’s not a problem, he seemed to say. You stood there blankly. You had heard about the Champion Link. Supposedly he rarely spoke, only in instances when it was necessary, or if he couldn’t communicate with his body language. He was wearing his bright blue tunic, the same shade as Revali’s scarf, and it was outlined with pearl white designs, spiraling down his chest in the shape of the Master Sword.
He then started moving his hands, around. His fingers danced through the air, leaving you a bit confused, before it hit you. Oh! He’s using Hylian sign-language. Really committed to keeping silent, then. You asked him to repeat the motions before you understood.
Can you understand?
“Yeah, I learned Hylian sign in college.”
That’s good. Not many know it now-a-days. Are you all right?
“Nearly fell flat on my butt, but I’m fine now, thanks to you.”
Is your name [Name]?
“…yes, how did you know?”
Revali used to talk about you a lot.
You gave a half-hearted chuckle. “Oh really? That’s…nice.” You moved your fingers through your hair in an attempt to give your hands something to do. “Master Link is rather blunt, isn’t he?” You thought.
You know, in Rito culture, they typically trade their feathers to show affection.
“What?”
“AH! Would you look who it is, the knight of the hour!”
Revali appeared behind you, but was looking at Link with a stern expression.
“Happy anniversary of pulling out the Master Sword. I hope you’re enjoying yourself, considering the King and Princess insisted on celebrating with all the useless pomp and grandeur, we could muster.”
Link just started blankly. Then, after a moment he just gave a thumbs-up.
“Well, there’s no need to irk [Name] or I with your presence any longer. I’m sure there are a variety of other guests that would trip over themselves for a word or two with you. No point in talking any further with [Name], so why don’t you start intruding on the other guests’ conversations.”
The knight looked between the two of you, still standing quietly, a confused expression just barely creeping onto his face. Then, he snuck a quick smirk your way, whatever that meant.
“Flap to it then!”
Link moved his shoulders up and down, shrugging. He waved to you before moving back towards the crowds. You glanced at Revali.
“The hell was that?”
“Come with me, I’ll help get you cleaned up.”
… . .
You stood in the gazebo, its marble structure glistening around you, as if it brought the stars themselves down to sit on the grass.
“And here I thought I was special”
“What?”
“Back there with Link? Well, it’s nice to know I’m not the only person in your life that you’re so rude too.”
He scoffed. “Don’t flatter yourself, you’re the one who startled the guests and tainted the party’s entire mood by wreaking havoc on these innocent fruits.” He picked off a piece of apple out of your hair. “Now your whole look is ruined.”
You shrugged. “Can’t go anywhere but up from here, right? Look on the bright side, the conversation tonight might start focusing on the clumsy, idiot scientist rather than the ‘little knight’ or the other Champions.”
Revali shook his head, a typical smirk on his face. “Shut up so I can actually make you look presentable. Here.”
He took something out of the pouch by his side. A cleaned, silver quill, more specifically, your quill. Before you had the chance to question him. He plucked a few of the loose feathers on his wing. He then wrapped them around the quill and presented it to you.
“Deep, navy blue, like a setting starry sky, pairs well with the silver, no?”
“Right. And I should care…because?”
He sighed. “Well, a crimson tunic wouldn’t be my first choice of pairing,” Revali set the weave of feathers behind your ear and through your hair, “but it looks good enough on you.”
You brushed the feathers behind your ear. They were soft, the edges bending ever so slightly in the calm breeze. Suddenly, the realization hit you as you remembered Link’s words, or hand gestures. Immediately, your face suddenly became flustered, cheeks starting to pink from blushing.
“Uh, so Revali?”
“Yes?”
“About my quills, uh,” your voice was resigned, almost meek, “my quills, they’re probably the closest thing I have to feathers, right?”
“Well, I suppose—”
“Kinda funny how we’ve been trading them around, huh?”
Now it was Revali’s turn to get flustered. His feathers were poofing up, once again. The gazebo was silent was silent for a few moments as you both looked into each other’s eyes.
“So, you know? When did you find out about the tradition?”
“Like 15 minutes ago.”
“Huh.”
The air was still once more. For an eternity, you watched the sky. The same sky that Revali had flown through, as he showed off his grand entrances and moves, the same sky that you had seen as as you drifted above the world. And now, it was the same sky, that you both looked at together. At just the right angle, you could look past the stone walls and gaze at the fields of Hyrule. Looking towards the eastern most part, you could see crimson hues just starting to rise. It was late, or perhaps it was very early? It didn’t matter, because despite this, the stars continued to wink in the west. They were perched on a canopy of ink, strokes of indigo were painted underneath as the stars glistened above both you and Revali’s reach. Finally, he broke the silence.
“[Name],” Revali stood up, pacing around the gazebo, “look, I think you’re incredibly smart and sharp tongued and attractive and charming, and an all around brilliant person. Sometimes, I’d be annoyed by you’re stupidly blunt comments, and other times I can’t get enough of our idiotic banter. For the longest time, I couldn’t fathom why I was always looking forward to our next meeting. It took me a humiliating amount of time to come to the simple conclusion that…I enjoyed spending time with you.” He paused and turned his head back at you. “And I want to do it more often…”
You sat there, smiling. Look at feather face over here, pouring his heart out. You couldn’t hide the blushing on your cheeks. Your fingers continued to graze the feathers in your hair. However, Revali seemed to take your silence the wrong way
“U-unless of course you don’t feel the same way!” Revali started sputtering out nonsense. “Wait, wait, this was a joke! My acting skills are quite convincing, I know. Obviously, you prefer to keep stay friends, right? I mean, platonic friendships are just as strong. Anyone would be lucky to simple be good friends with me anyway, It—”
“Ok, now’s the part where you shut up.”
“—and I would, wait what?”
You got up, and pecked a kiss on the tip of Revali’s beak.
“I said, now’s the part where you shut up”

I Missed You
Revali x Reader
Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild
Anonymous asked: Oh sorry! it was from one of your earlier reblogs it was “I missed you so much” thanks for responding
Oops! It’s long! Enjoy?!
Send in a Request | Masterlist
The dust had barely settled after Zelda sealed the Calamity away, and you were on your horse, attempting to get across Hyrule as quickly as possible. So much of your life since the Calamity had relied on the hope that Purah had been right. That the Divine Beasts’ internal functions hadn’t completely been taken over by Ganon.
Much had changed in the past hundred years. Hyrule had become a shell of what it once was. People had grown less friendly, more scared. And you… well, you supposed you hadn’t changed too much. Purah and Robbie had needed a test subject for the second round of their anti-aging technology, and you jumped at the chance to assist them. The scientists were two of the only survivors from the devastation at the castle, and the three of you had become close.
By the time you reached the Breach of Demise, you could feel the nerves in your stomach. You weren’t quite sure what would happen if Purah was wrong. It was Daruk who had discovered the hidden room near the control panel of Rudenia, and when the Shrine of Resurrection was discovered and Zelda made the connection between the two, you knew that no matter what happened, things could turn out okay.
Now, 100 years later, you clung to that belief.
The Rito Village finally came into view as you exited the Tabantha Hills. You could just make out the inhabitants gliding between the many levels of the village. Above, Medoh stood resolute on its perch, the red targeting beam gone now that its enemy was vanquished. You paused at the stables just outside the village to leave your horse before continuing on foot, crossing the several bridges, waving at the few Rito guards who patrolled the village’s entrance.
You didn’t realize you were practically running up the stairs surrounding the great central stone column until you were halfway to Chief Kaneli’s home. The village was surprisingly empty, but the higher you climbed, the more you understood. You could hear the rabble of conversation and the faint lilt of singing; the Rito were gathered together on Revali’s Landing. Perhaps that was a good sign.
You stood on the stairs just below the Landing at the back of the crowd, clutching the bag slung across your chest. One of the Rito leaned over to talk to you.
“It’s a miracle!” she exclaimed. “The Goddess has created a miracle.”
You grinned. Purah was right.
The crowd didn’t disperse for another few hours, but you stood patiently off to the side, watching and listening as the Rito greeted their Champion. You could hear the cockiness in Revali’s voice as he spoke with his people, relaying his accomplishments in piloting Medoh and assisting in the defeat of Ganon.
A hundred years looked good on him. Although, you supposed you shouldn’t be surprised. The resurrection chamber in Medoh had kept him from aging. His feathers were still the same silky shade of Prussian blue, and his braids were barely mussed. And even from this distance, you could tell his electric green eyes were still as sharp and observant as ever.
Revali had been one of your best friends before the Calamity. You had met him after a quest the king requested you to fulfill, and immediately found his confidence endearing. Since then, you made a point to see him every time your travels took you even relatively near Rito Village. You had been the one to suggest Revali to Zelda as a potential Champion, and of course you were the one to ride ahead to warn him when she set out to meet him.
When the villagers started to disperse, you wandered up onto the Landing. Teba, Harth, and their families were still hanging around, so you decided to hang back. The Hebra Mountains had always been gorgeous this time of day. You weren’t sure how long you stood there, staring out across the lake towards the mountains. The Landing had quieted, though, and for the first time in a century, you were alone with Revali.
For a moment, the only sound on the Landing was the breeze rustling through the trees. Then, the sound of talons clicking against wood as Revali approached.
He stood beside you, his wings folded behind his back. “You look… so familiar.”
You took a deep breath. Purah had warned you that, just as had happened with Link, it was entirely possible that the Champions would lose memories upon exiting the chambers.
“I should hope so,” you managed softly. You turned towards him slightly, but your eyes stayed focused on the mountains across from you. “We spent enough time together.”
He hummed, and for a few long moments, you felt his stare on your face. “Well, you must be important, then. Not just anyone can hang around the Great Master Revali, you know.”
You laughed. You couldn’t help yourself. His ego was as inflated as ever. “Oh, so you’re great now, are you? Goddess, we leave you alone for a century and you somehow fall even more in love with yourself.”
Revali narrowed his eyes. “You’re one of the Hero’s friends, aren’t you?”
“I wouldn’t necessarily say that. We’re friendly.” You shrugged halfheartedly. “I’m closer to the princess, really.”
He nodded. “You’re her advisor.” It wasn’t a question. Your eyes snapped to his. The confusion was evident on his face. “I don’t know how I know that.”
“What else do you remember?”
Revali shrugged, shaking his head. “I’m not sure. How do you know what you remember when you aren’t even sure what you forgot?”
Silently, you dug through your bag, producing a leather-bound notebook. It had aged well. The pages were yellowed with age, and the leather was worn, but the Rito had taken good care of it before giving it to you.
“Maybe if you read this, you’ll have more luck.”
He looked at you, confusion again evident in his eyes. “My journal? But how…?”
“Just read it.” You gave one last glance to the mountains. The sky was red as the sun set behind the Flight Range. “I should be going. I haven’t even seen the princess yet.” You smiled at him sheepishly. “When you’re done with that, come find me. I’ll probably be with Zelda. And I’m sure she’d like to see you.”
---
It was days before you saw Revali again. You had already met up with Zelda and Link at Zora’s Domain to do further research on Ruta. Apparently, there was something wrong with the Beast.
He showed up at your camp the third night you were in the Domain. Zelda had insisted on making camp on the cliffs surrounding Ruta so she could research later into the night. You were alone in the camp for the moment; Zelda and Link hadn’t returned from their day’s adventures with Mipha into the Beast.
“Not to worry, fair maiden!” the Rito called, flapping his wings hard to land beside you gracefully. “The Great Revali is here to keep you company.”
“Thank the Goddess.” You flashed him a smile, which he took as an invitation to sit beside you near the fire. “Whatever would I have done without the Great Master Revali?”
“Eternal boredom. Infinite suffering.” He shrugged. “Especially if you have to spend time with the Hero.”
“You know he has a name.”
“Everyone has a name, my dear. Some people just aren’t worth the breath it takes to say it.”
You laughed. “Naturally.”
It was silent after that. You watched the fire flicker in the light of the approaching. Revali shifted beside you, adjusting his scarf to sit flatter against his chest. After a moment, he cleared his throat before holding out his journal.
“So… I read this.”
“Oh?” You turned toward him, an eyebrow raised in curiosity.
He nodded. “Cover to cover. And I, uh… I do remember things. Certainly more than I did before.”
“That’s great, Revali.”
His eyes were soft, and a gentle smile played at the corners of his beak. He reached a wing out and brushed his silky feathers against your cheek. “I can’t believe I forgot you.”
You grinned, leaning into his hand. “I missed you so much.”
Revali hummed happily in response, nuzzling into your neck. You sat there with him in silence, his wing lightly wrapped around you, watching the sun set across the Domain. 100 years was a long time to wait, but you supposed the reunion was sweet enough to make it worth it.

Bad Timing - Revali x Reader Oneshot
"Hey, this is kind of fun!" You exclaimed while jumping from one rock to another. You could hear your partner telling you something, but it was drowned out by your joyful giggles.
You and Revali were on a serious mission. Somebody discreetly informed Princess Zelda about a mysterious structure they saw just off the path of Rito Village. The person mentioned that it was barely glowing a dim, orange light, and Zelda was hoping it's a shrine. Of course, she can't just go to find it by herself; It's hasn’t been safe lately with Yiga everywhere. So, she sent you and Revali to confirm her suspicions instead. Honestly, you were happy to be on a mission with him. He made it more interesting. If it were Urbosa, she’d force you off the rocks; Mipha would practically beg to get off of them, and Daruk would try to join you (which would never end well). Revali warns you about the dangers, but he does so in a way that makes you want to playfully ignore him.
Revali sighed and called out to you a bit louder, and suddenly it was hard to ignore him. "If you don't get down from there, I guarantee your foot will slip. And while you writhe in pain, I will only laugh." He warned from the dirt path beside you.
"Oh, relax! Nothing's gonna happen." you tried to assure him with a giddy smile.
"Really," He mused. "Because you seem to always go looking for trouble."
You scoffed and sent the champion a playful glare. "I do not!" Then you turned away with an embarrassed blush. "Though, I do enjoy befriending it..."
"Well it seems you have some potential friends on their way." Revali nodded his head forward to a large group of Lizalfos that was running towards you both.
With a smirk, you hopped of the small pile of rocks. "Well, it would be rude of us to not introduce ourselves." You noted.
"Then why don't we go say hello?"
You both took your time walking toward the horde since they were running towards you at full speed. Soon, they were upon you, and Revali began shooting them. Meanwhile you pulled out two of your hidden daggers; standing in a defensive position. Your partner took a quick glance at you before letting another arrow fly.
"(Name), do you not have your sword?" He questioned.
You hesitated a moment. "... No."
"'No'?"
"...It um... It got swallowed up by a giant rock monster..."
Revali rolled his eyes and shot another arrow. "Honestly, (Name)..." He sighed under his breath.
You couldn't lie, you were having a great time! Usually, missions were boring since you weren't ever paired up with Revali. His sarcastic jibes lined up well with your witty remarks, so there's always some kind of dynamic between the two of you. In fact, you've come to love meeting up with all the champions just to talk to Revali. You might have even come to love him...
Sudden you awakened from your little daydream to realize that the monsters have formed a circle around you.
"Lovely..." You muttered.
Revali looked around and sighed. "It seems they've surrounded us."
"Perfect." You exclaimed with a perky voice. "Now we can attack in every direction!"
The Rito was prepared to interject, but he decided now wasn't the time to give you a lesson on proper battle etiquette. So, you both did your best to fend off the monsters. While Revali flew to the air and began shooting from his spot, you would run up and quickly attack a few of them before retreating back to the middle of the "death circle" as you liked to call it. Your methods worked so well that most of the Lizalfos had already turned to dust.
There were only a couple left when one of them got behind you. Of course, Revali was there to take care of it, but the damage was already done. You clung to your left arm and dropped your blades while Revali took care of the last of the lizards.
"That went well..." You grumbled sarcastically as you cradled your cut-up arm.
Revali groaned and led you over to sit on one of the rocks. That tiny blush from earlier had returned when Revali put his wing on your back, but it wasn't a blush of embarrassment this time.
"I take my eyes off of you for one second and suddenly your bleeding out." He exclaimed while rummaging through the small bag you brought. He found a roll of gauze and started to wrap it around your arm.
You turned your head, hoping your hair would be able to cover your red cheeks. "Y-Yeah, well you're the one who told me to make friends!"
"No, I merely suggested it." Revali replied. As he took care of your injury, he noticed you were being... odd. "... Alright, start talking."
"Eh?"
"You. You've been acting strange ever since we left the village. So, start. Talking."
Great, you thought. He's gonna make me tell him everything until he knows I'm not hiding anything else from him.
Yeah, you liked him. But you could never dream of telling him! He... He sees you as a burden who just so happened to be good enough to become a champion. You're the burden who just so happens to be as witty as he is sarcastic. But, as he stared at you with his expectant emerald eyes, you couldn't help but open your mouth.
"... I'm... I'm sorry." You mumbled; lowering your head.
Revali attempted to wipe off some of your blood he had gotten on his pristine feathers while staring at you with genuine shock. "Why in the name of Hylia would you feel the need to apologize?" He wondered. "The Lizalfos attack was not your fault."
"No, I mean... I'm sorry about being so annoying." You corrected. "I know I'm loud and obnoxious, and I can never seem to shut up no matter what the circumstance, so I'm sorry... And, I know I got blood all over your wings and this probably the worst time to say this, but I kinda like you."
Revali stayed beside you in complete silence, and your blush began to grow even more. You were so nervous that you began to inspect your hands. Soon, you became fascinated with your palms. Was that fourth palm line always there...?
Finally, The warrior spoke. "(Name), you may see yourself as a nuisance, and yes; you are everything you just mentioned. Even so, you are probably the most interesting person I have ever met." Your head slowly began to look up at him, and you could tell through his snide-sounding words, he was sincere. "And I certainly do prefer to be paired with you rather than any of the other champions... I have grown fond of your presence."
Your nervous expression quickly became one of happiness, but the blush never faded. You clung to his torso; Giving him a tight bear hug. The pain in your arm grew, but you simply ignored it. Nothing could stop you from being your perky self. "You're such a softy, Revali!"
"Be quiet! And you speak of this to no one! I'm trying to keep up appearances! And besides, what do you think would happen if people thought we were together? I'd lose their love and respect!"
You quickly pushed off of him and crossed your arms. "Still an arrogant jerk."
"What, you think a confession of your feelings would change something everything about me? You think highly of yourself." He chuckled.
You smirked but your eyes gave him a deadly glare. "I will pluck you for dinner." You both continued on threatening each other in different, creative ways, but that only made you even more happy.
You were glad nothing really changed between the two of you, but you were going to try and make your relationship something more... Someday soon, you hoped.
For now, you'll just sit on the side of a dirt path with gauze wrapped around your arm; telling the Rito warrior himself to cut his wings off and throw himself off a cliff.

YES I'VE BEEN GONE. AM SORRY.
So, apparently failing school isn't an option so I actually have to assert myself this year if I want to graduate. Which means paying attention in class... Which means not writing in class...
I hate it, but I can't flunk out. I'll still try to update, but maybe not every Wednesday. I'll try my best to update every week, but no promises.
