Description: There's a man, standing on your front door. He is acussing you of betraying humanity... You can't understand his point. a.k.a. Guiding Light don't care, that, because of them, a literal Cthulhu appeared in Real World.

Someone was knocking on the door.

In normal life, knocking isn't something out of the ordinary, unless you are living alone in the middle of nowhere.

The Mansion wasn't in the middle of nowhere, but, it was outside the town (countryside, if you want to call it that), and there weren't any neighbors nearby, that will want to pay a visit. And, as long as Goncharov was aware, no one was waiting for a food delivery today.

An unwelcome guest was knocking on the door. And an unwelcome guest brings unrest. But, self-appointed chamberlain of the manor can't just abandon his duties and ignore the guest. Besides, Alexander, Gide, Mark and John were cleaning up the backyard, and the music they put "for a good working mood" were blasting through speakers, so, it was impossible to pretend, that no one's home and the guest should probably go away.

With a plastic fake smile, Goncharov opened the door.

A man was standing on the porch. About your age, he nervously fiddled with the collar of his jacket. After seeing Ivan, man almost jumped. His eyes widen in shock.

"Oh... I didn't expect to... Can I speak to [Y/N], please?"

Goncharov frowned.

"And who is asking?"

It wasn't the most polite way to address a guest, but right now Ivan didn't care.

The man gulped, he was sweating.

"I am attending the same university as them. There is something important I need to discuss with them."

Ivan raised an eyebrow.

"About what?"

The man... Student gulped.

"About after lectures activities. I can only discuss it with them. Please, can you call them?"

Ivan still wasn't convinced. What with all this secrecy? He was ready to send unwanted guest away, when Alexander, Gide, Mark and John suddenly appeared from around the corner.

Pushkin huffed.

"Hey, Vanya, are you slacking off? What happened with perfect chamberlain?"

Ivan, forgetting about the guest for a second, turned towards Alexander, hissing.

"I am doing my job! And my duties are telling me to send this one away!"

The guest whimpered.

"Please, I just want to speak with [Y/N]!"

Ivan was ready to send him off, when he heard another voice. This one was coming from the manor, right behind his back.

"Who is calling me?" You stepped next to Ivan, looking at him. He pointed at the guest.

"Him, Dear Teaberry."

You looked at the guest. Your face became blank.

"Oh, it's you. Need something?"

The man gasped for air. With trembling finger he pointed at you.

"JACUZZI!"

The small company became quiet. All of you started at the man with confused expressions. Meanwhile, man repeated himself.

"JACUZZI! You are a traitor to humanity!"

Confusion didn't disappear, until Gide slowly asked.

"Do you mean 'J'accuse'¹?"

The guest glared at Gide and pointed at you again.

"Doesn't matter. They betrayed their own kind!"

The guest's screaming attracted the attention of the rest of the BSD Cast, who now were gathering behind you in the lobby.

"Really?! Best Assistant, why you didn't mention that? Maybe, we could help!"

You gave the guest a side eye, before turning towards Ranpo's direction.

"You could help. Can you, please, fetch Howard?"

You looked back at the guest.

"And back to you, Castro²..."

You cleared your throat and pointed at him.

"C’est l’hôpital qui se moque de la charité³!"

Everyone became silent (and no one noticed proud looks on André, Paul and Arthur faces). You continued.

"Calling me a traitor? And who tried to sacrifice me to a Cthulhu? You and your friends!"

"THEY DID WHAT?!"

You and Castro almost fell on the ground because of the sound wave.

You shrugged.

"Well..."

You were bored. You were here for three hours already, tied up, listening to a bad chanting in R'lyehian. That cult (just a bunch of students from your university) were trying to summon... anyone from The Great Ones. Right now, they were trying to summon Cthulhu.

You yawned.

With a loud noise, a familiar tall man, with tentacles instead of arms, appeared in the middle of the room.

Howard looked around. His gaze stopped on you.

"Ahf'?"⁴

Castro stepped back.

"We... We didn't thought that Cthulhu will really appear! Besides, you are the one, who called it "old octopus" and promised it an ice cream!"

"[Y/N], we are out of ice cream."

Lovecraft appeared right behind you. Castro let out a scream.

"Cthulhu!"

Howard didn't look at him, instead choosing to poke your head.

"[Y/N], can we get more ice cream?"

You looked up.

"We will get ice cream after I deal with this little cultist. So, Castro, what's your point? Why you decided to go all the way here to accuse me of something ridiculous?"

Castro finally found his voice.

"You are friends with The Great Ones! You brought one to our world! We all doomed!"

Lovecraft slowly blinked.

"Aren't you the one, who kidnapped My Dear Treasure? And aren't you the one, who summoned me?"

You nodded.

"Mhm, it was him. And by the way, Castro, once again, what exactly is your problem? I am not planning to destroy humanity."

Castro looked like a kicked puppy.

"But, Cthulhu..."

You shrugged.

"Howard is harmless... Hey!"

Lovecraft, who was tired of waiting, suddenly pick you up. With his tentacles. Not paying attention to anyone else, he starts walking.

"Y' ulnah bthnkornah. C' bug ng get bthnkornah."⁵

Lovecraft didn't t care about the rest of BSD Cast, or scared Castro. You just go limp in his hold. In five minutes he will let you go, so that little secret will stay a secret.

"We won't be gone for long! Take care, everyone!"

You two quickly disappeared.

Castro nervously gulped. He was ready to go away, when someone grabbed his shoulder.

"So, care to tell us about the kidnapping thing, dear guest?"

Ivan's smile didn't promise anything good to Castro.

For the dozen time today, Castro gulped.

If only he slept until tomorrow and skipped today.

???: That's a good look he's got there. Makes sense, though, this captures the moment he got his hands on that Very Rare mat he'd been searching a long time for, so.

Jamil: Idia-senpai, is that you over there…?

Idia: EEK! O-O-Oh, it's Jamil-shi. Don't just suddenly start talking to me like that…

Jamil: My apologies. I didn't expect you to be this startled just by calling out to you.

Jamil: At any rate, this painting is spectacular… It's overwhelming to see the real thing in person like this.

Jamil: He overcame countless ordeals and finally obtained the magic lamp that he had been continuously seeking for many years…

Jamil: This painting perfectly depicts the legendary tale of the Sorcerer of the Sands.

Idia: …He continuously searched for just one thing for countless years, huh. I think I can sympathize with him.

Idia: Maybe he was able to work with others the same way you think through things, Jamil-shi. IDK.

Jamil: If there were any similarities in the way the Sorcerer of the Sands and I thought, then I would consider that a high honor.

Jamil: In most legends, he is described as a man who was prepared for any possible circumstance that could arise.

Jamil: That is, in both the country's affairs, and his personal affairs.

Jamil: In order to become someone as great as he was, I will continue to improve myself with care.

Jamil: From what I understand, in addition to being the king's chamberlain, he was also the prince's chaperone as well.

Idia: For him to lecture someone he serves like that, he's either got guts or is unafraid of anything…

Jamil: Well, if the prince was the type to do his own thing, or act without thinking, dragging other people around him into his messes…

Jamil: I think I also would have a few frank words to say to him.

Idia: Jamil-shi, doesn't it seem like you're bringing your own feelings into this?

Jamil: …You must be imagining it.

Jamil: Now that I think of it… I heard that this hornbill was once asked by the King of Beasts to sing lullabies.

Idia: H-He asked his stern chamberlain for lullabies… Sounds like the King of Beasts' courage knew no bounds.

Jamil: Perhaps he got along well with the King of Beasts, let alone the prince.

Idia: My vote is that he'd have him sing lullabies in retaliation for nagging him day in and day out.

Jamil: Haha, that's possible too.

Jamil: But even so… Lullabies, huh. I remember my sister used to pester me for them all the time way back when, too.

Idia: U-Uh-huh… What another lovely memory for you.

Jamil: I don't know what you may be imagining, Idia-senpai… But it absolutely isn't a lovely memory at all.

Jamil: Yes. Even though I tried my utmost to sing her a lullaby to help her sleep…

Idia: She wouldn't sleep at all?

Jamil: That'd still be a cuter outcome than what would happen.

Jamil: Well, sure… Ever since my sister first made fun of me, I've practiced a lot. I thought I improved enough that I could sing in front of people without embarrassing myself.

Jamil: My sister was also watching the live broadcast of the VDC, so I said to her, "Guess you can't make fun of me for being terrible at singing anymore"…

Jamil: And she responded with, "What are you even talking about?"

Idia: So she didn't even remember she said all that!? H-Heehee… Jamil-shi, that sucks!

Jamil: Right, I felt like an idiot for overthinking it for years.

Jamil: Well, I guess all's end that ends well, since all that practice means that my grades in music class don't suffer.

Idia: Ooh, the painting we can see over there is of the Thorn Fairy. It looks like she's in a bit of a pinch surrounded by a ton of soldiers.

Jamil: Yes but look at her expression. Although there are so many weapons pointed at her, she fears nothing.

Idia: More like the soldiers are the ones who're scared of her. But, how did this situation happen, in the first place?

Jamil: They say that the Thorn Fairy held magical power so great that everyone prostrated themselves before her. That is why she is legendary.

Jamil: However, humans often fear those who have unfathomable power…

Jamil: So I'm sure there were some humans who would attempt to point their weapons at her in this fashion. Foolish, is all I can call them.

Idia: Uh-huuuh, I see. If it were a video game, I can understand getting all excited trying to figure out a way out of throng of people, but…

Idia: If I ever got surrounded by so many people IRL, I'd faint immediately.

Jamil: I'm sure you're just overexaggerating about the faint…

Idia: Overexaggerating!? J-Jamil-shi, are you saying that you could go up against a large group of people like that and stay composed?

Jamil: Hm, I would… I would come back another day and request to speak one-on-one with the king who commands those soldiers.

Jamil: Well, that's assuming that they are a king who is willing to have a rational discussion.

Idia: Oh, so you wouldn't be able to handle them like the Thorn Fairy would…

Jamil: Well, isn't she considered one of the Great Seven because she can accomplish things that ordinary people cannot?

Jamil: Not only does she harness great power, but she is also very big-hearted. If it were me, I would probably have retaliated against them.

Idia: Oh, yeah? What kind of revenge would you come up with? Make 'em stub their toe on a desk corner or something?

Jamil: Heh, perhaps.

Idia: Oh, that look in his eyes means he's definitely plotting something…

Idia: I-I just remembered something urgent I need to do, so I'll leave you to it!

Doing kill counts of the ATLA universe out of boredom (not including the Yangchen or Roku novels because I have not read them yet, so no spoilers).

Sozin: Unknown, but he committed genocide on the Air Nomads, so at least thousands.

Azulon and Ozai: Unknown but are to blame for the death of thousands, maybe millions.

Jianzhu: Kelsang, Saiful, Chamberlain Hui and a few other sages, all those Yellow Necks-- he had confirmed kill count of over 5000 people.

Tagaka: Unknown amount of people, but she killed Amak and clearly killed more. So at least one known and many others unknown.

Amak: Unknown but he was a professional assassin, so-- yeah, probably a dozen or two at least.

Kelsang: The Living Typhoon! He caused the deaths of a bunch of pirates. Unknown amount of kills, though.

Hei-Ran: Unknown amount of kills, but she had the record of most kills during Agni Kais, so several people at least.

Yun: Like four randos in the Earth Kingdom, Jianzhu, Lu Beifong, Chancellor Dairin, a bunch of Fire Nation guards, Father Glowworm-- like a dozen kills at least.

Kyoshi: Killed Xu Ping An, Yun and Chin the Conqueror, so known kill count of three. Unknown, definitely more.

Lao Ge: Unknown but probably many people.

Kuruk: No known human kills, but did slay several dark spirits.

Gyatso: He was surrounded by a lot of corpses of Firebenders, so the guy definitely killed like a dozen people at least.

Aang (possessed by the Ocean Spirit): A few hundreds at least. Then again that wasn't really him because the kid was possessed, that was the Ocean Spirit*

Long Feng: One, Jet. Thought it was really unclear at the time.

Azula: One, Aang. Sure he came back but the kid was dead.

Zaheer: The Earth Queen, and I guess you could kinda count Aiwei? Though he didn't really die. Anyway, one or two.

Ghazan: I guess you can count himself?

Tarrlok: Two, himself and Noatak.

Unalaq: One, Raava I guess? She came back though.

Korra: Technically One, Unavaatu. Sure, her uncle was gonna die anyway, but she finished the job and felt responsible for not saving him, so she kinda saw it as killing him.

Kuvira: Hiroshi and two guards, so like three.

So far I can't think of any other deaths? Like there's people like Iroh who was a general and most likely killed people as well, and you can argue that the rest of the Gaang likely took some more lives (most of all Sokka, Toph and Suki while they were taking down those airships during the comet, I mean someone had to fucking die there c'mon), as well as probably believing that the rest of the Red Lotus killed as well. And more probable kills from more people. But no confirmation though lmao.

he was really good at hockey since the day he picked up the hockey stick and he was instantly deemed the "golden" child

he played hockey at the university of michigan during the 2021-22 and the 2022-23 before getting picked by the new jersey devils in the 2023 draft

she's closest to her younger brother because they grew up together, liz moved away as soon as she turned 18 because she wanted to pursue an acting career

Random Facts: Zayne

Major thanks to @ourlittleuluru for giving me the heads up on these! But with the release of Version 3, new Glint Photobooth poses were released in the Chocolate Shop. These poses show the love interest seated in a chair and reading a book. In Zayne's pose, he seems to be an exception since he is shown standing and holding a clipboard. If you rotate the camera, you can see some barely legible text on the page.

After some analysis and research, I was able to confirm that Zayne is reading an excerpt from the following irl book:

"The reference to the player, as well as the allusion to Aesop’s crow (who strutted in borrowed plumage, as an actor struts in fine words not his own), makes it clear that by this date Shakespeare had both acted and written. That Shakespeare is meant is indicated not only by Shake-scene but also by the parody of a line from one of Shakespeare’s plays, 3 Henry VI: “O, tiger’s heart wrapped in a woman’s hide” (1.4.137). If in 1592 Shakespeare was prominent enough to be attacked by an envious dramatist, he probably had served an apprenticeship in the theater for at least a few years.

In any case, although there are no extant references to Shakespeare between the record of the baptism of his twins in 1585 and Greene’s hostile comment about “Shake-scene” in 1592, it is evident that during some of these “dark years” or “lost years” Shakespeare had acted and written. There are a number of subsequent references to him as an actor. Documents indicate that in 1598 he is a “principal comedian,” in 1603 a “principal tragedian,” in 1608 he is one of the “men players.” (We do not have, however, any solid information about which roles he may have played; later traditions say he played Adam in As You Like It and the ghost in Hamlet, but nothing supports the assertions. Probably his role as dramatist came to supersede his role as actor.) The profession of actor was not for a gentleman, and it occasionally drew the scorn of university men like Greene who resented writing speeches for persons less educated than themselves, but it was respectable enough; players, if prosperous, were in effect members of the bourgeoisie, and there is nothing to suggest that Stratford considered William Shakespeare less than a solid citizen. When, in 1596, the Shakespeares were granted a coat of arms—i.e., the right to be considered gentlemen— the grant was made to Shakespeare’s father, but probably William Shakespeare had arranged the matter on his own behalf In subsequent transactions he is occasionally styled a gentleman.

Although in 1593 and 1594 Shakespeare published two narrative poems dedicated to the Earl of Southampton, Venus and Adonis and The Rape of Lucrece, and may well have written most or all of his sonnets in the middle nineties, Shakespeare’s literary activity seems to have been almost entirely devoted to the theater. (It may be significant that the two narrative poems were written in years when the plague closed the theaters for several months.) In 1594 he was a charter member of a theatrical company called the Chamberlain’s Men, which in 1603 became the royal company, the King’s Men, making Shakespeare the king’s playwright. Until he retired to Stratford (about 1611, apparently), he was with this remarkably stable company. From 1599, the company acted primarily at the Globe theater, in which Shakespeare held a one-tenth interest. Other Elizabethan dramatists are known to have acted, but no other is known also to have been entitled to a share of the profits.

Shakespeare’s first eight published plays did not have his name on them, but this is not remarkable; the most popular play of the period, Thomas Kyd’s The Spanish Tragedy, went through many editions without naming Kyd, and Kyd’s authorship is known only because a book on the profession of acting happens to quote (and attribute to Kyd) some lines on the interest of Roman emperors in the drama. What is remarkable is that after 1598 Shakespeare’s name commonly appears on printed plays—some of which are not his. Presumably, his name was a drawing card, and publishers used it to attract potential buyers. Blorbos of '24!

First off was the blorbo who carried me into the new year, Bail Organa. He's beautiful, strong, heroic, cutthroat, and I love him. I added two extra chapters to 3D Tapestry just because of him AND created a whole religion for Alderaan.

Elrond took up most of my year, as usual. But look at him! He's just so squshable! I wrote/updated 8 fics centering him this year and ran @adarondweek

Jay (son of Jafar) was actually briefly my favorite blorbo this semester. I binge-re-read the "Son of Jafar" series on ao3 and made a very long post thinking about how he might relate with Islam given his universe (fun fact: I actually sort of worked with Booboo Stewart one time! It was a musical theater camp that partnered with Penguin Project (a theater program for teens and young adults with disabilities) one year and I got to attend because I volunteered as a mentor with the project. At one point, he was doing our dance routine with us, and he was only like, a foot away from me! It was so cool! I didn't talk to him because I was busy working with my penguins, but we were taught choreography by Kenny Ortega, Kristen Chenowyth taught us singing, and Kevin Chamberlain WAVED AT ME!!!)

Anne Boonchuy was another fun one. It's always fun to watch her turn from a selfish jerk into a girl who was offered a job as God. I didn't write anything about her, but I binge watched Amphibia and read a crap-ton of fanfiction!

My current blorbo is Georgie Cooper from Young Sheldon and, like, three episodes of Big Bang Theory. The man, the myth, the legend. He's sweet, caring, dependable, the eldest child in a family with a kid with special needs but never complains about the lack of support, hard working, and HOT! Seriously. The hair, the accent, the smile... I love him so much 😍

(Also, this fandom needs so much more fanfiction, there's hardly any 😭. I'm working on one myself, but I'm just one person)

"Fundamental to Alice's ability to increase her perceived influence in this fashion was her position at court. Continuing the pattern that had emerged towards the end of the 1360s during Philippa’s illness, after the death of his wife Edward III became even more politically inactive as his own health declined and he sought greater privacy with a restricted group of trusted companions at his favoured residences of Sheen, Eltham and Havering, leaving the majority of the royal household at Windsor. This created a royal court that was very much separate from the royal household. At the same time there was a marked decline in the number of members of the aristocracy amongst the king’s companions and, with the exception of the earl of Arundel, all the lords of Edward’s generation had either died or stopped attending council meetings by 1373. Of the king’s surviving sons, the Black Prince virtually retired from public life after returning from Aquitaine in 1371 debilitated by illness, Thomas of Woodstock was still too young to take an active role in government, and John of Gaunt and Edmund of Langley attended court when they could, but they, together with the young earls of March, Suffolk, Warwick, Oxford and Stafford, were too busy on the continent following the resumption of the war with France in 1369 to have any consistent presence at court.

It was under these circumstances that a small group of royal favourites, collectively identified as the court covyne or clique, came to dominate the person, policy and patronage of Edward III during the final years of his life. At the heart of this intimate circle was Alice. The other leading members were the chamberlain, William Lord Latimer; the steward, John Lord Neville of Raby; the chamber knight Richard Stury; and the financier, Richard Lyons. They were followed by a broader circle of household members and London merchants, who included: Helming Leget, receiver of the chamber; Sir John Ipres, controller of the king’s household; Nicholas Carew, keeper of the privy seal; Sir Robert Ashton, treasurer from 1375; Sir Alan Buxhull, chamber knight and constable of the Tower of London; Philip la Vache; John Pyel; Adam Francis; John Peeche; and Adam Bury. The supremacy this group maintained over the king was self-perpetuating; just as Edward, in his desire for his mistress and to be surrounded by a small number of intimates, came to be dependent on Alice, Latimer and their associates, so the members of this close-knit group reinforced their disproportionate amount of influence by supporting each other’s position.

This is not to suggest that Alice was dependent on the court covyne for her position. On the contrary, it could be argued that the king’s infatuation with his mistress made her the personal linchpin without whom the rest of the group would have fallen apart. This put Alice in a position of enormous power, as she was able not only to cajole and flatter Edward into giving her gifts of land and jewels, but also to make great demands of those who sought favour with the king and who came to her in the knowledge that, where Edward III was concerned, Alice could achieve whatever she desired. The queen’s death, her position at court, and her consequent visibility: these are the three reasons for Alice’s extraordinary rise to power after 1369 and her dramatic fall from grace in 1376, when she and her fellow courtiers came under attack from the Commons in the Good Parliament."
