My advice for your Chiron placement:
- find your house placement and the sign it’s in for most accurate message (example: Chiron in the 1st house in sign of Scorpio)
Chiron 1st house/ Aries: Your wound is connected to your personal expression and authenticity. Leading to insecurity, physical ailments, suppressed anger, and shame. This can create a disconnect between how you present yourself and how you truly feel.
To heal this wound, embrace radical self-acceptance and trust your instincts. Take a leap of faith by setting boundaries, both with others and yourself. Hold yourself accountable for your desires and advocate for your needs. Challenge negative self-talk and self-doubt by asking, “What would my life look like if I let go of others expectations and pursued what I truly want?” With Chiron in the 1st house, it's essential to prioritize your own needs. Regularly check in with yourself to ensure your actions align with your true desires rather than people-pleasing. Remember to show yourself compassion and love, by doing so you encourage others around you to do the same and can help heal those who may struggle in the same ways you do!
Chiron 2nd house/ Taurus:
Your deepest wound relates to material security, self-worth, and stability. You may have felt unsupported at times, leading to a sense of constant lack and difficulty relaxing in the present moment.
To heal, recognize that your worth is not tied to money or possessions. Address feelings of unworthiness stemming from past trauma and explore areas where you may be settling for less due to fear of scarcity. Open yourself to new opportunities for abundance and let go of unnecessary attachments driven by the fear of loss or loneliness.
Address challenges with balancing spending and saving or even hoarding. By confronting these fears, you can begin to heal and find balance in your life. By healing these areas of life you can help others that struggle in these areas as well!
Chiron 3rd house/ Gemini:
Your wound lies in communication, social interactions, and understanding. You may struggle with learning disabilities or speech issues, or just feeling unheard or misunderstood. This can lead to social anxiety and difficulty connecting with others, especially in your early years.
To heal, focus on detaching from others opinions of you. Journaling, writing, and public speaking can help you find your voice. Surround yourself with accepting people and practice mindful communication and active listening. By nurturing this pain, you can transform it into a strength, becoming an effective communicator and even helping others who face similar challenges!
Chiron in 4th House/Cancer:
Your deepest wound relates to family, home life, and emotional stability. Growing up, you may have faced significant hardships that impacted your sense of safety. Healing can be challenging since family is central to your identity. Create a sanctuary at home and build a chosen family to foster support. If safe, work on healing toxic family dynamics. As a generational curse breaker, you may feel alienated, but nurturing yourself will help you appreciate your connections and establish a safe, loving home environment. By creating a safe stable home life you end generational issues and can help heal others who struggle with the same issues.
Chiron in 5th House/Leo:
Your wound lies in creativity, self-expression, and joy. You might struggle with taking up space, feeling unworthy or annoying, even when well-received. Early experiences of bullying or rejection may contribute to these feelings. To heal, identify the root of your insecurities and explore creative outlets to express yourself positively. Cultivate self-trust and avoid second-guessing. Affirmations of self-love and acceptance are essential for building confidence and embracing your true self. By being your most authentic self you encourage others around you to do the same.
Chiron in 6th House/Virgo:
Your wound revolves around health, wellness, and routine. You may overextend yourself, prioritizing others needs at the expense of your own, which can lead to physical or mental health struggles. You may have grown up caring for a loved one in some way or were placed in a situation where your needs often came second, so you might lack boundaries in balancing self-care vs caregiving. To heal, simplify your daily life and establish a structured routine that prioritizes your health. By focusing on self-care and setting practical boundaries for yourself you can also become a healer for others facing similar challenges.
Chiron in 7th House/Libra:
Your wound is centered on personal relationships, partnerships, and justice. You may struggle with trauma in relationships or find it difficult to connect deeply with others, leading to feelings of confusion and isolation. Healing comes from focusing on your individual goals and cultivating independence. It’s essential to balance your needs with those of others, avoid settling for attention, and take the time to truly know people before committing. Additionally, work on opening your heart and learning to trust again after past traumas.
Chiron in 8th House/Scorpio:
Your deepest wound involves intimacy, trust, and shared resources. Past trauma may create fears around vulnerability, making emotional connections difficult. This placement indicates a profound healing journey that requires deep emotional transformation. You will face challenges that confront your fears, often leaving you feeling powerless. However, like a phoenix, you can rise stronger. To heal, explore your innermost self, allow yourself to feel your emotions, and confront your traumas. Embrace surrender and discover your personal strength amidst the darkness. This placement is an indication of being a powerful healer, as you learn to alchemize your pain you increase your personal power and help empower others by doing so.
Chiron in 9th House/Sagittarius:
Your wound centers on spirituality, religion, and faith. Past experiences may have led you to question your beliefs, creating a rift in your spiritual understanding. You might feel betrayed by life and struggle to see the bigger picture, often facing religious trauma or issues with higher education. To heal, engage with topics like psychology, culture, spirituality, and religion. Open yourself to diverse belief systems and experiences. Finding purpose is key to your healing, and accepting your past as part of your journey will help you on your path of soul-searching. By healing these areas of your life you may also help others who feel lost in life as well!
Chiron 10th house/ Capricorn:
Your wounds are around career, public image, father/fatherhood, and authority. Individuals with this placement may struggle with feelings of inadequacy or unworthiness in the professional realm, often facing challenges with authority figures or societal expectations. You may have issues stepping into a leadership role or question your ability to lead confidently. Healing comes through redefining success on one's own terms, embracing leadership roles that feel authentic, and working to build self-worth independent of external validation. By helping others through mentorship or guidance, particularly in career-related matters, Chiron in the 10th house can find a sense of purpose and healing, turning past wounds into a source of wisdom and empowerment.
Chiron 11th house/ Aquarius: Your wounds are related to social groups, friendships, and one’s sense of belonging within a larger community or collective. Individuals with this placement may feel like outsiders or struggle with feeling accepted by their peers, leading to a deep sense of alienation or unworthiness in social circles. Healing occurs through embracing one's uniqueness and finding communities that truly resonate with their authentic self. By fostering deep, meaningful connections and learning to contribute to groups in a way that honors personal values. You can heal your sense of isolation, transforming past wounds into a source of strength and empathy for others.
Chiron 12th house/ Pisces:
Your wound is related to spirituality, empathy, and the sense of oneness with the universe. Individuals with this placement may struggle with feelings of confusion, disillusionment, or a lack of boundaries, often feeling overwhelmed by the suffering of others or disconnected from their own sense of purpose. Healing comes through developing a strong spiritual practice that helps them reconnect with their inner self and a sense of divine support. Embracing their intuitive gifts and learning to establish healthy emotional boundaries are key to healing, allowing them to offer compassion without losing themselves in the process. By transforming past wounds into a deep well of empathy and creativity, Chiron in Pisces can find healing through self-acceptance and a renewed connection to the spiritual or collective whole.

Venus Opposite Pluto: There can be intense emotional power struggles in relationships. There can also be profound transformations or challenges in many of your relationships that lead to empowerment and self-mastery.
Venus Square Pluto: Associated with control, power dynamics, jealousy, and possessiveness in relationships. Needs to learn to manage their own intensity when it gets out of control or unhealthy. Or may need to learn how to listen to themselves more in relationships, follow their intuition/heart.
Venus Trine Pluto: Intense and passionate in their relationships but in a way that is magnetic, sexy, and maybe commanding. It's a great aspect for deepening intimacy and fostering meaningful growth in relationships. But those with this placement can become unchanging or controlling in their relationships too. Their attachments may usually be harmonious or loving but they can also be extremely strong.

The Decision
Taking care of my dad has been challenging but probably the most rewarding thing I've ever done. In the past year I've had to push myself beyond my limits, beyond my illness, and do everything I could to make sure my dad was comfortable as his body slowly failed him.
I hadn't driven in over a decade, but he needed to get to dialysis so I took the entire driving test like a teenager in order to get my license again. I had to move out of my cozy basement command center and upstairs into the light. I hate the light. Much too bright. Since then we have been spending almost every second of every day together. This causes us to get on each others' nerves on occasion. But most of the time we are happy to have each others' company.
My job is mostly supervision and problem solving. I watch him to make sure he doesn't fall. But if he did fall, I needed a way to get him back up. So I found an electric chair lift. I just scoot his butt on and raise him back up. If he had a medical problem, I would figure out which doctor could help him. If his feet were cold, I would find battery-powered heated slippers to keep his toes toasty. Our house is filled with little solutions I found to make him as comfortable and safe as possible.
If he needs help with anything I am always right there to assist. It's usually little things, but for him, sometimes little things can be impossible things.
I was proud to do this and I believe it brought us closer than we have ever been.
Wednesday morning the surgery team came to visit my dad and look at his foot. They told me they cannot save the foot. My dad would need a below-the-knee amputation. This would require two months of grueling, painful rehab. Then another month or two for him to adjust to a prosthetic leg. Which he may not be able to tolerate with his balance issues.
Then the lung doctor came in. He said my dad's breathing could improve, but probably not to a comfortable degree. He explained with my dad's congestive heart failure getting worse, he is probably looking at another six months to a year of life, but only if everything with the amputation goes well.
I asked the lung doctor if this was all worth it. Four months of painful recovery from amputation just to live another two months? He said a reasonable person could decide it is worth it. That some people want to squeeze every second out of life. But another reasonable person might decide that quality of life is more important than length of life.
My dad has been unhappy with his health struggles for a while now. Dialysis is just awful. He sits in a chair for four hours, three times per week, and comes home absolutely wiped out. He sleeps for two to three hours and then feels miserable the rest of the night. Sometimes he will recover from the dialysis and then it is time to get more dialysis. Sundays were his only real day of rest because he had an extra day of recovery time.
He has breathing difficulties and they are getting worse. He can't take deep breaths so his lungs keep filling with CO2. The CO2 exacerbates his delirium and confusion. He has to wear an uncomfortable BiPAP breathing mask for hours to get rid of the CO2. Once the CO2 is blown off, he switches to high flow oxygen in his nose. The CO2 builds up again... back to the BiPAP. It has become a vicious cycle.
He is constantly trying to right his balance when he walks. He has arthritis pain that never stops. And because his circulation is so bad, his extremities are always either tingling or stinging him with neuropathy pain. Those heated slippers were his only refuge.
His depression is obvious. He curses at every little inconvenience. Every dropped pill due to his hands not working. Every time he bumps into the wall with his walker. Every time he fails to stand up, having to try multiple times. Everything frustrates him.
He hates being tethered to oxygen. He feels trapped in a 50 foot radius. He constantly wishes for nothing more than to go outside and take his riding mower for a spin.
I try to entertain him with new movies and TV shows, but he has trouble concentrating on new things. Sometimes he prefers just to watch his NCIS shows that he has seen many times. That way he won't get frustrated if he falls asleep and misses the ending.
And... he lost his wife.
He has had to exist without her for a year now and he sometimes forgets she is gone. He'll call out to her and she won't respond. He'll think she is still lying next to him in bed only to discover it is the pillow supporting his back. I think when she died a part of himself died as well. He lost a huge reason to keep fighting.
And since he has been back in the hospital, his delirium and confusion have returned. He is more lucid in the mornings after sleeping. But the exhaustion from not getting enough sleep, dialysis, his foot infection and pain, the drugs, the constant in-and-out of people checking on him... it's just too much. His brain cannot function without restful sleep. So he ends up hallucinating and losing the ability to communicate.
There just does not seem to be a path forward where he could have a comfortable quality of life.
In the height of his foot pain he has exclaimed many times "I WANT TO DIE." And while I know part of that was due to his misery and frustration and pain in that moment... I think that exclamation contained his unfiltered wishes.
He was lucid Wednesday morning and we had a good conversation. He did not want to endure months of recovery and rehab. He did not want the pain of losing a leg. He did not want to fight for every breath. He did not want to lose access to clear thoughts on a regular basis. And he did not want to continue on without the love of his life.
There is this selfish part of me that wanted to convince him to keep fighting. He is my best friend. He is the greatest father I could ask for. Taking care of him this past year has given me great purpose. It has been an honor to help take care of him--as he had done for me all of my life.
Lately, he has had trouble getting into bed and covering himself up. So I have been tucking him in every night just like he did for me when I was little. First I have to arrange his pillows just right. One between his legs and one for him to hug. I put on his toasty slippers to keep his feet warm. I pull the covers up, give him a hug, tell him I love him, and say goodnight. Then I ask his Alexa speaker to play Billy Joel for him to fall asleep to. And I love doing that for him. I feel happy that we got through another day.
Whenever I am alone in our house, I miss him. I have never been in an empty house. It just feels wrong. And I'm not sure I am ready to adjust to that reality.
I want to watch another season of Cardinal's baseball with him. He loves The Mandalorian so much and I want to watch the new episodes with him. I downloaded every John Wayne movie, and even though I don't always care for those films, I like seeing him smile as he watches The Duke get into trouble.
I don't want to lose both of my parents in the span of a year.
And, well, I also don't want to lose the house. I don't want to live on my own. I don't want to worry about not having enough money to live. These are just things I can't help worrying about. And I feel guilty for worrying about myself during this time.
I have all of these reasons to want him to continue on. And I bet if I asked him to keep trying, he would do that for me. He would continue suffering and struggling for me. Because there has never been a time in his life that he would not do *anything* for his sons.
That's just who he is.
But I know I have to filter those feelings and reasons out. I know I can't ask my father to endure any more pain and misery because I fear being alone. He has always done what is best for me, and now I need to return the favor.
He has lived a long life. He had a wife that he loved. He had two sons that he raised and instilled his values in. He has a beautiful legacy that will live on in us.
He has nothing left to accomplish in this world.
He told me he wanted an out but he didn't know how to go about it. But I did. And I had to fight the urge to keep it to myself. I did not want to tell my father how to end his life. And telling him almost felt like I was personally killing him.
Thursday morning his favorite doctor is going to come speak to us. She is his kidney doctor. She is going to explain the process of stopping dialysis. With palliative care, it can be a relatively painless exit. Over a few weeks his kidneys will fail to filter out toxins. They will build up in his system. And eventually he will fade to black.
My mother had a horrible, painful, lonely death. Her final words were over a telephone because of COVID restrictions. The last time I saw her was across the ICU through a glass window.
Thankfully, my dad will be able to go out on his own terms.
He will be comfortable and surrounded by loved ones.

Short guide to composite charts First Part
A Composite chart is a useful tool in astrology for understanding the dynamics of a relationship, whether it's romantic, friendship, familial, platonic, or even fictional. It combines the energies of two individuals into a single chart, revealing how the relationship functions and potential challenges. Unlike the Synastry chart, which compares the individual planets of two people to understand their compatibility as individuals, the Composite chart focuses on the relationship as a whole.
A challenging Composite chart doesn't necessarily mean the relationship is doomed, but it does indicate potential difficulties that require awareness and effort to overcome. Ultimately, the success of any relationship, romantic or otherwise, depends on the individuals involved and their ability to work together and grow together. Remember, astrology can offer insights, but the most critical aspect of any relationship is self-awareness and the purpose it serves in your personal journey.
Composite rising (ASC): Your composite rising sign reveals how you behave as a couple when faced with challenges or new experiences. This behavior may be quite distinct from how you would handle things individually. The extent to which this feels natural or awkward depends on the alignment between your individual rising signs and your composite rising sign. In essence, the composite rising sign reflects the relationship's nature, how it started, and how you and your partner interact with the world around you. It's a key aspect of your relationship's dynamic and the initial impression you make as a couple.
Composite Midheaven (MC): This point in the chart is associated with how the relationship is projected to the outside world, offering insights into how others perceive the couple and the image they present. The sign that the Composite Midheaven falls into, along with any planets located in this house, can provide valuable clues about the couple's public image and the type of partnership they appear to have. It essentially reveals how the couple showcases their relationship to the world.
Composite Sun: symbolizes the essence of the relationship, highlighting its purpose and focal points. The Sun's position and aspects in this chart reveal what's necessary for the relationship to thrive and endure. The composite Sun sign sheds light on your shared goals and what energizes your relationship. It reflects what you're working towards as a couple, whether it's building a home, raising a family, developing a business, or simply enjoying life together. Ultimately, the composite Sun defines the primary focus of your relationship, whether it's harmony, commitment, or another shared objective.
Composite Moon: reveals your collective comfort zone as a couple and what brings emotional security and contentment. It pinpoints the activities you both turn to when seeking comfort and stability, offering a glimpse into what fosters your sense of security as partners. Additionally, it signifies the private moments and shared activities that you hold dear and keep exclusively for each other. The Composite Moon also sets the emotional tone of your relationship. It can signify whether your emotional interactions are gentle or more assertive, for example. Furthermore, it sheds light on whether the relationship leans towards emotional dependence or independence, highlighting the dynamics of emotional support within the partnership.
Composite Mercury: represents the way you both communicate and connect. It's like the bridge that brings your thoughts and feelings together. How well you communicate and the topics you usually discuss are all influenced by where Mercury is placed. Think of it as a delicate balance, like seeing both sides of a coin. When your communication flows smoothly, your relationship tends to thrive. But sometimes, you might need to work on finding that balance. The house where Mercury resides in your chart can either make communication a breeze or add some fog to your conversations. It also affects how you make important decisions together.
Composite Venus: signifies love and partnerships, be they romantic or in business. It's vital to strike a balance between giving and receiving without over compromising. The house where Venus resides in your chart is a special area where you find each other irresistibly attractive. Engaging in activities associated with this house deepens your desire for each other, and you both value it greatly. It becomes a source of joy and bonding in your relationship, making your connection even more meaningful.
Composite Mars: is your joint driving force, the energy that powers your relationship. It's vital to maintain a balanced exchange of this energy and engage in constructive assertiveness together. You both bring passion and intensity to your partnership, requiring harmonious cooperation and mutual effort. Mars' placement in your chart reveals where you assert yourselves as a couple and pursue your desires. Mars also represents your authentic, unfiltered expressions, showcasing your true selves in your interactions with each other and the world. Embrace this energy, work as a team, and let it fuel your genuine actions and expressions within your relationship and beyond.
A few cute aspects:
Sun conjunct Moon in a composite chart signifies a deep, unified connection, making you feel stronger together. However, boundaries can blur, objectivity may be challenging, and impulsivity can dominate decisions. You present as a dynamic, protective couple, but sensitivity to each other's moods can be both a strength and a weakness, potentially making it difficult to break free if needed.
Sun conjunct Venus, your relationship is built on shared pleasures, affection, and mutual interests. You both exude charm and likability as a couple. Maintaining harmony is a priority, but you may sometimes avoid addressing deeper issues to keep the peace. There could be a focus on personal desires and occasional neediness or moodiness. Overall, it's a relationship filled with fun and warmth, although challenging outer planet aspects might affect the expression of affection and comfort between you.
When the composite Moon aligns with Venus (forms a conjunction, sextile or trine), it creates a caring and comfortable connection. You naturally prioritize each other's happiness and find solace in each other during tough times. This connection fosters a loving and sensual atmosphere, encouraging a desire for a harmonious family life or a cozy home. However, be mindful that the pursuit of harmony may sometimes lead you to avoid challenging conversations and personal growth opportunities. It's a reminder to balance your desire for happiness with open communication and growth within the relationship.
Not so cute aspects:
The Sun square the Moon, your deep connection is undeniable, and initial differences can be amusing. However, as you grow closer, these differences may lead to arguments and irritations. It's crucial to avoid defensive behaviors and not undermine each other's lifestyle and opinions. This aspect highlights the need to navigate these inequalities constructively.
Venus square or opposite Mars, you'll experience intense dynamics that can fluctuate between passionate love and conflict. This intensity is characterized by impatience and a strong physical attraction, often outpacing emotional closeness. You may find yourselves engaged in power struggles, games, and at times, uncomfortable moments of tension. Hypersensitivity can easily lead to misunderstandings, despite a strong sexual connection. While the relationship is passionate, it also brings its fair share of disagreements and competitiveness. Remember that relationships with such aspects require patience, open communication, and a willingness to find balance amidst the passionate clashes.

•When faced with moments of frustration or difficulty, especially when the regressor struggles to communicate, Senshi would be endlessly patient. He might sit down beside you, waiting quietly until you're ready to interact or offer comfort. His approach would be slow and gentle, always allowing you to set the pace of their interactions

Car trip
Let's see how the car group's doing. Rip and Dylan training. Isaiah drives himself to exhaustion. Hector is just fed up.
"Can I drive now?"
"No."
"Come on, my turn."
"Nope."
"Isaiah, don't be ridiculous."
A small smile tugged at Isaiah's lips. "It's my car. My rules."
Hector growled in frustration. "Oh Jesus Christ, do you want to drive the whole fucking night or what?"
"No. Just to the hotel."
Hector threw his hands out and looked through the window. He allowed himself such displays mainly because their two other passengers were fast asleep.
As expected, Convincing Rip to come with them was a challenge. For Isaiah's sake, Seline made them all wait for another two weeks so they could start the vacation in September, after the summer season was over for most people with kids. She also planted the idea into Dylan's head so he could casually and gradually let Rip warm up to it.
Rip was adamant about staying. He hadn't come out of the apartment for two months—the first one for healing and the other for safety. Aside from the little trips to the roof of the building that he probably assumed Isaiah wouldn't notice. But the Executioner was just as aware of the shadows moving in his building as Rip likely was of him.
Rip offered that Dylan could go, that he would be fine. The pups didn't know the details about Isaiah's heart condition, just that something happened and that sea air was beneficial for healing since it relieved pressure on the lungs, which indirectly eased the strain on the heart.
They waited until Isaiah felt strong enough and some. While Isaiah appreciated everything Sel and Matt were doing to watch out for him, he was secretly relieved that they weren't in the car with him. Hector didn't fuss or notice what didn't hit him in the face and Dylan and Rip were too focused on each other.
Introducing Hector to Rip was another 'fun' part. Though Isaiah actually expected more difficulties. Rip's shadow attacked Hector right at the door. Hector grinned and fought him off, before they both snapped out of the little trance, reminded of an audience.
Dylan stood in front of Rip protectively, frowning at Hector, which actually confused the blond wolf more than Rip's reaction.
After that, it was obviously taking all of Rip's delicately rebuilt balance to not shoot out of the room or attack Hector again. Tiny black curls slick with sweat, he hang off the back of Dylan's t-shirt.
Then Hector did something even more unexpected. His shadow filled the room, blocking even the windows. After a few tense beats, Rip sank to his knees, bowing slightly, reluctantly, but also relieved of the pressure.
Hector shrugged at Isaiah's shock. "What? Shadows are never a problem when the hierarchy is clear."
Dylan puzzled Hector more. With Rip, it wasn't just his shadow attuned to him—it worked the other way around too. Rip listened to his shadow and acted on instincts honed in survival mode and on the streets. What he couldn't decide logically, he left to his shadow.
Dylan lacked any shadow instincts whatsoever. They were entirely suppressed to leave space for his human reasoning. Isaiah had seen this on wolves, done it on occasions himself, it was a useful bland in. But Dylan did it unconsciously and out of necessity to function with his human family and upbringing.
In a way it was impressive.
Shadow pups in human families tended to kill their parents on accident or go feral from the lack of training and examples to follow. While Isaiah was aware of some difficulties and temper tantrums from Seline, Dylan handled the situation rather splendidly.
Still, no shadow instincts.
Isaiah kept his eyes on the road. Driving didn't bother him, it was meditative and calming, especially this late at night and on the highway. His head kept churning up ideas how to get Dylan back in touch with his shadow.
Rip's instincts and fighting skills needed no improvement. They stopped an hour into their drive on an empty wheat field. Rip's shadow was ecstatic to be let out into the open and even more excited about fighting Hector and Isaiah one after another.
Dylan only watched in awe. Rip's speed was on par with both Wolfson brothers, even if his shadow was smaller in size and his strategies were less thought-out. The sheer skill and experience he had were on an incredibly high level. Decades-old wolves would be jealous seeing it.
"Are you sure you don't want to hand him over to me?" Hector asked jokingly. "I would put him to good use." The boys in the back were soundly asleep. They did two more training sessions after that, each one shorter but more intense than the one before. Their sleep looked like they passed out.
Which made the journey that much easier on Rip. It seemed he had no idea what to do with himself outside of fighting. The comfort Dylan brought him—looking at him, leaning closer when he talked, mirroring his pose in the car—was evident. Still, Rip felt too much under threat around the older wolves, closing his fists and digging his nails in his palms until blood welled up.
"I can pass on the offer if you want." Isaiah doubted Hector would be interested if they met under different circumstances. Hector sneered at street strays, having no sympathy for their plight and often blaming them for their situations. They edged the abyss of their shadows too closely, walking safety risks, and their unpredictability imbalanced the city.
Isaiah introducing them, though? That was a different story.
Hector watched their interactions closely, trying to figure out why Isaiah took an interest in the boy. Why he was so helpful. Not much to understand there for him, Hector didn't understand Isaiah's choice of Matthew either.
Rip was definitely interested in that as well. He kept giving Isaiah doubtful, suspicious looks when he thought the older wolf wouldn't notice.
It was all the more difficult since Isaiah had no hidden intentions or plans. His helping Rip was an impulsive decision, even if he had been designing the treatment since. The first phase of having him heal. The second phase, having him feel safe and stable. Third phase; actual sparring.
Isaiah let out a sharp breath. He had gotten used to the nausea in the last month to the point he wasn't aware of it anymore. It was just always...kind of there, tingling his jaw and the back of his throat. It rose after the first dose of meds in the morning, but if he kept his breakfast and lunch down, he was usually safe for the rest of the day.
He wasn't sure why it took a sudden spike up. His stomach wasn't hurting or twisting. It was just the nausea, having no reason or justification to be there. Which made it all the more annoying.
Taking slow careful breaths, two through his nose, two through his mouth, he looked to the side if anyone was noticing. Matthew and Sel would be all over him at that first exhale.
Hector was still fuming, frowning at the road passing behind the window. Or maybe that was just his resting expression. Isaiah was still figuring that out.
He glanced into the mirror at the backseats. Dylan and Rip were still soundly asleep, Dylan splayed out everywhere. Rip was curled up against the door, as small as possible, which didn't prevent Dylan from resting his head against Rip's arm. His legs were stretched out under Hector's seat, which no pup usually dared.
That was good. It was safe. Isaiah gulped down heavily. "Could you please hand me the water bottle?"
Hector's head snapped into focus, but he grabbed the bottle at his feet, opening it up so Isaiah could take it with one hand on the steering wheel. "What? Finally tired?"
Isaiah took a careful sip, the water refreshingly cool against his throat. The nausea got pressed down, so he drunk some more, almost half the bottle. That felt better.
Hector took the bottle back. He glanced at the navigation screen between them. "Want some coffee instead? Seriously, we can take a break. There is a resting spot and two gasolines up ahead."
"You just want to make me stop so you can sneak in behind the wheel," Isaiah said lightly. The effect of the water didn't last long. The nausea was crawling back up his throat.
"It's called being a considerate team player and all that shit. Come on, man, I'm trying here!"
"We aren't that far away anymore," Isaiah said, trying to reassure himself. The queasy feeling was sliming its way down his spine too. The cool water was sitting at the top of his stomach like a ton of bricks. God, why now all of a sudden?
Maybe it really was the exhaustion. It didn't feel like they were getting far, since they made such frequent stops, but it had been a long day. The swirling tingle was at the base of his throat now, reaching all down his chin. Go away, go away, go away.
To no avail. Sweat was starting at the back of his neck. He gripped the steering wheel harder. Was he trying to prove to himself he could do it? After the month of rest doing nothing productive, grateful for hours he didn't feel dizzy or sick or in pain...
His stomach spasmed, the force of it traveling all the way to his mouth. Suppressing the burp made the queasiness worse, a flash of blinding light in his eyes. He couldn't ignore it—in fact, he couldn't concentrate on anything else anymore.
Spotting an opening in the railing around the road, he hit the blinkers.
"Oi. What are you doing? There is nothing here."
Isaiah clenched his teeth together, suddenly wishing Matt or Sel were there. Recognizing the signs, so he wouldn't have to spell it out.
"Gonna be just a minute," Isaiah said, pushing the car door open. He had to pull himself up from his seat, stumbling away in the darkness. Hoping he wouldn't be visible or wake up the pups.
His mouth watered something terrible. Isaiah bend down, braced against his knees, the saliva dripping from his tongue. Painful seconds ticked by as the nausea rolled through him again.
The water sloshed against the walls of his stomach, happy to be the first one to leave at the call of nausea. His head was spinning. The gag still caught him by surprise. Another gag only forced out a wet burp at the end and he spit out more of the watery salty saliva onto the ground.
A large hand landed on his back. "Jeez, your stubbornness knows no bounds."
Isaiah dug his fingers into the fabric of his jeans. "S-sorry."
He could hear the eye-roll in Hector's voice. "You just had to go and hit your limit. Idiot. Should I say I told you so?"
"Not-uuurp-not necessarily..." Isaiah swayed, and then Hector's hand was in front of him, and Isaiah grabbed it to stay upright. The nausea spiked again, blood rushing in his ears.
He heaved for several long minutes until a splash of the water came up. His knees buckled, but Hector snatched the back of his shirt and pulled him upright. A steady, unmoving oak in the swaying dizziness.
"I thought your heartbeat would tip me off," Hector said, seemingly unbothered, "but it didn't pick up at all. Does it hurt?"
Isaiah heaved up another mouthful, clutching Hector's hand like a lifeline. "N-no. Just...nausous." The meds kept the pain and his pulse somewhat normal. At a price.
"Your word of the day, man. You are acting like a child." Hector got his arm around his back though and Isaiah gratefully leaned into him for support. He was too exhausted to care, his throat still bobbing.
But the gross feeling was receding and he let out a long, slow breath. "B-better now. We can go."
Hector helped him limp over to the passanger side, holding onto his elbow until he was securely sitting down.
The blond got behind the wheel with a satisfied sigh, then turned to put the seatbelt around Isaiah and pushed the buttons to recline the backrest of his seat. "Shut your eyes and mouth. I don't want to hear a word of complaint until we get there."
Isaiah chuckled to himself, somehow beyond embarrassment at Hector's matter-of-fact treatment. "Roger that."

August Month Ahead PAC
Hello, lovelies! Today I have a reading about the month to come.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Your current self Ace of Swords
You’re in the midst of a realization. Your mind is clear for the first time in a while. Your thoughts are sharp and your conscience  is clear. You’re being honest with yourself about your desires and unique challenges.
The theme of the month Queen of Swords
Put aside your usual compassion and empathy, and focus on the objective facts. This month is all about putting emotion aside and making unbiased judgements. Achieving more independence is also a large theme.
A key goal to pursue Seven of Cups
The key goal for this month is going to be to stop fantasizing and daydreaming about the life you could have. The time has come to ignore distractions and actively pursue what you want in life. You have many choices before you, even if you don’t recognize them. However, now is the time to pick one and stick with it.
An obstacle to overcome Temperance
There is something out of balance in your life, and it’s causing you stress and anxiety. You don’t currently have a long-term plan, which leads to you not having a sense of purpose. As with the other cards in this spread, there is a calling for choosing a path and sticking with it.
A major accomplishment Death
A major accomplishment this month is going to be a major change. Once you’ve chosen your path, and start moving towards your goal, things will naturally change in your life. Your life will transform. This is exactly what you need. There is also a need for you to let go of unhealthy attachments.
What to avoid Ace of Cups
As your life begins to change, it will be important not to let your nostalgia make you view this as a bad thing. As new things flow into your life, old things will flow out. This is not a bad thing. Don’t view this as a loss. This is a new beginning.
What to embrace Page of Cups
Embrace new ideas as they come to you. Embrace inspiration as it comes. This will help you to keep moving forward in your goals. Embrace also new adventures, as they will open many doors for you this month.
Where to find support The Tower
Find support in the solid foundation of your life. Change is a normal part of life, but it can be scary at times. Your old way of life is no longer useful to you, and so it is time to tear down your tower and start building a new one.
Advice and encouragement Two of Swords
Making life decisions is always scary and difficult. There is the uncertainty of the future, coupled with feeling the loss of your old way of life. However, making this choice will strike a new balance in your life. When you’re having difficulty with making this choice, be sure that you aren’t intentionally blinding yourself to the end results for fear of change.
Tumblr media
Your current self Six of Pentacles
You’ve recently been in a place of hardship, but the tides are starting to turn in your favor. The hardship is beginning to ease up. You’re beginning to feel like you can breathe again.
The theme of the month The World
The theme of this month is fulfillment. You’ve been putting in so much effort and it’s starting to pay off. You’re starting to see relief from your hardship in a big way. The world is now open to you.
A key goal to pursue Strength
This month, try to have compassion, not just for others, but for yourself. You’re resilient and strong, use that to your advantage this month. These traits are just as useful in good times as they are in bad times. Move forward knowing that you can accomplish whatever you set your mind to.
An obstacle to overcome Eight of Cups
You are transitioning from your time of hardship. You’re leaving your troubles behind. And yet, there’s a lingering fear of change. You don’t want to stay in the bad situation you were in, but it was familiar. Remember that change happens when we need it most.
A major accomplishment King of Cups
This month, you will achieve a balance between your heart and your head. Work towards acknowledging and feeling your emotions without letting them take over. Use your inner wisdom to help strike the perfect balance in your life. You know what you need. When encountering negativity, trust your judgment.
What to avoid Eight of Wands
Avoid making hasty decisions, especially ones based on emotion alone. Be patient as these changes in your life happen. Seeking to rush them along may lead to unexpected consequences. On a similar note, don’t allow yourself to lose momentum. Things will happen as they are meant to, even if you can’t see the purpose yet.
What to embrace The Devil
Embrace freedom. You are the one ultimately in control of your life. You may feel bound, but those binds are imaginary. When you’re feeling impatient or stuck this month, do something nice for yourself. A little indulgence now and then can help keep a positive mindset.
Where to find support Seven of Wands
Find support within yourself this month. Protect your energy. Stand up for your beliefs. As you transition to a better place in your life, there may be people around you who try to bring you back down. Protect yourself from this. You are so strong, you are fully capable of defending your position.
Advice and encouragement Wheel of Fortune
The tides are turning around for you. Your bad times are coming to an end, with good times coming to replace them. Enjoy this time to its fullest. You never know how long they will last. The Wheel is always turning. For the time being, luck is with you. Things will get better from here.
Tumblr media
Your current self Four of Swords
You have retreated after a time of hardship. You’re using this time to gather new strength to move forward. This is also a time of rest and reflection for you. Now is the time for a break as you work on inner healing and preparing for the next phase of your life.
The theme of the month The Hanged Man
The theme of this month is gaining a new perspective. This is not a time to rush into anything new. Rather, take the time to properly sort through your past and make amends with the things that have happened. Don’t let those things bog you down in the future.
A key goal to pursue Seven of Pentacles
This month, it’s important to put in the hard work necessary to reap the rewards you want later. Keep the satisfaction of watching your crops grow in mind. No matter the nature of the difficult period you’ve just been through, try to take something away from it. Whether it’s knowledge that you’re strong enough to overcome obstacles, or learning from a mistake.
An obstacle to overcome Ten of Cups
Your idealized image of a happy home and of comfort is broken. You feel distance where you want closeness. Your hopes for happiness fell through. You may feel separation and isolation. You may even have discord in your close connections. Work through these feelings. This is not an end for you.
A major accomplishment Ace of Pentacles
You’re entering into a new financial opportunity. Work will be required to bring this to fruition, but it’s a great opportunity. Your hard work will make sure that you’re psychologically ready to enter into this opportunity. Make sure that your mindset is right for the stability and prosperity this opportunity has the potential to bring in.
What to avoid Six of Swords
Don’t let the discomfort of this period draw you into returning to the troubled past. Likewise, don’t let the discomfort lead you to run away from your problems. Working through them now will save you trouble in the future. Don’t let yourself feel that you’re being forced to move on before you’re ready.
What to embrace The Sun
Embrace joy and warmth. As you work through the issues of the recent past, allow yourself to be comforted by happy moments. As you work through things, you will become more and more confident. Embrace this confidence, it’s well earned!
Where to find support Five of Pentacles
Find support in the positive changes in your life. You’re recovering, overcoming adversity. You’re creating a life you feel welcomed in. Your period of isolation is coming to an end. The worst is over, but you can’t expect things to change overnight.
Advice and encouragement Page of Pentacles
You have everything you need within you to turn things around. You’re ambitious and grounded. You know what you want now, and you can work towards it knowing that you’re diligent enough to see it through. Remain inspired, continue to lay the groundwork for what you want.

Another Crabs Treasure is very well my favorite souls like, and also one of my favorite games now. I would highly recommend it to anyone, even people who might be intimidated by hard games, due to its already tolerable difficulty, and plethora of accessibility options.
Tumblr media
This post will go a bit more into my review, so read if you want honest thoughts, but there will be spoilers mentioned, so here's a quick spoiler free one!
It somehow matches being very fair and challenging, with good balance, along side the ability to get absolutely busted late game if you are willing to explore and experiment. On top of being wildly fun (or fin, if you enjoy fish puns, of which this game has many), it also has an incredibly funny, touching, and important story about the damage capitalism can do to both society and the planet, and constantly reminds the player that it's important to act. And it's contextualized in an incredible story, with an endearing main character, and a phenomenal ensemble cast that is always evolving and adding to the amazing story. I would give it an earnest 9.5/10.
Now to the spoiler part, so if you don't want spoilers, don't read below this image.
Tumblr media
Ok first off, holy shit every boss in this game is so cool, and constantly shining with creativity and flair.
The bosses use every day trash as weapons, armor, buildings and more. It's amazing, and incredible unique and cool from an art design perspective, while showing a whimsical yet harrowing pseudo reality of the pollution in our ocean.
My particular favorites from a art design perspective are Roland and Heikea, with the former being an isopod dressed in a tall shoe collar as a vest, using 6 Allen Wrenches as weapons, while occasionally rolling up into a ball, to bounce around the literal pinball machine arena, and the latter being a samurai crab, who uses toothpicks and fake grass (the ones in sushi packs and stuff like that) as a loincloth, and uses a set of chopsticks, which he later breaks in too and dual wields, as a katana.
I also think this game has this ability to be... Beautifully melancholy. And also just... Beautiful. Like look at this shit, it's gorgeous.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This beauty is carried in its story, and while it is a relatively grim story, with death and betrayal, and a real sense of existential dread, it is also an incredibly funny, whimsical journey, that perfectly balances these two dissonant tones perfectly.
Like, for the penultimate boss, you are fighting Praya Dubia, what is basically a god of the ocean, and an accumulation of all the souls lost to the Gunk, the rot of this world caused by pollution and trash. Praya feels this wrath at the way the ocean is being ravenged, and the people who can fix it don't do anything to help, and the people who can't just sit idly and take advantage of the destruction instead of trying to fix it, and so she uses this rage to take over the mind and body of Chitan, one of Kril's (the hermit crab you play as) best and most reliable allies, to slay the creatures of the land, and cure the world of its infection using the Perfect Whorl, a shell that turns it's wearer into basically a god. (Praya needs Chitan's body cause she can't use the shell without, and her godly ability isnt nearly as powerful as the shell.)
Tumblr media
You battle this collection of every enraged soul, which wails and curses the Gunk and all those who allowed it to fester (especially Kril) as Chitan begs Kril to free her from Praya, who, after Chitan is freed, begins to use all of her power to kill Kril, in one last push, which kills her. It's intense, and emotional, and beautiful.
And after that amazing battle, the final boss... Is a crypto bro, bootlicking, greedy prick voiced by Michael Reeves. It's a fun twist, and it's honestly funny as hell.
Tumblr media
And also, hard. It doesn't hold back. Firth is quick, strong, and uses all the abilities you've gained throughout the story against you. It's awesome, as all the bosses are.
I love this game, and I really recommend it. It maintains a funny yet foreboding atmosphere and story, while having amazingly fun yet challenging gameplay that constantly evolves, and rewards experimentation. Oh and I forgot to mention this, but the music goes absolutely fucking wild. Like wicked shit.
9.5/10, like i said. One of my new favorites. It's only 30 bucks, and you get more than a ton of 60-70 doller triple A games would give you. And not only would you be supporting a talented, inclusive, funny indie team, you'd get an amazing experience out of it.
Pick it up if you want!

Creating consistently is one of the biggest challenges for any creative out there, not just writers. But despite so many people experiencing the same exact problem there is no universal solution. And the reason for that is simple: every person is different and the reason behind their struggles are just as diverse as humanity itself. For some it’s just difficulty keeping a habit alive, for others it’s circumstances of life and for people like me it can even just be their neuro-type.
But it’s not like there’s nothing you can do. So, here are two ideas to try to write more consistently, for both the organised and the chaotic:
Journaling +
This idea works best for those who don’t struggle too much to keep a habit alive or those who already journal or do something similar regularly anyway. Basically all you do is add a daily writing task to your routine. It can be anything like writing a short paragraph, working on character details or even just researching something. What exactly you do doesn’t matter as long as you’re doing something. But the most important thing to keep in mind is to keep the task tiny.
Once we start doing something, more often than not, much more will follow naturally. But if we make the task too big, we risk ending up dreading it. For that reason, your daily task should be something easy that can be done in no more than 5 minutes. That way you’ll get the satisfaction of doing something almost every day and don’t disappoint and demotivate yourself with piled up days of being unable to fullfill your goals.
Tiny Book
This technique works best for the more chaotic (and/or audhd) type and is the one I personally use for both writing and art. The basic idea of this technique is to simply always have something on you to catch your random bursts of inspiration throughout the day. For most people this will probably be their smartphone and maybe one of those cheap mini pens with the rubber stylus at the end. If you don’t like the notes app or just writing stuff down in a text document (or a hundred separate ones) here’s some apps that I use(d in the past):
Obsidian - very similar to a notes app, except you can link documents and build your own little Wikipedia. Including the clickable links within text and all.
Concepts - gives you an infinite canvas to take notes and draw stuff like mind maps. You’ll need a stylus for this one if you don’t want to write with your fingers. There are in app purchases but you really don’t need them and I’m using the free version with no problems too.
Campfire Blaze - (also as website) is specifically built to plan and share your writing projects. It has a lot of pre built functions to plan characters, maps, lore, magic systems etc.
Story Plotter - very similar to campfire except the focus is on structuring your story. A lot of people swear by it but I personally can’t give much more details because it just isn’t my style of program.
If you’re more of the traditional type though, get yourself a small notebook to always (and I mean always) carry around. Preferably a durable one that fits in your pocket and has a loop for a pencil. Also I recommend using a short technical pencil with an eraser at the end to avoid having to carry that and a sharpener around. Remember, we want the most comfortable quick and easy access so it doesn’t become a hassle to always have access to your materials.
On that note,
Why oh why, IKEA, did you stop making those cute but sturdy notebooks? That’s it, we’re breaking up. Søstrene Grene, you’re my new paper supply girlfriend. You may be more dainty and delicate, less sturdy than Ikea, but at least you’re there for me.
Ok but seriously, tip for the artists: søstrene grene has those teeny tiny blank books with really nice paper (easy 100+ pages) that fit into even a women’s front pocket and are perfect for quick thumbnailing. Just make sure to enforce the binging by putting some washi tape ore sum around the edges and glue it down on the backing bc they fall apart easily.
Anyway
Happy writing creating <3

no i definitely haven’t been not drawing because i’ve been playing baldurs gate…. (yes i have)
anyways here’s a long log of my tav/persona Cyris! a gueer tav w/ autism that hasn’t socialized with anyone outside of three people that they themselves have hired. being thrown into a bandwagon of complicated characters, including themselves, has been a difficult challenge. and unfortunately for them, they rolled a nat 1 for insight. (also we need more conventionally unattractive tavs bc i said so.)
if anything could describe Cyris, its the emperors words, “you are… conflicting”. they don’t seem to have any qualms with taking jobs or loot (rouge), but seem keen enough to help others as long as it benefits them (cleric), sometimes even when it doesn’t. though, it may be because they find it easier to solve other peoples problems than their own.
as a *cough cough*, person in intelligence, they’ve accidentally wormed their way into being the leader. hopefully trying to balance out the teams gold and make it back to their home city before they turn into a mindflair. though, they have a lot of difficulties with understanding why people stand on certain sides, let alone why anyone would want to spend their day taking over humanity. all they want to do is go back home to their comfy bed and grandpa withers.
most of their background involves rising out of an urchin background in order to track down the cult members of bhaal who killed their mother, taking Cyris as an unfortunate sacrifice for later use. though… it seems like something else resulted out of that. now they begrudgingly cary the title of kelemvor’s chosen, a win win for the both of them as of right now. with an odd knack for killing others- they seem to either be constantly calculating, observing the the world around them. Or- completely in control of themselves, a flitter of a laugh only worming out with a pint of ale. luckily getting to build actual relationships with other people has been getting them to open up. their story has one main lesson- let yourself succumb to the desires of others, or tell fate to suck your dick.
in conclusion- they did kill the entire goblin camp and no they did not regret it.

Blog Post 5: Building Bridges
Hello everyone,
This blog post considers the difficulties/challenges and/or progress that you have made on your project so far:
Tumblr media
I typed the assignment instructions, hoping it would motivate me to find the words to say... The last two weeks have been challenging as I have struggled to find the proper balance between:
Home
School
Work
My business
My semester project
My plate is FULL!
Tumblr media
The only progress I made this week was researching the deadline for the RESET workshops, which is necessary to start an organization.
I face several obstacles in my life, including challenges related to my difficulties with maintaining social energy, and, most importantly, struggles with managing my time effectively. On numerous occasions, I have found myself unintentionally falling asleep while attempting to concentrate on reading materials. Although my mind is fatigued, I have a solid resolve to push through and complete what I started.
Tumblr media
I intend to email my classmates soon to broaden my search for five classmates interested in a virtual writing club. It has come to my attention that one of my classmates has expressed interest in a virtual writing club. All it takes is three more classmates to express interest, and we can make it happen.
I'm trying to break free from my introverted/anti-social shell.
Tumblr media
Until next time!
Peace and Blessings!!

The Martyr Mode Update is here!
The Martyr Update for Death of a Wish is here! This colossal new update adds a massive new challenge mode that adds even greater replayability and challenge to this subversive action-RPG!
Tumblr media
To celebrate, we are discounting the game to its lowest-ever price as the Steam Daily Deal for September 19th! Save 25% on all editions of Death of a Wish!
There's a lot to cover in this update, so let's dive right in.
ABOUT MARTYR MODE
Martyr Mode is our version of an ultra-challenging, endgame mode with randomization, customization, and scoreboards. In it, players build a deck of Challenge Cards in order to apply challenging new rules to their Death of a Wish run in exchange for score multipliers.
Tumblr media
In Martyr Mode, the cumulative score of each mandatory encounter is recorded and factored into your final score at the end of each run. Bonus points are rewarded for completing optional objectives and taking on Challenge Cards.
The start of each track will present players with three Challenge Cards to pick from. Challenge Cards introduce new rule modifiers that mix up combat and increase difficulty. These include rules such as:
Comeback - Upon recovering from a status effect, enemy attacks are 100% more powerful for 10 seconds.
Break Invuln (ii) - Enemy invulnerable after recovering from Break for 4 seconds
Lost Grace (ii) - Reduces non-S Rank Corruption reduction by 75%.
Each Challenge Card will introduce more challenging rules, but grant greater score bonuses during a run. Challenge Cards will stack cumulatively over the course of a player’s entire run, so it is critical to make deliberate decisions about which cards to add to your deck and when. Escalating the risk can provide great rewards, but only if you can survive to complete them.
Tumblr media
There are 40 challenge cards in all, and an infinite range of ways to mix and match them creatively to tune a run for a high score. How will you rise to the challenge?
BALANCES & FIXES
This update brings with it some balances and changes to further aid the Death of a Wish combat experience, including:
Reduced health of late-game bosses.
Slightly easier BREAKs on tankier bosses.
Reduced the penalty to health essence recovery on higher Punishment difficulties.
Increased the wind-up time on most enemy gunfire attacks.
Decreased the hitbox size of all enemy gunfire projectiles.
[Randomizer] Decreased the prevalence of miniboss and story boss summons in True Randomizer mode.
NEW LANGUAGES ARE COMING

Elden Ring just beat me...and it's a bummer because I REALLY wanted to like this game. It has all the ingredients to make up a killer game. An open world with crazy art direction. Plenty of challenging options to keep you playing. But what went wrong? Why do I hate this game so much? I'm getting angry just trying to think about it, so let's try to make this quick...
In a nutshell: The setting seems to involve a fantasy setting where you are a fallen soldier. Getting involved in a brief skirmish with a giant spider demon. Then waking up in some sort of medeval hellish landscape with giant gold trees? There seems to be a detailed backstory written by George RR Martin (Game of Thrones). Although I wouldn't know because I'm too busy getting gangraped by skeleton warriors every step of the way to take notice. It's a "souls" game. So these games are annoying by design. But the broken game mechanics and tedious grinding make this game unplayable. Let me break it down like this...
The Good: The graphics are visually stunning, let's be honest. The environments and character designs are insane! Every enemy you encounter is menacing and emit pure nightmare fuel. Which is exciting to say the least. Elden Ring offers one of the best character creators in modern gaming. You can get really detailed adjusting the most minor facial features. Multiple character disciplines that greatly affect your gameplay experience. Diverse skin and body types. You can be really creative, which I adore! And then you put on some in-game armor that covers up the details you spent hours building. Cool! But let's appreciate the good elements because there's a whole lot of bad. Where do I begin...
The Bad: My first attempt playing this, I noticed these glowing rocks scattered around the floor. Apparently they were messages from other players across the Playstation network. Messages like "hidden treasure behind boulder" was pretty neat and helpful. But then you see more and more of these glowing messages. With a lot of not-so-useful messages like "is this dog?" and "finger in ur but". But what crossed the line was "boss up ahead" and you know what? There was a fucking boss ahead! What kind of troll shit allows spoilers mid-game? Can you imagine playing Resident Evil. Right before opening the door of that iconic dog chase scene, you read a community message saying "bow wow ahead lol" Like, way to ruin the immersion asshole! At that moment, I hated the game and pretty much gave up. But after discovering you can disable online messages, I tried it again. Which made a huge difference. I was starting to enjoy the game at first. But once you leave that cave, it was a pure shitshow from there. But let's start with the name "Elden Ring". This would imply upon a grandiose adventure involving a magical ring of some sort. But I would have appreciated it more if they were honest and called the game "YOU DIED" Because that's pretty much what you experience throughout the entire game. Every enemy you encounter was a pain in the ass with little relief in between. Please don't misunderstand, I'm not complaining about the challenge level. I appreciate a good challenging game. I hate to compare, but you have hard ass games like Cuphead, Doom Eternal and Battle Toads that are fantastic, despite their difficulty. There's a balance to their difficulty. Plus their controls are tight and responsive. But when you have to try and maneuver through shitty mechanics, you're not playing a fair game. I recall one instance where I was running around a stone wall to avoid an enemy. But I can't explain why the enemy's spear could clip through this stone wall for a one-shot kill? And what good is perfecting the timing of a defensive parry if a giant boss can just one-hit stomp you like a cockroach? And you get paid in turds so the risk/reward balance is off. I'd rather work a sweatshop, hand-sewing Lulu Lemon leggings than to grind hours for one stamina point. At least you'll get paid at the sweatshop. But if you play Elden Ring long enough, and memorize the patterns and "git gud" you'll eventually beat one of the bosses and get a weapon you can't use, because your charisma stats or whatever is too low. LOL! This game blows.
Overall: Video Games are supposed to be fun. But Elden Ring was a burden to get through. It felt like work after a while. Like an abusive unpaid intership in hell. You can hire a dominatrix if you enjoy the abuse. It won't take up as much of your time and it's better support for your local economy. LOL! Fuck Elden Ring.
(Edited: Just remembered more things I hated about this game, but adjusted the score to something more reasonable. This game is obviously not shit and had me hooked for a while. It just wasn't fun for me. Plus it's not cool to shit on a particular fanbase. Play whatever you want. Don't let my opinion take a shit on your cereal. This is just a place to vent since it would be super weird to scream about Elden Ring out in the real world, with real life problems. But the game still sucks in my point of view so whatever. LOL!)
