what if the reason fyodor wants abilities eliminated is bcz he's genuinely fucking despises being unable to die [he's supposed to mirror or think like dazai so him being sucidal (either bcz he's had enough of life or never liked it or met someone who he did care about like oda to dazai only to watch them too perish while he lived on or bcz like dazai he initally found it meaningless and unlike dazai he never had someone to show him differently) would make sense] and he's seen so much evil happen that he blames on the existence of abilities and now how people use/abuse abilities and ability users.

so if he eliminates abilities he'll be able to get rid of what he thinks is an great source of evil.

he'll also finally be able to be done with the pain of living again and again (while everyone else doesn't).

and that way even if dazai or the ada somehow kill him at least he's achieved part of his goal (eliminate all abilities/their users including him)

that would also mean if dazai decided to kill him and also died in the process it would count as a double suicide since both are suicidal, which also sorta maybe makes fyozai canonish.

Numerous hands on Fyodor's coat

In BSD Ch 115, we get this official art of Fyodor. There is Fukuzawa and Fukuchi to the side, but Fyodor is the focus and interestingly his coat encompasses numerous hands.

Some hands on the coat look like they are praying, others are clasped together as if they are scheming, some others look like they are fighting for dominance or struggling to get out.

The hands only appear on Fyodor's coat, which when we look back on it is not actually "his" coat, but Bram's coat.

Whenever Fyodor subsumes his killer, that killer is absorbed and all that's left of the killer physically are their clothes, which Fyodor wears.

But clothes are not the only things left, it seems their strong desires/wishes are also left in Fyodor's memories.

Like Bram's vow to protect Aya has now been absorbed by Fyodor and he atleast 'seems' intent on fulfilling the vow.

So, over the course of centuries, Fyodor absorbed many people and their wishes/vows/desires.

My hypothesis is that the hands on Fyodor's coat represent all the wishes/desires Fyodor absorbed, and those desires are fighting for dominance, wanting their wishes to be fulfilled.

The reason they are represented on the coat is because their clothes are the only thing symbolically/physically left behind of them.

Tl;dr the hands on Fyodor's coat are the wishes/desires he absorbed from other people and those desires are fighting for control in his mind.
