I love her. She's an Eldritch Knight and Volstrucker Agent. Her campaign will start with her essentially doing a jailbreak :)

Hi! hope you are having a great day! I was just idly curious about what Bluegrass & Hound are saying on page 4 of ch 1108? I've seen her line vary wildly and am wondering if Hound is asking if the Buster Call will be called off or if he is suggesting they call it off.

also now that you've read 1109 what is Saturn saying on the final page panel 2? Is “summoning” an accurate term?

hey!! yeah, for sure. so bluegrass is talking about how destroying the pacifistas still incurs a loss for the marines, since they're government property. the first thing she says is 張り切れないんだよ/harikirenainda yo, which is like ��i/we can’t get too overeager/enthusiastic,” and then 倒しても損失/taoshitemo sonshitsu which like is “even if we take them down, it’s a loss (for us).”

hound is wondering it's possible for the buster call to be stopped/interrupted (once it's started) (the word he uses is 中止/chuushi, 'stoppage' or 'calling off') even though such an action would be 'unheard of/unprecedented' (前代未聞/zendaimimon). so his line is like "could it be possible to put a stop to the buster call? it would be historically unprecedented, but...!"

to me, it reads like he's musing on the possibility (as a result of the unprecedented resistance being put up by the strawhats+vegapunk and company), not actually suggesting or recommending it.

and then for 1109 (i waited to answer this until the official came out, but i still haven't been able to find clean raw scans), saturn's line on the last spread is very simply 呼ぶぞ/yobu zo.

yobu is the verb 'to call,' and then zo is a particle that adds emphasis. with sentences like this in japanese the subject and object are only implied by context, so most directly it would be "(i'm) calling (you/it/etc)", with both the "i" and "you" being implied rather than explicit in the sentence. 'summoning' is indeed also a valid translation.

In chapter 302 in the SBS Oda answered a question related to Smoker's bike, so he has planned a story for Smoker and his bike at least since Alabasta or even since Loguetown.

Now, Smoker has recently appeared in chapter 1117 with his bike again since Alabasta which means that "someday" might be near to happen. Hope it's not 5 years since the last chapter he appeared, jk.

The thing is, Smoker was dragging a create on his way to the general hospital and it might probably be related to the story that Oda had planned back then.

thats the end of chapter 2! i will be taking a longer hiatus to accommodate my health and the fact that art fight is next month. the comic will be returning in august. though i'd like to open a character qna in the meantime. I mean you’re not wrong haha. I swore by 4 being my max number for so long but then the shelter said all of Merrill’s prospective homes fell through and I had to scratch that number.

I’m not 100% decided on what I’m going to do going forward. Right now my group is actually very manageable. Duncan is really the only one with specialized care. I actually want to get a kitten / young cat. Which sounds crazy but I think Artie would really appreciate having a friend to play with. I still wouldn’t get a normal kitten bc I just can’t bring myself to do that. But I think I’d really like a CH cat. (NOT another “CH kitten” that turns out to have a storage disease)

On the other hand while I do have two old ladies I don’t have any really sick seniors. So like realistically I should take in another hospice senior because it’s the right thing to do. I have 3-4 years left before I start taking college courses, at which time I’ll have to not take in any more pets because I’ll be too busy. So like I should probably do as many hospice cases as I can before then, right?

Also I might just be reasonable and NOT get another cat 🤷🏻‍♀️

General fandom consensus seemed to be that the Five Elders questioned the Marines' Absolute Justice judging by their reactions to the nuking of Lulusia but were trapped by Imu and the system. This seems to confirm that they have just as much of a god complex as any other Celestial Dragon. Shame, I liked the idea of morally grey Five Elders.

So about episode 1128 of One Piece

I've noticed that Doberman is getting more screentime compared to the manga. And I'm not complaining about it. Even better, we got to see who was saying some phrases that came from the ships in the manga.

Some are fillers but hey, it's good to see a better reaction of every marine in this situation.

At first I though it was someone else who communicated about St. Saturn landing on the island not Doberman but it makes sense since Doberman and Kizaru where the only marines to know about his presence in a certain ship as seen in chapter 1089.

As a little wonder, in chapter 1095 Doberman appears along with the other Vice Admirals in Egghead, episode 1128 occurs one chapter before that. I wonder what type of filler will the anime come up to to justify his presences here. (They'll probably remove him from these scene like they did with Sanji in earlier episodes, that will be my guess).

Note edit: Oh well, it seems this time they added a coherent scene in episode 1129.
