Merlin 1.04 The Poisoned Chalice

There was a brief moment...fleeting, but still there, where Sandra had a bit of a flail. She wasn't used to be the one in front. The one saving the day with the final play. That she usually left to someone like Aimee. Or Roberto. Still...she quickly got control of herself and concentrated her ability on Juggernaut. On entering his mind and working to put him to sleep.

As she did that, Jess appeared beside Warpath, hands out. "May I?" Because twisting that helmet into something unrecognizable would seriously brighten her day.

Once Juggernaut was on the floor, Belle began recalling the vines...placing the fern to its original state.

Roberto split off and assisted Belle with distracting the behemoth as well, shooting an array of fireballs at him. Fireproof, what a cheater. "Keep him busy!"

All this gave James the perfect opportunity to swoop in for the final play. If this didn't work, then they wouldn't get through this. It had to. He planted his feet on the nearby wall and kicked off with all his might, cracking it in the process. James flew right towards him and gripped his helmet by the holes on his face and began pulling up with all his might. They didn't have time for doing it the proper way.

"Oh come on, what is this thing dead bolted to his body or what?"he grunted. Now he began pulling really hard, flying and going vertical as he did so. After a moment or two, finally it started to give way, and it popped off. Out of anger and annoyance, Warpath struck him in the head with it. "Now Sandra!" he called to her. "Hit his mind and put him to sleep!!"

While everyone could be a bit...touchy...from time to time (teenage hormones plus mutant powers lead to some pretty volatime moments), it actually was pretty rare for Jessica to be in a mood. And yet, today, she seemed to be in the mother of all moods. Apparent as she slammed into the kitchen looking for ice cream. “If Guthrie touched my Rocky Road...”

From her place at the table, Alyssa got up, glancing over at Biron. “Looks like someone had a fight with Worthington...” She didn’t bother to add in the ‘again’. Jess and Warren’s on-off again status had become something of a known entity. Seems this week was an off week. With a ‘good luck’ she departed the kitchen, off to find someone else to spread the gossip too. 

Claiming her (thankfully untouched) ice cream from the freezer, the brunette went to grab a bowl before looking over a Biron. “Want some?” Now that there was guaranteed chocolate in her future, she was beginning the return to ‘rational Jess’.

THE SPIDER-WOMAN && THE SHROUD .

(** Fair warning, this is a bit of a long post due to pictures**) To start off, the way they first encounter each other is just so perfect ⸺ Max just flat out VULCAN NERVE PINCHES her while she's at her receptionist job. And the fact it works. It's Spider-Woman's weakness and that's simply just hilarious to me.

Then after meeting each other properly ( he breaks into her house while she's in the shower ), he stays the night on her couch. In the morning, she wakes up to find him cooking her some breakfast. . . 🥺🥺

After a hellish battle with Morgan Le Fay, he and the rest of the present Avengers are able to help save Jessica Drew's life. And there he is. . . Holding Her Hand. . .

Below is unfortunately the last time they are seen together for a looong time ( fkin 1984 to 2023 !! 😭 ). And it's just so damn adorable.

Her powers are gone at this time, they start to come back at a later date. Yet still such confidence in her !! Love him !!
