"Oxeye Daisy" Printable PDF

Here it is! A physical copy of @cgogs amazing c!dnf series "Dreamer's Memoir", "Oxeye Daisy", and "epilogue." It's taken a lot of time and effort to put this together so I hope you guys enjoy :) And thank you so much to @cgogs for letting me bring this story to life and for writing such a lovely fic series <3 The files included will be a 409 page PDF containing all three fics (which have been lightly spellchecked & grammar edited), a summary of all three fics, a table of contents, some decorative graphics, and a separate PDF of a Penguin Classics style book cover (both for Paperback & Hardcover). They're all sized for an 8.5" x 5.5" (Digest Size) book.

Below I've attached printing instructions and the needed files to print your own book. To be clear, I am not selling this book and any price you pay will be strictly printing and shipping costs. These files are for personal use only and if I find anyone selling copies/files I will take them down <_< so behave. Now go have fun and enjoy your own copy! (And if anyone catches any spelling errors that I've missed, feel free to message me so I can fix them & reupload the document :D) INSTRUCTIONS:

Create an account on lulu.com

Go to the home page and click on Create > Print Books > Start My Print Book

On the Start My Project page select Print Book for both the Product Type & Select a Goal. For Book Details put whatever you'd like & click Design Project

Upload the interior file PDF (ignore the transparency warning)

For Book Specifications I recommend Black & White Standard > 60# Cream > Paperback or Hardcover (depending on your budget/preference) > Matte

For Book Cover Design, upload the respective Cover PDF (Hardcover or Paperback) > Click Review > Publish

Once published, you can add the book to your cart and buy it :)

Actually I lied I don't have any willpower at all and I'm going to be angry about cGeorge again. "Your charm is like plastic wrap. Its thin, and because its see-through, it doesn't cover up what a jerk you are"

cGeorge's character is incredibly passive, and yes, Im very aware its because ccG didn't do a lot of lore, and that we don't know how much of his sleeping problems were him or Magic Induced Bullshit. It doesn't change what we have. What we have is someone who is bitter, who didn't get what he wanted and who's story consists of him sleeping and being depressed and angry about it.

If XD is responsible for his Sleep Problems, it once again becomes yet another thing about Dream Needing To Save Him. George has no goddamn agency in his own narrative. He doesn't do things, he reacts. He thinks about Dream. He continues to not do things. This is somehow Dream's fault. Why can't George save himself. Why can't George do things on his own. Why does cGeorge have to be an extension of cDream when he has cSapnap and cKarl and cTina. What is cGeorge as a person outside of cDream.

Personal opinion. His focus on Dream is only charming if you like cdnf. I don't.

ccGeorge and cGeorge are not the same person, but because we have so little of cGeorge, a lot of ccGeorge is made to be cGeorge. HD isn't even a real character, but the entire fandom made him up and gave him and George a bunch of lore. Its caused this thing where cGeorge and cdnf are given a lot of extra weight based on ccContent. ccDream ships it, so it just makes the pressure Worse.

cGeorge is just. kind of a dick? I mean all the characters are dicks in some way, so this isn't really a fair criticism, but the constant pressure to think /pos about him because He's Just So Important To Dream just makes all the things I don't like about him feel starker. He fake cried, he made a scene, he essentially ruined his supposed dearest love's reputation because he was Mad. So Cute So Quirky. Why the fuck am I supposed to like this guy.

What Does He Even Give cDream. cDream would move mountains for George. George demands it. Cool. I want George to do it for Dream.

cGeorge and cdnf is a lot easier for me to write or read if it comes with the context that Dream's love and affection is a privilege, not a right. There are so many interpretations that act like cDream should bend and lean to his whims, because cGeorge deserves it. Its awful. Its so many shades of awful. Its so uncomfortable. Affection and love isn't something owed to him.

cGeorge thinking he owns Dream and his affection would be cute except its often treated. Unironically.

Seriously if a lifelong friendship and deep love is destroyed by a crown and an argument, what kind of fuckery were they on. they were doomed from the very start if all it took was George not getting his way

cdnf is not ccdnf. Oh my god its just not. Im shaking the fanfics. You can't just put their dynamic in place of what we're given.

its just. aaaaaaaa he's plastic wrap but his cc is pretty and ccDream ships it so suddenly all the massive flaws and problems are erased

I don’t really understand /why/ c!george split of from c!Dream. Sorry this isn’t really a hot take more like my own failure to understand sources. Was c!George just being silly?? Did he want c!Dream to prioritize him before c!Dream’s own goals?? What was that even about??

im just gonna go ahead and @cgogs ... c!dream was a veryveryvery paranoid person and they were having a conversation in front of an audience and it was kind of bound to blow up i fear ...

i dont know if you answer any coparent au asks anymore but i literally just now read through the entire tag and am Going Insane. words cannot describe the demons that are Taking over my brain right now. (the c!awesamdreamons, if you will…)

so im curious, does briar ever date anyone as a teenager/young adult? i imagine that with parents as… toxic and fucked up as dream and sam, that his perception of romantic relationships is Also really fucked up! especially during/after the contract and marriage eras. granted im sure hes been to other people’s houses whose parents are fairly normal, relatively speaking, but hes seen one of the Worst relationships in existence, and been around it ever since he was eight years old. if he ever does take up dating, does he ever fear his partner will hurt him? (…does he ever fear he’ll hurt his partner?)

@cgogs yes... there is a girl in high school, in the year before Sam comes back. Her name is Tiffany. She's a breath of normal air. She likes cats. They like to roughhouse. She found him a support group. When Sam returns, he runs off to crash with her for a bit.

His relationship to relationships is a bit strange, because it actually took him a long time to realize that Dream and Sam had interactions besides captive and captor. He was young and they hid it, and it was very different then. It's only when he gets a bit older and gets some context that he's able to work it out. And then Sam comes back, of course.

His relationship with her doesn't survive much longer. Briar is nineteen and he knows true hate, and there's no space for something more.

Consciously, he doesn't quite fear the idea of his partner hurting him: he's building himself into someone who cannot be hurt. What he fears is the emotional subjugation of leashing himself to someone else, the way it can sicken and weaken. Like he saw it do to his mother.
