“Daddy! Daddy! Daddy!” You chanted running towards mattheo. He smiled before effortlessly picking you up. He hoisted you onto his hip as you tried to wiggle out of his grip.

He peppered kisses on your face before letting you down. “Why’s she so energetic today?” Mattheo asked watching you run around in circles.

“Gave her a bit too much candy” Theodore chuckled. “Cmon love it’s time to go home” Blaise called out to you. You ran towards him hugging his waist since he was so tall. He held your hand as you all began walking back home.

“You better hope she calms down Theodore, her nap is in an hour” Draco said. “Doubt it. remember the time Pansy gave her 5 pumpkin pasties and she didn’t calm down until 2 hours later?” Mattheo added causing them all to chuckle.

“No baf! No baf!” You chanted giggling loudly. Theodore sighed chasing you around the room once again. Mattheo chuckled at your antics while Draco was making you another bottle.

“What do we do she won’t calm down” mattheo asked Draco who was sitting right next to him. “I’ll go make her another bottle” Draco sighed getting up from the bed. He grabbed his coat from the rack before going down to the common room.

5 minutes later, he came back with another bottle. But, this time it was different. He laced the bottle with a sleeping enhancement. When he was down in the common room he ran into Adrian. “Hey Draco, how’s tiny?” Adrian asked giving Draco a handshake.

“She’s good a bit hyper right now, how you doing?” Draco asked with a slight chuckle. Everyone knew you were a little, during the year they all developed a nickname for you. Tiny was the name, and you loved it.

“Good. Hey theirs a slytherin party next Saturday since we won the championship if you wanna come” Adrian suggested. “Alright I’ll ask the boys but I’ll see you tomorrow for quidditch practice” “later” Adrian said walking back to his girlfriend.

You shook your head with a giggle trying to squirm out of Blaise’s grip. “Settle down love” Blaise said holding on to your waist tighter. “Nooo! Wanna pway!” You whined. “I don’t know what to do Draco, she’s still hyper and it’s been an hour and a half” Theodore said worriedly.

“She needs a nap Theo, we just need to give her something to help her sleep” Blaise said matter of factly. “Draco just give her the bottle you have” mattheo said not moving his eyes off his book.

“Here bunny, drink this and we’ll give you more candy ” Draco said handing you the bottle. You grabbed the bottle and drank it slower and slower as the charm started to work on you.

You let out a tiny yawn before snuggling into Blaise’s chest. They all let out a sigh of relief. Not another minute after, you were fast asleep.

Cg!Draco x little!reader

y/n woke up in her private dorm feeling little and happy. She throws the blankets off her walking over to her closet, grabbing her black and blue robes. Humming a song while she gets dressed she thinks of seeing her daddy in the great hall for breakfast, speeding up her usual morning routine before leaving her dorm. The common room only had a couple students in there, she assumes the rest of the ravenclaw house is either still sleeping or already at breakfast. 

On her way to the great hall y/n was smiling ear to ear excited to see draco. When she gets closer she can hear everyone, and starts skipping to get there faster. Once there she looks over at the slytherin table trying to find the head of white hair that she knows so well. When she spots him, she grins before skipping over to the slytherin table causing every other table to look at her. y/n is a sweet ravenclaw why is she going over to that table? They think. 

When she walks up behind Draco she could hear all the confused whispers and feel the stares in the back of her head but she couldn't care less as she wrapped her arms around Draco´s shoulders feeling him tense up before realizing who was hugging him. “Hello my love” he says turning to look at her, she kisses his cheek “good morning” she says happily while sitting down next to him biting her lip, looking at the food with wide eyes.

Draco leans towards her and whispers in her ear  “are you little right now baby?”  watching as she grabs some porridge before looking at him. She nods at him slowly while taking a bite of her food. Draco smiles and puts his arm around her waist pulling her closer to him. He looks around the great hall to see almost everyone staring at them, before turning back to y/n “you know everyones staring at us right little one?” he says quietly to her causing her to look around and shrug “i don't care. I'm wifh  you daddy i'm safe” she says quietly even though there's nobody sitting near them like always, there both still cautions not wanting people to know stuff about their lives. 

When Draco hears that leave her mouth he can't help the huge smile that spreads across his face. The thought that she trusts Draco enough to let him be her caregiver and now knowing that she feels safe when she's with him, like nothing can hurt her is just the best thing ever to him. 

While he was lost in his thoughts y/n held up her spoon with some of the porridge on it. “Try dis daddy its really good” she says poking his lips with the spoon until he opens his mouth. He hums and tells her it's the best thing he's ever eaten.  She goes back to eating while draco just stares at her with nothing but love in his eyes, kissing her temple he says “i love you sweet girl”  she looks up at him smiling “i love you too daddy” she says going to kiss his cheek but he stops her causing her to pout “let me wipe your face baby you have porridge all over your face” he says laughing a little. 

Once he's done wiping her face, he taps his cheek and she kisses him instantly before going back to eating.

you know what "redemption arc character" i actually dont like, that i never see anyone complain about?

hunter from the owl house. not because him being redeemed is somehow "undeserved" or rushed or any of the other things people tend to complain about with redemption arcs - but because he feels very basic and by-the-numbers. unlike amity, it doesn't feel like there was any heart put in.

amity is someone who represents - among the show's many unsubtle digs at harry potter - what the author wanted draco malfoy to be. someone who is from a haughty family and somewhat of a bully, but learns she'd be happier embracing the love and acceptance of the protagonist. she rejects the typical one-note-ness that is usually afforded to the more typically feminine, school bully "cheerleader" archetype who is contrasted to the protagonist "girl-next-door", "one of the guys" female lead as written by male authors. the show is clearly passionate about defying that and making amity almost a fellow protagonist.

amitys written with love - its not the most mindblowing character ever, but shes compelling enough. she has a troubled family life but thats not all she is, she can also be genuinely mean herself, as well as a huge dork in realizing her repressed queerness attraction to luz.

...and hunter is just a less interesting version of the standard "redemption character" tropes. it doesnt feel like there's anything the authors wanted to say about this kind of character, it just felt like a character who was put in because its expected. you need an underling whos unhappy, abused or beaten down by the main villain who still wants to earn their love while only posing a moderate threat to the protagonists, because thats what post-AtlA cartoons do. there needs to be a "zuko" to root for, because fandoms like those.

of course, i'm not saying thats inherently a bad thing. peridot from SU is kind of this, although i think her be so surly and logic-driven and less zuko than an invader zim pastiche, sets her apart. the misundertanding between her and yellow diamond stems not from abuse, but from peridot not understanding the emotional trauma the earth has for the diamonds. thats compelling to me.

peridot still wanting to reason with yellow as she becomes a crystal gem ally, shows continuity of her priorities and personality. her motivations are "from the same mind" she always had. she stays with logical perspective, to the point where she briefly looks down on the crystal gems for not doing so, and then ends up looking down on her own diamond for not being perfectly logical, either. that introduces interesting complexities. as does the continued struggle of becoming a CG zealot who wants to feel heroic and good but ends up de-prioritizing herself in her interactions with lapis.

with hunter... i don't really see any complexities to hook me? i know the fandom thinks he may be some kind of clone, but i don't see any interesting directions the show could take that rn. if the point is just that he's a good person despite being cloned, thats not really an arc or relatable in the real world. its not like clone-phobia is applicable to most of our lives. he just seems like your standard lackey woobie who needs love.

one quote that i forget the source of is that its not just about what you think is well-written or not - its about whats interesting. and the more by-the-numbers standardized tropes your characters feel like, the less interesting they tend to be to me as a viewer. i'm not going to say hunter is "objectively" badly written because i dont like that kind of thinking, and i know the fandom likes him... but i do feel comfortable calling him boring. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

ซีรีส์แม่มดที่ให้ฟิลลิ่งแบบ Harry Potter ทั้งปราสาท การขี่ไม้กวาด วิชาต่าง ๆ ที่สอนในห้องเรียน ยูนิฟอร์มที่ใส่ แต่ทางเนื้อเรื่องจะออกไปท่าน่ารักใส ๆ เบาสมองมากกว่า (จริง ๆ ก็แอบมีดราม่าเล็ก ๆ แทรกไว้ซะด้วย) และยังแฝงข้อคิดเอาไว้ในทุก ๆ ตอนที่ได้ดู ที่สำคัญคือวิทยาลัยแค็กเกิลเป็นวิทยาลัยหญิงล้วน รีวิว The Worst Witch

เรื่องย่อ

ซีรีส์สร้างมาจากหนังสือของ Jill Murphy เล่าถึงเรื่องราวชีวิตในโรงเรียนของมิลเดร็ด ฮับเบิล แม่มดที่แย่ที่สุดที่โรงเรียนแม่มดของมิสแค็กเกิล ชีวิตในโรงเรียนของเธอนั้นห่างไกลจากคำว่าเงียบสงบ ทั้งต้องคอยรับมือกับอีเทล ฮาโลว์คู่อริ การจ้องจับผิดของมิสฮาร์ดบรูม

ไหนจะต้องระวังไม่ให้ถูกสาบเป็นคางคก เป็นนก เป็นหนู ทั้งที่แค่ระวังไม่ให้หม้อปรุงยาระเบิดก็แทบแย่แล้ว ถึงแม้ความโก๊ะของเธอก็ทำให้ใครต่อใครต้องปวดเศียรเวียนเกล้า แต่จิตใจที่งดงามของเธอก็ช่วยให้เรื่องร้าย ๆ ผ่านไปได้ด้วยดีเสมอ

ทาง Netflix Thailand มีการโพสต์ข้อความลงบน Twitter เกี่ยวกับการมาถึงของ Harry Potter บน Netflix ที่เหมือนทิ้งบอมบ์ให้คนทั้งประเทศฉงนใจ และอยากรู้ว่ามันจะมาลงใน Netflix จริงๆ หรือไม่ ส่วนตัวผมก็เป็นหนึ่งในคนที่ตื่นเต้นกับข่าวนี้มากๆ เลยครับ

ด้วยความที่เป็นสาวกของทั้งหนังสือและภาพยนตร์เรื่องนี้อย่างเหนียวแน่นมาตั้งแต่เด็กๆ แต่สำหรับใครที่รอไม่ไหวที่จะได้รับชมภาพยนตร์ที่ได้ชื่อว่าเป็น Icon แห่งยุคเรื่องนี้ละก็ วันนี้ผมมีซีรีส์แนะนำอีกหนึ่งเรื่อง ที่ให้กลิ่นอายของความเป็น Harry Potter แบบสมบูรณ์มากๆ ครับ

ไม่ต้องแปลกใจว่าฟังแล้วทำไมมันช่างละม้ายคล้ายแฮร์รี่ พอตเตอร์ จังนะ นั่นเพราะเจ.เค.เองก็โตมากับหนังสือชุดนี้ (ไม่มีเด็กหญิงชาวอังกฤษคนไหนไม่อ่านเวิร์สวิทซ์หรอก) เลยได้รับอิทธิพลไปเต็มๆ

(ซึ่งหนังสือแนวนี้ก็ได้รับอิทธิพลมาจาก อีนิด ไบล์ตันอีกที) หนำซ้ำเคท ดูเชนน์ที่เล่นเป็นมิสฮาร์ดบรูมก็เคยได้รับข้อเสนอให้เล่นเป็นศจ.มักกอนนากัล แต่เธอปฏิเสธเพราะอยากจะให้เกียรติบทมิสฮาร์ดบรูมที่ทำให้เธอมีชื่อเสียง

เนื้อเรื่อง

สำหรับ The Worst Witch เป็นซีรีส์อังกฤษที่สร้างจากหนังสือความยาว 8 เล่มโดยนักเขียนอย่าง Jill Murphy พูดถึง Mildred Hubble เด็กสาวธรรมดาๆ ที่วันหนึ่งเธอเกิดมองเห็นแม่มด กำลังขี่ไม้กวาดบินไปยังสถานที่บางอย่าง

แม่มดคนนั้นคือ Maud Spellbody แม่มดเนิร์ดที่กำลังจะเดินทางไปเข้าเรียนที่โรงเรียนเวทย์มนต์ในวันแรก แต่แล้วไม้กวาดของเธอกลับไม่เป็นไปอย่างที่เธอต้องการ และตกลงตรงหน้าอพาร์ทเมนต์ของ Mildred ทำให้เธอได้รู้จักแม่มด และท้ายที่สุด เธอก็ได้เข้าไปเรียนในโรงเรียนเวทย์มนต์ Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches

เป็นต้นแบบ Harry Potter ?

ด้วยความที่ตัวหนังสือเองออกวางจำหน่ายมาตั้งแต่ปี 1974 (Harry Potter เล่มแรกวางจำหน่ายในปี 1997) และดังเป็นพลุแตกจนถึงปัจจุบัน (เล่มล่าสุดวางจำหน่ายเมื่อปี 2018) เนื้อเรื่องภายในหนังสือและหนังนั้น พูดถึง การใช้ชีวิตในโรงเรียนเวทย์มนต์แบบเดียวกับที่ Hogwarts ของ J.K. Rowling ทำ

ทำให้ผมอดนำสองเรื่องดูหนังออนไลน์นี้มาเปรียบเทียบไม่ได้ การที่ตัวละครเอกมีลักษณะโดดเด่นที่คล้ายกัน แม้ว่าใน Harry Potter ภาคหลังๆ นั้น เรื่องราวจะซีเรียสกว่ามาก แต่ผมได้กลิ่นอายของ Harry Potter ภาคแรกและภาคสอง ตลอดการรับชมทั้งสามซีซั่นเลยทีเดียว

ตัวละครอย่าง Mildred นั้น ถูกกังขาโดยคนทั่วโลกผู้วิเศษว่า เป็นแม่มดที่แย่ที่สุด ขณะที่ Harry ก็ถูกนิยามว่าเป็นเด็กชายผู้รอดชีวิต ตัวละคร Maud ที่เหมือนกับ Hermione Granger เด็กสาวที่เก่งฉลาดที่สุดในชั้นและเป็นเพื่อนสนิทของ Harry หรือ Enid Nightshade ที่เป็นเด็กสาวจอมซนไม่เอาไหน

คล้าย Ron Weasley รวมถึง Mr. Cackles ที่ออกมาพิมพ์เดียวกับ Albus Dumbledore และตัวละครที่มีส่วนผสมของ ศาสตราจารย์ Mcgonagall และ ศาสตราจารย์ Snape อย่าง Miss Hardbroom นั้น น่าจะเป็นส่วนที่ชัดเจนที่สุดของการนำ Character มาใช้แบบเดียวกับ Harry Potter

ไม่น่าเบื่ออย่างที่คิด

ตอนที่ไถช่อง Netflix ไปเรื่อยๆ นั้น ผมไม่ได้คาดหวังจะดูด้วยซ้ำ ด้วยความที่ลักษณะของซีรีส์น่าจะเป็นซีรีส์เด็กๆ บวกกับความเป็นซีรีส์อังกฤษที่อาจทำให้ผมหลับตั้งแต่เปิด Intro เรื่องก็เป็นได้ แต่ตัวละครหลักอย่าง Mildred นี่แหละ ที่ชี้ชวนให้ผมเข้ามารับชม

เพราะเธอก็คือ แม่หมีสุดเดือดอันโด่งดังจาก Game Of Thrones อย่าง Bella Ramsey นั่นเอง การแสดงใน Game Of Thrones อันตราตรึงใจในฐานะแม่ทัพเด็กที่เข้าร่วมสงครามและต่อสู้กับยักษ์อย่างห้าวหาญนั้น ทำให้ผมอยากรู้ว่า การพลิกผันจากแฟนตาซี Epic แบบนั้นมาเป็นซีรีส์เด็กจะเป็นอย่างไร

เพียงตอนแรกเว็บดูหนังก็ทำให้ผมหลงรักตัวละคร Mildred ได้ง่ายๆ ผ่านการแสดงของเธอนี่เอง ตัวละครอื่นๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็น เพื่อนสนิททั้งสองของเธออย่าง Maud และ Enid ก็ทำหน้าที่ของตัวเองได้เป็นอย่างดี

ขณะที่คู๋ปรับอย่าง Ethel Hallow คู่ปรับสาวผมบลอนด์ ที่ดูยังไงก็คือ Draco Malfoy ก็ทำหน้าที่เป็นสาวมั่นที่พร้อมจะแดกดัน Mildred อยู่ทุกเมื่อเชื���อวันอย่างน่าหมั่นไส้ และน่าเห็นใจในเวลาเดียวกัน การดำเนินเรื่องนั้นไม่ได้ซับซ้อนซ่อนเงื่อนอะไรเลย อย่างที่บอกไปตั้งแต่ต้นครับ

ด้วยความเป็นซีรีส์ที่มี Target เป็นเด็กเป็นหลัก ถ้าจะให้เปรียบเทียบก็คงอารมณ์แบบ ซีรีส์ทางช่อง Disney Channel ครับ แต่มีงาน Production ที่ดีงาม การแสดงและตัวละครที่มีเสน่ห์ดึงดูดให้ดูอยู่ทุกตอน

เกือบลืมพูดถึงภาพในเรื่อง เห็นแบบนี่แต่ภาพสวยใช้ได้เลย โทนสีภาพเห็นแล้วจะนึกถึงฟิลเตอร์ที่มีเวทมนตร์ตลอดเลย CG ในเรื่องก็ไม่แย่นะ ดูแล้วไม่ได้รู้สึกขัดใจอะไร และด้วยความที่เป็นซีรีส์ที่ดำเนินเรื่องแบบเป็นตอน ๆ มันเลยทำให้เราได้คิดตามเนื้อเรื่องตลอด ตอนไหนที่ดูแล้วเราเนื้อเรื่องถูกก่อนแบบเรื่องเป็นแบบที่เราคิดเอาไว้เลย เนี่ย เป็นความภูมิใจเล็ก ๆ ระหว่างที่ดูอะไรสักอย่าง

โดยรวม

พูดได้เต็มปากว่า ถ้าคุณคิดถึงการนั่งดู Harry Potter ไม่ว่าคุณจะอายุเท่าไหร่ก็ตาม ซีรีส์เรื่องนี้ก็เหมาะกับการนั่งดูในวันว่างที่คุณรู้สึกเบื่อๆ อย่างแน่นอนครับ Production ดี การแสดงดี ตัวละครดี เนื้อเรื่องกระชับฉับไว และไม่น่าเบื่ออย่างที่คิดเลยครับ

ใครที่คิดว่าอดรนทนไม่ไหวที่จะรอให้ Harry Potter มันมาลงใน Netflix สักที เรื่องนี้น่าจะทำให้คุณหายคิดถึงไปได้บ้าง แล้วเผลอๆ อาจจะได้มีซีรีส์ที่จะทำให้คุณกลายเป็นสาวกเพิ่มอีกเรื่องหนึ่งด้วยละครับ

All Harry Potter wants is to get away from the Dursleys and go back to Hogwarts School for Witchcraft and Wizardry. But just as he’s packing his bags, Harry receives a warning from a strange, impish creature named Dobby – who says that if Harry Potter returns to Hogwarts, disaster will strike.

Chamber of Secrets Audiobook by Stephen Fry:

Stephen Fry makes the characters even more vivid. His voice for Hagrid is low, gruff and gentle, just what you would expect. Hermione sounds incredibly precocious and annoying but gradually becomes less so as the book progresses. The story wraps you in a warm cloak of positive feelings, happiness and a sense of belonging. Having Fry read such a lovely story to you makes it all the more comforting and enjoyable. Even though Harry Potter is J K Rowlings first book and her prose may be flawed in places, (particularly in the beginning describing life with the Dursleys) Harry Potter is undoubtedly a classic made even more magical by Stephen Fry. I highly recommend this audiobook for all ages.

Chamber of Secrets Audiobook by Jim Dale:

Jim Dale is another fantastic narrator. Born in England, Dale also has an English accent. Dale is a voice artist, and definitely weighted towards to the dramatized end of the scale. Dale invites a sense of urgency in his voice, and has you on your toes. This increased dramatization, although predominantly great, I feel it is sometimes a little over the top.

Dale is magician in character range; he created 134 voices for the Harry Potter series. This series has given Dale more awards than any narrator previous. His prestige, and breadth of bestseller coverage is rather astonishing.

Movie

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets movie

Overall, Chamber Of Secrets’ high points are funnier, scarier and more action-heavy than in the first movie. The effects also look more polished – no dodgy centaurs this time – and Dobby the house elf is an expressive little creation, even if he does induce that CG-inflicted disease, ‘jarjaritis’, during an early scene with Harry.

On his second and probably final Potter flick, director Chris Columbus shows more visual confidence, and has become more daring with his swooping computer-assisted camera shots across landscapes and locations. But the film’s length does remain a stumbling block – you could adapt War And Peace in a shorter running time – so perhaps only the most attentive children will remain spellbound for its entirety.

Why should you listen to Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Audiobook free?

This has always been my favourite Harry Potter audiobook of the series (closely followed by the Goblet of Fire Audiobook). I love a good mystery and the Chamber of Secrets Audiobook was my first real introduction to this genre. I really loved the sequence of events that led Harry and Ron finally figuring out the secret of Salazaar Slytherin. The final chapters are just so intense because of this.

Also, apart from the Goblet of Fire, this is probably the scariest audiobook in the series. Bearing in mind I was five when I listened to it- every time Stephen Fry did the scary disembodied voice Harry kept hearing, I actually fast forwarded the tape or turned the volume down because it scared me so much. I’ve since gotten over that, but it’s still downright creepy. The magic in this book certainly takes a darker turn and we start to learn a lot more about Hogwarts, Voldemort and Harry himself.

If you haven’t read the books ( or have seen the movie and want a bit more insight into the mystery) then Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets Audiobook free is a thoroughly enjoyable mystery, with a fair bit of Quidditch thrown in.
