Fitness Career Guide for Beginner - Fitness Industry
Why fitness careers is the best decisions?
Yes, Fitness is among the best career option available in the world, if you possess the required skills. Skills are extremely important not only in the fitness industry but in every sector you want to work.
You need to earn that skillset!!
You need to be a certified fitness coach who knows the science of our beautiful human body and every aspect of nutrition.
Moreover, you are also required to possess the skills to implement the existing skills in a more efficient manner.
Importance of fitness certification
See, if you get yourself certified fitness and nutrition expert then it increases your knowledge and most importantly skills. Now, since you are certified and possess the required skills, it will make your name better recognized in the fitness industry.
See, if you want to be a chartered accountant or doctor, you are required to study that specific field and you know that then the same thing is applicable to the fitness industry as well.
Just think, you are going to a doctor who doesn't possess MBBS or they lack the required skills, how dangerous it would be!! Similarly, an educated or literate person will look for the trainer who is expert and possess that required extraordinary skills.
So, if you want you to shine then you must work on your knowledge and skills.
What are the certification available in the fitness industry?
There are plenty of certification available in the fitness industry. But what suits you best is solely depends upon you according to your individual goals and aspirations.
But here, I'll only be stating the most important one.
The certification are:
Certified Personal Trainer Course
Certified Nutrition Specialist Course
Certified Fitness Trainer Course
Functional Training Specialist Course
Do not try to get all the certification at a time. First, start with the most basic that is CPT and then do all the rest certification as per your individual ease of convenience and requirements.
How to select an Institution or Academy for the fitness certifications?
Well, we have plenty of choices available!!
So, sometimes it gets difficult to choose the best.
I strongly believe that every institution or academy is best as long as it fulfills your individual requirements and which is pocket friendly.
But we have some parameters to select the best academies.
And they are as follows;
Academy should be internationally recognized.
Institutions should be well known to most of the peoples of your locality.
Academy should be providing the utmost quality of knowledge both practical and theoretical.
Faculty should be of the utmost quality of knowledge as they are the ones who will be delivering you the knowledge.
Also, do check whether the academy is promoted by various highly reputed government bodies like skill India, NSDC, etc, especially if you are doing it from India.
Who can be the respected fitness coach?
Even if you are certified, you might lack respect as a fitness coach. Getting respect is a whole new different process.
Respect is to be earned with true determination!!
If you deliver your knowledge with extreme humble and politeness to the one who truly wants it from you and he/she is longing it for. The respect for you in everyone's eyes will ultimately raise.
Anyone can be the fitness coach but not a respected fitness coach!!
Do works with morale ethics, earn the goodwill, and make your name a brand. A brand which is known for its honesty and quality works.
Some trainers indulge themselves in some of the highly unethical works only for the sake of some money like they sell anabolic steroids, performance-enhancing drugs to their clients especially to youths. Thus, these kinds of trainers mislead many youths.
So, don't get yourself in any of those unethical activities because a respected fitness coach doesn't do so.
Why does a fitness coach needs to study Anatomy, Kinesiology, Physiology, and many more?
Fitness coach needs to study anatomy because if they don't study anatomy, they'll probably never know our human body. So, if they don't know then just think about it how dangerous it would be for the clients who are training under them.
They are required to study standard anatomical positions, planes, anatomical directions to rectify the exercises in a more efficient manner.
They need to study kinesiology to analyze the movement of body and plan exercises according to that, we study physiology to understand the functions of individual parts or systems of our human body.
To be an advanced fitness coach, you need to know many more such crucial stuffs. There are plenty of new things you will learn when you get yourself certified.
Classic Fitness Academy Top Recommendations - Fitness Academy
Why consistent learning is Important?
Consistent learning is extremely important. We can also say, consistent learning is the key to success.
See, we always update our mobile applications when it is outdated similarly we are also required to update ourselves to the latest studies or research.
No matter in which sector you work, you need to get yourself updated in order to be a master of your work. Thus, to be advanced fitness you also need to update yourself through reading official research articles, highly knowledgeable books, and many more such productive stuffs.
So, if you aren't updating yourself then you are giving your competitor a chance to move a step forward.
Do you love to train and transform others?
See, you need to be extremely clear how passionately you love to train and transform others. If you aren't loving the process passionately then you need to look for some other work or profession. You can't grow if you don't love every process of your work.
Self-identification importance
Self-identification is extremely important before doing the work which you might be saying dream work but I have seen many individuals saying their job to be boring which they used to say their dream job before getting it. This only happens if you don't identify yourself before jumping into the work and many people miss this self-identification process.
See, if you start working and if it gets boring to you later then your efficiency will suffer badly. Thus, resulting in poor growth.
So, it is always better to do self identification before!!
For self-identification, you can ask two questions to yourself that;
Even if I am in my worst scenario of life, will this work provide me some sort of relief ?
Is it only a work that makes me feel like that I don't need a vacation from ?
But I would suggest everyone needs to take some break from their daily work so that they can also enjoy the other aspects of life along with the work which feels amazing.
And if your answer is "YES" to both of the above-mentioned questions then you are on the right path!!
Why some of the trainers always suffer financially?
Unfortunately, some of the trainers always suffer financially. They suffer financially as they lack quality skillset and sound behavioral patterns.
In some of the cases, these trainers don't want to get themselves educated even if they are provided with opportunity due to their stubborn nature which is of no use.
This kind of attitude leads them to everlasting financial crisis.
Importance of communication skills as a fitness coach?
Communication skill is what which is neglected the most. You are required to learn and acquire effective communication skills. If you lack effective communication skills, you cannot make maximum benefits out of the given opportunity, you will also lose a lot of potential clients as well.
See, effective communication is the wonderful art that makes you more appealing and approaching in a more efficient manner. Effective communication is all about understanding the human psychology. If you know it, you win the game!!
So, start reading various books that teach us the art of effective communication and gain mastery in it. Your marketing strategies are solely dependent upon how effectively you convey your knowledge or message to your clients.
So, start working on that as well without delaying.
Effective communication with clients is extremely important for your health professional career development.
How to communicate with clients?
Effective Communication with clients is extremely important as it shows your knowledge and skills to your respective clients. Just take an example, there are two trainers training their clients. Both the clients are performing bicep curls and both aren't controlling their eccentric movement.
Then a trainer who doesn't have certification will say or instruct his client to "control the weight when coming down" whereas a well educated and professional trainer will instruct by saying, "Please control your eccentric load".
Now, when that certified trainer used the professional term which is most commonly known as "Gym terminology". It just sounds more professional. Now, the client will get more interested to know more about such words and terms, and ultimately it will make you more approachable and respectful.
Unlike any other profession have its own word and terms, fitness also have it.
So, if you know all those skills and gym, bodybuilding terminology, and also know to convey your message effectively, it gets your work more Professionalism. Thus, your clients will not think of leaving your personal training ever.
What should be your planning if you are 15 to 20 years old?
If you are between 15 to 20 years old then it is the most appropriate time if you are looking to build your career in the fitness industry.
Start knowing the basics of fitness like exercise techniques, learn from your trainers if they are certified and skilled enough, or else you can take a pretty good amount of quality knowledge from internet, start reading various bodybuilding and entrepreneurship books.
How you can make exponential growth in terms of money and every aspect of quality life as a fitness coach?
If you implement practically all the above-mentioned points with extreme discipline then I am pretty sure that you won't struggle in a fitness career.
Make your knowledge and standards of top-notch quality so that you can charge your service fees as you want. If you do so, people will pay you what you ask as you'll be providing quality services that are difficult to find anywhere.

hello!
I’m thinking of starting a therapy place/shelter, mainly for queer youth, and I was wondering how to help possibly accustom my Pokémon to use as therapy mon? I raised most of them up from youth, and they’re quite friendly, but have been mostly used in battling (which is where I got the money for this) and I’m worried they might react adversely to other trainers and their companions. The main three I’d be using for this would be my Luxray Nimbus, who was the first I ever caught, and my Leafeon and Sylveon (shiny), Morel and Rory.
sorry for the long ask hehe
unfortunately, i think you'd have a really hard time doing this with your former battling pokemon. for liability's sake it's highly recommended that you certify therapy pokemon with an agency. and, for better or for worse, most of these agencies will not certify pokemon who are battle-trained. the general thinking is that a pokemon that has frequently battled, regardless of how friendly it is, is more likely to respond with aggression in unfamiliar situations. if one of your pokemon were to harm a client, you could be faced with charges.
there are, of course, some organizations that disagree with this line of thinking and will happily certify any pokemon that passes its tests; you'd have to look around to see if any such organization exists in your region. of all of those pokemon, your luxray would probably be the toughest to certify due to both general species temperament and typing. still, if you're concerned at all about the way any of them would react to clients, i personally think it's better to err on the side of caution and not use them as therapy pokemon without undergoing a full behavioral training course and assessment.
make sure that you also look into laws and recommendations surrounding accessibility and pokemon-free spaces. as a private establishment, you'd likely have control over whether or not you allow clients to have pokemon in your facilities. but many health providers and shelters do require clients' pokemon to be balled or boxed while they're inside to prevent things like unexpected battles. there's a lot of debate about whether allowing client pokemon in homeless shelters is a safety concern versus whether the mental/emotional effect of requiring vulnerable people to set their pokemon aside is demeaning/damaging. that's a choice you'll have to make for yourself, but i do think it's an important consideration.

Food for thought: The SPR team is pretty eclectic as far as supernatural solutions go. They've got religious figures, people with psychic abilities, researchers. Any ghost they come across, they're pretty much set.
But forget supernatural causes for the hauntings a moment and go back to the first case where it was just a creaky building sinking into the earth. That can't be the only time that ever happened, so now I'm imagining the whole team has an interesting medley of random certifications and educational backgrounds just to make up for the various natural explanations they encounter.
Old pipework leaking water into the ground could also cause a building to sink. Maybe the soil the house was built on is just terrible at draining moisture. There could be a lot of reasons a house is sinking.
I'm imagining someone on Naru's payroll is a certified building inspector. (That takes roughly two semesters.)
Scratching noises and knocking sounds? Could be small animals or other pests, so someone also has a pest control certification? (Three months course.)
They have a lot of electrical equipment that could be a potential hazard. Somebody on the team could be a fire safety officer.
With the advent of the internet ('cause Ghost Hunt takes place in the 90s?) becoming more popular, someone on the team is now the IT person.
All of them probably have CPR and BLS training. Ayako probably just decided to become a certified trainer just to cut out the middle man. Right in the middle of an investigation, she just pulls out the dummy and workbooks and says, "All right, Mai and John get over here. Both of you are due to renew your CPR training."
Yasu probably went to law school just so he could be the company's attorney when the situation arose. (Also, great fallback plan. He would be the most aggravating lawyer ever.)
...
Just saying, if Mai or Yasu are moving on from the ghost hunting scene, they don't even need to put paranormal researcher on their resume.
"Miss, can you tell us why you have so many unrelated certifications on your CV?"
"...I had an...interesting career in my teens and twenties."

Hi, I was informed about the velvet subspecies weedle, and I was wondering what you could tell me about them
Mothim ( @mothimwoman )
Hey, yeah for sure.
You can read a ton about them here, and see some pictures of what these guys might look like once they're all grown up. But the Corky-certified summary is that they're a species of beedrill that don't form hives or swarm the way Kantonian beedrill do. They're a burrowing species, and typically live in smaller family units with a mom and a few baby weedle. Makes em way better suited to living with a trainer, since they're way calmer than normal beedrill and don't have quite the same social needs as a swarming bug-type. Kantonian beedrill really suffer from that mob-mentality. These guys are just chilling.
They've also got a pretty solid reputation in the battling world. Once fully evolved, Velvet Beedrill are quite fast and agile, so the line is pretty sought after for trainers. These guys will need a lil bit of training of course, but as of this morning they're both showing signs of potentially evolving somewhat soon. Here's a handy little comparison between the Katonian and Velvet species;
I see you've already got quite a few bug types on your team, seems like you'd have no problem caring for these guys. They're diet is going to be a little different than what your team eats, but not a ton. I'm guessing your the person Maya was planning to send my way?

Pokemon League Foundation's Certified Starter Pokemon
Here in this world, there is a wide range of available starter Pokémon that may not be considered in the main series videogames. Of course, no one is beholden to the below list, as this is simply the PLF's list of suggested starters, and in practice many municipalities, breeders, parents, and cultures have their own notions of what is and is not acceptable to give to a new trainer. And trainers may find their first Pokémon by their own means.
With that said, here are some guidelines to consider when establishing your municipality’s starter Pokémon:
They must be able to evolve across all genders. This means Pokémon that can only evolve if they are female (Combee, Salandit) do not make suitable starter Pokémon.
They must be appropriate to the surrounding environment. Example: Littens are not acceptable starter Pokémon in the United States, but they are in India, Siberia, East Asia, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific Islands. Conversely, a city such as Oshkosh, WI, which is famous for its airshows and wind turbines surrounded by farmland as well as being along the Fox River, would have starters such as Squirtle, Ducklett, Hoppip, Electrike, and Mareep.
They must be temperamentally and biologically safe for even a 10-year-old. While many trainers acquire their first Pokémon at older and younger ages than that, the Pokémon League Foundation insists that 10 years old is a good beginner age.
Exceptions exist: Pokémon that are a part of 3-stage evolutionary lines are allowed to have temperamental and finicky personalities and needs in the final stage (such as Charizard) since the trainer will inevitably be of an older, more appropriate age, to handle these needs.
To this end, almost all ghost-types are considered unsuitable for beginner trainers.
Pokémon must also have species-wide behavioral patterns that are appropriate for a 10-year-old. To this end, Pokémon like Purrloin and Nickit are seen as unsuitable starter Pokémon because of their proclivities toward theft.
Pokémon with extreme needs somewhere in its evolutionary line, such as Munchlax & Snorlax, are considered unsuitable starter Pokémon.
The Pokémon must have an established domesticated stock in captivity with needs that are achievable to even poor newbie trainers.
Because of this requirement, only two dragon-types are approved starter Pokémon: Applin and Noibat. Dragons are rare, temperamental, finicky, and downright dangerous creatures in almost all circumstances. While there are other dragons, such as Goomy, that may be suitable, they do not have suitably domesticated stock in captivity nor are their specific biological needs achievable to the average low-income new trainer.
While traditional videogame starters are truly excellent choices, consider utilizing less conventional starters such as Poliwag, Ralts, or Eevee, since these Pokémon have split evolutions that allow for a greater variety of fully-evolved starters amongst the local trainers.
There must always be at least 3 starter Pokémon available, but no more than 7. Locations that are so large that they feel that they can justify more than 7 starter Pokémon should consider sub-dividing into sub-regions. For example, New York City is home to millions of people; rather than have a uniform 7 starters for the entire city, consider separate groupings for Brooklyn, Bronx, Manhattan, Queens, and so forth.
Starter Pokémon are available from every Pokémon Center. They are acquired through partnership with Certified Breeders in the area. Anyone who is at least 10 years old may go to any Pokémon Center of choice and seek an available starter Pokémon. Everyone is granted 1 government-issued (Pokémon Center) starter Pokémon, no matter what stage in their Pokémon journey that they’re in.
Mechanics: Pokémon Center Issued Starter Pokémon always have at least 70% domesticity and at least 70% handleability. Roll a d30 (or a d10 and a d20) to determine the specifics. They are free of most poor health defects, for starter Pokémon Breeders are tasked with breeding healthy & amicable individuals rather than ones that meet the breed standard. Because of this, the individual breed standard is anywhere from 1-100. Roll accordingly.

💐 once you receive this lovely bouquet of flowers you have to mention five things you love, publicly, and send it to 10 of your favorite followers if you want. SPREAD POSITIVITY! ⛅️🥩💜
Why is there a random steak emoji 💀 Okay but seriously.
1. @survivingandenduring of course!! Grateful to call you a friend 💜
2. Animals! I’ve been an animal nerd as long as I can remember. My favorites are dogs and reptiles (specifically snakes, yeah yeah, get over it). I’ve had pretty much every kind of pet you can think of and before my health got to be too bad I was actually a Certified Professional Dog Trainer but those days are long behind me now although I do miss it on occasion.
3. This fandom. As corny as it sounds and as dramatic as it can be at times (always really lol), I’ve made some incredible friends by being here, and that’s what matters more than anything to me. I was so sad and lonely before joining the Pedro Pascal fandom, a shell of a person really, and now I have more friends than I know what to do with! Love all of you sm 💜
4. Coffee. My blood type is coffee, gimme gimme gimme. Starbucks > everyone else. I’m drinking coffee right now and when you’re chatting to me I’m probably drinking it then too. COFFEE.
5. Spooky shit. If there’s a destination I’m traveling to, I’m looking up creepy shit I can do there like ghost tours and cemeteries. Ghosts, zombies, vampires, werewolves, demons, possessions, serial killers, aliens, cryptids, unexplained phenomena, mysterious and unexplained deaths, scary movies etc are my cup of tea. I actually have a bucket list of spooky destinations I’d love to visit, and yes it even includes the Clown Motel in Tonopah, NV. So if you ever vacation with me just be aware of this fact and we’ll get along fine 💅

Last night at about 8p.m., I passed my test to be a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Association of Sports Medicine. Cliché bored housewives, sex starved coeds, aging movie stars, naiads, and rainbow-spewing unicorns everywhere in the Bay Area suddenly felt the need to have brief but torrid affairs with me (but, alas, I will be strong and resist for professionalism's sake). I've been working on that one for a year (and a year of hell), putting writing on the back burner. We've got a lot of new stuff I'm going to be writing about now. Stay tuned not just for writing about WRITING, but also writing about: My journey as a certified personal trainer Writing about Health and Fitness (generally) Writing about Running (my posts specifically about running and running goals) Election stuff Polyamory (Ethical Nonmonogamy) The Morrigan and Pagan Priesthood Buy Me Lunch Answers [My deep dive into identity intersections and what labels (and going beyond labels) means to me] Reviewish [My always behind the curve reviews of media—some of it woefully outdated] And old favorites like: Social Justice Bard Personal Updates And of course Writing About Writing
