Cersei is an interesting character and I'd like to know what were Cersei's thoughts on the Targaryens, i think she admired their dynasty because they were powerful. And she loved Rhaegar if i remember well

Cersei had a crush on Rhaegar even since Tywin informed that he wanted to betroth her to the crown prince when she was a little girl. The fact that she was infatuated with Rhaegar even before she met him shows that her crush had less to do with his good looks and more with his status; and the status she would gain as his bride.

With that being said, she did liked Rhaegar's looks and that's why on AFFC she favors Aurore Waters who resembles the late prince. And she wore Rhaegar's (Targaryen) colors at her mourning dress which was iconic of her, lol.

Aside from Rhaegar, she doesn't think often about the rest of Targaryen family. She believes that Targaryen dynasty produced both good and bad kings, which is a common opinion in Westeros.

I personally find tcest - at a lack for better words - off putting.

As far as I’m aware, inscest is looked down upon or with high concern most places, and it’s no different where I’m from. As part of my studies, I’ve been taught to view inscest in a home, as a sign that something is very wrong. So to me, the thought of tcest rings alarm bells.

With that being said, I know tcest is popular among some people, and I highly doubt that it’s going to change anytime soon.

I know that in recent years, incest have been used as plot points in many stories. Take George R. R. Martin’s A Song Of Ice And Fire, where we learn that the Targaryens often indulgent in such activities, as well Jamie and Cersei Lanister. What it does for the characters and the plot is something on it’s own, but A Song Of Ice And Fire does not shy away from making people’s toes curl in discomfort, in order to tell thrilling story.

It’s not a secret at this point, that I personally feel uncomfortable with tcest, but I don’t believe my viewpoint is going to change the internet. We are talking about fictional mutant turtles, and it can always be argued how related they actually are, so I’m not going to tell people want is right and what is wrong - only what my own viewpoint is, and give my best explanation as to why.

I feel uncomfortable with tcest and will not write anything with it, but that does not mean that I’m going to drag someone else through the mud, just because they do. It’s not a crime, and I rather not be a purist. That would be the most hypocritical for a person, who literally writes tmnt smut.

I’m not sure what to say about tcesters. They are humans with differing opinion than mine. There’s already so many other people out in the world who has differing opinions from me, so why should they be any different? They are probably very nice people who read, write and draw some things at times, that I just don’t do myself. I can wonder as to the reason why, but I rather not. If I do I might burden myself or someone else with something that doesn’t really matter too much, in the larger scope of things. I much rather want to let people be in peace and not get involved myself. In the end, does anybody really hurt because some people on the internet find tcest interesting? I don’t think so. It’s just not for me.

If you haven’t seen it already, I suggest you hop over to this post to learn a little more about the basics of Prudence’s story. But since you asked (I’m not squealing like a teenage girl rn), here’s a little more about her!

Note that I usually age canon characters up because obvious reasons that are very important for my sanity.

I’m a sucker for personality typing so as I’m currently theorising for Robb, I must say this whole thing started with Prudence lol. She is an ISFJ 6w5-4w3-9w8 (SP/SX). Girlie is the triple doubting Tritype, “the Seeker” and I feel like that says a lot about her character tbh.

Uhm when she was very small, she wanted to be a maester because of her interest in the histories and politics. She spent a lot of time around any maester she could always asking them a lot of questions - which she continues to do albeit a bit more subtly compared to her childhood. When she was younger she made the mistake of telling her Septa that she wanted to be a maester and she got laughed into next week, and was banned from reading books that weren’t approved by her Septa for a time so she would give up on her silly dream.

She’s roughly book Theon’s age.

Prudence is sent to Winterfell some time around 288-290 AC

Being a Lannister and all, and having been heavily influenced by Cersei’s demeanour and worldview in her childhood, she initially carries herself with a sort of arrogance that feels really jarring to see in the North. It fuels many whispers about her especially because she comes across as very aloof but it’s also very much a defence mechanism for her due to her experiences in King’s Landing during the later years of the Mad King’s rule. That being said, while she does at times still carry herself with that arrogance, she becomes more approachable and outwardly friendly with people after spending a couple of years in the North.

She’s always super composed and acts really proper but she also has a hidden rebellious streak and has strong opinions about things, even though she isn’t very quick to voice them. (It’s one of the reasons why her and Arya get along. That, and Prudence envies the freedom Arya has and as such feels like she has to nurture it and help her figure out how to wield it without ever having to fully sacrifice it.)

Prudence very much tries to keep Arya out of trouble, and part of that involves her keeping Arya’s secrets. Like the times she decides to perform acrobatics in the Godswood and scrapes her elbows and knees, or when she might’ve raced with Nymeria only to trip over a tree root or when she’s stumbled into thorny bushes or fallen off climbing to find a different archery angle: Prudence is usually the one who patches her up in secret, knowing she won’t go to maester Luwin because he might tell her mother about her escapades.

Prudence is secretly a whole savage. Given the fact that she’s spent about half of her life in Winterfell, she does eventually let that fact slip, particularly with people she’s fond of. She’s got a sharp and dry sense of humour, something that heavily shapes her early dynamic with Robb. Let’s not kid ourselves, neither of them loved the other during their childhood. But when one is betrothed from a very early age and forced to interact with their promised at every given moment… well they were definitely friends, and there was at times a friendly rivalry between them, especially in the early years of their interactions. She has a habit of being quite blunt and getting to the point when she speaks with him, though it is rarely offensive and often lighthearted. Moments when she might show her savagery include: talking back at Septa Mordane but in a way that doesn’t sound openly defiant and rather is subtly mocking for her own satisfaction, chastising Arya for her recklessness (affectionately), criticising Robb in any way (usually either teasing or genuinely trying to be constructive but keeping it lighthearted. This is her favourite hobby, and it’s simultaneously what strengthens and weakens their relationship throughout various stages of their story).

The biggest factor in her character arc is the fact that she ends up assuming the position of a valuable strategist in Robb’s war effort. Her insider knowledge on the Lannisters is invaluable to the war so she attempts to advise where she can, though this is of course met with a huge amount of suspicion from the vassals because of her Lannister ties, and her counsel is not always heeded as a result. The external criticism of her true identity is a very difficult position to be in as both sides seem to think she is a traitor in some caliber.

Another thing that comes up post Whispering Wood (I’m actually currently working on a Jaime POV scene related to this point) is Prudence’s internal conflict. She’s given her whole life up to then to serve Lannister goals and ambitions, but the connections she has made with the Stark family make things incredibly difficult to remain true to the life she always expected for herself. She spends a lot of time battling between choosing what’s expected of her and choosing what she thinks is right, all the while trying to keep the struggle to herself.

“Where is Oberyn?” Cersei demanded of her twin brother Jaime, “He was supposed to be back in the guest quarters hours ago.”

Author’s Note: As I was coming up a with an idea for the day 14 prompt I realized it would go well with the idea I had for the alternative prompt so I combined them and am pretty happy with how it turned out

“I believe he went drinking in the local taverns.” The one handed Lanister explained.

“Please bring him back, we can not have any of the wedding guests out of the keep this late,” the Queen reagent explained to her twin.

Jaime found himself searching every tavern in King’s Landing looking for the Dornish price.

Oberyn was not in the first few taverns he went to but the staff had described seeing the prince earlier.

Jaime finally reached a tavern farthest from King’s Landing before reaching Flea Bottom, where he recognized a familiar looking man with black hair and a yellow tunic. It was definitely Oberyn.

Oberyn appeared to be completely drunk. It was going to be difficult to get him back to the Red Keep.

“Cersei wants me to take you back to the Keep,” Jaime explained to the drunk Dornish prince.

“Jaime, come drink with me first, my friend,” Oberyn held out his glass for a refill.

Jaime reluctantly had a few drinks with the Dornish prince, hoping that afterwards they would be able to leave. “We really need to be getting back,” the one-handed Lannister reminded Oberyn.

“Before we can head back I really need to piss,” Oberyn laughed drunkenly.

“We can stop by the public privy on our way back,” Jaime suggested. He grabbed the drunken prince’s arm and started to lead him to the public privy.

Even though it was a communal toilet, Jaime was glad to see no one else was in it with them. “Now go,” the Commander of the King’s Guard Ordered.

Oberyn drunkenly struggled to get his tunic and leggings open.

Jaime let out a sigh, did he really have to do everything around here. He awkwardly began to undo Oberyn’s tunic and pants. He never thought he would ever have to help an adult man undress, why did weird things always happen to find him.

“Now piss,” Jaime ordered, “we don’t have all night.”

“I’m trying but I can’t go, my body isn’t letting me,” Oberyn drunkenly wined, “maybe if you go I will be able to go too. The sound can help .”

This proposition made Jaime feel uncomfortable, he didn’t want someone to listen to him having a piss but he also wanted just to get this all over with. He sighed again.

The commander of the kings guard awkwardly started to undo the front of his trousers and started urinating into the privy hole closest to him. This was a much easier task when he had two working hands.

Hearing the tinkling sound of Jaime’s stream, allowed Oberyn’s bladder to release. The Dornish prince released a long stream of his own in the toilet hole in front of him. All the alcohol finally leaving his body.

Jaime finished first but waited to leave the privy block until Oberyn finally finished. They headed to the wash basin to clean their hands.

“We are going back to the Keep now,” Jaime ordered.

What are your thought on a genderbent Lancel Lannister? Without his complete obedience, Cersei might have had an harder time drugging Robert during his last hunt (unless Tyrek was as tractable). Would she still be used by Cersei to further her plans? Would she try and join the Faith Militant like he did in canon? Would she be attached to Cersei's service or to Myrcella's?

I think Cersei has enough personal charisma and charm to convince another Lannister or Lannister adjacent squire to drug Robert up a bit. If Lancel was say a Lancelle instead I think she’d just be seen as one of Cersei’s ladies in waiting or as an older companion for Myrcella. It would depend what happened to her over the course of the plot as to whether or not she wound up becoming totally disillusioned and joining the Faith Militant. I don’t know that Cersei would really see much use for her besides as an occasional spy, Cersei still doesn’t even trust her own ladies, save maybe Taena, and that’s when she is very emotionally raw and wounded and actively looking for someone to confess things to, against her better judgement. I can see Cersei really not wanting someone like that around in case Robert gets any ideas, since the thought of Robert going for someone who looks like, well, a younger version of herself would probably really, really incense her.
