This upcoming Monday, January 13th at 5:27 pm EST, we are going to be having our first full moon of 2025 in the Zodiac sign of cancer. Being in cancer, this full moon is all about illuminating the subconscious, bringing light to dreams, other worlds and ancestral desires. This is going to be centered on primal, visceral and reactive emotions that come from the deepest places inside of us and the things that they are tied to. Family, homeplace, tradition, birth and fertility.

This full moon in cancer is at 23°, this decan is under jurisdiction of Jupiter and is tied to magic, prophecy, dreams and travel. The energies here are more ethereal, enchanted and surreal than in the other decans. Something of particular note here is the sabian symbol “A WOMAN AND TWO MEN CASTAWAYS ON A SMALL ISLAND OF THE SOUTH SEAS”. I felt called to check the sabian symbol. This image immediately evokes in my mind both the lovers tarot card and the three of cups. The imagery in the lovers denotes an archangel overlooking a man and a woman, most likely if we're following the biblical lore apparent in the story of the tarot, are Adam and Eve. This Angel who oversees their union is the ineffable presence of spirit during the process of alchemy. The combining of two or more forces into one coherent mass. There is a binding here in this degree of cancer. The South seas are warm, fertile and evocative to our nether regions. There is a need to make a decision regarding the fertile waters of our imagination here. The moon is conjunct retrograde mars, this is an incredibly volatile, intense and downright violent energy. This incredibly potent energy is opposite Pallas Athene in Capricorn, and sun in Capricorn. This has to do with authority systems and courts of law being violently challenged to a destructive degree, I wouldn't be surprised if a major court case erupted, or if some violent developments are made, maybe even regarding Luigi Mangione. The judicial quality to this moon is supported by Venus exalted in Pisces conjunct Saturn in the 9th, and the NN conjunct Neptune loosely. This definitely to me speaks to major moments of consequences regarding money in the world of politics and religion, and. There is some major karmic situation developing in the political sphere and it's about the intersection of delusion, religion and politics and it's figures. This configuration is positively supported, and may go energetically unopposed so to speak, with mars, the moon, and the sun, harmoniously aspecting the nodes who just recently ingressed into Pisces and Virgo. A basket configuration is made including Uranus and Neptune, so the otherworldly, unexpected and out of this world energy is highly present collectively and spurring major moments regarding health and healing with Chiron being caught in the basket.

This year’s personal planet Capricorn ingresses commenced on 01 December as Mercury paved the way joining a series of bodies that have achieved tenure in Capricorn. These long-standing influences chatting up Mercury include the asteroid Icarus, the centaurs Pholus and Hylonome, the Kuiper Belt Object Quaoar and Pluto, however you personally classify him. Pluto says, “Sayonara,” to Capricorn until September somewhat midstream in the transit sequence ahead.

This sign change suggests a  collective unconscious attitude shift that could potentially impact an  astute Earth-occupying traveler to apply the evolving consciousness and  accrue even further gains.

What does all of this tenured influence mean? Eat well and consume only those things that foster your being. Make every act of life ceremonial. Don’t fly too high - you know, no over assessment of capabilities. Life is a creative song and dance routine. You need to put on a good show, but only following the emotional release of any professional regrets. Be clear that it’s okay to be abundant. This speedy and anomalistic pulsar provides an ongoing series of messages that clarify sticking point issues in ones life. These appear as repeating blips from the cosmos that intend to get you to: let go of mental snares that no longer serve your purposes; cease discussing (and repeating ad nauseam) matters of the past you must let go. “That’s a nice name.”

“Thank you. Yours as well.”

After your bath, there were three more ladies-in-waiting in your bedroom. They introduced themselves before you, each one bowing after they’ve said their names: Perina, Mitoria, and Forelle. You sit among them. Lestia dried your hair while the others entertained you with stories. It did not take long for you to adapt with them, you can easily understand their jokes and idioms and you buckled in laughter. Typical Naboo girl talk.

“What kind of man do you prefer, Lady [y/n]?” Forelle asked casually.

You were taken aback by the question but not offended, of course. The cogs in your mind cranked and slowly started running as you begin to think of the right words.

“Do you like a boy with hair as red as fire?” Lestia teased as she smoothed your hair.

You stifled a laugh and bit your lip. Perina gasped like a teenager, wagging her finger at you while she covers her other hand with her open mouth.

“Milady is blushing!”

The girls giggled as you blushed, you have never had this kind of giddy because you have spent most of your childhood playing rough with your fellow Padawans—hitting each other with dummy sabers in the courtyard and all. That was a whole other definition of giddy.

“I think Milady has someone in mind already.” Lestia winked at you. Of course she knew.

Mitoria had begun styling your hair, her slender fingers navigated their way through your [hair color] locks with great ease and expertise, the most elaborate of styles do not faze her.

Perina had a skill with the face. You are her living canvas—the fine bristles of her brush glide on your skin, leaving streaks and spots of powder and colors in all the right places, and for her finishing touch: painting your lip in the shade of a juvenile rose.

“See? Very beautiful.” Perina smiled.

Lestia stood up, “It’s time for Milady’s garments.”

The girls shuffled in excitement. Mitoria covered your eyes from behind, Lestia opened the closet and handed a case to Forelle. As for Lestia, she tenderly cradled your dress with both hands supporting the top and bottom portions to see the full length.

“Go on, let Lady [y/n] see.”

You opened your eyes and you were utterly mesmerized.

“Oh!” You swooned. “It’s so beautiful.”

“One more thing, milady.” Forelle added, she opened the case that she had been holding, and before you was an array of jewelry, complete from head to toe. Your hand hovered over the case, pointing on the particular accessories that tickled your fancy, and the ladies put it on you.

“There, you’re ready.” Lestia said with great pride.

Cere, Greez, and Cal were summoned to the ballroom. You were summoned to join your sister in her ingress, your parents were also there. You all had a little reunion—you hugged, you and your sister clasped each other’s hands before the ingress starts, and your Queen Sister marched with two of her handmaidens in the front.

“I hope you have interesting stories for me.” she whispered to you.

“I have just the thing.” you smugly say.

“Queen of the Naboo,” a voice announced. “And her beloved sister, Lady [y/n] of the Naboo.”

The mere mention of your name drew in Cal’s attention alone.

Behold the stars and their gold dust resting on your hair as loose locks spilled over your shoulders. The fabric of your dress was the fragile ice on the mountains of Zeffo, sweeping off the marble floor with your every step. The moon shone over your heart, strung around your neck as if you were its guardian saint.

You find Cal in the crowd. You smiled at him, both to acknowledge his presence and that you’ve never seen him all dashing.

“Wow.” Cal muttered under his breath.

Cere saw the boy stricken and smitten. She smirked and continued to watch the Queen and her family’s ingress.

The Queen gave a brief speech, goblet in hand, and concluding it with a wish for a happy night and a joyous celebration for everyone in the ballroom tonight. There was a dance, you and your father joined in; he was so happy that his little princess had come to visit home. You last saw him a middle-aged yet strong man, now his hair had greyed and his beard grown but his joints still haven’t stiffened.

“You know, keep looking on until some other guy steals her.” Greez groans.

“Greez,” Cere hissed.

“What? All I’m saying to the kid is ask her for a dance before someone else does!”

After your dance with your father, you finally met with Cal who seems to be behaving bashfully.

“Hi, guys.” You greeted, still in bliss from the dance with your father.

“[y/n], you’re looking very pretty tonight,” Cere compliments.

“Thanks, you guys look good too!”

“Well, we have the Queen to thank for that.” she winked.

At the corner of your eye, you notice that Cal has been staring at you, unsure what to say or what to do—even though he greatly considered Greez’s suggestion, albeit put terribly so.

“[y/n]…”

“Yes?”

“Will you have this dance with me?”

He offers his hand to you with hopeful eyes.

The Summer Solstice and Neptune Rx

Another Summer Solstice arrives, as the Sun enters Cancer on June 21st at 11:54 am EDT.

This is the longest day – the celebration of life and nurturing. For some, it’s a celebration of family (Cancer is the sign of mother/child and the childhood environment). For others, a reminder of family issues that they are still dealing with. Family is not a place of comfort for many, so I prefer to envision this as the moment when you celebrate your power to make your own family and your own safe space.

Neptune also stations Rx today (18 deg Pisces) which adds a subtle influence to this Summer Solstice. Neptune Rx can intensify dissolution, illusion or confusion. The purpose is to eventually reveal a truth, but with Neptune it’s never a direct process. This suggests that the light of this longest day may illuminate some family issues that need to be clarified, released and forgiven.

And, we have two eclipses (see the list below for dates and degrees). These are amplified turning points, again related to home, family and childhood. Along with the Sun’s passage over the North Node (future) and opposition to Saturn and Pluto, it indicates that this Cancer season will very much be about confronting family traditions and making new ones for yourself.

Ultimately, you’re looking for new ways to make yourself feel safe and nurtured, and/or to nurture others. Perhaps you’re creating your own family or declaring your separation from your existing family.

Tiny Post: Strength

Hello to all my avid readers. There are two ingresses that are p cool. Sun into Leo and Venus into Virgo. These two archetypes appear in the Strength card which is my Favorite card.

Venus in Virgo articles are floating around and... I generally don’t like them because basically the only take they have is that “service is her love language~~~” that’s not even really my experience. Or is it? Idk. Everything hides from me when it’s in the twelfth house so idk.

But this year these articles do finally have me thinking about service. Everything is in service to something, isn’t it? What is this post in service to? My desire to write about astrology, and share about it. That’s valid. That’s cool. So what do I think about that desire? Do I cherish it? Am I writing this post to honor it, or does writing it degrade me? I should make up my mind, because, if I am honoring it, then I should do a good job and apply myself; and if it degrades me, I should focus on a different action that serves something else.

I do find myself in service of things I don’t care about, like my coffee habit or whatever, which feels like it’s in service to a Big Inner Baby who Loves Getting his Stupid Way Even If It Means My Life Becomes Detrimented like ... and it feels degrading to honor it, know what I mean?

I’m also eating salad out of a bowl right now. It’s taking a while and I’m impatient. So I came over here to the computer to type because I want to type so much lately. I want to spend any spare moment typing. The salad is in service to my health, my vigor, my hunger...

Since Venus entered Virgo I’ve felt more at ease about doing housework and its boringness. Coinkydink? Maybe, but who cares? If following the planets inspires us via placebo or via electricity, what’s the difference?

It occurs to me that since I am Libra rising, and Venus is my ruling planet, that following the ingresses and aspects of Venus could be a good devotional practice for me. Maybe I will do that this year.

Hold on. I am going to check my solar return real quick.

This is going to be a momentus year for me because I am taking a quasi sabbatical in order to reorganize and grow up so I really want to pray over this solar return chart.

Ok. First I quash the urge to say “It looks like shit” even though that’s funny because that’s such a rude thing to say about this thing that is sacred. That would be in service to my Gemini Mars who loves to make things funny, in the 8th house where it’s often inappropriate. It doesn’t look like shit. Here are the beautiful aspects of my solar return chart.

For one thing, there’s a gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous and did I mention gorgeous air trine. Moon Gem 23 house 3. Mercury Libra 25 house 7. Jupiter 23 Aquarius house 11. Both mercury and Jupiter are retrograde so they’ll have internalized expression and I Fux With It. (My virgo disapproves of me saying that and is offended and hurt, why would you say that? Don’t degrade the chart. But if I don’t say it, I will die!!! That’s not true though. You will live better. You won’t be giggling at yourself but your life will be better...) Anyway, I have been in hell lately because all I want to do is read and write, and it looks like that instinct going into this coming year is on point.

Sun and Mars are combined in Libra in the sixth house. I love a sixth house sun. They trine Saturn in Aquarius in the tenth house, retrograde, which is precisement what I want to be focusing on this coming term. I will be constricting my studio to 10-12 people, and also, (Here is where my heart sings) I will be tra la la la enrolled in a PRACTICUM with an incredible Aries teacher I’ve found, who is so compatible with all that I want to do in my teaching practice this coming year. Saturn CONSTRICTION I will be narrowing my studio numbers and also, adding a lot of structure to the way I teach and exist. This pleases me a lot. I mean, this aspect, is really feeding me here, I love it.

Pluto is also in my tenth house, which indicates transformation, which I am here for as well.

And Aries is rising which is fabulous, I love some directness in my life.

Less cute things: there’s no special indicator that I should be super into Venus, but I’m going to do it anyway, [BITCHES!!!] [No that’s degrading, that’s rude, why would you say that??? This train don’t carry no jokers...]

Sun and Mars in 6th are opposite Chiron in the twelfth, don’t really dig that very much.

Several squares: Moon and nep’Tune, Pluto and Mercury, Venus and Jupiter. So there’s going to be a lot of frictional stimulation here.

So now that I look more at Venus it looks like it’s going to be in a really interesting position. I think I’m going to worship Venus this year man. So my Venus is in Scorpio in the 8th house, square aqua Jupiter, TRINE PISCES NEP, opposite Taurus Uranus. It looks like it’s going to be stimulated and have lots of interesting questions.

OOOOHHHH A COOL SHAPE!!!!!

THE AIR TRINE... each planet in the air trine is squared. Moon squared neptune, Jupiter squared Venus, Mercury squared Pluto. LOVE IT! So the trine is really charged so my writing idea is on point. 

Oh let me add that Ceres is trine Sun/Mars, sextile Chiron, trine Saturn... it makes a trine with sun/mars-saturn, also in air signs... so yeah... double air trines. But sunmars-ceres-saturn is all in 2nd 6th 10th houses. This is awesome dude! And it puts Chiron at the tip of a Kite or something. Ceres being in the 2nd house and Gemini means, if I don’t read, I will perish.

This is such a cool chart the more I look at it. The north node is also in 2nd house Gemini. So this is a year for a lot of writing... basically!

while it's far from aquarius season proper yet, we're certainly amassing a lot of planets in that sign and especially "feminine" energies. this is a good time to work with issues surrounding a detached mother figure, the loss of (or other trauma around) a mother or child figure, and more pleasantly the nurturing of the brain - the right neurochemicals but also the right puzzles, philosophies, and aims for the greater good.

Astrology of March, 2023

Are you ready for the great transition? This upcoming month of March is presenting the momentous time for not only personal development and progress, but collective as well. With multiple planets finally exiting positions that they've been stationed in for years, particularly Saturn, who's been in a position of dignity since 2017, and Pluto who's been in Capricorn for 15 years and will finally ingress Aquarius where he will stay for 20. Have hope these big changes are bringing in goodness.

This period is marked with incredible changes that are going to be infrastructural and revolutionary. With the dwarf planet Ceres in retrograde motion and re-entering her dignity of Virgo this month, we can expect even more environmental catastrophe and upset globally as the fight for our earth intensifies in the month of March.

Re-shifting focus back to the planet of Saturn, on March 7th we have Saturn finally exiting Aquarius and entering ethereal, nebulus and profound Pisces. We're going to be seeing a dramatic shift in collective relationships to religion, escapism and fantasy. All of the people who had gotten into new age spirituality over the course of Saturn in Aqua are going to be leaving it behind to revolutionize the vestiges of traditional conventional religions. There's definitely going to be greater moral dilemmas, restriction of power and trials also surrounding religious institutions during this time. Our seas, oceans and lakes are going to become a focus for us during this period as Pisces forces us to reckon with the damage you've done to our waters. We may see an end to offshore drilling during this time. Themes of isolation are still present here however they are turned inward, we are no longer going to be allowed to escape into ourselves and our vices during this time.

With Venus and Juno entering Taurus mid March we can expect an even more dreamy, romantic and enchanted feeling to our month as we shift our focus towards money, our values and how business affects our morality. There's going to be a great focus on art, a revival of fashion, aesthetics and beauty in the mainstream especially with Jupiter joining Taurus this April, but I digress.

Mars has been in Gemini since August 20th of 2022 and will finally be exiting giving us a rest from that mental exertion anxiety and disquiet. He will be entering his fall, Cancer, heightening feelings of emotionality, the need for safety, national pride and family. Almost immediately he will be in a trinw with Saturn in Pisces showing a period of rebuilding and restructuring centered around home, spirituality and family. This is actually a very productive time and it builds us up to Pluto entering Aquarius which will be ushering in revolutions on a large scale, innovation and relief from hierarchical chains.

#PHnews: Bus company asks NegOr prov'l gov't for resumption of travel

DUMAGUETE CITY – Passenger bus operator Vallacar Transit, Inc. (VTI) is requesting the provincial government of Negros Oriental to allow the resumption of travel between here and Cebu City.

This came several months after the bus trips rolled to a stop last year following the imposition of the community quarantine to stem the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19).

Assistant Provincial Health Officer, Dr. Liland Estacion, health committee chair of the province’s Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID), in a press briefing Tuesday said she received a letter from VTI regarding the appeal.

However, she wrote back to the company that operates the Ceres buses to write Gov. Roel Degamo instead so that this could be tackled during a meeting with the provincial IATF later this week.

Capitol Public Information Officer Bimbo Miraflor, meanwhile, said that “whatever is best for the riding public will be considered”.

“The resumption of travels to Cebu will depend on the rise of infection in both areas and the places along the route,” he said.

For his part, provincial IATF-EID executive director Adrian Sedillo said the body, chaired by Degamo, will be meeting on Friday with the local chief executives regarding this, as well as the easing of borders from other provinces, such as Negros Occidental.

He said that under the latest guidelines from the national IATF on intra-zonal and inter-zonal movements, border control is now “technically lifted” in areas that have been placed under general community quarantine (GCQ) and modified general community quarantine (MGCQ).

Negros Oriental remains under MGCQ.

The meeting is expected to deliberate on how to control the ingress and egress of people in the province with the easing up/lifting of restrictions, to include certain documentary requirements for the general public, Sedillo said. (PNA)
