You sail out to the spot you could last remember meeting them, disheartened when the mermen don't, finding yourself questioning all that has happened in the last week, and your childhood and the myth that saturates. Until one does show up, and brings the other, and suddenly there are two mermen on the deck of your small houseboat; one that is tired as the sunset but entertains your several questions, the other who prefers to scare you at any given opportunity and eat the entire bucket of fish you've brought, and both seemingly insistent that you do not leave, they do not leave you, and that there may be something else in the water. This is what you get for being friends with mythical omens of legend.

I don’t know a whole whole lot about the source material but @bamsara’s fish designs are VERY good and I had to draw em!! Celestial Omens has really captivating writing and I found myself kinda sucked into it abajsbs

Also I haven’t drawn humanoids in 4(?) years so excuse any weird anatomy I’m a furry artist now and forever okay

Beware the murky water This was supposed to be just a quick doodle sketch for @bamsara​ ‘s Celestial Omens fic and... NGL very happy with the water atmosphere look and the glowy fade and the brainrot that’s developed in my head from their renditions of Sun and Moon This got a little crunchy around his ‘head fin’ but other than that I’m very happy with it <3

Welp i been tortured by both writer's block and artist's block while making my webtoons for a long long time....so i decide to draw fanarts instead.
