I also think that when I see people demanding a *unique* oppression, that they are asking for something impossible and also are very much misunderstanding intersectionality in the first place.
I don't believe any oppression is truly unique. I do think there are faces of oppression that change with the demographic, but more likely than not you as Oppressed Group X have way more in common with Oppressed Group Y than you might think.
But also, Crenshaw's original paper on intersectionality discussed a specific context: black women being skipped over for hire where black men and white women were both getting hired, making that specific context unique to the intersection of black womanhood.
People get skipped over for jobs they are more than qualified for all the time. Even within the paper itself, there is discussion about this happening to black men and white women at other companies, just that this specific company was excluding specifically black women from its pool of candidates due to their specific bias against black women.
Experiencing workplace discrimination and hiring discrimination is not at all unique to black women. The *context* was. It was not "just racism" because black men were being hired, and it was not "just misogyny" because white women were getting hired. It was the intersection of both that resulted in black women being excluded.
When a trans man states that he is being removed from, say, a reproductive rights conversation and it's happening specifically because he is a trans man, what's meant shouldn't be that no one else struggles with reproductive rights. It means that it's not happening to the cis women who are actively leading the conversation, nor is it happening to the cis men who are pitching in. It is, however, happening to anyone with a uterus who is deemed as too "gender devient" to count: trans men, trans women, intersex people, and nonbinary people. Albeit, for different reasons, and the face of which changes depending on the demographic of the person receiving it.
But the conversation around reproductive rights is also one that must include disability, must include race, must include sexuality, must include class, must include age, because these things also have a direct effect on discrimination within the medical field and whether someone truly has access to the autonomy needed to make reproductive choices of their own without others choosing for them.
Similar to how we can understand the context provided in Crenshaw's coining of intersectionality to examine how black women specifically were experiencing something that neither black men nor white women were victim to within that specific example, so too must we understand that these are contextual and circumstantial conversations that will not always be truly unique.
After all, black men and white women do both get rejected for jobs on account of race and gender. Cis women and other marginalized genders frequently must battle for their right to make their own reproductive choices.
But when someone says "this happened to me due to the combination of my race and my gender", we must understand that likely the combination, the intersection, created a unique scenario that cannot be understood by only examining a single piece of that person's identity. So, too, must we understand the same when someone says "this happened due to the combination of my transness and my gender".
So when I see a challenge to name something unique from someone also flinging around the "learn intersectionality" phrase at those who are trying to describe the things that happened to them that hurt them, all I can think is that clearly that person does not understand interaectionality. Nor have they ever actually read the words of the woman who coined it. She's still alive. Her TED talks are on YouTube. Many of her essays are online for free.
Finally, I must remind these people that Crenshaw is not the woman who coined misogynoir, and while both Crenshaw's and Bailey's theories do work in conversation with each other, being discussed by different people does mean there is not a 1-to-1 basis to compare them to. There will be disagreements and inconsistencies between the two because they are two different people.

─────── · ·
─ · · Evren had come by near the end of breakfast as he helped ensure there would be no leftovers. He offered a giddy smile before stuffing his face and licking the plate clean. You sighed, disappointed, I was really looking forward to those waffles later. You feel Jayce's stare on you, catching your sad look as you stare at Evren's plate longingly. "Want to get ready together?" You feel Jayce hot breath whisper into your ear, you turn your head over your shoulder and nod as Jayce pulls your chair out and you both head down the hall.
"Would you mind helping me to the market? I used up the last of the eggs," Ximena asked, grabbing Evren's arm. "Of course, gorgeous," is the last thing you hear Evren say to Xiema before the bathroom door closes.
"You really are okay with Evren flirting with your mom?" you question as Jayce shrugs his shoulders, "my mom has better taste than him." Your jaw drops, "Jayce!" you shout before cracking up and Jayce can't help but laugh as well.
─ · · You and Jayce proceeded to get ready in the bathroom... or well, at least you tried too, Jayce on the other hand seemingly couldn't allow you to focus on anything but keeping his touch on you; pulling your head in his direction for a kiss before wrapping his arms around your waist, head on your shoulder as he looked at you both through the mirror with a grin- kissing you on the cheek. "Jayce! I can't get ready if you're all over me like this."
Jayce sighs, peeling his head away yet his arms and chest still block you against the vanity. "Someone's desperate for attention," you mumble underneath your breath, bending down as Jayce groans, not knowing that you would pay for your words and actions later.
You look for your hair product in the cabinet but just as you feel his hips roll into your backside you stand up straight and continue your routine- refusing to even make eye contact with him in the mirror.
With a huff Jayce pulls off his shirt before walking over to the shower albeit it slowly- knowing that the moment you saw skin, your attention was drawn to his back muscles flexing as he reached over to adjust the temperature and the small chain that dangles around his neck, you raise your brow curious as to what it is.
Steam begins to fill the small space as he turns around, bare chest brushing up against your covered one to grab a towel. Your hand grasped his side, eyes connecting with your promise ring dangling from his neck- you blink away the memories of that moment before trailing your hand slowly around and down to his stomach as you bite your lip, looking up at him.
Jayce says nothing, simply unbuckling his belt but before you can remove your hand he grasps your wrist, pulling it back to rest on his abs in a silent demand before you hear the leather slipping through the belt loops and crashing against the floor. You feel a wave of emotions come over you as your cheeks warm, your eyes not knowing where to rest upon as Jayce stares down at you, his body taking up your frontal vision and your hand so close to his- you simply stare up at the ceiling trying to calm yourself with deep breaths, I have work I need to get done today, I have work to do, I have-
─────── · · ⭐️
You feel Jayce's lips against your exposed neck feeling as he smiles against your skin once hearing you moan, fuck, that you quickly try and cover with your other hand. "God you're so beautiful," Jayce murmurs- his hands reach up your shirt leaving you gasping as he gropes your chest and feels for a clasp. Your hand slips from your mouth, "Jayce" you whisper-shout his name slowly in warning your yet it comes out more like a plea.
"Mhmm?" He murmurs, lips finding your cheek trailing down to your chin and across to your lips. You feel his breath, hot and heavy as he speaks softly to you, "I know you worked so hard on your make-up and hair darling, I won't mess it up, promise." You feel as he pulls away, your eyes opening as he pats the counter, "sit."
You stare for a moment, thighs clenching together, you can feel your core start to throb in want as Jayce watches the gears turn in your head, "just want to make you feel good, sweetheart." You cover your face with your palms, shaking your head, trying to regain your rationale mind but all you can think about us how good his fingers would feel stretching you out, the rough pad of his thumb rubbing your clit, the feeling of his beard scratching the skin between your thighs- you groan before lifting yourself onto the counter, looking at Jayce with pleading eyes.
Jayce rubs his palms up and down your thighs, feeling as they tremor in wait, the material of your nightgown starts to bunch up at the top of your waist exposing your wet folds soaking through the fabric of your undergarments. You shiver feeling the ghost of his knuckle teasingly swipe up and down your folds, "this wet for me already?" you nod, staring down at his hands watching the veins that bulge across the back of them and how they run up his forearms, you bite your lip remembering all the nights you fantasized about those exact hands helping you to reach your release and how many times your own fingers failed to compare.
You wiggle against the countertop in need, ready to start begging and by the look in Jayce's darkening eyes, he expects you to beg for him. "please just touch me, please," you press yourself against his hand, rotating your hips as he pushes the heel of his palm against your clit, you groan once finally finding friction to soothe the ache within you.
Jayce pulls his hand as you hump air for a second ready to complain before feeling as Jayce pulls down your ruined panties, casting them aside with his belt. Two large fingers circle around your leaking hole, the first knuckles sneaking in to gather your wetness before carrying it up to clit- pinching it and getting you to whine. When Jayce beings to rub, your head soon feels too heavy for your body- your forehead falling against his shoulder, "feels so good, Jayce," you hum into his ear, he smiles at the praise, "missed my fingers-hm?"
"mhmm, so much, Jayce. Just didn't feel the same," Jayce's movements pause again and you are beyond frustrated, reaching down to move his hand but Jayce remains firm, looking at you in the eyes with a strong, no.
"Who touched you here? tell me," Jayce asks, taking his attention away from your clit and instead entering your hole, filling you slowly before stopping halfway seeing as you don't answer him, "who fucked this pussy?"
"Only you since then Jayce, promise, only you," you feel yourself drip down your thighs as you pray for another finger to further the already delicious stretch you feel. "So this is mine?" you nod your head frantically feeling that third finger prodding at your entrance, the stretch a pleasurable burn as you grip his forearm, "all yours" you moan out feeling as he fully pulls his fingers out before filling you quickly and roughly.
"Mine to finger?" he kisses you once, another thrust, "yes," you whisper against his lips.
"Mine to fuck?" his kiss lingers, teeth pulling at your lip, "yes," you moan out, feeling his other hand move to place pressure againat your clit in small circular motions. The steam of the room coats your mind in a foggy haze of pleasure.
"Mine to cum in?" you clench down on his fingers, hard. Jayce presses his head against your own, breaths ragged, you feel across his chest down to his abs as he continues to fuck you with his fingers feeling as his muscles tense with every breath he takes.
Sparks explode across your hot skin that quickly turn into flames as you wiggle your hips, chasing your impending release. "Did you dream of me, baby? Me filling you up? Stretching you out? Reaching parts inside of you that no one else could? Marking you with my-"
"Jayce!" you yell, his words inciting your orgasm to come crashing down as you moan and whine against him yet Jayce only quickens his pace, slamming his fingers in and out of your gushing hole, the entire scene obscene as you flush at the squelching sounds of your lingering orgasm.
Your thighs are shaking as the once pleasurable burn turns into painful sensitivity, you tap Jayce's back three times getting him to stop. You watch as he slowly pulls his fingers out of your dripping cunt and see the way that they gleam underneath the artificial lights.
"My messy girl," Jayce belittles you, licking your release off of his fingers slowly, enjoying the taste thoroughly before bending down and forcing your knees apart, "let me clean you up?" he asks, looking up at you with large and shining hazel eyes- pleading.
How could you refuse that look? Grabbing him by his curly brown locks you lead his face towards your sex, withering and learning back against the cool mirror once feeling his rough tongue take a long lick up your slick. "J-jayce~" you sob his name and feel his moan vibrate your clit, your ankles lock behind his back, pushing him further into you.
Jayces hands grip your thighs tightly, you know marks will appear later but how could you care when he was making you see literal stars as you blinked looking up into the light fixture, lost in pleasure. "I'm gonna cum... a-almost there," you look down meeting his eyes as his tongue enters your hole making sure to gather every last drop of your previous orgasm.
You open your mouth in a silent scream, gripping his hair as he groans, nose rocking against your clit as your muscles clench- your orgasm rocking through every vein in your body, tingling and coming to life as your breaths become short and staggered before hitching as Evren calls your name from the front door.
You freeze, trying to pull Jayce away yet he just shakes his head, continuing to lap up your cunt as you plead at him, "J-jayce I-ah," you whisper through moans trying to wiggle yourself away but only finding yourself sitting more on his face, his hands squeezing and gripping your ass in warning.
You breathe out a sigh in relief once feeling him pull away, not bothering to wipe his mouth as he pulls you in for a kiss- tasting your release on his lips. You push your hands at his chest, needing air as he kneads your muscles, "I have to go see him," you try and explain to Jayce, feeling as he rocks his covered bulge against your prepared entrance. "Yeah? you need to go see him?" Jayce counters while starting to pull your night gown and bra with it over your head.
"I-I thought you said you weren't going to mess up my look," you try and counter with pout and glare once seeing your reflection in his dark eyes. Jayce smiles softly, "you're glowing, my love." You shake your head with a sigh, "I just came twice Jayce, I'm covered in sweat-there's a difference," you try and explain yet Jayce only shakes his head, kissing you to effectively shut you up. You hear Evren yell your name again, the front door slamming closed as his footsteps continue inwards into the apartment.
"He'll leave soon," Jayce explains as you listen to him unzip his pants, feeling as he rubs his length across your slick before feeling the tip of his cock poke at your hole- threatening to enter. Jayce tilts your head to the side, brushing your hair away before kissing up your neck to behind your ear, biting down on your lobe and whispering inside, "say you don't want this and I'll stop so you can go say hi to your friend."
You sigh frustrated, Jayce knows what he's doing, knows that your need is speaking louder than your brain. Evren will leave... right? "I need you Jayce," you confirm feeling as your hole wraps around the head of his cock, sucking him in. Jayce curses underneath his breath, knuckles turning white as he grips the countertop. "You have to relax for me, sweetheart. A bit too tight," Jayce says, biting his lip listening to you whine and force yourself to relax.
Jayce sighs, pushing himself in inch by inch, the time apart and the prep from his fingers could only do so much to fit you around his girth as you hissed, nails clawing into his back as he rocked you both gently to start. A hairbrush of yours falls and clatters against the tiled floors. Jayce leans forwards- sinking deeper into you, pressing a kiss to your nose before leaning down and leaving wet hot kisses against your shoulder.
"Hows it feel? you doing okay?" a knuckle gently brushing up and down your spine as you shiver and wiggle your thighs around his waist, "feels... good, so good, Jayce. So deep- thank you, Jayce, thank you," you cry out in bliss feeling him rock into you again, your walls aching with need.
"Yeah? This what you needed-hm? Just cock in you to make you relax?" You lean forwards pressing a kiss to his arm- not trusting your words as only moans come out of your mouth in between gasps of air as he forces himself in you again and again... a knock at the bathroom door sounds. You freeze yet Jayce keeps fucking you, uncaring as he smirks and looks down at you, wondering when you'll tell him to stop.
You stare at him blankly, a harsh snap of his hips has you about to moan yet he places his lips quickly against your own to muffle the sound, "quiet" he hisses into your ear afterwards. You paw at his arms, mind half filled with desperation for him to fill you, the other side to wanting to pull away. You close your eyes, thankful for the shower still being on but praying for Evren to just walk away.
Jayce begins to rub at our clit, your hands fall off Jayce's arms as you arch your back, leaning against the counter. After hearing nothing for a little while you look up at Jayce, I'm close, you try and whisper to him before biting back another moan- feeling as your eyes well with tears.
Jayce removes his hand from your clit, grabbing your waist as he starts to fuck you harder, hips slamming into your own as Jayce chases his own release.
You can barley contain yourself as you cry out in pleasure, mind fully gone, only thoughts of your impending orgasm clouding over. Jayce watches as your eyes roll into the back of your head, the way your chest bounces with every thrust of his cock into your leaking core. You feel as his hand snakes its way up between your breasts before gently gripping the sides of your throat in warning.
Another knock sounds, this time louder, "Hey, you doing okay? I'm gonna head to the library, take it easy today alright?" Evren says, voice close to the door. Jayce pulls your neck towards him, your eyes looking into his own as he squeezes again in warning before slowly releasing his grip. You clear your throat yelling, "Okay Ev! I'll see you tomorrow!"
"See you then!" you hear him tap the door twice in goodbye before locking your front door again. You collapse against Jayce's chest, moaning loudly, "Did that turn you on, sweetheart? Having someone almost hear me fucking you... could have seen my fucking you? Making them know that I'm yours and you're only mine?"
"Fuck, Jayce! Yes," you wiggle your hips meeting his thrusts, "just want to be yours." Jayce kisses you harshly feeling your thighs lock around him as you near your peak. "Gonna let me cum inside you?"
"Yes, please Jayce," you cry out. "Want to feel me coating your insides? Making you mine?"
"Mhmm!" you shake in his arms that wrap around your back, holding you upright as you feel him twitch within you, you gasp feeling your own orgasm rake over your body as you shudder against his chest, tears dripping down your cheeks as you mumble incoherently once feeling him fill you up with jagged thrusts, "s-such a good girl, so perfect for me," he stutters into a growl feeling as you clench down harder at the sound, effectively milking him dry.
You both lean against one another's hot and sticky skin. Jayce presses a kiss to your forehead, brushing the hair away from your face as he checks you over quickly, your heart aches at how quickly he changes personalities before picking you up by the back of your thighs and carrying you into the shower, still connected. You hum once feeling the warm water coat your skin before feeling the cool tile against your back as Jayce steadies you, equally hissing while watching him pull out.
You feel your combined release drip from your hole and start to run down your thighs with the water. You gasp once feeling the rough pads of Jayce's fingers collect the mixture and stuff it back inside your sore opening as you grip his bicep and take deep breaths. "Can't waste it now," Jayce murmurs- you question if you can orgasm again from not being able to feel your legs... and then you suddenly remember all the papers you have to mark as post-orgasm clarity comes to the forefront of your thoughts. "May just need to fuck you again if you're still thinking about anything, relax, my love," Jayce, lovingly ridicules you, picking up your chin to press a gentle kiss to your puffy lips.
─────── · · ⭐️
You sigh- forcing your mind to numb as you watch Jayce lather and wash your skin before cleaning himself. You reach up and pull him forwards by his shoulders so that you can wash his hair, digging your nails into his scalp as he smiles contently, closing his eyes in pure bliss. You had never seen Jayce so utterly... relaxed. Your heart swells as you cares his jaw, running your thumb across his cheek, you didn't realize you said those words aloud before hearing Jayce's response, "only you could make me feel this and it is only you I would trust enough."
Your heart skips a beat, "I love you, Jayce."
"And I love you, Sweetheart, so incredibly much," you squeal once feeling his large hand hold the back of your head, pushing your lips together in a heated kiss. We're never getting out of here are we?
─────── · ·
─ · · Drying yourselves off you both helped each other to get dressed. Jayce's heart ached seeing that you had taken some of his clothes with you, "I found the smell comforting" you explain with a blush before throwing one of Jayce's shirts in his face. He quickly catches it before then and moves to press a kiss to the side of your head as you sort through what to wear for the day.
Sliding on your pants you fiddle around your drawers for a shirt, huffing frustratedly when you realize the shirt you wanted to wear was still drying. "How about that white one?" Jayce points while tucking in his shirt. You become distracted seeing his forearms on display as he reaches for his belt. Jayce tilts his head and looks at you, "You don't have to, sweetheart. Just thought it would go with your pants."
You grab the white shirt and blazer to go with it. Jayce places one of his cufflinks between his teeth, eyebrows furrowing in concentration as he fiddles with the metal before moving to his other sleeve. He watches as you button up your shirt, confused as to why you still looked annoyed. "Can you turn around please?" you ask quietly, slipping your blazer on without even looking at him.
"Turn around? But we just... okay, are you doing alright, darling?" Jayce asks, you stare as he bends over and reaches for his own jacket on your bed watching all the material of his clothes perfectly contour his body. Jayce listens to you huff, "Stop it," you demand.
Jayce turns back around to find you choosing a pair of shoes before moving to sit in an armchair within the corner of your room, practically shaking. "Stop what?" he asks softly- not wanting to anger you further as he kneeling before you, placing your ankle on his knee before sliding your shoes onto your feet and lacing you in. He presses a kiss to your knee before picking up your other foot and doing the same.
You open and close your mouth annoyed by how good he looks while simply getting himself ready. The way he moves and flexes as if knowing you're watching. Jayce picks up your hands in between his own, rubbing the backs of them with his thumbs. "We can't get ready together again," you say before standing and picking up your jewellery from your nigh stand, hands shaking as you try and find the small clasp of your necklace behind your head before feeling Jayce's larger hands take the chain from your hands and clasp it together with ease before gently pulling your hair back into place.
"Why?" Jayce asks, hands rubbing up and down your sides as you both stand there silently and feel the suns warm kiss against your faces coming in between the blinds. "You're really distracting," you mumble underneath your breath before pulling away from his touch and heading outside the room. You listen as Jayce bursts out laughing- the sound of it echoing through the apartment before he takes a few large strides to meet back up with you at the front door.
─────── · ·
─ · · You take Jayce on a tour of the university campus, walking him around the greenhouse, pointing and explaining the various local fauna to him (yet also getting annoyed once noticing he was too busy staring at you instead of the flowers). "Jayce look! You can look at me whenever you want but not these," you try and explain. Jayce sighs looking at the flowers more closely, imagining how good they would look in your hair... fuck, I'm staring again, he thinks to himself.
You both are go un-noticing to the way a few of your students point and cover their mouths gasping and gossiping at the sight of your both together.
─ · · Next you take him into the library where you showed off your recently published studies with Evren. Jayce was so happy for you he nearly yelled while picking you up for a hug and giving you a little spin. His smile was intoxicating as he took the material off the shelf and started flipping through it.
You rested your head on his arm looking between his reaction and the pages as he pointed to the various diagrams you drew and the articles you collaborated on with utmost interest before gently placing it back on the shelf, squeezing your hand, "I'm so proud of you, sweetheart." You pulled him in for another hug, "thank you... it really means a lot."
"I'll say it a thousand more times since you deserve nothing but praise," you looked up, eyebrow raised as Jayce winked before pulling away, dragging your hand with him and back into the library's lobby where a small crowd had formed.
"Head Councillor! What brings you to the campus?" "Is it true that you slept with Councillor Medarda?" "When's the engagement?" "Can you let us know Piltovers plans for new trade?" "Do you still consider yourself, 'the man of progress'?" "Miss!" a hand reaches out to shake your own yet you quickly lace your fingers together and offer an anxious smile, taking a step slightly behind Jayce becoming worried as the crowd of journalists only seems to grow once discovering you.
Jayce looks down at you, trying to hold a smile while the lights flash in your face and various students begin yelling and complaining about the growing noise. Jayce shakes a few hands and waves away the questions with apparent ease yet you can see the way he grits his teeth, jaw tense as he constantly rings his fingers through his hair and grips your waist a bit too tightly, trying to lead you through the crowd and back to his hotel room so you both can get some work done today.
"Thank you all for your interest, but me and my partner here must get going-" Jayce begins to say, almost making it to the doors yet the question are a waterfall. "So you both are back together then?" "Why and when did the split happen?" "From partner to assistant, did you sleep your way to the top of society?" "Can we expect a wedding in the future?" "What about kids?" "Who is the heir to the House of Talis?" "Do you consider yourself distracted from your role?"
You start to feel sick, mind flashing back to all those sponsorship events you both used to attend. The seemingly never-ending curious eyes and hands- someone grabbed your elbow tugging you away from Jayce. You scream, threatening to fall back as a sea of reporters hold you upright... there are way to many hands touching me right now, your eyes go wide with panic as you begin to hyperventilate.
Fuck, where's Jayce? where is-, you blink through the masses trying to find Jayce, Evren, anyone you recognize before feeling your arm be tugged- firmly into a warm chest. Jayce shoves an on-coming reporter, taking deep breaths through his nose, eyes pointed and threatening as he opens the door for you and you both escape outside.
─ · · "Are you alright?" Jayce asks once you both are a distance away, "I'm sorry that happened. I had not considered that was the first time we had been publicly seen together since..." Jayce's voice trails off, his hand cupping the back of your head- eyes wide and glistening as he studies every micro-expression that crosses your features.
"I'm okay... just a bit... shaken-up after it all is all," you try and explain, reaching out to hold Jayce's hand hearing as he lets out a sigh of relief. "When you come back to Piltover, I'll make sure this doesn't happen."
"When I come to Piltover?" You raise a brow while holding a frown doing your best to hide the playful tease behind your eyes to appear pissed. Jayce opens and closes his mouth, removing the hand from your head to instead scratch at his neck, "I-uh, well, I was assuming, ass move of mine that-ah, you were coming back with me?"
You stare at him, tapping your foot with your arms crossed watching as he sweats, eyes frantic in panic before walking past him and in the direction of the hotel without another word with a smile. "Sweetheart(name)- please, I-I can stay here or visit, whatever works for you-" Jayce runs after you, hands extending yet pulling away quickly as he goes to touch you- unsure of how to not set you off further.
─────── · ·
─ · · When you get to the hotel doors, a staff member quickly ushers you both inside as you stand in the elevator, "what floor?" you ask in a cold tone as Jayce reaches over and hits number ten. You wait until the doors close before pulling Jayce by the lapels of his jacket and pressing a kiss close to his mouth before dropping your hold quickly and facing forwards.
Jayce stands there still leaning, shocked etched into every muscle as he blinks twice. "Where did that come from?" he whispers before standing up straight once hearing the doors chime open. You smile up at him innocently, adjusting the bag on your shoulder with nonchalance- waiting for him to unlock the door.
You watch as he fumbles for the key in his suit jacket before extending his arm through the doorway, allowing you to enter first before closing the door behind you both and taking your jacket to hang up in the entry way. You look around his organized room, picking up the random papers on his desk before falling onto his made bed and spreading out your arms with a sigh.
Jayce stands at the foot of the bed looking down at you in concern, "Jayce my love," you call out to him while observing his hopeful eyes. "Of course I'm coming back with you... I'd follow after you endlessly," you admit before feeling a dip in the bed as Jayce burrows his face into your stomach, you feel as he shakes his head, "can't believe you, toying with my poor heart," you hear him murmur.
"Would it also count as toying if I said I wanted my ring back?" you feel Jayce frees before pushing himself up and hovering above you. "Really?" he whispers, you can hear a younger Jayce in those words, see it in his bright eyes, feel it in the duvet as he rushes to unbutton his shirt and fish the chain out and over his head.
You sit up in the bed, leaning against the head board and presenting your hand not being able to contain the smile that spreads across your cheeks mirroring Jayce's grin as he slowly slides the band across your finger before leaning down to press a kiss against it.
You squeeze your hands together, closing your eyes to enjoy the moment as you hear laugh to himself in disbelief before hearing him choke into a sniffle. Your eyes flash open looking to see whats wrong watching as Jayce silently cries with a smile, gently shaking his head while staring at you with large hazel eyes that seemingly appear to be made out of gold from the sunlight flooding into the room. "Jayce," you softly call him name, feeling as your own eyes start to burn.
Jayce's eyes closes his eyes once hearing you say his name so sweetly, so full of love that his heart has his head falling to the bed as he grips your knees- posing as if to worship you. "Jayce?" you call out again, combing your fingers through his hair as he continues to quietly cry, "thank you," he says before picking up his head and trying to blink through the tears. You wipe your own away, reaching up to help him wipe them away as he does the same with choked chuckle.
"For what, darling?" you pose back.
"For loving me," Jayce moves his head to kiss your palm, taking a deep breath before continuing, "For allowing me back into your arms, for dealing with every ribbon and string that comes attached with me. For accepting me as enough even when I couldn't see it- can't see it-" You leap forwards and into Jayce's arms, sobbing into his shoulder and pressing a light kiss to his neck.
"Forever and always, Jayce. Until the end and whatever comes after that for us," you promise with a squeeze of your arms and another press of your lips to his skin feeling as Jayce nods, not being able to find the right words for the first time in his life in order to convey the utter relief he feels in this moment, feeling you in his arms, hearing your love in his ears, knowing that you both had finally gotten over the mountain and through every valley to come to this.
You both find yourself crying harder once feeling a cool breeze enter the room- bursting from a loose window and caressing your skin in a gentle embrace. Hello Viktor, you think to yourself, opening up your hand from Jayce's back, Thank you for returning him to me, you feel the cool air seep between your fingers before leaving like it never came.
"What do you think Viktor would think?" Jayce mumbles, playing with the seams on your shirt, you hum, starting at yourself through the mirror above the hotel desk. "I think he'd be happy for us," you respond, placing your hand back on Jayce's back, rubbing large circles with your palm feeling as he lets out a long breath, Thank you, Viktor, for allow me to see this, Jayce thinks to himself, Thank you.

This still hurts. They often say you can fear things so much you unintentionally will them into existence... one of Viktor's fears was being forgotten, not contributing to the world in a way that would make a difference.
And you might say he still went down in history, which is true, in a way, but they remember the Machine Herald. The one person who knew the truth, who knew Viktor, died with him and is now seen as the saviour, as the defender of tomorrow, rightfully so, but the people of Piltover (and Zaun) don't have the full context of those events.
Jayce would hate being the only one credited for their work. He would never have been able to pursue his dream without Viktor. The dream would not have existed without Viktor and Hextech would never have been invented in the first place had Viktor not stopped Jayce's attempt and supported him. That is what happened in the reality Ekko found himself in; Jayce had died and Viktor soon followed because their lives are inextricably bound. There was no cure for his terminal illness with Jayce gone.
Jayce always saw Viktor as his equal on an intellectual and individual level, he saw him as his partner, regardless of his origins and his disability. There is freedom in being seen as a person beyond an illness but seeing someone completely apart from disability, it's easy to lose sight of how deeply they're affected, not just as a struggle or a motivator but as something that completely alters world view. He often forgot Viktor was from the undercity, maybe not consciously, I do believe Jayce was aware of the problems related to Zaun, and the prejudice directed towards Zaunites, but he never quite grasped the full extent of how it affected Viktor. It took Jayce getting disabled and walking a similar path to Viktor's to truly see the world through his eyes, or as close to it as one can get. It took him a fall into the depths of Zaun and a crushed leg, hitting rock bottom in the literal sense of the word, and then having to climb up into Piltover, just like Viktor did, to realise he had unintentionally been overlooking how different Viktor's world was. All those years he had been facing struggles invisible to Jayce and Jayce could never have known because he saw him as an equal, he was still detached from the experience because loving someone with a disability and living with a disability are two things. That is why his words mattered so much. It wasn't coming only from the place of love (whether platonic or romantic that doesn't matter, really, though I'd say it was clear enough) but lived experience.
People's worst fear is often others seeing them the way they see themselves and Jayce did, and it changed nothing. He still loved him the same. "-but you were never broken, Viktor" didn't mean 'You are one of us', it meant 'You are yourself and that's enough, it has always been enough' and there is a difference in those statements. To someone who, despite believing in his work's worth, didn't particularly value himself, there must have been a difference.
The Hexgates were theirs.
You know what I hate? The irony of Viktor teasing Jayce for signing every page of his notes during their first meeting, with the implication that he is afraid someone else might claim his work for themselves, only for Viktor's name to then be erased from the Hexgates documents by the end of Season 2 and their work attributed to Jayce alone.
Like yes, in retrospect, they should have signed every page together, and maybe even put some unremovable watermak on their blueprints so Viktor's involvement couldn't be ignored.

𑑛 “GOLDEN HOUR” ノ SUNDAY. HONKAI STAR RAIL
afab gn reader ノ words 1.2k ᯽ reader is sunday’s personal assistant. secret affair. boss and employee relationship. slow sex after waking up. pulling out. cum swallowing. surprisingly domestic making out. happy sunday :3 ᯽ ADULT CONTENT ノ MINORS DO NOT INTERACT ᯽
“Please, don’t get up yet. We still have some time… I can always explain if you’re late,” he murmurs into your hair, scooping your body closer.
The only reply he hears is just a soft sigh as you let yourself be convinced.
The sheets are messy, crumpled, and you already think how long it will take you to change them because of this delay. As if sensing your mind being preoccupied with something else, Sunday starts smooching you all across your head, getting closer to your face, the feathery touch tickling you here and there slightly until you giggle into his lips and reciprocate the direct kiss.
There are no mornings or evenings in Penacony.
Always an hour set by the clock, and everyone just lives around it. It’s dark behind the curtains of the guest bedroom in his office, but, in all honesty, it’s constantly dark in here, if not counting the dazzling and sparkling, shimmering spectacle of lights of the neons, billboards, lamps and other attractions the Golden Hour can offer.
There’s only one rule here — live to the fullest.
For once, the prim and proper young man tries to apply it to his own routine, risking not arriving according to the schedule to his upcoming meeting just to feel your body close to his own once more.
“I promise I’ll be quick. Well, am I even wrong if I said you’re not against such a welcome after opening our eyes, hm?”
“Hush, now… You always surprise me.”
“How so?”
“Calm and benevolent leader of the Family suddenly acting a little bratty, a spoiled boy who needs his hugs before work.”
He runs his hand across your shoulder, leaving goosebumps where he touches. Then his fingers glide downwards along your side and waist until he cups your thigh and pulls your leg over himself before you can even react.
“Don’t say that.” His voice is buttery soft, a tingle of laugh reverberating at the ending note meaning he liked the joke. “You’re the only one who can see me in such a state. You’re the only one I allow in my bed… and to make scandalous claims about one of the most important figures in Penacony.”
He shifts slowly with the smile — a genuine one — disappearing from the corner of his mouth a moment before he rubs his cock between your folds. The intent is obvious — to have you wrap yourself around him with every limb like ivy.
Resting foreheads against each other, dishevelled hair tangled together and, almost moaning out loud from your intoxicating heat and wetness, he places the tip inside.
“Ah…” you hum sweetly and your whole frame trembles at this movement that was meant as a casual gesture and gets turned into a pleasurable foreplay so easily.
It’s difficult not to rush. He holds onto control tightly, keeps himself contained and careful so much that sometimes it makes you want to see him break out of these walls, come undone completely with passion. This time is no different. It seems as if you could barely hear his heartbeat quickening up against your ear while you press your lips against each other, swallowing little sounds. But he slides into you with caution nonetheless, enjoying every inch of you wrapping around his length.
Slowly, carefully, steadily, he’s making love to you for minutes now. Soft cries die out between ruffled bedsheets along with the quiet, slick noises of his cock dragging through your walls and pulling back in, covered with your juices. The leisurely pace is just perfect for you today — there’s no need for excitement nor to have a shattering orgasm.
Everything is so warm, cosy and satisfying…
And then Sunday picks up the tempo abruptly.
The feeling is so sudden; it catches you off-guard. Your inner walls are hugging him tightly in response to the new, rougher approach, but he doesn’t give up. Now it’s the tip hitting that sensitive spot inside, which sends waves of pleasure all over your body and you have to moan out loud to release the tension.
“I… ha-aah! I thought you decided to take it s-slow!” You pant in surprise and protest. It only makes him chuckle at first as he watches your flustered expression with interest and adjusts your hips slightly to reach even deeper.
“Forgive me this time, will you, dove?”
“Mhm, I should’ve not teased you, then…”
“Exactly— ngh!”
The friction is too much to handle. What he sees is you — a quivering mess — panting faster with your eyes closed shut to deal with it, borders perfection. Your chest heaves shakily against his own one with every huff. But he wouldn’t dare stop again when you’re reacting so intensely, not unless you tell him so.
Untangling your arms from himself before he manages to pull himself up just so he can comfortably reach between your bodies and put his hand on your clit, just above the delicate flesh that now parts with each of his thrusts. You squeal from this stimulation at once and squirm under him, trying to hold on to his forearms.
The tender bud swells even more under his fingertips and Sunday smiles watching your body jerking suddenly and reflexively with every move he makes. He knows exactly how you like to be touched, never turning away his gaze from your reactions.
You’re moaning out loud as if you had no worries about being heard and he wonders if maybe he could make you scream out his name someday — but maybe not yet, not when you two shouldn’t even be in one bed.
Brows furrowing with an upcoming climax, he gives some extra attention to your clit for a while until, at last, there’s no way back for you. His wings flutter, hearing you singing cries of relief and pleasure. You shudder through your entire silhouette; your hole grips on him from the inside and releases him with sodden warmth. Hissing at this, he’s barely able to pull out in time and clumsily crawls up on top of you while fisting his cock above your face.
Ignoring the heatwave rushing down your every nerve, you open your mouth and let him smack the tip over your tongue a few more times before spurts of cum fall right on it. High on the ecstasy of the recent orgasm, your mind goes blank, you let your lover milk the last drops out into your throat whilst you continue to suckle on the very end of his slit.
As you’re coming to your senses and the bliss of afterglow subsides, Sunday begins cleaning you and his own cock up, planting a gentle kiss on your temple with a heavy breath before sitting upright on the bed.
“Would you consider not wearing me down first thing after waking up?“
At first, after hearing your question, he remains silent with a distant smile, stroking your cheek as he continues cleaning your body with wet wipes he keeps on the nightstand.
“Well, just another perk of staying here until late system hours,” he eventually replies, quietly, almost like an afterthought, and then proceeds to gather the clothes for another day. “I’m always waiting to see you come to tell that I should rest. Just so I can hug you and take you to bed with me…” he confesses softly, the same vague, half-amused, half-wistful look in his eyes.
“I see you’re always planning two steps ahead.”
“Unfortunately, not this time. As much as I would love for it to be true, I’m yet to think of a satisfactory excuse for my delayed arrival.”

Low Battery
Paring: Joe Burrow x reader
warnings: depressing thoughts, angst, family dynamics. fluff
words: 1,116
a/n: I typed this out in one straight shot with no previous details figured out so I hope its okay. This is the complete opposite of all of the great and cute Christmas Joe fics everyone has been writing. Hope you all had a great Christmas if you celebrate! But without further ado! Its Christmas Eve, and Joe sees your social battery has worn out for the day.
Your family was mingling with each other, laughing and talking around the kitchen table and in the living room. Your little cousins and niece and nephew were in the playroom, keeping each other entertained with toys. You were sitting alone at the kitchen island, slowly eating the food on your plate. There wasn't any other room for you to sit but you didn't mind. Your posture was slumped slightly, your thoughts turned inward rather than focusing on the party going on around you. Joe, moving away from talking with your dad, turned the corner to see you and he immediately knew what was wrong. Your social battery had run out, and he knew you were struggling with spending time with your family.
You felt a hand land on the small of your back gently rubbing a spot on your sweater. The touch made you smile softly, grounding you and bringing you back to reality. You knew it was Joe without having to look. "Hey." He said softly, glancing at your half eaten plate. The amount of food that had been made from scratch over the past few days in preparation for the party, could have fed an army. Christmas Eve had always been a big deal in your family. But you hadn't eaten a lot. "I'm ready if you are." He hadn't asked how you were because you knew you'd put on a brave face and say you were fine when you weren't. At least while there were others around.
You nodded and picked up your plate to scrap off the food into the trash while Joe went to grab your coats and hats. "Time for us to head home, I've got to start prepping for Broncos game on Saturday." Joe announced towards your family as he held your coat so it was easier for you to put on, and you smiled at him once it was on.
"Thank you for coming early to help with the set up." Your mom chimed in from her spot at the table. There would be no hugs, your family didn't hug or say "love you" unless you were flying and there was a possibly of you crashing and dying.
"No problem at all." Joe smiled and went around to say good bye to everyone while you followed, putting on smiles and hugging your niece and nephew tightly before you made your way through the door and to the car, Joe holding the passenger side door open for you. "Thank you." You grabbed his arm gently and got onto your tip toes to kiss him on the cheek before getting into the car and putting your seatbelt on. You felt like the complete opposite of the confident women you had grown into since being away from home. Christmas hadn't always felt like this, it had been magical when you had been a child.
The car ride home was quiet, Joe didn't force conversation. He did take your hand in his, entwining his fingers with yours as he drove with one hand. Glances he stole in your direction once in a while to see how you were doing. The further away you got from the house, the better you felt.
Being shy, quiet and being a girl in an old school traditional family where boys were valued more, you had always felt somewhat out of place. Like whatever you did, wasn't enough. Your family had never done anything to hurt you, but words were said on occasion that cut you. And any time you tried to do something by yourself without Joe around, they were overbearing. Years of it had taken its toll mentally, even if they meant well. Being the girlfriend of an NFL quarterback, had caused you to adapt to being alone a lot but that hadn't been hard for you since you had lived life on your own most of your life.
But there was guilt that you didn't actually have it that bad compared to some families. You loved your parents and family still, you had good moments with them, but it was draining to be around them. Joe had helped you grow as a person in more ways than one, and during the season you were his rock as much as he was yours on the off season.
Once Joe parked in his garage, you unlocked the front door and took off your shoes, immediately wanting to change out of your clothes and slip into something more comfortable. Joe's excuse to prep for the Broncos wasn't a complete lie, he had had started to as soon as the Browns game had finished. But there were more things he wanted to look at and you didn't mind, it was part of his job and you would support him.
Once you were changed, you went to find Joe who you figured would be in his office. But you almost walked right into each other in the doorway of the bedroom. "What are you doing?" You asked as you noticed he had his Ipad in his hands with a notebook and pencil. "I'm going to study some film while you lie down." You knew by his tone, he wasn't taking no for an answer.
Joe couldn't read your mind all of the time, which is where communication came in. But he was pretty good at noticing what you needed during certain times, and this was one of those moments. It made your heart melt.
"Alright." You moved away from the door to climb into your side of the bed and get comfortable. Joe turned the TV on so he could cast from his Ipad to the tv so it was easier to look at. You loved when he let you look at plays from the other team, his fingers dancing on the screen to manipulate it to freeze and go backwards and forwards as he studied.
Joe noticed you watching and he smiled, knowing you felt better. "You're okay. You're doing good, I'm proud of you always." He reassured you as his fingers ran into your hair for a moment as he leaned down and kissed your forehead. You shifted to snuggle close to him as much as you could without getting in the way of his things on the bed. His words made you tear up for a few moments but no tears actually fell. You put your arm across his lap and smiled up at him. "I love you." Your voice was soft and full of love. "I love you too." He smiled before he focused on his Ipad once more. It wasn't long before you fell asleep, content with the life you had built for yourself.

chapter 1: rebirth
The moonlight illuminated the full expanse of your wings, casting a gleam off their metallic surface. Blades were to be more precise, except they didn’t clang or scratch against each other when you walked. They moved together in one unit, fluid and seamless.
You were draped in a black silk tunic, the hem frayed to shredded ribbons as if caught and torn by your own wings. An opaque, black veil concealed your face, hiding features either too sacred or cursed to be seen. Above you, your halo hung, not golden or heavenly, but a black hole. Its event horizon glowed silver, encircling a pitch black singularity.
A man with matted, dark hair and fatigued lines etched into his face lied before you, half conscious and half buried in pain. A victim, but not in a simple sense. “Victim” implied someone who was in need of saving, and yet there was an agency in his surrender. What did he need saving from? Himself? The burden of his failures, or the world’s? Or perhaps you, a hollow figure of salvation, ready to strip him bare of what little light he clung to.
Stranded in the vast ocean of his problems, he could not conceptualize making it back to shore when there was no clear direction forward. And when the tides finally pulled him under, he hadn't fought the current. Instead, he opened his lungs to the saltwater, letting it fill him until gravity overcame buoyancy, until he was thoroughly poisoned by hopelessness.
But from beneath, he saw it. The silver light of her halo refracting and dispersing everywhere in the water. He saw hope. He saw her.
You knelt beside him. Dark, heavy fog crept in tendrils, not from the thick atmosphere of the forest, but from the body itself. Suffocating shrouds of cursed energy leaked steadily, like rain streaking through a dilapidated roof. A single talon traced the curvature of his forehead, the skin splitting and forming a thin line of blood. A halo of his own. The air around him rippled, cursed energy now seeping heavily from the wound. You drank deeply, drawing his pain into yourself. It was not just sustenance; it was essence. Pain marred so deeply into his soul that it had fused with his being. He had become his scars.
And when you drank his sorrow, you took a part of him that would never return. In his next life, he would be free from that pain, reborn anew, but incomplete. A blessing and a curse. But his pain was neither truly lost or destroyed. It simply transferred mediums, absorbed into your being and wove itself into the fabric of your existence. Every soul you consumed, no matter how disparate their pasts, shared a common thread: isolation. Their isolation became yours and had carved into you until you were no longer whole. You were never meant to be anything more than a hollowed angel, a vessel of pain, feeding but never filled.
The man stirred, a shallow groan escaping his cracked lips. His body convulsed, hacking violently until a single silver feather emerged from the pool of black bile spilling from his mouth. You picked it up and studied it briefly, before sliding it seamlessly into place in your wings. The remnant of a human turned hollow shell. Another piece added to your collection.
──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────
It’s warm. The wordless thought drifted through you, your first in a millennium. Sunlight enveloped your body, coaxing you out of that suspended state of nothingness. Nothingness was not cold or numb; it was absence of being. You had stopped being. Consciousness and sensation vanished for an immeasurable amount of time. Now, the singular warmth that seeped into your nothingness became your everything. There was no struggle to catch it, to hold it close to your chest when being was the only thing you could manage to do.
“She’s here! We found her!” Voices shouted from a distance but didn’t quite reach your newly formed consciousness.
“She’s breathing. Her cursed energy is faint but it’s still there.” Too loud. You curled further into yourself, hoping you could return back to nothingness.
“Gojo was right. The energy’s coming off in circular wave patterns…” Gojo. The name rang like a bell snuffed short. A fleeting thought passed. I’m going to die again, aren’t I? It left as quickly as it came.
“Are you okay?” Now you could hear and think properly, senses returning slowly but surely. You can see me? The words died from your tongue. You stared up at the head looming over you. Bulky glasses didn’t quite fit his narrow, sharp face, but his eyes were earnest and concerned— a look you were unfamiliar with.
You wordlessly let yourself be guided to a… carriage? No, a car, some sort of vehicle you didn’t recognize, but your new body did. Stuffed inside with Glasses and a girl chewing the paper casing of a cigarette, you felt both cramped and overstimulated. You needed space to process the new world, people and technology. Not cages, cars, or anymore voices trying to dig out information that you didn’t have.
Cursed energy, barely there, thrummed faintly, nowhere near the levels of your previous form. It should’ve been only a matter of time before your wings regenerated, but they didn’t. Soon enough, you thought to yourself. Soon enough, you could put the person who tried to reduce you into something weak and powerless into their place. Soon enough, you could summon your halo and become restored—
Except there was no halo.
It had always been connected to you, a branch extended from the trunk of your very being. But now, that connection was severed. Gone. No signal, no pulse, no light. A void in and of itself.
This had to be some sort of mistake. You, a curse, trapped in some helpless, fragile human vessel? It was wrong, wrong, wrong. You didn’t belong in that other frivolous world of non-sorcerers. The whole notion was incompatible, an error of Mother Nature.
A choked gasp left your throat as if you had finally re-emerged from years underwater. Hands clenching and unclenching, you fixated on the crescents caving into your very human flesh. The skin yielded too easily, hot blood rushing to the surface. There were no wings to break free from this prison, no halo to signal your divinity, no powers to bend the world to your will. This was a human body— fragile, mortal, and unbearably real.
Instinct— or was it panic?— finally, finally awakened, bubbling, overflowing, and drowning out any and all thought. Not yet, not again, you barely had a chance to relish the fleeting warmth before it was ripped away from these oh-so-’righteous’ sorcerers. But to you, there was nothing righteous about it. It was terribly, horribly wrong. Hands flew up to the handle, frantically twisting and tugging, but the lock held firm. They trapped you, were going to lock you up, and—
“Sorry, Miss! I locked it so you can’t leave. And it isn’t advisable to jump out of a moving vehicle.”
“I could heal her,” the girl chimed in, her voice light and almost teasing. “But it would be rather inconvenient.” She tilted her head, watching you curiously as if you were a puppy pawing at the latch of its crate.
“Don’t forget that the real reason you came with us was to heal in the scenario that she was actually injured, Shoko.”
‘Shoko’ tapped her chin thoughtfully and nodded her head. “Yeah, you’re right. It was quite concerning that her cursed energy output was very low, even lower than yours.” He flushed bright red and glared while Shoko lazily smiled. You wondered if you were really what they said you were.
──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────
As the car door swung open, sunlight flooded your retinas and made the dull ache in your head throb.
“We can treat that for ya. After we talk to Yaga first,” Shoko offered, holding out her hand.
Your nose scrunched in distaste, a small scowl tugging at your lips. Humans never offered anything without expecting something in return. It didn’t matter if they were sorcerer or non-sorcerer; they were all the same. They take and take, only to give as a means to take more. Nothing was ever free. There were always strings attached, invisible yet tying you to their expectations for repayment.
“Ehhh? Don’t be like that now,” Shoko drawled, yet slightly amused. “Let’s go meet some new people who can help you… though you may not like them very much.”
Before you could protest, her hand clasped yours, and she pulled you up in one smooth motion. Your legs wobbled, threatening to give out beneath you. But Shoko steadied you, her grip firm and supportive.
She walked you through the gates, her arm linked through yours so you wouldn’t fall. Someone was waiting, had been expecting your arrival.
“Huh. So you’re the little shit that blipped onto my radar.” Your head jerked backwards, the voice all too familiar. Bells rang, distance couldn’t snuff them out. Harsh sounds, memories, and feelings reverberated, stirring something deep inside you, a visceral urge to detonate. Black fumed the edges of your vision. Smoke from the fire he flamed. There he stood, hands planted firmly on angled hips with that cocky smirk you couldn’t wait to claw off his face. You ripped yourself free from Shoko’s hold and lunged.
You were going to kill Gojo Satoru.
──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────
Wings slashed against the small infinity that divided you and Gojo Satoru, a ripple the only sign of impact. He sauntered closer and snatched the torn veil from your face. He dangled it above you with an amused smile and teleported back before you decided to vortex him into a black hole.
“Not the best fashion statement, but it gets the job done blocking out the light.” He ripped the fabric in two and tossed it behind him carelessly as if it were a dirtied napkin. “You’re kinda cute behind all those layers… surprisingly.”
He liked to do that a lot, you noticed. Liked to provoke you, get some sort of reaction you were hiding behind that damn veil. The worst part was that it worked. Your nose scrunched cutely, to Gojo at least, and he could admire how your cheeks were flushed red because you couldn’t put a dent on him.
Gojo hated how elusive you were, so unlike any other special grade curse he’s slaughtered before. He hated that instead of lashing out and destroying everything in your path, you pretended to be dignified when curses didn’t have dignity. He hated waiting for your next feeding cycle when you finally showed yourself after months of starvation since you knew he’d hunt you down. He’d relish tearing apart your ‘dignified’ front, cracking that flimsy shell and wrenching your soul out.
You laughed, which clearly startled Gojo. He’d never imagined it to sound so hollow, he didn’t know what to expect in the first place. He thought you, your exterior to be precise, was flimsy and spineless! But he didn’t comprehend the magnitude of years and souls sacrificed that solidified your armor. You already knew what he wanted, his plans for you, and you weren’t going to let him have it.
Sneering, you yanked razor-edged feathers from your mass, ignoring how they cut deep into your flesh. You closed the wound without a second thought, but even you weren’t resistant to your own lethality.
“Cursed technique lapse: Bypass.” Feathers shot forward, penetrating only the first layer of his barrier. And that was enough. Force compounded against the rest of Infinity, and the barrier caved inwards. A single point of impact, the weight of Infinity crashing directly into Satoru himself, like gravity collapsing in on its own star.
It was totally unfair how gracefully he tumbled down and quickly he picked himself up.
As another barrage of blades came in an onslaught, his eyes immediately dimmed to a flat blue-grey, Limitless shutting off. He side-stepped casually. You flicked two fingers left, and the feathers followed suit, turning a sharp 90. But Gojo was quicker. He disappeared just as the blades plunged through where he was standing.
You should’ve known it was coming, really. You just didn’t expect it to be so soon.
Pain crackled along the limbs of your wings, nerves screaming in agony as they were uprooted into Blue.
“Still think you can fight me with those?” Gojo teleported behind you. His fingers traced the scapula where skin was seamed with metal. You staggered backward, flinching as a chunk of metal clattered and disintegrated on the ground. The rest of your wings sizzled and eroded.
“My wings—”
“—are a liability,” he interrupted. “They make you an easy target. You can’t hide anymore.”
Your wings were the reservoir of your power, the physical manifestation of the pain you had consumed. Your curse energy dwindled. You tried desperately to summon your halo, but there was nothing, the unyielding flow of energy now a stagnant void.
“You’re still standing,” Gojo smiled widely, ecstatic. “I’d love to watch you fall for me.” He already decided your fate: he’d make you crumble with his own hands.
A sickening snap.
Brute force wrenched your wings upward, metallic blades screeching like nails on glass. Pain erupted down your spine as he twisted the wing further. His grip was immovable, and he drank in the sight of hot and thick blood dripping and pooling onto the ground.
“You’re weaker than I thought,” he said calmly. He tore the wing free, sending shards of cursed metal scattering.
──────⊹⊱✫⊰⊹──────
A scream erupted from your lips.
A single phantom wing unfurled behind you as you lunged. It doubled the length of your arm, grey, opaque, feathers lacking the metallic sheen of your former power. Branching from the wing’s carpal, jagged claws dripped with an inky, viscous substance. It dissipated before it could hit the ground.
It went past Gojo’s Infinity, his entire body, without any resistance. There was no impact. Phantom. Then his chest caved under the force, muscles and bones cracking as the blow tore through him. His chest buckled and ribs splintered, as if his own body were being bent and broken from the inside. Phantom. There was no tangible entity that applied that brutal force. THE TRAGEDY O3: casual
Osamu lies on his back with his phone held above his face. She’s really laying it on thick.
She flops onto his bed beside him, laying flat on her stomach. She tilts her head up to look at him. "Whaddya think?" she asks. "Believable enough?"
"Yeah," Osamu replies, closing his phone screen and dropping it on top of his chest. It's so believable, he can't control the way his chest tightens, how his gut churns and lurches. He knows it's fake, but it might be the closest thing to real that he's going to get, so he lets himself indulge. "You sound annoyingly in love."
She flips around, lying on her back to match Osamu. "Well, it helps that I am. It's not really acting."
It's not acting for him, either. He meant it when he announced to the world how pretty he thinks she is. Fuck, man, is his best attempt to put how he feels about it into words. Osamu breathes in deeply through his nose. He doesn't look at her, because he doesn't trust himself to.
In a way, it's kind of a relief. He has the opportunity to say how he really feels, for once, and not face the brunt of rejection. Some of the weight off of his shoulders, none of the humiliation.
"Try not to lay it on too thick," he tells her, partially for her sake, and partially for his own. "The more you act like you love me, the weirder it'll be for you to move onto Tsumu."
"Hmm," she muses. "Okay, that's fine. We can just be casual, then."
If Osamu had his choice, it wouldn't ever be casual. She would be his, and that would be it. He doesn't know how to be casual with her. He doesn't even know how to pretend.
"Yeah," he agrees uneasily, "casual is best."
->extras!
yn and osamu spent the night watching movies and hanging out in his room; they slept in the same bed. yn thought nothing of it and osamu kept waking up with fear and excitement in his heart
osamu has his face in his hands because he's realizing he vastly overestimated the vibes between him and yn and she was 100% right
people do mostly view them as really close friends and have sibling-zoned them and he is devastated
atsumu saw osamu's tweets and yn's tweets but did not put it together that they were talking about each other that's how platonic he perceived them to be
yn and atsumu were extremely close in high school and even though they've definitely remained close friends they're not as close as they used to be
for a while atsumu was actually pretty jealous of osamu because he felt like he stole yn's friendship from him
much to think about.........
yn and suna are good friends but they don't have the closest dynamic
akaashi and yn were complaining about the fact that there wasn't enough decor in the apartment so tanaka got a framed painting from the thrift store to hang up in the living room
but he accidentally hammered a hole in the wall trying to hang it up
free my man tanaka he didn't do anything wrong
akaashi and kenma are texting each other constantly abt the fake dating plot they cannot believe it

Request: Heyyy!
I saw that you were requesting some fics, I was wondering if you could do a Trafalagr Law fic where Y/n or You has a flavored lipgloss gloss (any flavor), you could take it any direction you want!
Thank you and have a nice holiday!! ❤️
citrus | trafalgar d. law
➳ categories: canonverse, gender neutral reader, established relationship
➳ warnings: slight nsfw (detailed kissing)
➳ word count: 1.1k
➳ summary: Law isn't a fan of your flavored lipsticks and glosses when he tastes the flavor of Japanese plums, but you think you just found an alternative.
➳ notes: thanks for the request! ❤️ law canonically doesn't like umeboshi (pickled japanese plums), but for the sake of the fic, i made him a fruit hater ☠️ happy holidays, everyone!
➳ cross-posted on ao3
Before you began dating Law, you didn't expect him to be the many things that he currently is to you. To start, Law presents himself differently in front of many people that his attitude in dealings pretty much boils down to who he's talking to. As once a stranger to his crew, you saw a side of Law that was meant for business, a side of him so serious and monotonous that over time, became bothersome to deal with.
Yet you persisted through his seemingly dull personality until one piece fit into the other and you decided to date.
A relationship so sweet yet so unexpected, you learned many things about Law that he never would have thought of telling you, things about him that he always kept secret, locked inside his heart or his thoughts. Things that he could only say to his closest friends, others only for the ears of his lover.
That is to say, before you began dating Law, you didn't expect him to be a kisser.
He kisses you all the time, but the depth and length of his kisses vary. On some days, he would peck your lips. On others, he would peck your cheek. On most days, he would take his time kissing your lips. He can't help it—he scored a goal by dating you, and it gives him the peace of mind that he's the only one who can kiss you the way he does.
As much as he loves kissing you, however, there is one thing that deters him from doing so on rare occasions.
Your lipgloss.
He can explain—he generally has no problem with you and your cosmetics, secretly even liking it when you kiss him on the cheek and your lipstick leaves a faint mark on his tan skin, but he does have a problem when he kisses your glossed lips and tastes the faint flavor of fruit, some of them which he likes, some not so much. You love wearing different pigments on your lips, different products and brands that make your face look much more colorful, more full, so you often rotate among your collection of lipsticks and glosses, each one surprising your boyfriend whenever you greet him with a sweet and colorful kiss.
Law loves that you feel beautiful in your own skin to wear all of the makeup that you do, but he has a great distaste for some of your lip products. The flavored ones, to be exact. He's not a big fan of fruit (ironic, he knows, since he's literally a doctor), so he freezes up whenever he kisses you and tastes the flavor on your lips. You always make sure to tease him whenever he does so, calling him a big baby for not liking the taste.
"Oh? What's with the long face?" You once picked on your boyfriend as his lips flattened into a tight line after a short kiss. Law usually smiled afterward.
"You taste like plum," he said. Your eyebrows furrowed.
"Sad about it, are we? You hate my lipgloss?"
"It reminds me of that pickled snack Bepo eats." He shrugged, a chill running down his spine upon remembering the taste of Bepo's strange snack. Umeboshi, Bepo called it. Law could never get past its sour and salty flavor.
From that day onward, you would dodge Law's kisses whenever you happen to be wearing the ume-flavored gloss on your lips, often choosing to send a flying kiss toward his way as an alternative. When you visit Sabaody Archipelago, however, an idea comes to mind.
With the Polar Tang docked somewhere in the outer groves, you bid them goodbye as you make your way to Grove 30 for the island's shopping mall, where you stumble upon a vast selection of cosmetics. Eyes shining brightly, you indulge yourself in retail therapy as you blow your money out on the finest products you could find. When you walk past a stall vending a particular item, you halt in your tracks and come running back.
A lady sits behind the stand, her features telling of her youthful age. She smiles as you point at the array of lipgloss on the table, and urges you to swatch them out on your hand.
"That one's flavored," she says matter-of-factly as you hold a yellow tube in one hand. You read the printed label. Lemon.
"Do you have anything else?" you ask.
"I've got a lot to show you!"
As the lady disappears under the stand to rack for the new line of glosses, a smirk forms on your lips, the pit of your stomach turning in excitement.
When you come back to the Polar Tang, your excitement is apparent to your crewmates who wonder where you've been. You provide them with a giggle in response before you skip happily to your Captain's quarters.
You knock on the door. Law grants you entry a few seconds later.
"Miss me?" you tease him as he steps aside to let you in. You drop your bags to the ground, while he crosses his arms over his chest.
"Where have you been?" he asks.
"Just went shopping, like I told you."
He shrugs. He doesn't think much of it, assuming that you just had a few hours of fun to yourself before you set sail again. His hands drop to the side when you approach him for a kiss, your hands gliding across his chest before encircling his neck.
Before you can kiss him, however, he stops you abruptly.
"I smell something," he notes. He sniffs the air and looks at you questioningly. "It smells good."
You bite down on your lip discreetly to keep yourself from laughing. "How does it smell?"
"Like citrus," he answers. "Is that... you?"
Standing on your tippy toes, you move your face closer to his.
"Find out for yourself."
Law leans into you when you successfully catch his lips, his eyebrows jumping upon tasting yours. He notes the citrus flavor that he detected just a few seconds ago and almost scoffs at your little ruse. Expecting him to pull away, you sigh in relief when he leans further down to deepen the kiss, his hands coming to rest on the small of your back.
Law tugs on your upper lip slowly, eliciting a moan from the back of your throat. He swipes his tongue on your lower lip to taste the flavor of lemon, and repeats it so often until you're losing your breath.
Pushing away, you gasp for air.
"So? Do you hate it?" you ask breathlessly.
"No, I'm into it," he mumbles, pulling you in closer. "Another one, please."
The pit of your stomach stirs in need as he holds you intimately close. You peck his lips and pull him to the other side of his quarters, laughing to yourself at the turn of events.
You guess you just found your default lip combo. Law liked it more than expected, after all.

lay all your love on me 24
jj maybank x heyward!reader
<- previous next ->
"y/n come on, we're gonna be late if we keep waiting on you!" pope calls from outside your door. you roll your eyes at that, putting on one more swipe of mascara.
"stop rushing me! i just need like two more seconds!" you call back as you apply your lip liner and lip gloss. you give yourself a final once over, making sure you look decent before grabbing your sandals and sliding them on as you hobble over to the door.
when you open it pope is still standing there, arms crossed over his chest as he shakes his head. you stick your tongue out at him before taking the steps two at a time to meet everyone else outside in front of the twinkie. sarah wasn't feeling well today, so it'd just be you, pope, jj, cleo, kie, and her girlfriend lex going to the party at the boneyard today. sarah and john b were sitting on the front porch when you got out there, so you stopped to talk to them.
"hey guys. are you two sure you don't want me to stay home? i wouldn't really mind." you ask as you stand in front of them. sarah waves a dismissive hand at that.
"yes yes, we're sure. besides, you have more important things to worry about." she says as she and john b wiggle their eyebrows at you. sarah was pregnant so you couldn't exactly hit her, but you sure as hell did give john b a good punch in the shoulder before walking away.
ever since you and jj had fallen asleep together outside, the pogues would not leave the two of you alone. i mean, it's not like it meant anything. just friends helping each other out. friends who had been doing a lot of... hanging out lately. the kind of hang outs that felt like dates. but they weren't! jj was just trying to make up for being an ass. in a very rom-com way. but still! the two of you were just friends. much to your dismay.
you all had been at the boneyard for about 3 hours now, and it was really starting to crank up. not that you could really focus on that, though, because you had spent basically the whole time running and hiding from jj.
"y/n, would it really be that bad to talk to him?" aubree asks as rafe comes back with her drink. rafe immediately wraps an arm around her, and you get the sense that that should make you upset or something but it doesn't. you've both moved on for the better.
"obviously. don't wanna embarrass myself. besides, he seems a little... preoccupied at the moment." you say as you tilt your cup in his direction. he's currently talking to some girl that went to school with you guys- her name was like, ashley or something? doesn't really matter, what matters is the fact that she has jj's full attention and not you.
"aww, are you jealous because he's talking to other girls?" kiara asks teasingly, causing lex to elbow her in her side.
"i am not jealous. if he wants to talk to other girls, he's very free to. it's not like we're dating or anything." you say as you take a sip of the beer you'd been nursing since you got there.
"but you want to be." rafe says. it's a statement and not a question, which makes you even more frustrated with all your friends. why couldn't they just butt out of your love life?
"i'm leaving." you say, walking away quickly before any of them could poke fun at you again. as you're walking towards the water you hear someone calling your name, and you turn to see jj jogging towards you. just what you needed, great.
"hey, y/n! haven't really spoken with you since we got here." he says once he catches up with you. you force a smile on your face as you try and come up with a response.
"yeah, sorry about that. to be honest, i'm not really in the partying mood tonight." you say with a shrug. "i'll probably head home soon, anyways."
"you're gonna walk all the way back home by yourself?" he asks as he shoves his hands in his pockets. it's a nervous habit of his that you've always found cute, but you can't help but wonder what could possibly be making him nervous at the moment.
"yeah. don't wanna ruin the fun for everyone else." you say with a light chuckle as you kick up some sand.
"i'll walk with you." he says as if it's the easiest decision he's ever made.
"what? no, jj. you stay, i'll be fine." you say quickly. "you love parties."
"yeah, but i'm not really feeling this one. 's kinda lame." he says with that boyish smile of his. god, he's making this really difficult.
"alright, fine. if you insist." you say as you toss your empty cup somewhere. (sorry kie!)
"lead the way, m'lady." he says as he tips an invisible hat at you. you roll your eyes, shoving him gently. he just laughs, seeing as your little push didn't do much in the way of moving him.
the walk back home is pretty much silent, save for the late night sounds of the town. you almost wish that it could be like this forever, the two of you just enjoying each other's company. but there's this thing that keeps floating around in your head, and no matter how hard you try you just can't seem to rid yourself of it.
"so, i saw you talking to ashley earlier." you say so quietly that jj didn't hear you. "the two of you looked pretty cozy."
that causes jj to stop walking, looking at you as if you had grown three extra heads. "huh?"
"you and ashley. the two of you were talking at the party. are you into her? it's totally cool if you are. i mean yeah, she was kind of a bitch to us in high school but i'm sure she's changed-"
"and they call me the oblivious one." he says with a chuckle. he was looking around as if he thought he was being pranked.
now it was your turn to be confused. "what?"
jj looks at you for a moment, almost as if he was studying you. "y/n, do you honestly think i'm interested in any other girl besides you?"
had you drank more beer than you thought? was it actually beer in your cup, or had you been drinking something else the whole time? because that was the only logical explanation for what you thought you just heard. "huh?"
jj smirks, taking a step closer to you and using his finger to push your chin up. "close your mouth, mama. wouldn't want bugs getting in there would we?"
you couldn't believe it. had jj really said what you thought he said? "i'm sorry, could you repeat that please?"
"i'm in love with you, y/n. have been for a while now. and i know that i acted like a total fucking asshole about the whole rafe situation, and there will never be enough time or enough words for me to properly apologize for that, but i want to be with you. genuinely. in fact, i don't think i've ever been so serious about something the way i'm serious about you." he says as he gently takes your hand in his.
"b-but, you were talking with ashley and it looked like-"
"i was talking with ashley because i was buying something from her. something for you." he explains as he reaches in his back pocket and pulls out a braided bracelet. he slides it onto your arm, making sure it's secure before removing his hands so you can get a proper look at it. it was fairly simple; peachy colored thread holding up a bead with the letter j on it. "i was gonna give it to you when i asked you to be my girlfriend."
"i don't know what to say." you whisper, still in awe. you hear jj laugh at that, and when you look up he bring a hand up to cup your cheek.
"just say yes, y/n. say you'll be my girlfriend." he whispers as he brushes his thumb across your cheek.
"yes, jj. i would love to be your girlfriend." you say with a smile. the biggest smile you'd ever seen broke out across jj's face, so big you're surprised his face didn't split in half. he brings his other hand to the other side of your face and pulls you in for a kiss. it's a lot more gentle than you would've expected from someone like jj, but you wouldn't have it any other way. his lips were soft, almost cloud like and he tasted like cheap beer and his favorite spearmint flavored gum.
you honestly couldn't tell how long the two of you kissed for, but you didn't want it to ever end. unfortunately the two of you needed to come up for air and when you did, jj pressed his forehead against yours.
"i love you too, jj." you say, pressing a small kiss to the tip of jj's nose. he smiled again, but this time it was charged with something else, something you couldn't quite put your finger on. but if you had to guess, it was somewhere between love and admiration.
"good. now let's get you home." he says as he grabs your hand, lacing your fingers together as the of you finish the walk back home.

pls do something for pau based on d1e with a smile by bruno mars 💞
Die with a smile 𖦹 Pau Cubarsí !
summary. pau was dared to kiss you under the mistletoe, which, you’d agreed to for the sake of it all. but, maybe the kiss meant a little more to pau, and maybe, you as well.
word count. 1.56k+
disclaimers. fluff, confessions, just pure adorableness
bea speaks! merry christmas to those who celebrate, and to those who do not, i hope whatever you are doing today is special and you have a fantastic day <3
The casual night, where your friends group always celebrated your ‘friends-mas’, was going greatly. Laughter filled the room constantly — when you weren’t telling old sappy stories, that is. You’d played many trivia games and charades, which was your favorite.
The lights in the room were dimmed, mostly lit by the Christmas tree and fireplace to add a cozy feel to the room. It was the house of one of Pau’s teammates, Héctor. Which, you’d actually all helpend decorate with his mother along with a few of the girls.
As the group sat in the living room, and you were busy in the kitchen, making more hot coca, of course someone had suggested truth or dare—that’s when things got out of hand.
“You have to do it!” Your friend, Elisa, exclaimed, pointing in Pau’s direction.
“I don’t have to do anything.” Pau shot back, his head shaking as he laughed nervously.
When the boy’s head shook once more, Lamine intervened. “Don’t be boring, man.”
They’d all just dared him to kiss the next person to stand under the mistletoe—knowing deep down it’d be you, considering it was placed under the door that would be the one you’d have to walk through to get into the living room. Instigators, all of them.
In that moment, you’d begun to walk towards the room. To your misfortune, or possibly luck, you paused under the door, your eyebrows furrowing in confusion at the looks you were receiving.
Smirks, amused laughs, and a fidgeting Pau, had you—well, on edge. When your best friends eyes nervously flickered up above you, you leaned your head back, coming face to face with the green mistletoe.
Right.
“Come on, it’s tradition!” Alejandro spoke now, a taunting tone to his voice. “It’s no big deal!” He groans, nudging the boys arm.
Trying to ease the situation, you chuckle lightly. “If he’s too scared, I understand.”
The brunettes head snapped up at you, his eyebrows pulling together. “I’m not scared.” He said that, though the blush spreading across his cheeks told a much different story.
“Oh?” You nod, lips curled into a teasing smile. “Then get up. My arms are staring to hurt.” You lift the two mugs of coca in your hands, giving him a look that said, ‘just do it.’
His cheeks flushed a deeper shade of red but there was a flicker of determination in his eyes as he stood up, flattening his hoodie before making his way to you. The room fell silent, everyones eyes widening slightly.
Sure, they all knew you two liked each other, and that something happening between you two was inevitable. But, they hadn’t actually expected you to agree to it, much less for Pau to go ahead with it.
“Alright.” Pau sighed, stopping just inches away from you. “Only if you’re okay with it.” His heart beat quickened in his chest, but no matter how badly he did want to kiss you; he wasn’t going to do it if you felt pressured.
Your chest tightens at his sincerity, “I am,” you had to whisper, your brain short circuiting when his eyes flickered to your lips. Your grip tightened on the mugs in your hands when his tongue darted out to wet his lips.
“Good.” He murmured, hands lifting to gather your face in his hands before his head dipped, tilting to the side before his lips brushed against yours. The world fell away from the both of you as you became lost in the kiss. It was soft, warm, and though it was meant to be a short peck, neither of you pulled back right away.
When you did though, the room erupted into cheers and whistles, but you hardly noticed.
You laugh, feeling heat rise to your cheeks. “I really need to set these down.” You lift the mugs into his view, and the boy swallows hard, taking a step back.
“Yeah, you do that.”
The night seemed to carry on normally, but something had changed.
After the kiss, Pau returned to the couch, pretending to focus on the game as his friends teased his mercilessly. You’d tried to brush it off too, laughing at the jokes, diving back into the game. But every so often, your gaze would fall back onto Pau, meeting his eyes every time. You’d send him a small smile, to which he’d force one back before looking away with pink cheeks.
“Okay, what is happening between you two?” Elisa whispered, leaning into your side while everyone’s attention was on Lamine, since he was being asked the next question.
Turning to her, you let out a short laugh. “Nothing.” You insist, though your quickening heart beat and light pink cheeks was surely betraying you.
“Uh-huh.” Elisa smirked, “sure. Keep telling yourself that.”
As the night dragged on, the room began to thin out. People grabbed their coats and started trickling toward the door, the festive energy giving way to the quiet stillness of a snowy night. You grabbed your purse and jacket, joking with Elisa as she gathered her things. She was your ride home, so you chose to sit behind with her as she stuffed extra bags of cookies into her bag.
"Ready to head out?" she asked.
"Yeah, just a sec," you replied, glancing over your shoulder toward the living room. Pau was standing by the tree, pretending to busy himself with fixing a crooked ornament while Héctor babbled about something his friend clearly didn’t care to know about. But when your eyes met again, he motioned for you to wait.
You waved Elisa off with a promise to catch up and turned back to him. A small smile formed on your lips as you met him half way, leaning against the door frame as you waited.
“Hey.” He said softly, stepping and stopping only a foot away. The soft orange glow of the fireplace lit up the side of his face as he leaned against the wall beside you. His usual confidence giving way to a bit more vulnerable look. “Can we talk for a sec, before you go?”
“Of course!” You say, a bit too quickly—your heart beat skipping in your chest.
Pau glanced around, as if to make sure nobody was watching. Of course, Héctor was. The second Pau’s eyes landed on him though, the curly haired boy quickly looked away, busying himself by pretending to examine the tree’s lights. Rolling his eyes, Pau looks back to you.
“Uh, about earlier..” He scratches the back of his neck, letting out a short breath, “the mistletoe?”
You tilt your head and feigning nonchalance, “What about it? It was just a dare.. right?”
His eyes catch yours and he gives a nervous laugh, “yeah… no? I mean—no. No, it wasn’t.. not to me. Not really.”
You could either scream or faint. You weren’t sure what one to choose, honestly. Your breath catches in your throat and your head feels dizzy. “Uh—for sure. Or, wait. What do you mean?” You squeak out at the beginning, but force yourself to remain cool and collected.
Pau exhales, looking down at his intertwined hands for a moment before he meets your gaze again. He grips his hands together tightly as he speaks, “I.. I like you. A lot. And when I—“ he pauses, internally cringing at what was about to come out of his mouth, “when I kissed you, and you kissed back like that.. I thought maybe there was a chance you maybe possibly felt the same?”
By now, Pau’s hands were shaking and his words were scrambling together. He could hardly bring himself to look away, scared that if he did, the sweet smile slowly growing on your lips would just be a figment of his imagination.
The soft hum of Christmas music played in the background, the only thing breaking the silence between you two. “You could’ve said something before, y’know.” You tease, but your voice was quieter now, softer.
“Yeah, well,” Pau starts, his lips curving into a sheepish smile, “I didn’t want to ruin things. You’re my best friend, and I was scared it wouldn’t be reciprocated.”
Taking a brave step closer, your heart pounded in your chest as you spoke, “you don’t have to be scared.”
His eyes searched yours, hopeful, but still unsure. “So… does that mean..”
You smile, lifting a hand to straighten his collar and brush off fuzz from his shoulder. “It means… we’re under the mistletoe again, and I think you should stop overthinking.”
Pau’s breathing faltered, his gaze drifting above you two. The mistletoe. Right. He grins, his confidence gaining as he looks back to you before leaning in, his hand brushing against yours. This time, the kiss wasn’t part of a joke. It was real—soft and warm, and full of everything he’d been holding back.
When you pulled back, your lips still hovering near each others, Pau laughs quietly. “Merry Christmas.” He whispers, sparkling eyes finding yours.
You smiled back, feeling lighter than ever. “Merry Christmas, Pau.”
“About fucking time.” The annoyed grumble coming from Héctor snapped you both out of your trance—heads whipping in his direction with a glare. “Well!” He shot his hands up defensively.
When you eventually did leave—not that you wanted to anymore, your heart was full and you couldn’t stop smiling. Definitely the best Christmas gift you’d ever received.

Truthfully, you never understood how fans would pass out at the sight of their artists but then last year you saw him… In absolute awe as you saw him up on that stage, being so close felt so surreal and suddenly you understood those fans as you became lightheaded as he just walked by.
After being a fan for years, never thinking you’d get to see him perform live… Somehow you didn’t cry but after the fact, you cried so bad as you felt overwhelmed with many emotions that you didn’t completely understand. Being able to hear him sing live, his voice so much more sweet and lovely in person with his dancing somehow looking even better in real life… Something in your inner teen felt healed by the experience. He truly shined on the stage and seeing it with your own eyes you were in utter awe.
Being a sunflower since the Neocity: The Origin tour and only getting to see him for the first time at The Dream Show felt bittersweet. You remember watching the content from that tour almost religiously as it gave you some comfort and always made you smile. Seeing how he was gifted sunflowers by fans then and with every tour in every country, slowly you wished for that to be you. You were never good with words, a gift was always the best way to express appreciation for you. And then it was you as you calculate the toss of the sunflower you held all night onto stage to make sure it doesn’t cause issues with him or any of the other members.
He sees it and then he somehow knows as he looks back and smiles at you for just a second before he goes to pick them up. Your legs shake under you as security approaches you to tell you to go back to your seat. Only months later, watching your concert videos back do you notice how his smile appeared brighter that night after the fact. Only did you realize perhaps the head pat he gave out as he said goodbye to your side of the stage was possibly meant for you by the way he looks in your direction.
And then, here you were again only with send off this time. Somehow you found yourself at the barricade in a sea of other fans that chatter as they waited for the boys. You felt nervous but knew you’d managed to be able to talk to the other members but if you could actually get words out to Haechan, would they be coherent? That was the question.
While in your own world, the door opened and the room filled with screams as they came out single file. Every member looked around to wave and smile, the very last member being him… He looks so sweet as he smiles and his eyes are filled with a light as he kindly greets everyone he sees. When he turns, you feel petrified as you feel his eyes lock with your own. You feel the world slow just like you did in the moment you tossed those flowers to him months ago… His smile seemed to drop and in turn, you felt your heart drop. There’s no way…
Then you see him swiftly move pass the others to get to you. Oh shit…
He points at you and an even bigger smile is seen as he stands on the other side of the gate as a simply says, “Sunflower?”
For some reason, your mind instantly went he must be talking about the clip in your hair which you reach up to run your fingers over. How stupid were you to think for a moment he’d remember you?
“Oh, yeah!” You laugh, nervously. “I’m a sunflower.”
“No.” He shook his head. “You gave me sunflowers last time I was here...”
“Oh!” You managed to say, now well aware of how you shook. “I’m so sorry about that. I-“
“No. It made me very happy!”
He smiled at you. Oh my, how you looked so sweet towering above you and how you were not crying you don’t know. Yet, what he said was all you wanted to know…
“I’m so glad…” You admit. “How do you remember me?”
“You left…” He struggled with the right word. “A memory? You laughed about it after and you hid whenever I looked at you.”
You do remember laughing at his security as they came up to you. It was also true whenever he looked your direction you’d hid behind the girl in front of you. He even tells you he didn’t expect it from someone who seemed so shy.
“Where’s my gift today?” He asked. “You didn’t throw it up today…”
Without much thought, you reach into your bag to pull out a letter which you hand to him. He looks around before he sneaks it under his arm as security’s focus is elsewhere. Before he goes to others, you ask for a photo and he quickly signs the photocard you have of him.
“What’s your name?” He tilts his head a bit and you actually feel weak by it as he looks at you.
“Whatever you want it to be.” You shrug.
It gets a laugh out of him as well as the others surrounding you.
“For now, I’ll call you sunflower girl.” He nods as he finishes signing the photo card in his hand before handing it back to you. “Every time I see you, I look forward to a gift from you.”
He smiled before he winked and walked down the line. You didn’t fully process that until the girl beside you gave you the video. You don’t remember how long you screamed into your pillows for. It’s not like he had to tell you that, you would’ve ended up doing it anyway.

Your tags make me want to read Price getting to pat Nik. Please? 🥺
Nik's hair is a reflection of his character.
cw: none (partly inspired by a post by @panchulien with a young Nik and Price).
Price had realised he was obsessed with Nik's hair quite early on. When they had met, it had been a harsh buzz cut; a number two all the way over at the very longest, with a clean shaven jaw. It hadn't suited him. Not even in his blue uniform and cap. His eyes were too warm for the austere, minimalist impression the rest of him was trying to communicate. It was like his internal conflict had manifested in his physical appearance; the severe officer battling the warm-hearted Russian patriot.
After Price had "liberated" him, or rather, encouraged him to turn informant and cut his own path towards liberation, Nik had grown his hair out. Price remembered seeing him for the first time after freeing him from the detention centre in which his own government were going to execute him. Nearly a year had passed, and Nik's hair had grown into an unruly mane. Close to a mullet, but with erratic, thick black curls paired with roguish facial hair. He had reminded Price of a musketeer or a Renaissance poet. The sombre misery had been replaced by an almost manic charisma.
That had suited him. It set off the wildness in his eyes. But that wildness had manifested in other, more dangerous ways. Price and Nik had fed off of each other's anger and their penchant for violence in those early days. When they were on op together, their lack of boundaries had led them to dark places; Nik, without direction or purpose beyond point and shoot, and Price with a chip on his shoulder.
Price had watched those thick curls fall across a blood smeared face after Nik had beaten a man to death with his bare hands more than once, the crooked smirk that followed revealing a flash of something raw and in pain beneath the surface. They crossed lines, violated boundaries and codes of ethics, telling themselves it was for a higher purpose that not even they had much of a handle on.
Mac had tried to keep them apart. Had warned Price away and told him to get a grip. Dogs that bit the hand that fed them were put down eventually, one way or another. But Nik had been intoxicating. His rage completed and complemented Price's in the worst and best ways.
Nik needed to heal. They both did. It took years. Years of dancing around each other, of finding the limit of what they would do for the "greater good", working out what that even bloody meant in the first place. They carved out their own morality, separate from the hypocrisy of the institutions that had made them, and slowly, slowly, the rage, the bleeding wounds, inside Nikolai had healed. Price had fallen in love with that wild, uncontrollable maniac, and he had stayed in love with him once he had found enough peace to stop his own self-destruction.
Price sat across from him in the little boat they had hired for a tour down the River Oder. Nik had wanted to show Price Wrocław, the Venice of Poland. Twelve little islands connected by over a hundred little bridges, with one of the biggest markets in Europe. Nik had spent the morning dragging Price down side streets to find some of the three hundred odd little bronze gnomes scattered throughout the city. "To commemorate the Orange Alternative movement," Nik had explained, his big hands gesturing expressively towards the Gothic Town Hall, tone excitable and boyish, "they used absurdist humour to protest against communist rule in the eighties."
Nik was at peace now. Nearing his fiftieth birthday, his hair was receding into a deeper widow's peak, smoothed back and neat, with slight curls at the back and beneath his ears. His stubble flattered his jaw and Price liked raking his nails through it when they kissed. Not too wild, not too austere. A perfect balance that reflected the equilibrium in Nik's heart.
"John?" Nik asked, his eyebrows raised. "Is everything okay?"
"Yeah, comrade," Price said, flashing rueful smile. "Just thinkin' about old times."
"Ah." Nik scratched up his bare forearm to the fold of the sleeve at his elbow. "Well then," he picked up his glass of krupnik and Price did the same, "to old times."
"And all the good times to come, cheers." Price knocked back a mouthful of the liqueur and grimaced. "Jesus fuck, Nik, this shit is fockin' 'orrid." He tipped the remainder of the glass overboard. "Could murder a man for a decent stout."
Nik rolled his eyes. "You take the Englishman out of England, but..."
Price kicked his shin lightly. "Yeah yeah, Mr World Wide. I'm a simple man with simple tastes, not all of 'em good."
"Oh, I don't know," Nik hummed. "You are dating me after all."
And there, just for a moment, was a flash of that wild, curly-haired man that had first stolen Price's heart in the devilish little grin on Nik's face, and Price's blood ran hot in his veins.

Shield of Love - Pedro Pascal.
The early morning sunlight peeked through the blinds, casting soft golden patterns across the hardwood floor. You were curled up on the couch, scrolling mindlessly on your phone. Pedro walked into the room with two cups of coffee, his presence always grounding, always warm. He smiled as he handed you one, but there was something slightly hesitant in his expression.
It wasn’t new, this subtle tension. Lately, he had become a little more overbearing, always holding your hand in public, shooting warning glances at any man who so much as smiled in your direction. You adored Pedro—he was your rock, your comfort—but it had started to feel stifling. You knew he meant well, but it was time to address it.
“Pedro,” you started softly, placing your coffee down on the table. He glanced at you, his brow furrowing slightly.
“What’s wrong, cariño?”
You hesitated for a moment, searching for the right words. “I’ve noticed how… protective you’ve been lately. I mean, you’re always protective, but it feels different now. Almost like you don’t trust something—or someone.”
His face flushed immediately, his dark eyes darting away from yours. He sat down beside you, his knee brushing yours. “I—I don’t know what you mean,” he stammered, the tips of his ears turning red.
You tilted your head, giving him a knowing look. “Pedro, I’m not upset. I just… Is it jealousy? Or are you worried about something I don’t know about?”
He sighed, running a hand through his hair, a nervous laugh escaping his lips. “It’s not jealousy,” he mumbled. “It’s just… you’re younger than me. Not by a lot, I know, but enough that it makes me—” He cut himself off, shaking his head.
“Enough that it makes you what?” you pressed gently.
“Worried,” he admitted quietly. “Worried that people will judge you, or us. That someone will think they can take advantage of you. You’re my baby, and I just—I want to protect you from everything.”
Your heart softened at his confession, and you reached out to take his hand. “Pedro, I don’t need you to shield me from the world. I chose you, and I’ll keep choosing you, no matter what anyone else thinks.”
He looked at you then, his eyes glassy and full of vulnerability. “I’m sorry,” he murmured. “I didn’t mean to make you feel suffocated. I just love you so much, and sometimes I don’t know how to handle it.”
You leaned forward, brushing a kiss against his lips. “I love you too. But you don’t have to handle it alone. We’re a team, remember?”
He smiled at that, his usual confidence returning as he pulled you into his arms. “A team,” he echoed. “And I promise, I’ll ease up. But don’t think for a second that I’m not going to keep calling you my baby. Because you are.”
You laughed, burying your face in his chest. “I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
In that moment, all the tension melted away, leaving only love and understanding in its place.

Cut Off
[warning for binge drinking and references to self harm]
He didn't know what to think when he saw the scars on his arms. He knew they were there but he never brought it up. He wasn't good at handling situations like that. He wasn't good at comforting others, he never has been. Not even when he was Sans.
And then Blue pointed out some of them seemed to be recent given that they weren't as healed as the others.
Instantly, he knew what caused those scars.
That argument they had. After he stabbed through his soul.
He avoided Killer as much as he could for about a whole week afterwards until they made up.
IT’S YOUR FAULT. YOU MIGHT AS WELL HAVE CARVED THOSE YOURSELF.
Horror seemed to come to the same conclusion. He stared at Dusk knowingly. He sighed and carefully put a shirt on Killer along with his usual jacket.
They weren't going to bother with changing his pants, comfort be damned. They've already intruded enough on his personal space.
Afterwards, Blue asked Horror to have a private talk with him in his room and that he’ll have one with Dusk after.
It was puzzling, but Horror went with him anyway, leaving Dusk alone with Killer.
It left him some time to ruminate, specifically about his relationship with him.
He stayed crouched down by the couch Killer was sleeping on.
They never labeled what it was—Killer seemingly didn't think of their relationship as anything special, which is what spurred that argument in the first place. Considering Killer's apology and the new scars on his arms, that couldn't be further from the truth.
It's true that initially it was casual. The kissing, the drugs, all of it was just to get away from everything.
Their horrible living circumstances, Nightmare, their guilt—those nightly meetings warded them off even if it was for just a little bit.
At first it didn't matter who the other person in the room was. It didn't matter who they were smoking with. They weren't…Killer wasn't thinking of him when they kissed. Initially.
And then it stemmed into something more, after the night they agreed to quit it with the drugs. Now they did matter to each other. The whole reason they hung out at night had changed. They liked each other's company. They liked each other.
Yet being trapped under Nightmare's grip evaporated any hope for a proper relationship. Killer always avoided talking about their relationship too—but Dusk didn't see that as the main problem.
But now they're somewhere new. Somewhere safe, hopefully.
SOMEWHERE YOU DON’T DESERVE TO BE.
They could have a proper relationship now, he supposed, but diving into one immediately—living with each other—was starting to seem like a bad idea.
He cares about Killer a lot more than he ever expected to, so he wanted to do this right.
But what would that even entail? Was that even possible for them?
He studied Killer’s sleeping face. He didn't exactly look peaceful. He cupped his face with a hand. He felt him lean into the touch.
At least in their current states, he doubted it.
IT’LL NEVER HAPPEN. DO YOU THINK EITHER OF YOU CAN GET BETTER? AFTER EVERYTHING YOU’VE DONE?
Horror walked into the room a few minutes later. “you're up,” he said.
Dusk looked at Killer, but he was still asleep.
“no, i meant it's your turn to talk to him.”
Dusk rolled his eyelights and stood up. He walked into the hall even as Horror was trying to tell him where Blue’s room was located. He didn't need directions, it was pretty obvious with the light to his room being the only one that was on in the hallway.
Besides, he also had a concerningly easy time locating monsters in general, but that wasn't relevant in this specific instance.
He opened the door, which startled the skeleton inside.
His sockets widened. The room looked so similar to Papyrus’s, but it was off. While the layout was the exact same, the color of the carpet was different, the figures on his table weren't the same, and his bed looked like a rocket-ship instead of a car.
SEEMS FAMILIAR.
“Oh my god, I didn't realize my room would throw you off. Sorry,” Blue fretted. He was currently sitting on his bed with a clipboard and pen in hand. Seeing him in the room instead of Papyrus grounded him a bit.
Dusk waved his hand dismissively. It was fine.
“Please, take a seat.” He gestured to the stool in front of his bed. It was kinda funny how professional he was trying to be despite the setting.
He sat down.
“So…I want to preface this by assuring that you and the others are not getting kicked out of the hub. I just wanted to talk to each of you one on one to properly sort things out. The hotel room you and Killer are staying at is actually a temporary place to stay before we build a permanent home. My question to you is: do you want to continue to live with Killer?”
Blue managed to ask the one question Dusk wasn't sure how to answer. He ended up staring at him blankly.
“This choice isn't permanent of course, you could always change your mind.”
It was mostly Killer’s choice to live in the same hotel room. He went along with it without complaint. They were used to living in the same building after all. It was comfortable, but it might've been too comfortable.
If they continued to live with each other, would they even find any motivation to go outside? He doubted Killer would.
YOU WOULDN’T EITHER.
Finally, Dusk shook his head.
Blue quickly jotted something down. “Alright. Um, another thing I wanted to mention. I don't know anything about what you guys went through when you were under Nightmare’s captivity, but I know it must've been rough—and I’m not exactly licensed—but if you need someone to talk to I’m available.”
Dusk looked at him blankly. It clicked for him that the torn-up coat Blue was wearing was a lab coat. This guy was a wannabe doctor.
His silence only made the other skeleton nervous. His eyelights darted from side to side as he waited for a response. When he didn't get one he cleared his metaphorical throat and went on, “What I mean to say is, I’m a therapist—again not officially, but it's not like I can get licensed anymore—but that's besides the point! I got a PhD in psychology, so I have the knowledge…Okay maybe I forgot some of it…Most of it. Sorry, I’m rambling.”
Dusk perked up. If this guy had knowledge in that field he could probably help Killer better than he could ever. That was a pretty big “if” considering his questionable qualification, but Dusk knew with how things were now, he wouldn't be able to provide the support Killer needs. He was hardly keeping it together himself, he couldn't provide comfort for him for much longer without being dragged down too. For lack of a better way of wording it.
Hell, the only reason he's been keeping it together was out of pure stubbornness to make sure Killer was okay. He couldn't keep that up for long, that was for sure.
If they were going to live on their own, Killer would need someone else to support him.
OR ELSE HE’LL KILL HIMSELF.
can you not.
He glared into Blue’s eyelights. Did he really want this guy to be the one to do it?
Who else would it be? Horror?
Hell no. He's also got enough to deal with on his own.
“you can help?” he asked.
Blue’s sockets widened. “I…like to think so?”
That wasn't the most confident answer.
CAN YOU BLAME HIM? IT’S HARD TO HELP SOMEONE WHO DOESN’T DESERVE IT.
shut up.
“watch over killer.”
He watched Blue’s grip on his pen tighten.
“Okay,” he said.
No, he wasn't satisfied with that. He needed to be sure.
“promise me.”
Blue blinked in surprise, before a look of conviction crossed his face. “I promise. I promise I’ll keep him safe.”
LIAR.
He wrote something down again. “Um, is there anything I could do to help you?”
Dusk was about to shake his head, but then he thought of something.
HEY.
“medication.”
“Oh um, I don't have access to any medication…what specifically did you want them for?”
He pointed at the side of his skull.
Blue cocked his head as he tried to understand. “Headaches?”
…Well that was a problem too but not the one he was thinking about. He shook his head.
“Uhh, hearing? Do you have a hard time hearing or—no wait, that wouldn't make sense, are you having auditory hallucinations?”
Honestly he wasn't sure if the voice in his head was a hallucination or something else. He knew it wasn't actually Papyrus. Though that did take him an embarrassingly long time to figure out.
I AM PAPYRUS. YOU JUST CONVINCED YOURSELF OTHERWISE BECAUSE YOU CAN’T FACE IT THAT I HATE YOU.
Yeah, that wasn't Papyrus, but he still had no clue what this was. He shrugged.
“If they're hallucinations, antipsychotics could probably help. It doesn't always work though…but I probably wouldn't be able to get you any in the first place and I’d have to make sure they're hallucinations first,” he rambled. “What are you hearing, exactly? If you don't mind me asking.”
DON’T TELL HIM. YOU ALREADY SEEM INSANE ENOUGH AS IS.
Dusk’s hands gripped his arms as he curled into himself as much as he could on the stool. He didn't want to speak anymore, but he had to get this out.
DO YOU? IT’LL ONLY PUT YOU IN DANGER.
He pointed at Blue’s clipboard.
“Oh! Do you want to write it down?” Blue put a clean sheet of paper on top before handing it along with his pen over to Dusk.
He hesitated before writing down the first word, but once he started the rest was written quickly. He handed it back for Blue to read before the dumb voice in his head could protest.
The look on Blue’s face shifted as he read. His eyelights flicked up to Dusk as he continued and then he put the clipboard down off to the side. He covered his mouth with a hand as he processed what he read. Blue was looking everywhere but at him. It seemed he couldn't bring himself to face Dusk anymore.
I TOLD YOU THIS WAS A MISTAKE.
“That's…that's horrible, having to deal with that, I’m sorry,” he said.
Dusk didn't expect sympathy. He just told him that he killed his own brother and he was plagued by his voice ever since. If anything—
YOU DESERVE THAT.
Blue’s voice got quieter, “i—i have something i need to confess.” He clasped his hands together tightly. “I already knew that you killed your brother.”
Dusk’s sockets narrowed. He curled his hands into fists but he remained seated.
Blue had the gall to shut his sockets, “I know more than I should about you and the other two. You saw the book with my notes. I wasn't sure if any of you actually read through it, but there's an entry on other versions of you guys. They're not exactly the same as you, so I don't know exact details but I know you and Killer have…murdered a lot of monsters.” Once he finished talking, he finally opened his sockets. He hesitantly looked at Dusk.
HE KNOWS ABOUT ALL OF YOUR SINS.
That only made his actions more confusing.
“why are you trying to help us, then?”
It seemed Blue wasn't expecting to be asked this question because all of his anxiety washed away and was replaced with exasperation. “I told you guys already that I want to. I get that it's hard to trust me when you hardly know me but can't you suspend your doubts at least a little bit? Sure, you've hurt a lot of monsters, but that's no excuse for you to give up on ever being good again. Everyone can—”
“don't finish that sentence,” Dusk said.
Blue’s breath hitched as he was interrupted. “right, sorry.”
Everyone can be a great person if they try. That's what he was going to say.
Of course the person trying to help them is so similar to Papyrus. It was a cruel joke, really.
Well, this wasn't exactly a joke. It wasn't funny in the slightest.
Blue cleared his throat, “After I finish talking to Killer, I’ll take you all to your new homes in the Hub. If you don't have any questions that will be all. I'd appreciate it if you told Killer to come over here.”
Even if he did have questions he was frankly too preoccupied with the upcoming conversation he was going to have with Killer. So he simply gave him a nod and got up to walk out.
Once he got to the living room he saw that Killer was awake. He’ll never get over how Killer lights up whenever he sees him. It was—he wasn't used to it.
His brief exchange with him was awkward. He sighed once Killer went over to Blue's room. He didn't mention anything about living apart yet. He probably should've done so before sending him over, but he wanted to put it off for as long as he could.
Which isn't for long at all.
He sat on the couch next to Horror, dreadfully awaiting when he’d return and he'd have to explain everything.
At first he thought Horror was going to be mercifully silent, but after a minute of silence he spoke up.
“so, are you and killer still gonna share a room?”
Dusk threw his head back against the couch with a groan.
“i’m taking that as a no. good for you.”
Dusk glared at him.
Horror shrugged. “what? i’m being honest. it is good for you, and probably killer. you two are…” he trailed off trying to find the right word, “hazardous, together.”
“you think so?” Dusk signed frantically.
Horror raised a brow bone. “is that sarcasm?”
Dusk fell back against the couch again, deflated. Hazardous? That was one way to describe their relationship. How many injuries have they caused each other?
It was to let off steam, was the excuse they had, but considering the scars was it just another way Killer would hurt himself?
The thought made him sick.
HE’S USING YOU.
What did that even mean at this point?
He couldn't answer.
“so me and papyrus are gonna move into our own house, separate from the rest of the guys. it's gonna be weird getting used to living with him again.”
Showoff.
THAT’S NOT SHOWING OFF. YOU KILLED ME! THAT WAS EASILY PREVENTABLE!
It wasn't that simple but he has a point. He gave Horror a thumbs up. Good for him.
“i’m mostly saying that just in case you come over to visit me. i know it's hard for you to be near him, so.”
Dusk let out a half-laugh half-hum. How weirdly considerate of him, and about Papyrus nonetheless.
Back when Horror learned he and Killer murdered their brothers, he was furious towards them. The only reason he interacted with them was out of self preservation, and even then it was rare.
Maybe being tormented by the same being was the easiest way to bring anyone together.
Or maybe he just realized he wasn't really qualified to judge them after all he's done.
If they wore each other’s shoes they’d find they’d do the exact same thing. It’s funny how being the same person works.
Either way, it's surreal that they're friends now. Though, he kinda thought he’d stop being so friendly once they got away from Nightmare.
“anyway, how are you gonna tell him?” he asked.
He didn't have the answer to that, so he shrugged.
Horror snerked, “dude, seriously?”
“what would you say?” he signed, moving his hands in a stilted manner.
“you really gotta brush up on sign language, i can barely understand you.”
Dusk clenched his hands shut in silent annoyance. He wasn't wrong. His sign language was horrible. He was only going off of what he remembered from past resets, and even then he only took the time to learn it in timelines where they reached the surface. Which were very very distant memories.
“just be upfront. it's not like you two have to live with each other. ‘sides, he’ll be fine on his own.”
Dusk leaned his head forward and gave him a skeptical look.
“probably…” he added without much certainty.
He dreaded the conversation to come. That dread didn't dwindle at all when Killer entered the room and swore at him.
Horror fled the room immediately. Which was fair, but he would've appreciated some support.
He didn't even say anything yet and Killer was already on the verge of crying. His voice cracked as he yelled, usually Dusk found his voice cracks amusing, but now it made his soul twist.
He brought up a point Horror told him. Only for him to panic even more.
LOOK AT HOW MUCH YOU’RE HURTING HIM. IS THIS YOUR REVENGE ON HIM AFTER HE CALLED YOUR RELATIONSHIP A JOKE? WAS HIM CUTTING HIMSELF OVER YOU NOT GOOD ENOUGH?
He didn't want to hurt him. This wasn't revenge. He didn't want to hurt him!
HE KNOWS YOU HATE HIM.
He cared about him!
He loved him!
The words came out of his mouth before he realized it wasn't the best time to say them. It was a horrible time to confess, Killer was already overwhelmed.
That was the first time he said “i love you” to him.
He needed him to know how he felt. He needed him to be sure that they were splitting out of necessity and that he didn't hate him.
“we need to spend some time apart,” he said.
Killer started hyperventilating. God, he was shaking. It looked like he was going to fall over at any moment.
THIS IS WHAT YOU DO TO HIM. YOU’VE MANIPULATED HIM. NOW HE CAN’T STAND BEING WITHOUT YOU.
YOU’RE AWFUL.
YOU GAVE HIM THOSE SCARS.
Dusk hugged him, hoping it would calm him down.
Killer immediately clung onto him in return. His hand tightly gripped his jacket, desperate to keep him here.
He tried explaining why they had to be apart.
“dust, please, i’ve already been alone for too long!”
Dusk moved his hands to his shoulders and pushed him away so that he could look at his soul.
It looked the same as it did that night when they decided to quit doing drugs; it was jagged and changing frantically.
He didn't know what it meant exactly, but it didn't mean anything good.
Just like his soul, his face was a mess. He was crying. He thought he was mad at him for calling him “Dust”. He didn't even notice he did.
It hurt to see him like this, but that probably didn't compare to what Killer was going through.
It’d be worse if they stayed together. They wouldn't be able to leave their room. Why would they, when they had each other? No, he didn't want to live like that. It was going to be hard adjusting to a new life and meeting new people but they needed to.
YOU DON’T DESERVE TO.
Things will be better for both of them.
They just had to rip off the bandage first.
That whole conversation was worse than anything Nightmare’s put them through.
No, being overtaken by that parasite was worse, actually.
Either way, it ended up being motivation to go outside once they got back to the Hub. Only for him to b-line towards Grillby’s once he found it.
Once he walked into the place deja vu rushed through him. It looked the exact same as his Grillby’s, the only thing that reminded him that he wasn't in his universe were the patrons.
It was a lot more packed and it wasn't just the usual Snowdin residents that were here. Luckily, because it was so packed, no one paid him any mind when he walked in.
If this was his universe, everyone would greet him.
As he walked towards the bar he noticed that the establishment wasn't the exact same—because it seemed to be double the normal size.
That was the only noticeable difference so far, though.
Grillby himself looked the same, he was also cleaning a glass like he usually did whenever he had some downtime.
Feeling bold, he took a seat at the bar, not many people were sitting around here anyway.
Grillby looked at him, waiting for an order.
And then he realized he didn't have any gold on him. Maybe this Grillby would also put up with a stupidly long tab.
It was weird seeing him again. Fortunately, he's gotten used to seeing different versions of monsters he's killed. Even though they looked the same there was something off. It was like he could tell they were from different universes.
However, this Grillby didn't feel off to him at all.
He didn't need anything fancy to drink so he just ordered a glass of beer.
Grillby gave it to him without a word, which was typical of him.
He tried drinking it slowly at first, trying to seem casual and then he threw that out the window once he realized he didn't really care right now. He wanted to get wasted.
When Blue took them back here, both he and Horror accompanied Killer to his room. Horror practically dragged the skeleton over to his room with how unresponsive he got after their conversation ended.
Then when they said their goodbyes, Killer wordlessly clung onto his sleeve until Dusk pulled away.
Grillby refilled his beer, thank god.
He downed it immediately.
This is only temporary.
Another glass, actually, Grillby brought him two more. He knew he could always rely on him.
They’re not even that far apart from each other. He knows where he lives. He can visit at any time.
Another glass down. The fake Papyrus in his head has gone quiet already.
As his hand grasped the other glass of beer, someone sat down next to him.
“S-SANS?”
Dusk nearly spat out his drink, instead he choked it down, causing him to go into a coughing fit.
“SORRY FOR STARTLING YOU! I THOUGHT YOU WERE SOMEONE ELSE!”
He looked over at the person next to him. Oh god yeah, that was a Papyrus.
Why did this one seem so familiar?
He wasn't even wearing his battle body. He was wearing casual everyday clothes.
He looked a lot more rugged than usual with heavy dark circles under his sockets.
This one had LV.
“it's fine.” Is what he wanted to say. Instead his tipsy mind only managed to say “you real?”
He looked so nervous. “I DON’T SEE WHY I WOULDN’T BE?” He squinted at the glasses on the counter. “HOW MUCH HAVE YOU DRANK ALREADY?”
Dusk looked over to count, but he was distracted by the fact he was currently holding a whole bottle of beer in his hand, apparently. He turned his attention to Grillby, confused.
“...” Grillby looked as blank as ever.
“THAT ISN’T AN EXCUSE TO GIVE HIM SO MUCH ALCOHOL!” Papyrus responded. He pinched the bridge of his nose bone and shook his head in disapproval.
What the hell was happening?
Maybe drinking like crazy wasn't a good idea in a completely new world. Ehhh he didn't really care. Oof, his eye sockets were getting heavy.
A nap sounded real good right now, actually. Consequences be damned, he propped his head against the counter and dozed off.
“HE DIDN’T EVEN ORDER FOOD, DID HE?” Papyrus remarked. He knew this Sans wasn't literally the one from his universe, but the second he saw him he knew he was from a similar one.
Obviously he was from a universe where he didn't die by his hand.
It was shameful, knowing that Papyrus never stooped low enough to harm let alone kill his own brother. He was a horrible brother.
As much as Grillby would insist he did what he had to in order to protect the other residents of Snowdin, he still regretted it deeply.
Seeing a version of his brother that probably succeeded in his task didn't change his mind on that at all.
Speaking of Grillby, “I KNOW YOU RECOGNIZED HIM BUT YOU CAN’T JUST GIVE HIM ALL THIS,” he gestured wildly at the group of empty glasses by the sleeping skeleton, “LIKE YOU’RE TRYING TO SEDATE HIM! YOU KNOW HE ISN’T THE SAME ONE.”
Grillby adjusted his glasses even though they were already straight and grabbed one of the cups to start cleaning it.
“I KNOW IT’S WEIRD, THAT DOESN’T CHANGE MY POINT.”
“...”
“I CAN’T JUST WAKE HIM UP THAT’S RUDE.”
“....”
“I’M GOING TO STAY HERE UNTIL HE WAKES UP SO I KNOW HE’S FINE, OBVIOUSLY.”
Grillby paused his glass-cleaning to procure a shot of warm milk for Papyrus.
“I AM NOT PAYING FOR THAT,” he said, before snatching it up and downing it as if it were whiskey.
Grillby gave him a quizzical look.
Papyrus lowered the volume of his voice, which wasn't by much, “Of Course I’m Not Perturbed By Seeing Such A Close Replica Of My Brother That I Brutally Put An End To.”
Grillby got back to cleaning the pile of glasses.
“IT IS JUST A YOU PROBLEM ACTUALLY…SORRY, THAT WAS RUDE. STILL YOUR PROBLEM, THOUGH. THIS SKELETON NEXT TO ME IS A COMPLETE STRANGER, WE’VE NEVER MET HIM,” he said with total confidence that he didn't have.
At the Hub, it was expected to run into other versions of people you knew, but it was basic etiquette to treat them as strangers. You do not assume anything of them because you've never met this version before. Unfortunately, that was harder to uphold when they were from such alike universes.
It wasn't unusual for loved ones from different universes to settle for you if you were similar enough.
Fortunately for Grillby and Papyrus, they didn't really have to deal with that, being the only people from a “Dust” universe to live in the Hub.
But now this Sans is here.
When Dusk finally woke up, the bar was near closing time.
And the Papyrus was still here—oh never mind he bolted out the door the moment he moved.
He sluggishly moved his head towards Grillby, who was probably waiting for him to leave too so he could close.
“sorry,” he slurred. He put a hand on the counter to support himself as got off the stool. He reached into his pockets for gold that wasn't there. Oh yeah.
“my bad, i forgot i didn’t have any g.”
Grillby waved his hand dismissively, or he was shooing him. “...........It's fine.”
Dusk blinked in surprise. “thanks, i’ll uh, bye.” He gave a quick wave before walking quickly out of there, or at least he tried to. He ended up bumping into multiple tables and chairs until he tripped and fell down before he could even make it to the door. He doesn't know how long he napped but clearly he was still drunk.
He stayed on the ground for a moment, internally hyping himself up to stand.
He heard Grillby walk over. Ah, great.
At the very least he managed to flip himself on his back to look up at the fire monster.
For a moment, it felt like he was back in his universe and this Grillby was the one he knew, but he knew he couldn't be. He killed him along with the others.
Although Grillby had an unreadable face—because he didn't have one—Dusk was able to get a good idea about what he was feeling by looking at the pattern of his flames.
Either being drunk skewed his perception or he was reading it wrong, because from what he was seeing, Grillby was concerned for him.
He knew this look well, especially after he started remembering past timelines all of a sudden. Whenever he drank to stop thinking, Grillby would look at him exactly like this and then he'd offer to help him get home. Sometimes he'd try asking what was up. Which was completely in vain.
Usually this was the part he'd kill him.
The two of them stared at each other in silence. They were off script. They didn't know who was going to make the next move.
Until Grillby decided to take the lead. He knelt down by Dusk. His hands reached out to him slowly, ready to draw back if Dusk said anything.
Dusk’s mind unhelpfully insisted Grillby was about to strangle him or something. He stayed still regardless.
Grillby paused and his hands retreated. “...Why are you here?” He stood up.
“had a bad breakup,” he said. It wasn't really a breakup since they were never formally together, but they did separate so that word probably applied to the situation.
Grillby’s head briefly flared up. That could mean a multitude of things so he didn't want to bother assuming what it meant.
“GOOD LORD, HE HASN’T LEFT YET?” Papyrus's voice startled the two as he opened the door. Apparently he hadn't left the vicinity yet. “HONESTLY, OF ALL MONSTERS TO WALTZ IN HERE AND GET BLACKOUT DRUNK…DO YOU EVEN HAVE ANYONE THAT COULD WALK YOU HOME?” He remained outside, only peeking his head in through the door to be heard.
Well Horror probably could, but he had no way of contacting him. He did get that phone. He wasn't sure if he still had it on him and even then he didn't have the number or a phone.
That's a no.
Dusk shook his head even though it was hardly visible to the Papyrus.
Papyrus sighed dramatically. “FINE. AS A RESPONSIBLE CITIZEN I SHALL ACCOMPANY YOU TO YOUR ABODE TO ENSURE YOUR SAFETY.”
“i’ll take my chances sleeping on the sidewalk.”
“YOU CAN’T EVEN GET TO THE SIDEWALK ON YOUR OWN.”
“i guess my chances aren't looking too good. my doom is cemented. maybe even set in stone. just leave me here.”
Papyrus groaned at the puns. “I AM GOING TO GO OVER THERE AND PICK YOU UP AND THEN YOU ARE GOING TO DIRECT ME TO YOUR HOUSE, UNDERSTAND?”
“mmmm no.”
Then he was picked up by warm hands. Oh, Grillby picked him up. He walked him over to the door and was handed over to Papyrus.
The second the two were outside, Grillby hastily closed the door.
“the fuck happened to snowdin?” he asked.
Papyrus huffed, “WE AREN’T IN SNOWDIN.”
He took note of the sky. It was sundown. “we made it to the surface?”
“NO.”
“oh.”
“DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHERE YOUR HOUSE IS?”
“shouldn't you know?”
“I’M NOT YOUR BROTHER. YOUR BROTHER IS DEAD. YOU KILLED HIM,” Papyrus said coldly.
Man, his mind was scrambled. For a second he thought there’s been a reset. What timeline was this? No he was kidnapped by Nightmare—and then they were kicked out…Oh yeah. This is the “Hub” or whatever.
He drank way too much.
“i didn't want to…”
“I DIDN’T EITHER! BUT THAT DOESN’T CHANGE IT, NOW DOES IT?!”
He hasn't heard Papyrus get this mad in a while. Wait. “what do you mean you ‘didn't either’?”
Papyrus came to a halt. “IN MY UNIVERSE, I KILLED YOU.”
He may have been drunk out of his mind, but even he knew that didn't sound right. “you wouldn't.”
“WELL, I DID.”
“you can't.”
“CLEARLY I CAN.”
He couldn't even kill the human. How's he supposed to believe he would ever kill him?
“you can't kill the human but you killed me, is that what i’m hearing?”
Papyrus grit his teeth. Despite the conversation, he was still carrying him. “KILLING THEM WASN’T GOING TO STOP THEM. KILLING YOU DID. AND IT WAS AN ACCIDENT.”
“you never have accidents with your magic.”
“YOU DON’T KNOW ME. YOU AREN’T MY BROTHER! YOU CAN’T JUDGE ME ANYWAY.”
“...you can put me down now.”
“YOU’LL FALL ON YOUR FACE. NO.”
Alas, poor Papyrus. It wouldn't matter how much he reminded himself that he wasn't the same Sans. They were so similar to each other's brother.
And he didn't even remember where his new house was. If this turned out to be a torture method that Nightmare came up with, he wouldn't be surprised.
“so what, you're gonna aimlessly carry me around until you happen to find my house?”
“I GUESS SO!”
Of course.
He resumed walking, Dusk decided to accept it. It was an excuse to be lazy. Even though he hasn’t been “lazy” in years.
Then again, he hasn’t been carried by Papyrus like this in years.

A/N: Oh hey, we made it! It's the last day and what a fun it was ^^ I really enjoyed discovering writing for "new" characters! Hope you guys survived the holiday season safely :D
‧₊˚✧ 18+ Minors Do Not Interact ✧˚₊‧
༺☆༻
“Ugh, I'm so fed up with them... I should execute them all!” Michael sits down in his armchair with a thud and dramatically props up his forehead in one of his hands. For the past week, the lower demons have been apparently causing nothing but trouble and the executioner seraphim was usually the one to have to deal with the fallout of the situations.
“Aw, what did they do this time?” you look up from your book, laying on his bed. It was rare to see him in such state, but in the past week it's happened so often, that you'd gotten used to it.
“Argh! Those sheep fully messed up the recipe for the grand dinner and somehow managed to open a portal to Hell in the process!” Michael quickly raises his head and directs his angry, piercing gaze at you. You think nothing of it, because you know it's not actually meant for you.
“Oh, but you've dealt with it and nothing bad happened, no?” closing your book, you get up to walk over to the seraphim while trying to calm him with your words.
“Yeah, but I wasn't even the first Seraphim to be there! When I got there, Raphael was already there and egging them on to actually open it!” Michael's fist comes down to slam into the armrest and his other grips onto the upholstering so strongly, his nails leave scratch marks in the cream fake leather.
“Aw, that sounds rough...” you sigh, now standing behind the seraphim and comb your fingers though his silk hair, knowing he enjoys it.
Michael only growls in response, but leans into your touch. The wing growing out of his neck slightly twitches as you hit a knot in his locks.
“Well somebody's a little tense... Would massage make you feel better, Mich?” you almost whisper as you move his long ebony hair out of the way.
“Nngh... Please...” he grunts and readjusts in his seat, seemingly letting go of all his previous anger.
His muscles are very hard to touch, but soon enough your expert hands manage to relax them as well as the angel himself. You know this is not the time to be thinking such things, but the way Michael reacts to your every touch and sighs in appreciation, you can't help but start to feel a bit heated.
“Hmm, how do you feel now? Still angry?” you hum, more to yourself, but the seraphim still picks up on it.
“Uh... Hm, yes! I'll make them suffer once I finish here.” the relaxed expression on his beautiful face is quickly back to angry one, albeit less than before.
“Oh? Well... I might actually have a way to relax you even more then...” the accidental double-meaning of his words spark your attention and fully make you give in to the thoughts popping up in your mind.
Slowly circling the armchair with the angel in it, you come to stand above him between his slightly spread legs. With a gentle hand you cup his cheek and affectionately run your thumb over it, “Would you be interested, Mikey?”
A slight blush appears on the seraphim's cheeks at the nickname and he mutters:” I told you to not call me that... But sure... Do your best...”
And with that you sweetly chuckle and lean down to kiss his soft lips before starting to lower yourself down onto your knees. Michael catches up to your actions fast and his eyes widen in shock of your sudden boldness.
To him, it was rare to see you on your knees even for a prayer let alone for him. Perhaps it's the season of miracles after all?
Michael's pants are really easy to undo, which you've come to find out firsthand over the year or so that you've known him, making it really easy to get to what hides underneath.
You don't take him out right away, but rather choose to tease him over the white fabric until you see a wet spot forming on his thigh. The material of his pants is so nice to touch, you don't fear getting a fabric burn from running up and down his very long half-hard dick. The fabric is so soft you can't help but nuzzle your face into his clothed thigh, making his cock twitch at the sensation of your face and the pants rubbing against his sensitive skin.
“Haa~... Y-Y/N!” the seraphim mewls out as your fingers circle the tip of his erection, making the wet spot spread further.
“How about this? Feeling better now?” you can't help but smile while teasing further.
“Nngh... M-more...N-need more...” his blue eye is clouded over with lust and the blush on his cheeks is as obvious as ever.
You hum in response and finally pull his heated cock from his pant leg, marvelling at how pretty it is. The flushed tip proudly twitches in your hands as you slowly blow cold air on it. The sound of ripping leather reaches your ears, telling you how much is Michael holding back.
Deciding that you've teased him long enough, you finally lean in and start gently sucking his tip, going as far as you can go without gagging. Your hands start stroking the rest of his length, that you have no chance of fully taking in without dying in the process of some serious throat training.
“H-nnngh~!” the seraphim lets out a loud moan as his eyes roll into the back of his head. His thighs flex and relax on each side of your head from how much he has to hold himself back from instinctively starting to to thrust into your mouth.
Only a few minutes in, when you look up at the angel, you can see from the furrow of his brow that he's getting dangerously close. To his credit, it has been a while since you two had the time for yourselves with how busy the celebration preparations made you.
“Nyaah~! Y/N! Y/N! Y/N!” Michael chants your name as if it's a prayer while he finally finishes into your mouth and accidentally also on your chest a bit.
“Hm... How are you feeling now? Still in the mood to decapitate some angels and a seraphim?” you swallow all the last remains of his cum in your mouth and cheekily ask.
“Hah... Ugh! Like I said: I'll finish up in here and get to it.” the anger is back as Michael attempts to catch his breath.
You can't help but sigh. And you really thought you sucked him silly this time. Oh well, there's always the next time.
༺☆༻
But wait, this angel also has a gift for you!
"My brothers are laughable to think that I'd allow anything get close to you. Here, take this wand enchanted with the power to command my angel units."

→ EVENT OVERVIEW
prompt: 17 - “hey, look at me.” characters: narumi gen (kn8) x gn!reader contents: nsfw mdni !! birthday blowjob, a bit of masturbating, cum eating, whiny!narumi yummers (but he gets serious towards the end mhm) wc ~ 800
a/n: @greyrain23 GREYY ILYT THANKYOU FOR PARTICIPATING AND THE SWEET WORDS !! posting this on narumi’s birthday as a present for u and other nrm kissers (cough cough danyl) hehe hope u enjoy it <3 and here’s your order for slice two (your little selfship trivia is so cute btw !! me luv !!)
the continuous beeping of a virtual world fills the room, comical and wacky in a way it extremely contradicts the other activity happening in the room.
narumi sits in his office, slouched over his desk as his fingers continue pressing away the many buttons on his gaming console. “oh shit,” he curses for the nth time, his leg jerking and you have to reign in the smile from growing lest your teeth accidentally make their appearance.
it’s one of those rare times where narumi deems it… optimal for him to be sitting on his desk chair while playing instead of the futon he’d often lay out in the middle of the room, saying something like he has to ‘lock in’ or that the aforementioned chair could ‘bring him good luck through the aura of the esteemed captain of the First’.
your boyfriend is so silly sometimes.
thus, seeing the golden opportunity, of course you’d find it fitting to give him a blowjob under the desk while he’s busy in his own little two-dimensional bubble.
unfortunately for him though, not even one speck of his attention is directed towards the device he’s holding right now. not when your mouth feels so wet and hot, welcoming his dick inside like it’s meant to be there.
your tongue swirls on the underside of his length and dragging against the prominent vein, more of your saliva dripping down and pooling at the base as you take him deeper into your mouth. narumi hisses, one of his hands now running through his messy hair and gripping on it as if to get a hold of himself.
although it isn’t long before you’re gagging on his cock, nails digging into the prominent muscles of his thighs, and suddenly there’s a slight thud above you as the console he was holding drops onto the desk.
you’d wanted to inwardly cheer in victory after finally getting him to put his game down (not like it took that long anyway), but then a soft, almost broken sound escapes from his lips.
you can feel your arousal seeping through your underwear as you realize narumi is whimpering.
your tongue only works faster on him, needing to coax that beautiful sound out of him again, and again, and again until he gets thoroughly satiated from your touch alone.
narumi relieves himself from the slouch, leaning back against the chair and closing his eyes as he loses himself in the feeling of your mouth. one of his hands wearily comes up to cover his flushed face while the other settles at the top of your head to give you languid pats.
feeling uncomfortable in the soiled underwear, your free hand slips down to play with your own clit, rubbing the sensitive bud to relieve some of the ache and smearing your own wetness around your inner thighs. a pair of rouge eyes, misty and heavily lidded, glances at your predicament. “you touching yourself down there?” narumi groans, “god, you’re so hot…” you give him a low moan as a response, the sound vibrating against his dick.
another whimper breaks out of him when you start fondling his balls using your slicked fingers, sucking him off with eager bobs of your head. “f-fuck, gonna come,” his thighs tense beside your head, the swollen tip budding with more pre and hitting the very back of your throat every so often.
his cock twitches in your mouth and before long, he’s coming down your throat in spurts as he lets out a flurry of moans, fingers gripping slightly on your hair. you dutifully swallow his cum, some of it leaking past your lips which you swipe away with a palm before pulling off to stroke him through his climax.
narumi stutters out a whine at the overstimulation, head leaning back and eyes almost tearing up as his entire body feels like it’s been strung out to the max.
you gently press your cheek on his trembling thigh, endeared at your boyfriend’s state. “gen,” you call out. your captain remains where he is; one arm draped over his eyes, face extremely reddened and chest heaving from the orgasm.
you deliberately squeeze his softening yet still sensitive cock with your hand, “hey, look at me.” you press, and he finally snaps out of it, flinching to look down at you.
his black and grey hair is disheveled, sweat lining up at the edge of his temples as his cheeks are tinted with pink. you bite down on your lip, a cheshire grin tugging at your mouth. “you good, babe? don’t you wanna go back to your game now?” you tease.
for some reason his eyes seem brighter now, and another rush of heat courses through you as the blooming retina concentrates on you. “i’ve got another game i wanna play now,” narumi murmurs before backing his chair away to let you up.
he nods his head forward, “get on the desk.”
narumi is a chronic whiner slash whimperer and i will die on this hill–
