So I just looked into that top 50 celebrities list put out by myclimate.org and they say that they "only use data that celebrities themselves publish," meaning that someone being tagged in a post in one area of the world and then the next day posting in another area is how they calculate mileage and emissions. It seems like a pretty glaring data flaw when Taylor obviously isn't going around posting her location or having people tag her in things most of the time, idk. I agree that there's a lot of undue focus being put on Taylor, specifically, when clearly it's a more widespread celebrity problem, but it feels like misinformation to me to be using that study as a gotcha.

The US tabloids smell blood in the water...

The article may be rehash of previously published material, but they wouldn’t go this far if they didn’t think they could get away with promoting this kind of narrative.

Ok so here's how it looks to me:
If Megan🐷/Chris' agency had control over his social media accounts....
She would have been the one doing the trail of likes ❤️ on IG to set this SMA up to begin with and having professionals drop the "tea" on fan forums, possibly even setting some of them up by sending messages to people using his IG account posing as him and leaking the screenshots
Other people's teams may have even been participating in it as well to help set up the narratives a lá the Kelly rumour/the Scott friend texts etc
This may also actually mean that the SMA is decided on much earlier than anyone admits if you count the date of his original anxiety tweet the year before, meaning they had a year to set up the PR campaign for "his other half" but because he wasn't actually serious about anyone and was just dating around it became a sh*tight between competing teams, hence the dumpster fire rumour sh*tshow fed to the fans
Did the highest bidder win? Which contract won out? The SMA campaign is completely buyable and able to be manipulated and the winner is established well in advance?
Hack the fans, steal their images and chase them off, then have the paid for accounts posing as fan accounts post the images as part of the next narrative push at New York ComiCon?
The team did the scrubbing on her other background info, only to release it all later on to mess with Christopher when he decided he wanted to fire Megan🐷/his team after the backlash from the papwalk and SMA release? Is any of that info even legitimate or has that been photoshopped too?
Was the info edited in or edited out?
Fake texts anyone? Not to mention targeting and scamming fans to scare them off? What about the pic in the doorway with Dodger and the trainer from the valentine's day dump? I heard the trainer wasn't happy about her likeness being used....
Remember the woman in the papwalk video on twitter also showing up at the Premiere of Ghosted?
That was weird...(Was that an assistant from Marla's/🐟 team?)
Megan🐷/his team had the means and ability to spin the story to Deuxmoi given that she probably has her number in order to spin the narrative that 🐟 did it on purpose, how much of this fake narrative has been fed to DeuxMoi?
But then because Chris' IG account was the only one still active and he wanted to fire Megan etc, she took the money backing 🐟 and posted the story dumps to his IG
Weird how the Black Raven account deactivated right after 🐟 lost her IG account......did he almost have control back, and his team🐷 took the money and went with the paid for narrative (by Netflix? CAA? People Mag?) to run him into the ground since he refused to be held hostage by her antics?
Weird how his twitter account "accidentally" liked that tweet one time by Black Raven and brought attention to it....
Makes me wonder just how long Megan🐷 etc could have been planning all of this, and how long Chris has really been trying to get away from her, does she believe in future planning? I hope she has a retirement fund....
Does it go back to his time with Jim? Did he want to leave and go with him but made the mistake of staying with 🐷? Or was she or someone else holding something over him to keep him there? And why?
Who's really responsible for the dick pic leak? Was that even Chris'? The ankles look too skinny to me?
Was that only the first time someone tried to sabotage him?
If they are hiring trolls at both ends then just how many of the rumours throughout the years have been put out just to get him to pay them to put out the fire for him
All of this just to push a fake wedding rumour? Fake pregnancy rumours?
White knight syndrome?
Did we finally find the spiders that spun the webs? 🕷️
Why so jealous Megan🐷?
Did you shoot your shot and get turned down? Sounds like inappropriate conduct for a client relationship to me!
Are you the blonde on the plane sitting behind him going to Disney?
More importantly who's paying?
And how many other artists are they doing this to?
Sounds like a work trip.....
and about time Chris Evans hired a lawyer

the past does not exist
lena oberdorf x interviewer!reader
summary: after a year, the both of you came to accept that you cannot change the past.
Tumblr media
it was a job you loved—interviewing the best and brightest in women’s football, seeing the beauty and heartbreak of the sport that brought you so much love.. love for someone who never made it professionally.
you had a thing for drawing out stories no one else could, peeling back the layers of the players' lives beyond the pitch.
it wasn’t just about asking the right questions; it was about knowing how to listen, being caring, and respect. through this job, you were able to make friends with many of the footballers.
you weren't a gossip interviewer, you knew what to post and when to keep your mouth closed and mind your business. mainly sticking to growth stories, interviews about games itself, and tactical commentary. the players respected you as much as you respected them.
when you stayed in wolfsburg during the 2023 champions league final, the town seemed excited for the team that shined throughout the season. the final was in eindhoven, but wolfsburg fans decked out in green and white as they prepared to cheer on their team against barcelona in the dutch city.
for you, it was another opportunity to dig deeper into the lives of players, and the wolfsburg squad was nothing short of intriguing. to you, lena oberdorf stood out among them. she is a tough midfielder whose intensity on the pitch was matched only by her charm off it.
your first interview with lena was.. interesting to say the least. she leaned back in her chair, arms crossed casually, a mischievous glint in her eye as she teased you about the list of questions you had prepared.
“come on, these can’t be all you’ve got!! be nosey for once,” she’d said, a grin tugging at the corner of her lips.
you laughed, adjusting your recorder on the table.
“trust me, oberdorf, i’ve got plenty more where that came from.”
“good,” she said, leaning forward slightly.
“i wouldn’t want this to be boring.”
what followed was a conversation that felt less like an interview and more like a sparring match. she was sharp, witty, and unapologetically confident. you couldn’t help but be drawn to her energy. over the next few days, lena sought you out whenever she could—whether it was a casual chat after training or a quiet drink in the team’s hotel bar.
it was there, amid the low hum of conversation and the clinking of glasses, that your connection deepened.
one night, as the team celebrated their victory in the semifinals, lena pulled you aside. her usually playful demeanor was replaced by something softer, more vulnerable.
“y/n.. i don’t know what it is about you,” she admitted, her voice low enough that only you could hear.
“but i can’t stop thinking about you. you’re so beautiful, and i can’t stop hearing your voice. is that weird to say? i am not sure, but please tell me that this is not one sided..”
it didn’t take long for your professional boundaries to blur. you spent nights tangled in lena’s sheets, stolen moments in hotel rooms where the world outside ceased to exist.
it wasn’t love, not at all, but it was something raw and undeniable.
wolfsburg lost the champions league final, which sucked horribly. that means that you had your next job to do– the 2023 women's world cup. you were in australia, assigned to be following the uswnt as they sought to defend their title.
that means that you couldn’t be with lena or germany. it sucked, but you and lena kept contact. until, germany’s shocking elimination in the group stage. it was a blow to lena and her teammates.
when you texted her to check in, she didn’t respond. calls went unanswered, messages left on read.
you understood that lena was hurting. the weight of expectations, the sting of disappointment, it was a lot for anyone to bear. however, her silence cut deep. you wanted to be there for her, to comfort her, but your job demanded your attention elsewhere.
as much as it pained you, you told yourself to let it go. lena owed you nothing. you weren’t hers, and she wasn’t yours.
still, it hurt.
months passed, and you threw yourself into your work. you interviewed aitana bonmati after her world cup final heroics, sat down with leah williamson to talk about england’s near chance at winning it all, and made a documentary on the rise of young stars like lauren james, salma paralluelo, and trinity rodman.
lena became a ghost in your life—a memory you tried not to revisit, though it lingered at the edges of your thoughts.
then, over a year later, the news broke: lena oberdorf is leaving wolfsburg for bayern. the transfer sent shockwaves through the football world, and as one of the leading journalists in women’s football, it was your job to cover it.
except your coworker, matt, stepped in before you could even begin.
“i’ve got this one,” matt said casually, leaning against your desk.
you looked up from your laptop, frowning.
“since when do you cover transfers? you only do injury status stuff..”
he shrugged.
“since i know this one’s a little... complicated for you.”
“complicated?” you repeated, your tone sharper than you intended.
matt raised an eyebrow, unbothered by your reaction.
“look, everyone knows that you and oberdorf had... something. i’m just trying to make it easier for you.”
“i don’t need you to make it easier for me,” you snapped, though the tightening in your chest betrayed you.
“i can handle it.”
“y/n,” judah, matt’s husband and your other coworker, spoke up, his voice softer.
“you don’t have to prove anything. let matt take this one.”
you wanted to argue, to insist that you were fine, but the truth was, the thought of facing lena again—even from a professional distance—made your stomach churn.
you hated that she still had this power over you, that the mere mention of her name could unravel the carefully constructed walls you’d built around yourself.
“fine,” you muttered, closing your laptop with more force than necessary.
matt gave you a reassuring smile. “i’ll handle it, don’t worry.”
as he walked away, you leaned back in your chair, exhaling slowly. you told yourself it didn’t matter. lena was just another player, another story. you’d moved on.
except, deep down, you knew that wasn’t entirely true.
paris had this summer’s energy with the olympics. the streets were alive with fans draped in flags from all over the world, and you were in your element, weaving through the chaos to chase stories that mattered.
the united states had just played germany in the group stage, a tense match that ended in a 4-1 victory for the americans. the post-match adrenaline was palpable, and you had just wrapped up an interview with sophia smith.
it was nice seeing one of your favorites again, sophia’s grin mirrored your own as she walked off toward her teammates to the dressing room, the tension of the match now replaced by joy.
you adjusted your microphone to turn it off. you turned to walk away, preparing to call it a day when you nearly collided with lea schüller.
the blonde woman’s presence was commanding, her expression soft yet serious. you’ve interviewed her a long time ago while she still played for essen, but now she’s grown up.
“oh, lea,” you said, recovering quickly. professionalism kicked in as you gestured toward the camera crew that was starting to pack up.
“did you want to do a quick interview too? i can call them back.”
“no,” lea said quickly, shaking her head. her tone caught you off guard—there was a weight to it, something unsaid pressing at the edges.
“i don’t want the cameras.”
your brow furrowed as you lowered your microphone and put it away in your bag.
“are you okay? i mean, this is about the olympics, right? you should be focusing on that.”
“i am,” lea said, her voice steady but her gaze unwavering.
“but this isn’t about the olympics. not entirely.”
you tilted your head, curiosity prickling at your skin.
“then what is it about?”
lea hesitated, glancing around as if to make sure no one was listening.
“can we just talk? no microphones, no cameras. just you and me.”
you hesitated. as much as you respected lea, this wasn’t normal protocol. the look in her eyes—earnest and almost pleading—nudged you to agree.
“okay,” you said softly.
“what’s on your mind?”
lea exhaled, the tension in her shoulders easing slightly. she stepped closer, lowering her voice.
“i’m here to apologize. not for myself—but for obi.”
your heart skipped a beat at the mention of her name. you hadn’t spoken about obi in months, hadn’t even allowed yourself to think about her for fear of reopening old wounds.
here it was, her name hanging in the air between you and lea like a ghost.
“apologize?” you echoed, keeping your tone neutral.
“for what?”
lea shifted on her feet, clearly uncomfortable. “i know about you and lena. about... what you had.” she paused, watching your expression carefully.
“she’s really sorry for how things ended. or—how they didn’t end, i guess. for ghosting you.”
you swallowed hard, your throat suddenly dry.
“she told you about us?”
“she did, but honestly she didn’t have to,” lea said gently.
“i’m her best friend. i noticed how different she was after you two stopped seeing eachother. she’s not great at dealing with her emotions, and back then...” lea trailed off, sighing.
“she was going through a lot. losing the champions league final with wolfsburg hit her hard. then germany getting knocked out of the world cup? it was too much. and she didn’t know how to handle it. she shut everyone out, including you. shit, it took me a few weeks to get to her again.”
you wanted to look away, to shield yourself from the vulnerability of the moment, but lea’s gaze held you in place. the blonde’s words twisted something deep inside you—part anger, part sadness, part longing.
“i get that she was struggling,” you said finally, your voice steadier than you felt.
“but she could’ve said something. anything. instead, she just... disappeared.”
“i know,” lea said quickly. “and i’m not trying to make excuses for her. she knows she messed up. that’s why she asked me to talk to you since she can’t be here.”
you blinked, the weight of her words settling over you.
“she asked you?”
lea nodded.
“she wants you to know she’s sorry. she didn’t mean to hurt you but she also knows that an apology coming from me isn’t enough.”
you folded your arms across your chest, the defense mechanism almost automatic. “it’s not,” you admitted.
“if she wants to apologize, she should tell me herself.”
lea’s expression softened, and she gave a small nod.
“i understand and i think she does too, but she’s scared, y/n. scared you’ll never forgive her.”
you took a deep breath, willing yourself to stay composed.
“i’m not saying i wouldn’t. but it has to come from her. not you.”
lea studied you for a moment, then offered a small smile.
“honestly, you’re a good person, y/n. she doesn’t deserve you, but if she gets the chance to explain herself, i think you’ll see she’s been trying to be better.”
you didn’t respond right away. part of you wanted to dismiss the entire conversation, to pretend it didn’t matter anymore. the truth was, it did. lena still mattered, no matter how much you tried to convince yourself otherwise.
“thank you, lea,” you said finally, your voice quiet.
“for telling me.”
lea smiled again, this time with a hint of relief.
“of course. and for what it’s worth, i think she’ll reach out. she just needs to find the courage.”
as she walked away, you stood there, the noise of the olympic village fading into the background. you weren’t sure how to feel… relieved? angry? hopeful?
it started innocently enough—moments stolen between interviews and training sessions, quiet conversations that lingered long after they ended. obi was magnetic by a vulnerability she rarely showed to anyoen except for you.
she made you laugh when you least expected it. over time, those stolen moments grew into something deeper. the teasing smiles turned into lingering glances, and the casual touches—her hand brushing yours, her knee pressed against yours under the table—became harder to ignore.
usually, you were able to keep your professionalism for footballers, but lena made you feel ways that you didn’t feel for a very long time until that spring of 2023.
for lena, you were different. she had always been wary of letting anyone get too close, but with you, it felt effortless. you asked about her family, her dreams, the books she read when she needed to escape the noise of the world. however, you asked because you wanted to know– not because you needed something new to write about for an article.
obi, in turn, wanted to know everything about you—your favorite coffee order, the places you dreamed of visiting, the stories you carried behind your composed demeanor as an interviewer. it scared her how much she wanted to know, how much she wanted to keep you close.
the nights you spent together weren’t just about the sex, though that was undeniable. it was about the quiet moments after, when lena would trace lazy circles on your skin as you talked about nothing and everything.
it was in the way she’d insist on walking you back to your room, even when it was out of her way, or how she’d send you random texts during the day—pictures of the sky, a meme she thought you’d find funny, a simple compliment.
it wasn’t just hooking up, not to either of you, even if neither of you said the words out loud.
the semifinal was here a week after lea and you talked. the united states against germany, again.
you adjusted the strap of your bag, walking alongside matt and judah as you made your way to the front-row seats reserved for the media.
matt was mid-story, animatedly describing america’s pre-match routine as he holds judah’s hand. you’re set to interview lindsey horan after the match. your media company is collaborating with the united states to put out a documentary if the united states win the olympics. a contrast to being eliminated from the world cup a year before.
matt was talking when suddenly stopped in his tracks. his hand reached out to grab your arm, his eyes wide. “y/n,” he said, his voice dropping in volume.
“don’t freak out, but... is that who I think it is?”
you followed his gaze, and the world seemed to tilt for a moment. lena. sitting in the crowd just a few rows behind where your seats were, her presence as sharp and overwhelming as a gust of icy wind.
she was next to lea, who was also sidelined due to injury, both of them out of action yet here to support their team. lena’s leg was propped slightly to accommodate the brace on her knee—a harsh reminder of her recent acl surgery.
your breath caught in your throat as her eyes locked onto yours. there was a softness in her gaze, an unreadable mix of intrigue and something else that made your chest ache. she smiled lightly, not quite coy but just enough to make you feel unsteady.
beside her, lea glanced your way and offered a small, sympathetic smile that only twisted the knot forming in your stomach.
“shit,” you murmured under your breath, quickly looking away and focusing on the crowd in front of you. your heart raced, a thrum so loud you were sure matt and judah could hear it.
“are you okay?” matt asked, his tone cautious, concerned.
“fine,” you said quickly, your voice tight.
“just wasn’t expecting—her.”
“do you want to switch seats?” judah offered, ever the considerate one.
“no,” you said, shaking your head even as your hands trembled slightly.
“it’s fine. i’ll deal with it.”
it didn’t feel fine. it felt like your chest was caving in, the air around you charged with tension. lena wasn’t supposed to be here. she was supposed to be in germany, recovering. why was she here, in france, sitting just a few rows behind you?
you made your way to your seat, determined to ignore the weight of her presence. matt and judah settled on the left side of you, chatting about the potential lineup changes for both teams. its 0-0 in the 40th minute and its clear that both teams might need changes. you nodded along absently, your thoughts spinning in a dozen directions. you glanced at the pitch, and latched onto lindsey horan’s familiar figure. you reminded yourself that you were here for a reason. lindsey. you had a job to do.
it was impossible to shake the sensation that someone is looking at you. it crawled along your skin, pulling your attention until you couldn’t resist. you turned your head slightly, your gaze flicking over your shoulder—and there she was.
lena.
she wasn’t watching the game. the german’s eyes were on you, unflinching and intent, as if she were trying to read your every move. obi’s expression wasn’t smug or teasing; it was quieter than that, almost searching.
beside her, lea was fully immersed in the match, cheering loudly as the germans pushed forward. however, lena’s focus was solely on you.
your stomach flipped, and you whipped your head back around, your pulse thundering in your ears. you clenched your hands into fists in your lap, willing yourself to calm down. the last thing you needed was to let lena see how much she still affected you.
“she’s looking at you, isn’t she?” judah’s leaned in, his voice feminine but low enough that only you could hear.
you didn’t trust yourself to speak, so you just nodded slightly. judah sighed, his tone softening.
“forget that she’s even there.”
easy for him to say. judah didn’t have the weight of months of unspoken words and unresolved feelings sitting just four rows behind him. of course he didn’t, neither judah or matt understood lesbian relationships.. or situationships. the married couple didn’t have to confront the ache of seeing someone who had disappeared from their lives without explanation.
you tried to watch the game and it worked for a while. as the minutes ticked by, you couldn’t help but wonder if this moment, this game, this crowd, was lena’s way of trying to find her way back into your life.
it was.
the americans kicked out germany to secure their place in the gold or silver medal match as germany will fight spain for the bronze medal. you finished your interview with lindsey in record time. it helped that she was a close friend, making the questions flow naturally.
after the camera crew packed up and moved away, lindsey squeezed your shoulder affectionately.
“good luck with... whatever’s on your mind,” she said, her knowing smile hinting that she’d picked up on your unease before and after the interview. before you could respond, she jogged off to join her celebrating teammates, leaving you standing alone at the edge of the media zone.
then, you saw her.
lena was on crutches, moving slowly through the thinning crowd. the brace on her leg was unmistakable, but it was her eyes that made your chest tighten. she was looking right at you, determined, like she’d already decided this conversation was going to happen whether you wanted it to or not.
you froze. part of you wanted to turn and walk away before she reached you. however, your feet could not move. your pulse quickened as she stopped in front of you, her presence commanding despite the vulnerability of her injury.
“hi,” she said softly, her voice carrying an unfamiliar mix of nervousness and resolve.
you nodded, keeping your tone professional.
“hi, lena. how’s the leg?”
her lips curved into a small smile, though it didn’t quite reach her eyes.
“it’s... getting there. rehab’s gonna be tough, but i’m managing.”
you nodded again, the words sticking in your throat.
“that’s good. um, do you want to—”
“no,” lena interrupted, her voice firm but not unkind.
“don’t do that, y/n. don’t skip around what happened. we can’t just act like it didn’t exist.”
you blinked, caught off guard by her directness.
“lena, i don’t think—”
“please,” she cut in, her tone softening as she adjusted her crutches to steady herself.
“let me talk.”
you swallowed hard, nodding. she took a deep breath, her gaze unwavering as she began.
“i messed up,” she said, her voice low but steady.
“last summer... after the champions league final and the world cup, i was in a bad place. i felt like i’d failed at everything that mattered—my team, my country, my family, and you.” she paused, her brows knitting together.
“i was embarrassed. i didn’t know how to face you because i thought you deserved better than the mess i was. so, i ran and that was the worst thing i could’ve done.”
obi’s words hit you like a wave, stirring up emotions you’d worked hard to bury. you opened your mouth to speak, but lena pressed on.
“i thought i needed space,” she continued. “and maybe i did, but i didn’t realize what i was losing until it was too late. until you were gone. and i’ve missed you, y/n. every day. not just what we had, but you. your laugh, the way you understood me even when i couldn’t find the words.” she paused, her voice catching.
“i haven’t forgotten about you. not for one day.”
you looked away, trying to steady your breathing. “lena,” you began, your voice shaky.
“do you have any idea how much that hurt? you just... disappeared. no explanation, no goodbye. i thought—i thought i didn’t matter to you.”
“you mattered,” she said quickly, her voice firm.
“you still matter. i know i hurt you, and i’ll never forgive myself for that. but im here now, and i’m asking... can we start over? i have so much time on my hands now with this injury. time to make it right, if you’ll let me.”
you hesitated, the weight of her words settling over you. “maybe you should focus on your recovery,” you said finally, your tone careful. “that’s what’s most important right now.”
lena nodded, her expression serious.
“i am. my therapist said part of my recovery is being honest with myself though and the truth is, i want you back in my life. not just as something casual. i want us to be official, when the time is right.”
obi’s words hung in the air, and for a moment, neither of you spoke. then, you nodded slowly.
“i’ll be in munich when bayern plays their first champions league match,” you said, your voice barely above a whisper.
“we’ll see where things stand then.”
lena’s face broke into a smile—genuine, relieved, and filled with something you hadn’t seen in her for a long time: hope. “okay,” she said softly. “okay.”
she stepped closer, leaning down slightly despite the crutches to pull you into a hug. her arms wrapped around you tightly, and you felt her press a small, lingering kiss to the side of your head. it was grounding, familiar in a way that made your chest ache.
as she pulled back, she met your eyes again. “you can stay at my place in munich anytime,” she offered, her tone light but sincere.
you gave her a small smile.
“okay.”
just like that, the past felt smaller, less significant. the past did not exist anymore, since the future was all you and obi have.

Max the wag: are we the drama? l Max Verstappen Imagine
happy note: hello my loviessssss! How are you all? It feels like it’s been an eternity and I am so so happy to be back to writing and interacting with your great and incredible asks and everything <3 and I know I said this was supposed to be ready by Monday or so? but I started an internship and it's been harder than expected, but I'm getting the hang of it so be prepared for more works to come!
Probably tomorrow I’ll be posting a list of all the requests I’m incredibly behind but that way you know I got them and are on my mind and will be written <3 I also don’t know if you like the idea of starting a tag list? Please please let me know, babes <3
ALSO I got an incredible request of the Max the wag series involving our boy Yuki AND I LOVED IT SO MUCH so it’s absolutely happening!
YOU CAND FIND THE MAX THE WAG SERIES HERE
summary: For the first time, Max and you find yourselves on the other end of the gossip.
Tumblr media
Hungary Grand Prix, 2023.
Max wasn’t feeling like himself.
The car upgrades were supposed to be great, not to make him struggle and happy a shitty day, which meant shitty questions, passive aggressive press conference trying to not look so annoyed, but it didn’t help that the press was painstakingly working to get the worst angles with furrowed eyebrows and waving off strangers trying to aggressively approach him.
Of course, it didn’t help you weren’t there to hold his hand walking around the paddock, forcing his blue eyes to focus on your calming smile and the inevitable lovestruck expression plastered on his face.
And yes, he was letting out the fact he didn’t leave Monaco in the best of terms. He’d grown accustomed to you tagging along to most races, but when you informed him you wouldn’t be able to make it to the last two races before summer break he didn’t take it the best way.
Yes, Max understood you were needed at your job and deadlines were way more difficult to meet with changing time zones, bumpy flights and noisy paddocks and hospitalities, but it didn’t change the fact that he needed you and his selfish self really needed you cheering for him, even if you’d seen him win enough times already.
In conclusion, it was safe to say he didn’t really feel like putting on a genuine smile or goof around with interviewers who’d ask the same questions while Christian tells him off for looking unapproachable.
The only thing that turned the corners of his mouth was a WhatsApp attachment from you, Jimmy and Sassy sleeping with the F1 channel on full display on the TV.
It wasn’t long until Twitter and Instagram fan accounts came to the conclusion you weren’t there with Max, creating a small discussion with some people arguing that it didn’t make sense you’d tagged along to places like Baku or Melbourne and not go to a race less far away and arguably one of the most popular tracks of the season, while other people defended you saying you had your own life apart from being Max’s girlfriend, you had a job, conferences to attend amongst other things, so it was ridiculous to expect you to be there for every race, no matter how much you loved Max.
You don’t know whether it was the fact you didn’t post a story on Instagram celebrating Max’s win or the fact Max hadn’t been his best self, struggling with the car, losing control over the tiniest thing and just losing focus overall the fuel for some fans to start speculating about the status of your relationship.
User1: why hasn’t y/n  posted something about max?? she always does when she’s not with him
User2: something’s sus
User3: no pls I cant handle another July break up
User4: max deserves someone who shows up for him! He arguably had the most difficult weekend of the season and she’s mia
User5: she’s always there for him and has a right to have her own life grow the hell up!
Belgian Grand Prix, 2023
Last race before summer break meant most people on the paddock were a turmoil of emotions between the desire for the weekend to be completely over and wishing to do the best possible job before the break.
Max convinced himself he was coming into the weekend relaxed, knowing he’d have to put his best strategies, talent and focus for Spa, but a few free weeks were right around the corner so he could recharge with you, staying in bed for the entire morning before getting up to get ready to go out, maybe arriving back to the apartment drunk and giggly only to regret everything during the morning, but with the knowledge you were going to do the exact same.
He was facetiming you when he came across lots of fans wanting his attention, asking for pictures, until someone asked for you and Max pretended he didn’t listen, not wanting to answer things about his relationship, and the woman that asked wasn’t even sharp enough to catch your face on full display on his screen.
Had Max known the chaos it would ensue not answering the simple question about you, maybe he’d reconsider, especially since Lando and him jumped from the paddock to a helicopter waiting to take them to the closing night of Tomorrowland where Martin Garrix was closing the last weekend.
User1: *attached video* pls pls you HAVE to see the discomfort on max face when someone asked him about y/n something is not right with parents
User2: we all know he never speaks about her thoo, im keeping my hopes up!!!!
User4: I’m calling break up and good cuz I never liked her always acted like she was too good for the f1 world and never communicated w fans
User3: that’s called being reserved moron!!1 you don’t see other wags taking pics with fans except maybe lily bc she’s a pro golfer!!!
You were sitting on your bed when Victoria sent a thread on Twitter (or X? or Threads? it’s confusing) pointing at every proof and detail about your supposed break up, ironically asking if you had something to inform the family since Max hadn’t said anything.
With widened eyes and unable to contain the urge to see what people were saying about Max and you, two hours later you were still reading gossip sites and didn’t even hear the door of the penthouse opening with both Sassy and Jimmy running away from the feet of the bed.
“Is this the welcome I get?” Max’s voice announced his arrival, catching you by surprise and throwing the phone in the air.
“Fuck, Max! You scared the shit out of me, I hate you!” You laughed, finally realizing he was right in front of you and kneeling on the bed to attach your arms around his neck, allowing Max to grab you by the thighs and spin you around while you left small kisses on his cheeks.
“What were you reading? You looked very focused,” Max carefully placed you back on the mattress before throwing his body and groaning at the feeling of his muscles relaxing.
“Did you know we broke up?” You questioned your boyfriend whose blue eyes opened as much as they could, eyebrows raised and slightly moving his head in confusion.
Max was confused but still demanded an answer on what was going on as he watched the corners of your mouth lifting and quiet giggles leaving them.
“Look, it’s full of theories because I didn’t attend the last races and after you went with Lando to watch Martin, some fans started drawing their own conclusions!”
“Are they insane? Speculating about other people’s love lives is so rude, and just because I didn’t answer a question about you which I never do? People are crazy!” Max exclaimed on an irritated tone, but quickly caught your eyes, making him realize the people commenting were doing the exact same thing as you, just on a larger scale.
“Baby, I think this time we are the drama…” You stated before the bedroom became quiet.
It was just Max and you staring at each other, recalling every time you eavesdropped a conversation that clearly wasn’t meant for either of you to hear, or discussed different theories on who had cheated, who had broken up with whom, why some partners were so young or looked almost identical.
“Schatz, I am not going to lie,” Max started with a frown and serious face before continuing. “I am very proud of us” After letting it out Max started laughing, his cheeks flushing and placing his hand over his mouth to try to stifle the sounds.
“Baby, this definitely means we made it!”
It was bound to happen, you were meant to eventually become a source of spectacle if you enjoyed gossiping about other people’s lives so much.
After laughing to the brink of tears, Max kissed your lips; softly, slowly and sensually, making it hard to separate but he stared right into your eyes and asked you in all seriousness: “Should we feed the gossip? Wouldn’t it be fun?”

Note
I don’t usually read much Deuxmoi but on her podcast today she is with Enty lawyer (Crazy days and nights blind item guy) at the 42:00-54:30 they were talking about the h and m separation gossip. Nothing that really isn’t already discussed on Tumblr but its nice to hear his take that Harry is lazy, Bill Zimmer is his friend and he knows how Spotify really tried to find something for Harry to do, Meghan is a true hustler- confirmed she planned to catch a rich Brit and hit the jackpot and was jealous of how well Spare did- hence all the pr items on herself when the book dropped, how separate their professional and personal lives are, and basically what kind of a relationship can you really have when it starts long distance and u only see each other for four days then leave. He did mention Scobie as the mouthpiece and said notice that Scobie publicly denies having Harry’s contact info but never says he doesn’t have Meghan’s. He sees the separation happening for sure. Like i say its nice hearing it but now just waiting for it to be public is another thing.
I don't find any of this surprising. I do think Harry is telling the truth that he's never conversed with the Scobie monster. It's clearly been Harry's wife who has been in contact with Scobie the entire time. Which also means that Scobie has been the one in contact with Lainey, aka Elaine Lui, of Lainey Gossip the entire time. The line from Harry's wife to Lainey is clearly Scobie.
It'll be nice once the separation/divorce is announce because then we can all move on from the when-are-they-going-to-divorce question.
All that said, let's not forget that the current "Enty" isn't even the original owner of Crazy Days & Nights. The original "Enty" sold his blog at least fifteen years ago. The current dude is either the second or third "Enty." His knowledge only goes back so far.

lando norris x reader
based on this request (because I take requests and I have to make it everyone's business): Hi not sure if you take requests but in case you do could you write reader x lando where y/n is a celebrity or an influencer and she drops subtle hints at who is her new bf maybe some fun facts about him like "oh he hates fish and I'm making a lot of fish for christmas" and eventually the fans are like "guys it's totally lando"
words count: 2.5k + fans' tweets at the end
author's note: my first request and it was so fun to write 🥹 also added a hospital scene from the time of Vegas GP so we could experience a bit of protective Y/n and painkillers-high Lando (I forgot about a fish scene)
edit: I've just realized I've messed up the dates so let's pretend the award thingie was in '23 instead of '22
A secret boyfriend
Tumblr media
It was a normal Tuesday of 2023 when Y/n Y/l/n and Lando Norris met. Well, not so normal since it was the day Y/n won the first award in her musical career, and Lando had his first debut as an award presenter.
"And the winner is..." He opened the envelope and flipped it, as he held it upside down. "Y/n Y/l/n."
Y/n couldn't believe it at first. She looked at her best friend with tears in her eyes. They hugged before Y/n stood up and got on her way to the scene, still questioning if she actually heard her name or was it her mind playing tricks on her.
"Thank you," Y/n sent Lando a smile as he handed her the award, "are you sure it's for me?" She joked, trying to mask the anxiety she felt from the fact that now she had to give a speech while everyone watched.
"Absolutely, it's all yours. Well deserved." Lando said feeling a bit starstruck from being so close to one of his favorite singers.
Just this one simple interaction was enough for both Y/n's and Lando's fanbases to raise suspicions. However, what was unavailable to the fans' eyes were Y/n and Lando's interaction at the after party. Later the same evening, he approached her.
"Hey, congratulations again." He said with a grin on his face. "Your music is amazing, I couldn't imagine you not winning this award."
"Stop with the compliments, I'm gonna blush." Y/n laughed. "Nice to meet you. Lando Norris, isn't it?"
"Yeah, do you watch Formula One?"
"I'm going to be honest from the beginning and admit I did not, but I did my research and I just might start being a fan."
"If you're ever down for hearing firsthand gossip straight from the track, I'm at your service."
"I'd love to hear all the gossip over a coffe sometime."
"Let me give you my number then and I'll arrange something."
And so a few days later they had a coffee date. The date marked the beginning of a carefully hidden romance. They wanted to keep it a secret from the public eye, not wanting people prying on them, trying to estimate how long they'll last.
Keeping the relationship secret somehow came easy to them. They were seen on the coffee date indeed, however they made sure to have the next dates in private. The fans on both sides were literally clueless to the whole ongoing romance. Y/n had her tour, Lando had his races and it wasn't even a little bit suspicious how a lot concerts aligned with race weekends.
Unfortunately, one day Y/n went live on Instagram with her best friend. Unfortunately, because Y/f/n didn't know how to keep her mouth shut. Unfortunately, because Y/f/n gave away the big secret.
"You know, guys, we're gonna use lives as a way to spend time together," she joked, "I've been feeling a bit abandoned since Y/n has been spending so much time with her boyfriend. Even on tour and with his busy schedule, can you believe this?"
Y/n's eyes widened. "Y/f/n!" She scolded her friend.
"What? It's a joke, no worries, I can see you're finally happy and I'm happy for you!"
"Y/f/n! You weren't supposed to say that!"
But the damage was already done. There was nothing Y/n could say to save the situation. So instead she decided to start dropping subtle hints for the fans to guess. Maybe it was the right time to make the relationship public after five months. They couldn't hide it forever.
Y/n started the hint game when she was on Jimmy Fallon's show.
"Y/n Y/l/n, everybody!" Jimmy announced when the girl walked in and sat down on the armchair. "I haven't seen you in a year and so much happened during this time!"
"I know, I know," Y/n said with a smile. "I'm so glad I could make a quick pit stop here on my way to Montreal."
"I'm happy to have you here. You won an award, you got a boyfriend. How- how did that happen?"
Y/n chuckled at Jimmy's question, realizing it was the perfect opportunity to play the hint game. "Oh, life takes unexpected turns and sometimes you find yourself on a fast track to happiness."
Jimmy raised an eyebrow, sensing there was more to the story. "Anything you'd like to share about this mystery man?"
"You know, Jimmy, I've finally found someone who knows how to navigate the twists and turns in life."
The audience laughed and the speculations among fans skyrocketed as they tried to connect the dots from Y/n's playful hints.
The other time, Y/n was on a popular radio show. The host couldn't help but ask about the latest reveal of a big secret.
"You were left hurting really badly after your previous relationship," he spoke, "it's really good to see you finally happy."
"It was a big thing for me. Still is." The girl admitted. "My previous relationship made it hard to open up to a man like that again."
"What made you do it eventually then?"
"I decided life is too short for keeping things in the slow lane," Y/n chuckled, "and when you meet someone that can belt out a Taylor Swift song with the same passion as you, it's hard not to fall for them."
"So your mystery man is a Swiftie too? Any chance we might know him?"
"Oh, I bet many people who are listening right now would know him."
"Now you got us all intrigued, your fans wouldn't forgive me if I didn't ask for more."
Y/n grinned, "Well, he's practically flawless, except for one little detail. He's a scorpio. And let me tell you, when we're playing our silly little racing video games, his competitive scorpio side really comes out. It's all fun and games until his racing pride is at stake."
The host laughed. "I'm sure fans are already trying to guess who this mystery gamer is. And you, are you competitive?"
"Yes, totally. He's more experienced than I am, but it doesn't mean I won't try my hardest to beat him."
"Is there any trait you don't share?"
The girl nodded, "Yes, one thing I'm secretly jealous of. He's quite known for being able to fall asleep in the most uncomfortable conditions. I wish I could do that. I'm all about pillows and comfy blankets, but he can just doze off anywhere, anytime."
A few days later, in the warmth of Lando's bedroom, surrounded by the hum of city life outside the windows, Y/n brought up the topic with a playful glint in her eyes.
"You know, Lando, fans have been buzzing lately. It's quite entertaining."
"Well, you have started this yourself," Lando laughed, laying his head in his girlfriend's lap.
"Not me, it was Y/f/n. I just went with it and turned it into something fun for myself." Y/n defended herself. Her fingers started gently playing with Lando's hair.
"You do seem to be having a great time, leading your fans on and all that," he joked. "Are there chances they'll solve your mystery anytime soon?"
"I've seen a few tweets accusing you of being my secret boyfriend, but most people don't really believe that."
"What?" He sit up dramatically. He continued in a fake-offended voice. "Do they think I'm not good enough?"
Y/n giggled.
Lando's mock offense turned into a playful pout. "I can't believe they're doubting my boyfriend potential. I mean, come on, look at me!" He gestured theatrically at himself.
Y/n burst into laughter, "Maybe we should give them a little more to work with, stir the pot a bit."
Lando leaned in, placing a quick kiss on Y/n's cheek. "You're a master of turning chaos into entertainment, you know that?"
"It's quite a compliment, coming from a Formula One driver."
Lando flashed a grin. "Well, we both have our talents, don't we? Maybe we should drop some subtle hints during a race?"
And so they waited months for the Grand Prix in Vegas, because that was where they could start rumours about getting married. Sure, they could get married spontaneously anywhere, but there was no better place than Las Vegas.
Thankfully they managed to keep the relationship secret all these months, breadcrumbing Y/n's fans. After the Vegas GP, Y/n and Lando where supposed to go for an afterparty, get 'drunk' and then 'married'.
Unfortunately, they plans changed the direction a bit with Lando's crash. Y/n's heart sank as she watched the unfolding drama on the big screens. The thrill of the race was replaced with concern for Lando's well-being. Plans for the afterparty and the playful hints about a fake marriage suddenly didn't matter anymore.
Emergency crews rushed onto the track, the anxious seconds felt like an eternity as they worked to help Lando get out of his racing car. Y/n's heart pounded in her chest, the world around her blurring. The fact that he managed to walk away from the car was a small comfort.
Y/n's phone buzzed moment after Lando disappeared from her sight.
from: Lando
I'm okay, they're taking me to st vincent's hospital. Will update you soon. Love you xx
to: Lando
Be there in a second, see you soon
A shaky exhale escaped Y/n, she felt slightly relief and ran towards the exit. She was sure Lando wasn't okay, not after that crash, but at least he was conscious and walking on his own (although it could be the adrenaline). A moment later, when Y/n got into her own car, her phone buzzed again.
from: Lando
Yknow you could post a pic from the hospital, that would stir the pot
Y/n smiled at the massage. If he could think of that, he might had been better than she thought.
The neon lights of Las Vegas blurred as she drove through the city streets, trying to get to the hospital as quick as possible. Despite the speed, the journey seemed to stretch in time.
Arriving at St. Vincent's hospital, Y/n rushed through the entrance, her heart pounding. The reception area looked like a maze in her anxious state, but she managed to find a nurse.
"I'm here for Lando Norris," the girl said.
The nurse looked her up and down. "Are you his family?"
"I'm his girlfriend."
"Then, unfortunately, I cannot let you see him."
"His family is in Europe, I'm the closest to family you can get here in Vegas."
"The closest, but not family. I'll ask you nicely to wait here for further information."
Y/n nodded with an angry expression on her face. She sat down in the waiting room, pulling out her phone and dialing the number of her manager.
"Hey, Mia," the singer said. "I need you to do something." Urgency and frustration were visible in her voice.
"What's going on, Y/n? Are you okay?" Mia's concerned voice came through the line.
"It's Lando. He's been in a crash during the race in Vegas, and they've taken him to St. Vincent's Hospital. I'm here, but they won't let me in because I'm not 'family.' That's so stupid."
"I'm sorry, Y/n, but I still don't see what you want me to do."
"I want you to make a donation for the hospital from my account. Send them like $100,000. I think it'll be enough to let me in."
"Okay, I'll take care of it."
"Thanks, Mia. I appreciate it more than you know."
Y/n took a deep breath, trying to calm herself down. Anxiety lingered in the air. But there was no way they wouldn't let her in after that.
Y/n didn't know how much time had passed. She felt as if all she did was staring at a wall in front of her, ocassionally moving her eyes to the floor or the ceiling. She was fidgeting with her fingers as the same nurse approached her.
"Miss Y/l/n, you're allowed to see Mr Norris in the room 305."
Without a word, Y/n rushed to the room. She found Lando lying in the hospital bed, his gaze turning towards the door as she walked in.
"Lando." Y/n breathed his name, rushing to his side and taking his hand in hers. "I was so worried. And they didn't want to let me in at first."
He managed a dazed smile, his eyes slightly glazed. "Hey, you're real, right? This isn't happening in my head?"
Y/n chuckled. "Yes, I'm real. It's me."
He squinted at her. "You sure? You look like a beautiful hallucination."
"Well, if I'm a hallucination, at least a beautiful one."
"I feel like I'm floating on marshmallow clouds, but you're the most beautiful marshmallow I've ever seen."
Y/n couldn't help but laugh. "I think you might be on some strong painkillers, love."
"Ah, that explains the marshmallows. They're having a party in my head," Lando said with a dreamy expression.
Y/n burst into laughter, the tension of the earlier moments disappearing in the room.
"Did you know," Lando continued, "that racing is like trying to catch a rainbow? And if you're lucky, you might find a pot of gold at the end."
"Is there an Irish leprechaun as well?"
"I wouldn't be surprised. Maybe that's who's been guiding me all this time."
"You gotta ask him to make the rainbow less slippery next time then."
He nodded solemnly. "I'll have a serious talk with him. No more slippery rainbows, only smooth, marshmallow clouds."
As they joked around, Y/n couldn't ignore the quiet concern for Lando's well-being. She gently brushed his hair away from his forehead. "You scared me, you know? Seeing you crash like that."
"I'm sorry, love. I didn't mean to scare you. I promise I'll be more careful next time. But you have to promise me something too.""
"What is it?"
"You'll visit me in the marshmallow cloud world sometimes. It gets lonely up there."
Y/n laughed, leaning in to press a gentle kiss on his cheek. "I'll visit anytime you want."
"You know, even in the middle of all this craziness, having you here feels like finding that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow."
As the night carried on, the hospital room became a cocoon shielding them from everything that layed outside its walls. Y/n found herself falling asleep on an armchai next to Lando's bed.
In the quiet ambiance of the night, Lando's mind wandered through the whimsical landscapes of his medication-induced thoughts. He couldn't help but marvel at the coincidence that brought Y/n into his life.
It all started with handing her an award. It seemed like it happened a whole lifetime ago and now, there they were, in the middle of marshmallow clouds.
Y/n, nestled in the armchair, breathed softly in her sleep, completely unaware of Lando's reflections. Soon enough, Lando allowed himself to succumb to the gentle pull of sleep as well.

•••••••
December, 2023
''They scored a last-minute winner- we're out.'' The staff member read out loud, the scoresheet open on his phone.
The huddle, once filled with echoes of celebration, now hung heavy with disappointment. Their Olympic dreams were over, even after winning the match 6-0. Their win at Wembley had given them hope that they could do it, but the Dutch team pulled through, winning their fixture against Belgium 4-0.
One goal.
One goal is what it took for Y/N's world to fall apart.
Teammates exchanged glances, their eyes reflecting the shared sense of loss. The collective effort and triumphs all seemed to dissipate into the air, leaving behind a bitter taste of what could have been.
She could feel Lucy next to her falling to the ground, her older teammate groaning as she took in the news. Y/N patted her shoulder, a lame attempt at comfort.
Sarina started speaking, but she wasn't listening. Her head replayed each moment in their six matches where the young player could have made a difference, but didn't. Y/N knew deep inside that she was not solely to blame for their early exit, football is a team sport and they all had the carry the burden of ''what if”.
As the team dispersed, players walked toward the section where the dedicated fans had stood, expressing their gratitude for the unwavering support they had given them throughout their UWNL journey.
Y/N could feel an arm wrapping around her shoulders, suddenly feeling the warmth of another individual.
As she glanced aside, she smiled at who she found next to her. ''Hey, Beffy.'' The youngster mumbled.
''Hi, darling,'' The Arsenal star sounded just as dejected as she did, ''how you feeling?''
“Not good.” Y/N's usually monotone voice lacked its usual humor, a reflection of the heavy atmosphere.
The winger nodded in understanding. “I know, me too.” She pouted, sharing in the collective disappointment. ''At least we'll get a break next summer.''
''I don't want a break, I wanna play.'' Y/N immediately objected, her tone almost sounding like how a toddler would whine.
Beth remained quiet, knowing that nothing she would say could cure the current heartbreak going through her teammate at the moment. Sometimes, silence spoke louder than words.
In the midst of said silence, Beth gently squeezed Y/N's shoulder, offering a supportive presence.
The next day, the car ride back to North London wasn't the traditional gossip session it normally was. Beth carried the conversation, her younger housemate nodding or muttering a single word once in a while. As they drove through the familiar streets, Beth tried to lighten the mood with a subtle joke or two, attempting to elicit a smile from Y/N. The atmosphere in the car, however, remained heavy with the weight of the recent defeat.
The ringing of Beth's phone interrupted her thoughts on the upcoming Chelsea game, however, a soft smile appeared on her face once she saw who was calling her.
''It's Viv,'' She announced, briefly glancing at her teammate, ''hey, sweetheart.''
Y/N turned her head, attempting to admire the view, but the English weather was making it hard for her. She sighed loudly, the name of the Dutchwoman bringing her back to the group huddle of the day before.
''She's sitting next to me,'' Beth's words pulled her out of her trance, ''sure.''
The blonde tapped her arm, making Y/N turn back around. ''Hmm?'' She confusedly hummed.
''You wanna say something to Viv?'' Beth asked, sweetly.
The teenager simply shook her head, shifting in her seat so she could look out the window again.
The older one frowned at the action, expecting her to want to talk to Vivianne. ''Uh, Viv, she's sleeping, sorry.'' Beth lied, coming up with the quickest excuse she could find.
''Oh, that's okay, I'll see her soon.'' The Dutch striker answered, slight dejection audible in her voice.
They talked for a couple more minutes, but Y/N drowned their conversation out- daydreaming about the day she actually gets to play for Team GB, and winning the gold medal with them.
It was again Beth who took her out of her haze she was in. ''Hey, you okay?''
''Yeah, just tired. Don't feel like talking.'' It had been the longest sentence she had said all day.
Beth nodded understandingly, deciding not to push further, occasionally glancing at Y/N, who seemed lost in her own thoughts.
Eventually, they made it home and their chauffeur helped them with their suitcases.
As soon as they stepped into the house, Y/N swiftly retreated to her room without much interaction. Beth, sensing the weight of the recent disappointment, decided to give her space.
The house felt unusually quiet without the usual banter and laughter. Beth, while sympathizing with her need for solitude, couldn't shake off the somber atmosphere. She figured she would wait for her partner, who wouldn't arrive home for at least another hour.
Beth settled on the couch, flipping through the channels on the television absentmindedly. The sound of a key turning in the front door signaled Vivianne's arrival.
The Brit immediately got up, greeting her girlfriend with a warm embrace.
Vivianne reciprocated, sensing Beth's need for comfort. They held each other for a moment, finding solace in one another's arms.
They moved to the couch, catching up with one another and either offering each other consolation or congratulations. Vivianne noticed the lack of noise in their home- their teenage teammate usually filling the space up with whatever had happened to her that day, and if it wasn't her voice, it was the music from her speakers.
''Is Y/N taking a nap? She must have barely slept if she was already sleeping in the car.'' She asked Beth, frowning.
Her partner sighed at the question. ''Uh, no, she's just… she's having a hard time with it. She really thought we'd gone through to the final four,'' she explained, resulting in a sullen look on Vivianne's face, ''she was actually awake in the car, but she wasn't in the mood to talk.''
Vivianne's expression shifted to one of understanding, but also concern. “I get it, it's tough for her right now.”
''Maybe you can go check on her? We've been home for a while now, maybe that's helped.'' Beth suggested, believing the youngster to have come to terms with it by now, or at least more than in the car.
The striker gently knocked on Y/N's bedroom door, but there was no response. She cautiously pushed it open, finding Y/N laying sideways on her bed, scrolling on her phone.
''Hey,” Vivianne spoke softly, ''can I come in?''
Y/N didn't take her eyes off of her phone, not a single acknowledgement. ''Don't feel like talking.''
''I understand, just wanted to check how you were doing.'' The Dutchwoman sighed.
''Hmm.''
It's like pulling teeth, Vivianne thought to herself.
She hesitated for a moment before deciding to sit on the edge of Y/N's bed. Her eyes stayed fixated on the teenager, hoping to find a sign of openness or willingness to share her feelings.
''Football is cruel. We all wanted to win, and have a chance to qualify. It hurts when it doesn't happen.'' Vivianne tried her best to convey understanding, her voice gentle. ''I wish all of us could go next year.''
It was quiet for a few seconds, the uneasy tension growing. ''Yeah, but we can't.'' Y/N responded, an uncharacteristic harsh tone in her voice.
Vivianne was taken aback by the sudden change, never having heard that tone come out of the girl's mouth. ''I get it, it hurts.''
''You already got to go to the Olympics. It's not fair.''
The older woman sighed at the frustration steaming off of her younger teammate. ''I know it doesn't feel fair, but you have to keep pushing forward. There will be more tournaments, more chances.''
''I wanted to go with Beth. She didn't get to go last time.'' Y/N wasn't directly answering to what Vivianne was telling her, still present in her own world of disappointment.
The older one could sense the resentment. ''Y/N, I get it, I really do. It's not the end, though. You'll have more opportunities, and you'll get to share those moments with Beth.'' She spoke softly.
''Who even says that? The next one is in 2028, Beth might not even play by then anymore.'' The teenager retorted.
''2028 is still a possibility. She has a lot more football left in her, and I'm sure you'll get to experience all of it together.''
Y/N rolled her eyes, dismissing Vivianne's attempt at reassurance. “Just save it. Your team already ruined our chances. Don't pretend like you care about my opportunities.”
“Come on, don-“
Y/N seemed stuck in her moment of frustration. It was hard to think about the future, when the present had become such a huge letdown. ''Viv, I mean this in the nicest way possible, but can you please leave? You're just making me more upset.''
It felt equal to being slapped in the face, in Vivianne's opinion. However, she nodded and gave Y/N's foot a little pat before quietly leaving the room.
Beth noticed Vivianne emerging from Y/N's room with a weary expression. “I think I made it worse.” Vivianne admitted, sitting next to Beth on the couch.
“Why? What did you say?” Beth asked, concerned.
“That it's tough, and that I wished that all of us could go. She just thinks it's really unfair that I already went to the Olympics, meanwhile she and you have never been.” Vivianne explained, her tone dejected.
Beth furrowed her brows, a mixture of frustration and empathy in her eyes. “She's not in the mood to listen, huh?”
Vivianne nodded, “Yeah, she's being a bit… resentful, I don't know.”
The Brit wrapped her arm around her partner, pulling her in as she caressed her arms. “Just give her a bit time. She'll come around. Losing hits her hard. I think it's been a bit much with the World Cup and the Champions League.”
Vivianne agreed. “Yeah, you're right.”
As dinner time approached, the Dutchie decided to prepare a meal, hoping it might lift the heavy atmosphere in the house. She opted for Y/N's favorite dish, a small attempt to lighten her mood. However, the teenager remained in her room, showing no interest in joining them.
Beth decided to bring the plate to the youngster's room, figuring she still wasn't ready to be in other people's presence.
A soft knock on Y/N's door preceded Beth's gentle voice, “Hey, I brought you some dinner.”
Y/N, still upset but hungry, mumbled an acknowledgment.
Beth smiled, and put the tray of food on her desk. “I thought you might be hungry,” she said, trying to break the tension. “It's your favorite.”
Y/N glanced at the food, her expression softening slightly. “Thanks, Beth.”
“Viv made it.” She revealed.
The younger one chuckled. “Yeah, I figured that out pretty quickly.”
“How come?”
“It looks and smells nice.”
“Hey!” Beth jokingly slapped her arm, offended. “You liked that omelet I made you a few weeks ago.”
“I was being polite, Beffy.” Y/N said, a small grin on her face.
The offended woman rolled her eyes. “Whatever, enjoy your nice-smelling food.”
Beth lingered by the doorway, wanting to see her younger companion eat the food with her own eyes.
“You know, Viv spent quite some time making sure it's perfect.“ She spoke up once she noticed Y/N just picking at the food.
Her gaze shifted from the plate to Beth, a hint of curiosity in her eyes. “That's very sweet. I'll thank her later.”
Beth smiled, appreciating the subtle shift in her youngster's demeanor. “I'm sure she'd like that. She put a lot of care into it.”
As Y/N began to eat, Beth hesitated before speaking again. “You know, it's okay to be upset about the game. We all are. But you don't have to take it out on her.”
The teenager looked up, meeting Beth's gaze. There was a moment of vulnerability in her eyes, a silent admission that the disappointment weighed heavier than she let on. “I know,” she whispered, “it's just too much at the moment.”
“I understand, lovey,” Beth stepped away from the door, walking over to Y/N, “we're here for you, okay? You can come talk to us when you feel ready.” She pinched her cheek, hoping her affection showed her genuineness.
Y/N couldn't help but crack a small smile. “I know, Beffy. Thanks.” She mumbled between bites, grateful for the comforting presence of her older teammate.
“You can come and put your plate in the dishwasher once you're done, and maybe apologize to someone…” Her eyebrow was raised.
The Arsenal prodigy chuckled, knowing exactly who Beth was referring to. “Yeah, I will.”
“She doesn't like when people are upset with her, especially you.” Beth admitted.
“I'm not upset with her. I just wasn't ready to be told that everything would be fine and that there would be more chances to go.”
Beth smiled at Y/N's words. “She cares about you a lot, you know? I understand it was a little too early- I'm also still upset. But she meant well, she hates it when you're sad. She wasn't trying to tell dismiss your feelings or anything, she just wants to be here for you.”
Y/N sighed, appreciating her perspective. “Yeah, I know. I'll talk to her later.”
“Good. Now, enjoy your meal, and take your time.” Beth said, leaving Y/N to her dinner and thoughts.

“Does she like it?” Vivianne asked as soon as her girlfriend walked back into the dining room, eager to know the answer.
Beth nodded. “She's eating from it, and said she would thank you later.”
Her partner smiled, a mixture of relief and satisfaction crossing her features. “I'm glad. It's hard seeing her upset.”
“She's still young. You know how these young players get when they lose.” Beth noted.
“Yeah, but still. She also deserves a chance to go to the Olympics, I'm sad for her.” Vivianne knew how much the teenager worked each day, one and off the pitch.
“I know, but we knew from the start that it was only gonna be one team.”
Vivianne nodded. “I just hope she'll understand that it's not about her abilities or efforts. Sometimes, it's just the way things go in this sport.”
Beth squeezed her hand in reassurance. “She knows deep down.”
The couple started their own dinner, taking their minds off the last couple of days and just focus on one another.

It was about two hours later that the Arsenal homegrown came out of her room to go put her plate in the dishwasher- most of that time was spend trying to find the right words to apologize to her Dutch housemate.
As she walked into the living room, she could see that the tv was running, but neither half of the pair was there. Y/N hesitated for a moment, debating whether to disappear into her room again. However, she resumed her walk to the kitchen, not wanting a dirty plate in her room.
In the kitchen, she was met with Vivianne, who had her back turned while being busy trying to make tea.
The teenager awkwardly moved to the dishwasher, and put her plate in, closing it afterwards. The noise startled her teammate.
Vivianne turned around to where Y/N was standing, her hand on her heart. ''Jezus, you scared me.'' She sighed, taking a deep breath to calm herself down.
''Sorry.'' Y/N nervously smiled.
The older woman simply shook her head. ''Don't worry, you just caught me off guard.'' She chuckled.
''Oh, okay.'' The youngster cringed internally at her tense answer. Vivianne offered a smile at the kid's obvious distress, but went back to focusing on her tea-making.
The kitchen atmosphere felt slightly awkward, although it might just have been all in the youngest's mind. Y/N cleared her throat, attempting to break the silence. “Uh, thanks for the food. It was really nice.”
Vivianne turned to face Y/N, her expression softening. “You're welcome. I'm glad you liked it.”
''Uhm, Viv,'' she started fiddling with her hands, ''I'm sorry for earlier. I was upset about the outcome of the matches, but I shouldn't have taken it out on you. You and your team really deserve to go to the Olympics. I'm really sorry.''
The Dutchwoman appreciated the apology, relieved Y/N recognized her behavior. ''Thank you for saying that. I understand it's a tough situation, and I would have had a hard time with it as well, so don't worry about it.'' She told her with a warm smile.
''Thanks, Viv.'' Y/N moved from where she was standing, approaching Vivianne and wrapping her arms around the striker's waist. ''And congratulations, by the way. I'm really happy for you. You worked really hard.''
Vivianne welcomed her hug, reciprocating with a gentle squeeze. ''Thank you, that means a lot to me.''
The tension from earlier had disappeared, and Y/N could feel all the anxiety from earlier, leaving her body.
''Oh, mijn meisjes!'' (''My girls!'') Beth broke the silence, running over and joining the embrace, relieved to see Y/N having followed up on her words. ''I'm so happy to see this. Only smiley faces!'' She exclaimed, her infectious enthusiasm spreading through the room.
''Beth, we were having a moment.'' Vivianne said in a monotone voice, but with a smile on her face.
The Brit jokingly rolled her eyes. ''I'm joining your moment.''
Y/N and Vivianne gave each other a glance before speaking. ''No!''
