This book is for those of you who may have or know or be youth who are members of the LGBTQIA+ community. It’s by Scott Stuart and is called My Shadow is Purple. It celebrates the unique people we all are and that we don’t have to fit into a binary… “There’s more than two colours our shadows can be”. Unfortunately it’s on a list of banned books, but I think it deserves to be read and digested and shared. 🌈

This was the last drawing I finished. I will post more of my work as the days go by. At the time, there was a lot of anti-semitism in the news, and I wanted to commemorate the beauty of Jewish culture through my art

Breaking the Stigma About ADHD and Embracing Neurodiversity
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) is a neurodevelopmental disorder that affects individuals of all ages. It is characterized by inattention, hyperactivity, and impulsivity. ADHD has been misunderstood by society, leading to a negative stigma around it. People with ADHD are often misjudged and stereotyped, which can lead to feelings of shame and low self-esteem. In this article, we…

A little thing I wrote
(this was just a brain dump I wrote it in like 10 mins lol)
We've been asking you to change things for a while. You claim you know what the people want. If that's true, why isn't anything different?
You could be helping those who are suffering. Those who wake up with nothing to eat, or who can't step into a grocery store without getting looked at like a thief.
Instead, you aim to tear down those people, those of us who are different. You make up lies about us, taking away our rights to live and love, just to hide the fact that you can't.
You can't fix it.
You can't be perfect.
But the public can't know that. To you, imperfection is a weakness. So you hide your flaws by turning everyone against each other.
Why can't you see how wrong that is?

That’s fine, and everyone should enjoy and celebrate whatever holidays are meaningful to them.
Just don’t make the mistake of equating holidays that celebrate different things. Christmas is not Christian Hanukah, and Hanukah is not Jewish Christmas.
Don’t put out cards or messages that get their messages wrong.
Peace and goodwill towards all is a great message. And Judaism celebrates those messages. But it’s NOT the message of Hanukah.
Hanukah’s message is that there are things worth fighting for, especially one’s right to be different.
So cards and messages that center how we’re all the same miss the point.
Friendly reminder that interfaith families with a Jewish partner and a Christian partner exist (as do many other configurations of mixed family structures), any holiday decor or greetings cards you see combining Christmas and Hanukkah is more likely than not intended for that specific audience. You don't have to like seeing the two combined, but when you go out of your way to make snide comments the only people getting hurt are people in interfaith families, not the companies making the products.
