Was checking out some record stores yesterday and came across a find that ended up being cooler than it seemed at first glance. In the bin of album covers without records in them being sold for $2, I found this sleeve for Hall & Oates' Big Bam Boom album with some writing and a mysterious sticker on it. Looking closer, the writing matched a Google image search for what their autographs look like. Also, later research showed that their 1985 tour was sponsored by Pontiac and the backstage passes were satin stickers of the kind on this sleeve. Cool stuff!

Classic Iowa Northern by Don Kalkman Via Flickr: Iowa Northern CF7 2493 was sitting in Union Pacific's Beverly yard in Cedar Rapids awaiting shipment to a warmer climate back in 1995.

Built in 1949 as Santa Fe F7 300L, the rebuild was heading to the Florida Central and is now enjoying a warm working vacation in god's waiting room.

In late 2023 it was announced that Canadian National was taking over the Iowa Northern.

The Iowa house is passing a bill for the governor to sign (she 100% will sign it) to take away all and any gender affirming care for minors including but not limited to: Testosterone, estrogen, puberty blockers, being allowed to use any bathrooms that don't aline with your biological sex.
