NEW DELHI: The date sheet for CBSE class 10 and 12 examinations will be released on May 18, HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced in his tweet on Saturday.
Earlier, the minister had announced that the CBSE date sheet for pending exams would be released by 5 pm today, which has now been postponed to Monday i.e., May 18, 2020.
Minister clarified in this tweet that CBSE is taking some additional technical aspects into the consideration before finalising the date sheet. “CBSE is taking into consideration some additional technical aspects before finalizing the date sheets of the board exams of classes 10th and 12th, due to which, the date sheets will now be released by Monday i.e. 18-05-2020. Inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.” – minister said in this tweet.

The HRD minister had earlier announced that the pending CBSE examinations will be conducted from July 1 and conclude on July 15, 2020. The detailed schedule for the pending 29 exams, however, will be released on May 18.
CBSE class 10 examination will be held only for the students from North East Delhi, but class 12 examination will be conducted nationwide.
CBSE had postponed all the board examinations that were to be conducted between March 19 to 31, 2020, as a precautionary measure and in compliance of the instructions received from Secretary, Department of Higher Education/ School Education and Literacy, Government of India.
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation Board was not able to conduct exams on 8 examination days. Also, due to the law and order situation in the North East Delhi District the board was not able to conduct exams on 4 examination days, while a very small number of students from and around this District were not able to appear in exams on 6 examination days.
