NEW DELHI: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) Monday announced the date sheet for the pending class 10 and 12 board exams, which will now be held from July 1-15.

The exams were postponed due to the nationwide lockdown imposed on March 25 to contain the spread of COVID-19. The class 10 board exams are pending only in North East Delhi.

“The class 10 exams will be staggered on four dates, starting July 1. The first paper will be of Social Sciences, while the next day students will be required to appear for Science exam,” Sanyam Bhardwaj, the Controller of Examination, CBSE said.

“On July 10, exams will be conducted for both courses of Hindi and on July 15 for both courses of English,” he said.

On health guidelines for students, Bhardwaj said, they will be required to carry their own sanitiser bottles and wear masks to their examination centres.

“Parents will have to ensure their ward is not sick and candidates will have to strictly follow physical-distancing norms,” he said.

For class 12, the Home Science exam will be held on July 1, followed by both courses of Hindi the next day. The class 12 Business Studies exam has been scheduled for July 9, followed by Biotechnology on July 10, and Geography on July 11

CBSE date sheet 2020 released: Know about CBSE class 12, and 10 timetable

The Central Board of Secondary Education examination for CBSE class 10 and CBSE class 12 will begin on February 15, 2020, the board announced on Tuesday. While the CBSE 12th exam will end on March 30, those for CBSE 10th will end on March 20.

Over 3 million students are expected to sit for the CBSE 10th and 12th exams 2020. According to the CBSE date sheet 2020, the exams will be conducted till March 30.

The practical exams for both CBSE 10th and CBSE 12th would be held from January 1, 2020 to February 7, 2020.

The datesheet has been prepared well in advance so that students get sufficient time between examination of main subjects and the distribution of students is in such away that large number of candidates do not reach any examination centre on any particular date, said the CBSE Controller of Examinations, Sanyam Bhardwaj in a notice released by the Board on the official webiste . NEW DELHI: The date sheet for CBSE class 10 and 12 examinations will be released on May 18, HRD minister Ramesh Pokhriyal announced in his tweet on Saturday.

Earlier, the minister had announced that the CBSE date sheet for pending exams would be released by 5 pm today, which has now been postponed to Monday i.e., May 18, 2020.

Minister clarified in this tweet that CBSE is taking some additional technical aspects into the consideration before finalising the date sheet. “CBSE is taking into consideration some additional technical aspects before finalizing the date sheets of the board exams of classes 10th and 12th, due to which, the date sheets will now be released by Monday i.e. 18-05-2020. Inconvenience caused is sincerely regretted.” – minister said in this tweet.

The HRD minister had earlier announced that the pending CBSE examinations will be conducted from July 1 and conclude on July 15, 2020. The detailed schedule for the pending 29 exams, however, will be released on May 18.

CBSE class 10 examination will be held only for the students from North East Delhi, but class 12 examination will be conducted nationwide.

CBSE had postponed all the board examinations that were to be conducted between March 19 to 31, 2020, as a precautionary measure and in compliance of the instructions received from Secretary, Department of Higher Education/ School Education and Literacy, Government of India.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation Board was not able to conduct exams on 8 examination days. Also, due to the law and order situation in the North East Delhi District the board was not able to conduct exams on 4 examination days, while a very small number of students from and around this District were not able to appear in exams on 6 examination days.
