It was especially awkward in high school when several classmates got pregnant. It was part distraction, part burden because no one was supposed to know, but I knew. Not that I was going to blab it to anyone, but it felt like I had inadvertently invaded their privacy. I was aware of a secret I was never told. Though it did baffle me how no one else seemed to pick up on it until it was blatant to anyone.
