Esom to Host Buil Film Awards 2023 Solo After Lee Je Hoon’s Emergency Surgery
Tumblr media
Esom and Lee Je Hoon were supposed to co-host the 32nd Buil Film Awards, but the latter had to withdraw due to health issues. Esom will now take on the challenge of hosting the prestigious event by herself, making history as the first solo female MC of the ceremony.
What Happened to Lee Je Hoon?
Lee Je Hoon, who starred with Esom in the hit drama “Taxi Driver”, was rushed to the hospital on October 1 after experiencing severe abdominal pain. He was diagnosed with ischemic colitis, a condition that causes inflammation and reduced blood flow in the colon. He underwent emergency surgery on October 2 and is currently recovering at the hospital.

(Photo : Lee Je Hoon Instagram) His agency, COMPANY ON, released a statement on October 3, confirming his absence from the Buil Film Awards and the Busan International Film Festival 2023, where he was scheduled to appear with Park Eun Bin for their movie “The Silent Sea”. - “We will have to watch the progress of his recovery, but he will probably have to be hospitalized for about a week,” the agency said. Fans and colleagues expressed their concern and support for Lee Je Hoon, wishing him a speedy recovery. - “I hope he gets well soon. He’s such a talented actor and a good person,” one fan commented. - “Lee Je Hoon, fighting! We’re waiting for you to come back healthy and happy,” another fan wrote. - “I’m so sorry to hear that. I hope he recovers quickly and smoothly. He’s one of my favorite actors,” a fellow actor said.
How Will Esom Handle the Hosting Duties?
Esom, who was originally paired with Lee Je Hoon as the MCs of the Buil Film Awards, will now host the event alone. The organizers decided not to replace Lee Je Hoon and instead entrusted Esom with the sole responsibility of leading the ceremony.

(Photo : Cosmopolitan Korea Official) Esom is known for her versatile acting skills and charming personality. She has appeared in various movies and dramas, such as “Scarlet Innocence”, “Microhabitat”, “Save Me 2”, and “Dr Cheon and Lost Talisman”. She has also won several awards, including Best Actress at the 39th Blue Dragon Film Awards for her role in “Microhabitat”. Esom expressed her gratitude and excitement for being chosen as the host of the Buil Film Awards. - “I’m honored and happy to be part of such a meaningful event. I’m also nervous because it’s my first time hosting an awards ceremony, especially by myself. But I’ll do my best to make it a memorable night for everyone,” she said. Esom also revealed that she had been preparing for the hosting gig with Lee Je Hoon before his sudden surgery. - “We had a lot of fun rehearsing together. He’s a great partner and a friend. I’m sad that he can’t join me, but I hope he recovers soon and returns to his fans,” she said. Esom added that she will dedicate her hosting performance to Lee Je Hoon and wish him well on stage. - “I’ll try to convey his spirit and energy through my hosting. I’ll also send him a message of support and love during the ceremony. I hope he can watch it from his hospital bed and feel better,” she said.
What Can We Expect from the Buil Film Awards 2023?
The Buil Film Awards is one of the oldest and most prestigious film awards in South Korea. It was established in 1996 by the Busan-based daily newspaper Busan Ilbo along with sponsor Hwaseung Group. It aims to promote and celebrate Korean cinema and its achievements. The 32nd Buil Film Awards will take place on October 5 at Signiel Busan, a luxury hotel located near Haeundae Beach. Day 3: Lotte World, Lotte Aquarium, (Shopping) and Lotte Sky World
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Day 3 was interesting because I was at the height of my period pain. It was an exciting day, but a bit nerve wrecking for me because it was RIDES! I hate rides. The idea of it sounds fun, but my scaredy-height-fearing ass knew that it will kill me.
But Diana love rides, so of course we’d go. Thankfully they also have haunted houses and we also went, in which Diana hates haunted houses so it’s s win-win, lose-lose for us.
We were too chill before heading to Lotte World, had our Isaac Toast and Ediya coffee and rewatched what we vlogged the past two days, we left the hotel quite late.
I think it would be more fun if it weren’t for the long queues for most of the rides, which caused us to not be able to hit all the rides, and there were a lot of VR rides.
My nightmare came in two, the first one was the turning teacup. Okay, it was not a teacup this time around it was like a basket, the concept was snakes in a basket but you need to turn it very fast and I almost puked. I closed my eyes the whole time because I felt like I was about to faint. The second nightmare was the Gyro Spin but we’ll get into that later.
We bought cute headbands! Which made me so happy! I’ve always wanted to put on cute headbands and walk around in public. So I bought the bunny ears one, and Diana bought like something with ears too but with a fish ornament, I don’t even know what to call it. We were so cute!!! Lotte World is the only place where you would look normal wearing cute headbands, you can’t be walking around like that usually. I love how Koreans like to dress up in themes? Almost everyone were dressed in costumes or at least has that cute headband, the costumes were either student costumes or costumes related to Halloween. We looked so out of place, hence the need for the cute headbands.
I lost count on how many rides we went to but only 1 would be considered a proper ride, at least in my books which was the Gyro Spin (the second nightmare), we queued for so long it was insane and I almost had a heart attack while on the ride it doesn’t feel safe at all my back was exposed!!! I could flung out anytime. But I am still well and alive and typing this.
We had some random hotteok and sausage because damn, I’ve never felt so famished, maybe because of all the waiting. Next would be the haunted house! We had to book a timeslot and only Zombie Subway was available, it was like an immersive haunted house. Apparently there was another one that was scarier which was Zombie Prison but the timeslot for that was at 6pm and we couldn’t wait.
Since we couldn’t film inside let me describe the experience here, so when we went in we were required to sit on the two rows of seats, facing each other. It was just like Train To Busan where we are on our way to somewhere and suddenly the train broke down. We couldn’t understand a word of what the train conductor was saying, but I’m assuming he was telling us there was something wrong and he asked us to stay put. The “windows” were screens so it’s also kinda like a VR thing and you could see there were zombies outside and then it went dark and the door opened!
Holy shit, it was scary. I love immersive haunted houses! Then it went completely dark, and we waited for awhile, the lights turned on and off and we can see the Zombie walking around the aisle of the train in front of us, they were so good at it too.
There was also one Zombie who was carrying a chainsaw, what the hell. We weren’t allow to move or interact with the actors so it’s even worse. Finally they asked us to leave the train but before we could, a zombie came inside and did a jump-scare I literally sat on someone, sorry human!
It was a short experience but funny.
Next was the Aquarium, I love aquariums! I love fish and sea animals. My favourite would probably be the seal, the whale, the penguins and the giant octopus. So interesting, I’ve never seen them in real life. For the seal, it kept on doing the same move of swimming to the front and kicking its feet back to swim backwards, Diana named it “the one trick pony” and we laughed for a good while, another inside joke was born.
We saw some otters that looked like Miso too. They’re so cute but I know they are mean and deadly in nature.
Last stop before dinner and shopping was Lotte Sky World, our expectation was LOW. How interesting would a tower be? Boy, wow did we changed our minds. When we went in there was a group of corporate people who had a personal guide, and we were like eavesdropping to it, getting free guides pretending to be important people. Oh, by the way the Lotte Sky World was where Namjoon and Yoongi did one of their Run BTS penalty, another BTS crumb.
The entrance was quite dramatic, they made us sit in rows and watch this presentation on how Seoul was during the Joseon dynasty and all the dynasties. It was so unexpected for the screen to lift revealing Seoul skyline as the sun was setting? Dude, my heart dropped to my stomach in awe! I love how dramatic the reveal was and how unexpected it was for us as well, everyone’s jaw was on the floor.
We took tons of pictures just trying to capture the moments, it was amazing and beyond words, the contrasting hues of orange and blue with a hint of purple as the city lights illuminate it. Everything was pretty in contrast yet it blends so seamlessly. Seeing how the city comes alive at night, and how small everything seems, yet down there, there are millions of people living their own lives, it all felt so surreal and grounding (ironically we were very far from the ground).
There was also a photo-booth that Diana and I managed to take pictures at, Korea is known for that, yet it took us 3 days to actually do it, and that was the only time that we actually did it even though there were tons of self photo-booth we saw over the next few days of our trip.
After the amazing experience at Lotte Sky World we went into the mall to look for food, the food was alright, not mind blowing unlike Myeongdong Kyoja. I was so excited for thisisneverthat store, love that brand and going to its actual physical store made me excited, Casetify physical store too! But they didn’t have what I wanted so we skipped.
We discovered earpearp store selling phone casings and pod casings for cheap, we of course bought a few, one of our favourite finds. I’m still using the airpods casing that I first put on there till today. I bought two phone casings and two airpods casings.
We ended the day that way, what an amazing day.

Okay it does disappoint me that season 2 was not at all as solid as season 1 which I had immediately rewatched when that season had ended but idk dude, I've got mixed feelings n idk if its cause the finale felt rushed to me ?? Cause that ending, listen love the aspect of max having her powers, but um wasn't most of the season them being far apart n max constantly singing heart songs to rose even at the airport (n I thought it was zoey having a dream again when he showed up like last minute)
N like I loved that zoey talked about how some aren't meant for each other n I honestly thought that was a lil bit her moving on from max but maybe I misread, probably more about Simon which i know thats who they were talking about but still ya kno
Anyway I still would love a season 3 cause I enjoy the cast sm n I hope the plot is more solid

Sean Connery Bond Villains ranked from Least favorite to favorite
1.Only one villain per movie
2.Will count each Blofeld as seperate characters
3.No Henchmen
4.I havent seen all of Never Say Never Again ,and from what I have seen it wouldnt effect the rankings at all
Anyway onto the ranking
6.Emilio Largo from Thunderball
Now this might seem like an odd choice , cause visually he is one of the most iconic villains in the series.....But thats the thing, other then he looks , I struggle to tell ya anything about him .Alll he has going for him is he wears an eyepatch ....THATS IT
Tumblr media
5.Ernst Stavro Blofeld from You Only Live Twice
I can explain.I know for some people ,Donald Pleasance's Blofeld is top tier, and I GET IT.Donald Pleasence is a phenomenal actor ,he looks amazing with the scarred face , and he is genuinely unsettling.....But my problem is we really dont properly meet him till the climax !!! At least for me , I wanted more of him because he didnt make enough of an impression
Tumblr media
4.Julius No from Dr No
Oh Julius.....I am so split on you.On positives , I think as an antagonist he is menacing ,with a cool gimick with the metal hands ,a monotone voice that gives off an air of superiority,he is built up well ,and I LOVE his dinner scene with Bond where he calls him a "Stupid little police man " and for being the first cinematic Bond villain ,he is effective........But I have two big problems with him.First is much like Pleasences Blofeld ,he is barely in the film......And the other is a bigger problem:His casting .See Julius No is German-Chinese.....And Joseph Wiseman is not ,in fact it seems that no Chinese actor at all was considered for Julius ,and I think thats kind of shitty
Tumblr media
3.Rosa Klebb from From Russia With Love
So From Russia With Love is fascinating cause it has a villainous ensamble ,but the one in the forefront and the final boss is Rosa Klebb. She is the number 3 of SPECTRE ,so she isnt top dog ,but she is high on the foodchain .Lotte Lenya really brings a presence to Klebb being someone to be feared.....But when you see her react with fear to Blofeld ,that makes Blofeld even scarier .She also the first female main villain in the series (Kind of sad there have only been two )
Tumblr media
2.Ernst Stavro Blofeld from Diamonds are Forever
.....Yes.....I like Charles Gray's Blofeld more then Donald Pleasence....And yes ,he is my number 2 Connery Bond villain ....I make no appologies. I love how campy he is ,I find him legit funny ,and honestly I dont need my villains to be super serious all the time .I think its a shame most people dismiss this guy
Tumblr media
1. Auric Goldfinger from Goldfinger
The villain who codified Bond villains .He's a change of pace from the other Connery villains cause he is NOT a SPECTRE member,he is a independant villain just doing his own thing .I love his jovial attitude ,which is contrasted by how coldblooded he is .He is my second favorite Bond villain of them all

The sounds of crickets chirping fills the air, a wine glass in your hand as you look at the stars above in the sky from the comfort of your front porch.
Inside, your parents were talking about the most mundane of things with Jin’s parents, while the kids were busy preoccupying themselves playing with their newly gifted Nintendo 64. And after getting tired of constantly losing to them, here you were, taking a break from the chaos going on inside.
Seojun was arriving tomorrow, from there you’d only be here for the remainder of the weekend and then back home to your apartment in Seoul, as if nothing ever happened. Ever since yesterday, something was eating at you. You just weren’t sure what. And the only thing you could look at to ease your anxiousness was the ring on your finger, a solid reminder that you had a future to look forward to and that the past was buried six feet under.
Taking a gulp of the drink in your hand, you mentally curse Jin. Why did he have to return? Out of all years, this had to be the one he chose to magically come back in? “Damn you Seok—”
“Y/N?” you look up to see the person you were just damning, car keys in hand. It looked as if he was originally planning on going somewhere, but must’ve walked over here once he saw you sitting here by yourself.
“Seokjin,” you say, a mixture of both shock and displeasure evident in your voice.
Relief washes over him when hearing your response because unbeknownst to you, from afar you looked as if you were completely knocked out, a result of the position you were in while you were deeply thinking. Immediately he eyes the wine glass in front of you, everything beginning to make sense.
“You looked um—” shaking his head, he disregards what he was going to say, “Sorry I’ll just get going.”
And maybe it was the wine talking, but rather than keep quiet and watch him leave, you call out to him, “You can—” you hesitate to continue, “You can sit here if you want,” you say, “that’s only if you want to of course, I’m not forcing you to do anything you don’t want to because I’m not exactly physically capable of doing that and—”
Jin interrupts your tipsy rambling by sitting at an appropriate distance from you, a soft chuckle escaping from his lips, “You always did like getting drunk off wine,” he whispers under his breath, a small smile on his lips.
For a while, the two of you remain in silence, simply staring at the view above. That was of course until you asked him a simple question, “Where were you going?” you mumble.
Bringing his attention towards you, his eyes soften, “Just wanted some fresh air,” he simply answers, being completely truthful.
Silently you nod, “Mm that’s good,” you say, your cheeks a soft tinge of red because of the wine.
“So…”
“So…” you mimic him, causing him to playfully roll his eyes.
“How have you been?” he attempts to break the ice, “I realized I didn’t really ask you that yesterday…”
It was funny really, the two of you truly had become strangers in a sense, just like how he said you two would be that night. But in a way, it also made things more interesting, it was as if he was getting the chance to know you for the second time in his life.
“I’ve been..” you hesitate to find the right word, ultimately deciding on the simplest one you knew, “I’ve been good,” you say, “I’m doing something I love, have an apartment I completely adore, and I found someone—” you stop yourself from continuing.
“You found someone you love?” he says for you, and silently you nod, remaining silent for a moment.
“Why did you—” you pause before continuing, “Why did you become a businessman?” you ask, the question having been on your mind since the day before.
Casually, he shrugs, “There was no future in the world of entertainment for me y/n,” he states, “so I went back to college, worked my ass off, and got a degree in financial accounting. From there the job offers came pretty easily and now I’m a traveling business analyst.”
“Did you do it because of your da—”
He’s quick to nod his head no, “I did it for—,” and at the last second he changes what he was originally going to say, “I did it for myself,” and you feel yourself getting angry.
“But it wasn’t what you dreamed of, it wasn’t something you loved!” you unintentionally shout.
“Hey hey hey,” he places a hand on your shoulder, “any louder and the whole neighborhood will hear you,” he attempts to joke around, and you feel your face get redder than it already was.
Letting go of your shoulder, he looks back up to the stars, his voice becoming soft, “The night I told you about wanting to seriously pursue becoming a director, you told me that if I failed, the real question would be if I’d be able to accept it…” your gaze falls on him while he continues to look up into the sky, “At first I wasn’t able to… I was too ashamed to admit to failure, but—” he smiles, “when I finally did, it almost felt liberating. And so I realized sometimes you have to give up the things you love, for a better shot at a future.”
Bullshit.
Complete bullshit.
That’s what you want to say to him.
And so you do.
“That’s complete utter bullshit Seokjin,” you mutter, taking a sip of your drink, “because if it isn’t then that makes you a selfish person, and you’re the farthest thing from selfish. So that’s just bullshit and you know it.”
He laughs, “It is, isn't it?”
Not expecting him to agree, you look at him in shock before grouchily looking away, focusing your gaze on anything but him.
Failing to hear the brief sharp hissing sound of his zipper being pulled down, you suddenly feel the placement of his sweater over your shoulders. You furrow your brows in confusion, “You’re shivering like a chihuahua,” he explains, scratching his neck like he always did whenever he was nervous.
Crossing your arms, you attempt to hide your face which you were sure by now was as red as a tomato. What the hell were you doing? Sitting here talking to your ex boyfriend of 6 years while your fianceé was probably well on his way here… it was wrong, it was inappropriate. So then if you knew that then why did it feel so … you brush the thought off before you could complete it.
“Because he was your friend first and as much as you hate to admit it,  he'll always mean something to you…” you tell yourself, feeling guilty at the thought.
“Y/N?” he says your name, bringing you back to reality.
You look at him, wondering why he said your name out of the blue.
“Do you—” it was now his turn to hesitate, “Do you hate me?” he finally asks, and immediately your mind says no. You could never hate him, even if you wanted to.
He stares at you, anxiously waiting for a response.
“No I don’t.” you simply say, not bothering to elaborate any further, but for Jin that was enough. It was enough to tell him that you still …
“Seojun…” you whisper under your breath, a car pulling into the driveway of your house, a look of surprise on your face. Immediately you push off the jacket from your shoulders, catching Seokjin by surprise.
“So this is who he is…” Jin thinks to himself, watching the handsome man come out of the car, a grin on his face as he locks eyes with you.
Walking towards him, Jin watches as you lovingly greet the man with a kiss to the cheek, the two of you then walking towards him. “Seojun this is Seokjin, his parents are the neighbors,” Seojun offers his hand out, a polite smile on his face, “Seokjin this is Seojun, my fianceé,” the two shake hands. Your past and present finally meeting.
“Seokjin which means to be a great treasure,” Seojun attempts to make small conversation.
“He’s a linguist,” you explain, awkwardly chuckling, noting the fake smile on Seokjin’s face.
“Mm I see,” he mumbles, bitterness in his voice.
“I thought you weren’t coming till tomorrow?” you ask your fianceé, still surprised by his sudden appearance.
He shrugs, “What can I say, I got bored,” he laughs, “So I said my goodbyes early, and decided why not come here to surprise you,” he kisses your forehead, and Jin feels the green eyed monster making its way out.
“Well I should get going,” Jin states.
“You sure?” you widen your eyes at Seojun’s sudden question, “I mean I love your dad y/n but it’d be nice to have someone else to talk to,” he chuckles, “and well I definitely wanna hear about what y/n was like as a teenager from someone who isn’t one of her parents.”
You and Jin both make awkward eye contact, unsure of what to say. “Maybe some other time,” Jin manages to say, “I have to um…” he flusters, “um..”
“Finish typing up that business report you were talking about,” you make an excuse for him.
He snaps his fingers, pretending that that was what he was trying to say, “Mmhmm yeah!” he scratches his neck, “My job just doesn’t want me resting, not even for the holidays, you know how it is...” he adds on, coming for the Actor of the Year award at next year's Oscars.
Seojun surprisingly believes it, “Damn, that’s too bad,” he scratches his chin, a sign that he was thinking of something, “Well are you coming to our engagement party? Maybe we can talk then,” he says, and if your eyes weren’t already wide enough, by now they were well on their way to falling onto the floor. Seojun was just too kind for his own good.
Jin practically chokes on his own spit, “I um—”
Realizing that you probably forgot to invite him, Seojun interrupts before Jin could feel any more embarrassed, “January 12, at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, 6PM sharp.”
Feeling his face get red, Seokjin nods, “Yeah I’ll be there,” he forces a laugh.
Patting his shoulder, Seojun smiles, “I look forward to talking to you then,” he says, beginning to make his way inside, with you following closely behind, a guilt-ridden look on your face.
Now by himself, Jin silently cursed to himself. Damn him! Seojun wasn’t at all the asshole Seokjin made him out to be in his head. But damn did he want him to be one…. then it’d be much easier to hate the man, and it’d make him much less guilty for what he was planning to do….

VICTOR YAXLEY is TWENTY-FOUR YEARS OLD and a SOCIALITE amongst THE SACRED TWENTY-EIGHT in LONDON. He looks remarkably like NAT WOLFF and considers himself NEUTRAL. He is currently TAKEN.
→ OVERVIEW:
The youngest of the infamous Yaxley twins, Victor Yaxley could be described as an outlandish character for those who had not met his sister ELEANOR. Born into a very wealthy family a few moments after his older sister, Victor followed Eleanor into the world and would spend his life doing the exact same thing thereafter. The only son of ELIJAH YAXLEY and ISMENA FLINT, Victor would have had an easy life if he had been an only child. The Yaxley family were fabulously wealthy, with influential ties to the Ministry through his uncle CORBAN. It was tradition that the eldest son, would take over the helm of the Yaxley family after the passing of Victor’s grandfather, but Victor’s father had always been more concerned with the stage than with balls and advantageous unions, prompting his grandmother ZARIAH YAXLEY to pressure his father into settling down and eventually marrying his mother. A larger than life man, Elijah had worked in the theatre since graduating Hogwarts, which Victor’s grandmother had always despised. A traditional woman, Zariah fiddled in the lives of her sons as she would later come to fiddle in the lives of her grandchildren. Before his marriage, Elijah had lived a life of chaos, chasing chorus girls and putting on lavish productions at the playhouse which made their family cringe. Victor had always gotten the impression from his father that marrying into the Flint family had broken his creative spirit in some way.
After Victor and Eleanor were born, Elijah had tried to maintain his life at the theatre and Victor’s very early years were littered with memories of sitting in the front row watching his father leap around on stage pledging his undying love for actresses who wore glittering costumes Elijah had helped design. The theatre was Elijah’s passion and Victor’s mother, Ismena’s passion had been his father Elijah. Despite being raised to always think of how you were perceived by others, Ismena did her best to ignore the constant whispers as she clapped for her husband and told her children how proud she was of their father. It was when Victor and Eleanor began to grow old enough to hear the whispers themselves his mother urged Elijah to give up the stage. When it came to drawing up marriage contracts both Ismena and Zariah knew families like the Blacks and the Malfoys married their children to Pure-Bloods entering society, not the children of an actor and playwright. Despite no longer working for the theatre, the Yaxley family could not outrun Elijah’s passion. The people he’d worked with were replaced with his children and Victor’s sister became the star of the show. Eleanor, like their father, demanded attention and whilst Ismena and Zariah tried to rear Victor to one day be the head of the family, as it seemed his sister was destined for a life like her father, Eleanor didn’t quite seem to get the message and treated him like her personal assistant rather than a brother.
As she stood in the family parlour during her one woman shoes, Victor was reduced to making costumes and dressing her in them or ushering their family in to watch her sing. His sister was the only thing that eased his father’s departure from the theatre, but even Victor could see Eleanor wasn’t enough to make him happy. No one ever commented on it, but Victor would watch it all unfold silently. His mother would often tell him to stand up to his sister and demand her respect but Victor found it difficult to take advice from a woman who had allowed her husband to treat her so terribly. It was frustrating feeling to know that in their family Victor and his mother would only ever be supporting characters though he resided not to argue with his parents or sister about it. In Victor’s opinion, Eleanor was only capable of loving herself. She was a dead ringer for their father who had never taken an interest in anyone who couldn’t give him something he wanted. As he listened to his family he made a silent promise to himself to not end up like them. Unhappy and thrown together into a situation of convenience that would never manifest true happiness. He had hoped Hogwarts would be the start of finding that happiness he so desperately desired. Although Victor was much quieter than his sister and overlooked because of that, he had all the grandeur and showmanship of his father.
Out of his school robes, Victor only wore expensive, hand tailored clothing and often had a hand in the process of designing all of the garments he wore. It was his love for his appearance and an ability to withstand being around very strong personalities that attracted the attention of NARCISSA BLACK. Sorted into Slytherin alongside her, Narcissa was everything his sister could never be but what Victor’s mother and grandmother hoped strict schooling would turn her into. Narcissa was image conscious and constructed a friendship group of beautiful people like him and his sister. VIOLET BULSTRODE and PERSEPHONE WILKES were perfect till they opened their mouths and REGULUS BLACK and RABASTAN LESTRANGE were handsome, stoic and quiet which seemed to be how Narcissa preferred her company. Although Victor was fond of her, the constant noise from the people that surrounded her and close proximity to his sister drew him to become friends drew him to become friends with WILLIAM GOYLE and ALECTO and AMYCUS CARROW, fellow Slytherins who floated on the edge of his original group of friends. The new group allowed Victor to explore a side of himself he’d never been brave enough to look at. Alecto and Amycus were trouble maker twins with a relationship which made him envious. Amycus let Alecto take the lead but was always there to catch her when she fell or jump aboard a plan she had to make the lives of those she hated miserable.
He wondered if he and Eleanor could have been that way if he’d been more comfortable giving her the limelight or if she’d have been happy to share it. At first his friendship with the twins and William was to help boost his ego but then it became about something else entirely. Amycus Carrow was feared by all who knew him, but Victor saw something else. He was always seen as a monster, but Victor told himself it was mostly for show. The love he had for Alecto seemed too pure for him to be completely evil and although Victor projected a very firm and cold stance to the outside world, he allowed Amycus to see a softer side to him he believed they both shared. Victor found beauty and meaning in every owl he received from him and each glance and kiss exchanged after parties in dark corridors filled Victor with the promise of something more. Even when Amycus and his family were disgraced due to his father’s gambling, Victor was still willing to marry him and offer him every happiness. The Yaxley family refused to hear of it. As they lectured him on appearance and the importance of strong ties, his father sat oddly quiet. Elijah had never been much of a father but with their family reputation in the balance, Victor had thought he would say something, but he wouldn’t. Unbeknownst to Victor, his mother and sister, his father would have been a hypocrite. More than the love of the stage had prevented him from being a proper father and husband, leaving him with little a leg to stand on.
CHRISTINE MAY was a Muggle actress and ¼ veela who had worked opposite his father for many years. Their professional chemistry had carried off screen and due to his stupidity or perhaps out of love, three children had been born. ADAIRIA LINWOOD and LAUREL LINWOOD were born before he’d married Ismena and had been swept under the carpet by Zariah. MAREN LINWOOD was born after Victor and Eleanor and had been a closely guarded secret his grandmother and father had tried their best to keep. A year their junior, Maren had been a favourite target of Victor and Eleanor’s at school to bully. A Muggle-Born witch, they’d known her from choir and despised her talent and prettiness, none the wiser her talent ran in their veins too. Knowing that if their birth was made public it would ruin the family, Victor’s grandmother had done her best to steer the family away from drama and draw up good contracts for the rest of the family to wither the storm should it come. As such she had thrown the twins at anyone she deemed worthy and sent numerous owls to RITA SKEETER to push her endeavours and make them seem more eligible to other families. Sick of her interfering, Victor hatched a plan to keep his grandmother at bay and plan his path to happiness. Scheming with former schoolmate Persephone Wilkes, the pair have been plotting a scandal sure to keep their annoying relatives at bay and cause the right kind of stir on the Sacred Twenty-Eight social scene.

My Review of Little Witch Academia
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Atsuko Kagari (nicknamed Akko) has always had a fascination with witches. Or should I say one particular witch! When she was a child, she saw a magic performance done by a famous witch named Shiny Chariot. After that, Akko decided then and there that she was going to become a witch just like Shiny Chariot. So when she became a teenager, she got the opportunity to enroll at Luna Nova Magical Academy. While this school has primarily been a place for witch’s only to hone on their skills, due to financial issues they opened the school up to non-magic users. And Akko has no magic in her whatsoever!
Tumblr media
We follow the antics of Akko as she tries to survive in a witch academy. During her time she’s managed to snag a wand that was once owned by Shiny Chariot (which she plans to return to), meet friends like Lotte and Sucy, start a rival with the school star Diana Cavendish, get one-on-one training from Professor Ursula (who has her own kind of past), and learn everything there is to know about becoming a great witch. But Akko is going to have a tough time because like I said, she has no magic in her whatsoever! BETWEEN THE SUB AND THE DUB: As I mentioned at the beginning, this series is under the thumb of Netflix (in every country). I haven’t had the opportunity to check out the subtitled version. As for the dub…boy, Erica Mendez is getting the choice roles in Netflix exclusive animes. I can’t complain, the lady does fine work. Plus Netflix gives me a chance to hear other new voice actors and seiyuus. Some were big misses with me, but others (like Sucy’s voice) won me over. Here’s what you might recognize these folks from. JAPANESE CAST: *Akko is played by Megumi Han (known for Yamato on Ore Monogatari, Momiji on Fruits Basket 2019, Kagari on Steins;Gate 0, Rio on YGO Zexal, and Chie on Tokyo Ghoul) *Sucy is played by Michiyo Murase *Lotte is played by Fumiko Orikase (known for Dianthe on Pokemon XY, Kyubei on Gintama, Riza on FMA: Brotherhood, Seras Victoria on Hellsing, Shirley on Code Geass, Rukia on Bleach, and Aki on Inazuma Elven) ENGLISH CAST: *Akko is played by Erica Mendez (known for Ryuko on Kill la Kill, Haruka/Uranus on Sailor Moon redub, Emma on The Promised Neverland, Nico on Love Live, Yuuki on SAO II, Retsuko on Aggretsuko, and Tsubaki on Your Lie in April) *Sucy is played by Rachelle Heger *Lotte is played by Stephanie Sheh (known for Mikuru on Haruhi Suzumiya, Kuro on Blue Exorcist, Nui on Kill la Kill, Hinata on Naruto, Orihime on Bleach, Illiya on Fate/stay night, Yui on K-ON, and Usagi/Sailor Moon on Sailor Moon) FAVORITE CHARACTER: I know in stories like these I always root for the underdog and they end up my favorite character…buuuuuuut…
Tumblr media
I like Sucy! Yeah, I like the little mischevious, mushroom-loving witch. And yes, I love the episode where Akko goes inside Sucy's subconscious and we see all the Sucy's inside Sucy.
Tumblr media
DISLIKED CHARACTER: I knew I couldn’t really hate Diana! I think most of the hatred I shared at her direction for the majority of the season was because of those two cronies that hung around her. Those two were catty bitches and I just hate those kinds of characters. But nothing could compare to Diana’s bitch aunt.
Tumblr media
God, fuck this woman! She literally tries to usurp Diana from taking over as head of the Cavendish family line. Just so she can give it to one of her bitch daughters! She’s seriously giving me Lady Tremaine vibes, it’s not even funny. You know it’s bad that I was rooting for them to die when they got into trouble. But Diana wasn’t going to let her bitch aunt and bitch cousins die so I should stop hoping for severe payback. SHIPPING: Hmm…the shipping category is going to be fun! I think it’s only because of that one episode that involves a bee sting and the person is smitten with the next person they see. And boy did Akko get her fill when not only Andrew falls for her, but Diana as well!
Tumblr media
Actually, I have thoughts of Andrew really taking a shine to Akko. I honestly thought there would only be two interactions at the most between him and Akko during the show. But surprisingly, there were more. I’m not really a fan of this ship, but I still find it cute. Hell, even Lotte found a boy that was interested in her at one point. She turns him down, but he still holds out hope. Also a cute moment! Hmm…at the moment I’m an open multishipper for this series. If Akko ends up with Diana, cool man! If she ends up with Andrew, whatever, I can dig it! If Akko ends up with Amanda, more power to you (and I can totally see that because Amanda is giving me total lesbo-vibes). What do you expect, this is like an all-girls school!
Tumblr media
You know what, I’m now leaning towards Akko x Amanda more than all the others. Don’t fight me on this, I just know I like it! ENDING: Up until the halfway point, a lot of the episodes are about Akko trying to make it as a witch. Did she surpass everyone’s doubts? While Akko was able to improve her magic a bit (I give it 5%), it’s not at the level as many of her classmates. I mean by episode 20, Akko still cannot fly a broom! That should tell you something. But what’s the one thing that seems to be missing from this series?
Tumblr media
An antagonist? Yeah, in comes Professor Croix! And to many of the students, she feels like she’s able to bring witchcraft into today’s era with her technology driven methods. And Akko certainly has taken a shine to her. However, Professor Ursula can smell this woman’s bullshit a mile away. Ursula was once the classmate of Croix. But back then Ursula was known as… Oh come on, it was so bloody obvious the moment Ursula met Akko.
Tumblr media
Ursula is really Shiny Chariot! Meanwhile, Akko ends up trying to speak these seven secret words that’ll unlock the wand she obtained in the first episode. You know, the wand that belonged to Shiny Chariot?! And Akko has managed to obtain six out of the seven secret words. She could be the one to get the seventh word, which was something Chariot was unable to do as a student. But this positivity ends with a looming war (over a soccer match) on the rise. In actuality, there’s a force around the town as well as certain moments at the school that have caused chaos. Yes, it’s Professor Croix exploiting people’s anger for her own research. Not only that, but she used Akko for her own selfish ambitions and as a result ended up injuring Shiny Chariot to a point of altering her magic (possibly permanently). That’s one thing. Then we get quite a big bombshell!
Tumblr media
AKKO’S MAGIC: Ever wonder why Akko has like zero magic ability?! When she saw Shiny Chariot’s performance as a child, her dreams and potential magic were taken by Chariot in order to make her performances more magical (due to audience members becoming disinterested in Chariot’s magic). Akko’s magic was taken away from her before she could even realize a thing. Damn! And you can just imagine Akko’s heartache finding out that her professor was really Chariot and that Chariot did that to not just Akko, but other children! After Chariot found out what her magic shows were doing, she immediately fell off the map.
Tumblr media
BACK TO THE CONCLUSION: One of Croix’s inventions went rogue and is officially threatening the world. And it’s up to Akko, Sucy, Lotte, Diana, Amanda, Constance, and Jasminka to catch up to this rogue missile invention. Now that Akko was able to obtain the seventh word, there’s a good chance they can take out Croix’s out of control missile. Croix thankfully realized the errors of her way and understood the pain she’s caused to her students and her former classmate. Croix and Chariot decide to give their all to help the girls as well. While five of the seven girls were able to give a big boost, it was Akko and Diana who took out the looming threat. That’s right, witches saved the world! Yeah, during the series a lot of people were kinda mean to or looked down upon Luna Nova and the witch race in general. Especially, those dickheads at Andrew’s prep school! With this act, I’m sure Luna Nova and the witches will finally get the respect they deserve. In the aftermath, yes Luna Nova is now receiving more respect from those that have been quite cruel to them throughout the series run. Croix is going away to do some research. One of her biggest plans was to restore Ursula/Chariot’s magic that was lost due to her own recklessness with Akko. The students go back to their lessons and…
Tumblr media
Akko (after 25 episodes) was able to float a few inches off the ground using her broom. She flew…sort of. I’ll let it count as a victory! THE TWO SPECIALS: A few years prior to the television series run, Little Witch Academia had two movies air. Now this is a different telling of the story. In the first special (which is 25 minutes), it has Akko come upon Chariot’s rod during a class assignment (instead of coming upon it in a forest like the first episode).
Tumblr media
And here’s a real kicker, while Akko is still the class screw-up and has the least amount of magic, here she actually has SOME magic. In the second special (which is 55 minutes), Akko ends up in trouble (like normal) and ends up having to do a punishment assignment. She has to help orchestrate a ritual which ends up turning into a parade. So Akko, Sucy, Lotte, Amanda, Constance, and Jasminka all end up working together to do this. But Akko wants to turn this into something for people to remember and always cherish. Like her experiences with the Shiny Chariot performances she saw as a child! But there’s always blow-back because at Luna Nova, Shiny Chariot is seen as a disgrace to traditional witches. And of course there was bound to be some disagreements when working with a big group. And despite a few hiccups, everyone was able to come together to put on a convincing parade for the crowd. Little Witch Academia was quite the enjoyable little story. Yes, it’s a root for the underdog kind of story and even though the television series seems to give Akko the short-end of the stick on the magic matter, it’s full-filling to see her accomplish quite a bit. Even if it took her until the final seconds to learn how to fly! I know it’s been about 2-3 years since the ending of the TV series and am wondering if this is it for the franchise. I know there are novels and games out for this, so maybe one day.
Tumblr media
But I do give a recommendation for those into witches, magic, and all that good stuff! It's full of fun characters, there's no harm in that. Currently, Netflix is the only outlet for this series (in just about every country). But Netflix does carry both the sub and dub (and several other languages). Now then, what’s my next Amazon/Netflix exclusive anime? Nope. You’re watching this.
Tumblr media
Rising of the Shield Hero? But isn’t that Crunchyroll or FUNimation? Don’t care. You’re watching this now. But I have a big list of other animes to wat… Tough shit. You’re watching this. You have no choice but to watch a modern Isekai!

Fankid Kill List
I was going through some of my fankids I’m not feeling as much and debating whether I should scrap anyone.  To help organize my thoughts, I wrote notes about each character to see if things could be salvaged.
Kanto
- Blue “Leaf” Greene (Beta) (Single Mother)     Quill Greene - Beta!Boy
Pros: While a bit of a con since it makes developing him daunting since too many possibilities, he has an in with Team Cross and Team Rocket, so there's a wide range of possibilities here.  A unique position other kids don't have. His design is also open to whatever cause his father doesn't matter so sky's the limit. In some ways it's wasted potential to scrap him?
Issues: He is, without question, the oldest fankid if I stick to the original plotline.  That is truly why I have issues developing him. He's disconnected and by the time TC is taken down, he'd be 24-28.  No longer a kid, an adult with his own life by this point. Which further disconnects him from the rest of the cast. Leaf isn't going to be able to justify shielding a 28 year old either, the way she could if he was in his teens.
Solutions: Scrap Leaf. But to keep him, I really do need to modify things with Leaf. Because I don't want a fankid that much older than the others.  Maybe Leaf really is just a villain.  Joined TC because why not.  She was in TR already. Maybe the group wasn't as bad early on.  Plus she had already experimented on Pokemon. In this scenario, she doesn't take the job for her son, she does it for herself. Quill is either the result of sleeping with someone in the group, or full on science baby.  This would allow me to make him younger, but amps Leaf’s villainy, to the point she approaches irredeemable. Or at least Karma Houdini. He requires a lot of consideration, which since I forever neglect Kanto, is why I consider cutting him. Save myself some headache. Although if he goes, Leaf might go as well. I could also just make him evil. Science experiment kid that attacks others.  But again, Leaf’s villainy increases as his does. Basically, kinda start fresh.
Johto
Perfect as is!
Hoenn
- Liza Remwood (Alpha) & Flannery [Moore] Remwood (Beta) (FiregirlShipping) Scarlet Remwood - Alpha!Girl
(Flavia can live)
Pros: Liza knocking up two ladies during her world tour through Hoenn is so good. I love this plotline. The kind of drama I crave. I also love this ship idea, one of my pair-the-spares I got more attached to.
Issue: I just...have no role for her.  Flavia is friends with Ina, and I really really like the potential of this ship as well as the way they get together. So they have to have at least one kid. But there's a reason I don't give two kids to side ships unless I'm super passionate about them. She just feels like a placeholder character.
Solution: Obviously develop her.  In theory, she should be around the same age as the older Hoenn kids. Thus she needs a role related to them.  Gym Leader like Micah and Neil?  E4 member?  I think designing her might help. Alternatively, she could maybe work for Interpol and interact with Lonan, Rosette, and Lynn.  Take the role Kalei was meant to have. Be a tough independent girl like Liza.
- Greta Walter (Alpha) & Liza Alvis (Omega) (MartialArtsShipping) Alyssum Alvis - Alpha!Girl
Pros: Her parent ship is cute.
Issues: Like all the Hoenn kids on this list, I have no role or development for her. She literally only exists because I’m very taken with Tate’s family, so I had to develop his twin sister by default.  I also like her parent’s ship in theory, but they have no development.  So I actually just don't care about this family at all outside their connection to Tate’s family.
Solutions: I really am drawing a blank for her development.  She could possibly interact with Armel, Mara, Corin, and Lotte, which would imply an interest in contests.  Make her someone's ex?  Liliana or Kei’s? There is no loss or gain to her, so unless something comes up, it might be best to let her go and add her back down the line if needed. Alternatively, doing something drastic to her parent’s ship might help.  It’s why I like Tate/Tucker, so adding some kind of edge could go a long way.
- Sidney Cethin (Alpha) & Glacia [Foyr] Cethin (Omega) (HoennEliteShipping) Damien Cethin - Omega!Boy
Pros: I'm starting to grow really fond of his parent’s ship.
Issues: Don't care for his name. No role. No real feel for his character at all.
Solution: Change name.  To Lumi perhaps?  Even though it's an ice themed girl’s name, I've wanted to use it for a while and could swing it for an omega. He could maybe work for the E4. Have a crush on Dylan?  Interact with main Hoenn kids more.  Maybe completely swap the roles I was thinking of for him and Scarlet. He's in Interpol?  Ice king. He and Scarlet could also be bitter exes with lingering feelings.  I suppose that would give Lonan someone his own age to go to for advice. With Scarlet they're just bros, but I suppose with Damien, they could also “help each other out” during that time of the year.
- Zinnia Draconid (Omega) (Single Mother) Eurybia Draconid - Omega!Girl (Other parent is Liza Remwood (Alpha); IotaShipping; one night stand)
Pros: The plotline for her conception is so good. I want to keep her for that reason alone. Potentially cute design with parents like that.
Issues: No development.  She’s also kinda tied to Scarlet, so if one goes, the other likely follows.
Solutions: Develop more.  If I keep Scarlet, she lives by default.  So prioritize Scarlet for development. Since character wise, I was picturing her somewhat priestess like.  The other way to interpret “lorekeeper.”
- Riley Roscoe (Alpha) & Wanda [Lorn] Roscoe (Omega) (TunnelShipping)   Ander Roscoe - Alpha!Boy
Pros: He's Peyton’s cousin so from a story standpoint, I like the idea of Wanda helping Wally out with pregnancy stuff since she already had a kid.
Issues: I feel nothing for the parent ship which is the major issue with him.  I also picture him taking after his dad more , so not a cutie and pretty boys are my bread and butter.
Solution:  Give him a cute design? Change his design and character so he takes after Wally’s half of the family more? Bryne could maybe date him, which is an idea I've had for a while anyway but I should develop Bryne more first.
Sinnoh
- Maylene Hendrick (Alpha) & Candice [Iclyn] Hendrick (Omega) (GlistenShipping) North Hendrick - Alpha!Girl
Pros: Pink hair.  Her parents are an obvious f/f alpha/omega couple I've considered since the beginning.
Issues: Don't feel much for the parent ship.  Have no role other more interesting characters can't serve. The issue truly is that for almost everyone else I consider cutting, I either like the parent ship or I sort of like the idea of the character themselves. North has neither quality.
Solution: She's #1 on the hit list, so I truly do think I will cut her.  That's the solution.  Otherwise….while there's no character/personality to scrap cause she has nothing, try to start from the ground up?
- Thorton Withrow (Beta) & Marley [Austin] Withrow (Beta) (BriarShipping) Ivy Withrow - Beta!Girl
Pros: She actually has a design sketch started!  A potential science kid Oralie could interact with. Or just provide tech support from the background. Quirky and eccentric.
Issues: She's actually low on the hit list since my main issue is that I'm just not feeling the parent ship as much, over having issues with her?  It was a pair-the-spares that stuck, but never rose in interest for me.  I'm neutral on them over disliking them. She's also just not that well developed, but same with everyone else on this list.
Solution: Consider changing parent ship? I want her tied to Thorton over Marley if this happens.  Parents divorce? Finish the sketch of her, since actually drawing the character almost always helps.
Unova
- Curtis Mirren (Omega) & Rosa Blanc (Omega) (LiveCasterShipping) Briar Mirren-Blanc - Omega!Boy
Pros: Protag ship so kinda have to keep per my own rules.  Has a unique family dynamic and conception method. Cute.  Potential actor kid.  Creepers would be into him which is easy drama points, so an avenue to explore even if I've maybe overused the idea at this point.
Issues: I don't like his parent ship much.  That's really a big part of it. They're fine. But just boring.  I have no alt ship for either of them though so this isn't easily fixable. He’s also disconnected from everyone since I don't have him interacting with anyone yet.
Solution: Either the parent ship needs to be scraped or heavily modified, or Briar just needs to suffer.  Throw shitty omegaverse tropes at him so his life is angst, and then maybe I'll care. A different route I haven't actually used tho is he could be a fankid hit with a teen pregnancy. Cause what scandal.  Bonus points if the father is either his manager or just some older actor guy he co-starred with in something. Someone playing his father.
- Lenora Carter (Alpha) & Hawes [Howard] Carter (Omega) (AloeVeraShipping) Amber Carter - Omega!Girl
Pros: Her design would be cute as hell.  Sorta fro-ish hair the same color as Lenora’s.  Sorry Hawes, she's gonna look like Lenora.  Also a friend for Bailey, which is an idea I've had for a while.
Issues: Don't care about her parent ship.  I don't dislike them. I just couldn't care less.  So like Ivy, she's low on the hit list since it's related to parent ship over disliking the fankid herself.
Solution: Draw her so I like her more?  I don't think much can be done about her parents tho.  They're canon and no reason to ship them with anyone else.
- Benga Asquith-Dragwald (Alpha), Iris Asquith-Dragwald (Alpha), & Shannon [Cecil] Asquith-Dragwald (Omega) (DragonheartfullShipping) Kino Asquith-Dragwald - Alpha!Boy (Biological parents are Benga/Shannon) Aspen Asquith-Dragwald - Alpha!Girl (Biological parents are Iris/Shannon)
Pros: A unique family dynamic I don't have anywhere else. In theory, the kids have good color combos for designs.
Issues: I kinda...don't care about any of these characters as much?  As terrible as this sounds, Iris is a character I never felt any attachment to. She's fine. I just don't care.  And Benga and Shannon aren't actually interesting enough on their own to fuel this family. It's a ship I consider dropping because I don't care.
Solution: Change things around with the ship?  I don't know what.  I'm not against this pairing, I’m just not super feeling it as it stands.  That needs to be resolved before I can make progress with the kids.
- Stephan Moray (Alpha) & Montgomery Vilis (Omega) (GekiShipping) Wyatt Vilis - Alpha!Boy
Pros: Interaction with the Grimsley/Marshal kids, who I love.  I like the basic idea of the connection between their families as well.  Exists to be someone Colvin can use once he's rescued.  So Colvin’s sad future ex-boyfriend.
Issues: He's very undeveloped and I actually don't feel strongly about the parent ship. Making them connected to Grimsley/Marshal just means they’re overshadowed by that ship’s greatness since that's a ship I really really like.  Also, any number of characters could be Colvin’s kinda sorta boyfriend once he's rescued. I don't need to make a character whose only role is that. So he needs more.  Needs to be his own person.
Solution: Obviously just develop him more.  Also consider doing something to switch up his parents dynamic a bit?  I think if I can make myself feel that ship more, things will fall into place.
Kalos
- Olympia de Vere (Alpha) & Fantina Belaire (Omega) (CirqueDuSoleilShipping) Sybil de Vere - Alpha!Girl
Pros: Gonna have a bitchin design with those parents.  Can be the Gym Leader of Anistar, a role I need. Psychic chic who can see the future, so useful for plot purposes if needed.
Issues: She's very disconnected from the other Kalos kids, who all are interwoven through each other.  That’s really her biggest con.
Solution: Make her interact with more characters.  Also make her a bit younger, maybe only a year old when the game ends?  She could very well be Casimir’s age as well.  No reason a 14 year old couldn't be a Gym Leader. Something she feels super strongly about, given her heritage. Also instead of her being cold like Olympia, switch things around and actually make her kind of petulant. Butts heads with other characters.  Really, just get her interacting with someone. She has relatives in Hoenn and Sinnoh so no reason to lock her to Kalos either. Which if I keep her older, is an option for the other characters to have her interact with.  Travels with Felix for a time?
Alola
- Hapu Makua (Alpha) & Acerola [Kealoha] Makua (Omega) (SilkStoneShipping) Akoko Makua - Omega!Girl (Twin) Akia Makua - Alpha!Girl (twin)
Pros: I said I'd do parent ships people recommended and that's what this is.  I also don't think I'd pair these two with anyone else?  They have ghost potential with is always a plus
Issues: I don't care about this pairing or the parent characters. Either of them. Hapu is just kind of boring while Acerola is one I want to like in theory, but don't.  And unlike most of the other kids in this situation, Akoko and Akia don't have anything going for them that makes me consider holding on for that reason alone.
Solution: They're very high on the hit list. Hard to say if they're #2 or #3 (tied with the kid below). Since while I could do something drastic with their story to make them more interesting, nothing will change the fact that I just don't feel anything for their parents. Maybe it's better to scrap them and cut my losses.  I can always add them again later. Plus easier to start fresh if they've been scraped.
- Kukui (Alpha) & Burnet (Beta) (EternalHoneyMoonShipping) Kalei Burnet-Kukui - Beta!Girl
Pros: White hair!  This is such a blessing, it's a shame I don't feel this kid at all. From a narrative standpoint, I also feel these two would have a child. It makes sense given how they were acting as parents to Lillie. They really truly should have a fankid.
Issues: I don't care about the parent ship and never will. It's cute, but I have no desire to develop canon ships.  This is a curse I have as a whole in any and all fandoms. And while this is true for every Alola character, I got no role for Kalei.
Solution: I do think cutting her and Akia and Akoko would go a long way to making me like Alola more.  If I could make myself happy with all the fankid in the region, it'd make me want to develop them more. Because I don't actually like Alola all that much.  Doesn't have the advantage the other regions have for me (except maybe Kalos) where I really like the region as a whole. I've thought about her a lot, and at this point, I can't think of anything that would make me like her more.  Cause the parent ship will always be the issue. If I do scrap her, I might give her name to the Lillie/Hau daughter, cause I hate Leila’s name.

top of the world | kim seungmin
kim seungmin x reader - themepark!au
genres; fluff, friendship, slight romance
warnings; none
summary; in which your best friend drags you to an amusement park despite being fully aware that you hate rides.
Tumblr media
“See, Kim Seungmin. This is why I said I’d plan your birthday for you. I knew you were going to pull off shit like this.”
You stand in mortification, trying to prevent yourself from bubbling over into a seething cauldron of anger. It’s Seungmin’s birthday, you say to yourself, just do it for him.
Kim Seungmin, your devil of a best friend, is fully aware of the fact that you hate rollercoasters and amusement park rides in general, and yet he still brings you to Lotte World, insisting that it’s the only place he wishes to celebrate his birthday in. You had offered to arrange a birthday surprise for him, but he simply smiled like a little cherub and insisted that he’d got it all planned out, even telling you not to worry.
Now, as you stand before the entrance of the indoor theme park, Seungmin beaming in anticipation next to you, you don’t have the heart to refuse him. Sure, you’re mad as hell, but it is his birthday, and the way his eyes are alight with childlike excitement softens your heart considerably and douses the flames of frustration threatening to consume you. It’s unfortunate that your best friend is just so irresistibly adorable. You can’t even bring yourself to properly chide him. All you can afford is a weak protest.
“Let’s go!” Seungmin says, grabbing your wrist and dashing straight through the gates that mark the start of your hell and his heaven. Well, to each his own. This is gonna be one hell of a day.
“Okay, trust me, this isn’t scary at all. It’s just some lame ass boat ride,” Seungmin says in a manner that does nothing to allay your fears.
“If it’s lame, then why do you wanna ride it?”
“I mean, gotta get a bang for our buck. Might as well try everything since we’re here.”
You sigh and follow him to the queue for the Flume Ride, a strong sense of foreboding curling in the pit of your stomach.
You two get into a small boat, with Seungmin in the front and you in the back. The boat goes up like it’s on an escalator, and you feel your heart falling deeper into your stomach with every passing second. And when Seungmin conveniently asks right then, “Did you by any chance bring extra clothes?” you know that you’re screwed.
This isn’t just some lame ass boat ride as Seungmin so insouciantly put it. It could very well be your ride to the afterlife, if you so choose to be melodramatic.
Just as you expected, the boat reaches a short-lived plateau before plummeting sharply downwards, eliciting an ear-piercing scream from you that Seungmin would never forgive you for. Not that you cared. That little prick deserves to have his eardrum exploded for putting you on this ride. And as if that weren’t enough, the violent splash that you and Seungmin produce gets you wet all over, ruining you from your hair to your shoes.
“I hate you,” you firmly declare to Seungmin, who’s absolutely thrilled about having pranked you into going for the Flume Ride with him. He can’t stop laughing at the sight of you drenched from head to toe, glaring murderously at him, yet restraining yourself as you remind yourself that it’s his birthday. Your level of self control is seriously commendable.
“I’m sorry,” Seungmin says, and you know he really isn’t sorry at all, “but it was so fun! That drop was amazing!”
You bite your tongue to stop yourself from offering a very different opinion.
“Anyway, thanks to my foresight, I brought this,” Seungmin says, fishing out a large grey hoodie from his backpack, which you assume is for him to change into. He did get wet as well, seeing as he sat in front, but he doesn’t seem to mind at all.
“Great. At least you have something to change into while you leave me to rot away into a soaking mess—,”
Seungmin smirks. “Who said this was for me?”
And with that, he pulls his huge hoodie over you. The sleeves stretch way past your fingers and the hoodie itself stops mid-thigh, being seriously oversized. He leans closer to you and tugs at the strings to secure it tightly around your smaller frame.
“Wouldn’t want my best friend catching a cold on my birthday,” he says sweetly before tapping your nose lightly with his finger. You’re trying hard to feign annoyance but it’s getting really difficult to keep up your front of pseudo-fury with the way Seungmin’s beaming down at you like you’re a child who got full marks on a spelling test.
“Can I keep this?” You ask, loving the way it smells and feels like Seungmin, warm and chocolatey and fresh and clean, relishing the way it envelopes you with warmth and keeps you all nice and snug.
“I guess it’s the least I could do after putting you on the Flume Ride. Which I totally don’t regret, by the way.”
And as you look at the way Seungmin’s smiling sunnily in happiness, tugging at your hand to lead you to the next ride, you think might not regret it either.
“No way in hell I’m going on the Viking Ship.”
“Yes way! Come on, we need to run if we want to sit in the back. Trust me, it’s the most fun sitting in the back.”
“KIM SEUNGMIN!” You screech at your best friend as he runs towards the Viking Ship, indifferent to the various forms of death threats you yell at him along the way. He doesn’t even care when you threaten to tear up all his DAY6 posters, which is surprising.
“Come on!” Seungmin urges, and seeing as you’re making no move to speed up, he runs over to you, grabs your hand and runs towards the Viking Ship, guiding you to the very last row of seats at the very end of the darned contraption.
You put on the safety belt that does nothing to assure you of your safety, then you close your eyes as you feel the ship slowly begin to elevate. Feeling a terrible sinking feeling in your stomach, you unconsciously grab onto Seungmin’s hand, holding tightly onto it as you squeeze your eyes shut.
Seungmin switches the positions of your hands so that his hand is covering your own, enveloping it tightly. Soon after he laces his fingers between yours, intertwining your hand with this. You try to think not of the fact that the blood practically drains from your face every time the ship dips downwards, but rather, you focus on the fact that Seungmin’s holding onto your hand tightly, and you try to think of the warmth transmitting from his veins over to yours. It actually works for a bit, and you feel yourself releasing some of the nausea that’s threatening to build up inside your system.
Breathe, it’s okay. Seungmin’s right next to you. Funny how he’s the cause of your misery in the first place, but he’s also the one alleviating it.
When you two get down from the ride, he continues to clutch your hand tightly in his, refusing to let go.
“You can let go now. It’s over,” you say, attempting to wrestle free him his grip, but he won’t let you.
“If I let go of you you’ll probably trip over yourself or something. I bet you’re still dizzy from the ride,” Seungmin shoots back, sticking his tongue out at you.
“Yeah, right. You’re just using that as an excuse to hold my hand, you doofus,” you say, but as you look down at your intertwined hands a cosy sort of warmth fills you and you really can’t bring yourself to complain further.
Afterwards you insist that you can’t go on another ride and you drag him to a mirror maze, basically a dimly lit labyrinth filled with misleading traps and tons of mirrors, which Seungmin had refused to enter initially, saying that it was for kids. In the end, he’s more into it than you are, even taking it upon himself to lead the way, with all the seriousness of an actor in a Spy Kids film. His level of focus and immersion is strangely endearing to you.
After going on more rides, having dinner and watching the parade together, you two decide to call it a day. Until something catches your attention.
“Seungmin, can we go on that one?” You ask, pulling on his shirtsleeve. Seungmin follows your gaze and sees that you’re looking at the ferris wheel, a large structure adorned with twinkling multicolored fairy lights. He smiles.
“That’s so cheesy, Y/N. But sure, anything for my girl. After all, you did walk through fire for me today.”
You grin as Seungmin slings an arm over your shoulder, leading you to the ferris wheel, your last stop for the day.
“This is seriously the best ride of the day,” you say happily, looking out from the little cabin enclosing the two of you that gives you a perfect aerial view of the whole theme park.
“Really? Not the Flume Ride? What about the Viking Ship?” Seungmin asks playfully and you proceed to attack him with light punches while he feigns an expression of hurt.
“Definitely not, you jerk. God, those rides shaved years off my already-weathered lifespan.”
“You’re not even twenty yet. Don’t be so dramatic.”
“Who was the one who insisted that he was a member of the Famous Five back in the mirror maze? Talk about being dramatic.”
Seungmin can’t rebut you, so he simply stays quiet and watches you looking down at the view of the park. A contented smile hangs off his lips as he drinks in the sight of you in his oversized hoodie, your eyes alight at the wondrous view below you.
You suddenly feel a pair of arms snaking around your waist, as well as an added weight on your shoulder. As you look to the side you realize that Seungmin has trapped you in a backhug and leaned his head on your shoulder, pulling you close to him and nestling his chin in the crook of your neck.
“Thank you for coming here with me,” he whispers into your ear, “it means a lot to me.”
“Aww, my little Seungminnie’s becoming all mushy and gross. What’s come over you?”
“Hey, don’t ruin the moment, idiot,” Seungmin chides, hugging you even tighter in response.
“Happy birthday, you fool,” you say, flicking his chubby left cheek lightly with your fingers.
Seungmin hugs you happily to him as you two float over the paradise beneath you, reaching the top of the ferris wheel. From your vantage point, the view is simply spectacular and you hum in contentment.
You feel like you’re on top of the world, and with your best friend right behind you, you know you can conquer anything. Even the scariest of rollercoasters. a/n; just a short, light & fluffy story that was inspired by their reality show when they went to lotte world hehe

Happy Holidays Have Hamanda
The following is a TEASER for my future 2019 project, aka a long fic about Hamanda and them fake dating. Uknown when the actual fic be out due to health problems and business of life. Still tell me what you think so far, Enjoy~
“Babe!!” Amanda called, a big smile on her face as she slammed the door open. Behind her she can hear the simultaneous pause of spying feet. By the nine why did she agree with this again? Oh right, that’s why. The forced grin became genuine as Amanda spotted the startled but quickly turned smile of Hannah, hair down but strands sticking up with bed head. She looked ridiculous, Amanda loved it. “Good morning Darling,” Amanda cooed as she walked in, snickering at the small twitch of annoyance Hannah had as she continued to smile at her, a poisoned dagger hidden in those sweet eyes. “Good Morning Amanda,” Hannah smiled sweetly, voice laced with subtle venom. Her eyes glanced to the door and Amanda heard the silent huff of an understanding groan as she climbed on the bed with an amused chuckle. “Giggle like I said something sweet and close the door,” Amanda whispered in Hannah’s ear as she leaned in and hugged her, positioning herself in a way that the brats don’t see her whispering something. Hannah giggled at her words, her eyes caught her cousins looking and watched them blanch, all whilst wishing she could do the same. One of them looked particularly aghast and embarrassed and closed the door before Hannah could reach her wand on the bed drawer. As soon as she saw the door close, Hannah shoved Amanda away from her, a hiss of annoyance leaving her lips as she glared at Amanda’s amused smirk. By the nine why did she agree to this again? “Why in the nines name are you in my room?” Hannah hissed as she grabbed her wand and quickly placed a silent charm on the door to prevent her cousins over hearing. “And why didn’t you knock? I was in a call with Barbara!” Amanda scoffed, though she didn’t budge from her spot, in fact she leaned closer to the headboard and relaxed into her seat.  “Well I’m sorry Rosie,” she paused and grinned at the quick flush on Hannah’s face, she’s so glad she learnt Hannah’s middle name and made a nickname out of it. The smile left however as she returned to the focus of the issue, her eyes burning a glare to the door in front of her. “I had other things to worry about, like you know your little gremlins trying to follow my every move.” “Don’t call my cousins that Amanda.” “Fine, nosy brats,” Amanda amended before she pointed an accusing finger at Hannah. “And don’t tell me off cause it’s true and we both know it.” “Regardless,” Hannah huffed as she looked away realising that she couldn’t refute that statement. “You should’ve knocked when you entered, what were you raised in a barn?” Amanda down right laughed at that, memories of the past made that insult ironic. “Yeah sure why not?” She grinned, “If you count a horse range to be a barn then it’s most of my life.” “Nines, no wonder you’re such an animal.” “Well,” Amanda sighed as she propped one leg over the other whilst she placed both of her hands behind her head. “It’s a good thing I told your mum that’s what you loved about me.” It was an absolute lie but Hannah didn’t know that. “YOU DID WHAT?” Amanda forced down the laughter bubbling in her throat and somehow turned what escaped into a cough. “I mean,” she said sheepishly. “It wasn’t the exact words, but it’s implied and besides,” Amanda grinned at Hannah, acknowledging that it would be a miracle if she wasn’t magically thrown out of the window with the next sentence. “It’s not exactly wrong is it?” And in a sudden impulsive decision, Amanda winked at the infuriated girl. “YOU!” Hannah screeched, hot blood racing through her body, cheeks flared red as she placed her wand under Amanda’s chin. It was too damn early to deal with her bullshit. “If you say a damn word I will hex you back to Luna Nova.” “Umm,” the slightly pixelated voice of Barbara said through the tense silence. Hannah lowered her wand with an embarrassed sigh, she completely forgot that she was in a call with her best friend. “What’s going on?” She turned to the crystal ball on a bed cushion where Barbara stared at them with a confused look. “Hey Barbara,” Amanda said with a nonchalant wave, till she looked again with surprise. “Wait Barbara? When did you get here?” “She’s been here the entire time!” Hannah exclaimed as she stowed the wand away. “I told you this already.” “Did you?” Hannah pinched the bridge of her nose and turned away with a sigh. “Nines, you’re the most stupidest person on the planet.” Amanda looked at her with a cocky grin as she sat up properly and nudged Hannah on the side with her elbow. “Actually wouldn’t that be you considering that you’re dating me if all people?” “WHAT!?” Barbara’s scream went unnoticed as Hannah turned on Amanda in an instant, wand raised. Amanda’s eyes widened as she gulped, the fire in Hannah’s eyes looked almost real and it was eager to burn her. Maybe she pushed her jokes a bit too far this time. “I swear if I didn’t love this bed so much I would kill you where you stand O’Neill.” “OKAY!” Barbara yelled, cutting the tension in two. Both people jumped, bodies touching before they shuffled away from each other and looked down at the sphere between them. “Before anyone is KILLING ANYONE? Can someone please explain why you two are dating?”
Amanda took the moment to grin and slung an arm around Hannah’s neck in act to appear calm whilst screaming inside. “Would you look at that babe, we’re better actors than we thought.”
Hannah turned to her with a piercing glare. Before Amanda could tease about it or question it, Hannah raised her wand and with a simple whispered spell, Amanda and a pillow caught in the crossfire got flung off the bed. “Idiot,” she growled before she turned to the crystal ball. Hannah brushed her hand through her tangled mess of bedhead, face turning apologetic.  “Barbara just know that I didn’t want you to find out this way and I please don’t get mad at me for this and please keep your voice down and don’t tell anyone.”
Barbara gave her a very slow nod added with a questioning, concerned look  and Hannah took that as a cue to continue.  “Due to-” Hannah turned her head, eyes narrowed at the girl massaging her head on the floor, “-Misconceptions. As well as well Veronica’s own meddling.” As always, the name came out as a growl from Hannah, her hands tightened to a fist. “My family believed that we are dating and after a talk we decided to fake date as it would solve problems easier.”
Silence.
A silence that went on longer and longer, much more than Hannah anticipated. Hannah shuffled in her bed anxiously, trying her best to keep quiet under the tense atmosphere. Even Amanda herself stayed silent,  slight worry in her eyes as she glanced between the two friends. Then, after moment that eclipsed eternity, Barbara spoke.
“Hannah,” She said with the slow, warning tone of caution.
Alarm bells blared in Hannah’s head.  “Y-yes?”
“You love me right?” Amanda perked up, eyes widened a bit as she watched Hannah gain a sweat drop.
“Yes?”
“And you know that I love you a lot right? We’re best friends and everything.”
“Yes” Hannah hurriedly agreed, head nodding just as quick as her words. “We’re the bestest.”
Barbara’s composed face broke to a sudden pleading expression, guilt flashed in her eyes before she got up and ran. “Then please forgive me cause I have to go and tell Lotte!” She called before she exited the room, leaving Hannah in a state of whiplash. In the distance, through the call and open door, she could hear the echoes of Lotte’s name screamed in excitement.
“Well,” Amanda said as she hesitantly got on top of the bed again, before sliding in closer to Hannah once she realised that Hannah is still too whiplashed to retaliate. “That went better than expected.”
As if Amanda broke a spell, Hannah came back to life and immediately buried her face in a pillow. “Ughhhh, she hates me now.”
“Hey,” Amanda said as she patted Hannah’s back with reassurance, “I'm sure she’s fine. Who knows maybe they might know what to do in our situation.”
Under the pillow, Amanda heard a muffled scoff. “I doubt it-” Hannah sat up, perched her elbows on her lap and stared at the empty crystal ball scene. “I really don’t think being in a fake relationship of all things is a common thing to experience.”
Amanda, who now stopped petting Hannah, shrugged. She was about to make a comment but the idea left when Lotte bursted through the door on the other side of the screen and looked at them in a way that Amanda never realised she could make.
Lotte looked them like she was famished, her body was slouched as she panted and the serious frown on her face scarily contradicted the excited gleam in her glasses reflections. Then like a cat, Lotte pounced at them, both with voice and action as she raced to the crystal ball and hovered closer than she would normally be. Her voice got louder with every word.
“Holy Jennifer, you two are in a fake dating thing-by the nine how did this happen? What are the rules? Are you allowed to kiss? Nines did you guys fake kiss yet? How long is this going to last? Is a contract set? Who else knows? Nines you’re sharing a bed- NINES ARE YOU TWO SHARING A ROOM. ARE YOU ROOM-”
Silence yet again.
This time it was caused by Amanda, who still had her finger pressed on the hang up button on the crystal sphere. After a moment, she released the button with a relieved sigh before looking left where the source of negative intent emitted from. “In my defence,” she said even though she knew it won’t be enough for Hannah, “She was talking too loud.”
“Still!” Hannah said as she gestured to the blank crystal ball before she started to call them again. “You just hung up my best friend.”
“Actually,” Amanda started with a smirk, ignoring how  Hannah’s brow twitched a bit. “She’s your best friend’s girlfriend sooo…”
Hannah gave her one long glare as she raised her wand to fling Amanda off the bed again. But Amanda knew what was coming and closed the space between them, the sheer speed and Amanda’s sudden closeness knocked the syllables out of Hannah’s mouth. Within seconds they were centimetres apart. One of Amanda’s hand sank into the mattress near Hannah’s legs, the other hand held Hannah’s hand that gripped the wand. The angered flush on Hannah’s face turned dark scarlet from the closeness and the sight, mixed in with Hannah’s narrowed eyes made the grin on Amanda’s face widen to a smirk. She really liked making Hannah react like this.
“Nice try Rosie,” Amanda whispered, voice teeming with layers of teasing and coyness. The cocky tone and stupid grin fanned the heat in Hannah’s cheeks. It drove the girl insane as she opened her mouth to retort-
“By the holy nine…”
Both girls whipped their heads to crystal ball. To their surprise, both Barbara and Lotte stared at them through the crystal ball, staring in awe at their compromised but teeming with tension positions. When they looked back at each other, each girl became very aware of how close they were, how their cheeks burned and how they were so close that they couldn’t tell whether the warmth between them came from their own or from the person in front of them.
Instantly they scrambled away, making sure that there was a very visible gap between them, Amanda cleared her throat, rushed her hand through the threads of her multi coloured hair whilst Hannah’s hands trembled as she focused on getting her hair up. Each one sent terribly subtle glances as the same question raced in their minds.
What in the nines name, was that?
“My goodness,” Barbara grinned from across the screen, head resting against her palm as Lotte giggled next to her. “If this is what you two are like everyday I can see why Auntie Rosa and your cousins thought you two were dating Hannah.”

[PANN] Kyungsoo Is Too Cute To Handle
source : pann
T/N : Fyi, Kyungsoo caused so much ruckus from his appearances at Lotte Concert lol. It became a hot topic at various k-forums, and his name even trended. Part of it was because fans missed him too much. But the main reason was, he was truly too cute to handle!
[PANN] THERE’S A REASON WHY D.O. DOESN’T GROW HIS HAIR
Tumblr media
How can he do serious acting with such an adorably cute face. I feel like my heart will stop (due to admiration) when I see his acting on the screen... No, but, how old is D.O. now? If we judge only by his face, he can’t be in 20s... He can even take a young boy role. What’s up with the fringe...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
comments:
1. [+270,  -15] The second pict (from OP post). It’s like, “Instead of seeing the dentist, I’m out eating tonkatsu for real.”
     > [+103,  0]  ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
Tumblr media
“The Mom said she’s gonna buy him tonkatsu. She said nothing about going to the hospital. The son isn’t happy about it.”
2. [+225,  -10] Once you fall in love with cutie Kyungsoo, there’s no way out.
Tumblr media
3. [+197,  -14] Adorable cutie ♡
Tumblr media
4. [+116,  0] I understand why fans call him ‘poker-faced cutie’ ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ D.O. himself is poker-faced and serious. But from the perspective of others, he’s simply a soft penguin who just grows feathers.
5. [+88,  0] Isn’t Kyungsoo too cute when he smiles ㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠㅠ
Tumblr media
6. [+74,  0] When compared to this, it looks like a totally different person ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Aren’t those (picts in OP post) from his debut era? Why does he look even younger as the time passed...?
Tumblr media
7. [+69,  0] No, but, his hair grows so freaking fast. At this rate, will he be having a bob hair during comeback ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
8. [+66,  0] So f*cking cute human
Tumblr media
9. [+54,  0] He looks exactly like this ㅜㅠㅠ
Tumblr media
10. [+48,  0] An adorable cutie, right
Tumblr media
11. [+47,  0] Doh Kyungsoo’s charm is: he’s so f*cking cute but he himself doesn’t know about it, and plus when he’s called ‘cute’, he’s gonna get so flustered and say ‘stop it’ ㅠㅠ that makes him even cuter
12. [+45,  0] This boy is the type to receive love wherever he goes ㅋㅋㅋㅋ when he’s acting with big seniors for a movie too, they all cooed over him like he’s their precious kid ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
13. [+44,  -1] Not an EXO fan and knows Doh Kyungsoo through his actor side, but I like him so much ㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜㅜ He’s pretty even with long hair or short hair.
14. [+41,  0] I think D.O. is really handsome. He’s a good singer, a good actor, and handsome on top of that... I’m jealous.
Tumblr media
15. [+37,  0] There’s nothing to hate about Doh Kyungsoo. How can you even hate him. Has he ever gotten himself in controversy eversince debut?
16. [+34,  0] No, but. This person is truly cute. He’s really cute, but not just that, his face is also so good looking. If we’re talking about handsome guys, we can pick every members in the group. But for me, this person is the most good-looking one. He’s really damn, damn, damn handsome. When I saw him on the screen, I even went ‘huks!’.
17. [+34,  0] There’s a reason why a person receives love wherever he goes. He deserves that. That’s why I’ll always trust and love him.
18. [+33,  0] Cute! Cute! Cutie Kyungsoo, I love you!
Tumblr media
19. [+30,  0] Doh Kyungsoo is cute
Tumblr media
20. [+30,  0] Isn’t Kyungsoo so pretty today ㅠㅠㅠ He has been filming lately so he must be tired, I hope he’s adjusting his condition well...
Tumblr media
21. [+27,  0] Ah I’m going crazy, he’s too cute ㅋㅋㅋㅋ But, the way his personality (엄근진 : strict, serious, earnest) is the complete opposite of his looks, it adds more reason why he’s stan-worthy ㅋㅋㅌㅋ큐ㅠㅠㅠ
22. [+26,  0] It’s not easy (for an idol) to shave his hair to suit to the movie he played in, but even with shaved hair, he was so damn handsome. Look at our Kyungsoo. If someone is naturally handsome, the ‘hairstyle effect’ won’t work for him ㅠㅠ [T/N : ‘Hairstyle effect’ is a term to say, someone’s appearance will change according to his / her hairstyles. Ugly in some, pretty in some.]
Tumblr media
23. [+26,  0] Even if he has hair, even if he has no hair, even if he cut it short, he looks handsome in everything, isn’t he.
Tumblr media
24. [+25,  -3] For real. I’m a fan of another group. Still, I’ve a crush on this boy only.
25. [+24,  0] Ah... I’m a multifandom who collect the cuties, and... I approve him... he’s f*cking cute.
26. [+23,  0] Heard the webtoon ‘Bastard’ is going to be adapted into a movie. I wish he’ll be the one taking ‘the son’ role.
27. [+22,  0] No, he’s cute, but he’s also so freaking handsome. There are many visuals in EXO, but Doh Kyungsoo is truly handsome. He’s good looking even with shaved-head.
Tumblr media
28. [+22,  0] Seeing the 2nd picture (in OP post) makes me smashing a pillow.
Tumblr media
29. [+20,  0] But personally, I think the ‘slightly short, but styled’ hair fits D.O. so well. Somehow he looks like a flower-boy with long hair. And with the slightly sporty-hair, he’s like a freshly looking boy. Though actually, whatever he does, he emits this ‘young man’ feels ㅋㅋㅋㅋ Generally, since he looks so roundish-roundish, and his eyes that are like jade beads.
Tumblr media
30. [+19,  0] I saw Doh Kyungsoo acting in ‘It’s Okay, That’s Love’ and thought he was good. So I looked him up, and found that he’s in EXO. And that surprised me so much. Because of that, I kept looking for their videos, getting attracted, and now I’m a fan of every members ㅋㅋ Kyungsoo is really cute, damn he himself doesn’t know about it, but the fact is, whatever he does is so freaking cute. This adorable person.

1960′s Bond films ranked
,1960′s was the era of Bond mania ,and it was the decade with the most movies ,with 7 movies(Second to it is the 80′s with 6 movies ,then the 70′s with 5 ,90′s and 2000′s both only had 3 each ,and 2010′s only had 2 ) ,and since the 60′s is the most classic era of Bond ,I decided  to rank the 60′s Bond films
7.Casino Royale(1967)
Yup I am counting the unofficial movies too  and this is the only film on the list I would say is baaaaaaaaaaaaaaad. This is  a crappy movie, pure insanity  with no clear vision and it commits the biggest sin of a comedy :ITS NOT FUNNY .....Woody Allan as a Bond Villain is a funny joke though
Tumblr media
6.Thunderball(1965)
Only Bond film in which I have read the book. It’s an OK book ,love some of the characters  but it was just fine  .....But I like it better then the movie  .This is a boring movie  to me ,Largo is only remembered fondly cause he has an eyepatch as he is a lame villain  ,Domino is a lot less interesting then her book counterpart ,there is a cringeworthy scene with Bond blackmailing a physiotherapist into sleeping with him ,there is a random character who is important to the plot but the film doesnt treat him this way ,the Q scene feels less playful and more meanspirited  and underwater battles sound cool in theory ,but are dull in practice .That said I do like aspects ,Connery  is good ,I like the SPECTRE scene (Love Shadowy Blofeld ) ,the pre title action scene is great (Complete with ACTUAL WORKING REAL JETPACK ),The theme song performed by Tom Jones is AMAZING ,and  I do love the films main henchwoman Fiona Volpe ,she is such an awesome baddie I wish she was the MAIN villain  .I know it’s considered a classic but I just cant get into it
Tumblr media
5.You Only Live Twice (1967)
THis one I am .....Mixed about . I think it’s directed well ,there are some cool camera movements, the Little Nellie gyrocoptor is awesome  ,the fight scene against the driver (Played by Peter Maiva ,the grandfather of Dwayne “The Rock “ Johnson ,which is awesome )  is pretty badass , The Volcano Lair is SPECTACULAR (PRobabbly the best villain lair in the series ) ,Tiger Tanaka is a likable ally ,Aki is a great Bond Girl,Nancy Sinatras theme song is good ,it’s cool seeing a snapshot of 1960′s Japan ,the final battle is epic ,and Donald Pleasence is FANTASTIC as Blofeld ,bringing such a creepiness to a character who has been built up for 5 movies .....But  what holds it back for me is Connery looks so damn bored throughout the entire movie ,the plot I dont really care about ,Helga is just a rehash of Fiona and not even in a interesting  way ,KArl is such a boring henchman ,Aki is killed off just to be replaced by Kissy who is less interesting and I dont know why they didnt just have one Bond girl ,DOnald Pleasence is barely  in the movie ,and then you have Bond going undercover as a Japanese man......Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaah.This is just such a mixed bag of a movie for me
Tumblr media
4.Dr No (1962)
Now lets get to the good ones. This is a lowkey Bond adventure(As they couldnt afford to do one of the bigger stories ) ,and I imagine that can be jarring for someused to the high octane globe trotting adventures of the other films, and I have seen some calll it Vanilla  .....And I kind of like the simpler vibe of this film .Connery comes out the gate swinging ,he is suave and with moments of  brutality. Both the Bond girl and villain arent in the film long but Ursula Andress is memorable as Honey Ryder  and Joseph Wiseman as Dr No while only getting really one scene to show off has a cold  detached delivery to his lines that makes him extremely eerie (Would’ve preferred a Chinese actor  and am distressed none were even considered but thats the 60′s for you ) .Anthony Dawson  makes for a good secondary villain as Professor Dent  ,Jack Lord is a cool Felix Leiter ,John Kitzmiller is great as Bonds ally Quarrel ,the film sets up Bonds dynamics with both Bernard Lee’s M and Lois Maxwell’s Miss Moneypenny ,both making strong first impressions ,the film is brutal with it’s action ,and overalll it’s a good introduction to the world of Bond
Tumblr media
3.Goldfinger(1964)
The iconic Bond film .This film is fun ,plain and simple. It has flaws (Mainly there being a whole section of the plot involving gangsters that makes absolutely no sense and how Pussy Galore turns good is REALLLY cringeworthy) but I feel like the rest of the film is awesome  .The villain Auric Goldfinger is one of the best  (Easilly my second favorite in the series )ruthless and greedy but with an odd sense of charm ,I just love watching him .The films main henchman Oddjob   is also awesome  ,a super strong  silent loyal thug  who kills people with a toss of his killer bowler hat .Honor Blackman as Pussy Galore  is fantastic ,easily one of the best Bond girls, and while I dont like how her arc is handled,I do like that she starts off as a baddie .The film is full of classic moments from Goldfinger and Bonds golf game ,the laser scene (And the classic exchange “You expect me to talk”*Chuckles*”No mr Bond ,I expect you to DIE!!”),the fight between Bond and Oddjob in Fort Knox (Which is a gorgeous set by Ken Adam ) and of course the iconic image of the dead woman painted gold .I also have just a personal fondness for this film as when I was a kid we had a whole bunch of Bond films on VHS (From Dr No to Live and Let Die ) and this was the one I watched the most
Tumblr media
2.From Russia With Love (1963)
I flip flop on whether I like Goldfinger or From Russia With Love more ,and I think I prefer From Russia With Love ,for one simple reason :Goldfinger is a fun action romp .....From Russia With Love is a genuinely intriguing spy movie .It’s also cool cause it is a direct sequel to Dr No which is an anomaly in the classic Bond films. There isnt one villain in this film ,it’s an organization ,SPECTRE ,meaning we get a whole ensamble of villains (Including creepy evil genius Kronsteen and SPECTRES head thug Morzeny),but the stand outs are Red Grant  played by Robert Shaw of Jaws fame, a sadistic assassin who is sort of Bonds dark mirror  and Lotte Lenya as Rosa Klebb ,a former SMERSH agent now working for SPECTRE ,who is commanding in every scene .....EXCEPT fore when she is around the films true villain Blofeld,in those scenes  she is TERRIFIED ,and thats a detail I love cause it adds to Blofeld mystique, that if he can scare KLEBB he is a force to be reckoned with  .I also love that we dont actuallly SEE Blofeld beyond his hands stroking his cat  ,and yet personality wise we get everything we need to know (That and his deep commanding voice which I LOVE ) .We also get Kerim Bey who is hands down the BEST Bond sidekick ,he is so lovable and charming,it’s hard not to like him.Connery is excellent  as usual ,all the action is awesome including Bond evading a helicopter ,a climatic boat chase,an encounter with a deadly piece of footwear, and a absolutely brutal fight between Grant and Bond on the Orient Express .If I have one  complaint I am not that fond of how the Bond Girl Tatiana  is written but  Daniela Bianchi does a good job .Overall this is a great movie
Tumblr media
1.On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (1969)
This is my favorite Bond movie .It is at it’s core a love story and a damn good one .Diana Rigg steals this entire movie as Tracy  ,she is the best Bond girl .Telly Savals is charming ,intelligent ,but also tough as hell as Blofeld ,he is my third favorite Bond villain  and hands down my favorite Blofeld .I think the film contains one of the best evil plans (And surprisingly relevent over 50 years later ),Irma Bunt is a terrific henchwoman ,Gabriele Ferzetti is  entertaining as Tracy’s criminal father Draco ,Louis Armstrongs We Have All The Time In The World is a terrific love song  ,I love the setting of the Swiss Alps ,the film somehow makes a BOBSLED chase badass ,and the ending  is unforgettable .Now the one common complaint people have is George Lazenby ,and while I agree he isnt great ......He is a good Bond ,and he hits the dramtic  notes when he needs to .I adore this movie and reccomend it to non Bond fans  even

DAVEED DIGGS TAKES HIS TALENTS TO ESPN FOR MUSICAL PARTNERSHIP
Daveed Diggs is taking his talents from Broadway to ESPN. In a new partnership, the multifaceted actor, rapper and singer  — as seen in the Broadway-turned-global hip-hop musical phenomenon Hamilton and on the ABC hit series blackish as Rainbow Johnson’s brother, Johan — will write and perform six pieces pegged to timely cultural sports moments.
For his first act, the Oakland native will dedicate a monologue to his hometown team, the Golden State Warriors, as they defend their NBA championship title this season. Stay tuned for the first piece set to debut around the start of the Warriors season this month on all ESPN platforms, and get more familiar with Diggs’ inner sports geek and future plans with ESPN below. Diggs also shares his love note to the Bay Area in the form of a West Coast-themed playlist.
How has the partnership with ESPN pushed you creatively versus other projects?
Well, it’s interesting because it’s so specific. We’re really trying to make these pieces for specific events. So this first one being the first Warriors game of the season is just everybody working towards this one goal of creating this thing that is fun and that can have a life outside of this but it’s also really tailored to these specific moments in sports over the course of the year. I think that the challenge and fun of it is the specificity and trying to make something feel like something for everybody.
What was your fondest sports memory growing up?
Before I could remember, the [San Francisco] 49ers won a Super Bowl as I was being born against the [Cincinnati] Bengals in ‘82. That became kind of legendary in my house growing up. So I sort of grew up in Oakland being a Raiders fan and a Niners fan, but that was a good time to be a Niners fan because of Joe Montana, Jerry Rice, Ronnie Lott, all those guys. I have this vague memory, like at seven years old, [when] I went to the day lounge football camp where a bunch of those guys were there. That was crazy. Then, many years later in 2012, I was with Freestyle Love Supreme at the Super Bowl in New Orleans. I met Jerry Rice again, but really for the first time there, and I kind of had this flashback of shaking his hand when I was seven years old.
How do you plan to incorporate music in your original pieces for ESPN as a way to depict notable sports moments?
Well, it’s all music. We’re not doing anything that’s not musical but the music comes first, so we’re really focused on getting the song right then we try to create a visual piece that really complements the song.
What were some recent sports stories that you felt impacted today’s culture or resonated with you?
I think the rise of [Golden State Warrior] Steph Curry as such a major star in basketball is a big thing because, for where we are now, he’s such an atypical player. He wasn’t huge. To be a superstar like that, to be so consistent from the three-point line, it’s added to this idea that sort of you can figure out your own way to be amazing at something. You don’t have to do it the way everybody else does it.
Marshawn [Lynch’s] return to the Raiders has been big for me this season thus far. And the real story about Marshawn — and I hope we get to do a piece on this at some point — is really sort of the anti-gentrification work he’s been doing in Oakland while being back playing for the Raiders. He’s always been in the community, he’s always been around, but his production company is shooting films in Oakland. And I just finished shooting a film in Oakland as well. There’s definitely push for people who are really from Oakland [and] our gaining of some sort of visibility to try and keep some of the things in tact that we loved about that place growing up. [With] his clothing store downtown, Marshawn is really all over the place there, and he’s such a great ambassador of the city both in terms of what he’s doing to actually help people but also his being unafraid to stand up for the thing he believes in. He’s always sort of worn his politics on his sleeve. My favorite thing during the whole “Take a Knee” discussion was when Marshawn finally commented on it, and he was like, ‘I haven’t stood for the National Anthem since I was 17 years old, like, I’ve never done that.’
And then, of course, the Take a Knee [protest] has been huge. I have always been very proud of [former Niners quarterback and current free agent] Colin Kaepernick, despite everything that it’s caused him. I think in the recent debate, it’s gotten so muddy, which is what this administration does really well: muddy up the actual issue of the thing when it comes right down to players, organizations or sports taking a moment to demonstrate that the way that the country’s being run is detrimental to people of color. People who are making up a large part of the folks we have playing these sports are important. I think that, as that debate and that protest continues to morph and take shape, that’s gonna be an interesting one to watch.
It’s sort of fascinating how [President Donald] Trump’s comments about players who take a knee are the kind of things slave owners say about property. That’s what it is when it comes right down to it. And so we’re treating athletes as property, that’s what [Trump] is suggesting. He is suggesting harsher punishments on players who disrespect the country in this way, and the country under his control doesn’t necessarily deserve their respect in the same way and really has nothing to do with the military or any of that. This is about holding a country accountable for the way they treat its citizens.

Four shows are opening on Broadway in March. Two of them are transfers from Off-Broadway that thrilled audiences in very different ways: “Be More Chill” and “What The Constitution Means To Me.” The other two bring to Broadway some beloved tunes — a revival of Cole Porter’s “Kiss Me Kate” and “Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations”
But as savvy New York theatergoers know, Broadway ain’t the half of it: For every “Ain’t Too Proud” on Broadway, there’s an “Ain’t No Mo'” Off-Broadway.  Among the shows opening Off-Broadway in March:
Daveed Diggs in White Noise by Suzan-Lori Parks (Public Theater)
Playwright Suzan-Lori Parks – White Noise
Florian Zeller
Alan Cumming in Daddy by Jeremy O. Harris (Vineyard and the New Group)
Daveed Diggs in “White Noise,” a new play by Suzan-Lori Parks (Top Dog/Underdog); Isabelle Huppert in The Mother, a new play by Florian Zeller (The Father); Alan Cumming in “Daddy,” a new play by Jeremy O. Harris (Slave Play.)
Below is a selective list of Broadway, Off-Broadway, Off-Off Broadway and festival offerings in February, organized chronologically by opening date, with each title linked to a relevant website. Color key of theaters: Broadway: Red. Off Broadway: Black, Blue, or Purple. Off Off Broadway: Green. Theater festival: Orange. Puppetry: Brown. Immersive: Magenta.
To look at the Spring season as a whole, check out my Off Broadway Spring 2019 preview guide and my Broadway 2018-2019 season guide
March 1
Ajijaak on Turtle Island (New Victory)
A “family-friendly First Nations spectacle.” Separated from her family in a Tar Sands fire, the crane Ajijaak makes her first migration from Canada to the Gulf Coast alone, discovering the strength of her song along the way.
Chained: A Victorian Nightmare: (FOST at Starrett-Leigh Building )
An immersive theater VR adaptation of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol. Tickets sold only as an add-on to the FOST (Future of Storytelling) Story Arcade, which is described as a “pop-up, showcasing a… sampling of  immersive, experiential, and multi-sensory exhibits.”
March 5
Daddy (Vineyard at Signature)
In the second Off-Broadway play by Jeremy O. Harris (who gained some notoriety with his Slave Play in the fall), Alan Cumming plays Andre, an older white art collector who befriends Franklin, young black artist on the verge of his first show. Their bond creates a battle of wills with Franklin’s mother.
The Cake (MTC at City Center)
In what sounds like a recent Supreme Court case, Debra Jo Rupp portrays a baker in North Carolina who refuses to create a wedding cake for a same-sex couple. The difference — one of the brides is the daughter of a dear friend, now deceased. The play is by Bekah Brunstetter (who writes for the TV series This Is Us.)
  March 7
Fleabag (Soho Playhouse)
The play by Phoebe Waller-Bridge that inspired the BBC television series currently being shown on Amazon Prime.
Actually We’re F**ked (Cherry Lane)
In this play by  Matt Williams, “four millennials gather every Thursday to order take-out, drink too much wine, and argue over how to unf**k the planet.”
Chick Flick The Musical (Westside Theater)
In this musical by Suzy Conn, four friends gather to unwind, watch a chick flick and play their favorite chick flick drinking game.
Chimpanzee (HERE)
A “non-verbal puppet play based on true events.” An aging, isolated chimpanzee pieces together the fragments of her childhood in a human family
March 10
  Be More Chill (Lyceum)
Broadway transfer of the teenage cult musical about high school student  Jeremy Heere who sees himself as a loser but then swallows a pill containing a supercomputer and becomes cool — but at what cost?
My review of Be More Chill Off-Broadway
If Pretty Hurts Ugly Must Be a Muhfucka(Playwrights Horizons)
In the village of Affreakah-Amirrorkah, no one questions that Akim is the one true, perfect beauty — not even her jealous classmates. But they’ll be damned before they let her be the leading lady in this story. A decidedly contemporary riff on a West African fable by Tori Sampson
March 11
The Mother (Atlantic)
Isabelle Huppert stars in a play by Florian Zeller (The Father) as a woman suffering from clinical depression and grasping for stability after her grown children move on to build lives of their own.
Southern Promises (Flea)
A revival of Thomas Bradshaw’s incendiary 2008 play: On his deathbed, a plantation owner vows to set his slaves free, but when his wife rejects the request chaos erupts on the plantation.
  March 12
Ashes (HERE)
In a small village in the south of Norway, a young man sets houses on fire, and a writer seizes them as literary material several decades later. From Plexus/Polaire, the Norwegian/French avant-garde theater company that in January presented Chambre Noir
March 13
Surely Goodness and Mercy (Keen Company at Theater Row)
In this play by Chisa Hutchinson (“She Like Girls,” “Dead & Breathing”), a Bible-toting boy with a photographic memory befriends the cantankerous old lunch lady in an underfunded public school in Newark.
Hatef**k (WP)
In this play by Rehana Lew Mirza, passions ignite when Layla, an intense literature professor, accuses Imran, a brashly iconoclastic novelist, of trading in anti-Muslim stereotypes. But as their attraction grows into something more, they discover that good sex doesn’t always make good bedfellows.
March 14
Kiss Me Kate (Roundabout at Studio 54)
Kelli O’Hara and Will Chase star as warring ex-lovers forced to portray the warring couple of Shakespeare’s ‘The Taming of the Shrew’  in this third Broadway revival of Cole Porter’s 1948 musical. The winner of the first-ever Tony Award for Best Musical, the show features such familiar tunes as “Too Darn Hot,” “So In Love” and “Always True To You In My Fashion.”
  Georgia Mertching is Dead (EST)
In this play by Catya McMullen, three 30-year-old women who have been friends since high school set off on a road trip south–with homemade female urination devices, too much pie, ill-advised sexual escapades–to celebrate and mourn a figure from their past.
Rogues Gallery (Broken Ghost)
Unleash your inner villain in this fully immersive evening of world conquest and inevitable betrayal!
March 18
Culturemart Festival (HERE)
Cannabis! by Baba Israel, 9000 Paper Balloons by Spencer Lott & Maiko Kikuchi,Songs of Sanctuary for the Black Madonna by Imani Uzuri,A Voluptuary Life by James Scruggs,Paper Room by Laura Peterson

March 19
Juno and the Paycock (Irish Rep)
Part of the theater’s season of Sean O’Casey, the play is a devastating portrait of wasted potential in a Dublin torn apart by the chaos of the Irish Civil War. When a handsome visitor arrives with news of an inheritance, the Boyle family begins to plan their new life, but their apparent salvation soon reveals itself to be the cause of their ruin
March 20
White Noise (Public)
Daveed Diggs (Hamilton) returns Off-Broadway in a new play by Suzan-Lori Parks, directed by Public Theater artistic director Oskar Eustis. Long-time friends and lovers Leo, Misha, Ralph, and Dawn are educated, progressive, cosmopolitan, and woke. But when a racially motivated incident with the cops leaves Leo shaken, he decides extreme measures must be taken for self-preservation
St. Peter’s Foot (UP Theater)
Mike and Roma think they made the right decision in not having children. Then a baby is left on their doorstep
March 21
Aint Too Proud (Imperial)
“Ain’t Too Proud: The Life and Times of the Temptations” stars Jeremy Pope (Choir Boy) as Eddie Kendricks, Ephraim Sykes as David Ruffin, etc. This new musical with a book by Dominique Morisseau helmed by the director of “Jersey Boys” follows The Temptations’ journey from the streets of Detroit to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame.
March 25
Accidentally Brave (DR2 Theater)
Actor and playwright Maddie Corman shares her true story of what happened after her husband was arrested on a shocking charge.
March 27
The Lehman Trilogy (Park Ave Armory)
Italian playwright Stefano Massini’s play, adapted by Ben Power and directed by Sam Mendes (The Ferryman!) stars acclaimed actors Simon Russell Beale, Adam Godley, and Ben Miles and the Lehman brothers and their sons and grandsons over nearly two centuries, climaxing with the end of the firm that bore their name in the crash of 2008.
Ain’t No Mo’ (Public)
In this satire by Jordan E. Cooper that began at the Fire This Time Festival, African-Americans leave en masse a country plagued with injustice.
March 31
What The Constitution Means To Me (Helen Hayes)
Fifteen-year-old Heidi Schreck earned enough money for her college tuition by winning Constitutional debate competitions across the United States. Now, the Obie Award winner resurrects her teenage self in order to trace the profound relationship between four generations of women in her own family and the founding document that dictated their rights and citizenship. My review of the play Off-Broadway
  Do You Feel Anger? (Vineyard)
In this play by Mara Nelson-Greenberg , Sophia is hired as an empathy coach at a debt collection agency
March 2019 New York Theater Openings Four shows are opening on Broadway in March.
