i get this interpretation but i always thought about it in another way
i elaborated in the tags about it but oh boi oh boi im now thinking about this again and i have been thinking about this, like, for a long time already
so, yeah, the console room is indeed doctor's room
but it's partly because he always have smth to do in there
i found myself thinking 'hey, we sometimes see the companion's room in the tardis, but we never see the doctor's, why is that?'
and then i realised
we see it all the time
because it's the console room

In Any Lifetimes
...........
So.
Ghost King Danny (and or) Ancient of Space.
Basically POWERFUL Danny gets summoned to the DC world.
How?
Because his reborn lover/partner/wife(or husband) was being used as a 'sacrifice' to summon him. (Danny and his partner (not picky who, could be a DP character or a made up one) sometimes they relive lives together, but Danny due to King duties can't always join his 'other' (or Forevermores as I like to coin them as) into new worlds for a few years.
Who is partner was reborn as, I leave up to you all!~

No jokes here. The Navy’s best pilot and the Navy’s best admiral. Between them, eight air-to-air combat kills and five stars. These were men who commanded respect with or without your approval. This was the picture of ruthless competence.

I want to say my favorite part of Mizuki's event is how they emphasized Mizuki isn't really afraid of not being accepted anymore.
It's to just admit that truth about yourself and have everything change, to show your pain and have people view you differently because of it. It's not even that they won't treat you with kindness in fact it's that kindness itself that's painful.
You just want things to stay to same even if it hurts because even if you know the people around you can help you, you don't want to ruin their own perception of view.
Like ezuifhEHIGUIT i'm gonna cry goodbye everybody

I need to talk about Julian's whole thing with Sloan in Extreme Measures cause it does actually make me feel a certain kind of rabid
Extreme Measures is a great episode for the Julian/Miles dynamic and has a lot of great moments with them but I think an underrated element of the episode is how it very plainly shows just how much the Dominion War has changed Julian, and how his morals have shifted into a much greyer area
Julian in this episode is very callous towards Sloan even as he's literally dying. he has no issues violating Sloan's mind, and when Sloan dies, the only reason he actually cares is because the answers and secrets Sloan has will die with him. truly cannot emphasize enough just how deeply Julian fucking hates Sloan, and sheer hatred isnt something we really see all that much from Julian, especially not to the degree he was with Sloan
even with that, though, Julian has never been like that with another patient. Julian doesnt let his personal feelings get in the way of being a doctor, and always treats his patients with the utmost care and his best work. Julian was willing to find a cure for the Jem'Hadar's addiction, simply because they asked for help, even if it meant potentially making them into a much bigger threat than they already were. Julian treated Tain in Camp 371. and, sure, Julian does treat Sloan, but he does so explicitly because Sloan has information they need, not because he has any care for Sloan's life
and I think that- his willingness to violate Sloan's mind to get what they need, and how he didn't particularly care that Sloan died- is a really bleak look at just how much the war has changed Julian and how much it's shifted his moral compass. throughout the war, Julian has been ordered time and time again to compromise his morals. add to that several traumatic events- multiple of which are orchestrated by Sloan- and a slide into deep depression, and it's no wonder he gets to a point where he can do the things he does in this episode
and I dont think it hits him until much later. I think one day, long after the war has ended and theyre still rebuilding everything that was broken, Julian lays awake at night and remembers how bad it got and what he became willing to do, and it makes him sick to his stomach

i thought itd be funny if, aside from just getting the eyes like everyone else, naberius keeps giving ianthe a cleft chin (like he's got) and no matter how many times she tries to get rid of it, it keeps coming back and it looks so out of place on her and she hates it . psychological warfare

Doctor said my condition 'looks and sounds just like lupus' in his own words, repeatedly comparing my facial patterns- to then blaming it on me being transgender after seeing my chest scars while checking my heart rate. Blames it on testosterone use. I haven't been on T for years.
On the way out asked what pronouns to use on my medical papers. I said I don't care, whatever's least confusing. He then asks again, stating that trans people are 'sensitive' and get upset about their paperwork.
Starting over again. More medical bills and need new referrals. :(

read on ao3
(based off this post I made, with some minor differences)
Summary:
While out on a call, Buck gets a bad feeling about a neighborhood. Following in Bobby's footsteps, he returns to the scene to investigate. When he hears a girl screaming for help, he doesn't hesitate, but he may end up becoming the victim himself.
Excerpt:
Buck woke up to a splitting pain in the back of his head. He groaned. He was pretty sure blood was on his neck. It felt wet and sticky.
He squeezed his eyes shut before trying to open them.
It took a few blinks before he could keep them open.
And it took even longer for them to adjust to the darkness around him.
He was lying on the floor, but for some reason his arms were dangling above him.
He tried to pull them down and that's when he realized they were zip-tied to something. His legs were tied together too.
He sat up quickly, his head thumping with the movement.
Another groan escaped before he could stop it.
He felt around the best he could, trying to figure out what he was tied to.
“It's the radiator.”

I love that Nasuada's major flaw is the same as one of Galbatorix's greatest flaws, and that it gets worse and more ingrained throughout the series. And it's so compelling because it's incredibly in character for her and there's every reason for the circumstances to perpetuate and exacerbate it, but that doesn't make her flaw any less egregious. The scene where Galbatorix compares the two of them is so fascinating because his intention is very manipulative and malicious, yet the statement itself isn't entirely untrue.
Because Nasuada treats people like tools. She considers a person's utility more important than anything else, including their personhood.
And it's such an engrossing flaw because of course Nasuada treats people like tools! She is proud and powerful and stubborn and noble and utterly committed to achieving what she has set out to do, by whatever means necessary. She will use whatever she has at her disposal to reach her goal, and that includes using the people around her. Of course, this doesn't make Nasuada inherently immoral; she cares deeply about justice and protecting her people. But her views on the individuals around her are impersonal and self serving.
And the goal she's trying to achieve is to win the war. Nasuada would never be pushed out of her ways by the circumstances because they work, the way she treats people accomplishes exactly what she intends. By its nature, the bloody act of war rewards using people like tools. It demands that, even; to a certain extent, it's an ugly necessity in war, but the thing is that Nasuada doesn't see it that way. She never struggles with or grieves over the need to consider people's individuality as secondary to their function. It comes naturally to her, and it lasts through the end of the books, when the war is already over.
Because I think the most flagrant example of this is at the very end, when Birgit intercepts Roran as he's leaving, presumably intending to kill him, and Nasuada says, "He has proved himself a fine and valuable warrior on more than one occasion, and I would be most displeased to lose him." It's such a wonderful, pointed line that perfectly sums up this aspect of her character. Because what a disgusting thing to say. Especially for the queen of all Alagaesia, perfectly positioned and empowered to stop this confrontation and declare it unjust if she cared to. But her words make no attempt at all to defend Roran as a person, only his value to her.
The way she uses others I find most evident in her treatment of Roran, Murtagh, and Elva. The way she tells Eragon that she thinks of giving Katrina a dowry as a "purchase" of Roran's goodwill and loyalty. In Uru'baen, only at great length, she makes the conscious choice to ignore Murtagh's past and only judge who he is in the present, but disregards any care for what that might say about him as a person, solely focused on if he could be useful as an ally. And when Eragon offers to revert Elva's curse, the one that condemned an infant to feel every piece of pain and suffering surrounding her, Nasuada is so fixated on Elva's utility and value to Nasuada's goals that she goes so far as to ask Eragon to fake his effort to cure her. She sees people as tools to such an extent that she can't recognize that relieving an innocent baby of unimaginable, cursed agony should come before her own priorities.

ED 13A - Hired Puppet It's all that you have ever wanted! Pray that you will never come to regret this decision.
(based on @youneedthisjob's current portrayal of protag that you should totally go interact/ send asks/ follow/ give love to because holy shit i've been going insane by fortune's characterisation of him. and protag's in a newly started arc akin to ED 13 so go send asks and get blasted with lore and pain)
((also also under the cut is a monochrome version without the pixel-esque overlay because he's too colourful. i want my grey tones.))
